"We go see Cassian, ask if he knows about any of this. No matter what his answer is, we'll see what Gallium has to say. He can't just be a pawn in this, there's no way a warlord would be a lesser place in this. He's had an army at his command."

"Right, that's very smart. We know from Balder that Gallium had a big part in this." Emmalia nodded slowly and moved her hand over his. "You ready to meet your father? It's the first time you've seen him since you died."

Callum noticed her hand on his, but he didn't react in anyway. The thought of seeing his father again scared him for some reason. Would he even talk to them? Why would he? Gallium had nothing but hate for Callum. "I hope I am." Was all Callum could say as he watched the scenery go by.

Callum nodded slowly and gave Emmalia's hand a gentle squeeze. "I love you, Emmalia. I can do anything as long as you're by my side."

Callum smiled softly. "We need to get married as soon as possible." He suddenly spoke. "Never know when we'll get another chance, with all of these conspiracies going on."

Callum had something bugging him for a while now, but he wasn't sure how he could word it. Especially since they weren't even married yet. So, as Callum did with most things he didn't know how to deal with, he tried to keep those thoughts from coming up. "I love you, Emmalia." He looked in the distance, and soon Cassian's castle peaked out of the trees. "We're almost there."

Emmalia adjusted her weaponry as they approached. "I love you too, Callum. Let's go set everything straight now." She now was worried about not just keeping her temper, but Callum's too.

Callum stayed close by Emmalia was the carriage was drawn into the castle walls after a thorough inspection from the guards. When their carriage parked, he went to get out, but turned and raised an eyebrow. "Hey, Em? You got a little..." He gestured to her chin where a substance resided.

Emmaia raised an eyebrows and wiped her chin, then blushed crimson and thoroughly wiped it off on her shirt sleeve. "Good now...?"

Callum looked her over for a minute before nodding. "All good." He blushed a bit and smiled before exiting the carriage. He walked with Emmalia towards the Kings throne room, and when they stepped in, Callum bowed to Cassian.

Emmalia bowed as well, both out of respect and requirement. Cassian smiled and said, "Miss Emmalia, I received your letter already - I hope this wasn't to come tell me personally, that would be unnecessary."

Emmalia replied, "No, your Highness, we come on much more dire circumstances."

"Mlord, we request an audience with Gallium as soon as possible. We believe he's in charge of a coup about to take place." Callum decided to skip formalities after a quick bow.

To this, Cassian wasted no time nodding his head. "Of course. He's where he normally is, will you require an escort or can I trust you enough not to get strangled by a prisoner?"

Emmalia replied, "M'Lord, he tried to kill my fiance from behind bars, you don't have to worry. If something happens, I won't be pulling punches." She looked up at Callum and shrugged a bit apologetically.

Cassian nodded slowly and waved his hand dismissively. "I assumed there'd still be those loyal to Gallium. I'm sorry for-" He stopped himself from talking, "I'm sorry, did I hear correctly? You said... Fiance?"

Callum felt a bit of blush come to his cheeks, but he didn't try and hide the smile that soon followed. "Yes, Mlord." He said, turning a bit to look at Emmalia.

Cassian stayed silent for a few moments, looking between the two. When he did speak, he had a knowing smirk. "Well well, congratulations. I'll be sure to send my best wine to your castle. You're free to see Gallium. Please return to me with any information you get."

Emmalia blushed and smiled. "Thank you, your Highness." They made their way down to Gallium's cell. Emmalia stood in the back to make sure she wouldn't interfere.

Callum had began to see spirits show up when they reached Gallium's cell, although there weren't nearly as many as there were in the Cross castle dungeon. He counted maybe three or four. He stepped up to Gallium's cell and peeked through the bars. For a moment, he struggled rather intensely with what to call him. Finally, Callum said, "Gallium." He paused before continuing, "Right now you're locked in a prison for life. You're not escaping this place. You can't get anything from trying to kill me - or from starting a coup. Please, help us and I can ensure you'll live in comfort behind these walls."

Gallium, slowly, turned to face him. "You have a lot of nerve to try and ask me for something after your wonderful care you've given me for raising you." His tone was dark and bitter. "I wouldn't be in this cell if it weren't for you and your ungrateful siblings, no doubt." He took a moment to breathe, calming down a bit. "Listen... I know you have Balder under arrest. The coup is dead in its tracks without him. He's the man you want - and that's all I'm saying. Give me what you promised now."

Emmalia waked up and said in a very dark tone she rarely used anymore, "Gallium, we'll ask them for you to have some comforts, but if we find out you lied in any way, I'm going to kill you. Slowly." She pulled away and left it up to Callum again.

Gallium didn't take Emmalia's words too well. He looked up at Callum and asked, "Who's this, your lapdog? Just here to be more intimidating than you? I thought I raised a man, not a backstabbing little boy who relies on others to threaten people for him." His tone was bitter and dark. Gallium leaned in before continuing. "I wished I left you where i found you, in that-" Gallium was cut off, however, as Callum suddenly drew his sword in a fit of rage, and attempted to swing at Gallium through the bars.

Emmaia reached out and pulled Callum back. "He's not worth it, Cal!" She wrapped her arms around him and held on tight. "Don't, don't do it, okay? I have a kind of immunity as a huntress, you don't." She tucked her head in the crook of his neck. "You don't have to defend me, or yourself. He's the one behind bars."
