Howdy, howdy! I'm Red, a flaming gay who likes long posts, LGBTQ+ romances that reek of chaos and disasters, and long walks on the beach. I'm returning to the RP scene after a year hiatus with plenty of new ideas; I play a very well rounded cast, which includes a plethora of diversity in ethnicity, genders, orientations, personalities and even disabilities. Basically, I've got a character for just about every scenario you could think of. My forte is regular modern and high fantasy, though I would consider dystopian and cyberpunk settings in the case of an interesting idea. I also dig having romance in my RPs, but sometimes, platonic works just okay too!

Let's keep this simple: I'll divide this into three sections for ease of reading! For length reasons, post examples are available by request. You can message me if you want one.

• x I am a novella writer who rarely goes below 1000 words, and often times far more. I describe my style as a bastard child between Tolkien and Lovecraft, with bad humor and ~fun~ introspection thrown in there. If you don't like long winded posts, or you aren't a big fan of character development through writing, we may not be compatible!
  x I am a college student. This means I'm busy throughout the week - expect a post about twice a week.
  x I put a lot of value into OOC communication. I don't like treating RP like it's a business transaction; if we're writing, I want to be your friend! Please, never feel like you're bothering me if you message me for chit-chat. I love talking to my partners, even if it's not about our RP.
  x I'm an artist! I draw all my own characters, and like drawing my partner's, as well. Chances are, if you and I hit it off well, I'll probably shower you with art. This includes very shitty memes. I mean it.
  x I am ghost friendly. If you want to stop but are too anxious to tell me, I won't be offended if you need to just go.
  x I have no problem giving you my discord.
• x Equal effort posts; I'm no stickler for post lengths, but I will be miffed if I give you a post I spent hours on and you give me something that took twenty minutes.
  x LGBTQ+ characters! I will do any gender with any pairing, unless otherwise specified with a character. I have a soft spot for FxF gigs, just because it's a representation you don't see often. Hetero ships are fine too.
  x A diverse story with ups and downs, gritty darkness and fluffy moments. Let's build an interesting world together. The more in depth, the better!

  x One-sided development. Please don't make me lead the entire plot, or develop every single character and lore bit by myself.

• Hey, Kid. You like chaos? You like beefy, gay women? You like absolute morons who make you question how they've made it through life for this long?
  
  Venus is a 20 year old, punk ass delinquent who has been stuck in a constant loop of trouble, jail, and crime for the past few years. With a mouth that would make your mother cry, she's a reckless jerk who finds joy out of tormenting other poor souls and wreaking havoc everywhere she goes. What's that, old lady? You've fallen and you can't get up? Sorry, guess you'll have to call Life Alert; but hey, check out that loaded wallet you're carrying! The brat's fallen into bad terms with a particularly vicious crime group in recent times, earning herself a mighty debt that she can't possibly hope to fix by herself - and worst of all, the only way to keep her own ass safe is by doing the increasingly morally questionable orders of those above her. While she's an asshole herself, she still has her boundaries, and the thought of putting a gun to someone's head makes her nauseatingly sick the more she thinks about it.
  
  Wait a minute. Is she watching that one dog movie? Who's going to tell her that - oh dear. She seems to be crying. Not because she's actually a softie, or anything like that. What do you think she is, a little bitch?

• Listen, lady. This isn't Blade Runner. Dump the floor length coat and the super secret shit.
  
  Four is a 29 year old "intelligence acquisition expert." Nobody is really sure what that job title means, just that she's involved in some particularly shady gigs - and has a way of getting what she needs out of people. Following a family feud turned disaster with a Yakuza clan in her home country, Japan, Four left for America in her early twenties. Her 'special talents' landed her in good with those who work behind the scenes, and she was quick to find herself involved in some questionable government business that may or may not involve war crimes. What do you mean there's regulations for interrogation? As equally skilled in undercover operations as she is 'brutal acquiring of intel,' she's managed to work herself in deep with the neighboring crime groups, operating through practices that many might not consider legal or ethical. It sure would be a shame if all this came back to bite her in the ass. Consequences? Responsibility? Bitch, who?
  
  As far as she's concerned, the only immediate threat to her life is you interrupting tea time. Manners, you uncouth pig.
• There sure are a lot of ways to disappoint your parents. Abandoning a generational tradition is probably one of them.
  
  Rodriguez is a 27 year old, ex-cartel member who has left behind his family's violent ways in favor of a more legal lifestyle with the law enforcement field. After being exposed to the rampant violence and abhorrent crimes that entail the work of his family's name, he decided from a young age that he wanted to break the cycle - problem is, leaving the cartel that your father runs is a lot harder than you might think. Sure, he can hide all of his tattoos and slap that shiny badge on his chest, but how long can he hide the sins of his past? It's only a matter of time before the people around him find out the truth, and when that happens, everything he's worked so hard for is bound to come crashing down all around him. A tough exterior and an even tougher demeanor can only do so much when the world's out to get you.
  
  It doesn't help that he has a soft heart. When it comes to caring for and protecting those around him, he can't help but to put their well-being ahead of his own, and even the idea of a friend or family member getting hurt is almost too much to bear. God help anyone who comes near Mr. Wiggles.

• Valentina, honey, Tuesdays are not the day for getting shitfaced and starting strip club brawls.
  
  Valentina is a 23 year old fashion extraordinaire, radio show host, and certified shady bitch. With an attitude louder than life and an explosive personality, the lady's got a hell of a kick to her - she's not afraid to speak her mind, or insult your poor fashion choices, or tear into you for even so much as looking at her in the wrong way. As a clever woman behind an expansive underground information exchange, she has the dirt on just about everyone and everything that you could even possibly think of. People have a way of letting things slip when they're searching for the dress that fits just right, calling in to a late night radio show to vent about the latest drama, or even when they're plastered at a bar run by her girls. Of course, she's made plenty of enemies, and she's not exactly popular with the people who have blackmail held over their heads. Good thing she's loyal, right? Right?
  
  And sugar, if you think you're walking out the door wearing that ugly ass cardigan with them bootleg highwaters, you've got a whole 'nother thing coming.
• "You see, I am a very simple woman. I like beer, long walks on the beach, relaxing bubble baths, and killing people in their sleep."
  
  Noir is a 34 year old, very disgruntled alcoholic who barely knows where she is half the time. Some people say she's one of the best assassins in the realms, but who cares about reputation when you can have a pint of ale instead? She's not one for pleasantries, and she prefers to get to know someone by sinking her dagger into their eye socket while she kicks back a cold one. It's not like she has anything to worry about - what, why would there ever be any reason for a hefty bounty on her decapitated head? Noir is practically the nicest person she knows, which is an easy feat because most of the people she knows are dead or on their way to becoming dead. Don't you get that it's hard work, and nobody appreciates what she does? The drunken outbursts definitely aren't her fault, and she can't be blamed for the horrific messes she leaves in her wake. That guy deserved getting poisoned; he kept staring at her chest, and even though she does have a very nice set, she still doesn't approve of that behavior.
  
  Now, if only she could remember why everyone wants her dead...is it because she's that charming? No, it's totally because she's so charismatic, the king is afraid she'll steal his crown through a silver tongue.

  High Inquisitor of the Argent Hand, Josvin stands as a fearless paladin in the never ending pursuit of justice. A former slave turned to the way of the light, they have taken on the Oath of Vengeance under the ideals that the wicked must be smitten from the earth; following the guidance of the Holy Mother, they now roam the lands with their founded Order to both seek out potential followers and to purge whatever evildoers that may lie in wait. In the face of vengeance that burns brighter than a thousand suns, no heretic shall be spared.
  
  Stoic in both body and mind, the noble knight holds a relentless passion that outshines any other to have come before them—their devotion stands yet unmatched, and such faith is not rewarded lightly. Though those that would go against them would swiftly meet the full force of the strength gifted to them by their loyalty to the Gods, those who find themselves in their favor shall surely see great benefit. Josvin is perhaps one of the most trustworthy companions to have at one's side, and their fidelity knows no bounds; when a time of great need comes, they will always be found close by with a stalwart readiness. They may be many things; mentor, guardian, ally, or even cruel foe.
• Sonya is, perhaps, just a little bit different than most people. Born with complete congenital hearing loss, she's entirely deaf and communicates through ASL and the occasional lip reading.
  
  Not only is that hard enough in itself, but she just can't seem to find work anywhere except the shadiest part of an already shitty city! She gets by with various, questionable odd jobs, scraping up what little she can to pay the bills and keep the lights on. Life's rough; there always seems to be trouble lurking right around the corner, and it doesn't exactly help that there's been word of a crime group settling into the area. At least it's not like the bar she's employed at is a front or anything, right? There's no possible way she could get roped into a hot mess, just by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. That sure would be a mess, and it'd definitely interfere with her nightly knitting sessions.
  
  Initially presenting as reclusive and shy, Sonya has always been one to be afraid of venturing outside of her comfort zone. More often than not, her deafness severely impedes her ability to interact with others, as those who understand sign language are few and far between—and the embarrassment of trying to communicate with someone who doesn't is too much for her to be outgoing. She easily becomes defeated and somber when things don't go her way, although she quickly bounces back to her usual self given some time. Around those she is comfortable with, Sonya's demeanor takes a complete change. Bouncy, giddy, and perhaps a touch too excitable, she throws her gestures with vigor to the point where her words are almost indecipherable. Due to her past, she can also be clingy and overbearing, tagging along like a lovesick puppy; as annoying as that may be, her dedication and loyalty are unshakable. Irrefutably gullible, but not naive.
