Opal winked at him jokingly. "Yeah, we'll see Cory." Opal flew to another side of the field, idling as she waited for the news on what was to happen to Lysander. If it wasn't a serious injury, the ref could probably fix it right then and there, but if not...
Lysander landed when the whistle blew and soon felt his sister at his side. "I'm fine. Honestly. I can keep playing until we finish the match."
A loud resonating TWAP could be heard as Lorcan slapped her brother upside the head. "Look at your arm idiot. DOn't even try to lie. You need the medical wing."

Mortimer saw the commotion down on the pitch. "Is it really that bad?"
Alissa sighs softly. "I don't know... We'll have to assume so..." She said while watching.

Lysander ended up being sent to the medical wing to get his arm checked out. The bones had been broken more than they thought, but nothing and hour or two in the hands of the head nurse couldn't fix. He was lead by one of the teachers, who was only accompanying him to make sure he made it. He let out a long sigh as they trudged up the steps, feeling more than anything as though he had let his team down.

"That is unfortunate." Said Mortimer in a soft tone.

Cerys quickly grabbed her book as she and the other students were led out to watch the Quidditch match. An excited smile was on her face as she found a seat, placing her book protectively in her lap. As the game went on, her eyes followed the players eagerly, her leg bouncing nervously when she saw Lysander get hit in the shoulder with a bludger and letting out a groan when Slytherin scored a goal. Come on Ravenclaws. You can do this! she thought as the team landed for a time-out.

Clarissa winced as Lysander, one of the Ravenclaw chasers, was given a nice beating from one of the bludgers. Since the ref wasn't going to simply fix it and let the match go on, it seemed pretty serious. Then again, it was nothing that magic couldn't fix in a few hours. She paused mid-air, next to one of the Ravenclaw players, their seeker. "What a shame." Clarissa smirked slightly. Lysander was one of Ravenclaw's most proficient Quidditch players. "Looks like we've won this match."

Thankfully the Ravenclaws did have a replacement player who was pretty decent, but no Lysander. Lysander was their best Chasers, but they still had Flossie and Garret.

"Shame, the game must go on." Opal replied cooly, not letting Clarissa distract her.

Lorcan made a signal to Opal letting her know they were all ready to return to the air. She had been conversing with a few of the other team members and they had all agreed that there was nothing they could do other than play. If they won or lost they'd still visit him in the hospital wing after the match.

"Just be glad it's Hogwarts we're at and not some subpar muggle school." Clarissa snickered. "He would've had to wear a ridiculous cast for who knows how long with that type of injury. I don't know if you heard the sound his bones made, but I did, and it sounded bad." She flew away from Opal and back into position as the game got back onto track.

Piers made his way to the quidditch pitch, after fixing some problems with scared first-years. He stood amongst the Gryffindor students as the commotion rose and the game was put back into action.

Cerys's shoulders fell slightly as she watched Lysander get led off the field. He was being replaced by another player, but she wasn't sure how well this other player was. She was still sure that Ravenclaw would win, though. Her dad had told her it was bad luck to lose hope in your team so she wasn't planing on to. There were still plenty of excellent players on the team.

Alexander watching the game, grinning as he sits back.

Scorpius flying on his broom, keeping an eye out for the snitch. Rebecca and Cassiopeia flying around as well, Cassiopeia manages to steal the quaffle from the Ravenclaw Chaser.

The ref blew the whistle and the game started back up. The new Ravenclaw chaser was quick to snatch the quaffle from Cassia, making a quick —yet risky— journey to the Slytherin goals and making a shot directly into the center goal.

"Ravenclaw is not backing down without a fight after having their star Chaser put out of the game by a terrible Bludger hit!" Clemmence announced amping up the excitement of the crowd with his commentary on the game.

When the quaffle came back around to Lorcan she batted it back with the tail of her broom and sent it back into the center field. "Come on her the snitch already. We can have this in the bag if you catch the snitch."

It was if the Snitch was just waiting for someone to say something about it, because as soon as Lorcan made that comment the Snitch appeared in front of Opal, and she was making a furious dash after it.

"And Lorcan hits the- What's this!?!? It looks like Opal has spotted the Snitch, and is making a mad dash after it!" Clemmence exclaimed leaning forward eagerly to watch Opal chase down the Snitch.

"FASTER!" Clarissa shouted to the Slytherin seeker as she spotted the two seekers in a chase after the golden snitch, zoomed past the two to snatch the quaffle from the Ravenclaws.

It was a risky shot, but Marley was determined not to let the Ravenclaws win the first game of the season as she whacked a Bludger at the two. It seemed the Beater of the Ravenclaw team was thinking the same thing as he launched his own Bludger at the Seekers.

Opal narrowed her slightly at Scorpius gaining on her, and leaned forward to gain more speed and keep on the tail of the Snitch as it swerved and jerked.

"Woah! Taking a risky chance here Beaters from both teams have whacked Bludgers at the opposing team's Seeker in a desperate attempt to win!"

"Come on. Come on. You can do it. Win us the match." Whispered Lorcan who was nearly on the edge of her broom.

"Things are looking good for your house to win." Said Mortimer. He wasn't worried about Lysander at the most, sent, knowing that he was in get good hands with the head nurse.

Opal's fingers just barely grazed the Snitch's wings before her broom was hit by the Slytherin Bludger and she went tumbling. The Snitch disappeared out of sight as she went down haphazardly. Luckily she was able to slow down the broom and gain a slight bit of control before impact as she landed roughly on her rear on the grass.

"Oooh, the Ravenclaw Seeker goes down, she's seems unharmed, but that's a nasty dent in her broom, and it doesn't look like it will be getting back into the air anytime soon."

Marley smiled triumphantly, until she noticed Opal's hand clasping something tightly. Opal glanced up at the Slytherin's grinning as she held up her hand showing her prize. She'd caught the Snitch.

"RAVENCLAW WINS!" Clemmence yelled into the mic proudly.

Clarissa had been celebrating in her head as she watched Opal take the fall, then narrowed her eyes and wore a bitter look on her face once she saw that the Ravenclaw seeker had in fact caught the snitch. She turned to make eye contact with Marley, who looked pretty upset.

Lorcan threw her fist in the air yelling in delight as she floated back down to the ground. They had won the match. Opal had won them the match. Finally on the ground she went over to Opal and clasped a hand on her captain's shoulder. "That was brilliant. In the nick of time as well. Come on we have to tell Lysander. He'll be happy to hear this."

"Congrats." Said Mortimer smiling at Alissa as he stood up. He knew that the crowd was about to get wild with the victory. His house was just glad Slytherin didn't win.

((Got to go))

"God dammit!" Marley cursed floating down on the broom. "And that was a good shot! One of my best!"

Opal smirked at Scorpius mouthing, 'Told you we'd win'.

Opal hugged Lorcan agreeing that they would tell Lysander.

Cassiopeia stealing the ball had Cerys clasping her hands together anxiously, but when she saw the replacement chaser get it back, her fierce grip loosened. She was on the edge of her seat as she watched the chaser travel down the field. When he launched the ball through one of the hoops, she let out a loud cheer, probably being one of the loudest. Then the snitch was spotted and her nerves were on end again. She chewed on her lip nervously as she watched the seekers for both teams race after the golden orb. When Opal lifted her arm and showed off the snitch, Cerys jumped to her feet and yelled, "YES!" A large smile was on her face as she cheered for her team's win.
