Warbling Marble
- Hello and welcome to my partner search!
Some info about me and my rp preferences:
-Must be at least 18; I am in my mid-twenties and am not comfortable roleplaying with minors
-I work a full time job with variable hours. This means my schedule changes week to week, and I will have periods where I can respond frequently and get a lot of writing done, as well as days where I'm too tired to do anything during my down time.
-That being said, if I get really into an rp I love being able to post several times a day if time allows and really enjoy solid back-and-forth writing sessions with a partner
-Quality over quantity, always. Please don't write me essays in every single post; I want this to be an interaction as much as I want to tell a story. I absolutely can and will write a lot when I'm inspired but I dislike enforced word or paragraph minimums when it is unnecessary to what is at hand in the roleplay, such as conversations or action sequences
-One liners are acceptable in dialogue between characters
-I'm not great at making pretty posts but can put an amount of effort into it. I do enjoy making moodboards for characters and other shorthand visuals like that, I'm just crappy at coding
-OOC chat is rad; I like getting to know my rp partners
-Doubling is nice, you have to populate a world somehow
-Any gender pairing is cool, and romance is welcomed but not required. You can't force romantic chemistry where there isn't any, and likewise chemistry isn't always romantic in nature. - Modern/Urban fantasy
-The Fair Folk in a modern context
-Gutter mages and shrines to deities in high-rise offices
-Magical coffee shops
-A reality that's slightly off
-Magic that's not a big secret to the world at large
-"hey we're neighbors/roommates and our landlord hasn't done anything to get rid of this supernatural being haunting our apartment complex"
Court/Political drama
-basically any setting: historical, fantasy, futuristic, present-day
-I like people with too much power being petty
-This doesn't have to be government-based either! It could easily be "inner circle" drama within say, a theater troupe, senior executives of a business, or a bunch of people on a reality TV show. I just really enjoy the concept of internal drama and people scheming against each other.
Espionage and/or Crime
-I am spy trash okay
-Dramatic, serious, humorous, goofy, any and all of the above in flavor
-Put a bunch of dudes in nice suits and give them guns and an agenda, or throw some hapless bystanders into a major conspiracy and I'm happy
Other concepts:
-A hotel setting! Road trip! A cruise! Travel!!
-Sibling rivalries! Family secrets!
-Tarot cards and pretty rocks
-I can make your coffee shop AU dreams happen
-"Join me and together we can rule!" "Okay!" "wut okay"
-Hit me up with writing prompts - There are only a handful of fandoms I'd really want to rp right now, and most of this list is "omg you like this less popular thing I also like please let's do the thing" pieces of media that generally don't change for me. This also includes characters and relationships I'm fascinated with that I'd like to explore in other settings, I can elaborate on these upon request.
*Hannibal is the fandom I'm craving the most right now and I would love you forever if you're willing to do that one! I need me some more Hannigram in my life plz*
-The Arcana (canon and AU settings, OCs in canon universe)
-Gravity Falls (canon and AU)
-Hannibal (AU only)
-Sherlock (AU)
-The Princess Bride (AU)
-Star Wars (AU with canon characters or OCs within the canon universe)
-Harry Potter (OCs only. I am most familiar with the books and haven't seen any of the recent expanded universe films)
If you want to play with an alternate universe, let's really delve into it:
-What happens when you place someone in or out of their element?
-The nature of good and evil, reversing moral polarities of characters
-Change a major element from the original setting
-Slice of life for otherwise thrilling stories or vice versa
