Opinion Historical Thread. "Questioning the WW2."

Well, firstly, I'm not sure anyone on this site said that communism isn't the big bad (if so, this sort of thing belongs in PM's so you can politely debate that person), and secondly, if you want to talk about the evils of communism, it isn't limited to World War 2. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics oppressed many countries after they were captured from German hands over a span of half a century. The USSR committed much more evil before the war and after it.
I'm also very sure that nobody here is really interested in running for public office, if so prove me wrong. No, I am not sick of history. I love it and read it regularly, however if your main purpose in the original post was to theorize an event that occurred 70 years, then that is honestly quite uneeded. I did not say you can't discuss WWII, it's just that there is no relevence to discussing it in a role-playing community when no event in the community has warranted its need.

Yes, I realize that evils of communism weren't restricted only to WW2. I'm fucking polish. I know what happened during the communistic times in Poland. (Which was thrown onto weak Poland without any question.)
We want to have a serious conversation for fuckin once. That doesn't revolve around talking about how good or bad your day was. This thread was made so some minds than converse in serious threads on serious topics. Exchange their opinions and disagree or agree with them. Why does everyone have the problem with us having a mature conversation on the forums? Those threads are made specifically for people who on this forum are interested in engaging in those conversations.
It doesn't matter which forum it is. It can be a Rp forum, Game forum or whatever else. As long as there are people who want to engage in serious and mature discussions we should have the freedom to create such Threads. Stop trying to take this freedom from us. If you do not want to partake in this You Don't have to. We will just do our thing and you move on with yours. Is it so hard to understand?

While I am interested in the topic- and have a fairly decent knowledge of the World Wars- I will not write this letter to add to the discussion. That is opening up an entirely...different... can of worms for me. I commend everyone else for their bravery in discussing this topic.

Then you might as well go into every single thread here that's unrelated to RP and say the same thing. Ones regarding music, Korean soup, movies, what to name one's rabbit, for example. This thread might have been better placed in the General Discussion thread, but even then, that forum's byline is:

A place to discuss non-roleplay related hobbies. Here you can talk about television shows, current news and much more.

It fits loosely here in this forum as well, since:

A place to share personal stories, opinions and journals. Here you can share scrap-booking threads, image threads, rants/opinions and other life developments.

Name these people. If you really have a beef with them, take it up via PM. No need for a thread. I am also ethnically Polish, as well as Lithuanian and Slovak. I have neighbors that are from the Baltic area as well. Also, why are you treating this as if I've done this multiple times? I never mentioned anything about how good or bad my day was, and as I said, if you want to discuss, then take it to PM's. Nobody has a problem with you discussing history at all, and there is no thread like this for as long as I have been here (Since January.). And finally, ...how in blazes am I taking freedom away from you? Who is us? If I wanted to not partaken in this thread, then I wouldn't have posted. But I did. I am simply confused as to what warranted discussing a historical event when there is no need to discuss.

We are discussing WW2 instead of Policital stuff. Something that is diffrent and should be talked about with people from diffrent country. This webside isn't made for it. Doesn't have to but I'm just generaly intrested in what people of a Rp community think. Nobody asked for this but here we are. The thread exist so mind as well roll with it.

Because the current generation does not understand why Each side in history was bad. The current generation thinks that Nazis were the big bad and since they follow the Very good guy beliefs (communism). Calling anyone a facist gives them the right to beat them right the fuck up. This thread is made in order to teach at least small portion of the RPN community that had history lacks when it comes to WW2.

But besides that, I love the topics of history and discussing them lets us summarise what went wrong and what WE SHOULD NEVER DO AGAIN. So humanity wouldn't be stuck in a loop of pointless destruction committing the same mistakes.

(Also not to point out. If you are sick of History. Then don't partake in discussions revolving around it. Telling people not to discuss something makes you look bad and the discussion goes off topic because of it.)

I've heard people use this exact argument people use with slavery, which ended an even longer time ago. Not trying to derail, just stating an example. It's hard for certain people to discern your tone in text, which is what caused the off-topic insults in the first place. Along with that, people feel the burning need to 'destroy' each other in a calm discussion and things inevitably escalate, so you're better off just keeping your confusion to yourself. I learned as much in the Trump thread.

Because when someone is asking why people would be interested in ww2, as a WW2 buff, I didn't know if it was trolling or a legitimate question. So rather than in plain words, talk down to someone who doesn't genuinely get it, I just resorted to memes. Because at this point, he was either arrogant and thought he was better than everyone else or genuinely had a disorder that didn't let him understand why people would still discuss the finer points of world war 2.

Mind you, this wasn't coming from a curious person. This was someone trying to shut the thread down and then feigned ignorance in the most childish way possible. Had I really wanted to attack him. It would actually get me banned. You don't give treat people politely, when they come at you with ill intent.
