Hello Everyone,


I am looking to DM a 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons campaign.I have DM'd several custom and pre-made campaigns over the past 2-3 years. This will only be my second campaign done on a forum, but I am confident we can make it run smoothly. I already have a story brewing. I am just filling out details like shop inventories, random NPC backgrounds and DC checks. Whether you are from the other D&D interest check or fresh into meeting me, welcome. I hope we can get things going very soon.

Even though my current situation screws with me abit, ie: drafted into a home renovation project, I can indeed play still, when I have time in the evening.


In 5th edition wizards got abit of a buff early on, helping them stay relevant in the first levels, I think I'll go either wizard or sorcerer.


Are we rolling our statistics or simply having a point buy? Or perhap one or the other. Or maybe we calculate the stats of our character by calculating the direct distances between us and the various other planets in the solar system and then finding the square root of that distance, then dividing that number by 3.


Also any restrictions or something a common fool would know about the world?

For character stats we will be doing a point buy with no stat higher than 15 and no stat lower than 8. 27 points and you can use this calculator if you'd like

No stat higher then 15, including racial mods?


The character sign up page should be already there in the basic thread, if somethings up just hit up the mod, he's pretty quick at fixing stuff.

sorry about the 72 questions I'm slinging, just trying to get everything down.

No problem. I am happy to answer any questions. Chances are you arent the only one who wants answers.


We will be sticking to the basic races from the players handbook. You could change the sub-race for flavored text reasons, but don't alter stats.

Right, going with a lightfoot halfing wizard, never played a halfling before, should be fun.


Won't get a huge bonus to int but down the road our stats can only get so high really, so pish posh.


Will have trouble reaching high up places, guess I'll just have to take mage hand.

Awesome! I love to see players who aren't so worried about min-maxing. We will be starting as level 1 characters, but you should have a plan layed out up to at least level 3 because we will be gaining xp pretty fast.


I am working on an IC and OOC threat now. I think everyone will really enjoy this story.

Sounds cool, been play pathfidner alot, a game were you kinda have to go hard on the whole stats and feats to even do a lick of damage, in %e its less oriented towards it, find it easier to do that sort of thing.

If anyone is planning to be a paladin/cleric/monk or character of faith I hope you will consider Pelor as your deity. Pelor is the primary god in our starting city and will come up again in the story.

Keeping my dwarf druid - partly because I worked hard to get her to work, and partially because I have too much work to do to make someone else up right now...

Not a problem GinjaGen. If we dont get any more players in here I may create 1 or 2 to fill in the gaps. If so I will make a character faithful to Pelor.
