Azathor grunted aloud as the axe connected with his shoulder, which was signal for Azathor to roll with the blow and slink away to get enough distance between him and the axe wielder as he rolled backwards and holstered his pistols. He drew his blade, its tip jutting into the ground from the force of its unsheathing before he charged forward for an upwards strike at the demon axe-man.

With a fresh shell in the chamber, Sebastian quickly turned and took cover behind one of the large beams holding up the second and third floors of the sawmill. After witnessing the gun's destructive power, he wanted to be sure not to shoot any of his comrades by accident, especially those who wouldn't supernaturally heal from the wound. With a check over his shoulder, he spotted two on the second floor, but it was the two currently facing off against Camille and Rajko which he felt needed to be addressed first. He swung around, leveling his barrel on the foe with the crossbow, and pulled the trigger.

Sensing the demon in the adjacent building falling downward, and noting Claire rushing towards their location, Xiaòzhou began moving behind the others going into the mill. As he approached the mill, he noted how many they were facing inside - including the aura of a human. For a brief moment, the thought of heading up directly to it emerged, given he could just fly up, but the two demons he sensed may be too much for him alone to deal. Knowing how the tide can swiftly turn against them, and not wanting to burden St. Rebecca, he continued into the mill with the others.

Making his way in, the hermit took quick note of the situation. Cassandra was most hurt right now, but he needn't worry about her too much; instead, he took notice of the demon aiming for Sebastian. He quickly drew out one of his talisman-like cards, 'Talisman ~ Converging Shot', and aimed to fire at the would-be shooter.

Rajko's lips curled in pain as the arrow piercing his thigh, he did not moving though. With the butt of his Nagant revolver, he snapped off the arrow shaft so a pissant demon doesn't get clever and try to yank it out of the spot. He hopped then slid across a nearby table, knocking off articles of whatever the workers or demons were doing before Rajko and Camille burst onto the scene. He took aim then fired!

The demonic enemy that Camille had set her sights on was given a vicious slash from a coordinated strike from her sabers, and she deftly sidestepped their retaliating shot from the firearm they wielded. She grit her teeth as she recognized the danger the gun could provide in close quarters, yet chose to double down and focus on her technique and instincts. This time she did not have to rush across the room to meet them, and thus she took an advancing step forward with lateral slashes of her swords to command the space of her duel. The sounds of gunfire in such an enclosed space were horribly distracting, yet Camille found them more encouraging when they sounded from behind her rather than in front of her.

The group would continue their attacks, determined to put these demons down. Royland, using his chains in an act of revenge for being shot, decided to bring his foe a little closer. He slung the chain out, the end shifting to sort of a spearhead mid-flight, which stabbed into his attacker's chest on the second floor. Once embedded enough, he wrapped the chain around his arm quickly and gave it a strong, sharp jerk. The demon went sailing off the second floor, ripped from his position with immense force, and was sent crashing down to the first floor. Right at Royland's feet. He managed to keep hold of his rifle, and fired up a reflexive shot at Royland when he rolled over. Which simply grazed the knight's shoulder.

Azathor's upward slice with his sword actually sliced the demon's weapon in half. Rendering the axe into a hatchet of sorts. The blade also caught the demon across the chest, carving a deep gash into his torso which began to bleed quite badly. In retaliation, the demon rushed forwards and delivered a forceful kick that sent Azathor stumbling backwards. Right into a waiting and still running saw. The circular blade caught Azathor's back, cleaving through his flesh and sending blood spurting into the air. Azathor let out an agonizing cry, before managing to free himself from the blade. His back now bleeding profusely, a nasty wound made of shredded skin and muscle exposed through his clothes, he'd need immediate attention if he were to survive this ordeal.

Sebastian, after seeking out one of the beams to use as cover, decided to target the crossbow wielding foe that Rajko was currently tangling with. He snapped out of cover, leveling his shotgun at the demon, and squeezed the trigger just as the demon finished reloading his own weapon. The buckshot darted through the air, catching the demon across the arm and forcing him to nearly spin completely about. It wouldn't be enough to put him down, and apparently not enough to stop him from shooting back. The crossbow came up and released, sending a bolt flying in Sebastian's direction. Thanks to Sebastian's reflexes, however, the bolt went sailing by as he slipped back behind the beam. Safe and sound. Rajko, after slipping over a nearby table in a rush, also attempted to shoot at the crossbow wielding demon, but narrowly missed as Sebastian forced the demon into a spin.

Xiaòzhou, after having helped Claire deal with her attacker outside, had rushed in to find the group already in the midst of fighting. Taking note that one demon upstairs had attempted to fire at Sebastian only to suffer a weapon's jam, Xiaòzhou decided to take advantage of the situation. Using one of his cards, he unleashed a shot at the demon which collided with his arm and nearly knocked the weapon from his hands. Angered by the intervention, the demon cleared his jam and fired a shot back at Xiaòzhou (which thankfully missed.)

Camille, determined to put the revolver toting demon down, rushed him once more and delivered vicious lateral slices to dominate the close quarters battle. They carved through the demon's flesh, just as he squeezed off another revolver shot which hit Camille in the hip. Meanwhile, Rebecca narrowly dodged yet another sledgehammer swing from the foe she was tangling with, only to notice Cassandra being shot from two different directions. In an effort to assist, she briefly spoke a spell in that odd, ancient tongue. And soon enough, Cassandra's wounds began to rapidly heal. Cassandra, however, failed to notice. She was too busy determining how to deal with one of her shooters.

In a flash of insane speed and acrobatics, she darted with towards the conveyor belt in the middle of the room. A hop followed, and as soon as her foot met the belt, she propelled herself up to the second floor. Directly towards her second shooter. A flip in the air moved her legs before her, which connected with the demon's chest and sent him sailing backwards into the wall behind him. The first shooter, stunned by the display briefly, spun his weapon around and fired. Only to miss. However, the demon she had kicked lifted his rifle up and fired off a shot which grazed her neck.

Outside in the other structure, Claire managed to exact revenge on the demon that had shot her. As he frantically attempted to reload his sharps rifle, Claire decided to stop him. One quick swing of her cutlass sliced a gaping hole through the demon's throat, blood spurting out across his chest and the floor next to him. As he grasped at his throat, attempting to stop the bleeding and failing to do so, Claire simply looked on. An annoyed look on her face. And as soon as the life faded from him, she flicked the blood from her blade and quickly picked the bits of silver from her wound. Thankfully the velocity of the shot hadn't left many pieces inside. Vampires being softer, thinner targets than werebeasts, there was a higher chance of bullets simply zipping through the body and not shattering. As soon as she saw the wound rapidly closing as it should, she spun about and moved back towards the central structure. Determined to rejoin the others in combat.

His strike had suceeded in not just wounding his target, but also in limiting the axe that the demon wielded! With a few splinters flying outwards from the impact, the axe was rendered into an on-the-spot hatchet, yet Azathor's success did not last long as his swing had left him open to a counterattack. A solid kick caused him to momentarily lose his footing and careen with his back into one of the saws. The demon prince cried out in pain as, although it would not kill him, it did hurt him through his vessel quite significantly. He didn't want to lose this vessel, and as the thought of it coming to an undignified end like this filled his mind he gritted his teeth and quickly peeled himself away and stumbled forward again.

His usual calm and collected demeanor faded as rage entered his purview, and Azathor eyed his target directly with vicious intent. He bared his sword, this time lunging with a horizontal strike accompanied by a loud battle cry directed straight towards the demon's head.

Xiaòzhou gave the demon he was fighting a cheeky smile, as he noted that Azathor had gotten hurt... or at least his vessel had, which was concerning at the very least. Sebastian managing to dodge a shot from a different direction did make him glad however. Meanwhile, given his own opponent had missed their shot just now, they're likely still angry enough to want to attack him again.

Moving to the side in an attempt to make it harder to be shot at, the hermit aimed towards Azathor to heal him as best as he could with one hand, while with the other he continued to his 'Converging Shot' assault at the demon he was dealing with.

Royland's chain would retract around his arm after its job was done. He chose to ignore the pain from the shot for now as he prepared to charge the demon. The lumber mill had many tool still around, including the still functioning saw still operating and waiting for another log to come through. Picking up speed, Royland aimed his shoulder to collide and pick up the demon for a ride towards the saw.

Camille gave a grunt of pain when the demon had shot a round into her hip, her footing going slack as she grit her teeth and adjusted to the pain. Being shot in such a way caused her face to contort with rising ire, her assault only getting more aggressive as she lunged back into the fray. Yet in a quick moment of clarity, her eye spied something buzzing away loudly in the background. "I'll make you regret that, vous créature immonde!" she roared, performing a few feints with her blades to get them to back away from her. In that precise moment, the huntress would transition to a swift kick to the demon's midsection - aiming to send them into the whirring saw blade behind them!

Rajko's second shot shuttered sideways since sliding the stand table didn't support such daring feats of precision. The teeth-clenching pain from the barbed arrowhead maligned Rajko no more, the deadening of pain spread as adrenaline aggressively asserted itself in Rajko's bloodstream. A bloodstream which also lead into the thin air as Rajko would later find out; the blood trickling down the wound, staining the trouser leg of his inquisitorial uniform. Camille's inspiriting roar enabled Rajko to join in with his Dragoon shashka. The edges of his shirt pulled back from the force of Rajko's body rushing forward. Readying his sword arm to execute an ordinal slash at the closest infernal fiend. "Mor-faigh" He yowled with the power of his lungs in an Atracan accent.

Sebastian pumped the shotgun again and took stock of his surroundings. Azathor had been nearly bisected by one of the powered buzz saws and was bleeding profusely, yet he would not only likely survive, he was currently charging back at the same foe who had almost killed him. Cassandra was darting up to the second floor with impossible grace; if she were his enemy, he doubted his own bullets would be fast enough to catch her. Royland had somehow hooked a man from the second floor and ripped him from his post using his chains, which was an incredible display. And then there was Sebastian, clutching his weapon with his back to the support beam, telling himself that he belonged among them.

Aside from Takato, who had thrown something Sebastian couldn't quite recognize in all the chaos currently unfolding around him, everyone was now engaging their opponents in a melee. Rebecca, however, was preoccupied with trying to heal someone with her divine magic, which was being made more difficult by a sledgehammer-wielding demon taking wild swings at her. Sebastian decided to leave his earlier target to Rajko, who clearly wanted his revenge, and instead made a hasty approach across the workplace toward the hammer-wielding fiend. He fired several shots in a row using a marching fire technique, hoping to cut his foe down without having to enter the radius of his swing.

The fighting continued, as Claire arrived to join into the melee. Azathor, while being healed by Xiaòzhou from afar, rushed in and swung at his foe with intense fury. And his his swing would land, cleaving the demon's head from their shoulders. Their head rolled off with little resistance, as their body dropped only a second afterwards. Another demon down. As he finished his healing of Azathor, Xiaòzhou returned his attention to his own attacker. And with a slightly more powerful (and far more accurate) shot, Xiaòzhou would deliver the punch needed to put the demon shooter down. The blast hit the demon squarely in the chest, knocking him permanently to the floor.

Royland, seeing a chance to potentially end his brawl with one of the ground shooters, decided to use his shoulder as a battering ram against the demon he had been fighting. His shoulder plowed into the demon's chest, carrying him a few feet and tossing him off as he abruptly stopped. The demon went sailing into the powered saw, which mauled them just as it had Azathor moments before. Screams of agony and pain filled the air, as the demon struggled to get free. At the same time, it reflexively pulled the trigger on its weapon. Firing its shot into the wall nearby. Eventually, it would free itself, bleeding profusely from its gaping wounds. Camille would do something similar to her own foe, swiftly kicking the demon into the other saw. More screams, but this demon would fail to free itself. And would be carved up by the saw until it grew silent. Half of the bisected corpse of the demon would be carried off down the conveyor system while the other half dropped to the floor beneath the saw.

Rajko would rush his foe once more, sounding off as he swung his sword at the demon. And it would connect, the quick slash carving a gash across the demon's stomach. Another slash would soon follow, however, from the demon's flank. Claire had rushed over with vampiric speed, arcing her cutlass down at an angle and slicing through the demon's back. The demon would react by spinning about and firing its crossbow bolt into Claire's left arm. She gritted her teeth, a look of anger appearing in her eyes briefly.

Sebastian, nearby, would soon turn his attention to the sledgehammer wielding demon whom was attacking Rebecca. And slam-firing a few shells from his shotgun, he peppered the demon with buckshot as he marched towards them. Rebecca, using her shield to defend herself from the incoming buckshot pellets, would drive her sword through the side of the demon in an effort to deliver a strike from the flank as its attention was drawn elsewhere. The demon, reacting to the larger threat of a shotgun incoming, decided to make the mistake of actually rushing the shotgun wielder with his sledgehammer. Big mistake. As he swung downward, he missed Sebastian entirely. And Sebastian was ready to counter. Loading his shotgun's final shell into the chamber, he simply placed the barrel of the shotgun against the side of the demon's head and pulled the trigger. The demon's head evaporated in a flash of blood, brain, fire, and buckshot before the body collapsed to the floor. The ground next to it smeared in what all formerly consisted of its head.

Cassandra, on the second floor, continued her assault on the demon she had kicked when she arrived. But it wouldn't be all that long of an assault. She grabbed the demon by the arm as he stood and rushed her, before swinging him over her back and off the second floor. Right onto the waiting powered saw below. And in a gory spectacle, the demon was ripped in half and sent down the conveyor system just as Camille's victim had. Cassandra actually laughed aloud at the sight, her eyes blood red as the smell of blood hit her nostrils. But her laughing was cut short, as she was shot again through the arm. She cut the demon whom had shot her an annoyed look, as he frantically attempted to reload his weapon to fire again.

Azathor felt himself renewed thanks to the monk, and from that his blade rang in the air as it gave a clean cut across the demon's neck to decapitate it completely. Azathor took the moment to observe as the head as it fell off and rolled a small distance as the body collapsed lifelessly to the floor, satisfied with his attack. He turned his attention to the few remaining enemies in their vicinity. He eyed the demon closest to him and sheathed his sword, as he didn't want to get in the way of the others, and instead pulled out one of his pistols and aimed. He closed one eye and looked down the irons with the other, steadying himself with a deep breath and let out a shot.

"Stay down!" Royland barked at the demon as he kicked the wretch back into the saw blades. The thing's refusal to die was getting on his nerves.

Rajko knew that the demon had not perished like the vermin that is parodying. He moves with his feet and blade out, charging it so that he may gorge it on his blade's thin silver.

Blood spattered across Sebastian's eyes as he stumbled away from the grotesque display he had made of the enemy demon. He wiped his face against his sleeve as he accidentally bumped into Rebecca. "Ugh... Es tut mir Leid..." he stammered, pulling out his pistol. He searched around the room for another foe to shoot at, but his hand visibly trembled as he did so. Just a little more, he assured himself.

Xiaòzhou quickly took note of the situation - Azathor had recovered, he had defeated his opponent, and Sebastian had managed to rather smoothly defeat, if gorily, his. Cassandra had gotten hurt once more, but they were all in fine shape, with only a few enemies to go, one of whom was upstairs. They were nearly ready to head up.

To get a headstart, the hermit floated up to the second floor where Cassandra and her opponent were. He maintained his usage of 'Converging Shot', firing at the demon that had just shot at Cassandra.

Camille was blank-faced as the saw gruesomely bisected her opponent, not one to openly celebrate the death of another even if they were demonically possessed. Twisting on her heel, she checked her surroundings to see if her blades could be lent to any other ally still caught in a melee. Giving her sabers a twirl to work out any stiffness in her wrists, she rushed into the fray and began to rapidly slash at any enemy that was still standing.

Azathor's aim was true, as he squeezed the trigger of his Colt and fired off a shot at the demon that Claire and Rajko were tangling with. The bullet hit the demon squarely in the center of his chest, dropping him almost on the spot. Surprising, really. Meanwhile, Royland attempted to kick his foe into the saw once more, but the demon reacted by simply sidestepping to avoid the kick. Royland stepped by, stumbling almost, but Rajko and Sebastian would strike to prevent the demon from taking revenge on the knight. Rajko vaulted over the conveyor system, past the saws, and delivered a horizontal slice which cut through the demon's chest. And as the demon stumbled back from the attack, Sebastian took aim and fired off a shot from his pistol. The bullet connected, right through the heart. The demon fell backwards, landing on the wooden floor with a thud.

Now all that was left was the demon upstairs, whom was reloading its weapon to fire upon Cassandra once more. Xiaòzhou would attack first, casting another of his magical shots at the demon and grazing his shoulder. It would distract him long enough to allow for Camille to close the gap from the ground floor to the second. Claire grabbed the hunter's attention, squatting a little and holding both hands out before her. She was offering to toss her up. Camille took note, before rushing over and planting a foot squarely in Claire's palms. A moment later, Claire launched the huntress into the air, straight up to the second floor and directly towards the demon as he fumbled with his rifle and ammunition.

Camille's blades struck true, cutting a gash across the demon's torso. He nearly dropped his rifle as he yelped in pain, and did drop some of his ammo. But he wasn't done yet, managing to secure a round in his rifle before closing it. Rebecca, still downstairs, took a moment to cast a healing spell once more on Cassandra. As her wounds closed, Cassandra decided to end things in her own way (mainly out of selfishness. She had to prevent Camille from taking her kill and halting her chance at vengeance on the demon for shooting her.)

Cassandra vanished yet again, her insane speed causing her form to simply blur and fade from existence for a moment. The demon noticed, his expression shifting to one of complete shock. But soon, he wouldn't have much of an expression at all. Cassandra reappeared once more, directly next to him. The blade of her weapon held behind her, as if she had just made a downward slice. And not even a second later, half the demon's head would simply slide off. Its body fell afterwards, collapsing in a heap.

After the last demon had fallen dead, there was no sound aside from the whirring of saw blades and the gurgle of blood from open wounds, forming streams that sought lower ground and gaps in the floorboards. Sebastian stood still, his pistol still hovering where he had last aimed it, before he finally allowed it to sag limply to his side. He turned, aimlessly, as if looking for some dark corner of the room away from the disgusting mess they had just created, before doubling over and vomiting.

Xiaòzhou observed the scene, in all of its messiness. The area was littered with bodies and blood, but they themselves appeared to be fine... for the most part. The hermit noticed Sebastian just turning around and vomiting at the sight of it all. With a frown, he approached the man and rubbed him on the back with his right hand, as if assuring him that it was fine to react this way, while also taking the opportunity to try and restore the slightest of balance to his qi - he really should have asked Shi Jing about traditional medical techniques when he was still training under her.

The demon fell over dead from the shots by both Rajko and Sebastian. Royland glanced to the cur and then looked to both men, giving them an appreciative nod as a token of his gratitude. While he would have preferred to have slain the thing himself, showing anything but thanks would be of poor form. Not to mention that there would surely be more demons ahead.

"We should look around to make sure there aren't any stragglers hidden somewhere. Jayden may very well still be in danger." His attention was drawn to Sebastian as the soldier was now emptying his stomach. "You'll get used to it. The smell of their rot is about the least of their disgusting features."

Azathor watched the demon crumple from his well-placed shot, the barrel of his pistol still letting off smoke, before giving it a few fast twirls and sliding it back into its holster on his backside. Given his inexperience with firearms, he surprised himself by being able to land the shot like that and thus was satisfied with having ended the fight a little faster in such a manner. He took a quick glance around and saw the fruits of the labor, as well as Sebaastian vomiting, before sighing. "I can't help but wonder, were they trying to delay us?" the demon mused aloud, "Clearly they were outclassed..."

Camille flicked the blood off of her blades as best she could manage, yet she was not quite ready to sheathe them when there were still so many unknowns at play. Something told her that this was far from over. Cassandra working her unnatural speed to such degrees of intensity did get her to make a face at the pureblood. Was she trying to prove something to her? Camille neglected to comment, and instead she glanced down to her bullet wound and gave a slight wince. The adrenaline from the battle leaving her meant that the throbbing pain was registering more fiercely than before. It would pass, however. It always did.

The huntress gives a glance to Sebastian as he vomits from the scene, and in her attempts to look at anything else she stared at the bisected corpse of the demon she kicked into the sawblade. It made her stomach turn, yet she was desensitized to such grizzly ends by now. "You were so composed at the warzone my estate had become, yet at that time I was moments from a panic attack. I suppose we all have our limits, especially in these circumstances," Camille says to Sebastian. The woman did not mean it as a slight, and if Takato were not already there to aid him she would likely be beside the soldier to offer some help.
