Fandom Into the fire (1x1 MzHyde/Gallifrog)

She couldn't help but just chuckle at his comment about making it up as you go along. That was quite literally her life. She didn't know how to try and make her birth father like her? She made something up, he left her alone? Made something up with Sam and got adopted, get bored with her and decide to come back to the UK on a whim to go university just so she could draw all day long. Everything she did, was making it up on the spur of the moment. It was nothing new for her at all.

She noted his raised eyebrow at her little remark and it felt like roles had reversed. She was used to being the one who constantly raised an eyebrow at his remarks. She just smirked cheekily at his comment, "Hey... A girl can have her moments too" she chimed, "especially when she's with you" she added, leaning in and kissing him before leaning away slightly. He really did make it hard for her to be good and he doesn't even do anything.

In response he raised his other eyebrow upwards, giving him a very strange facial expression altogether. Kay really did know how to push his buttons, even if she didn't know she was doing it at the time. "Oh really now?" was as far as his smart response got before it was cut off by being kissed by Kay. And as always, all other thoughts flew out of his head. Kay always had that affect on him, even though he never owned it up to it. It was probabaly due their bond and prophecy whatnot, but all he could think about right now was Kay.

It took an unearthly amount of self restraint for John not to slam Kay hard against the wall and kiss her senseless for as long as possible. Instead he raised a hand, gently placed it against her cheek before kissing her again.

Seeing his reaction to her cutting off his sentence made her feel rather quite smug. She just winged it in hopes that she did make him crazy the same way he made her crazy. It was always difficult to control herself when they were alone, and in this moment she was done with controlling herself, so she decided to be the damn flirt she was around him. She guessed he'd never own up to exactly what effect she had on him, at least not yet anyway. Maybe one day he'd finally tell her but for now she didn't mind he kept it to himself.

She wasn't expecting him to place his hand so gently on her cheek before kissing her back. She had to give him props for the softer approach, as she was half expecting much different. Maybe it because last time it wasn't so gentle, maybe it was because of another reason. She didn't know, nor did she care. She returned his kiss gladly, keeping her arms locked over his shoulders for now. She had a feeling though it would give long before her hands wandered.

John knew she wasn't expecting him to be gentle, the last time they'd been alone, properly alone, his rougher side had shown. It would be a lie to say he didn't get a kick out of being unsurprising. His rougher streak was always there when he'd been hooking up with whoever, but like so many other things about him, it was different when Kay was around. So he was trying to keep a lid on it, he wasn't quite ready to let himself fully go, he was stronger than both of them knew, and last th hung he needed was to hurt somebody who meant a lot to him.

He kissed her back, reflexively pulling her closer against him. It just felt right to have her this close. Like this was where she was meant to be. His hands had not moved position either, but like with Kay, it wouldn't be long before they did.

Kay, like John, was trying to keep control of herself. She just always wanted to be as close as possible with him. She had never once felt the kind of need like this with anyone before she met John. As he pulled her closer to him, she felt herself press against him. Kay just knew how to react to whatever action he made with her and it felt like it should always be like that every time. She could never out words to what she had with him, to say she cared so much for him she couldnt envision her life without him was quite frankly, an understatement.

Like last time, his kiss was a drug to her and she felt like she needed more every time. He was a drug to her, she knew that much. Her hands soon moved from his round neck, and it did t take her long at all to pull his tie off and throw it down onto the floor. Yet when she did so, it was different to the last time, there wasn't the almost animalistic craving this time.

If Kay couldn't think of words to describe how she felt, then John had absaloutly no chance of being able to do such a thing. For him describing Kay as a drug didn't even come close to expressing the need. And he had been on far too many drugs in his time, this was far different. Someday maybe he'd figure it out, but for now, he just let it happen.

He could tell that this was different from last time, sure they both wanted each other, but the animalistic hunger they had possesed was missing, or at the very least not anywhere near as strong as it had been back in The House. He didn't make any moves in response to her removal of his tie....yet.

Kay was completely taken in by John, there was no denying that by this stage. Her whole being craved him, and it honestly felt like they had been together for far longer than the months they had been in reality. Every kiss he gave her, she wanted more as she returned it with just equal intensity he gave her. Her hands drifted down and slid into his shoulders but under his trenchcoat, sliding it down and off him. She never understood why they both kept their jackets on whilst in this ship, yet they both did it.

She pulled her own jacket off, finding that though it wasn't fitted by any stretch of the imagination, it was in the way and she chucked it on the floor, before putting her full attention back to John.

John knew exactly why he kept the coat on, it was a part of him, not quite symbiotic, but more a part of him than any other garmend ever would be. It completed his image, sure, he felt more comfortable with it in. And unlike the heroes, it didn't look as gods-damned stupid as a cape. And even when walking at a regular pace, the trenchcoat moved behind him in a dramatic way, hinting at the type of person he was.

He would have taken off Kay's jacket, had she not beaten him to it. So instead he pulled off his shirt in one motion, tossing it towards the vague direction of the growing pile of clothes.

Kay smiled, she had no idea why but she just did in these moments, she went back in for another kiss, feeling like she wanted to steal every single one from him even though she knew he was hers no matter what. The clothes were I deed growing on the floor but she didn't care one bit. All she cared about was being with John. She knew they were hidden well in this ship and wouldn't be caught but the idea of possibly being caught just spurred her on more.

She pulled her vest up and off, throwing that onto the pile before her hands found their way back onto John's body. Her slender frame that John had explored last time pressed against him once more. The faint scar from the iron dagger stab wound now vanished completely, her skin completely untainted, apart from her back tattoo. Her hair flowed down her back, with just a few strands hanging down the front of her face.

Even though John had seen it all before, the sight of Kay in front of him still took his breath away. (another thing he wouldn't admit to). He noted that the stab scar had gone, the blessing of a healing factor. He and Elliott both relied on magic and the medical skills of those around them to heal from bad injuries. But if he had a choice, he would still keep his scars. They mapped across his body, a powerful reminder of the past, telling the story of his life, his failures and his success.

From the suicide scars on his arms, to the torture scars on his rib cage, to like on his skull where his head had been cracked open, they told the tale of who he was. Some defined him as a person others just strengthened what was already there. Elliott's scar spoke a multitude even to those who didn't know the story of his exile. That did define him, he'd seen the young Elliott struggle with being marred at such a young age. But as he grew, he'd let it become a source of pride. He would not let it drag him down, let them win by marking him for life. And Rinaa's scar spoke of survival of a trauma that should have killed her. Triumph over the odds of the cruel world.

He swapped between running his hands over Kay's body, taking in every detail through his fingertips and removing the rest of their clothing- the final barriers between them. John's body, with the imperfections of the scars and the defined tone of his muscles combined with the dark ink of his tattoos, was art of some sort. A harsher, rougher version of those Greek marble statues that people spent far to much time envying.

If Kay could keep certain scars she would. It would have sounded utterly bizarre to those who wouldn't know who she truly was or the life she lived. She honestly hoped the iron induced scar would have stayed. It would have been a reminder that she wasn't completely immune to everything and there was some part of her inhuman being that was in fact human. But low and behold, her phoenix blood made it not be so. She remembered over the years she'd try to see what would leave a scar and nothing ever stayed. As for John's, his scars along with his tattoos and general being was loved by Kay. He may not have perfect flawless skin but that was another reason she was drawn to him. His whole body told a story of how strong he was, of all the tribulations he endured and survived. He was the most fascinating human being she had ever met.

His touch like always, sent electric shivers through her skin that she loved. He just set her alight metaphorically and she never would tire of that. They were bare to each other and it didn't phase her one bit. He could see every part of her and vise versa. She lifted herself up via the wall behind them and wrapped her legs around him. She was his to take and only his....

John knew that she was his and his only and that by the same token, he was hers, and always would be. Hells, he always had been, long before they knew each other. He used his body to pin her against the wall. He didn't take her straight away, not driven by the same animalistic lust as the last time. He drew it out, making a game of sorts out of it. He started off slow, measured, taking in every centimetre of her, kissing her neck, her cheeks. Feeling her sides, her back, her legs. He knew how to pleasure her, something inside him just told him what to do.

An instinct, the bond..whatever it was he knew what to do. He had enough brain function left to remember to condom in his pocket. And then he took her properly, against the wall of a secret room in a spaceship hurtling through the void at incredible speed. He wasn't as rough as the last time, but he wasn't exactly gentle either.

Knowing he was hers and hers alone made her know she was where she was meant to be and she would never be hurt and left alone again. She kept herself distant for years from people who wanted her romantically, but that little 9 years old kid always kept her from being close to anyone. It was now that she knew why. Her entire soul was waiting for John. She let him make a game of it, her body reacting positively to every single touch, kiss and graze he made towards her. In the same process, she did the same toward him, her fingers on his back, the back of his head, twining themselves in his messy blonde hair, her legs never once buckling under his touch.

Knowing where they were whilst finally letting themselves succumb to the desires and temptations they both had clearly been feeling this entire time made everything feel so much more in her Kay's mind. Not everyone could say they were intimate with the one they truly loved and were always destined to be with on a spaceship flying through the galaxy. It was something else when he took her in that very moment, they just seemed to mirror each other so perfectly...

It was her fingers in his hair that drove John the craziest. It sent all kinds of feeling through him. He had no idea why it was his hair that was so sensitive. And it was only like that when Kay did it. She could probabaly draw a map of the three jagged scarlines that crossed the back of his head from all her feeling of it. He felt proper pleasure for the first time in a long while. The fact that it was in the most bizarre of settings (at least in the human mind) just made it better. It seemed so surreal and yet so right.

When it was over he lay next to her on the ground, just admiring internally how they seemed to fit perfectly into one another. He had both arms around her, one hand gently feeling the back of her neck. "I can safely say that wa my first time shagging anyone on a spaceship" He murmered softly.

Kay just seemed to know that her fingers in his hair was what drove him wild. She loved how he reacted to her touch.

As she laid in his arms, the most secure she had been in his arms yet. The feeling of his fingers on the back of her neck making lightly him contently and smile. Her own hands lightly placed on his chest, one hand following the line of his collarbone. A light chuckle escaped her lips when he said what he did. "Makes two of us. One hell of a memory though" she smirked. There was no way she'd ever forget this, it trumped their first time in The House by far. Then an amusing thought came to her mind of the possibility of their daughter being conceived on the ship. It'd certainly make for an interesting story that was for sure.

"One hell of a memory indeed" he smirked in response wondering when it would come out and what the reactions would be. He could imagine it being said when they all start bitching and boasting about the past year while they waited for midnight on New Year's Eve. There was never anything good on so it just turned into an alcohol fuelled venting session. Chas would probabaly say it was "typical of him". Elliott would no doubt be embarrassed as hell, which was under stable, there were some mental images you just didn't need in life. And Jay..would no doubt make some comment about the ship not doing anything to deserve such treatment by them.

Looking back with hindsight he was very surprised that Chas hadn't done his typical interrupting act, calling them up to the bridge to see Attil. Timing was on his side for once. He continued rubbing Kay's neck and shoulder.

Kay deep down knew it would come out eventually what they did. Yet the fact everyone on board practically was implying and insinuating they went at it like rabbits constantly and didn't want to sleep in the same quarters as them because of them sleeping together, it shouldn't really be a shock to them. She had a hunch it'd happen eventually on board, it was just a matter of time in her eyes. Time became lost on Kay, she had no idea how long they were gone for, but she really didn't mind either way.

Kay stayed where she was, she was content and relaxed where she was. If she had her way, she'd gladly stay like this for all time but she knew that would never be possible or practical. She smirked at his reply, they really were always on the same wave length. "One day we'll find a more conventional place" she laughed as she just enjoyed his light touch. She always savoured his more loving side as she knew he didn't show it publicly, hell, even she didn't so to speak.

"Ah but where's the fun in that?" He replied, it would be inevitable that some day they would actually do it in a bedroom, but he wasn't sure if it would live up to the same hopes as their two times so far. Part of the reason it had been so enjoyable (at least for him) was the thrill of doing it in an unconventional place and the fear of getting caught definitely spiced things up. He knew they'd end up shagging on board, he'd almost said as much two days ago.

And it had 100% lived up to the time in The House, meaning their passion when together and alone hadn't been a once off. Whatever it was that they had between them, it was special, and worth fighting to keep alive.

"that is very true... Unconventional places does make it more fun" she replied to him. She would be an utter liar if she tried to say it didn't make things more exciting to her, thinking of the 'what if' scenario of being caught in the act. He'll, she'd probably burst out laughing if someone caught them as she could easily picture the horrified faces of the poor sod that walked in on them. Their love life certainly unconventional, so why would their sex life be any different?

It most certainly was special what they had, and she definitely would fight to keep it alive. She just knew from the way they were with each other that John thought the same way. It was yet another factor in what made Kay feel so secure with him and at home. She really didnt want to move from their position on the floor, despite being a hard floor, she was surprisingly comfortable. "As BS soppy as this sounds, I dont want anything to get between us John."

If she hadn't agreed with him, he would have challenged her on that. And it brought a smile to his face. On day, they would be caught, and he would more than likely burst out laughing as whoever found them would no doubt have turned some strange shade of reddish-purple and would be regretting ever knowing the two of them in the first place.

Yes, her words were soppy, so he responded with a similar statement to make them even. "Neither do I." And after saying that, he kissed her fiercely, to add validity to his words, only to be interrupted by the sound of Chas on the internal PA system. "Attil is coming into sight, so everyone get their asses up here, this is a view you don't want to miss" John rolled his eyes. "Unless it's Chas it seems"

Kay smiled, she knew he'd find her seriously soppy but she had to say it anyway. If she didn't it would only eat her up and it'd show which would make him make her say it anyway. So instead of denying the words from being said, she just let herself say it. Though it did make her happy that for once he didn't take the utter piss out of her for saying it. He agreed with her and openly admitted he thought the same thing. She would have openly showed her surprise but he fiercely kissed her before she could, to which she gladly returned the kiss.

Then came the interruption they were expecting all this time from Chas and she laughed at John's additional words to their previous declarations to each other. "Indeed, guess it's time to get up and get dressed" she sighed, shifting to sit up to grab her clothes, but not without leaving one more quick kiss on his lips as she did so. She grabbed her clothes and pulled everything back on, standing up to properly fasten her jeans and picked up her jacket as the last thing after smoothing out her hair.

John laughed, it was typical of Chas to interrupt with such precision timing. "Probably a good idea, if I showed up naked there would be questions and Chas taking the absolute piss, as I would expect him to." He pulled back on his clothes, demonstrating once again the advantages of always looking rumpled and messy. It meant even after having his clothes thrown on the ground and having sex in a secret room on board a spaceship, he looked exactly the same as normal when he got dressed again.

Swinging his coat around he glanced at Kay to check she was ready, before picking up one of the coffee bags they had found for the laugh and to see the reaction of the others. "Let's go then" He added before kissing her cheek and beginning the walk to the cockpit.

Kay had to admit to herself, she was a tiny bit jealous of his always looking messy and rugged in moments such as these. She would never tell him that though! Once she was ready and saw he was, she smirked as he snagged the coffee bag he had found earlier. "FYI, that chocolate you also found is ours only" she smirked. She had the attitude of 'finders keepers' and didn't care if it came across childish. Nodding, she went to walk back with him toward the cockpit smiling as he kissed her cheek, enjoying his outward show of affection that rarely happened.

It must have only taken around a minute or two max to reach the cockpit once more, and she climbed up the ladder to look out at Attil in the very near distance. Seeing it blew Kay away. Sure, they briefly visited other planets on their way to Attil but this felt like something else entirely.

The planet was barely bigger than a pea at that moment in time, yet by squinting details could be made out. It was Earth like from a distance with blue oceans of liquid water, white grey ice caps at each pole and landmasses of green, grey, brown, yellows and reds. But the real stunning factor was the rings that circled the planet. They didn't lie directly over the equator, instead slanting across the planet at a 37° angle. From their distance they couldn't make out the individual particles, but John knew that they were made of metallic rocks (which were mined for resources) and ice lumps. The planet was three or four times the size of Earth. It had no moons, but was surrounded by a series of satellites and orbital stations.

John was wide eyed, and Chas could barely contain it either. "Bloody bollocks, it is beautiful" He gasped, prompting a chuckle from Chas, which was followed shortly by laughter over the comms from Jay and Rinaa. "They weren't exaggerating" Realising neither were in the cockpit, John looked around confused until he looked sideways out of the cockpit windows and caught sight of Jay and Rinaa, standing side by side (without space suits on) out on the left wing just taking it all in.

Kay did nothing but take it all in. She wasn't sure if she could truly take it in properly but she was going to do her best to forever remember the sight and lock it tight in her memory. When John gasped out his thoughts, she just nodded slowly to mirror his words with her action. She just kept watching it get closer as they drew bearer to it. She knew she'd never see anything quite like it again. Then her thoughts were broken when she heard Jay and Rinaa respond without being in the room. It took her a few second to realise their words were coming through the comms and they were outside on the left wing.

"It is sure something" she just said breathy. She just knew she'd no doubt get blown away once more the moment they landed on the planet and stepped foot on its ground. She'd have to seriously out her poker face to good use when she stepped out onto Attil so she could keep her focus on the reason why they were there and not lose sight of that.
