Name: Foster Corvade

Species: Human

Height: 5ft 8

Age: 25

Physical appearance: Foster constantly manages to exude the aura of somebody who just can’t quite be bothered today. His grey flecked brown eyes are ringed with dark circles at all times, a clear give away that he doesn’t get as much sleep as he should. His hair while actually brown might as well be black unless in harsh light and is kept shaven short on the sides but longer on top, the latter being roughly brushed to the left. His nose is pretty unremarkable, slightly smaller than average perhaps but not noticeably so. A smattering of hard to notice freckles are dotted around his face but aren’t really visible unless it’s the height of summer. With naturally fast growing facial hair Foster makes a half-hearted effort and as such usually has short stubble darkening his face. His frame is quite lithe, the result of spending most of his childhood outside climbing trees in his local forest or helping his family around the farm. For the same reason his arms, hands and legs bare various small scars. Despite all the time he spent outside in his youth his skin remains on the pale side, probably because of his tendency to remain in his mask a lot of the time. Speaking of which… Foster’s usual attire consists of a dark grey leather armour, light enough not to slow him much but thick enough to offer decent protection. A sash is slung over his right shoulder and across his chest, supporting three small knife scabbards. His knee high boots are made of well-worn brown leather and sport tiny metal claws on each foot, not long enough to be of much use and more of a stylistic choice really. On each hip sits a pouch to store various medical goods. He sports brown leather bracers on each wrist, each one sporting yet another small knife sheath. His head is concealed a majority of the time by a plague doctor style crow mask, primarily black but with golden rings around each eye. The beak is fairly short and has a slight hook to it. To top it all off he wears a black cloak, with plumage clearly taken from a crow adorning the hood.

Personality: Foster is generally calm and collected, or at least gives off that kind of aura even if in reality he’s panicking a little. He likes to mull things over in his head if he’s given the chance, doing so means he can take his time and assure he’s making the right choice. That being said he can think on his feet and doesn’t shy away from having to make quick decisions when the situation calls for it. Foster is quite confident in his own abilities but isn’t cocky, knowing that he has his limits and that he has to respect that fact or face the consequences. Whilst he may seem a little cold at first that’s not really the case, he just isn’t too emotive. Some have even called him detached upon seeing how ruthlessly he goes about his “work” but ask him about that and he’ll probably just state that he “balances quite elegantly upon the line between life and death”, edgy crow boy that he is. When it comes down to the nitty gritty he has a good heart and is determined to do what he deems the right thing, even if sacrifices have to be made along the way.

Class (Don’t know if you need this?): A sort of Medic/ rouge hybrid if I had to put a label on it.

Backstory: Foster is the latest in a long line of Corvade children, a family that was best known for their agricultural prowess and their ceaseless misfortune. The Corvade’s owned a small farm situated quite far from the closest village and as such lived off the land, selling what excess crops they grew to travellers that passed along the nearest road. Things had been going pretty swell for the Corvades for a while but eventually disaster struck. A lightning strike had set one of their barns ablaze. Unfortunate but nothing they couldn’t recover from. Then a freak hail storm wiped out a large majority of the crops. Then it was wolves and so and such forth. Word got out that the family was cursed, a rumour that surged to popularity when a mystery disease began to spread amongst the animals of the farm. It manifested itself overnight, a violent madness would grip the minds of the animals and they would swiftly become a danger not only to themselves but others. Exhausted by their terrible run of bad luck the Corvade family sent their youngest child to the nearest city to study in the field of medicine in the hopes that he might find a cure for this mystery illness. That child was of course Foster, who settled in the town of Tawnbridge only to be turned down by any legitimate place of medicine. Of course they had not want or need for a teenage boy with no formal training. Desperate and alone Foster was taken under the wing of a disgraced physician who took pity on the poor soul. It quickly became apparent why the old doctor had been exiled from his peers, his methods were… unorthodox to say the least. He told Foster tales of his youth that he was a “Combat medic” a doctor who fought to save lives on the front line, forced to become just as at home taking them. Foster was intrigued to say the least and asked to be trained not only in the art of healing but also fighting. After all he couldn’t save anybody if he was dead now could he? The doctor agreed and his training begun. It was tough going and although there were moments in which he wasn’t sure he’d make it, Foster pulled through and stuck to his training. With just over a years’ experience under his belt he headed back to the family farm, eager to begin testing on the disease stricken animals. But when he returned home he found that the family farm had become a graveyard, the bodies of dead animals littered the ground and inside the house was his family, clearly killed some time ago. Upon launching an enquiry into their deaths with the local village he was told that his father had gone mad, killed all but Foster’s mother as the disease that had ravaged the livestock took a hold of him. She managed to drive a pitchfork into her husband’s chest but not before she sustained a mortal wound herself. It was a miracle she made it to the village at all really and not long after arriving she passed away from blood loss. Stricken by the loss of his family Foster returned to Tawnbridge to finish his training, more driven than ever. He couldn’t let other families meet similar fates to his own. As time went by he became both a talented healer and a ferocious fighter, donning armour fashioned after his family emblem (A crow obviously) and a weapon that spoke of his humble farmer beginnings, a scythe.

Weapons: A scythe of his own design boasting a collapsible handle so that its length may be adjusted, several small throwing knives and a single hunting knife. A favourite utility weapon of Foster’s is a simple Molotov cocktail. Foster doesn't like to rely heavily on magical crutches but does make use of a short range teleport or "blink" spell.

Other: Has a faithful avian companion in the form of Tobias, ironically a raven and not a crow.

Name: Saith Winslow

He is kind, strict but fair, and determined to complete a task once he sets his mind to it.

Name: Ashley Winslow

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Appearance:
566720
(Yes, I Fire Emblem.)

Personality:
As the only child of Saith Winslow, Ashley often doesn't speak to people, and instead focuses on living up to her father's name. No matter how many times Saith tells her to at least try to make a friend or two, she insists that she doesn't need them. In reality, however, she tends to feel lonely as a result. She is quiet, polite, charismatic at times, and relatively antisocial, but is determined to protect her comrades, even if she has no real attachment to them.

Background:
Ashley was born shortly after the fall of Fenrir, to a wounded father and a broken kingdom. As she grew up, her father tried his hardest to be there for her, but openly admits that he could have done a better job of raising his daughter. This said, Ashley's relationship with her father is stable and positive, and she aspires to be like his commanding figure in life. Titan's Hand was founded when she turned 19, and immediately wished to enlist, however Saith refused. After much persuasion and some begging, Saith finally caved and let his only daughter enlist, on the grounds that he would personally mentor her in the arts of combat.

Equipment:
Much like her father, Ashley is typically armed with a sword and some light armor plating around her arms and chest.

Hobbies: Studying Terrors, Calligraphy.

Habits: Biting her lip when nervous.

Likes: Respect

Dislikes: People who talk down to her, people who treat her fair due to her bloodline, etc.

Other: Ashley probably has some of the best handwriting in the entire guild of Titan's Hand.

Kai-ren
Unchained Gladiator of Aclea
Age: 23
Gender: Female
General Appearance: Riven.jpg
General Personality: Kai-ren is mysterious and reclusive. She's slow to trust and reacts with quick instincts. She seems rough and unfriendly on the outside, but beneath all that she's secretly scared of the world and just wants to be free.
Background:
Backstory: Kai-ren was born in a caravan traveling the rolling sands of Aclea. Her parents were young, enthusiastic travelers -- eager to experience the world. They stayed with the nomad group for a few years, hopping from tel to oasis. One day, on their way to the Tel of Karn, the city-like camp of the main warlord of at the time, the trip took a dark turn. Kai-Ten was ripped from her parents' arms due to superstitions in the area about her strange hair color. The ruler of the area had intended for her to be trained as a mistress of sorts, but when she proved too untamable -- more like a wild horse than a girl, she was discarded into arena. Thus she was forced into the role of a slave-gladiator at such an age that she was unable to learn much of anything else. As a slave, she was sent into battles on a chain as a weapon of war rather than a soldier. There was only one thing that carried her through this. An instinct to survive. It was this instinct of survival that eventually led her to break her chains and overcome her taskmasters. The warlords of Aclea were too well equipped and prepared for such things for her to be able to save others like her, but she was able to escape and lose herself in the endless deserts. Then came her years of wandering. Constantly being hunted by other warlords, Kai-ren struggled to stay alive and get enough of the simplest resources such as food and water. Then one day, she wandered into a land that was foreign to her. This land was the home of her parents..

  • Pauldron
  • Cloak
Hobbies: Survival, making friends with animals.
Habits: Brooding, being stubborn,
Likes: Animals, free things, freedom,
Dislikes: Slavery, people who talk too fast, ignorance
