Futuristic Dead End: Zombie Apocalypse Rp

I'll go out for food, we'll split up into two groups, two people each group" tonk said. "We'll all be back by sundown, and that's final, even if you find a sanctuary, you have to come back so we don't come looking for you, does everyone have that clear" Tonks then moves on to the couch and looks around the room and also sees that Nia brought zebra cakes, "Oh sweet, thanks nia you're the best". He took a bite and signed with exhaustion, he remembered how bad these things were but he didn't care at all

Charlotte jumped when Nia came in the door. She hadn't the slightest clue she had left in the first place, and she doubted anyone else had either. "Wow, thank you!" Charlotte said. It was a simple thing to say, but she had passion in her voice over it. It wasn't really anything big, but it was more than Charlotte did. She would never be confident enough to step outside without a group, and even then she was hesitant to do so. She unwrapped the treat slowly, trying to savor it. It may not be healthy but it was the only thing she might be having for awhile if their search didn't come out successful. She remembered faintly not caring for things like this, she didn't have much of a sweet tooth, but its amazing what starvation can do to a person. She took a bite, closing her eyes and leaning her head back against the wall. Considering the circumstances, it was possibly the best thing she had ever tasted now.

"I want to go in the food group," Charlotte said, opening her eyes. The small nourishment made her confident, and she couldn't sit in the building anymore anyways. She had to get moving. "If I stay here any longer I think i'll explode. Plus it might make me feel better to do something productive," she said. She took another bite of her zebra cake. Somehow it tasted even better than the first bite. "Seriously, Nia, you're the bomb," she mumbled with her mouth full.

Nia ducked her head and dropped her eyes, feigning guilt at Dallas' words...and then smiled at the other two for their words of praise. Her eyes moved away from them and to the wall over their heads and she chewed slowly on her own sweet cake. She couldn't help the dark thought that entered her mind: they're all going to die anyway. If only they knew what truly went on in the head of the smiling woman. She often made light of their situation, of the situation of the world...but the woman buried deep in her mind was anything but light.

With a sigh and quick motion that shoved the rest of the cake into her mouth, she raised her hand and said to Charlotte,

"Let's go together." She grinned and shot her wink, then looked to the boys. "We have--I--have lady things to handle anyway. You guys don't wanna know." Talk about a rock and a hard place when it came to being a woman when the world went to hell.

"Okay, Dallas you're with me, oh and what do you both want to take, clothing or food ladies" Tonks said with a smile. Tonks then started thinking, this was his only family, these were his people and he'd do anything to prevent their death, especially charlotte, she was the weakest and he didn't want anything to happen to her. He then took a bite out of his funnel cake and just thought about the past, how easy it was, how simple it was. Tonks then ate the whole thing on the last bight and laughed, laughed at the thought that a zebra cake could be his last meal.

Jasper

Jasper was alone, waiting for something to happen, it was eerily silent and unusually Jasper didn't react to the silent, until a gunshot broke the silence followed by a short scream which Jasper ignored. the silences must mean something Jasper thought, beacause if it didn't, it would be waist to pay attention to it, it was the one Times Jasper really had to focus on one thing, he had to work out a way to rob a police station that wasn't looted without drawing attention to himself...

The quiet repertoire of his leather soles off of the slickened grass was untouched by the dead leaves piled around Gavin. Living off of the land had given him a hardened edge when it came to watching his step. The highway could've been much faster, but the forest was safer. Trees and branches lanced at any exposed skin they could, cutting into his flesh and leaving small cuts. They always did. Sighing, Gavin took a knee and spooled white cloth from the bag on his back. The length was getting short. Another priority. Wrapping the makeshift bandage over his one arm, he used it as a form of a ram to push aside the thorny twigs without consequence. There were homes up ahead, to be sure, but no doubt emptied over the past months. He rarely intervened in whoever went around town. Gavin distanced himself on purpose. Closing the backpack and replacing it onto his back, he exited the treeline and skittered down a small embankment. Walking at a crouch, he placed his hands on a house corner and peaked around into the parallel alleyway. Nothing. Using this process, Gavin maneuvered himself farther up town until the firehouse was across the street. Veering his head to both directions, he lowered the large wrench and dashed across the street, putting a shoulder into the oaken door.

Albert walked along the highway. He was currently heading outside the city to look for a shelter that he could hold up in during the winter. As he walked he took the liberty to check the cars to see if anything was useful. Sadly the cars either had junk from the family that previously owned them or were looted. Disappointed he continued walking until he grew tired and decided to take a rest in a Volkswagen he came upon. As he moved closer to inspect the vehicle he saw that it was a wreck with torn and bloodstained seats along with the drivers door completely off its hinges and a broken windshield. He looked in the back and under the car to make sure nothing will get the drop on him. When he was finished he wiped the drivers seat of glass and sat down took.Minuets pass and Albert decides to look in his backpack. He didn't have much just a unmarked can, half a bag of jerky, and a bottle of water. When he was finished he looked ahead and saw the rest of the highway. Nothing out of the ordinary just some zeds and a sea of cars ranging from operational and broken down and looted. Mostly the latter.

After a few more minuets Albert decides to continue his journey. While walking Albert sees what looks like a car that has crashed into the nearby woods. Curious he walks towards it and soon realizes it's a military Humvee along with long dead soldiers. When he reached the Humvee he readied his shotgun and immediately started searching for anything useful. There wasn't much left from what he saw. It seemed that it was picked clean. Some of the soldiers had bullet holes through their masks while the others had their faces smashed in and had nothing on them. He then opened the backseat door and saw many cases and boxes. Most of them were opened and 3 others locked. The first container was big. Too big to carry on his own. The seconded was long. "Maybe a rifle case?"  He thought. Too big and useless to carry at the moment. The final was a small medical case. Albert was surprised that no one took it and was happy no one did. He took the case and placed it in his bag. He spent a few more minutes searching the truck and found two shotgun shells and a broken pair of binoculars. After his scavenging Albert decided to head back to the highway. When Albert got halfway he saw something in the distance. Due to his mask he couldn't see fully, so he reluctantly removed it and used the recently found binoculars. It took a moment for him to see what he was looking at and was horrified. A horde was approaching. Once he saw the horde he quickly reapplied his mask and ran into the woods.

"We will take the food," said Charlotte. "We saw an old supermarket on the way here - we all saw it. It has probably been looted, but it could be our best bet. Plus, there are typically many homes around supermarkets. Hopefully we won't need to go into any, but in case the supermarket is all out, we can check there." She said, sounding more confident than she felt. She wasn't sure how she was going to do this, she didn't even have a weapon, not a proper one atleast. Not many people did, and those who had guns typically ran out of bullets early or didn't use them because the sound would draw the zombies to them. Charlotte shivered, thinking about how dangerous what they were going to do was, but she had no choice. They needed food, and she needed to be a valuable asset to their group. She didn't want to be the baby or slow everyone down. She wanted to feel important. She swallowed her fear, looking to the others for their plan.

"Alright, lets mooove out" Tonks said. He went over to the girls and wished them luck and then went back to his teammate and said "you ready". He looked over at the girls, they looked ready but also looked extremely nervous, Tonks wanted them to be safest, he knew he would take a bullet for any of these people, they were his family.

The shatter of the hinges holding the door echoed inside the dark interior of the firehouse. Muttering a swear to himself, Gavin crept inside swiftly, ears tuning out the sounds of Nate outside. There was a quiet dripping, similar to the oil leak, upstairs. Water damage soaked the ceiling, the drywall stained and heavy. No doubt a pump broke without any maintenance. Where would they keep their tools? In the truck bay? Gavin was in the dormitory rooms. He'd have to go downstairs. Kneeling, he pulled the matches from the nondescript bag before striking one alight. It offered very little visibility, but it sure as hell beat walking blind. The wooden staircase creaked under him with every heavy step, playing like a piano before he reached flat ground. Turning into the empty bay, he heard the clicking of teeth and bones rattling against one another several feet from him. Was it worthwhile to empty the room? There could be more concealed. Creeping forward, Gavin blew out the match as he silently paced the room. There was an extended amount of time between each step, before his outstretched hands touched the wall. Groping around, he'd slam his knee off of a wooden frame. Silently grimacing, Gavin looped his fingers around the contained lid before raising it. A moshpit of varied tools was seen in the dim lighting, hoses and oxygen tanks. Gavin dug through the rummage, gripping his hands around a rubberized grip before lifting the heft into both palms. The red blade had an elongated pick on the back, like a pickaxe. Gavin stepped aside, navigating to a doorway evident by the light peeking under and around it. Turning the knob, he stepped out into the golden light with his much needed tool. He could make it through winter at this rate.

Dallas looked over at the other group. He was worried about splitting up, though he would never admit that to anyone. He didn't want someone getting hurt, or worse dying, and not being able to do anything to stop it. He took a deep breath and grabbed his gun.

"Yeah, let's go," he said.

The boys went first, and Charlotte went behind them out the door, Nia coming in last. They split up, Dallas and Tonks going wherever it was that they were going. Nia and Charlotte headed off in the direction of the supermarket. Charlotte's confidence was leaving as fast as it had come, and every sound was making her jump - even the ones that she made. She was trying to be as quiet as possible, but the silence was getting to her. "Do you have any weapons?" she asked Nia in a low voice.

Mari was walking around when she heard some noises and hide in a car and accidentally slammed the door and the noise made her yell. zombies start circling the car, and Mari was thinking and when nothing came up she starts praying "oh god please allow me to take on another day of this hell for my past friends I promise to keep going for amen" she hides in the back

Dallas walked out with Tonks in front of Nia and Charlotte and started down the road as the other group went in the opposite direction. He headed down the road in silence, holding his gun so he would be prepared for any surprises. He heard a noise ahead on the road and held up his gun, then saw the zombies surrounding a car. He turned so he was facing Tonks and nodded to the group of zombies.

"There's someone in there," he said. "I'm gonna help them, you coming?"

Mari looks out the widow slightly and whispers "n-no not people! I can't stay here...." she sighs and decides and pushed the door open and grabbed a zombie and held it at bay while moving away from Tonks and Dallas and the zombie got to close and pushed her down "No no no no no! God help me!" she starts struggling while crying making her vison blur and she screams not caring if the people help her she just wants to keep her many promises

Maddie entered the supermarket, her pocket knife in hand, covered in a fresh coat of blood by the zombie she killed just outside of the doorway. She wandered the aisles, searching for something, anything, useful. Most of the food was taken or left open. She cursed the idiots who let the food get stale so others couldn't have it.

Dallas ran forward, not waiting for Tonks to respond. This girl needed help as fast as possible. He didn't want to shoot unless he had to, but to help her there were no other choices. He aimed at the zombie that had pushed her down and pulled the trigger, shooting it in the head. The sound of the gunshot rang through the air and he winced, knowing that the dead could hear it for miles. They had to get out of there fast. He shot two more times and reached Mari, yanking the zombie off.

Mari got up quickly and backed up slowly "n-no.... no more bullies!" and closes her eyes very afraid her paint is dripping from sweat

Albert leaned against a picket fence and was coughing violently. He ran for 30 minutes through the woods and stopped when he came in contact with a neighborhood. His heart was pounding and his lounges were on fire. He sat down and removed his mask, so he could breathe. As he started to recollect himself Albert heard yelling. He reapplied his mask and got up slowly. He walked towards the front of the house and looked down the street and saw a group of zombies surrounding a car with someone inside. About ten from what he could see. He also saw a group of people. He couldn't tell if they're bandits or not. Albert thought over his options. Help them and risk being bitten or them turning on him. Or leave them and head towards town. When The girl tried to escape Albert made up his mind and decided to help. He started running towards the car and was trying to grab his hammer when a man from the group shot one and started helping her. Knowing that some zombies heard the shots he said screw it and started firing at the zombies with his shotgun trying to help by killing and gaining the zombies attention, so the others could get away.

Dallas silently thanked the man shooting at the zombies and grabbed Mari's arm.

"What the fuck are you thinking?" he snapped. "You've gotta come with me! Get out of here! More are gonna get over here soon, you can't stay."

Mari screamed pulling her arm away and fell to the ground crawling away "no! I wont go with you! people are sick! I would have liked to die...."

Nia nodded to Charlotte, glad the other woman was stepping up and calling a few shots this time. Nia had a natural tendency to take charge, but that didn't mean she liked it. She was so afraid she'd be the one to get them all killed...it was nice to hear a new voice being loudest for once. She stepped in line, breaking off from the boys alongside her companion.

"Yes, yes, and yes." Nia told her with a cheery grin--unfitting for this dark world--as she pulled back layers of clothes to reveal her various weapons. All knives. A machete on her waist, a large kitchen knife now in her hand, a pocket knife in her pocket, and two other kitchen knives, one at her back and the other strapped to her leg. She wasn't going down without a fight.

"Why, you need one?" She asked it with a frown. Surely Charlotte had something to keep herself safe with. She didn't know the other girl that well, but if she'd managed to survive more than a week, which she obviously had, then she would have to have something to kill the dead people with...

They entered the supermarket and Nia saw a figure moving between the isles. Fear gripped her, and she raised her knife. She then whispered to Charlotte,

"Let's make noise and draw them out to us. Better to kill them now then be surprised by them while collecting spam..." Her brown eyes were large and her heart slammed against her chest. No matter how many she killed, and no matter how long she lived in this godforsaken world, the zombies always made her heart race.

Maddie found a couple cans shoved into the back of a shelf surrounded by boxes of crayons. She smiled at her find and shoved the cans into her backpack.

Dallas shot two more zombies, trying to get time. He had to think fast and get her out of there, but he didn't want to scare her by using physical force. It seemed all other options were gone. He pointed the gun at Mari's head.

"Get up and follow me," he said. "I'll let you go when we're out of here."

Mari looked up at he gun and tears up "M-Mom was right! you all are sick! but I have no other choice" she gets up crying and following but slowly
