here is the roleplay for the supernatural roleplay greenwood falls. we are currently starting with the summer festival and the supernaturals are welcoming the humans to greenwood falls. there is no starter post from me so feel free to go ahead and start posting.

It was a beautiful summer day in Greenwood Falls, and the town was abuzz with excitement for the annual Summer Festival. The sun shone brightly in a clear blue sky, its warm rays dancing upon the colorful decorations that adorned the streets. Banners in vibrant hues of green, yellow, and pink fluttered in the gentle breeze, while the aroma of freshly baked treats and blooming flowers filled the air.

Amidst the bustling preparations, Fiona Skye MacGregor made her way through the crowded streets, her ethereal presence blending seamlessly with the festive atmosphere. Her long, flowing dress shimmered subtly in the sunlight, its delicate fabric seeming to change color with each graceful step. To the casual observer, she appeared to be just another festival-goer, albeit an uncommonly beautiful one.

However, Fiona's keen senses were on high alert. She had noticed an increasing number of humans visiting Greenwood Falls in recent weeks, and while she welcomed their presence, she knew it was more important than ever to maintain the delicate balance between the magical and mortal realms.

As she walked, Fiona discreetly wove small enchantments of protection and harmony, her fingertips glowing faintly with a soft, green light. She whispered ancient blessings to the trees that lined the streets, ensuring that the natural world would remain vibrant and strong despite the influx of visitors.

Fiona's destination was the central square, where she had volunteered to assist with storytelling for the children. It was one of her favorite festival activities, as it allowed her to share the timeless tales and lessons of Greenwood Falls with the younger generation.

Upon arriving at the square, Fiona was greeted by a group of excited children, their eyes wide with anticipation. She smiled warmly, settling herself beneath the shade of a large oak tree. As the children gathered around her, Fiona began to weave a tale of adventure, magic, and the importance of respecting the natural world.

Her voice was melodic and enchanting, captivating the young audience. The story seemed to come alive as she spoke, the characters and settings taking on an almost tangible quality. Unbeknownst to the children, Fiona was infusing the tale with a subtle magic, planting seeds of wisdom and wonder that would grow within their hearts long after the festival had ended.

As Fiona continued her storytelling, she couldn't help but feel a sense of joy and purpose. This was her role - to guide, to protect, and to nurture the magic that flowed through Greenwood Falls. And with the arrival of the humans, her mission had become all the more vital. She knew that the coming days would bring new challenges and opportunities, but for now, she was content to bask in the warmth of the summer sun and the laughter of the children, weaving her magic one tale at a time.

Calvin Moreland stepped into the bustling heart of Greenwood Falls, his eyes widening at the vibrant display before him. The annual Summer Festival was in full swing, transforming the usually tranquil town into a kaleidoscope of colors, sounds, and tantalizing aromas. Stalls lined the streets, their owners proudly displaying an array of flowers, seeds, handcrafted jewelry, and mouth-watering delicacies.

As Calvin wove through the crowd, his journalist's instinct kicked in, absorbing every detail and filing it away for future reference. The air hummed with excitement and a hint of something else, an undercurrent of mystery that seemed to permeate the very fabric of Greenwood Falls.

He paused at a stall brimming with exotic blooms, their petals shimmering in the sunlight. The elderly woman tending the flowers greeted him with a warm smile, her eyes twinkling with a knowing glint that made Calvin wonder if she could sense his true purpose here.

"Lovely day for a festival, isn't it?" she remarked, her voice carrying a melodic lilt.

Calvin nodded, returning her smile. "Yeah. Um, I've never seen flowers quite like these before. They're stunning."

The woman chuckled softly. "They're native to our little town. Some say they hold a touch of magic in their petals."

Calvin's interest piqued at the mention of magic, but he kept his expression neutral. "Oh, really? You know, I'm pretty interested in learning more about the local folklore. I'm a travel writer, so I'm eager to uncover the hidden stories of the places I'm visiting."

The woman's gaze seemed to pierce through him, as if assessing his sincerity. After a moment, she nodded slowly. "Well, if you're truly interested, I suggest you keep your eyes and ears open. Greenwood Falls has a way of revealing its secrets to those who are worthy."

With those cryptic words, she turned her attention to another customer, leaving Calvin to ponder the implications of her statement. He made a mental note to explore the town's folklore in more depth, sensing that it might hold the key to unlocking the mysteries he sought.

As he continued his journey through the festival, Calvin couldn't shake the feeling that he was on the cusp of something extraordinary. The air seemed to buzz with an energy he couldn't quite place, and he found himself drawn to the quieter corners of the celebration, where whispered conversations and furtive glances hinted at a world beyond the ordinary.

Little did Calvin know, as he immersed himself in the sights, sounds, and secrets of the Summer Festival, that his quest for hidden truths was about to lead him down a path he never could have imagined. Greenwood Falls, it seemed, was a town that guarded its mysteries closely, and uncovering them would require more than just a keen eye and a curious mind.

Quinton Rives surveyed the bustling festival grounds, his piercing bluish-green eyes taking in the vibrant stalls, jovial laughter, and the tantalizing aromas of food wafting through the warm summer air. It was the annual Summer Festival in Greenwood Falls, a time of celebration and merriment for the town's eclectic inhabitants. However, this year, there was an undercurrent of tension palpable beneath the festive atmosphere. Humans had been sighted with increasing frequency in their secluded haven, a development that had the supernatural community on edge. Rives himself was no exception, his mind calculating the potential risks and opportunities presented by this unprecedented influx of mortals.

As he wove through the crowd, his dark robes subtly enchanted to blend in with the colorful attire of the festival-goers, Rives couldn't help but feel a mix of disdain and curiosity towards these humans. They were so fragile, so oblivious to the true nature of the world around them. In truth, most were little more than ants to him, but for a rare few, there was something undeniably alluring about their ephemeral existence, their capacity for both great innovation and profound destruction.

Rives paused at a stall selling intricate trinkets, his keen eyes spotting a delicate silver pendant adorned with ancient runic inscriptions. To the untrained eye, it was merely a pretty bauble, but Rives recognized it as a potent protective charm. He swiftly purchased the item, slipping it into his pocket with a knowing smirk.

As he continued his exploration of the festival, Rives couldn't shake the feeling that change was in the air. The arrival of the humans had set something in motion, a shifting of the delicate balance that had long governed Greenwood Falls. Whether this change would prove to be an opportunity or a threat remained to be seen, but one thing was certain – Quinton Rives would be ready to face it head-on.

Ah, the summer festival. The sun shining, the birds singing, and the hellspawn running their stalls. Ava and Jikariel had set up a little spot next to the town square, selling small jewelry and other trinkets. Ava had spent most of the night putting some minor enchantments on them. Things to cure colds, other stuff like that. She looked at her familiar. "Everything set?"

"You got it, boss!" came Jikariel's cheerful reply. "Let's see how much money we can make today."

"Would be easier to do it my way," Ava commented, but there had recently been an influx of mortals to the town. Conjuring cash was right out, at least for the time being. C'est la vie.

SUMMER FESTIVAL.

Graham pulled up to the parking lot of the fair in his shitty pickup truck. The life of a gardener: full of glamor and richness and slightly rusted trucks. There was evidence of having definitely formerly lived out of it scattered about… and also it looked like a piece of old junk at this point.

But that was neither here nor there!

He looked over at Percy as he opened the door and offered a calloused hand to help the new resident down. Green eyes flashed briefly with an appreciative look up and down.

His human disguise had been honed throughout the ages, quiet discussions on what parts made a face a face, staring deep into each other's eyes until he had the perfect shade of grassy field. Faded freckles across his face, subtle signs of aging. Prominent crow’s feet. Slightly gangly limbs.

“You look ravishing tonight, by the way.” Graham offered by way of compliment, flirting with a stupid level of confidence to make it way more of a joke. “M’lord.”

Make it even dumber. He bumped shoulders with Percy as they walked down the dirt patch that was the parking area. “Are you in love with me yet?”

They walked into the festival, little comfortable touches. Beautiful vibrant colors dazzling in a celebration of bright summer. Graham had helped Percy move in, couches were difficult to move up a three floor walkup after all. Same with mattresses. After that? A beer, dinner, promises to hangout again later. And their friendship had just flourished from there.

Graham went over to a stall selling little wooden figurines and cooed over some bears with hats. “Look at him!”

He held up a stupid painted brown wooden bear figurine that was waving with a black top hat and a bowtie. His eyes scrunched into a genuine smile that spread all across his face.

“He’s so happy!”

Aria Baines

summer air hits different
Just as usual, Aria was on-site at their annual summer festival. Year after year, residents gathered to celebrate perhaps the liveliest season of the year. The city streets were bursting with people. Aria’s smile graced the youthful face from ear to ear. Ridiculously happy she tripped along the street and took in the fresh air from a soft summer breeze. The smell of spun sugar mixed with flowers and candle incense tickled her nostrils.

When Ri was happy, she did not hide it- easy to read like an open book. Her eyes glittered blue with anticipation and satisfaction. Wearing a light blue blouse in honor of the day, a beige skirt, and a loose-knitted cardigan in the colors of the rainbow but light pastels. Her white sneakers bounced soundlessly on the street. No human would notice this weightless phenomenon, not among the buzz of talk, laughter, and music. Maybe this was the most exciting summer festival ever. Never before had so many humans found their way to their little town - and chosen to stay there. It was exciting, fascinating, and almost scary. Such an adrenaline-creating mission - trying to keep their secret.

Airi passed all the stalls lined up on the street. Some were more popular than others. But Airi made sure to smile at everyone who met her gaze. Some nods and friendly greetings.

“best summer-festival ever huh?”

The old man selling dream-catchers nodded. A family of dwarfs selling crystal and stones waved with big smiles. Stalls with funny decorative figures. Toys, clothes, food, entertaining shows and activities. Greenwood Fall’s big summer event had everything. It was a completely normal festival, except for the fact that Greenwood Falls was anything but normal. This was all a show. Welcoming the humans to Greenwood Falls.

If they only knew.. Aria smirked.

She continued her trip down the street, but shortly after froze in her steps when her attention was drawn to a crowded stall with a long line. Her sensitive nose already knew way before the eyes caught a glimpse of the white cream lying in cloud form on a freshly baked waffle cone. Once again, her eyes glittered in azul blue. After about 5 minutes of waiting, she held the ice cream cone in her delicate pale hand and pressed it to her small, plump mouth to enjoy the cold vanilla taste.

Aria sat down on the stone wall close to the water fountain, located on the square. She dangled her legs slightly as she gazed out over the crowd in the square. All while enjoying her vanilla ice-cream. Fiona was busy telling her immersive tales. Tales were told of magic and the balance of nature - which to the humans seemed like fantasies, but which Area knew were as true as night and day. She smiled while listening in on the stories.

Solar Soliloquy.

There is no fate more satisfying than Icarus' fall. For in that moment, you touched him. Warm and loving. Embraced, as wax clung to his form.

SUMMER FESTIVAL.

“insert dialogue”

Cinderella had a magic pumpkin transform to take her to the ball, The little mice transforming into elegant horses. A true magical chariot. Somehow, Percy felt all similarly in this rust-bucket of a truck. A big grin as Graham swooped around to help him out. “Why, what a gentleman.” Cooed the human, taking the hand outstretched to him and proceeding to interlock arms after their shoulders bumped once. “Oh I’m absolutely swooning.” Such a bright grin, playing along with these little comments.

It was just a delightful festival, the atmosphere absolutely sparkling. Percy couldn’t help but smile as they looked around, grin only growing bigger as some figurines caught Graham’s attention. Percy was a sucker for souvenirs.

“What a dapper little fellow” Percy mused, though he was a bit more attentive over the way Graham's eyes lit up over it than the bear itself. “Do you want him?” Completely unable to help himself when he saw someone just looking so pleased over a trinket. They just got there- But Percy was ready to break the wallet out. “Just saying- I’ll have to thank you somehow for this ‘not-date.’ I’m a big gift giver.” …. Percy already said he was going to pay for food in their texts. It was probably already at a fair trade, he was just being a little sneaky to try and up the chances of buying it for Graham.

Sugar daddy Percy was on the prowl!

Of course, not everyone liked having money spent on them, so the comment also served as a fair warning, and a way to gauge how Graham felt about it. Would roll it back if it was too much.

Percy did pick out a little guy who was shaped in a way to look like he was dancing. He’d like this one for himself either way! So what would it be Graham? Hand out to take the bear if Graham was willing to be spoiled a bit.

Fiona Skye MacGregor, having finished her storytelling session, made her way through the bustling festival grounds with a spring in her step and a smile on her face. As she walked, her keen senses picked up on the subtle undercurrents of magic woven throughout the various stalls and attractions. One booth, in particular, caught her attention - a small setup selling enchanted trinkets and jewelry, manned by a curious pair.

Fiona approached the stall, her eyes meeting those of the proprietor, a young woman with a peculiar aura about her. "Hiya!" Fiona greeted exuberantly. "This stuff all looks so pretty! I couldn't help but notice the enchantments you've placed on everything, too. It's really impressive!"

Fiona giggled softly, her spirited green eyes sparkling with a knowing glint. "I've been around long enough to recognize true talent when I see it. So how long have you been practicing the art of enchantment?"

SUMMER FESTIVAL.

Graham blinked, head rearing back just slightly as his lips curled into a smile. Very pleased.

“Awh, mate, you should at least ask a favor in return. Eat you out or somethin’. Might start thinking about taking advantage.” He said, putting the bear back. Another little bump in the shoulder.

“The dinner was a return for inviting you out. The bear is a gift.” He clarified for Percy. His pale skin turned a bit pink at the offer. It wasn’t that he was completely opposed to people spending money on him, it was just… well, he hadn’t had a lot of nonsexual relationships, and Percy had a weird aggravating way of getting past the sarcasm and the sex jokes, the deflections, and getting more to him.

“And I have nothing to give you in return”

Well, that wasn’t quite true, was it. He was a fae. Could bestow some kind of boon upon him if he wanted right on the spot. A beautiful flower grown from fae magic would catch a pretty penny, after all. But that would mean that the masquerade would cease, and he wasn’t quite sure he wanted this dance to end yet.

“Might start giving me ideas about your intentions being less than pure of heart, and then where would we be.” Another small tease, a flirt. A wicked mischievous grin.

Though, he would stick around to see if Percy bought his own little dancing bear (fecking adorable piece of shite). After the purchase, he gently put an arm over Percy’s shoulders as they walked. “Now. I want to beat you at squirt, are you in?”

A competitive and almost flirty note entered his warm voice. Very heavy Irish accent to him as he directed the human towards a game with water guns and a target where they raced little wooden horses by shooting the water gun at the target.

It was not called squirt.

He was being a dick, and looked very very pleased with himself with the joke.

Calvin Moreland, his curiosity piqued by the vibrant atmosphere of the Summer Festival, found himself drawn to the central square. As he approached the fountain, his gaze fell upon a young woman with striking silver-blonde hair, her delicate features alight with joy as she savored an ice cream cone.

Intrigued by her appearance but also slightly nervous, Calvin approached the stone wall where she sat, putting on his best friendly smile. "Hi, would you mind if I joined you?" he asked, gesturing to the space beside her. "I'm Calvin, by the way. Calvin Moreland."

Calvin settled himself on the stone wall, his gaze drifting over the festive scene before them. "So, are you from this place, Greenwood Falls? I'm a travel writer, and stories about it are pretty captivating, I'd say. So that's what drew me here." He knew he'd probably find out sooner if there was any truth to the legends if others thought he was some type of supernatural being himself, but he had also assumed that others would see through him a mile away. Thus, he figured it was probably better to play it safe and be completely open about his background.

Aria Baines

summer air is different
Eyes closed for a moment, Area took a deep breath- letting the air tell her all the information she needed to know. No accidents so far had led to any humans learning their secret. So far so good. Area was thrilled over the humans presence in town, so she didn’t mind at all when one of them came forward and requested to join her on the stone wall. Ri smiled and studied the young man, coming to the conclusion that he seemed harmless. A young face with innocent, curious blue eyes. And she already found him fascinating.

“I don’t mind at all. Be my guest” she answered without hesitation. Adjusting her body slightly turning it to the side so she could look at the young man while he spoke.

“Nice to meet you Calvin. I'm Area. Area Baines” she continued, momentarily taking a break from the slowly melting ice cream in her hand. Her calm attitude changed to curiosity and eagerness when he mentioned being a travel writer. Ah, fascinating!.. she’d never met a travel writer before.. what she could recall.

“Yup, feels like I’ve been here forever” Area laughed softly, taking a munch of the waffle cone.

“A travel writer huh, amazing!” she got silent and pondered whether she should ask or not. Then finally decided that it probably didn't matter. She was curious after all.” I'm curious. What stories about Greenwood Falls brought you here? I work at the news station here, so I probably heard them all”

Calvin couldn't help but smile at Aria's enthusiasm. Her curiosity and eagerness were refreshing, and he found himself feeling a little bit more at ease in her presence. "Well, you know," he began, his eyes twinkling with a mix of excitement and mystery, "stories about the hidden magic of Greenwood Falls, whispers of supernatural beings living among the residents, and the town's ability to keep its secrets from the outside world."

He leaned in slightly, his voice lowering as if sharing a confidential secret. "Being a travel writer, I'm pretty often drawn to certain places that have some kind of mystique about them, places that seem to exist just beyond the veil of the ordinary. And Greenwood Falls, I'd say, is pretty much overflowing with that kind of allure."

Calvin's gaze drifted back to the festival, taking in the vibrant colors and the joyful
atmosphere. "I guess you could say I'm here to uncover the truth behind the legends, to experience the magic for myself, if it does exist." He chuckled softly, a self-deprecating note in his voice. "I am an agnostic atheist, so I've never really put much stock into stories about the supernatural. But at the same time, I have often found myself wishing that I lived in a universe where magic of some sort was real."

He turned his attention back to Aria, his expression warm and friendly. "And you mentioned your work at the news station here? I'd like to hear your thoughts on this town's unique character. As someone who's been here for a while, I'm sure you have some fascinating insights to share."

Calvin settled into a more comfortable position on the stone wall, his body language open and inviting, eager to learn more about both Greenwood Falls and the intriguing young woman beside him.

Ava glanced at Fiona- she'd seen the sylph several times over the years, but the elementalist had never been a regular customer of hers. "Oh, not long. It's not something I'm experienced at. I'm more of a summoner- if you wish, you can come to Seventh Street on Saturday morning for a demonstration and some lessons. That said, these little things do have their uses."

Jikariel held up a small amethyst and silver pendant. "This one, for instance, has a ward against illnesses. Not going to prevent cancer or anything, but should lessen the effects of colds and flus."

If Fiona would look at the charms for sale, she would notice that the prices were somewhat high- Ava was who she was- but the quality was pretty good as well.

Fiona's eyes sparkled with genuine enthusiasm as she leaned in to inspect the enchanted trinkets more closely. "Oooh, a summoner, you say? That's quite the impressive skill!" She grinned, her fingers hovering over the amethyst pendant Jikariel held up. "And these protective wards are absolutely brilliant. You clearly got a knack for this sort of thing, even if it's not your primary focus."

Fiona picked up the pendant, turning it over in her hands and feeling the subtle thrum of magic within the stone. "You know, I might just have to take you up on that offer for a demonstration and some lessons. I'm always eager to learn new techniques, especially from someone with your level of expertise."

She glanced at the price tags, noting the slightly higher cost but recognizing the quality of the craftsmanship. "And these prices? Well, they're more than fair, considering the skill and power imbued in each piece. You're not just selling trinkets; you're offering protection and
peace of mind. That's priceless, in my book."

Fiona carefully set the pendant back down, her gaze meeting Ava's once more. "I'll
definitely be stopping by Seventh Street on Saturday. In the meantime, I think I'll take this little charm here." She pointed to a small, intricately carved wooden amulet. "It's got a lovely aura about it, and I can never have too many good luck charms, especially with all the new faces in town these days."

As she reached for her coin purse, Fiona's expression grew more serious. "Speaking of which, have you noticed anything unusual or concerning with the influx of humans in Greenwood Falls? I'm all for sharing our community's magic and wonder, but we do need to be a little bit cautious about maintaining the balance and secrecy of our little haven. There's a part of me which goes 'Ugh! Rules and secrecy? Blech!' I mean, it does kinda go against everything I believe in, dismantling unjust hierarchies and such, but it's like, the mindless destruction Paradox brings ain't exactly my idea of a good time either, you know? My family always lectures me about it, especially my dad, who's kinda like the primal embodiment of order in the universe, which is..." She made a groaning sound to make her point. "But at the same time, they're not... completely wrong about it, either. So yeah, I'd say we need to be a little bit cautious. Just a little bit."
