Be still, My Beating Servos
Inspired by several CLAMP manga (mostly xxxHolic and Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles) and my own inability to stick with a genre and plot, I've been wanting to toy around with the concept of dimension hopping. If you're unfamiliar with this concept; Essentially, it involves taking the cast of main characters (usually who come from wildly different worlds themselves) and throwing them into a completely unfamiliar story, having them solve a problem, and then doing it all again. The dimensions can be anything: A generic dating sim, a fantasy world caught in a war between factions, a murder mystery set an island, the list goes on and on.
The overarching plot will revolve around my character, Inari, who is a seasoned dimension hopper and a witch with a nasty gambling habit. Because of her lack of self preservation and a need to start conflicts to fill her immortal existance, she hops from dimension to dimension, meddling into other people's lives, using the guise of a semi-harmless traveling fortune telling. Her constant wagers has left her with numerous losses, but she has managed to rake in some winnings, which is where your characters come in!
Your characters are part of Inari's 'winnings', people that, through some way or another, are stuck being her traveling servants and bodyguards. Your character can look however you want, have any power you want, but you physically cannot leave Inari's side. (Unless, of course, you wanna be stuck in some unknown dimension with absolutely no knowledge of where you are and what to do.) Hijinks ensue as the three of you attempt to stumble through whatever plot I think up relatively unharmed.
