Uta knew exactly what was coming when he heard the clanking of armor, he said nothing as he was cuffed and led out if the cell area. He kept his head down as they entered the large room where the council resided, he briefly looked up to see his family members, the scalite council members. Their stares seemed to burn right into his soul causing him to drop his head again his eyes locked onto the floor. He listened quietly as the charges against all of them were read.

Death? He heard the phrase "punishable by death" thrown out and it almost made him chuckle, death would be much preferable over the punishment he was going to receive from his family. The Scalite council members had already informed Uta what would happen if he ended up before them again, it was going to be a very long and painful lesson. So yes death would be a gift but it was one he knew he would not recieve.

He stood silent listening to test of the speech not once looking up so he could avoid his families gaze. He started to think he would never see Honarri again never get a chance to show her he could take care of her.

Trina heard the clanking of boots against the stone steps to the dungeon. Her chest began to tighten as she slowly began to lift herself off the damp floor. Her clothes covered in blood and filth she leaned into the bars for a chance to see the approaching guards. That’s when she saw them pour into the room in force and line up in front of the cells. She found herself swallowing her fear down as she heard the familiar voice of the High Commander. She had met him twice before, once at her brothers acceptance ceremony and again after her brother disappeared. Both times though he had the same cold intimidating attitude and both times he left Trina rattled.

The High Commander ordered his men to round them up and immediately the knights sprung into action. They threw open the cells and suddenly Trina found herself face down on the stone floor as they roughly put her hands into manacles. They stood her up and dragged her out into formation with their pikes all but piercing her back. She listened as the High Commander threatened them all and she felt the familiar chills ripple across her skin.

After introducing the prisoners to his pet axe; which made Trina unconsciously roll her eyes; they were all led up the steps out of the dungeon. She stumbled as she tried to climb them at the same pace. The guard behind her wasted no time shoving her back up the steps and into place. Moments later however they found themselves standing before the large intricate doors of the council chamber.

Seeing the doors again Trina was filled with a mixture of anger and awe. The doors were magnificently carved gold and many beautiful depictions of the history of the city. The doors were a work of art but she felt that the people behind those doors didn’t deserve the seats the sat in. She felt they built their “empire” on the work and sacrifice of all those below them. They did only enough to satiate the masses and prevent them from standing up. She gave a low growl before the doors were opened revealing the beautiful chambers beyond. The chambers stretched high up above them and accomplished their purpose of making them all feel small and insignificant.

As the Grandmaster began the proceedings Trina could feel her anger grow at the farce before them. The cat that found himself prisoner alongside the rest of them began to speak out about evidence and he attempted to sow doubt among the members of council. Trina chuffed out as she thought about how the council had dismissed everything to do with her brothers disappearance without proof or evidence. She felt they didn’t much care about those trivialities and they would make it up if they had to. After all who would challenge them if they told the populace that there was overwhelming proof. Trina had been labeled a troublemaker already for seeking out the truth and she had no delusions that this was all a show so they could justify killing them all.

Trina felt her anger grow to the point that it threatened to burst forth and tell the council how she felt. After all, she didn’t want to die with a whimper but rather a roar. Just as she opened her mouth to speak though she felt a calming presence within her. She closed her eyes and concentrated on that feeling and she could almost see the beautiful egg pulsing inside her head. No words came forth but she could tell that it was trying to calm her. She concentrated on that feeling and clung to it. She felt her body began to relax and her worry slowly vanish. She could hear the words echoing around the chamber but she desperately held onto that feeling for fear that it would disappear if she opened her eyes and let it go.

It was faint at first, but soon what had been an almost silent patter had quickly become the deafening clatter of an army. Knights poured in, creating a wall of spears and shields to keep the prisoners sealed within their cells. Following the army, in came a single man. This one man alone almost matched the intensity of the cavalcade of knights that had streamed in before, and Wayne held a mite of respect for the man.

Dmitri Krell, Wayne had heard tale after tale of the man while working in the tavern. He was a hero, Head Commander of the Dragon Riders. There were few men Wayne would hesitate to anger, but Krell was undoubtedly one of them.

“Round ‘em up. Fast and clean, no mistakes"

On the Commander's order, the shields parted way and the spear knights rushed in, shoving the prisoners to the ground. The poor kid that rushed Wayne instead ended up on the ground himself. With a roll of his eyes, the barman lay down and allowed himself to be cuffed.

The guards pulled them to the doors of their cells, pausing to allow the Commander to address them. Tough, it was more of a threat than anything else. He made it clear he wouldn’t put up with anything from them. His axe was awfully large, and Wayne had the brief thought that he might be compensating for something.

With that out of the way, the knights led them out of the dungeon. They paraded past various knights and riders as they made their way to the trial. Wayne recognized the four young knights he had fought. The one he had stabbed leaned against a stick for support. Despite the injury. The boy stared at him with admiration in his eyes. Another boy eyed Wayne with a different look, one of determination. He was the first of the young knights to be taken down, and he seemed not to be taking it well.

One of the knights behind him jabbed him with her spear, shooting him a fierce glare that got him moving again. Soon they had reached the towering door to the chambers of the High Council. The door itself was already extravagant enough, but it opened to reveal an even more lavish room within.

The council members were seated by race, and with a quick scan of the human councilmen Wayne was able to spot his grandfather. It wouldn’t take a genius to realize Bearnard Ó Cahan and Wayne were family, even without Wayne sporting his family’s surname. It was almost as though looking into a mirror, albeit one that aged him a good forty years or so.

Just as Wayne stared at Bearnard, another pair of eyes set on Wayne. Edmund Gentry watched him enter the room, intrigued at the sight of Tiernàn Ó Cahan's son.

As he and the others were lined up, Wayne's eyes were drawn to the Grandmaster. He quickly made his opinion on them clear, referring to the group as a “bunch of thugs and reprobates.”

He certainly hoped that wasn’t already the council's collective opinion on them, if so they may as well be done for.

The Grandmaster looked down in disgust as one of the prisoners began speaking their minds. He upturned his nose as the Bestias blabbered on about liberties and other nonsense. In front of the prisoners, High Commander Dmitri had removed his axe from his back slowly as Ki’Tavi made his case out of turn. With a quick swing, he brought the gleaming battleaxe down just barely close enough to shave a whisker from his face. Sparks showered forth as it collided with the flawless marble at Ki’Tavi’s feet. The room fell silent for a moment.

“Understand this, Bestias. We have little need for your pathetic mewling. Men have died. Good men. Our land’s greatest assets? Missing. Those recovered? Corrupted by reprobates who are unfit to care for them.” He bellowed out, as High Commander Dmitri drew back his axe from the floor, his eyes burning down into Ki’Tavi. “Do you really think We have precious little time to waste considering a certain member amongst you ran around the entirety of the Lower half for half a day? Forgive me if my fellow council members and I would like to get home to our families.” He sneered out in response. His hand shook as he went to raise a large gavel made of iron, it’s shape molded into a dragon’s head. “Lest we also forget who just gelded my Guard Master. We have yet to speak in that matter.”

Before he was able to strike it down, and proceed with the trial, muttering erupted on the side of the High Elves, surely sparked by the unruly Bestias flapping his jaws. A younger High Elf woman stood, pulling down her ill fitting robes slightly.

“Grandmaster, please. If I might have the floor?” She asked in a high melodic voice, the Grandmaster waving his hand to let her continue. She looked no older than a teenager, but appearances were deceiving with High Elves frequently.

“Council member Juelle’no has the attention of the floor.” The Grandmaster mattered out, his hand tapping impatiently on the wood in front of him. He seemed nervous almost, flicking his eyes around the room to the various groups in the hall.

“The Bestias does have a point... acting as a whole leaves little room for justice. We must remain unbiased in our decision as to what we do as the High Council. These prisoners deserve trials by their peers. I would hardly expect you to be judged by a group of Orcs or Pixies should you break our laws and traditions.” She squeaked out. It spurred something among the other Council members, whispers fluttering around the room. The Grandmaster turned to his side, even some of his fellow humans were looking upon him with doubt. “We have always allowed those questioned by us to have their stories told fairly to those that represent them. Denying them this right goes against what we stand for as a community.” She continued, nods of agreement from the lower rungs of Council members, acknowledging this truth that the young High Elf spoke.

His face slated with a stoney expression, Grandmaster Ferrington ground his teeth on end. The majority of the council was looking at him for direction. Letting out a terse sigh, he set the gavel down and took his seat; a defeated look flashing across his face. “The Council moves to judge the accused individually by their chosen council representation.”He tapped the gavel down twice and turned his head away. “Appeal to your chosen council... And make it quick.” He grunted out, clearly displeased by this turn of events. Beads of sweat had formed on his brow, furrowed down in frustration and embarrassment.

Qoxo swallowed hard and took a shallow breath, her legs trembling beneath her. Her eyes quickly looked up to the two Wyx councilors seared in the Lowermost level. She didn’t recognize either of them. The first, a dark red skinned Wyx, male from the looks of it, with two large white ram-like horns. He was younger than she’d expect to be sitting up there. He had to be maybe 40? 50 years old? He held a steady gaze down at Qoxo, slightly nudging the other Wyx seated with him. The other was a plump plum colored Elder with small green toned antlers, half asleep in her chair. She jostled awake and looked down as well, black and white eyes fixing curiously on the young Wyx on the floor. She jingled loudly as she shifted in her robes, clapping her hands lightly at the excitement.

Qoxo couldn’t help but sink down further. This was still not ideal in any way. These Wyx could be payed off for all she knew. Her kind did not usually jump at the opportunity to take leadership.

When it came down to Qoxo’s turn to make her appeal, she took two small steps forward, her eyes cast to the ground as the hall became quiet. The two Wyx Council members stood, the younger of the two helping the Elder Wyx woman down the stairs to face Qoxo. Her ears pinned low as they drew within a hair's breadth of her face, starting to examine her familial markings. Qoxo did nothing except hold up the requested body parts up, allowing them to pull up her clothing as needed. It had been a long time since she had been read like this. Only when she was a child did she go through the scrutiny of the Elder’s eyes.

“Qoxo, is it? Long history.” The male commented, his voice was smooth and velvety. “My name is Rotahl. And this is Elder Ooruu.” She nodded softly and shrugged. “Your occupation?” He asked, lifting up the veil of her beaded silver hair to glimpse the back of her neck.

“I brew potions and elixirs and sell them in the markets.” She replied, Rotahl nodding his head.

The plum colored Wyx let out a light laugh, “Well that explains the smell, I was wondering who smelled like truffles and toadstools.” She warbled out. Her wrists jingled as she revealed her center most marking. Both of the Wyx paused and looked at it with surprised eyes. They looked at each other and nodded before continuing their examination. “How did you happen upon the egg in question? We have been told it was of the Shadow element?”

“He fell from the sky above as I was being robbed in the Middle. Crushed one of the men who was pointing his bow on me.” She explained, keeping her eyes trained on the floor. They had seen the mark, there was no doubt about it. But the two continued on, moving down her legs and to her feet. “When it was over, I tried to keep the egg from falling further down the stacks. I was scared, and injured so I fled back to my home.”

Rotahl finished his reading and stood up, now examining Qoxo’s face and mannerisms. The young Wyx has never felt so heavily scrutinized in her life. She tried to angle her body to shift her hood so no one else could glean a look at the gaping dragon’s maw marking inscribed across her chest. “I do not wish to bring more shame to the Wyx...”

“Do not fear shame, Qoxo. We do not take other’s names because we are to learn from their triumphs, their mistakes.” Ooruu said softly, brushing the matted hair from the rattled Wyx’s face, spying the newly healed horn. “A heart of shadow is not one of evil, destiny has much planned for those chosen by dragons. He called to you. What is his name?”

Qoxo seemed to perk up, “M-Malaphaes. He’s so beautiful, but kind of sticky like molasses. We were eating some stew together before my house exploded.”

Rotahl turned to look up at the rest of the council, an accusatory look towards the Grandmaster.

“Try as the Grandmaster might, ‘tis not so easy to separate Chosen Rider from Dragon. Messy, low success rate. Interesting that he believes we would have been successful with ten hatchlings.” Rotahl continued, folding his arms together, he nodded to Ooruu. “Prove yourself young Qoxo.”

“Fly with conviction. Fly with strength.” Ooruu followed with, pressing her two fingers to Qoxo’s forehead. “We Wyx are often content with what is, and do not strive for what could be. Show them.”

Qoxo felt like her stomach was doing flips inside her, she nodded her head quickly; trying to straighten herself up. She would do anything to back to Malaphaes. She looked up to the rest of the Council, who still seemed unsure of the Wyx’s judgement process. She could feel the icy stare of the Grandmaster above, his face beet red with anger.

Ki'Tavi knew he wouldn't get any thing close to justice.

When the axe came crashing down at his feet, he didn't so much as bat an eye. His gaze calmly turned towards the High Commander as he quirked his eyebrow. It only reinforced what Kit already knew, which was that until this trial was over, this asshole couldn't touch them. Still, that didn't stop Kit's ears from laying flat on his head, his tail flicking angrily as the Grandmaster so openly talked down to him, even using words that directly looked down on his race. Judging by the expressions on the faces of the Bestias representatives, they had heard it too, many of their ears were pinned back much like his own.

Worse still, at least to Ki'Tavi, was that this bastard made it a point to mention how he was eager to return home to his family. Must be nice to still have one of those....

Fortuantely, at least for Ki'Tavi, it seemed his words had found some resonance not just with his own people, but with the High Elves who actually had some authority to intervene. He couldn't help but cast a grateful smile her direction. Juelle'no... He would have to repay her kindness when this was over. For now, however, he had to face his peers, and hope that they would find reason to free him, despite his lengthy list of transgressions.

Still unable to stand on his own power, he watched as the Bestias Councilors filed down the stairs when his turn came, each introducing themselves as they sat before him. The first sat directly in front of him. An imposing man with very bull like features, including the ceremonial nose ring. Undoubtedly a member of the Min clan. He easily towered above Ki'Tavi, even when sitting. Despite his impressive stature, Pa'Minos was a wise and gentle giant who elected to wear simple robes rather than flaunt any materialistic wealth.

To his left, a female with the unmistakable white wolfish features prevalent in the Lup clan, Fa'Lupera. She was the youngest of the Bestias representatives, but her white fur made her stand out in stark contrast to her darker furred counterparts. She was one of the more outspoken about the clear favoritism displayed against her people, and it was likely she was one of those murmuring against the Grandmaster's initial plan to just judge them all. She had a aura of confidence about her that seemed almost out of place given her lowly position on the council.

To her left, on the furthest end, a meek little brown rabbit almost cowered behind Fa'Lupera. This was Rin'Usamin, and despite being almost a decade Fa'Lupera's elder, she still lacked the confidence to voice her own opinions out loud, even wearing a rabbit mask so she wouldn't have to show her face. Instead, she would often be seen whispering in Fa'Lupera's ear for the more confident younger woman to speak on her behalf. She was incredibly smart, but equally timid. The former of these traits only really became more common knowledge once Fa'Lupera started voicing the rabbit's ideas for her.

To the Bull's right, a pair of twin cats. Their fur was tan over most of their bodies except their hands and chests, where white shone forth. Their faces and ears, meanwhile, were almost black, giving the impression that the two constantly wore a mask. They both had Heterochromia, one blue eye, and one yellow eye, which was opposite on each of them. Rei'Syami and Mei'Syami. The two twin sisters were peculiar in that they were always seen together, and would often finish each other's sentences.

Perhaps more than any other group, the Bestias representatives were dominated by females. This was, of course, due in large part to the fact that Bestias were Matrilineal. In other words, the family line was traced through the mothers, and the women were often the leaders in most affairs. If anything, the fact that Pa'Minos had made it on the council at all was the irregularity, as often all the Bestias representatives would be female.

"State your name" Pa'Minos spoke, his voice so deep the chamber itself seemed to rumble. His expression was unreadable as five sets of eyes bore into Kit.

"I am Ki'Tavi, son of Vi'Tacree and Sol'Dakku." He spoke, using the full formal introduction of his people, which included the mention of the mother first, followed by the father. Rei and Mei both bowed their heads. "Our sincerest condolences" Rei spoke first, "We heard our dear cousin and his wife passed away many years ago..." Mei concluded. Ki'Tavi nodded to his very distant relatives. "Vi'Tacree died in the Plague, when we could not afford medicine to treat her. Sol'Dakku died not long after" Ki'Tavi informed them. Now, keep in mind these were his extremely distant cousins. They likely didn't even know he existed or that they were related until Kit introduced himself. Most of what they were saying now was cultural formalities.

"The charges against you are numerous...." Pa'Minos spoke again, once more rattling the chamber with the deep rumble of his voice. "You have already stated before this council how you found the egg. Next, please tell us why you ran." Although his voice rattled the chamber and Ki'Tavi's rib cage, there was no animosity in his voice, no rage, no anger, just a subtle calm that somehow put those that heard it at ease.

Ki'Tavi looked among the Council, then gestured over towards the High Commander and the Grandmaster. "Because I predicted this reaction. It looked bad. One of the dragons scorched an entire alley trying to fry me out. Not to mention, you heard how I was addressed. My assertions were classified as mewling. Why would someone like me expect Justice when those words were uttered by the one who sits at the top?"

"The Bestias representatives would like to go on record that we abhor the language used by Grandmaster Ferrington. It was unacceptable for such degrading terms to have been used when presiding over a Council session" Fa'Lupera spoke as the masked Rin'Usamin spoke in her ear. The rabbit paused for a minute before continuing her whispers, that Fa'Lupera dutifully relayed with a practiced calm. "In addition, the intimidation tactics employed by the High Commander, we also find to be out of line. There was no need for such actions to be used to silence a response to charges levied against the accused."

Pa'Minos nodded in agreement, a serene smile on his lips as the twins, too, nodded their agreement. The Bestias representatives often dealt with the short end of the stick in many ways, but they wouldn't just sit idly by against blatant discrimination against one of their own.

"So we have addressed the finding of the egg, and the chase that followed. While we do not condone such actions to be repeated in the future, the circumstances seem to have warranted such a reaction as evidenced by records of this very trial" Pa'Minos concluded.

"There is still the matter of the eunuch GuardMaster..." Fa'Lupera spoke up on her own, looking to Ki'Tavi. "Once you were formally captured, why did you continue to resist?"

"My reasons were two fold. For one, he was trying to forcefully take my dragon from me while I was encased in chains. For the second.... He called me the son of a whore."

Every single one of the Bestias representatives fell deathly silent. The tension around their casual chat suddenly skyrocketed as even Pa'Minos clenched his hulking fists, his otherwise serene expression darkened with uncharacteristic rage. "...Do you have anyone that can vouch for this accusation?" Now, that deep rumble had an edge of anger to it. For you see, Bestias take their name from their mothers, and their entire culture revolved around the concept that the Mother ruled the house. There was little higher insult that to insult the integrity of the head of house. This, of course, was made worse by the fact Ki'Tavi's mother was long deceased...

"I can attest that those words were indeed uttered" A voice from the stands spoke as Cale stood up. "Captain Cale Renton. I was the one that captured Ki'Tavi and brought him in. My subordinates and I brought him and his dragon in without incident and had him secured in a cell. It wasn't until the GuardMaster attempted to take away his dragon and uttered that phrase that Ki'Tavi grew violent. I would also like to add he did not make any attempt to escape or fight me or my subordinates after the fact." He informed the Council before he sat back down.

"Aye, had the boyo tied up tighter than a hangman's noose before that GuardMaster went and demanded the key to try and get his dragon!" Bifur added, standing on the bench so he could actually be seen as standing.

"Really it wasn't necessary, since Ki'Tavi clearly wasn't going anywhere" Oin chimed in.

Pa'Minos nodded. "In light of this evidence, the Council strikes down any charges relating to the GuardMaster's gelding with extreme prejudice. Frankly, he should be lucky to be alive after issuing that kind of insult to a Bestias, as you can issue no greater insult to one of our kind than that." Pa'Minos concluded, drawing nods of agreement from the rest of the Bestias.

"Wh-what's the d-dragon's name?" a tiny voice, barely audible squeaked out. The Bestias council all collectively gasped as Rin'Usamin hesitantly moved her mask to look at Kit rather timidly.

Even Ki'Tavi took a minute to process that the rabbit had spoken before he answered. "Nishati. She's an energy dragon. She's a beauty, incredibly curious about everything. Smart too. She told me she likes to be called Nisha, though"

"She... told you?" Rei and Mei spoke at once interrupting, tilting their heads in opposite directions such that their ear tips almost touched. Even Fa'Lupera's ears perked up when he said that.

"Yeah. I can't really explain it. I hear the same chirps and squeaks as everyone else, but I just... understand it like she's speaking my language" Kit said while scratching his head.

"Where is she now?" Rin'Usamin spoke up, once more shocking the others, as this was the most they'd heard her actually speak in a very long time.

"She said someone was calling her while I was in the cell. She said they sounded nice and went to check it out It sounded like another dragon calling to them by name." Ki'Tavi explained.

Pa'Minos, too, scratched his chin. "Strange... you are charged with corrupting a Dragon and being unfit to care for it, yet you can understand it inherently. That is a bond that couldn't be formed by corruption" Pa'Minos spoke, his rumbling voice once more shaking the chamber walls. "As for his ability to care for the dragon... If he was successfully able to evade Knights and Riders alike for half a day in an effort to protect his dragon, Nishati, I shudder to think what criteria the Grandmaster expects of one who is fit to care for one." Pa'Minos spoke, actually getting some laughs from the audience and a bit of snickering from a certain pair of dwarves.

"Now let's vote on the charges presented" Pa'Minos addressed his companions.

"First, the charges of attacking the caravan and stealing the dragon egg. We have heard his testimony, and have seen no evidence that contradicts it. What say you all?"

"Not Guilty."

"For evading arrest, in light of the overzealous aggression and the demonstrated fear of bias against him, what say you all?"

"Not Guilty" No doubt he had to thank the Grandmaster and the High Commander for that one. Their actions had all but proven that he had reason to fear an unfair trial if he had been captured. The fact that the charges brought against him held no water, likely, didn't help things.

"For gelding the GuardMaster, what say you all?"

"Justified." A unique answer. There was no denying he did it, but given he was provoked, he would not suffer any punishment for it. There wasn't a Bestias alive that wouldn't have thrown hands over an insult like that.

"For corruption of Citadel Assets. What say you all?"

"Not Guilty" Just like every answer before, it was unanimous. All the charges levied against Ki'Tavi had been systematically dropped. Now, Ki'Tavi had talked himself out of a lot of shit in the past, shit he'd actually been guilty of, but this was the first time he had felt such relief wash over him as he was cleared of crimes he didn't commit. He didn't need to look at the Grandmaster to know he was absolutely fucking livid. Of all the accused, it seemed little secret that Ki'Tavi was the one that was the most openly despised by the Grandmaster and the High Commander. Oddly enough, the fact that they were so vehemently against him was likely a large part of why his fellow Bestias voted in his favor.

"It's not every day that a Bestias is chosen as a Rider.... Make us proud, Ki'Tavi..." Pa'Minos spoke. There was a fatherly tone to his voice. Ki'Tavi found himself wanting to make sure he never disappointed this person.

"We might just keep you around to make Rin talk more." Fa'Lupera smirked playfully as the rabbit in question started whispering frantically in her ear.

"She says she wants to marry you" Fa'Lupera said, causing the little rabbit's face to light up a very hot scarlet.

"I did not!!! I said to tell him good luck!!!" She squeaked in protest, frantically waving her arms in front of her.

"Now was that so hard?" Fa'Lupera teased as the two headed back to their seats. Rin was still rubbing her face behind her mask trying to stop herself from blushing even more furiously.

His distant cousins were last to go. "We are sorry we were not able to help when your parents passed." Rei spoke first. "If you ever have need of assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us" Mei finished. The two bowed in unison before returning to their seats.

At least for now, Ki'Tavi was safe from the overzealous High Commander's blade. As the Bestias councilors headed back up to their seats, he felt himself finally release the tension he'd been holding in. Now he could watch and see if his fellow accused were as fortunate as he was.....

Uta still looked at the ground when he heard a familiar voice speak "Utadetul Cayadorees raise your head this instant" the voice boomed, it was a female voice but had the tone of absolute authority. He raised his head and looked at the hooded figure that had spoken to him, they removed their hood revealing a green and blue scaled head it was none other than his aunt Jeeleepa Cayadorees, the highest ranking scalite on the council. Normally one would be glad that they were being judged by a member of ones own family but not Uta, in this instance it was even worse to be judged by them because this was a perfect way to get rid of him as the embarassment of the family.

He stared at his aunt who he hadn't seen in years who now looked at him as of he were the lowest form of life, he opened his mouth to speak but was cut off. "Dont you dare speak until you are given permission Utadetul, you are one word away from me having you dragged out back and beheaded" she says sternly. The other scalite council members merely nodded, all of them were familiar with the family history between Jeeleepa and her nephew and even if they felt sorry for the young scalite none of them would dare speak out against Jeeleepa for fear of being on the recieving end of her wrath. Jeeleepa made her way down to where Uta stood never once taking her eyes off him she stopped when she was but a few inches from his face.

Nothing was said for a few moments she just stared into his eyes almost as if she was looking right into his soul and seeing every bad thing he has ever done, "Aunt jeeleepa ple...." he starts but is cut off when she delivers a hard backhand to his face. He stumbles a bit and almost falls due to the shackles, he returns his gaze to his aunt "I told you not to speak unless given permission" she says back handing him again this time harder than the first. "You are a disgrace not just to the Cayadorees name but to the scalite species as a whole" she says smacking him again, "I pulled a lot of strings to get you out of prison after the last incident, if I had known you would screw up so badly again I would just have left you in there to rot" she continues raising a hand to smack him again.

He readies himself for the hit but it does not come instead she delivers a hard kick to his abdomin causing him to fall to his knees the wind knocked out of him. Jeeleep kneeled down placing a clawed finger under his chin lifting his head so his eyes were level with hers "I could have left you in that dirty cell, but instead I got you out because you were family but I told you I never wanted to see your face again that you were dead to the family, that the consequences for appearing before me again would be severe" she says digging the claw into his scaled chin. "I thought perhaps you understood but yet here you are again in front of me being accused of stealing a dragons egg, once again making me look a fool" she continues saying the last part with gritted teeth. He begins to open his mouth to say something to defend himself but he does not get a chance before his aunt delivers a headbutt that could stun a dragon, he falls back dazed and in pain but still saying nothing.

Jeeleepa stands up motioning for two other scalite members to come over "pick him up now I want him standing" she commands, two members hurry down each taking an arm and lifting Uta to his feet, he was still dazed and was seeing stars from the headbutt. "So let's get on with the list of charges that you have against you shall we? Attacking a supply run, stealing a dragons egg, assaulting knights, maiming knights, resisting arrest, the list goes on and on and not to mention the extra curricular jobs I know you partake in" she says clenching her fist. "You never learn you stupid stupid boy!" She yells launching fist into the spot she had kicked moments before causing his to crumple in the grasp of the two council members, "HOLD HIM UP!!" she shouts at the two.

She grabbed his face again squeezing it hard between her claws causing drops of blood to start trickling out "I can do whatever I want to you and no one here will lift a finger to stop me, and its not just because you are a criminal no its because you are a scalite and considered a lower life form compared to the other races here" she says sternly gesturing around the room. "You undermine every effort we have made to establish ourselves as more than just simple minded dock workers, your very existence is a stain on our family after everything you have done" she continues digging her claws in deeper drawing more blood. "I should just gut you here and now and save everyone the trouble, but unfortunately I cannot as current circumstances prevent me from doing so" she says releasing his face from her grasp, she takes out a handkerchief from her robe and wipes the blood off her fingers.

"I do not care what you have to say for yourself about your actions as it does not matter what your excuse is, the main thing is You are lucky that dragon hatched and bonded to you Utadetul because that is the only reason I'm allowing you to keep your life right now" she says turning to walk away. "But understand this, the disgrace you have brought upon this family once again will be punished it may not be today but you will be punished for your actions one day nephew but until then we will allow you to leave here still alive" she finishes turning around to face him again, "now you may speak but it better only be to thank me for my kindness" she adds. Uta coughed feeling the many bruised and possibly broken ribs he had from her blows earlier, the blood dripping down his face from his aunts claws, " tha...thank you Aunt Jeeleepa for your kindness" he manages to get out before coughing again, his aunt smiles and evil smile before rearing back and delivering one final powerful kick to his chest that sent him stumbling backwards before falling to the floor.

"Leave the filth on the floor. It's where he belongs" she says motioning for the other two council members to follow her back to their seats, Uta laid on the floor coughing this punishment was him getting off easy his aunt was a vicious woman and just as she said could have gutted him right then and there. A couple guards lifted him back up to a standing position as his aunt and the two other scalites took their seats. He was in a lot of pain but the only thing he could think about now was seeing Honarri again.
