You have been elected by the director of Department 7 to become a field operative and protect the public. Due to the new laws enacted by the World Council on the dawn of the 24th century, your introduction and training will be overseen by both me and some of the most effective of your soon to be colleagues. You will need to be at the front of the Department building by 7:30am. There you will be greeted by Escort and given a tour of the building. From that moment, you become an operative. Setting


The year is 2305. Humanity has expanded beyond the edges of the galaxy. While stuff is going on the out rims of the known universe, Earth has changed a lot.


Humanity has unified and there are barely any internal conflicts, all due to the formation of the World Council, which is like the government controlling all planetary matters, and the different Departments. Department 7 is the one in charge of maintaining order, on earth, protecting the public, on earth, and cracking down on crime, on earth.


Technology has also improved, with some of the prototypes and theories that we are thinking about today are almost common in 2305. Cybernetics and augmentation is around but due to their ability to hide weapons and other useful objects, there are heavy regulations in place to limit them. The main weapons being used are Gauss, magnetic acceleration, and Gyro jet, bullets with small rockets on the end. I would go on forever but... I don't want to make the limit too big, see down there.


Department 7 has lately come under an onslaught of horrible incidents, including the mysterious disappearance of the previous director, multiple unknown gunfights and operatives going rogue. However, it has been a full year since the Department has had any "incidents" and due to the lack of staff they have, they need more recruits. Your characters would be at home, typing on a computer or something when, the letter from above appears...





Tone and What I am Expecting


In general, whatever the hell you want to be, except crazy and etc. The reason why I am allowing this in the first place is because the characters that I have created for this universe are pretty much slightly nutty in their own way. I have a character that spends each day, playing video games, writing code and drinking grape soda.


As for posts, I don't want them to be ridiculously long, maybe I will have the longest posts because I am usually a bit round about in how I write, but something about my length. At first, I will introduce your characters to the ones that I have created, then I will go through training. Each character might have a different training set, due to the fact that the top Ten operatives are very specialised... Except for the first two. After that, prepare for the shenanigans.

Not sure if any of you mob would be interested in this, but here y'are. Just picked some people I knew who are at least decent roleplayers. This should get players, especially since @Deltorian Nephran is not a shit-tier GM, doesn't flake at the drop of a hat, and he's a IRL friend, so I have some personal bias.
