• There is a city that never sleeps, where dark ongoings take place every second and secrets ferment amongst its citizens. The city of Saltstone* stands proudly with its towering skyscrapers, granite cliffs, ancient evergreens and beautiful beaches. It is no doubt a beautiful vista to wake up to. But every light has its shadow.
  
  Most of the crimes in Saltstone are normal. The everyday burglary and theft, an occasional murder here and there. But there are crimes and mysteries that certainly push the borders of normality.
  
  You see an advert on a newspaper one day. It reads:
  
  
  
  ASSISTANTS WANTED AT HAWKES & SAWYER
  Hawkes & Sawyer Paranormal Investigators are seeking assistants. Must have good organisation skills, must be committed and able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles. Interviews start from the XX of March 20XX. Bring CVs to interview.
  
  
  For whatever reason, you decided to take the job. Little did you know that there's more to being an 'assistant' at Hawkes & Sawyer.

• Two to three characters are needed, a couple roles need filled but not a priority. Think of these roles as prompts. You can make characters that don't fill these roles.
  
  
  THE MEDIUM - taken by Evan Blackwood
  

  • The Medium is an ordinary citizen of Saltstone. You can choose whether they've lived their whole life in Saltstone or they've recently moved in. They are aware of their abilities but chose not to mention or pay attention to it too much. Their personality and appearance is up to you.

  THE BARISTA - taken by Melissa Sauda
  

  • The Barista is also an ordinary citizen. The cafe they work at is across the Hawkes & Sawyer agency. Nearly everyday, a person orders the same thing: an extra hot Short Black, a Chai Latte, a Cappuccino with three sugars and a Hot Chocolate with extra marshmallows. Sometimes, they'd order another random coffee/tea. The Barista would watch the person walk to the same run-down building. Their personality and appearance is up to you.

  THE SHEEP - Reserved
  

  • The Sheep is an individual who is in some way connected to the demonic side of the supernatural community. Though innocent on the outside, something else entirely will bring misfortune to those near the Sheep and will make this individual question many things about themselves. Personality and appearance is up to you.

  Whether you've applied for the assistant job or not, somehow, your character with be involved in the PI's cases. It is encouraged to give your characters skills at a realistic level.
  
  
  
• Please note that these characters are there just to keep the story moving along and to assist your characters if needed. There are four NPCs. You're welcome to get to know them. It is also possible for them to take interest in a character but only if they're suitable.

  • The youngest of the PIs (she's around twelve).
  • Not an official member, but occasionally helps out.
  • A telekinetic.
  • Attends Saltstone Academy, a baptist school.
• This RP idea is inspired/heavily influenced by KnK: Garden of Sinners, Oxenfree, the Mysterious Benedict Society, the Conjuring, and more.
  
  It's going to be a supernatural thriller with a hint of mystery (don't expect mind-blowing twists or genius sociopaths) set in present time where the Hawkes and Sawyer paranormal investigators take on cases with any sort of supernatural force behind it. Ghosts, feral werewolves (not the Twilight or able-to-change-at-any-moment kind), vampires (again, not the Twilight kind) and other supernatural entities that plague the city. There will be blood and the likes, stuff you'll see in horror movies. Demonic possession, decapitated heads, etc. It might mention dark subjects, most of the time in a subtle way and not outright said. Of course I'll be keeping things within the rules and regulations of RpNation.
