Name: Reiji "Reggie" Matsuyu
Age: 20
Appearance: (He also wears a white bandana around his head with a Black wave pattern on it, a gift from his childhood friend)
1705781029992.png
Personality: Reiji is rather laid-back most of the time, taking his time in everything he does and almost never feeling a particular need to rush things. He is frequently seen around town in his free time, either napping or reading in some sunlit spot or otherwise just slacking off, much to the chagrin of his "Gramps". He's also quite blunt when speaking to others and isn't one to conceal how he feels about whatever they're talking about. Despite his lazy demeanor, he seems to always be willing to help those he considers friends, such as Merianne, the local carpenter whom he is very protective of.

Store Owner: No. His Grandfather owns the store.
Occupation: Blacksmith (Apprentice)
Living Place: Golden Moon Village, South of the Village Center, Medium House with a Blacksmith Workshop next door and connected by the porch.
Pet: Cat (Tora)
Store Info:
Type of Store: Blacksmith's workshop (Iron Dragon Smithy)
Hours: 8 AM - 1PM, 2PM - 7PM (Closed Sundays and Festival Days)
Store Appearance: The store itself is directly beside Reiji and his grandfather Gaiden's home, connected by the porch that wraps around both buildings. Both share an east Asian style of architecture, specifically Japanese, as they come from a country based on it. On the front of the shop is a circle with an Eastern Dragon depicted inside.

"-Yaaaawn- Yeah, I'll get to it, Gramps... (Right after this afternoon nap...)"

Born in a country far to the east, Reiji's parents died when he was very young, leaving only his grandfather to care for him. They moved into Golden Moon while he was still a kid, and he's been there since. As he adjusted to new life, he befriended the daughter of the late local carpenter, Meri, who would eventually gift him with a bandana so they could "match". Reiji continues his training as a blacksmith, and even studies Swordsmanship, under his grandfather, Gaiden.

Name: Gaiden Matsuyu
Age: 78
Appearance:
1705782423348.png
Personality:
Gaiden is a strict, disciplined old man who holds both his work and his grandson Reiji to very high standards. He tends to complain about how his "slacker grandson" isn't ready to inherit the store or be considered a Master Blacksmith. But despite giving him a hard time, he truly does love and care for Reiji and softens up from time to time to show it. He will always put every ounce of his strength in his work as a blacksmith.

Store Owner: Yes
Occupation: Blacksmith (Master)

"Put yer back into it, boy! You want to make that metal sturdy and straight!"

Gaiden was born in a country far to the east, descending from a long line of blacksmiths that he proudly traces back 600 years. After a freak accident took away his daughter and his son-in-law, he took in their only child, Reiji, and cared for him since. After receiving the flyer regarding Golden Moon Village, the two of them moved there to open a Blacksmith shop. Just as his father had taught him, Gaiden teaches Reiji the craft of Metalworking and the art of Swordsmanship, though he's rather displeased by the boy's slow progress and lazy demeanor.

Name: Merianne "Meri" Westwynd
Age: 20
Appearance: (While working, she also wears a bandana over her head, dark blue with white flower petals. When she isn't working, she keeps it tied around her arm)
1705782830002.png
Personality: Energetic, Optimistic, Tomboyish and Cheerful, Meri is a bright ray of sunshine and loves to be outdoors and active. She finds it difficult to sit still for very long, and is always buzzing about town whenever she's not at work, looking for something to do, and often roping her childhood friend Reiji, who she calls "Reggie", into her antics. She's also a very hard worker, running her late father's carpentry business on her own.

Store Owner: Yes
Occupation: Carpenter
Living Place: Golden Moon Village, A small log cabin on the outskirts of town, near the woods.
Pet: Husky Dog (Stella), a gift from her father before he died.
Store Info:
Type of Store: Carpentry (Westwynd Carpentry and Construction)
Hours: 9 AM - 1 PM, 2 PM - 7 PM (Closed Sundays and Festival Days)
Store Appearance: It's just her house. She has a desk where she draws up blueprints, and a work yard outside where she cuts timber.

"Hey, C'mon, you can't just nap your whole life away, Reg! What's the point of living if ya don't enjoy it?!"

Born in Golden Moon Village to the local Carpenter, Gordon, and his wife (who died from her labors shortly after), Meri had a rather uneventful early life, but did her best to make the most of it. During her childhood, she'd meet Reiji (Which she mispronounced as "Reggie" and has been calling him that since), and the two became very close friends. However, tragedy would strike when she was 15, and her father got sick and passed away. Since then, she had been struggling to keep her father's carpentry business afloat in his name, putting her blood, sweat and tears into her work.
