Faymarsh Village

"A what?" Lilly asked worriedly. The girl had asked to be taken to a port. Did she need to get on a boat or something? Before Lilly could act, or even finish her train of thought, Lilly heard Gen's voice. She turned to where the voice was coming from, but before she really had a chance to respond Gen took her hand and effortlessly dragged her away from the girl on the floor. "B-But... She might need help?" Lilly protested worriedly. She looked back at the girl that she was leaving behind. After a short while she noticed that a man and his dog had made their way to the girl's side. This made Lilly feel a little less guilty for leaving. They probably had more of a chance to be able to do anything than she did.

Kishimoto Haruta

Kishimoto looked at the familiar person, "It looks an awful lot like Mikuma. Though, she looks like she's she's having trouble moving.. maybe she's running low on... something." He couldn't help but observe her further, If it is Mikuma.. she's in trouble.. she's running on low power and her major systems are beginning to shut down, if she isn't recharged soon, she'll die. Well the metaphorical death anyways, she could always be recharged.  He thought.

@Kairikudo

Mikuma

"Systems... shutting... down..." Her eyes closed and she fell on the ground, System shutdown. Now she lie motionless, literally, on the ground. Her ship is nowhere to be found, though granted they are a bit inland, so she couldn't reach it anyways unless she got to a port city. Scout plane launching... The voice this time is heard coming from Mikuma, Predictive measures taken, IJN Mikuma mobilized. The ships engines turned on remotely and the scout plane launched, luckily there was a port city nearby about 6 km away.

@FrostFire @CactusJuice @Geozaki

Azriel

Azriel looked at the two as they walked away, she cleared her throat and snapped her fingers as she apperated away to a nearby building where sat and swung her legs, "Gosh.. keeping these hidden is a real pain.." she smiled as she looked up at the sky.

Misaki Haruta

Her eyes widen at his statement looking down in the direction he had the telescope pointed at. It was too hard from her to see. Without a word Misaki was gone, she had ran off to go towards the girl to get a better look,and thanks to years of training she was very fast. It only took her a moment before she found the girl who her husband claimed to look like Mikuma, their daughter. Misaki came to a halt in front of the girl.

@Kumii

I backed away, Lilly in tow. I did not like this one bit, and I intended to get out of the situation as quickly as possible.

Ugh... I didn't want to do this, but...

I lead Lilly towards an alley off the main street, and quickly glanced at the sign before going in and shutting the door quickly behind me.

It read;

Sunrise Detective Agency

We Find What You're Looking for Before the Sun Rises, Guaranteed. ™ *

Open Sunset - Sunrise Every Night.

*Finding does not necessarily mean retrieving.

It was very dark inside, but that was no problem for myself.

"Ms Goodman?", I had spoken softly, but I knew she would be able to hear me.

@Bethari @Geozaki

Kishimoto Haruta

"Say, Misaki, what would be the odds tha--" He turned to look at Misaki, who wasn't there, "Oh... she's gone. I hate when she does that." He put his hand in his pockets grabbed the keys for their Jaguar F-Type and drove off to town. He arrived at her location, the audible purr of the engine is heard approaching them. He shut the car off and got out, standing behind the open car door.

@CactusJuice @Kairikudo

Jack raised an eyebrow. "It sounds like she's becoming delirious. That can't be good." He noticed Gen leaving. It surprised him a bit; she'd seem like such a nice woman. He couldn't imagine how she could just leave the girl lying on the street. He stuck his hand inside his suit. "Don't worry, kid. I'm not going anywhere." Searching his pockets a bit, he pulled out a flip cell phone. He'd never really been a fan of touchscreens; they were too fragile for his line of work. Opening it up, he dialed 911. He put it to his ear as it began to ring. Just then another woman came sprinting down the street. Jack was beginning to wonder how many men actually lived in this town. The phone picked up. "This is 911 what's your emergency?" An attendant  asked through the phone. "I...uh..." He stared as a man drove up and stepped out of his vehicle. "...I'll call you back." He closed his phone. Making sure to keep his hand near his concealed revolver, he stepped next to the fallen girl. "And who exactly would you two be?" He asked in an icy tone. His demeanor had completely changed. There was something strange going on, and he didn't like it.
@Kumii @Kairikudo

Lizzie Goodman had just cleared her desk when she heard the back door slam. The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end.

"Ms. Goodman?" a voice cooed.

Relax, Liz thought to herself, I don't think she's here to hurt you.

The voice belonged to a beautiful redhead, who was holding hands with a little girl. The strangers sat in the chairs across from Lizzie.

"You're out awful early," blurted Liz. Why did I say the first thing that popped into my head?

The truth was that the detective's new client made her nervous. Not because she felt like the young woman would do her harm; she seemed benevolent, in fact. No, it was because Lizzie felt like she was the type of person who could see right through you.

"Ahem," the detective said, "So, what brings you to Sunrise Detective Agency?"

I smiled warmly, "Well, Lizzie. We are here as somewhat of a... Recruitment, shall we say. Perhaps I should explain a little before I get into things...", I sat back in my chair, letting go of Lilly's hand, and placing mine daintily on my lap.

"Now. I hear that you run quite the establishment here, and it's very successful. But perhaps it's time for a little vacation.", my tone of voice was deadly serious, but still quite friendly.

"Ms Goodman, you shall be payed well, very well indeed, if you help us. This is your chance to be a part of something bigger. This is a matter of more than just my own investment, but one of worldly and otherworldly proportions.", I took a breath.

"Lizzie, help us to save the world.", I did not smile this time, the gravity of the situation plastered on my voice.

@Bethari @Geozaki

Misaki Haruta

Misaki knelt down to her daughter who had shut down. She examined the girl closely, sure enough it was her Mikuma. She hugged the girl close. Her head turning when she heard the familiar purr of the engine to see her husband standing in front of the open door. Her attention then turned towards the man who spoke in such a cold tone.

"We are her parents. And WHO might you be?" She asked holding her daughter protectively. Misakis light blue eyes narrowed on the male with the revolver.

@Kumii. @CactusJuice

The detective blinked.

"I don't know if you read the sign on the door," she said, "But this business is about finding things, not saving them. Besides, how could I save the world when I can't even -"

She paused and took a breath, checking her watch. "Uh, find some of my paperwork. Can I get you anything to drink?" Liz rose to her feet and headed towards the mini fridge in the rear of the building.

@FrostFire

Lilly watched the conversation between the Gen and this woman, Lizzie. She stood awkwardly where Gen had left her, silently observing. She seemed to be nervous and was secretly hoping that Lizzie wouldn't decide to include her in the conversation. Her thoughts turned to what had bought them here in the first place, but she quickly shook the thoughts away, now was not the time to be thinking about something like that. She didn't want to provoke her emotional stability in any way, it was a miracle she'd gone so long since her last episode, and she wanted that miracle to continue for a little while longer... though it seemed to be too much to ask.

@FrostFire @Bethari

Kishimoto Haruta

Kishimoto looked about everyone, "Hey now, let's all just calm down now." He said trying to defuse the situation, he then looked to Jack, "Son, you look like the type of person who gets protective, I respect that. So as a thank you." He handed him a strange device, something that look much more complicated than a phone, use this on her. He looked at Misaki, "Honey, you can't always get so protective, I know you love her. Now please step aside so the man can do something help her." He walked over to Jack, "Time for a science lesson, my boy. That device I gave ya is a recharge device. It was made specifically for Mikuma, the.. uh.. android on the ground there. Just point it at her and press the red button there." He stepped back, "It'll release an infrared pulse, undetectable to us but it'll give Mikuma there a 'jump' to her systems." He looked at Jack as he waited for the man to do his thing.

"Now now. You don't give yourself enough credit...", I waited until she was looking at my face, before I grinned widely, showing my once retracted fangs, now on full view. After hiding them again, I answered her question. "No thank you, dearie. Now, please consider my offer. I would not be here unless I very much needed your help. Oh, and you have another customer, he will probably be here in a short while. He seems to be a hunter of sorts, so it'd be best to watch yourself, Ms Goodman...", I would not be leaving here without her, that much was certain.

I glanced up, and gestured for Lilly to sit down next to me, where I could keep an eye on her.

@Bethari @Geozaki

Lilly silently moved to sit next to Gen as she gestured for her to. She watched continued to silently observe the conversation. She could feel Gen's aura change and seriously didn't want to get involved if she could help it. Gen is a lovely person! It's just you seriously don't want to get on her bad side! That was a lesson that Lilly was relieved she hadn't had to learn the hard way!

Jack relaxed a bit when he was informed they were her parents. His hand moved away from his weapon. Then the man handed him sort of device and claimed the girl was an android. He raised an eyebrow. “...android?” He turned his attention to the girl. “But she looks so...human.” He hadn’t realized technology had become quite that advanced. It would explain what she was talking about earlier though. Besides, Jack had seen plenty of creatures that looked human but definitely weren’t. Such beings had almost costed him his life a few times. He looked at the woman who claimed to be android’s mother. “And didn’t you say you were her p-...nevermind.” He stopped himself. Jack had meant plenty of scientists. They often did weird things like calling their creations their “babies”. He examined the strange device. It looked harmless enough. Pointing it at the android on the ground, Jack really hoped he wasn’t making the wrong call here. Muttering a quick prayer, he pressed the red button. Buffy was practically oblivious to what was going. He just walked over and curiously sniffed the scientists. They had plenty of interesting smells coming off of them.

@Kumii @Kairikudo

She knew it. She knew the redhead was Kindred. A wave of satisfaction washed over Liz when the woman's fangs appeared, but the feeling was soon replaced with suspicion. She resumed her seat across her new client, although she felt like a cat that was cornered by a dog: scared, but ready to claw some someone's eyes out if they came too close.

Staring the woman in the eye, Liz said, "How much do you know? Whatever it is, you better not have said anything to your friend."

I laughed, "Now now! Of course I wouldn't do such a thing! What do you think of me? I know quite a bit about you, Ms Goodman. Although, you will not know me. I am Genevieve Tourmaline, an aristocrat from the City of Darkness. I know you do not socialise with our kind very much, and that you can be quite mysterious... But, your skills speak for themselves.", a faint grin passed my face, and then I was serious again. Oh yes, the Coven certainly had said as little as possible regarding this woman, but from the organisation she held, I gathered that she was a witch before she had turned, and that her powers lingered. I knew quite a bit about that...

@Bethari

Kishimoto & Mikuma

"Your right, she is very human. Atleast for an AI. I would know, I designed her like that." He said as Jack pointed the device at Mikuma, "Well with help from my wife over there." He put a hand on Jack's shoulder, "Good job, son. You can keep that there, I have like 15 of the things." He said as he walked over to Mikuma. Who began powering up.

System power restored. Internal systems operating at 100% cacpacity. Booting... Mikuma's eyes opened slowly, the boot up process was slow, for the moment she was running map scans or the surrounding area, she got up and looked around, "Faymarsh Village. Distance from the sea... unknown." Visual systems rebooting... She looked the dog scanned him, Threat level, yellow. Body classification, dog. She then looked at Jack, Threat level, yellow. Body classification, human male. She re calibrated her eyes to the surrounding area, Re calibration complete, visual systems fully functional. She walked over to Jack, "Who are you?" She asked him.

(Don't metagame the italics, remember, only Mikuma can hear that.)

Lizzie nodded, somewhat embarrassed by the redhead's assessment of her skills. She sighed, propping her weary head up with her elbow. She knew very little about witches, much less that she was one. The vampire part, however, she was keenly aware of. She missed the days when she could go outside and enjoy the sunlight and being able to swim at the lake. On the plus side, her sharpened senses meant it was much easier to pick up on clues, which meant more hinky feelings and that cases were solved in a fraction of the time. The detective returned her attention to the woman in front of her.

"Gen, can I call you Gen? I really appreciate the compliment and it was nice of you to visit, but I fail to see what this has to do with me." Liz waited a beat, then asked, "Are you sure you don't want anything?"

My demeanour changed like someone had just turned off the lights. "Ms Goodman. This is not a request you can refuse.", my voice was now cold, dead, and my almost glowing eyes stared her down, not quite threatening, but almost. My fangs were now at their full length, over twice what they had been when I revealed them before.

"This has everything to do with you. Unless you wish to see this down decimated by-", I said the next word in a guttural snarl, "Inari. Then I would suggest you listen to what I am telling you, girl.".

And, just like that, my sweet nature returned, and I smiled warmly again, all of the menacing traits that had appeared were just as quickly gone again. "Of course you can call me Gen! And I'm alright, thank you. I had a deer before we arrived this morning.", my calm, sweet voice a juxtaposition of the one I had only moments before.

@Bethari

Jack felt like the man was being a bit demeaning. All he'd done was press a button it really hadn't been that complicated. He sighed. "Thanks...I guess, but I don't think I'll be needing it again." The girl seemed to wake back up. She said something about the sea. He wondered what she was doing here if she was looking for the sea. She questioned who he was. "Me?" Jack was surprised the android cared. Maybe it was just for data collecting purposes. He fumbled around in his pockets pulling out another cigar and his lighter. He'd drop his other one somewhere worrying about the girl...or android. "My name's Jack, Jack Azarias." He put the cigar to his lips and lit it. "I'm no one important, just a bystander who happened to be walking by." He blew some smoke. Then he looked around for his suitcases. He should probably get going; he didn't want to make it to the detective agency too late.

@Kumii @Kairikudo

Lizzie shrugged and headed into the backroom. Maybe I'm not the kook this time, she thought, and what the Hell is an Inari? She returned with an IV bag filled with human blood.

"It's O positive," she said, plopping the IV on the desk, "You sure you don't want one? It's only O positive, but it's one of my favorites, with notes of trial attorney and good community standing, with the clean finish of a clear conscience." She saw that, once again, Gen declined.

"Alright, fine, tell me about how I'm supposed to help you," she said, tearing into the bag, "And what this Inari thing is."

Within a minute, she had completely drained its contents.

I nodded, she was finally taking me seriously.

"You are to accompany me... I shall explain on the way, I do not feel comfortable explaining such things now, for fear of our little hunter 'friend' coming in... Essentially, we need to help my husband. He is in grave danger, as are many other creatures that we will save at the same time. Inari is the most evil and dangerous of all creatures. She is a kitsune, and she wishes to destroy the worlds.... We are here to help stop this from happening. She has already begun her assault on Earth, and unfortunately, this town is one of the next places on her list.", the severity behind my words was obvious. Such a thing could not happen.

@Bethari

As Lizzie drained the last drops from the IV, she could feel a rush of sensation course through her veins. Consuming blood was like increasing the video quality on Youtube, like going from 144p, low-res, mobile phone quality, to 1080p with sixty frames per second. Everything was in sharper focus.

"You are to accompany me," Gen said, "Inari has already begun her assault on Earth and, unfortunately, this town is the next place on her list."

Although Lizzie didn't care too much for the town she resided in, she certainly didn't want it or its inhabitants to disappear. Of course, there was still one small, insignificant matter that was on Liz's mind.

"Isn't it still light out?" she asked.

I smirked at that, "Yes, very much so... The sun is lovely, you should get out more... Now, I would try and hide any blood packs if I were you, Jack will be here soon, and I'm sure he won't take kindly to finding our, dear.", considering the very potent garlic smell, he wasn't a very knowledgeable one, but that only made him more dangerous, as many like that would kill without thinking.

"However, by the time he has said his bit, I'm sure it will be close enough to dark. Where we're going, you shan't have to worry about that dear.", I smiled knowingly.
