Her skin is soft with a slightly tanned color to it but still overall on the pale side. She had platinum blond hair that reaches to her mid to lower back and is overall straight with a slight gentle wave to it. Personality:
Randi is a total firecracker almost all of the time. She is energetic, enthusiastic, and has no issues breaking what others might consider social rules and speaking her mind. Some might consider her to be a bit crazy as she has always had a great love for fire and all things hot and has been labeled a pyromaniac because of this. She jokes that she could make a fire out of anything and often times she is proven right. Along with not being afraid to speak her mind, she is also not afraid to challenge others and stand up for herself and her friends. If she catches onto anyone treating her friends wrongly she will not hesitate to roast them alive verbally and would likely make an effort to do so physically as well. Like many Dauntless, Randi seems to be fearless and in fact, it often seems as though she has no fear at all which comes off as recklessness in the eyes of others. In Randi's mind it isn't so much that she is reckless or fearless, she simply just sees no issue with dancing with death with full knowledge that one day death will take the lead. It isn't that she is suicidal or depressed, Randi loves life, but she has no plans on growing old, she doesn't want to get weak or tired, she doesn't want to end up powerless, so she takes the risk of living on the edge with the subtle hope in the back of her mind that one day the edge with crumble. It should also be known that Randi is a huge flirt who is very confident in herself and will hit on just about anyone no matter their age or gender. She is also very funny and isn't afraid to laugh at her own jokes which sometimes leads to her just laughing to herself without ever having uttered a word. Backstory: Randi doesn't exactly know much about her parents other than what her Uncle has told her in passing such as how much she looks like her mother or how she has her father's spunk. What she does know is that when she was very little her family's living space caught fire and it was during that accident that both of her parents died but Randi survived having been pulled from the flames by her Uncle. While Randi was just a toddler during the time of the fire many people began to speculate that it was her who started it though Randi is almost 100% certain that that is not true. Still, it is a rumor that people have spread about her and she has just learned to ignore it over the years. If someone were to bring it up to her she would be likely to either ignore them or sock them in the jaw depending on her mood that day. Randi was raised by her uncle after her parent's death and though she is sure he doesn't realize she has caught onto the fact that he clearly cared deeply for her mother who chose her father over him. While some might see this as a motive for him to have set the fire Randi doesn't believe he did because she doubts his love for her mother ever would have led to him causing her death and raising Randi out of the kindness of his heart.

Spoiler: In Depth History

Randi’s tale of woe begins years before she was born. When her parents, Saint and Salem, were young they both trained hard to create their place in the Dauntless faction. The two met when they were initiates and stuck by each other’s sides from the first day of training until their dying day. Both were Dauntless born however Randi’s father, Saint, was also a Divergent though he hid it well. Being aware of his Divergent status meant he could do everything in his power to hid it and thus keep living his life as normally as he could. What he didn’t count on was Salem also catching the eye of his brother Freight. Freight knew of Saint’s Divergency and had sworn with blood that he would never expose his brother. The two had been closer than anything before Salem entered the picture. However, when it came down to it the bond of brothers was not strong enough to survive heartbreak.

Freight was devastated when Salem never saw him as more than a friend and brother to her beloved. He believed his brother had somehow tricked Salem into loving him with his Divergent abilities which always seemed to give him the extra edge. He watched in rage and agony as the woman he loved got married to Saint and started a family with him. The rage and grief twisted his mind and drove the man to hate his brother more than anything else. He convinced himself that Saint’s Divergency would be a great danger to Salem and Brandish and that it was his duty to protect them. One night when he believed Salem and young Brandish were supposed to be out of the house he snuck in and started a fire. Freight did not know that Salem and Brandish had never left and that the whole family was stuck in the burning house until it was too late. He heard the screams of his brother, Salem, and young Brandish and realized all that he had done. Racing into the flames Freight was only able to save Brandish as the young toddler struggled and tried to pull her parents from where they lay pinned and dead beneath the burning rubble.

Never wanting Brandish to know what he had done and in memory of the brother he killed and the love he lost Freight took Brandish in as his own. He had no idea that for the rest of her life everyone would think she started the fire that killed her parents. In her he could see so much of her parents, her mother’s beauty, her father’s eyes, the spark they both had, but also it seemed there was something more. Freight was able to see it much sooner than others might have noticed because he grew up with Saint, he could tell even at a young age that Brandish was Divergent. She was fearless, she was selfless, she was smart, she was honest, and that made this world a dangerous place for her to live in. Freight remembered the oath he swore to his brother and in doing so he swore another oath to Randi. He swore that she would get to live, that this would be her life and he would hide who she truly was to the best of his ability so she could have a chance. He would not let her die, he would keep her safe, he would hide her Divergency from the world. When she was smart, he would teach her to play dumb, he would teach her to make selfless deeds acts of bravery so people would mistake them for thrill seeking, he would teach her to speak her mind so others might view her honesty as shameless behavior rather than candor. In order to best protect Randi Freight hid who she truly was from her, even on the day of her aptitude test when he altered her results to show her as Dauntless. Randi has no idea she is Divergent and Freight fears the day she finds out the truth and so much more.

Appearance: Fable Morvo is a rare beauty who, due to her unique genetic traits, has always stood out in her birth faction. Her bright red hair always made her a colorful flicker of light in a faction that leaned so heavily towards the bland shades of gray. Fable's hair is long and has a natural wave to it that when the light hits just right makes it look like a dancing flame with every step she takes. Her hair is not the only unique thing about her though, perhaps her most striking feature is her eyes. Fable was born with heterochromia, a genetic trait that resulted in her left eye being a bright leafy green color while her right eye is ice cold blue. Her lips are a natural soft pink shade and her skin is fair in color due to spending a good amount of her time indoors growing up rather than outside running around like teenagers should. Her figure is still surprisingly fit with beautiful curves that she is more than happy to show off now that she is in a faction where such actions aren't frowned upon.

Personality: From a young age it was pretty clear that Fable did not belong within her birth faction. The young girl always had the urge to show up and stand out in her own ways rather than be apart of the lifeless herd she felt her family and their faction to be. She was always rebellious in her own ways, her mother even telling her that the way she looked with her hair and eyes felt like a rebellion despite the fact that Fable couldn't control how genetics made her look. She has a lot of heart and can be very sweet and forgiving towards those who wronged her but that doesn't mean she won't learn from those events and come back stronger the next time around. She is willing to fight and wants to earn her place in her new faction which can be hard at times since she still has the selflessness of Abnegation ingrained in her memory after sixteen years spent being told to give up everything for others. She knows that the dauntless do not operate in that way and so, while it is hard at times, she is learning to be selfish and take what she wants. She doesn't want to be rude or make enemies but she refuses to be pushed around because of her birth faction. If someone tries to take what is hers she will fight them for it but if you ask nicely she will still be willing to give freely and without complaint. Fable still believes in two absolute truths, the first being that "A kindness is never wasted", the second being that "kindness should never be mistaken for weakness". If you choose to challenge her or belittle her you can be certain that she will do everything she can to prove you wrong. Go right ahead and tell her she isn't good enough and tell her she isn't strong enough because that will just give her the drive she needs to prove you and everyone who ever doubted her wrong.

Backstory: Growing up in Abnegation was not a fun time for Fable. Her mother was not Abnegation born and thus felt she always needed to prove how dedicated she was to the faction by dragging Fable through the mud and putting her down whenever she had the chance. Her father did not stop her since he believed his wife was selfless in her efforts to make their daughter a better member of their faction. Since before Fable could walk her parents had her wearing colored contacts that turned her heterochromatic eyes into a dull and lifeless brown color instead of its natural bright green and ice blue. When she was younger her parents would also dye her hair to take away its fiery color and cut it short because they feared Fable took too much pride in its beauty. When Fable got older she put her foot down and when her mother tired to forcibly dye and cut her hair Fable took the shears and lopped off a chunk of her mother's hair, threatening to cut off more than that if her mother tried to come near her with scissors ever again. Her father was not happy about this and disciplined her firmly with a belt, a punishment that wasn't all too uncommon in Fable's life, leaving her with some pretty nasty cuts and scars. Still, her mother never tried to fix her hair again though Fable was still forced to wear the colored contacts and endure the other degrading behaviors her mother insisted on putting her through because she claimed the would keep her "humble and kind"; only putting up with it in order to fend off her father's wrath. Her parents were both enraged when they found out she did not place in Abnegation for her aptitude test and despite being punished Fable was over the moon with her results. The first chance Fable got to leave her life in Abnegation behind she took it with both hands and has never looked back.

Appearance: Night's hair is black and the typical cut for a former Abnegation boy, short and buzzed. His eyes are brown like his skin but from a distance seem as dark as his hair. His mouth is usually caught in a grin and is accompanied by a small amount of stumble. His triangular-shaped head sits on top of his body making his total height 5'10. He has strong posture but due to his former life at Abnegation he doesn't have much muscle mass, only a small amount from the charity work.

Personality: Night is an excellent example of Abnegation. He's the kind of boy who will sit quietly and wait, the timid kind, the one who gives so much of his time to strangers that he forgets himself. But that's not who he wants to be, just the person his parents and faction taught him to be. He does admire parts of Abnegation, he's loyal and kind or at least tries his best to be. But the part of his personality that he had to hide in Abnegation was his courageous but also impulsive side.

He loves the feeling of doing something that gets his heart kicking, feels him with life. But this side of him is also rowdy as well as cocky, which is why he kept it contained, out of respect for his parents. He wants to be selfless like them, but can't help feeling selfish. He wants to feel alive but doesn't want to disappoint those who he loves. Once he chooses to let his blood fall in the hot coals of Dauntless, he lets his former faction know who he truly is. As he embraces the side he wanted all along, he can feel himself slipping away from all of Abnegation, even the parts he admires.

Night is quite clever and knows that he is capable of achieving great feats. But this adds to his ignorant selfish side which he was taught was wrong but can't seem to rid himself of. His high opinion of himself leads to him taking even the smallest things personally. Despite this, Night also feels the need to be liked by most people which leads him to try and make friends with the people around him, especially the hardest to reach. Night has the ambition to become better and still feels the urge to help those in need. Though sometimes these traits oppose each other.

Backstory: Night was born to two loving parents who taught him the ways of their faction. He was a good follower of Abnegation's traditions but always felt like a part of him was missing. This part only surfaced in the small sprints of Abnegation life. He chased the feeling but at the same time felt bad about it. He went on with his life, mostly bored but managing to find small bits of joy in being selfless.

Now Night was a single child but managed to make many friendships, only a few of which lasted. The most noteworthy of these was his best friend, Zamantha East, who he also had a huge crush on. She too felt the urge to be free from Abnegation and convinced Night they were both going to join Dauntless. They spent most of their time together whether doing charity work or pretending they were Dauntless. Hiding his true feelings about Abnegation from his parents he knew one day he would have to tell them, or he could just show them.

When it came time for the choosing ceremony, Night was ready to change his life. He couldn't think of anything else, even when Zamantha wanted to talk. She ended up just saying nothing of importance but having a look in her eyes which Night didn't notice. As he cut his hand and let the blood fall into the hot coals his heart was beating so fast, he loved that feeling. He was excited despite seeing his parents' sad faces. Nothing could decrease his hype, that was until Zamantha let her blood fall onto the grey stone. He felt betrayed, he got the life he wanted but not the person he wanted to spend it with. He wanted to ask her why, but never got the chance. He had to go with his new faction and leave the old one behind, no matter how hard it was.

He has dark brown hair that depending on the day tends to be curly or straight or a mix of the two and tends to be longer on the top and trimmed shorter on the sides. Personality: Thorn is not what one might expect from most dauntless born initiates. He is very calm, happy, and peaceful which causes those around him to think less of him as a member of dauntless since he isn't eager to jump into the fight like others are. He prefers to talk things out, listen, meditate, and come to peace rather than violence and he doesn't care if that makes him look weak. He almost always has a smile on his face even if he is having the worst day of his life or is going through some serious depression, which happens a lot. He doesn't like bothering others with his personal issues and often leaves them bottled up and tries to ignore how it tears him up inside. He looks for any reason he can find to be happy and when he can't find a ray of sunshine he is the sort of person who will look for stars in the darkness. Backstory:
Growing up Thorn was often made fun of and targeted by those around him because he would rather turn the other cheek when others were unkind rather than fight back. His forgiving nature and lack of lust for violence and combat brought great shame to his father and uncle who were higher-ranking members of the Dauntless faction. His father and uncle figured that if they beat him enough they would be able to toughen Thorn up and turn him into a true Dauntless. Any time Thorn did anything that they viewed to be against dauntless ways they would punish Thorn with beatings and depriving him of basic needs such as food or water until the boy was on the brink of death. One morning when Thorn was caught acting in a "shameful way", meaning he was ignoring a bully rather than fighting him, his uncle dragged him into his father's shop and the two older men began to deal out their punishment by adding yet another burn to Thorn's chest. When Thorn struggled to get away his uncle hit him upside the head with a metal bar and knocked Thorn out. When he came back into consciousness Thorn found that he was missing his sight in his left eye and still is to this day. When Thorn had the chance to choose Amity over Dauntless he found he was too afraid to risk the wrath of his family by switching to Amity and ended up remaining in Dauntless, a choice that he has regretted since the second he made it.

Or an adult who is a tattoo artist? Because that would be difficult to find interactions for since its all about the initiates.

Nornslayer Yeah, like Nerdy said, an initiate who dabbles in tattoo artistry would definitely work! But since all of our instructor positions are currently taken, we would struggle to accommodate someone who has already graduated initiation.

And he’s either an apprentice specifically for tattoo or specifically for tattoo (still being an initiate) already able to be a tattoo artist, whatever works for you! I’m not entirely sure how it goes in the book/movies or real world tattoo industry so I’ll leave that up to you since it’s your thread and I don’t want to throw anything off!
