  She may be the living epitome of sunshine, but Violet had a rough beginning. She hopped from foster home to foster home until she met her best friend, Kevin. He died bringing her to Camp Half-Blood, the most permanent home she's ever known. Over the years, she's become the camp's best healer, as well as the Apollo cabin's head counselor. More often than not, she spends her nights in the infirmary, overworking and worrying herself to exhaustion.

  Violet's good friend. He's made frequent visits to the infirmary at the start of the camp's summer sessions, and it was through these visits they got to know each other. She easily guessed that his home life was rough, and so she's always worrying about him (especially when he's drunk). Still, he makes her smile wider than usual, even while trying to get her to play beer pong. Over time, he's simply become her lucky boy.

  The son of Aphrodite who, along with their satyr guide Doug, brought Violet to Camp Half-Blood. He was her first love, not that she knew it at the time. She still has the ring he gave her, and every now and then she asks Kyle to imbue some luck into it.

  Jasper Oriana

  Violet's favorite half-brother. After a certain mishap, he's no longer allowed in the infirmary. The music to her sunshine, she loves him very, very deeply. She'll always seek a hug from her brother.

  Noah spent the first twelve years of his life living with a drunk mother who barely looked him. He was more than happy to go to Camp Half-Blood, where he received slightly more attention from the camp director, his father. Eventually, he grew out of his need for parental approval and turned to the more fun things in life. Nowadays, Noah especially enjoys beating his best friend at beer pong and helping grow the camp strawberries.

  Noah's crush and beer pong partner. Sure, he found her cute at first and invited her out with him and Kyle, but gods. She is so. Damn. CUTE. He's always tongue-tied and jittery around her, which she thankfully hasn't noticed. Noah smiles like a fool around her and is practically in heaven whenever they're together. Now if only he could gain more confidence to finally tell her how he's head over heels about her.

  Noah's best friend and number one drinking buddy. He loves to tease Kyle about Violet, which means the leprechaun teases him about Marissa. They're thick as drunken thieves, and their beer pong rivalry is legendary.

  Noah's ex. She was his first girlfriend, and they were each other's everything, really. Now, they're just good friends. Noah can't figure out how he managed to get her to go out with him when he can't even get one sentence out with Marissa, but she sure gets a kick out of it.

  The third to the merry band of drunkards. Victor very adamantly doesn't want Noah or Kyle to pursue Violet romantically, but the leprechaun didn't get the memo. It's all Noah can do to stop Victor from trying to electrocute Kyle, though he can't help but admire Vic's tenacity.

  Damon is a self-proclaimed slut and one-half of the Love Twins. He's been blessed with his father's talent for matchmaking, thanks to his ability to sense the feelings of love stirring in people's hearts. Along with his platonic soulmate, Felicity, they have a 99% success rate for their matches (and the 1% wasn't their fault). Although he can always pick up on others' feelings of love and romance, he's never really felt it for himself. Perhaps he's cursed to forever be a third wheel.

For a while, Damon thought he was a dick, but as it turns out, they're rather alike in their roles in their other halves' lives. Being left out of your loved ones' fun is never great, and Avery understands that more than anyone else. They're even starting to cooperate when it comes to serious matters… weird.

  Felicity is Damon's other half, his Amore. Fee is everything to him, and he would do anything to keep her happy. Their godly parents orchestrated their births, but that doesn't change how Damon loves her more than anything. They're more than siblings, and they always will be.

  Mer-Bear! Meredith became he and Fee's third, and together, they are the Beauty Triad. Damon has always been attracted to her, and they've been friends with benefits for a while. Her own romance seems to be blossoming, and while he's happy for her, a part of him is worried he'll be left behind. The last thing he wants is to lose his best friend.

  Care Isaac

  Even Damon can't quite place how Care became a quasi-little sister. She's a heart attack waiting to happen, and he loves her to death anyway. While Fee isn't always sure what's going on with her, Damon fundamentally understands. He and Fee are the ones she comes to when she's not sure how to talk to her brother. Damon has faith that someday she'll be able to truly voice her feelings.

  Damon wishes he could call Caleb a friend, but he's not sure the son of Hermes considers it that. He was lightly blackmailing Damon to figure out who Care's crush was, but Damon has a strict non-disclosure policy when it comes to his love omniscience. And frankly, he was more concerned with how long it took Caleb to start his own romance. Sheesh, no one listens to him!

  A daughter of Hypnos through and through, Willow is a narcoleptic girl who's easily embarrassed. She's often found sleeping her way through the day or trying to help others fall asleep using her lullaby power. Willow loves to sketch her vivid dreams, which often feature her boyfriend. Her best friend growing up got hurt protecting her from a hellhound, and she's been afraid of someone else sacrificing themselves for her ever since.

  Willow's boyfriend. For a while, their shared sleepiness made them "not-siblings," but Willow had a huge crush on him. After stealing her favorite pillow and refusing to give it back, he kissed her, and every day since has been a dream. He teases her relentlessly, and despite that, she can't help but adore him. Most of their days are spent napping in his room with her cat, Somnus. Willow finds it hard to vocalize her true feelings to him, especially the fact that she can't imagine her life without him.

  Felicity Grace

  Willow's best girl friend. For a while, their relationship was strained when Willow (foolishly) thought she and Caleb were interested in each other. Now, things are great. Willow looks to Fee for advice about her relationship, and sometimes she's able to reciprocate. Fee provides much-needed time away from bed, and Willow loves her for it.

  Narcissa Douglas

  Since Willow is a bit of an expert on sleep, she occasionally helps out those campers who suffer from insomnia, including Narcissa. Though her methods are not always foolproof, Willow's help seems to be working wonders for her. Now if only she'd stop staying out late with that pet of hers…

  Care Isaac

  Caleb's younger sister. Willow tries to give them time to spend together, but their shared stubbornness makes her efforts fruitless. On Caleb's behalf, Willow once tried to get Care to open up to her brother more, but the conversation didn't go very well. Still, Care seems to trust Willow to an extent, though Willow's not sure she can meet the daughter of Athena's expectations.

  Star was raised by a couple who couldn't have children themselves, and her godly mother, Iris, helped them out. Unfortunately, they kept her locked away in a world of darkness to keep her from monsters. She was eventually rescued by Wren, a child of Asclepius, who brought her to Half-Blood. There, she became a regular at the pegasi stables, but she's woefully behind on her schooling. Her life is rather marred by her sentiment that she's an idiot.

  One of Star's best friends. Care helped Star with her education when she struggled to catch up. For the longest time, Star never picked up on Care's feelings for her, despite them holding hands quite often. The two girls had a major fight about their relationship, and Star was heartbroken, thinking Care didn't care about her. She has no clue how wrong she is or why that idea hurts so damn much. All she knows right now is that she misses her friend.

  The demigod who brought Star to camp after rescuing her from her parents and a giant. They went missing on a quest a year ago, and she hasn't heard from them. She hopes one day they'll find their way back home. Wren always knew what to say to her when she was down.

  Brandon Delmore

  Star's best friend, her Bran Muffin. They're two dummies in a pod. After catching her from falling off her pegasus (twice), they hit it off, realizing they were much more similar than they originally thought. Bran knows how to help her feel better when she's sad, and he's always reassuring her that she's not as stupid as she thinks. She's one of few people who can get through to him when he's being stubborn.

Things were pretty boring until the Darkness Trio formed. Since then, Adrian's life has been full of shenanigans, and he's become more of a mama bear than he ever thought he could be. All he wants is to make sure his best friends don't die. That's one funeral he never wants to see.

He's perfectly content to admire her from afar… or as up close as their training allows. She's gorgeous, of course, but there's something more to it. Maybe someday he'll be able to tell her that.

  Adrian's Death Bro. Eli has been like his little brother ever since he arrived at camp. He loves his death bro a lot, and he'd do anything for the younger demigod. Adrian never misses out on a chance to tease him about how close he and Nyssa have been getting while hiding how sad it'll be when they eventually leave him behind.

Nyssa and Eli share custody of a hellhound puppy and spend more time together than they do with him, which increases Adrian's fear that they won't need him someday.   Despite being the eldest cousin of the third Mosquera generation, Danitza's grandmother ignored her in favor of her cousin, rarely acknowledging Dani's hard work or talents. Her view of herself thus dwindled, only to worsen when she lost her family to the fire, save for Cesar. After one horrible night, Dani became relatively mute, speaking mostly in ASL to those around her. In her eyes, she's even more imperfect, always a disappointment to Abuela. Her dreams are practically dust now.

Now in their senior year, Dani has fallen deeply in love with him, but there's no way he could ever feel the same about someone so broken as her. So she keeps her feelings as hidden as she can and steals his cat for nighttime cuddles, dreading the day they'll graduate and she'll never see him again.

  Leader of the Misfits, the group that took in Dani and Cesar when they were alone. She's like a second mother to Dani, and she's endlessly grateful for all of Blake's help. Though she and Noemi never told her, Dani is well aware that they took care of the men who hurt her. Dani isn't sure where she and Cesar would be without her.

  Dani's younger brother. For years, they thought they were the only survivors of the fire. He's a pain in the ass, but Dani loves him dearly and trusts him more than anyone else. Cesar has mastered the art of rocking her to sleep when she has nightmares.

  Dani's youngest cousin. She and Cesar found Madi, as well as their brother, when their cousin started college. As far as they know, only they four survived the fire. Though Madi never said as much, Dani knows they share a similar trauma that has them resort to ASL. They're now forever bonded in their pain.

  Dani and Cesar's baby brother. He's so grown up now, and Dani regrets that she missed watching him grow up. Thanks to his years with Madi, he already knows ASL. It didn't take him long to take a shine to Cassandra, which Dani adores watching. Might as well live vicariously through her brother!

  A fellow Misfit that Dani and Cesar found in an alley one day after she ran from home. Blake has essentially adopted her already, and she gets along with Andres. Cassie calls Dani her "castle," and while Dani isn't sure what that means, she adores her little princess and is happy to cuddle her whenever she needs it.

Much to his chagrin, the women in his life tend to be self-sacrificing, so he tries his best to protect them. He'd drop anything if Dani needed him. His uncle fostered a love of literature in him when he was young, a love that has turned into his college major. Even now, Cesar often dreams about his dear mother, whom he misses very much.

  Cesar's best friend. She was the one who found him and Dani on the streets and brought them to Blake's Misfits. They've been attached at the hip ever since. Although he's made it clear she means the world to him, she never tells him when she's hurting. It frustrates him endlessly. Noemi has a habit of holding his hand and calling him "cutie," which he's never quite understood but never been opposed to. He's completely unaware of how much of a doofus he is about their relationship.

  Cesar's current guardian. He considers her a second mother, even though she'll never compare to Penelope. Still, he appreciates all she's done for him and Dani, even trusting her to take care of his family when he's not around. She's teaching Noemi to take over for her someday, a day Cesar isn't sure he ever wants to see.

  Cesar's older sister. She took care of him for the first couple of years after the fire, but he's been looking after her since the night she stopped talking. He tries his best to keep all awful guys away from her, so he was skeptical of her roommate for a while. The last thing he wants is for her heart to break even more.

  Cesar's youngest cousin. They reunited by a twist of fate, and Cesar was surprised and saddened to find her speaking in sign. Thanks to Dani, he knew ASL already, but his heart hurt thinking he'd failed to protect another of the girls in his life. From now on, he's determined to keep Madi and Dani safe from everyone that might try to hurt them.

  Cesar and Dani's baby brother. His little man, Cesar is so happy his brother survived the fire. Having another guy around almost makes up for the years he thought Andres was dead… almost. Since he was so young when they were separated, Andres doesn't quite remember them, but he seems to love his older siblings all the same.

  The Misfits' princess. Cesar and Dani found her one day and brought her home, much like Noemi did with them. He adores the little girl, but probably not as much as Andres does. Cesar will always be Cassie's knight, but he knows he doesn't compare to her prince. Now how does his baby brother have more game than he does…

Maybe he can help her come back out of her shell.

He loves Penelope more than anything and declares his love for her every three minutes. His purpose in life is to make her happy and sing her praises daily. Losing their children in the fire was devastating, and it's been his life's goal to take care of Penny and keep her smiling as much as he can.

  Felipe's wife and the wind beneath his wings. They got married fairly quickly, mostly because her mother didn't want her having a baby out of wedlock, but how could Felipe ever be upset by this? He adores Penny with every cell in his body. She brings sunshine everywhere she goes, even when stressed. After the fire, Felipe did all he could to make sure his vida was safe. Nothing will ever be the same, but they can at least find some semblance of peace and happiness with each other.

  Felipe's beautiful baby girl and firstborn. Alba never gave her the attention she deserved, but Felipe knew she was the most beautiful girl in the world (next to Penelope). Her talent was overwhelming—and probably inherited partially from him. She was the child that brought him and Penny together in marriage. He misses her dearly.

  His baby. After years of trying and struggling to have a third child, Andres was their miracle boy. Felipe was so happy to see the smile Penny had whenever she held their baby. It broke her heart to lose him at so young an age, and by extensions, Felipe's. His loss still hurts, even years later.

  The eldest Mosquera triplet, Josefina tried to bridge the tension between her siblings and Alba with little success. With her power, she was always working to keep everyone in Encanto happy and healthy, even attending culinary school to improve her skills. Everything changed for her when she met Tomás. Before long, they were married with three beautiful children. After the fire, Josefina fell into a deep depression, and she thought she'd never step foot in a kitchen again. Tomás is the only reason she got through it.

  Josefina quite literally stumbled into Tomás Alvarez on the street, and they went on a date soon after. Tomás is endlessly adoring and sweet, and he's always been a wonderful, supportive father to their daughters. He and Alba never quite saw eye-to-eye, but Josefina couldn't imagine anyone else by her side. During her depression, Tomás was patient with her, sticking by her side when she couldn't get out of bed. She wouldn't be here without him, and she'll spend the rest of her life making it up to him.

  Josefina's eldest daughter. Alba always put so much pressure on dear Isobel to be perfect, but Josefina knew that she already was. Whenever her daughter needed to air out her troubles, she was waiting with a fresh plate of arepas. She tried to assure her daughter that she loved her no matter what, though she's not sure how successful she was. Now, she never will be.

  Her second daughter and Isobel's twin. Josefina always admired her physical and emotional strength, as well as her devotion to her sister. Alba couldn't get between them if she tried, and this always made Josefina smile. She misses spending time with her precious girl, who always made her feel stronger.

  Josefina's baby girl. Alba was always hard on her, especially since she did not receive a magical power to better Encanto. But Josefina did not care about this, focusing more on keeping her baby happy. She made plenty of arepas for her dear Madicella to comfort her. Tomás was especially protective of their youngest… if only it had been enough.

  Josefina's dear brother. He was always trying his best to appease their mother, but nothing he did ever seemed to be enough for her. Josefina knew his power took a toll, and it made her sad to see Alba take him for granted. When he was sent to jail, Josefina tried to distract their mother so Penelope could visit them, always regretting that she didn't do more to reach out to her brother.

  Josefina's darling sister. They were opposites in nearly every way, but it made their relationship stronger. She was the calm to Penny's magical storm, and Josefina tried her best to support her sister as much as she could. Though she could never quite be as harsh about Alba as Penelope was, deep in her heart, she knew their mother was wrong. Josefina wishes she could have helped Penelope fight back.

  Alison grew up heavily disliking her parents, and not just because they gave her the initials ABC. People in general aren't necessarily her favorite thing, but she can stand them more if they happen to like art. She's always been fascinated with the way people treat each other, and so she knew she wanted to go into sociology, perhaps to become a social worker and hopefully help children avoid caretakers like her parents. The last thing she expected was to get wrapped up in some magical family nonsense. Sweet.

  Ally's best friend. They met while working on a project together, and Ally learned ASL to better communicate with her. Madi gave her the nickname "Bear," and she takes the title very seriously, protecting Madi as best she can. Ally likes her as more than a friend, of course, and Madi clearly feels the same despite not admitting it. That's okay, though.
