That Darn Wood Elf

I
used to hear a simple song. That was, until you came along. Now in it's place is something new -- I hear it when I look at you."
Howdy! Round these parts, fellas call me Cinna. I was on this site about a year and some change ago, but my living situation suddenly changed and I had to sacrifice some hobbies in the process. But I'm back and I craving a juicy story. Something wholesome and full of adventures (think Studio Ghibli or maybe even Frieren type adventure) and I'm looking for a partner who loves writing multiple characters, crafting lore rich settings and following a long term plot with good ole character bonding.
Current Plot Cravings: (See more plots in )
A child is born with/given a gift from the gods, making them incredibly valuable. Fleeing from those who would exploit that gift, they're met with a variety of characters with their own motives for helping the child completely their quest.
The world is ending, everything is on fire but this time a god (or pantheon of gods) attempt to stage an intervention. They handpick mortals they believe to be fit to act as their champions and bring them together through a delicate web of fate.
Writing Style:
You can expect my responses to range from 500 - 1000+ words. I write in third person only and expect the same from you.
Response Time:
I do have ADHD that makes it hard for me to focus, even when I REALLY want to respond. I also go to school and work so I just ask for patience for IC responses. Please don't hound be for responses, it stresses me out. That being said, there is absolutely no rush to get a reply back to me. On average, I can sometimes respond a few times a day to up to once a week. Real talk is that if I feel I can't commit or I feel like our interests aren't vibing, I will let you know so that you can find a partner who can. You can tell me the same too! Promise I won't get mad.
Theme/Pairing Craving: (Craving all of them)
Found Family β’ Best Friends β’ LGBTQ+ Purely Platonic β’ Sapphic β’ Achillean β’ Nonbinary Rep β’ Transgender Rep Straight β’ Ace/Aro Rep β’ Siblings β’ Aunts/Uncles β’ Adoption Plotline β’ Mentor/Student (Platonic) β’ Slowburn β’ Instant Connection β’ Soulmates β’ Crushes β’ Unlikely Friends β’ Unlikely Parents β’ Grandparents β’ Pets
Location Preference:
I can do either PMs or Threads.
OC Preferences:
For face claims, I generally stick to art. But it's not like I'll turn you away if you use anime, realistic or any other medium of face claims. Character sheets are always appreciated so I can go back to reference things (and probably brainrot of your beautiful character) but it's not mandatory. Other than these two things, its pretty much free game.
Other expectations:
Please be friendly, pleeaaase, I really hate feeling I have to walk on on eggshells with. I'm pretty chatty OOC sometimes too, I like to get to bond with my partner but I absolutely respect boundaries and won't ask you any personal questions. Worst I can do, I send you playlists of our OCs or art of a scene I've been brainrotting over since we typed it out.
Let's get down to business. To defeat. The Huns. Here's some more specific cravings (parings, tropes, single scenes, etc) that I haven't been able to forget and would love to include. Not mandatory of course. The next tab will have some more fleshed out plots to get our inspiration going.

But what are we even going to do with our characters if we don't have a story to write them in? Here's some lose ideas, stepping stones that can be used to refine them. Because I, uh. UH. I love worldbuilding. I love placing characters in uncomfortable predicaments so they can grow. So what kind of trouble can we get our babies into:
Baseline Plots: (Starters)
β’ The villain (or prophesied villain) comes across the prophesied hero and... adopts them? Oh. Oof. Well that's not how it's supposed to go. But whether their destinies are connected through a magic curse or a cultural difference or by complete circumstance, the villain seems determined to break it.
β’ The world is ending, everything is on fire and a group of survivors happen to cross paths with each other in the most unlikely ways. As they process their separate traumas and eventually come to terms with the new state of the world, they come to realize that the only ones they can depend on are themselves.
β’ The world is ending, everything is on fire but this time a god (or pantheon of gods) attempt to stage an intervention. They handpick mortals they believe to be fit to act as their champions and bring them together through a delicate web of fate.
β’ A child is born with/given a gift from the gods, making them incredibly valuable. Fleeing from those who would exploit that gift, they're met with a variety of characters with their own motives for helping the child completely their quest.
β’ A group of characters is captured by a cult believing they are all pieces of a sleeping god who must unite so that a new world can be born. But our characters never asked to be the chosen ones. So they work together to escape, always on the run to avoid capture and to try and undo the cult's dark ritual made on them.
β’ A group of unlikely party members find themselves drawn to the same quest posted on a missives board, at first believing it to be a simple task of finding a set of dragon eggs. But when there's assassins trailing them and a shady noble's attempt to bring him the eggs instead, the adventurers wonder what they've been "really" paid to find.
"You saw through me, all this time
-- I'd forgotten people are kind.β
