Fantasy Dark carnival

Jecklyn

Real life mermaid
For years carnivals have been around. Back in the dark ages, travelers would perform and dance and show off wares and exotic pets. There was always a sense of mystery and danger about the lively groups, and one particular one even more so.

It seems to have been around since the beginning of entertainment itself, slowly growing in size and numbers. Its seen as a great time, fair prices and good food. But it also has a darker side, with rumors of death and disappearances. Every so often, someone disappears when they are in town, but either the authorities can't find anything wrong with the place, or the entire carnival is gone in a few hours time, leaving nothing but strange stains on the grass, mostly from spilt drinks and food, others a bit more curious.

Statistically, its as safe as any other carnival. Sure, a few people get hurt or become sick from the rides and food, and a few more get their wishes granted. It’s a well kept secret that the carnival manager has the power to grant any wish you have. Its an even better kept secret that the price of the wish is worse.

Will this traveling caravan strike again? Granting a wish for some darker price? Or will it continue on without any new additions to its ranks?

We will be playing as the cursed carnies of the Lower berth, a carnival that travels all across america. Each one of us has had a wish made true, but a price has been made as well. I was wondering how much interest this would generate?
