Sherlock

"That actually kind of sounds nice..." Akari daydreamed a bit about the idea that Asa spoke about, being a PI wasn't too far off from what she had been doing already. Both as a cop and as a member of the Suits there for a little while. Her thoughts drifted to Zuki for a moment... maybe this was something the two of them could do together. Though as Asa said, it would definetly have to wait until things calmed down a bit, get some of the heat off their backs. "Good idea Asa. That's rare for you these days." Akari smirked and wrinkled her nose a bit at him as she jested.

Shadow and Emi were the first two to come back downstairs and join them at the table, Shadow of course instantly taking a jab at Asa. For a moment Akari was prepared to get mean but when she looked up and saw the look on the two mens faces she couldn't help but smile to herself. Their words may have been slightly crude but you could tell with a glance that he had been trying to make Asa feel better, and honestly it seemed to work. So instead of protecting her boyfriend she simply let the two of them take their small jabs at each other and took a seat in the chair that was held out for her.

Everyone had been through so much, today yeah but also in general. It was sort of surreal to be sitting here next to the man she was thrilled to call the love of her life with her best friend across the table from her with hers. Soon Zuki was joining the table with Daisuke in tow and upstairs she knew Crow was helping tend to Candy. They all went through some of the worst times of their lives but they all ended up happy? And safe for the most part. It was wild. While the others began to eat and chat about how Candy was doing, Akari lost herself in that thought. How absolutely insane their entire situation was when you really stopped to think about it.

Akari was mid drink of water when she finally burst out into a fit of laughing, so much so that tears began to well in the corners of her eyes. "I-I'm sorry. Oh my god." She nearly choked but after a few coughs she started laughing again. She reached across the table and suddenly took Emi's hands. "Imagine if our apartment hadn't burned. What would life have been? We wouldn't know these two idiots, they would probably still be brooding anti-social idiots. I would still be a cop, jaded. We would have never known we were sisters." She moved her line of sight over to Zuki and Daisuke, "Zuki already knew these guys but who knows if they would have ever gotten the opportunity to get that close. Without the mission your visions started Em who knows if Crow would have ever left the house and met Candy in person? It's just all insane."

Candy

Getting her past off her chest was both painful and so very nice, it felt so good to finally tell someone about it all despite how scared she was of the repercussions of Crow knowing about what she had done. It had been a plague on her since the day it all happened, a secret that ate away at her very soul. Candy would never change what she did, it was her right to do so and she saved herself and a child from a very dangerous situation, but that didn't make it hurt any less. She was fully prepared for him to be disgusted with her, if not for her actions then for lying to everyone for so long. But he wasn't.... instead came the same sweet voice she knew so well. The one that was so gentle and charming, the one that had always comforted her when she was sad, even from long before the two of them had ever seen each other in person.

Candy could hear the touch of annoyance in his voice and it actually made her smile slightly. His explanation of his love for her made her heart swell and her stomach turn into butterflies, ones that only got more insane when he continued and spoke about not caring about her ability to carry children. That they had options. That she would be a good mother. A lot of men would have looked down on her for needing to adopt or otherwise but Crow was simply upset she didn't value herself enough. It was so very... him. He reached into the shower stall without looking and managed to turn off the water as he continued, making his next words even clearer that they already were. He loved her. He wanted to spend his life with her. No matter what. It was enough to make her cry again, only this time for happy reasons. "I love you too Crow."

Candy dried off quickly with the towel behind the curtain and handed it back to him so she could take the clothes he offered. He was right, they were fairly large on her and she was drowning in them but much unlike the dress she had been wearing prior these were heavy in a good way. Like a hug. And they smelled like him.... She took an extra moment before opening the curtain to steel her nerves and prepare to look someone in the eyes after the day she had. Thankfully the first person she had to see was Crow, Hideki. The man she knew inside and out and now knew her just as well. The man that she loved more than anything, more than herself. One that after the traumatic story she just told was still smiling down at her like she was something precious. "I would love to get something to eat. Uh- Am I being annoying if I ask for a hug first though?"

Shadow;Kage

"Damn straight you do." Kage smirked back at Emi as she responded to Asa before turning to glare at the stupid man who dared to mention setting Emi up on any sort of date with someone other than himself. "And you, are you so out of it you forgot I am quite adept at killing a man or do you see yourself as invincible now?" He finished up with the fire and returned to the table with the others. Kage had to admit that what Akari had done with the groceries at hand was fairly impressive but he wasn't about to give Asa the satisfaction of knowing that so he simply thanked Akari for cooking instead. He poured a glass of wine for both himself and Emi and began to eat their meal. Who knew how long the others would take, especially with Crow still helping Candy out upstairs.

Zuki and Daisuke joined them, Zuki asked how Candy was doing and Emi was the first to pipe up. "I've never seen Crow that serious about anything in the entire time that I have known the man. He may be an idiot sometimes but I would wager that she's in good hands right now." As Kage spoke he glanced over to give Asa a reassuring look, he knew that he was close with the woman prior to their time in the Fixers and that he must he worried. "Again, I stress that Crow is an idiot, but a good man none the less."

A few minutes into their dinner Akari began hysterically laughing and Kage looked over at her with a raised brow, he had quickly learned better than to question her about anything and simply waited for her to explain herself. Though, when she began to he was slightly shocked that she was in such hysterics about that. It was strange to think about, if Emi had never come into his life Kage was near certain he would be dead. That showdown with his brother may or may not have happened but either way he would have either taken himself out or his brother would have finally gotten the last laugh. Hell who even knows if they would have been successful in taking down the Suits without the girls involvement? Akari paused and Kage felt this was a good chance to bring up what he and Emi had discussed. "I was hoping to tell everyone all at once but, this seems like a good time." He cleared his throat and spoke up awkwardly. It was hard to say this to the others, he wanted to! But it was still hard. Kage reached over and took Emi's hand under the table before continuing. "I want you guys to call me Kage from here on out. It's my real name, I mean I sure hope none of you thought Shadow was legal but. U. Yeah. That's it." He quickly shrank back in his seat a little, the tips of his ears were warm and he was slightly embarrassed by the whole thing.

Daisuke Tanaka

"Oh trust me you have plenty of redeeming qualities, but you might be correct that being sexy is the only good thing you have going for being a lawyers assistant." Daisuke winked at her as she kissed him on the cheek, "Seriously though. I really want you there to help me out so I appreciate it. Even if just for moral support, it's going to be hard enough going in there but you being so high on the totem pole for arrests is the exact reason I have to." He reached out to smooth over some of her hair and give her a kind smile. He wasn't going to let a single bad thing happen to her, she may have been stronger than him when it came to the actual physical protection but Daisuke was a damn good lawyer, he would figure this out for not only her but everyone.

"You're right, let's head down."

The two of them joined the others and learned that Crow was still upstairs with Candy. Asa was sitting upright at the table and seemed to be in better shape than when they had left him and Akari on the couch so that was good. All in all it seemed like everyone was okay. Well at least until Akari broke into a fit of laughter. "Aish woman, you okay?'" Daisuke chuckled as he looked across the table and watched as she interacted with Emi. Her words made her glance over at Zuki and give her another kind smile. Akari had a point. Sure Daisuke and Zuki crossed paths many times, he had fallen in love with her a long time ago now but had never had the confidence to do anything about it. Honestly he probably would never had if it wasn't for the way things shook out on that vacation they all took. Their fake wedding that quickly turned real. All of it.

Shadow spoke up next and Daisuke watched his longtime friend with a look that was a mix of surprised as impressed, Daisuke had known Kage's real name for a while due to their legal needs but had always said he wouldn't tell a soul. It was nice to see him open up to everyone now.

Sunny

There they were. All of their rag tag bunch (well, most of them.) gathered having a meal like a big old family. Ever since she could remember it was just Emi, then Akari and Emi. They never had this many friends, it was just so surreal to her. Her thoughts quickly were pushed to the back of her mind as Akari burst into her laughing fit. Emi couldn't help but smile to herself, it was nice to see her so at ease once again ... Even if she did seem a little crazy. Once she spoke up however, she couldn't help but feel her cheeks heat and a bright smile formed on her face. "I don't think these two would have fared well without us. Guess my visions were finally good for something." The visions didn't seem so random anymore, everytime she had one they were able to help someone. Finally she felt like she was good for something other than a gossip column.

Not too long after Akari finally stopped laughing she heard Kage speak up next to her and she turned her attention to him, lacing her fingers with his as she tried her best to support him. He looked embarrassed but she was so proud of him. "Good job." Emi whispered quietly to him as she gently squeezed his hand underneath the table after he shrank back. Everything felt like it was finally falling into place, in a GOOD place rather. Everyone was free to be happy and enjoy their life. Sure, they all had some hurdles facing them, but they seemed less severe than the hurdles they had just finished. They could do anything, either as a team or on their own. "Good, now I don't have to worry about calling you Kage in front of everyone. I almost slipped a few times." Emi chimed in before standing up to pour everyone a glass a wine.

One Week Later

Remember how we talked about those hurdles? Emi had thought she would get arrested. No, she swore she'd be arrested! The day after killing her dad to save Asa the cops got ahold of her and asked her to come down to the police station and she swore that they'd cuff her there. Not exactly. They sat her down, apologized and told her about her father's death. They didn't even consider her to be a suspect! The security tapes weren't working, no one had seen any of them in there let alone do the actual murder. Kage was right. The police just needed to check everyone's alibi's, so everyone took their turn to confirm where they were and who they were with. Kage was the last to go and then they were free to go.

One thing led to another and Kage didn't go home with them. Daisuke and Akari had to pretty much drag Emi out of the station or she would have fist fought someone. There was no reason to arrest him! Suspicious behavior, traffic tickets, stupid trumped up charges to put the blame on someone! He wasn't even in the house. Daisuke tried to reassure her that they wouldn't be able to keep him long, they'd get this all cleared up and he'd be out soon. So Emi sat on eggshells the whole week, talked to him when she could, and she took care of both legal business and dealing with her father's affairs. Cremated, no viewing or funeral, she couldn't take any of that. There was an obituary in the paper and that was it. Emi was left everything, the house, the Sato name, he didn't leave Akari anything. It made her hate him even more than before.

FINALLY it was the day Kage was getting out. Emi had hardly slept she was so worried about him. Hearing his voice say he was OK was one thing, but seeing him out of jail was a whole different story. "Daisuke's sure taking his sweet time in there." Emi tapped her foot impatiently as she paced the sidewalk outside the jail with Zuki, waiting as Daisuke went in and got him out. There was no evidence to pin the murder on, Daisuke took care of the traffic tickets, and there was no reason to hold him anymore. Nervously she smoothed out her white sweater and black jeans, choosing not to embarrass him with one of her bright outfits.

Luna

"He'll be out soon. Trust me, I've been in the joint and it's a long process." With a small yawn Zuki glanced over at the impatient Emi and ran a hand through her long black hair. Having Kage in jail sucked, Zuki was 1000 percent sure that she would have been the one framed for something. Daisuke alibied her and they didn't seem to object the alibi. She was pretty sure if she had any tickets like Kage did they'd have detained her for something, but Kage was the unlucky one of the day. Hey, at least he was only locked up for a week? She was sure he made long lasting friends, perhaps even a few penpals. The thought made her smirk.

The week was long. Everyone was questioned, everyone had to account for their whereabouts, it was probably all new to the others but it was a routine for the frequent flying Zuki. She spent the week with Daisuke at his office filling in as a Secretary, doing everything she could to help him figure out what to do for Kage. At the same time Zuki was having to figure out what she was going to do with her life. Not murdering people, not intimidating people, life was boring without it. Phones, appointments, research, it was dull and monotonous. It was not what she wanted to do with her life. Working with someone wasn't bad though, she liked Daisuke but she hated his line of work, and she liked working with Akari. She couldn't kill anyone anymore, Akari didn't want to go back to law enforcement ... Maybe they could come up with something. It'd have to wait until Kage out so they could finally relax and focus on other things.

"Oi, look killer. They're coming, so chill." Zuki was dressed in her usual crop top black turtleneck, black pants, and combat boots. Lately she had wanted to move out of the Fixer's and into her own place, but things had been so busy this week she hadn't got an opportunity to talk with Daisuke about it yet. It'd be their first place together as an actual married couple, it was a wild thing to think about. With Kage sprung from the joint she could finally bring it up to her husband ... She just didn't know when.

Crow

As soon as Crow hugged Candy everything felt right again. He hugged her tightly and for a long time before he escorted her downstairs, and for the first night in a while they were all able to just breathe a sigh of relief. Things were going to be so much better here on out. Shadow came out and told everyone his real name, Crow had absolutely no intention on telling anyone his thought. He was Crow, that was his identity. The only person that got to know who he was was, well, Candy. He knew her name and she knew his, that was it.

The next day things took a slight turn. Kage got arrested (Crow's money was on Zuki), and it was a full team effort to get him out. Crow did some digging, found whatever information Daisuke needed, and that was it on Crow's part. The rest of his time was spent with Candy and making sure she was OK, making sure she was comfortable and had what she needed. His mother's arrest was announced but that was pretty much it. Crow had already transferred all her money into all of their secure accounts and now she was in jail for the rest of her days. The Spades were shut down indefinitely, and that was that. Sure, another group might pop back up one day but they could deal with that when it happened. For now the Fixer's could retire.

And to celebrate their retirement Crow popped the question with a ring pop that matched her hair. He was looking online at rings and it reminded him of her. Of course he had ordered a real ring but that would have taken a while to get, the pop was only temporary. Crow cooked (he ordered in) for Candy one night while the others were busy, had a candlelight dinner, and pulled out the ring pop. He had suggested they run away and get married at a seaside chapel just the two of them, though in reality he had already booked everything and spared no expense.

That was how the two spent the rest of their week. Married to the love of his life the first day they arrived, she deserved the best life possible and Crow was going to do that. The finest suite with a balcony to see the ocean, a beautiful wedding, and an intimate and lovely week. They hiked (exhausting, truly), they swam, they explored the town and just had fun together. It was the happiest time in his life. As much as he loved living with everyone and they'd always be welcomed there, Crow honestly wished that they could just live by themselves. Let her decorate to her heart's content, fill the garage with her cars, spend their days gaming, exploring, having fun.

The thought of them on their own made Crow smile as the driver pulled up the driveway to the house. "Think we should just turn around and go back?" Crow looked down at Candy with a small grin, his arm wrapped gently around her as they rested in the back seat. "Just kidding, I know that Daisuke said that Kage would be out today. Is it too soon to be making jail jokes? 'Cuz I'm gonna do it anyway." Crow brought her hand to his lips before he stood out and retrieved their bags from the trunk. "Home sweet home! Oh, wait. I have to carry you over the threshold. Come here." Quickly Crow sat down their bags on the grass and stretched out his arms as he motioned Candy to come to him. "C'mon Miss Candy- Wait, do I call you Missus Candy now?"

Doc

Akari's outburst at the table was enlightening. Their apartment burning down was probably the best thing that had ever happened to him, and that was an awful thing to say. He remembered the ring, he remembered fixing it and wondering why the hell he cared so much. He recalled all the memory's with Akari and he felt so blessed all of a sudden. Who knew Emi's crazy ramblings would have actually led to something good? Without them they'd have never found out the truth about The Suits, their families, who they really are and what makes them, well, them. Asa knew who and what he was and he was never going back to that. Akari was his future, he wanted to build their life to be something they were proud of. He wanted a legacy with her.

Going to bed that night was rough. Withdrawal symptoms were no joke but luckily he had been through worse; last time it nearly killed him, this time it was just miserable. Thankfully Akari was there the whole time with him. He took the rest of the week off of work to try and recover, he was unimaginably sore from all the needles jabbed into his arms and legs. All he wanted was to spend time with Akari since he wasn't much use getting Kage out of jail anyways, that was a Daisuke and Crow deal. They spent the week watching movies, relaxing, getting take-out, and just staying in with each other. He wanted to thank her somehow for being so amazing and he only knew of one way.

"Don't take off your blindfold until I say, and don't peek." Asa's playful tone spoke the words as he led Akari into a decently sized office space, a black blindfold covering her eyes so she couldn't see through. As soon as Asa was able to move his arms and hands properly he was able to lease a prime location office space for Akari, whether she used it for a PI business or a boutique, he didn't fucking care. Asa just wanted to show Akari he supported her in her endeavors and her career, it was what made her happy. There was plenty of space for a front desk, waiting area, conference area, and whatever else she needed for a business.

Asa let go of Akari and quickly moved in front of her so he could drop on one knee quietly. He smoothed out his navy suit and tie, pulled out the familiar looking ring box, and took a deep breath. "OK, OK. Take off your blindfold."

Sherlock

"Okay okay!" Akari chuckled as she stumbled slightly over the doorstep of wherever Asa was taking her. She was so glad to see him in higher spirits after the most recent dramatic events. The two of them had taken the week after everything to simply decompress, just spending time with each other which was honestly amazing. Akari made sure to take time to be Emi's support when needed, everyone seemed to be getting off without an issue from the police, except Kage. But beyond that Akari spent her days doing nothing but relaxing. That is until today, out of no where this man was full of energy and all gung ho that they needed to leave the house despite Akari's significant amount of whining. Honestly Akari had no clue what he was up to, there were no hints or slip ups, suddenly she was just told to get dressed and that they were leaving.

Akari stood in silence for a few moments with her arms across her chest, waiting for his okay to remove the blindfold. "Finally." She laughed and moved her hands to the black material covering her eyes and pulled it away, blinking for a few times at the light before she spoke, "Where are we?" Then her eyes landed on the man in front of her. The handsome man in a nice suit. The one on one knee with a ring box out in front of him.

There was almost instant tears, Akari didn't know how to explain how happy she was but god damn she was about to burst. Ever since she ruined his last proposal byu walking out on him, she wouldn't have blamed him if he never asked again. It didn't even take her another full second to fly into his arms, knocking him over with the force and leaving the two of them laying on the floor. "Oh my god, I'm ruining another proposal aren't I?" Akari sniffled and half laughed as she moved to transfer her weight off of him and sit up. "Christ, I'm even ugly crying. Dammit."

Candy

Things got a lot better quickly for the entire group, Daisuke was able to handle almost everything seamlessly in court and the only thing that any of them got pinned on them was Kage and honestly considering everything he had done in the past, a week in jail for some minor infractions should have them all jumping for joy considering what it could have been. After that, Candy and Crow got whisked away into another whirlwind, only this one was of their own doing.

Crow's suggestion of running off and getting eloped was insane, but it was them. It was relaxed and simple and private. Not that Candy didn't love their friends but this way was just so much more comfortable for her, no pressure. Surprisingly Crow's suggestion was much more of a plan that she once thought, it seemed he had everything ready to go. It was honestly impressive as hell for a man who commonly forgot to grocery shop. The rest of the week was just as amazing as the first day, they got to spend their days having fun together and simply doing anything they wanted. It had been a long time since they had been able to let loose like that.

Now a week later they were returning to the house, married. Happy. Mildly scared of the scolding they would get for not telling anyone what they were doing. Looking up at the house as they came up the driveway was mildly bittersweet, she was excited to see everyone but also would miss the alone time. During their get away Candy had come up with a thought about their living situation but wasn't sure how Crow would take it. Candy was ready for the two of them to have their own space but, this home would always belong to the Fixers. When the others all moved out she was sure it would feel big and cold, even with all the happiness her and Crow shared. It just would be too differed. They had plenty of money... and Candy wanted to let the bar go, now that she knew what happened to her parents it felt okay to say goodbye to the place. That meant they could go anywhere in the world, find a place and make it their own. Maybe make the Fixer's home more of a vacation home for their crew. But it was Crow's home in all reality and it was hard to bring up.

"While I would LOVE that, we have to face the music eventually." Candy giggled in the back seat and reached over to squeeze his hand. "It is too soon, but no one would expect any less from you." She laughed softly which turned into an eruption of giggles when he swept her up into his arms. "We actually should probably think that through. Maybe we should make our own new last name! I just-" She blushed a bit, they were already married but it was still fresh and they hadn't done any name change paperwork yet due to the whole situation they both had with their real names, "I would like to be able to share your last name."

Daisuke Tanaka

"I'm going to be honest here and say that I never saw this day coming." Daisuke let out a laugh as he threw his arm over Kage's shoulders, the image of the man coming out from the door that held the holding cells sure was a sight to see. No one else here knew, but Kage should probably be behind that door until the end of forever, but even with that being said Daisuke thought he would never see the day that Kage actually got arrested, let alone for some minor shit like this. "Now let's get you home yeah?" He chuckled again and pulled Kage in for a hug he was sure the man didn't actually want.

The two of them made their way outside and found Zuki and Emi waiting patiently where Daisuke had left them. Well Zuki was waiting patiently, Emi looked like she was about to explode if they had taken a single second longer. Daisuke gave both women a wide grin and a big over dramatic wave as they moved closer. Soon enough they had crossed the entrance and down the stairs of the jail to where both girls were standing. "Look who's out of the slammer!" He shook the white haired male by the shoulders before finally letting him go and moving away from him to avoid the tackle that was sure to come from Emi any second now.

Daisuke moved over to Zuki and tossed an arm around her now instead, gently rubbing her upper arm with his thumb. "Well the big part of the day is done. Now what?" His phone chimed in his pocket and he pulled it out, his eyebrows raising at a text from his assistant. He had been working on a few different things, finding a house, planning a wedding, looking into jobs for Zuki. All of the above. This one was related to the first of the projects, it seemed they had come up with a list of a few homes that checked all of the requirements that he had set for a new home. Somewhere quiet, calm, relaxing. But still close enough to the city so they could both get jobs they liked, Daisuke could practice law anywhere and honestly at this point they really didnt need the money but not working would drive both of them insane. Plus they didn't know what Zuki planned on for a job so being close to options was a must.

Kage

Letting everyone know his name was such a high and it was followed by such a low. Being arrested was something that he had coming for a long time now, he was naïve to think it never would, but being arrested for something so fucking stupid was honestly more annoying than if he had been caught and arrested for something real. Oh well, he couldn't complain much, Daisuke was able to work his magic and within a few days they had reduced the charges and dropped investigation on others and Kage learned he would be released at the end of the week. Which was good because as much as he hated to admit it, he was loosing his mind without Emi nearby. They were able to talk but time was limited and he wasn't allowed many visits. It was aggravating to think how much of a hold this girl had on him but he wouldn't have it any other way.

When the day came for him to be released he was basically bursting at the seams, pacing, complaining, pacing some more. Finally Daisuke showed up and it was time for him to leave. "You sure are just as annoying as I remember, I was hoping my time behind bars would make me miss you but here I am already wanting to punch you." Despite his mean words Kage was smiling over at his idiotic friend, taking his own arm and patting the man on the back as the two of them left the jail.

The moment they stepped outside Kage spotted Emi at the bottom of the steps standing near the car and it took everything out of him to not start running down the damn stairs. However the moment they reached both girls and Daisuke moved away from him, Kage was the first to move, quickly stepping up to Emi and wrapping his arms around her tightly. "Christ I missed you." It had only been a week but it felt like so much longer. Usually he wasn't one for much PDA but right now he didn't care at all, he lifted her up and pressed his face into her neck as he hugged her, taking in every little bit.

Sunny

Finally. As soon as she seen Kage and Daisuke at the top of the stairs she was able to breath. He was safe, he was here. The next thing she knew was they were in front of her, and suddenly she was being swept off of her feet in a tight, warm hug. Instantly she embraced him and felt tears well in her eyes. This week had been SO hard. She had Akari, Daisuke, she had all the support she could as for but it wasn’t the person she needed. As silly as it sounded Emi needed Kage. Sure, he was crabby and stubborn at times, but he was the one person she wanted to spend her life with. He was her confidant, and having to do this whole week away from him was just torture.

“I missed you terribly, I was going crazy without you. You’re ok, right?” One of her hands gently pet his messy white hair as tears stung her eyes, a tear or two running down her porcelain pale cheek. Quietly she sniffled as she fought back full blown crying. His hug, his voice, he was definitely here and she wasn’t dreaming. Never before did Emi really believe she’d find someone she could live this much, she thought it was an emotion made up for fairy tales. Yet here she was, her heart feeling like it was about to explode from happiness just from being with him. They loved each other for who they were regardless of their quirks.

After a long moment she realized they were still in front of Zuki and Daiuske and her whole face lit up like a Christmas tree. Emi was affectionate when they were by themselves but she was incredibly shy in front of others. “I, um, may have set up something at home. Crow and Candy should be home by now, and Asa and Akari should join us later. Just some food and time to decompress with everyone? I know this week has been hard for most of us.”

“Hey, hey, hey. You kids need to get a room. There are some innocent eyes here.” As soon as the odd pairing embraced Zuki and Daisuke moved to her side she reached over to eyes with a small smirk. “Good job on busting him out.” Her hand fell from his eyes and wrapped around his waist as she gave him a small hug. “What now? Probably go home?” Now that Zuki didn’t have a job she didn’t feel motivated to go anywhere. Where would she go? Being unemployed was killing her. Daisuke was this big named successful lawyer and she was an ex assassin, she had to aspire to be something… She just didn’t know what.

The chime of Daisuke’s phone made her arch a brow curiously up at him. He seems to have something going on that he wasn’t telling her. What was he hiding? Kage had been locked up, Asa had been busy, and Crow was MIA all week. His assistant, maybe? Before she could ask though Emi started talking about the welcome home party she had been planning. “Yeah. Right. Let’s get home.” Quickly Zuki slipped the keys out of Daisuke’s pocket, walking to the drivers side of the car this time. “Get in ladies.”

As she climbed into the drivers seat and adjusted it she couldn’t help but take a deep encouraging breath. She could do this, she didn’t understand why she was so intimidated on bringing up moving. Maybe she was scared of him saying no for some reason… he could do so much better than her and that ate her up inside every day. “Kage now that you’re free do you think you and Em are going to look for your own place together?” Ok, it was addressing her husband but it at least brought up the topic.

The moment Akari started tearing up Asa felt like he was going to vomit. Putting himself out there in able to propose the first time took all of his confidence, he had absolutely no idea what he’d do if she turned him down again. This time they were in a better place though, right? Almost instantly after the waterworks started she was tackling him and sending him flying to the ground. His arms wrapped around her protectively to make sure she didn’t hurt, and as he did he felt so much better. It was like all of his fears finally melted away, she wasn’t running away this time.

All he could do was laugh quietly, an odd sight most days for the cool demeanor man. “Ruined it? No, no. That was much better than the alternative.” He shot her a small grin as the two of them slowly sat up off of the floor, though in his old age he did it with a small groan. “I personally love your ugly cry. 100 out of 10 points.” As Asa spoke he felt his cheeks heat up, quickly picking up the ring box that had fallen with them. His other hand reached out to wipe the tears off of her tear stained face.

“Akari,” he pulled the ring from the box and slipped it onto her ring finger of her left hand. “I love you. You’re the one person I want to walk life with. You deserve the world, you deserve to be loved and I want to provide all of that to you. This ring is a symbol of my love for you, it’s my promise to do all I can for you. This building is me pushing you to get out and find your passion, be your own boss. Or just do whatever with it, as long as you’re happy. Let’s build a life together. Will you marry me?”

Crow

“Well, what do you want to be called?” Crow blinked down at Candy a couple times as they crossed the threshold of the house. While Crow used his actual identity and birth certificate to make sure their marriage was real, he also never intended on using that name. And, well, Crow didn’t use a last name. But for Candy he’d do anything. “Something cute, right?” Crow continued to walk further into the house while carrying Candy bridal style, seemingly lost in though. He didn’t even notice the over the top “Welcome Home” sign, the balloons, streamers. “Aiko? Mr. and Mrs. Crow and Candy Aiko? I can get all the documents made in no time, court seals and all. How’s that sound?”

Gently he placed Candy down on her feet and placed their bags near them. It took more than a minute but he finally realized the house was empty and decorated for what he assumed to be a welcome home party. “So, uh, I was thinking. We can leave this house as our home base, but how about we look for a home? Anything you like, I’ll make sure it’s safe for us. Hell, anywhere you want. Or we could travel? I just, I think we should get away from everyone for a while, just the two of us. We’re just a call away if they need us and it’s time for us to enjoy life as a married couple.”

If you would have told Crow a few years ago he would be married to miss Candy he’d obviously agree because they were a perfect match, but he also never thought he’d leave to meet her. Now he got to be with her for the rest of his life. Now they were a family.

Sherlock

Akari couldn’t believe this was real, if it wasn’t for the taste of salt in her mouth from her tears she would have asked Asa to pinch her. Hell she still might! As they sat up and Asa began speaking again, she didn’t take her eyes off his face. Not even as he slid the ring on her finger. She didn’t dare look away, this was a memory she wanted burned into her brain forever. “Asa…” She sighed happily and used the back of her hand to quickly wipe away her tears before finally responding to him. “Of course I will.”

“I love you more than anything. I never thought I would get married, hell I never thought I’d be in a real relationship. If I hadn’t met you I don’t think it would have ever happened for me, because you’re it. You’re the only person for me.” Akari smiled, finally glancing down at the ring before leaning over and planting a soft kiss on his lips. “We should get off the floor though. People are looking.” She pointed to the windows that faced the sidewalk at the front of the building Asa had brought her to. People passing by constantly glancing in at the couple.

Akari stood to her feet and reached out to help up her new fiancé. “This place looks nice Asa.” She looked around a bit before snaking her arms around his waist and looking up at him. “Thank you. Not just for the building but in waiting for me to figure it out, believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you.” She knew the two of them should probably head home to welcome Kage and join in the little party Emi had planned but god did she want to just leave here and go straight to their loft and start planning an insanely amazing wedding that she suddenly wanted despite always thinking she wasn’t that type of girl. Turns out she was.

Candy

“I love that.” Candys face lit up at the name that Crow came up with, it was so cheesy but it was them. Both of them wanted to move forward and leave their past behind them, she loved that they were going to do it together. “Mhm.” She nodded to him as he set her down, taking a moment to fix her clothes so they weren’t all bunched up anymore after being picked up. The next thing out of his mouth however caused her to blink, turning to look at him with wide eyes. “Are you reading my mind?”

Without another thought Candy pulled out her cell phone and instantly sent him an invite to an app she had been using to look at different houses and areas to live in. It was a wide range, the warm beachy areas they had vacationed in, places in the city, houses in the middle of nowhere. The last one was really more because the houses were pretty, the two of them loved modern amenities and food delivery too much to be far from the city. “I-uh.” Candy blushed a little, “I’ve been looking a bit. Maybe we can make some appointments to look at some this week!”

Candy stopped and looked around a bit, “Looks like we got here first. Damn. I was kind of hoping to show off when we got here.” She laughed and walked further into the house before texting Emi for an ETA. It was insane to her still that this was her life. She went from the girl with no family and no friends to being surrounded with all her favorite people and married to the love of her life. She couldn’t be happier.

Kage

“Im ignoring you.” Kage growled slightly at Zuki as she commented, but ultimately did finally let Emi down so she was standing on her own two feet, though he didn’t move far from her. “I’m fine, trust me besides not being able to see you that was one of the easiest things I’ve done. Really.” He patted her head gently and gave her a wide grin, he probably looked insane to anyone else, the outside of a jail wasn’t exactly the happiest of places to be, but he didn’t care.

Zuki mentioned getting back to the house and Emi clued him in on what was waiting back at home. Honestly he expected nothing less of her, it would have been strange if she had done nothing knowing her. “Sounds good. I could use some food that tastes like something other than wet cardboard.” He chuckled and held the door open for Emi before climbing in the back besides her. As they drove he tossed an arm around her shoulder and watched out the window. That is until Zuki spoke up from the drivers seat.

“I actually thought about that a lot. I-I don’t think I want to keep any of the money from my jobs. But I do know that without it I’m literally broke. So I was thinking about trying to find a place and buy it cash, take a modest savings account and then leave the rest for you guys and Crow.” Kage said it simply before suddenly realizing he should probably ask the woman besides him if that worked with her. He did plan to live with her and spend their lives together after all. “I just mean , all that money was earned by Shadow. I don’t want that sort of cash in my pocket. But I also want you and I to be comfortable, there’s no reason to struggle just because I don’t want the cash. I could even take it as a loan from Crow and pay it back. I just- I want to move forward with you, not live in the past.” Kage smiled honestly and moved his free hand across his body to wrap around hers that sat in her lap. “Though I do know we have to find a place within driving distance to Akari.”

The car pulled up at the house and he stepped out of the car first to open the door again for Emi. “What about you guys Zuki? I mean it’s not like you have any reason to stay here. Daisuke had like three houses before the Fixer money even became a thing.”

Daisuke Tanaka

“Kage every bit of that money is deserved. You don’t have to look at it that way.” Daisuke looked back at Kage using the rear view mirror from where he sat in the passenger seat. He could understand where the guy was coming from but seriously? If they hadn’t done what they did the last few years, that money would have done much worse things. He listened as the man went on in the back seat and tossed a glance over to Zuki, he wondered if part of her felt the same way. “Seriously, imagine what the guys we caught would have done with all those funds if we hadn’t stopped them. It’s just like a salary.” Daisuke shrugged and sat back in his seat. He knew his words didn’t count for much here but he meant it. The money wasn’t blood money, even though it may have seemed as such.

They arrived back at the house and Kage and Emi headed in first, leaving Daisuke to grab Zuki before they headed in from the garage. “So, did you ask Kage about that because you’ve been thinking about it as well? Because he’s right. I do have some other properties, though they’re not amazing. A couple of apartments and a loft in America. And a boat. But those are all bachelor pad things or shit I stay in for travel rather than hotels. We can do whatever you want.” Daisuke grinned down at her, wrapping his arms loosely around her waist and pulling her close. “Though I do have to say, I am recently discovering a love of hotels. For some reason they hold a good feeling in my heart, maybe we go buy one of them bad boys and get married again in a new room every day.”

Luna

The past year did not go exactly how Zuki anticipated. Actually, it went the exact opposite. It was wildly known throughout their social circles how much Daisuke and Zuki liked nice things, and they frequently liked their nice things staying nice. Kids were nice from afar but honestly never something in her game plan for the future. She liked their new living life in the moment, traveling, romantic lifestyle. Daisuke agreed, yet another thing that made him the perfect partner. So when Crow and Candy asked Zuki to become their surrogate she was surprised. She didn’t even know what it was, but after it was explained to her she agreed. She was just carrying their baby, that didn’t sound awful.

If she knew that she’d be almost two weeks overdue, miserable and unable to drink to numb the pain she wouldn’t have agreed. Their first appointment with invitro she ended up pregnant with twins. Twins. Zuki was always an underweight, toned lanky woman, her body would struggle with a normal pregnancy. By the second trimester she was completely over it. It was for Candy though, so she tried not to bitch too much. The little people inside of her needed to get the fuck out though.

On top of all that they had recently moved into a home they had built on the outskirts of the city. She entrusted the design to Daisuke so long as she got a ‘play’ room with all of her weapons. Pregnant as fuck, going through a huge move, starting a new career, and decorating the house was enough on her plate, she was sure anything Daisuke picked out would be nice.

Today was the first big wedding of their ragtag group. Instead of eloping like the other married couples in the group Akari and Asa chose to have an actual wedding. Probably more so Akari, but either way they decided to have it in the brand new upscale hotel Daisuke recently opened. It had a grand ballroom. A lawyer with a hotel, he really was one of a kind. Zuki was presently sitting in the bridal suite on a fancy couch stacking starbursts on her huge baby belly. While everyone was having a meltdown over the DJ canceling last minute she was just focusing on remaining calm, they had to have at least one calm person in the group. “Take a breath Akari, Emi’s out there figuring it out. These little hellions can sense your emotions.” Just as she said that one of the little fuckers kicked the starbursts off of her stomach. “See?”

If Kage wanted to give up his money she wasn’t going to argue with him, she knew Crow would keep it safe if he ever changed his mind. Did he earn it? Yes, but she understood the sentiment. He was a new man and he wanted a new life. Plus, Emi was left the Sato estate; the generational wealth, all of the properties, they would literally never want for anything. However figuring out a career for him was a bit more difficult than they thought. Obviously he could work security somewhere, but then one day they were at their favorite cat cafe and noticed it for sale. After some calls and some paperwork they were now the proud owner of a Cafe and 8 cats. Pretty much the dream.

The cafe came with employees so all the two of them really had to do was pay bills, promote the cafe, and make sure the cats were adopted by the right home. Now that everything was set and done Emi really wanted to travel with Kage and Gus Gus, but it seemed he didn’t have any interest. He was busy burying himself in the work, making sure it was successful, making sure everything was perfect. Emi really appreciated him and all of his hard work, but she missed him. They never went out much to begin with but now it seemed the never went out. They hardly spent any time at home, or alone with just the two of them. Everyone in their group was married or getting married, they were starting families, starting their careers like Zuki and Akari, building their dream homes. They did move in a nice home close to the cafe, she wasn’t picky about where she lived at all so it didn’t matter to her. Still…she wanted to travel, to go on adventures with him, marry him, try to have a baby again. None of that seemed like it was on his to-do list, and to be honest it put a rift in the couples relationship. Maybe Kage wanted someone better than Emi?

Thankfully Emi could hide her depression by burying herself in her sisters wedding as the maid of honor. Everything had to be perfect for the big day and Daisuke’s hotel was just that. They had everything planned, they had a complete schedule, and they had everyone they wanted there. Emi was busy running around making sure everything was set and ready to go when she got the news about the DJ. Emi panicked, called literally every DJ in the city and came up with nothing. Hence why Emi was in the grooms suite. She was all done up pretty for the wedding. Her shoulder length maroon hair was wavy and flawless, her makeup on point, and the dress hugged her petite figure perfectly.

“Crow we literally have no option other than you or DJ. You know the equipment, right? If not you’ll learn. Great, you’re hired. Thanks a bunch.” Emi was leaving no room for the man to refuse.

Crow

Had it really been a year already? Time flew by when you’re busy making a life and not on the computer 24/7. When Candy proposed the idea of having Zuki be the surrogate he was a little off put. Any offspring of Zuki’s would be born with a shotgun in their hand, the thought terrified him. Candy was quick to explain that it would be her egg instead of Zuki’s, that it would 100% be their baby, just Zuki as a human incubator pretty much. That got him on board. Zuki agreed to help it. Everything was falling into place for them to have a family. And with their ridiculous amount of money they pointed some in to invitro, it didn’t take more than one appointment.

Finding out it was twins made Crow pass out at the appointment. One child was enough, two children at one time? Good thing there was two of them and they didn’t work. Candy sold the bar and the pair focused their energy on finding a house. It was on the beach about an hour from the city so it wasn’t too far, and it was spacious for kids, guests, everything. Pool, gym, it checked off everything on their list! It was their home, a home they’d build a family in. It was a fresh start for the both of them, Mr. and Mrs. Crow and Candy Aiko.

“Do I look like a DJ to you?” Long, teal tipped hair, always has his headset attached? Kind of, but that wasn’t the point. It was clear Emi wasn’t taking no for an answer though, and the last thing he needed was the wedding to stress out either Candy (or Zuki). “Fiiiiine, but only because I’m the dad of the group and I need to look out for you kids. What would you do without me? Tell my lady to meet me at the booth so we can figure it out together.” Crow let out a heavy sigh and stood from the couch. He looked in the mirror and adjusted his tie before he waved Emi out of the way of the door. He absolutely had no idea what he was going to do but he was quick at learning, especially if Candy helped him out.

What a fucking whirlwind this year had been. Asa returned to work finally and life just took off from there. Everyone moved out of the fixers home. First it was Akari and Asa back to the apartment. It was nice, but truthfully it was just a place he stayed. It didn’t feel like home, he wanted a home with her. Something forever. Unfortunately Asa had impeccable taste and refused to settle for the best. Every detail had to be perfect, so the construction of the house took much longer than initially anticipated. On top of all that Akari wanted a wedding. He did too, only he wanted somewhere away from the others, just the two of them. She wanted a big wedding though, so a big wedding she would have.

Everything sort of fell perfectly in place? Living with Akari was easy and he looked forward to waking up every day. Daisuke with his luxury hotel opening, Zuki should of had the babies (way to fuck up the plans Zuki). Of course things were looking too good, of course the goddamn DJ canceled. He could only feel how stressed Akari was and he found himself pacing the floor. He had spent the night in the hotel to avoid seeing her during the night, finished up his vows, and had a drink with the boys. Maybe he should have been hunting down everyone making sure they were ready.

“Crow; shut the hell up. Just do the damn job.” Asa let out a heavy sigh and tapped his food impatiently. He was in a sleek navy suit, his hair slicked back, he hoped he looked good enough to stand by Akari’s side. He was fucking sweating in anticipation to see her again. Quickly he pulled out his phone to shoot Akari a quick text. Crows going to DJ, send Candy to supervise please. Send. Sigh. Crisis averted.

Candy

“Ooo! Fiesty!” Candy giggled as she listened to Zuki moan and groan, her eyes widening slightly as the candy went flying. “I’ll pick them up ! Don’t worry!” Instantly she moved to pick up the colorful little squares from the floor before handing then back to Zuki. Across the room Emi was reasoning with Crow while Akari had breakdown number 37 of the day. Honestly she never would have imagined her to be this sort of bride, it was actually quite entertaining.

Actually, if you had told her a year ago where they would all be now? She wouldn’t believe you. Akari and Asa were building a home and planning this beautiful wedding, Daisuke bought a hotel and was starting his life with Zuki, Emi and Kage owned a cat cafe. Then there was Candy and Crow, having twins. Sort of. Well yes but, Zuki was HAVING them but Candy and Crow were having them? It was all still so wild to her, for a long time she really thought kids weren’t going to happen for her in any way shape or form. Yet here she was, very very close to the day she would be a mom. Crow was petrified of the twins but Candy for one was overjoyed! She didn’t want to only have one, being a single child sucked. This way it was over and done in one pregnancy! She really didn’t think she could ask Zuki to do it again…

“Akari it’s okay! You look amazing! The venue is beautiful! The boys are almost done getting ready! I’ll go make sure Crow gets things ready to go then I’ll send Daisuke this way now that everyone is dressed alright?” Candy shot a reassuring smile to her friend before heading out the door to catch up with her husband. “Come on let’s get everything set up then get back to the grooms suite! I have some killer best man duties to rock!” Asa and Akari were having a rather untraditional wedding party, Daisuke would stand on Akaris side whike Candy was actually asked for be Asa’s “best man”, a title which she chose to rub in the boys faces at every opportunity.

Crow and Candy had gotten music set up and queued, Crow was even controlling it all from his pocket where he stood up on the large altar. At this point everyone was at the front save for Akari and Emi, having chose to have her sister walk her down in lieu of their shitty father(s)? Candy glanced back to Crow and gave him a sweet smile, also cluing him to change the music before she turned back forward to whisper to Asa. “If you don’t cry at this beautiful woman who’s about to walk down the aisle I will personally make sure to it that my husband tortures you for a whole week.”
