Welcome to Fabletown.
Or should I say, welcome back?
This plot idea is loosely based off of the Telltale game series, "The Wolf Among Us", inspired by "Fables", the comic books.
Fairytale and folklore don't live happily ever after in the streets of New York. Many "Fables" (characters from the stories we all know and love) have turned to drugs, prostitution, theft, and deceit in order to make it in a world that wasn't made for them.
Most Fables hold resentment towards any that have managed to keep a sliver of their home and dignity over the years. The well-off Fables reside in a Manhattan apartment complex called the Woodlands, while the rest are scattered across the Bronx, holed up in ratty apartments and Fable-run bars.
Snow White, Fabletown's recently appointed mayor, has been trying to smooth the friction between in the Fable community, but being a resident of the Woodlands hasn't helped her on that front. As if tensions weren't high enough, a recent string of murders, Fable murders, has caused everyone to throw their guard up. Who is friend and who is foe?
In this storyline, Fables would make up different factions, similar to a "mafia" sort of plot. Mystery, action, romance, friendship, and betrayal will all rear their heads while our characters search for the truth behind the recent deaths and protect their own in the process.
