Penance
We have returned.
Dimension Bellum. A entire dimension devoted to war. From the tiniest solar systems to the entire galaxy is nothing but territorial war. In one solar system there are 5 planets. Each with a race of creatures there with unique skills and are all of course at each other's throats. Luckily none of them have made the first move to conquer a planet but all it takes is time....however! There are a group which are comprised of one race from each planet and are all trying to stop this war.
The five races are:
The crentarians. A race of human like crystal creatures that are very proud of themselves. their skeletons are made of a purple crystal instead of bone. As they age the crystals protrude out of random spots on their body. By the time they are 60 they are covered completely in crystal. Their planet named simply blue because of the cold atmosphere and the various blue crystals that dot the planet.
The zenith. A race of bugs with a wisdom light years beyond most. The race doesn't really have a personality since they all just act like soldiers for their queen, A giant bug lady as big as a 18 wheeler. Most of their talents are their wisdom and their amazing construction abilities. Their planet has been named the hive for obvious reasons and the fact that everyone lives in tunnels underground.
The goton. A race of creatures made purely out of rocks and boulders and have an amazing talent for building anything metallic. Armor, weapons, airships, etc. they're mostly a lone wolf type race that usually distance themselves from each other. In fact a town full of gotons is practically a myth. Their planet has been named ore after all the types of ore found in the multiple mountains on the planet.
The xentus. A race of green slime people that can shape shift into any form or color. In formal meetings however it's rude to not attend in your original form....which is looks like just a big green slug. They're main set of skills are of course spying and intelligence gathering. Their planet is called fortis after a great xentus warrior but everyone else just refers to it as ick.
the hinarta. A race of barbarians. Their physical bodies are machines powered but some unknown mystical force. However they do not act like machines. They have fully fledged personalities and whole thoughts. But....most of those thoughts are about destruction and chaos. They are thought to be the ones to win the war because not only are they skilled in combat but they are also the most technological advanced race ever. In fact their entire planet is nothing but one big city with highly advanced skyscrapers and other high tech things. Because of this their planet has be named the city.
And finally The Serai'Drakhoul (Dredge, the more common Name for these creatures) ... a race of intimidating, multi limbed, armored draconic like parasitic creatures which arrived through a wormhole that opened up not to long ago and crashed landed on one of the more hostile moons in the system. They quickly adapted to the environment as their wont and established themselves a small enclave there on that almost barren moon.
The Dredge are not foes to be trifled with, most standing over 8 to 9 feet tall (though the older, Ancients, have reached sizes of small houses), multi limbed claws, a maw that opens all the way down to the chest and being all around scary organisms would deter most from attacking or troubling them. However, they are highly valued as dogs of war for their undeniable prowess on everything from the front lines to special operations. While the species as a whole is rather violent, it is all in the graces of challenging themselves to be the best they can be... however the rest of the galaxy, this system included, see them more as nothing more than just as said above... Dogs of War. Mindless war beasts which can be unleashed upon their foes without so much as a care as to which one dies... though its generally the enemy.
In reality however, there are not many Dredge left in the galaxy, having been hunted mercilessly. For good reason.
While they are highly intelligent creatures on their own, with the right host species and surroundings they could become a tidal wave of unstoppable force. Being left alone is not an option sadly for these creatures, so they tag along to whatever host they can manage to find and wander mostly, lost and abandoned in the vast reaches of space.
But make no mistake, a single Dredge can wipe out a small team of soldiers, let alone civilians. Adaptability is their biggest strength, their most effective weapon, be it in the zero atmo of space to the crushing depths of the Ocean... they can survive, and survival ladies and gentlemen... is what the Dredge are truly about.

I'd like to have at least 5 people to start but if I can't get that much then that's cool
