The thick morning air glows with ambient sunlight as workers begin to shuffle out of their homes and hovels toward an uncertain fate.
For others, however, time stands still in this city.
Mercenaries, Businessfolk, and all other manner of rats and weasels that live beyond the sight of Yutani-Kandel, all of them exist in a world that stops for none.
Deals made, sales completed, and lives taken, all tireless and in full supply.
You are among many in positions just like this, struggling or thriving in a world as hostile as it is rewarding.
The city is bustling now, the city center is being flooded with workers young and old, the northeast sector is emptying out. The south and east sectors are as dead and automated as always, and the west sector is lit up with the lights and sounds of entertainment, debauchery, and crime.
It is 8:30AM, dirty snow lines streetsides, and the morning security patrol is about to begin.
