Finding the Fountain

[Robin man]

Ragnar shrugged. "That's up to you, I'm fine either way."

 

[IceQueen]

Angel nodded, letting a smile creep to her face as she continued to knitt with a stupid grin.

 

[Robin man]

Ragnar raised a curious eyebrow as he smiled back. "What's with that grin?"

 

[IceQueen]

Angel sighed and shook her head. "Nothing."

 

[Robin man]

Ragnar shrugged. "Okay?" He knitted for a second before he chuckled. "I remember the time I woke up on a pirae ship going down to the southern seas in only my small clothes with a halfling. Would you believe that was only my first adventure out of my kingdom?"

 

[IceQueen]

Angel stopped her knitting and looked at him. "Well then I guess you were attached to home."

 

[Robin man]

"For a while I was, between my duties as a knight for my king. After the kings death, me and his whole knight order were disbanded with the new kings bodyguards, and so I had nothing left there. I left home the first time when I was twenty-one or so." Ragnar told her as he finished his knitting.

 

[IceQueen]

Angel smiled softly. "Well I guess that was a good time to leave. I have never really had one."

 

[Robin man]

Ragnar shook his head. "In my life, there's never a good time to leave home." He told her,

 

[IceQueen]

Angel nodded grimly. "It must be hard becoming a guardian then."

 

[Robin man]

Ragnar chuckled at her. "Not really, I've been traveling around the world for the last two decades, I could really use a break, and then there was the reason I needed the fountain in the first place."

 

[IceQueen]

Angel nodded. "Well then why don't we stay here for a while, let life sink in.

 

[Robin man]

Ragnar shrugged. "Alright, it's strange to think I'll be forty-four in a month, and yet I feel and look like I'm only twenty." He said smiling slightly.

 

[IceQueen]

Angel nodded, laughing slightly. "You get used to it when you turn one hundred.

 

[Robin man]

Ragnars eyes widened. "Oh Lordy, I can't imagine that."

 

[IceQueen]

Angel shook her head. "Hmm, yeah, you get used to it eventually though."

 

[Robin man]

"I hope so." Ragnar said as he stood up and stretched his legs as he moved his fingers around.

 

[IceQueen]

Angel smiled and let knitting, looking down at her work.

 

[Robin man]

Ragnar looked at her. "Somhow many guardians has your order had?" He asked her.

 

[IceQueen]

Angel sighed. "Maybe 20. I lost count at 10."

 

[Robin man]

Ragnar nodded slowly. "Alright, so I could be 21? My favorite number." He said softly

 

[IceQueen]

Angel smiled. "I guess, but I will always be number one."

 

[Robin man]

Ragnar shrugged. "There's nothing wrong with being first."

 

[IceQueen]

Angel chuckled. "It means winning to some. To me it means standing alone. Singular."

 

[Robin man]

Ragnar looked at her curiously. "That's one way to look at it I guess."
