Lyla Grace
Lyla turned, spotting her reflection in the mirror across from her bed. She'd already unpacked, putting off going to the bonfire for as long as possible. Not that she wasn't excited to see her fellow classmates, but she was a little anxious. Parties were perfect places for her to get picked on, but that wasn't why she was anxious. Parties were also perfect places for her to pick up others emotions, usually unintentionally. Teens with hormones, plus alcohol, wasn't the best combination for her. She didn't really drink, because it made her own powers go haywire.

She grimaced as she remembered her freshman year bonfire, where she'd gotten trashed and made everybody cry. Literally cry-- her own emotions were all over the place, and she was terrified, and her own emotions manifested in everybody within a mile radius. It wasn't just the tears, though. Spirit magic was just as powerful as any physical element, just in a different way. Others weren't sure how to deal with her emotions manifesting in them, and a few had tried to make it stop by harming themselves or others. No one had been seriously hurt, but that's because the school employees had come and taken Lyla away, effectively ending her hold on the others.

Sighing, she smoothed out her shirt and turned away, running her fingers through the ends of her hair as she slipped her feet into her classic black flats, leaving the safety of her dorm and heading to the party.

Another day, another party. Bonfires were cool though, fire was man's most important creation and if you don't count drugs, one of his most soothing. There was something wonderfully therapeutic about watched the flames of a fire lick towards the sky and dance; so Ray sat there, back leaning on the trunk of a dampened tree as the nobs in the bark dug slightly into his back. His eyes would lazily drift sometimes from the fire to his phone, held in his right hand as his thumb scrolled idly through an old thread titled "I got totally mistaken for a Molester" in the other hand he nursed a red solo cup, filled perhaps halfway with... he'd forgotten, the only thing he knew was that it was flat, and thus he wanted another drink.

Ray took a moment to yawn and arch his back as his spine made a dull crack. As he straightened his back again he pushed himself off from the tree and got moving. He hadnt really gotten talking to anyone so far, so he'd been content with a mixture of the worst and best people on the internet; the drawback to that was that he had to keep getting up for his own drinks, rather than asking a friend to bring something when they went to get their own. He searched around for some off-brand cola that even he barely recognised, before filling his cup and tossing his old one into a bin. He took a sip. Flat. Threw away the wrong cup, idiot.

A bonfire?! Had he heard that right? Were they actually having a bonfire at this party thing? Screw staying inside and sleeping! Baxter was definitely going to this shindig now.

...Really, the only good thing about the party was the fire. It seemed either everyone was late or this was
everyone and they were all incredibly lame. How typical. He came to this expecting to have some fun (with the fire) and he found a total snooze-fest. Lovely.

The booze, at least, was okay, but the fire kicked up Baxter's adrenaline like nothing else. His father had once called him a "pyromaniac," and the term suited him so well he decided to introduce himself as such from now on. Helped that his father had taught him how to charm anything that moved... Which helped when he was feeling particularly "hungry" on a certain day.

Baxter stayed close to the fire, more for the fire itself than for warmth or soothing. Fire, fire, fire. The best thing that had ever happened to him or would happen to him. Nothing else mattered but the fire. It could destroy things so easily, especially when he had something to do with him. But could it destroy him? A wolfish grin spread across his face. It probably could destroy him if he really wanted it to, but where would be the fun in that?

Putting his hands in his pockets, Baxter waited for the inevitable: A girl (or guy) would approach him, and he would flirt with them until one of them initiated a hook up.

Too bad for the curfew rule. If he had anything to say about it, he'd stay at the girl's dorm till five in the morning if he found someone entertaining enough.

The bonfire would have to do for now.

Fia's eyes were ablaze with excitement, the warmth of the flickering fire calling her like a friendly song . She crouches at the edge, warming her fingertips against the flame and calling out wisps of fire to swirl against her palms . It was such a soothing feeling and allowed her to escape from the crowd even while in the middle of the growing numbers.

As she played with the bonfire like a pet a couple people looked at her, nervous . For some reason flame was almost always thought of as destructive and, now that the 'evil' half of the powers have been included nobody really knows who is who and who they should watch out for . "Don't worry about me..." She purrs, mostly to herself. If people would like to leave her alone she isn't going to complain... though it does hurt a bit. Fia lets out a short breath, tucks a few dark locks behind her ear, and draws circles in the dirt as the reflection of flames dances off her crouched figure.

Kypher Hawthorne

Kypher, like quite a few at the party, was by himself at the party. He was leaning against his own uncomfortable tree as far away from the bonfire as he could get whilst still being in the light it cast. Soothingly, he could sense the calming lake at his back as it gently lapped at its edges. He sighed deeply. At least there was some refuge if some idiot set the forest on fire.

Speaking of idiots, Kypher noticed one particular student. He liked to watch others at the party to see if he could gauge their powers; to see if there was any competition. It was really the only reason he was even at the party, in all honesty. The student had gone to get another drink and then thrown the one he'd just poured away, perhaps due to the volume of alcohol the guy had consumed. Other than that, there were two weirdos sitting dangerously close to the fire, one of which was mumbling to herself, and a bunch of random students that didn't really seem to stand out. Great, pyromaniacs.

Deciding he was bored, Kypher chose to have a little fun given that he was staying here for a while longer. The drunk guy would do. There were rules saying that he couldn't harm anyone with his powers, but Kypher was sure a harmless prank wouldn't cause much damage. Glancing over at the drunk guy with a noncommittal expression, the epitome of inconspicuousness,
he activated his power. Frost began to generate under his foot and spread across the forest floor in a straight line rapidly. No one would likely notice it in the dark conditions.

The frost continued to race over to the guy as he went to drink from his cup. It quickly spread up his trouser leg and jacket sleeve, which probably wasn't touching much of his body, until it reached his cup. If Kypher had timed it right, which he believed he had, the drink would have frozen just as the guy took a sip from it, freezing his lip to the now-solid liquid. Kypher waited for a reaction, his face still rather dull, arms folded in expectation as continued to lean against his tree.

Raymond Fitz

CRACK.

Ray tapped his foot idly as his cup hit the ground, and he raised the drink he wanted in the first place to his lips.

CRACK

Small vibrations shook up his body as the frost crawled across the grass, bending and groaning beneath the weight of the thin flakes of frost. An icy chill ran up his leg, as if his jeans had been drowned in ice-water. Shuddering, he flicked his flashlight on to see if someone bad spilled something on him; instead he saw the dm frost, racing up his leg and creeping over his arm towards his drink. The simplest way to deal with this was simple. He set the drink down as the frost spreads around his body, and waddled over happily to the bonfire, albeit now shivering a little, and without his crappy drink.

YAWN

Ray couldn't see where the frost has came from, and he was hardly someone who searched for confrontation, so he simply left it, returning to his phone and idly scrolling through badly laid out webpages.

"This bonfire is amazing!" A girl said. "I know right, but it's not very fun with all these baddies roaming around. With our schools combine no one knows who's bad and who's not!" Another girl said. "Don't worry about it. There are eyes and ears everywhere if the baddies even think of doing something they'll get expelled for sure." Said another. This conversation was from a group of girls huddled around a tree talking in earshot of none other than Eclipse. The teen was sitting on the ground, her back resting on the hard bark of a tree near the chatty girls' tree. Eclipse was writing away in a composition notebook titled Scheming Journal #6 with some of her jet black hair pushed behind one ear. 'Those poor ignorant souls, they have no idea what us 'baddies' are capable of.' Eclipse thought to herself as a smirk spread across her face.

However, the annoying girls did make a point. The Magic Superiors can see and hear everything were if an evil student even attempted to break a rule they'd be stopped immediately. Eclipse stopped writing and began to give more thought about the Superiors. With them around, executing her extreme schemes was going to be tough. 'I'm sure the Superiors would have a problem with me trying to cut off one of these imbeciles' heads.' She began to ponder ways to get around the Superiors watchful eye or even a way to get them out of the picture period. Sadly, there's not much known about these high and mighty magic users, so Eclipse came up with nothing. She let out a sigh and continued writing, 'No matter, I will just continue with my first intention of observing these mindless pawns that are my classmate.' The adolescent thought, 'That's the only reason I'm at this party anyway.'

Kypher frowned as the boy simply released the cup and moved closer to the fire. It was anticlimactic at best, damn near disappointing considering the student's potential power. Kypher had learned nothing and he hated waste or unnecessary actions, almost as much as he hated repeating himself. He couldn't go near the fire, especially not with those two obvious pyromaniacs standing about.

Glancing away, apparently done with the other young man, he noticed a girl sitting by a tree some way odd to his right. Taking a moment to study her, he realised that she was doing exactly what he was: scrutinising the stock for potential. Whether that potential lay in strong rivals or weak victims, Kypher couldn't tell. Either way, she interested him and that was a good enough reason to reveal himself.

Stepping away from his secluded tree, Kypher nonchalantly walked around the edges of the gathering, sticking to the darkness as he approached the girl's tree. It wasn't that he was trying to sneak up on her, he just didn't want to be bothered by anyone that might see him. As he approached silently, Kypher rested a shoulder on the side of the tree as he leaned against it, gazing off at the other students with an inscrutable look.

"Find anything interesting?"

His expression was unreadable, aided by the fact that one could barely see him in the low light. But his tone was unmistakable; it was that of a cold, calculating individual, reserved in its solitary existence and removed from the rest. Truly, he revealed very little about himself in general, but only the most perceptive could garner a restrained hunger that laid within. Kypher waited, continuing to observe the livestock.

After a while longer of blissfully enjoying the fire she figured the whole purpose of this event was being wasted and stood herself up. The same fingertips that had just been on fire now brush a wave of long dark hair over her shoulder and she stretches her arms above her head. "Mn..." Fia lets out a breath. Her eyes begin to scan the crowd, looking for people who might be alone - talking to people in groups was never her strong suit - or people she already knows.

For a moment her gaze stops on a boy who is also standing 'dangerously' close to the fire. Another pyro... she muses silently and contemplates approaching him. However, he seems to be putting off this... vibe that makes her second guess choosing him as a conversation partner. Almost like he wasn't looking for that kind of companionship tonight. A giggle slips past her lips and she quickly averts her gaze, not particularly wanting to be caught looking at him. There are still a bunch of students who hadn't arrived yet so, to procrastinate, she wanders over to get herself a drink. Hot chocolate or coffee would have been her go-to but obviously anybody else would have liked the cool bubblies available. So, picking up a cup, she idles around the drink table.

"Find anything interesting?"

Eclipse jumped upon hearing the teen boy who appeared beside her tree out of nowhere and quickly closed her composition notebook with her pencil inside. She was about to reply with a snide comment about sneaking up on people when it was none of his business, but, Eclipse held her tongue when she got a better read on the guy. The teen was, of course, an evil student, Eclipse gathered that much with the whole hidden in the shadows, mysterious sneak attack as a greeting, but he wasn't intimidating to Eclipse in the least. She could win in an intimidation contest against him with ease. However, something about his cold and unfeeling tone of voice told her that he was still not someone to mess with, which made him the perfect temporary ally for Eclipse.

"The simpletons expect that nothing is coming from us. A vast majority believe that their oh-so-powerful Magic Superiors will protect them." Eclipse explained to the mysterious figure. "Sadly they are correct. No one will be able to have any fun with them able to see and hear everything." The teen girl let out a sigh, just saying this information out loud is probably a risk of detention or whatever for talking down about the Superiors. Too bad she didn't care, and she had a feeling her shadow guy didn't either. "Oh, and might I add that it is rude to sneak up on fellow villains like that. Save it for the goodies."

Lyla reached the party within a few minutes, and though she was better practiced now at keeping her own emotions in check, she still hesitated before inserting herself into he thrall of people. A few people recognized her and waved, and she smiled back at them, waiting a moment before going to find a non alcoholic drink. Alcohol lowered peoples inhibitions, and with spirit magic, she needed to have her wits about her if she was going to survive.

Locating a diet soda finally, she cracked it open and then moved out from the middle of the party, slowly trying to take everything in. There were plenty of people around that she knew, and plenty she didn't. Grasping her soda tightly, she headed to the outskirts of the group, closer towards the trees. She saw two people talking by a tree, but they weren't looking at her so she walked past them. She didn't recognize them, and found herself wondering if they were from the 'evil' school. She was accepting of the other school joining them, but she wondered how they felt, considering alot of her classmates were worried.

Robus decided the bonfire was a good place to make friends. They got dressed and arrived at the bonfire. Bonfires, not exactly their thing but worth a try to make new friends. They noticed that the bonfire had a few people milling around it, they sat down next to Baxter, who seemed like a friendly guy.

"I hope you don't mind, you seemed a little lonely," Robus said with a kind smile.

Empty drink, wet throat. the person that had tried something hadn't made another attempt. How droll. It all seemed like a bore to him. Nevertheless, he could perhaps derive some enjoyment for himself. For a while he wasn't sure how, eye's darting around to look for someone or something he could maybe interact with. There were a handful of groups of people; standing idle or chatting, as well as those that stood on their own; often fidgeting and looking for something that made them seem busy and not alone, yet relatively few pairings. The more uncommon target was naturally, the more interesting one. so he moved forwards, each slow, careful step planted itself on ever-so-slightly softened earth, dulling each purposeful pace. Gently now, he placed his fingertips on the bark of the tree the two seemed to be chatting in.

TAP

His thin nails dug slightly into the tree.

CREAK

He smiled towards the boy at the base of the tree; though he had the eerie suspicion he'd met the white-haired male before, in some way or other. He'd come to the realisation as he approached that neither of the people he had saw were on the tree; which had upset his plan somewhat, they were just simply hanging around it's base. Either way it didn't matter particularly much, as long as he might bamboozle someone.

TAP

His index finger dug a little deeper into the trunk and it seemed to groan gently in response; the origin of this groan was the branch above them, that seemed to bend slightly, it's leaves rustling; the unattentive would see it as nothing more than the strain of an aged tree in the breeze.

He dug into his 'vast' wealth of social experience and 'generous' intellect and blurted out the most interesting thing he could come up with as a greeting. After these words left his mouth, he came to realise he wasn't particularly intelligent, nor particularly tactful

"Sup my dudes, whatcha plotting?"

Kypher Hawthorne

"Fellow villains?"

Kypher arched an eyebrow but otherwise continued to stare about outwardly, this time directing his gaze to the blazing bonfire. To think that the students from the 'Evil School' were villains was foreign to him. During his time there, there had been no good vs evil, no hero and no villain. There was just the weak and the powerful, the brave and the gutless. Kypher had no doubts that he was likely seen as quite the nefarious individual to the other students, hell, perhaps the other evil exchange students had even spread the daunting rumours about him already. Fulfilling the role of the villain was one thing, but it became an art to truly become one.

"I don't recall any faculty being able to stop me at our previous school. This should prove no different."

Short and concise. To the point, leaving much to the imagination. Kypher didn't particularly reveal much about himself in the way he acted, and what he said shed no further light as to his true nature or motives. Did he even plan to cause trouble? Was he going to target the teachers of this school? Had he concocted a plan to slip past them undetected? Ever the enigma, Kypher glanced away from the fire and breathed out a frosty, misty breath in the other direction.

It was at that moment that he noticed something odd. Although 'odd' was a bit of an understatement given the circumstance. Straining his ears, Kypher heard no sound, yet he could quite clearly see the boy approaching him in plain sight. The one he had been watching by the campfire, the one he'd played that drink-prank on. Why was he coming now? He should surely guess that the two of them clearly wanted no further company? Well, he was here now and...

Kypher actually took a moment to give the other student a hard look of incomprehension as he just simply stood before them, scratching the tree they were leaning on as if they didn't exist. A breeze gently wafted by in the silence, emphasising the tension that had brewed with the arrival. Kypher's face was not one of surprise or confusion, it was still in its emotionless state, however his gaze did not divert once from the other boy as he stared the young man down. After a few moments, the boy looked at him with some sort of familiarity and Kypher frowned. He did not recall ever meeting this one before, aside from his little test earlier, where he hadn't been seen anyway.

A groan. Kypher glanced up, his frown fading back into the facade that was his natural resting face. The tapping continued, accompanied by a bit of digging into the bark itself. Was that the cause of the groaning? Was this kid some kind of nature-user, or a telekinetic? Or perhaps it was something as simple as geomancy in general. Kypher didn't like simple. It left too many things open for interpretation, too many more things to consider. Complexity had a pattern, a code that could be learnt and dealt with swiftly, but it could easily outdo you if you weren't careful. That was what made Kypher dangerous. He was a complex person with a very simple power.

As the boy spoke, Kypher did not respond and merely gave the girl next to him a sidelong glance instead. She could deal with this how she wished, he didn't particularly feel like getting involved himself. Kypher had better things to do than take part in small talk with someone who introduced himself with that kind of opening. He glanced away again noncommittally, staring off into the distance at the lake again as it glistened in the moon light. It seemed so inviting, so beautiful. So... powerful.

You'd think the people in charge of this would've thought of a better way to throw a party. A fire was a surefire way (HA! Get it? FIRE? Ah, screw it...) to pick out the pyromaniacs in the crowd. It's like they wanted him to burn off everyone's clothes. Not so he could see them all naked. Just because he could.

Not everything was about lust.

Hearing a giggle, Baxter's eyes swung around to see a girl who'd also been sitting "too close" to the fire. Interesting. She must've been one of the "Good" Fire students. Though she radiated with the Good he'd been hearing about, there was nevertheless something interesting about her. By the way she averted her eyes, it was clear she'd noticed he was also a pyromaniac.

Smirking, he thought, Doesn't she realize averting your eyes is a clear challenge to someone like me? The old man would be proud.

He was just about to follow her and strike up a conversation full of witty fire puns (that he'd make up on the spot) when someone else sat down next to him. Glancing at the boy and giving him a onceover, it seemed he was your typical "nice boy." How exhausting. He'd had a taste of nice boy once, and it was bland and hardly amusing. Nice boys tended to not know how things worked, like when ya boy was going to hit on a cute girl.

Still, Baxter found he couldn't register the feeling he believed applied here: pissed off. Emotions were too exhausting to deal with, so he had locked his away and didn't allow them to process. He only had two feelings now, and two feelings only: lust and excitement, the latter of which had been aroused by this beautiful fire.

He processed the boy's words and nearly laughed. Him? Lonely? That was a hoot. Maybe this boy would be entertaining after all. "I'm afraid you're mistaken," Baxter simpered with a quirked eyebrow. "I was having a lovely conversation with Miss Fire here, who's been having a simply dreadful time at this party. You see, nobody wants to hang out with her, save for us pyromaniacs, and since she's the center of the party, it's made her feel lonely. I took it upon myself to give her company. So you see, I am not lonely at all." What he didn't say was that it was naive to assume someone was lonely simply because they were alone. Even his jackass tendencies took a backseat sometimes.

But oh, did he wish he was talking to the fire girl right about now. Something told him she'd be a bit more...stimulating.

Robus was put off-guard by Baxter's response.

"O-oh! I'm sorry to assume, believe me! Though, talking to fire seems like an interesting pastime at a party. From what I've heard people usually try to socialize!" Robus nervously said, ignoring the pyromaniac comment. Robus, now knew that baxter was a Fire elemental, that was fine. Totally fine, they reassured themselves.

"Should I say hello to the fire? I feel like I should," Robus said suddenly, not being able to control themselves in that moment. They gave a small wave to the fire, still very clearly out of his element (Ba dum tss).

Fiametta found minor entertainment as this new character wandered their way into an obviously forced conversation with Mr. Candlestick - boredom had seeped into her brain by this point. She wanted to think of the non-pyro as brave but observation of their body language proved that oblivious would fit a bit better - poor thing. Their vibes weren't meshing at all. This allowed the distant onlooker to entertain herself by creating a story, imagining a conversation they might be having, though as she watched their lips weren't moving all that much. Isn't this a little hot for you?[/] She mused silently, sipping at her cup and suppressing a chuckle.

Nonetheless, having this bubbly atmosphere shoving against the boy's original aura gave the both of them a much more approachable personification. So the shy firefly tucked away her nerves and crossed back to them quietly, possibly too quietly. "...say hello to the fire..." Fia tucks a hair behind her ear. "I... do think she would appreciate it." It's impossible to tell whether her tone is sarcastic or simply childish and playful as she also offers a nod to the flicker and swish of the completely inanimate flame.

Robus' jumped instinctively at the new voice. They lifted their arm up in defence, and then realized they were in a public situation and quickly put their arm down. They cleared their throat and apologized quickly.

"Uhm, hi, Fire nice to meet you! It is a lovely evening, if I do say so myself!" They said, putting on their best smile and talking to the fire. Then turning to the new girl to see if they did well, "Was that okay?"

Robus was still very nervous at the new girl, clearly another fire elemental, he just felt out of place, between two opposites.

Eclipse liked her new ally's spunk however he was quite a bore to talk to. She understood not trusting anyone and not wanting to give too much information, but come on he could at least say more than a sentence. However, this is not a time to be picky about allies, so Eclipse had to make do with her mysterious classmate.

Eclipse's attention was then diverted to the boy approaching her and the mysterious figure. He didn't look like a threat at first, to Eclipse he was just another annoying goodie trying to make friends. Alas, when he placed his hand on the tree, his threat level began to rise. Eclipse instantly deduced he was an Earth magic user, her mother was one after all, and so Eclipse picked up on a thing or two. She had a feeling this goodie came over to them with some poor intentions and was not in the mood to deal with them. Eclipse had hoped that the mysterious figure would address the situation and they could go back to soothe silence, but being as useless as ever he averted his attention elsewhere leaving her to deal with the pest.

'I should truly reconsider who I wish for allies.' She thought to herself annoyed and let out a 'hmph.' Eclipse pushed herself slightly away from the tree and glared at the Earth boy. "Oh, nothing much just plotting a plan called None of Your Business, and it's kind of an A, B plan so C you're way out of it." She hissed.

Baxter laughed. “No trouble at all!” Lie. “I’m afraid the word ‘socialize’ has long been absent from my vocabulary.” Extreme lie. The young man offered to say hi to the fire, and Baxter nearly forgot to stop himself from slapping his knee and doubling over. This was more fun than he had anticipated, and he never had fun anymore that wasn’t involved in setting a building on fire.

But never mind that.

Hearing a soft voice join them, Baxter looked up to see Fire Girl standing over them. Her approach had been quiet, completely opposite to spreading flames, but he found that this only intrigued him more. She added to his personification of the fire, and he bit his lip to mask the smile threatening to turn him into a shark. (Though he preferred tiger for reasons still unknown to him.)

Unbelievably, the student between the two pyromaniacs actually said hello to the fire! If this was how every day at this school would go, Baxter had a feeling he would have the time of his life. The amusement grew as the boy turned to Fire Girl for approval.

Hiding his mouth behind his hand, Baxter squeaked in falsetto, “Why, thank you for saying hello to me! I’ve been mighty lonely even with this hunk, Baxter, talking with me. He’s quite the catch, let me tell you. But then again, what Fire user isn’t?” He imitated a girlish giggle and winked at Fire Girl before leaning back and crossing his arms to see how well his performance would be received.

She clamps a hand tight over her mouth. She didn't want to laugh but... god, they made it so easy. A weird impulse to bake them cookies was bubbling up from her warm heart thought, she couldn't tell if it was from pity of their situation or the aura of pure innocence they were emitting. Fia lets a quiet chuckle slide from between her lips and nods at him. "Mhm, that was great. Sounds like she appreciated it." She flashes a look at her fellow pyro and cracks an amused albeit slightly shy smile.

This trickster, Baxter as he has said, couldn't fool her but, for some reason, she felt as though his dialogue would come across as pure magic to the... well, the other magic user. While his entertainment was processing she decided to spark some of her own. Her chin tipped to the ground as she peered at him through fallen locks over her forehead. “Somebody’s bite is worse than their bark...” Fia teases quietly, playing with the interpretation of Baxter’s own words and using them against him. Crossing her arms behind her back she giggles again and traces glowing lines on her palms. “What sort of user are you…?” She murmurs to the student between them.

I would be sitting by a bonfire, kicking my legs in the air while sitting in a seat. Cutely, and almost in a futile attempt, I'd get up and try to blow out the fire! Of course, unbeknownst to anyone, I was simply gently using my air powers, to make the fire dance to my whim! I really didn't care if I'm on fire, I might be, but the details aren't the issue here. It's how I got here that is what matters.

You see, I've been unpacking. By me, I mean myself. Totally, and truthfully. I've had not used my servants to fold my clothings, nor organizing my room. They just... assisted me at my direction. You know, it's really useful to have such dedicated servants on hand to assist you. It really is. People need to hire people more often, as people always like money. Anyway, I'm getting off topic. My servants did all the work, end of story.

So, I decided to spend the rest of the time by making fake snow-angels in my bed. Moving my arms up and down playfully, as if I was having the time of my life! I could hear the door being shut silently, as I could here the muffled snickers from my servents. How insulting. I pay them good gold and they treat me like this! Like I'm some spoiled brat! This is an outrage!

While contemplating a plot to get back at my servants, an announcement appeared. Like legit, it appeared in my hands. How? I just whisked it over from the table. I know, I'm confusing. I speak like that, and you, as the audience, just have to deal with it! Haha! Anyway, I'll continue with my story. It was some pamphlet on school activities, and it mentioned a huge bonfire. Fire.

Like lightning, I dashed as soon as I could to the bonfire. Before me, as a spectacle like no other. I stook my hand out, like my hand was a marshmallow, and my arm was a stick. I used the air magic I could conjour to protect me, and have the flames eat the oxygen instead of hand. It was magical! Soon enough, I was planning to spread the fire all arround! But that is... if anyone will humor me of course...

The boy became disinterested in their conversation, apparently, and walked away. Baxter huffed in mock offense. “I don’t think Miss Fire appreciated that blatant abandonment at all. How rude.” He was tempted to go into his falsetto again, but unfortunately, that tended to hurt his throat. And he’d probably need that for… Well, anyway.

Raising a teasing eyebrow, he turned to Fire Girl and said, “What was that about me and biting? If you’re offering, I won’t say no, but I’ll admit I’m a bit surprised at how straightforward you’re being after only having met me a few minutes ago.” Of course, Baxter was purposely misunderstanding what she had said about his “bite,” but he considered that a part of his charm. Better to move the conversation along than to trudge along pretending you weren’t attracted to the other party.

And, as Baxter had demonstrated, he was quite easily attracted to the other party.

“I assume you’re one of the Goodies? Is it boring on the ‘bright’ side, or is there just as much fun as there is on our dark side.” Really, Baxter couldn’t give a damn about the whole “good” and “evil” distinction, but he was curious about those considered his opposites. He had to know if the people on the side of Good were hot or not.

{I’m good at NPC excuses for a character no longer in play, yes I am.}

She watched as the student emptied the space between her and the other pyro and silently cursed in her head. It wasn't as if Baxter seemed frightening or mean, no, hardly not, it was the fact that he didn't that spread strange vibes to her. Definitely a wolf hiding in sheep wool. Then again, she thought to herself, who here wasn't?

"Yeah, poor thing..." Fia reaches out and pets the fire, letting the flickers of ash run up her fingertips on the way to the sky. She lets herself become distracted just long enough to only catch the end of his playful sentence and a dark blush coats her tan cheeks.

"Wh-... I didn't mean..." she begins to refute, then catches the curl of his lip. Of course. Why would I get flustered over an evil pyro? What do I expect. Fia lets out a sigh and sets a hand on her hip.

"It depends what your idea of fun is. We certainly don't go around setting fires all the time. Or, well..." Her thoughts drifted to an old classmate of hers who made a few... mistakes, shall we say. "...most of us don't, anyway." Shy as she was, Fia couldn't help becoming amused by this character who's supposed to be her polar opposite.
