Fandom Gladius: A Multi-Fandom RP

Inquiry: Characters that we have signed up for don't instantly have to be brought into the RP, right? Also, when/if a character dies, there is no option to create another to bring into the fold, or are we all doing that now via sign-ups? I have an extremely difficult time playing more than one character at a time, as I'll invariably lead to personality-mashing them.

Specialist Specialist I dunno this Zerohex Zerohex dude dropped a complete CS and then he just pussied out and wiped the whole thing.
Screw that guy anyway though FF7 was a terrible game anyway and if he wants to say otherwise he can internet fight me.

Zerohex Zerohex Aah, to be honest I've never played any of the FF games, believe it or not. I grew up on Uncharted, Battlefield, Halo (allllll the books man), STALKER, TF2.. List goes on and on. Oh, and MGS. Anywho; glad to weed out the wheat from the chaff aye?

@Shining Wizard @Specialist
I'm actually not super big on FF7 either, FF4 is where it's at with FF5 making good on 3's class system, then I stopped caring at 8. Not counting Tactics at least. A friend once gifted me a copy of FF7 over Steam as a joke, even, knowing full well I wouldn't touch it and I'd be angry at him for spending money on something he knows I don't want.

Anyway, apparently I'm banned from the game and my character deleted not because the character was bad but because apparently the first time this game happened was a negative experience that I played a part in. How exactly I was never told, I'd honestly kinda forgotten about the first incarnation of this, and I was given a like from @The Mad Queen when I first posted in this intcheck which I tend to take as acceptance. Shot her a message yesterday night about things but got no response yet.

Zerohex Zerohex Fair enough, then. Though I would say 9 was arguably the most charming FF game of the PS1 generation so you missed out there.

Also that's really weird that you'd be kicked from the game without any kind of public notice or discussion. Kind of a dick move on the GM's part, honestly.

I've been trying to do this quietly through PMing with him, but it comes down to past experiences with him in an RP that were ultimately negative and toxic (and he contributed to that toxicity).
I'll spare the details as that's really between me and him, but the gist of it is I'm not letting him in so to avoid that toxicity from making it's place in an RP I've put a lot of work into and want people to enjoy.

The Mad Queen The Mad Queen You realize that just flat-out insulting someone and then deleting their posts and not giving them a chance to respond looks really scummy, right? Like, even if you say it's to avoid drama you're still more or less outright calling him a motherfucker. If you're gonna shut someone out at least use neutral language.

Wait, is this the person that you claimed to know nothing about? Lying isn't cool and if they were shitty in the past then there's even less reason for you to do that.

Look we're all just playing a game of pretend here. Is such a toxic response against him necessary? What I think we need is a open dialogue where grievances can be aired out fairly, where both sides can make their concerns known without worrying about whether or not someone might try to take advantage of them, by say purposefully silencing them or by being far too aggressive in their actions.

You're right. I can't be toxic just because he was toxic in the past. At the very least, it's extremely hypocritical of me and at worst it's doing the very thing I'd hoped to avoid and why I banned him in the first place: In being too harsh with trying to avoid toxicity, I became the toxic one.

I won't make any excuses for this, so I won't. All I will say to you, but to Zerohex Zerohex especially is that I'm sorry for my bad behaviour.

If you all would be willing to give me a chance, I hope we can put this instance of my shitty actions behind us and carry on with the RP. This sort of thing will not happen again, I promise.
If not, I'll terminate it here if that's what you guys want.

I don't think they want you to terminate the RP

See this is what an open discourse allows us to achieve, we get to come to understands we might not have seen if we didn't allow the other parties to say their case. Dialogue is important, and just expressing your concerns openly helps a lot.

Water under the bridge, let's just communicate in an open manner and not try to be overtly hostile about this or that. We're talking about games of pretend after all.

I know he has me ignored 'cause I was very vocal about my dislike towards his arc ideas but I honestly don't want to see this RP die before it starts just because of a silly little internet argument.
