    "You can't kill me."

    Character Name: Frank Woods

Canon: Call of Duty: Black Ops timeline (Campaign)

Age: ~38 years old (Born March 20, 1930)

    Attributes:
+ Excellent marksman; even though he prefers an assault rifle, he can still utilize weapons like snipers just as well
+ Fearless in the face of danger; almost nothing can scare him off, albeit that doesn't mean he's suicidal.
+ Notable reflexes and endurance; nothing compared to The Flash or Captain America, but Frank can hold his own pretty well.

    - Relatively stubborn; even if he isn't dumb enough to rush directly into danger, he still doesn't like taking orders.
    - Can hold grudges for a long time; this can be a problem when paired up with 'allies' that seem more than just suspicious to him. To gain his trust can be a somewhat tough task if he even has an inkling that there are some bad vibes around.

    Chosen Ability/Equipment:

Primary Choice: "Health" regeneration, more specifically most effective out of combat. As long as the wound isn't too serious, he can heal it- just probably not in the middle of a fight. Not easily, that is- he can heal up mid-combat, it's just that he's significantly more likely to be pelted too much in battle for his healing to effectively kick in.

Secondary Choice (If regeneration happens to be too overpowered): Heavily modified Colt M16A1, equipped with a Vietnam-era "Reflex" sight, Dual Magazines, and an underbarrel M203 grenade launcher. Did I also mention that it fires FMJ ammo meant to pierce nearly anything?

Personality: A very loud-mouthed yet hardy American Marine, Woods is a stubborn American soldier. He has a short temper and relatively prone to being rude and extremely blunt. His (somewhat given) preference to shooting compared to diplomacy can make “tactical” scenarios a little tough when talking is a necessity. That said, he does have a brain within his brawn, and can analyze situations surprisingly well- most notably shown in canon during Russian Roulette and against Kravchenko.

Bio: Essentially a very dedicated American, Woods is a CIA and SOG soldier who is pretty familiar with war. He, alongside one of his closest comrades, Alex Mason, has participated in many different important battles- including the attempted assassinations of both Fidel Castro, holding off the Vietnamese, and even liberating many American soldiers alongside themselves from a ruthless P.O.W. camp- giving the soldier a lot of experience in shooting things up and all things war-related.

    Alignment: Chaotic Good

Chosen Ability/Equipment:
A spraycan, a business suit and a Glock 18 pistol

Personality:
CJ is depicted as having a considerably less violent personality, occasionally giving his targets a chance to redeem themselves. An example is his failed attempt at convincing Eddie Pulaski to see that he was no more than Tenpenny's pawn. Furthermore, CJ displays genuine remorse for having to kill Ryder and Big Smoke, who he considered close friends. However, CJ has no problem with killing members of other gangs, and willfully slaughters any that get in his way of reclaiming Grove Street Family turf or try to sabotage his businesses, though in return, the gangsters are trying to kill CJ also. CJ's naïve personality, inexperience, and face-value interpretations of other characters' responses occasionally leads them to question CJ's intelligence (The Truth, Catalina). CJ, like his brother Sweet, holds a deep seated loyalty towards Grove Street and the hood, as seen in his reaction to the resentful attitude of his friends and siblings early on. Though, towards the end of the game, while Sweet was in prison, and CJ was making progress in San Fierro and Las Venturas, the unattended Grove Street became Ballas turf and was filled with crack dealers. CJ tries to get his brother to abandon the hood for their assets elsewhere, but he is quickly convinced into re-taking the turf. Despite his young age, Carl often handles situations in a professional manner.

Bio:
Carl "CJ" Johnson was born in 1968 in Los Santos, to Beverly Johnson. He has a father, but as seen in the intro movie, he said he didn't know him. Beverly had four children: Sean, Carl, Kendl, and Brian. Sweet states that Carl was born in the Johnson House, the family's childhood and current home. Old Reece, a family friend, and Ganton's local Barber Old Reece, recalls memories of Carl's father, although Carl tells Joey Leone that he never knew his father, and that Sweet was the "man" of the house but made his life miserable. Carl says to Woozie in Amphibious Assault that when he was swimming as a child, he once got a condom stuck on his face and that "horror like that stays with you for life". This also explains his fear for swimming.

The Johnson siblings, along with Melvin "Big Smoke" Harris and Lance "Ryder" Wilson, grew up on the same cul-de-sac and were childhood friends. CJ recalls Ryder dealing drugs since he was ten. Sweet became the leader of the Grove Street Families and introduced him, CJ, and possibly Brian into the gang life.

Around 1985, the Grove Street Families were at the height of their power when they first became pressured by Frank Tenpenny, a corrupt police officer of C.R.A.S.H. It's likely that Officer Eddie Pulaski was also serving with Tenpenny at this time. The Grove Street Families went into a decline at some point between 1987 and 1992. Carl's younger brother Brian died in 1987. The cause of his death was never revealed, though it is implied Carl was present but did not help him, as Sweet laments that Carl "let Brian die". He was no longer considered a member of Grove Street, and would later have to earn his way back into the gang. Big Smoke also impliesthat Carl was physically larger during that time, stating that the "East Coast got [him] all thinned out".

In 1992, Beverly Johnson is killed in a drive-by shooting by the Ballas. Sweet phones Carl and informs him, and Carl agrees to return for the funeral.

Carl returns and takes a taxi to his mother's house, but is arrested and confronted by C.R.A.S.H. members Frank Tenpenny, Eddie Pulaski and Jimmy Hernandez, who explain that Carl will do work for them, or they will frame him for killing their fellow officer Ralph Pendelbury (who was really murdered by C.R.A.S.H. themselves). After meeting with Big Smoke at the Johnson house, Carl finally meets with his siblings and friends. Carl quickly learns that the Grove Street Families lost much of their power over the last five years - a result of the growing crack cocaine trend and, though Sweet doesn't admit it, Sweet not having as much personal strength as a leader without CJ home. CJ and Sweet work furiously to successfully bring the gang back to power, with CJ regaining his brother's respect in the process. This included reuniting with the Seville and Temple families, as well as the Aztecas leader Cesar Vialpando (who, although a rival of Sweet's at the time, began a loving relationship with Kendl), and wiping out the Ballas, the sworn enemy of the Grove Street Families. Carl also helped OG Loc, a laughable "poser" who aspired to be a rapper (consequently ruining rap superstar Madd Dogg's career in the process).

The gang is at the second height of its power, and is planning on taking out the rest of the Ballas in an ambush, until Cesar reveals to Carl that Ryder and Big Smoke have betrayed the gang to C.R.A.S.H and the Ballas. Carl rushes to the gunfight, suspecting that Sweet and the gang are walking into a trap, and manages to hold off the Ballas to rescue a heavily-wounded Sweet, until both of them are arrested by C.R.A.S.H. Grove Street Families and the Varrios Los Aztecas practically disappear, and Big Smoke becomes head of a drug ring and takes over Los Santos. OG Loc also becomes a rich and famous rapper, with Big Smoke acting as his manager as a means to launder his money.
C.R.A.S.H. abandons Carl in rural Whetstoneto eliminate a witness against them. It is slowly revealed that they are being tried in court over their corruption, in a case that is quickly building media attention. Cesar connects CJ to his (mentally unstable) cousin, Catalina, and the two form a relationship built on the robberies they commit together. Tenpenny introduces CJ to The Truth, an aging hippie who is supplying Tenpenny with tons of weed, and tells CJ to frame a D.A who is an enemy of Tenpenny's. Tenpenny demands that CJ pay for the shipment, which forces him to return to work with Catalina, who now has an obsessive crush on him. Carl also meets the San Fierro Triads leader Wu Zi Mu during a street race. Catalina finds him at the race and expresses her feeling of neglect and anger, feeling that he was only interested in her as a partner in crime, also proclaiming that she has a new boyfriend, Claude. CJ defeats Claude and Catalina in a street race, gaining the deed to Claude's run-down San Fierro garage. CJ leaves for San Fierro with The Truth and Tenpenny's marijuana (despite Tenpenny betraying The Truth). They meet Cesar and Kendl at the garage in Doherty, San Fierro. CJ is angry about the bad state of the garage and believes that it is completely useless. Kendl explains to CJ that the property is a great opportunity, and through The Truth, he hiresDwaine, Jethro and Zero to work in the garage.

Carl meets with Woozie in San Fierro and the two quickly become strong allies, collaborating to take down each of their enemies enemies - Carl targeting the Loco Syndicate (Big Smoke's suppliers) and Woozie's rivals, the Da Nang Boys. Carl infiltrates and eventually kills all the chief members - Jizzy B, T-Bone Mendez, and even Ryder from the Grove Street Families. The garage (now a car theft ring), as well as renting out property, has earned Carl a modest sum of money. He receives a surprise phone call from Mike Toreno, a former member of the Loco Syndicate (who was apparently killed), who reveals himself to be a government agent and is recruiting Carl's help in exchange for releasing Sweet from a life sentence. Although it is a well-kept secret from all of his friends, The Truth finds Carl at Toreno's place of operation, and warns Carl that Toreno can't be trusted. He continues to recruit Carl's help in stealing a Jetpack from Area 69, which is needed for The Truth's goal of stealing mysterious, enlightening green goo.

Woozie invites CJ to the Triad's glamorous Four Dragons Casino in Las Venturas. Upon arrival, Carl is given shares in the casino by Woozie "in exchange for some help setting it up". They are faced with aggressive competition from the Mafia-run Caligula's Palace and, as revenge, spend time planning an extremely elaborate heist of Caligula's. This dually involves Carl infiltrating Caligula's inner circle of management (by chance of The Truth's association with music industry employees Kent Paul and Maccer) to work with their manager, Ken Rosenberg, and even Don Salvatore Leone, later helping the trio fake their deaths to escape Salvatore's rage. During this time period, C.R.A.S.H. extracts the last of Carl's labor before they try to kill Carl (and kill Hernandez for snitching on them), with Carl killing Pulaski and escaping alive. Carl, by chance, sees Madd Dogg attempting suicide and saves his life, partially out of guilt for ruining his career.

Carl's ongoing vendetta towards Tenpenny and Big Smoke, finalized by Madd Dogg having to sell his mansion to drug lord Big Poppa, prompts Carl to return to Los Santos, taking back the rapper's mansion by force. While recording Madd Dogg's new album, Toreno gives Carl the last of his work before Sweet is released from prison. Sweet is disgusted at Carl for his new millionaire's lifestyle, and for having forgotten all about helping the Grove Street Families. Sweet immediately takes Carl back to Grove Street to begin their task of reclaiming all of their turf. As the gang slowly begins their third return to power, Carl manages to get Madd Dogg's rhyme book back from OG Loc, reviving Madd Dogg's career, as hitting Big Smoke close to home. In the case against Tenpenny, it's shown on the news that since there is no evidence implicating him in his criminal activities, he would walk free; seconds after, citywide riots commence in outrage at Tenpenny's acquittal. During the confusion, Grove Street Families retakes almost half of the city's turf, and, after an assault on his Crack Palace, Carl kills Big Smoke. After Carl and Sweet chase him across the city through the riots, Tenpenny also dies after his firetruck falls from a bridge above Grove Street. At a celebration in the Johnson house, Madd Dogg, accompanied by Ken, Kent, and Maccer, announces "our first gold record" to Carl. At the same time, Sweet insists on making Grove Street a priority, while Kendl suggests going back to Las Venturas with Woozie, but Carl's only reply was that he was "fittin' to hit the block, see what's happening".

At the very end of the game, Carl is a young and wealthy man. His assets and business interests include the Grove Street Families gang and Madd Dogg's contract in Los Santos, a car garage and several other properties in San Fierro, and shares in the Four Dragons Casino in Las Venturas, as well as the government's $60 million jetpack.

It is suggested that Carl, Madd Dogg, Kent Paul and Maccer are to go on a world wide tour, as mentioned by Madd Dogg during the game's final cutscene. Maccer and Kent Paul are to ride along, giving another hint that Carl helped the two rebuild their band.

+Skilled in swordsmanship; specifically in the use of the katana despite having one arm.
+Trained to fight deadly; no matter how strong the opponent may be, she will surely find ways to defeat him/her.
+Speed, strength, and reflexes on its peak; thanks to her years of training.

-Heavy drinker and smoker; especially when she is depressed or angry. It will only take a lot of sticks and liquor to calm this bad girl down.
-May have PTSD; due to her horrific and tragic past.
-OBVIOUSLY HAS ONE FREAKING ARM AND ONE FREAKING EYE.
Chosen Ability/Equipment:
She primarily wields a katana, but she also has hidden surprises from her severed arm, which are mostly;
-A Japanaese mace
-A feudal cannon
-A bladed fan
-A chain rope
-A hook
-A claw
-A spear

How she was able to insert all of these is unknown.

Personality:
Baiken is more than just a typical bad girl. Being brash, aggressive, impulsive, and anti-social, there are times that she tolerates some stuff. She can be very prideful and she is more of a masculine character than a feminine one. She also accepts consequences of her actions and isolates herself to be damned by her sins.

Aside from these negative points, there are times that she can express herself to other people, if she feels like it. Also, she knows how to prioritize the greater good than her personal reasons and vendettas.

Character Name: Alexander James Mercer

Canon: [PROTOTYPE]

Age: Several months (Blacklight Alex), 29 (human Alex prior to death)

Appearance: Being a shapeshifter, Alex can assume the form of anyone he had consumed before. However, he normally defaults to his original human form due to the Blacklight virus recreating his body down to genetic level. In this form, Mercer appears as a Caucasian with very pale skin, although this could be the result of the virus as he appeared tanner in his human pictures. His light electric blue eyes also have a sickly grey tinting around him. His usual expression is either neutral or a perpetual scowl. While rarely seen without his hood, he has short curly brown hair slicked back. The ‘clothes’ worn by Alex aren’t actually clothes, but simply biomass mimicking the outfit worn by human Alex the night of his death. He wears three layers of clothes on his upper body: a partially-buttoned white shirt, a half-zipped plain grey hoodie, and a black leather jacket with a red tribal design on its back. It should be noted that the tribal design faintly glows in the dark. On his lower body is a pair of worn blue jeans and black shoes. As his clothes are part of his biomass, he cannot take them off without shapeshifting. Alex stands at a rather respectable 6’1” (1.85m) and has a sturdy and athletic build in his default human form at most times, though this may change due to amount of biomass. He tends to radiate a murderous aura wherever he goes.

Attributes:
+Ridiculously versatile: Consuming and assimilating the personalities and skills of hundreds of individuals has allowed Alex to harness a truly vast array of skills. He can essentially fill in every role in an office simultaneously. In fact, he can more than likely run a company all by himself.
+Genius intelligence: Human Alex was incredibly gifted in the field of science, and Blacklight Alex is no different, although much more intelligent due to all the scientists he had previously consumed.
+Incredibly efficient killing machine: Since Alex is pretty much a living weapon, he serves his purpose well, easily slaughtering countless foes who have the misfortune of getting in his way.
+Massively Durable: Since Alex is pretty much a walking pile of biomass in the shape of a human, Alex's body contains no skeleton or internal organs, meaning he can easily shrug off damage that would instantly kill normal humans, such as tank rounds, hellfire missiles, large explosives. His durability combined with his incredibly fast regeneration makes him practically impossible to kill.

-Gets angry easily: Alex has a tendency to lash out at people who have the misfortune of angering him.
-Poor social skills: Because Alex had practically no friends and a rough childhood when he was a human, he pretty much has no social skills at all. As such, he struggles with interacting with people and holding conversations.
-Resorts to violence: Alex's go-to answer to everything is typically with violence, being too eager to kill.
-Existential crisis: Because of his experiences in Manhattan, Alex has begun to question his own purpose, his humanity, and his existence.
-Questionable mental state: Alex's sanity has always come into question, due to his extreme paranoia, and anger and trust issues, which arguably stem from his broken childhood.
-Biomass reliant: While he can regenerate, Alex requires biomass to stay 'alive', hence he must have a constant supply of biomass, which comes from living biological matter such as animals and humans. Without it, or if he has lost too much, he will be severely weakened, and will attempt to consume the person closest to him if hungry enough.

Chosen Ability/Equipment:
  • Utility Powers: Powers Alex's Blacklight form is able to utilise, and are passive, which mean they are always active. These powers include his superhuman strength, agility, speed, and senses, along with his ability to consume living beings for information and biomass. This does have its limits, however, as most of these abilities are passive in nature, and as such, mostly used for defence and utility such as travel. To be the proper killing machine that he is, Alex would need his offensive powers, which is what allows him to transform form weapons from his body.
Personality: Due to a childhood of abuse and neglect, Alex is cold, paranoid, and borderline sociopathic. He is a cynical and jaded individual who does not like talking and company. Before his human death at Penn Station, he released the Blacklight virus on Manhattan out of spite for those who wronged him. He hardly takes human costs into account as he freely consumes random civilians in order to replenish his biomass. However, he is not completely heartless, as he deeply cares for his younger sister Dana, standing in as a parental figure. The human Alex was also involved in a romantic relationship with his then-girlfriend Karen Parker. Alex is also highly intelligent, obtaining a doctorate and becoming one of Gentek’s top scientists by the age of twenty-nine. As Blacklight, he has the knowledge of hundreds of scientists, soldiers, and civilians, and every single living organism he had previously consumed. Alex also tends to get angry quickly, lashing out at those who displease him. Following the revelation that he isn't actually Mercer, but the Blacklight virus itself which had reconstructed the real Alex's corpse and assumed his identity, Mercer now seeks to understand his purpose and humanity.

Bio:
Alex Mercer was born on July 16, 1979, where he spent his childhood in poverty. He spent his first nine years in foster care, and finally returned to his biological mother when he turned ten, though he was better off without her. He was the only parental figure for his sister Dana, and the two of them would play games and watch scary movies together. It is assumed that Alex practiced martial arts, as he has great combat prowess as Blacklight.

His high intellect and aptitude in science provided him an opportunity to leave behind his troubled past. He trusted no one, had no friends, couldn't care less about what others thought of him, and found solace only in his work. By the time he was hired by Gentek, Mercer was a borderline sociopath. He knew this, and didn't care.

After earning a doctorate degree in genetics at Columbia University, Mercer was hired by Gentek and became the head of the Blacklight project at Gentek. Alex's team was tasked with engineering weaponized viruses from samples given to them by the government. The samples that were provided exhibited curious behavior, including mimicry and retention of genetic information from infected hosts. With Mercer’s help, the team soon engineered a particularly virulent and potent virus codenamed 'Blacklight'. Mercer’s skill in altering genes made him a valuable asset to Gentek; his work was years ahead of his nearest competitor.

Despite his successes, Alex Mercer was considered a potential liability by Blackwatch, an elite army created to combat exotic threats. Over time, Gentek became scrutinized by Congress and investigations were proposed. Fearing an information leak, Blackwatch decided to cover it all up. Mercer, due to his paranoid nature, began to launch his own secret investigation on Gentek. With the assistance of his sister Dana, an investigative reporter, Mercer realized that Gentek employees associated with the Blacklight project were being silenced by Blackwatch; usually with a bullet between the eyes in a dark alley.

When he learned that a general purge was about to be unleashed upon the Gentek scientists, Mercer fled, fearing for his life. In the event he was caught, Mercer had brought insurance—he had smuggled a vial of the Blacklight virus out of quarantine and taken it with him. He also mailed a laptop with classified documents to Dana. But Blackwatch was too quick for him. While attempting to escape the city by train, Mercer was cornered in Penn Station by Blackwatch agents. In a fit of frustration and rage, he threw the vial to the floor, smashing it and unleashing a biological apocalypse. He was promptly shot by Blackwatch operatives. The virus began to spread to everyone in the station.

As he fell, he collapsed onto the viral sample, becoming infected as he died. His body was taken back to Gentek in a body bag. Little did they know, as he was transported, the virus was reconstructing Mercer's body, cell by cell; his biomass feeding the virus as it replicated the still-living matter it had infected.

Mercer woke up in a morgue on a slab just as two scientists were about to cut open his torso with a scalpel for an autopsy. The two men panicked and fled, terrified of Mercer. Mercer didn't understand why they were so frightened and had no recollection of his previous life. He ran after the scientists in an attempt to escape also.

Though Mercer was now an amnesiac, he was sufficiently aware to realize that the Blackwatch soldiers were certainly not friends when he saw them kill the two scientists as they tried to escape the facility. The soldiers noticed him, but his body regenerated the damage caused by their fire instantly. Surprising both the soldiers and himself, Mercer cleared the several feet high fence around the facility in a single leap. After escaping, he found himself trapped in Manhattan, being pursued by the military. He soon discovered that he had the ability to consume others and take on their appearance and memories, along with their special skills. With no recollection of his own past, Mercer decided to track down those responsible for his situation and consume them in order to uncover the truth behind what has been done to him, caught between the Blackwatch Special Forces and an ever-growing population of civilians infected by the virus he released.

On consuming Lt. Charles Perri he learned the whereabouts of his sister. Mercer hoped that his sister, Dana, would have some information regarding what happened to him, so he attempted to make contact with her. However, when he arrived at her apartment, he saw soldiers stationed around the building. He consumed a Blackwatch commander and, taking on his appearance, easily infiltrated their perimeter. When Alex entered he saw Dana being held by a Blackwatch soldier. Dana headbutted the Blackwatch soldier just as Mercer impaled him with his fist. Dana was terrified having witnessed this, but Mercer convinced her to help him.

Dana told Mercer that she knew there was something wrong going on at Gentek. She did not know what had happened to Alex either, but was able to tell him what he had told her prior to his memory loss. She told Mercer that he had her researching the Gentek organization for weeks. When she went looking for him to relay her findings, he had already disappeared. The conversation incited a flashback, in which Mercer remembered seeing the ID card of Dr. McMullen. Dana then lead Mercer to a new safe house, the home of Dana's friends, who were out of town for the year. Dana already had all of the files she could get on Gentek stored in the apartment.

Dana wasn't able to tell Mercer what it all meant, but insisted that the two of them work together to uncover whatever conspiracies were at work. Dana told Mercer that since Blackwatch was waiting for her at her apartment, they must also be waiting at his. Mercer arrived at his apartment and uncovered further hints of his past life. He saw a photo of himself and Dana with a graduate certificate from the University of New York. He also saw a photo of himself with a blonde woman. When he touched the photo he experienced a flashback in which he saw himself with the woman, his ex-girlfriend Karen Parker. When the flashback was over, it was apparent that the onset of these flashbacks was painful to him. As he was recovering, Blackwatch detonated a bomb that had been planted in the apartment, meant to kill him. He astonishingly survived without a scratch, despite having been thrown out of a window and down to the streets several stories below. Mercer hunted down and consumed the man who gave the order to detonate the bomb.

Mercer recognizes the girl. Dana tells him that the file has only two names in it: Alex Mercer and Elizabeth Greene, the girl in the photo. The file also says that she is being isolated in the Gentek building. When Mercer went to free Greene, she cryptically told him that "The time for waiting is over" and threw him across the room. Greene then disintegrated a wall by touch and sent Hunters after him as he escaped. She then took charge of the infected. He also located his ex-girlfriend, Karen Parker.

Dana continued to assist Mercer in locating his targets, while Karen promised him a cure for his disease. She first claimed that he needed to find her different samples of the virus destroying Manhattan, but once he arrived inside a nearby Hive, Mercer was ambushed by Blackwatch specialist Captain Robert Cross who used both the infected and his own soldiers as cannon fodder while he tried to take Alex down. Mercer ended up defeating him, but Cross turned the tables by distracting Mercer by mentioning 'Penn Station' and triggering a painful flashback. He injected Mercer with a biological weapon while he was distracted. Due to the parasite Cross had injected him with, Mercer couldn't use his special powers aside from his superhuman strength and speed. He still managed to escape from Blackwatch.

Mercer returned to Dana who showed him that Blackwatch was keeping an eye on a doctor for McMullen, Dr. Bradley Ragland. Dana then told Mercer that if he finds him, Ragland can help them get to McMullen. Before Mercer left, she showed him what she found about Hope, Idaho and Greene but Mercer said Hope was an experiment. She asked how he could know that, forcing Mercer to admit that he had killed a great number of people and their minds and memories were now within him. Dana was shocked by what her brother has become.

However, with the help of Dr. Ragland, Mercer was cured, restoring his abilities and gaining him the armor and blade powers as a result. During all of this, Mercer was placed as the number one terrorist threat in the entire United States due to treasonous activities against the United States and her allies. During one of Mercer and Dana's meetings, Dana was kidnapped by a Leader Hunter, a larger and stronger version of the normal hunters. Alex pursued this Leader Hunter across the city, but was ultimately unable to rescue Dana. With the help of Dr. Ragland, Mercer located and consumed the same Leader Hunter that kidnapped Dana, learning of her location in the core hive in the center of the city. Mercer was eventually able to penetrate the hive, where he confronted Elizabeth Greene.

Elizabeth Greene told Mercer that Dana was "with us now". During a struggle, Greene seemingly bests Mercer, but he was able to inject Greene with a syringe containing the parasite as it had been extracted from him. Greene's body rejected the parasite immediately and she vomited up a large amount of biomass, from which the Supreme Hunter was born. Mercer defeated the Supreme Hunter and saved Dana. As he left, a sinister clawed hand began to regenerate and rise from the remain of the hunter, showing the Supreme Hunter was far from done. The unknown contact later revealed as Captain Cross. As the conspiracy unfolds, with the assistance of an unidentified contact, the origins of Mercer, the virus and Elizabeth Greene were uncovered.

In 1969, the government had tested a virus codenamed Redlight in Hope, Idaho. This virus was designed as a biological warfare agent, targeting those of a predetermined race. The virus unexpectedly mutated into something far deadlier, infecting the whole population of Hope. Elizabeth Greene was the sole survivor of the incident; her body welcomed the virus rather than dying from it and it had rewritten her genetic code, along with that of her son, who was taken from her by Blackwatch and codenamed Pariah. This inspired the government to continue research into the virus, cooperating with the Gentek corporation. Scientists at Gentek locked Greene in a cell which had been used to research Blacklight, the new virus present in Greene. They continued to study the different strains of the virus that formed throughout her system as a means of accelerating the biological weapons program. Before long, the military began to deploy a new biological agent, Bloodtox, engineered to kill the virus and its hosts.

When the chemical was deployed across the city, the infection went underground to escape it, and subsequently amassed beneath the surface. The anonymous contact told Mercer to aid the military in pumping the Bloodtox directly into the ground. They hoped that it would drive the virus to the surface, allowing Blackwatch to fight it directly. Elizabeth Greene, now embedded in Mother a new viral organism, came to the surface and engaged Mercer in combat. Mercer killed Mother and consumed Greene.

He then attempted to confront McMullen, the Head of Research and founder of Gentek. After a grueling battle with Marines and Blackwatch between him and his target, Mercer confronted McMullen and moved in to consume him to find out what he knew. McMullen committed suicide before Mercer had the chance. It became apparent that General Randall planned to nuke Manhattan to destroy the virus. The mysterious contact, revealed to be Captain Cross, then guided Mercer to consume Colonel Taggart, who was attempting to flee the city. Cross had been ordered to capture Taggart and had Mercer impersonate him in order to get onto the USS Ronald Reagan where the bomb was being held.

Cross betrayed Mercer once on the ship, and was revealed to be the Supreme Hunter having consumed Cross at some point and taken his form. It battled Mercer on the deck of the Reagan and was subsequently decapitated by Mercer. Mercer boarded a helicopter and dropped the nuclear bomb into the Atlantic Ocean, allowing it to detonate at sea but leaving himself well within the blast radius. His remains washed up on the city shore as lumps of red tissue, but he was able to take human form after consuming a crow that attempted to devour him.

Mercer walks off thinking to himself, "What have I become? Something less than human, but also something more..." Later, Manhattan is seen in a recovering state, with the virus almost completely destroyed. After stopping the nuclear threat, Alex, having lost all faith in humanity as a result of his actions, leaves Manhattan and travels around the world in order to find true purpose and something to believe in.

    • Simply put, he is a dunce.
    • He can sometimes act recklessly due to his lack of forethought and emotional impulses
    • He is not above making joke-like remarks in inappropriate situations

    Personality:
While Lann may seem like a dummy, he has a good heart, a strong sense of responsibility, and he always puts his friends and family first. It might take some effort to get his head in the game but he’s dependable when it really counts.

    Bio:
Lann and his sister Reynn were born to Lusse Farna, a legendary Summoner and queen of her people, and Rorrik, an Architect who was responsible for creating many of the magical constructs that aided Lusse in earning her status. The twins(Lann and Reynn) inherited the powers of both of their parents and thus, were exceedingly powerful when it came to summoning and commanding beings known as Mirages. Unfortunately, their prowess soon got to their heads and it wasn’t long before the two started unintentionally causing trouble for themselves and those around them. This eventually led up to them accidentally summoning makevolent extra-dimensional deities into their world and costing their parents their lives as they had their bodies stolen. In a last ditch effort. Rorrik sealed himself and Lusse behind an advanced barrier and placed their children in a pocket dimension that he fastened together at the last minute before he completely lost himself.
For 100 years Lann and Reynn skept, having been forced into an unstable dimension has reprucussions. In this case, it was a state akin to suspended animation. It was only via the arbitrary assistance of an outside being that they were able to wake up, and even then, they had no memories of what had happened. And so, they set out back into the world hoping to find clues about their past and discovering the machinations of the being they had let loose long ago as well as their grave mistake. After a long journey where they met many friends and felled many foes, they emerged victorious, casting themselves out into the space between worlds along with the mess they had created in the first place.
And now Lann finds himself in a strange new world. His sister nowhere to be found.

corvo awesome attano.pngcorvo.jpg

Character Name:
Corvo Attano

Canon:
Dishonored

Age:
54

Attributes:
Legendary skills in sword fighting, marksmanship, combat, and stealth, as well as in freerunning, parkour, and improvisation.

Chosen Ability/Equipment:
Folding Blade (Folding Blade with the upgrades Sword Crossing and Occult Kiss. That's what I chose in the campaign.)

Personality:
Known for his air of mystery, Corvo is a distant and reserved man, showing his emotions only to his closest companions. He is noticeably pragmatic, willing and able to exact whatever means necessary to achieve a desired end... His willpower is unshakable and his conviction absolute... - Corvo Attano
He's also slow to trust others (can you blame him, though?), and a man of high honor.

Bio:
Born in Karnaca, Serkonos, in the Batista Mining District. He lived a nice and happy life, until his father, a lumber worker, was killed in an accident. He fought in the streets often after that, with his sister Beatrici, until Corvo's family lost contact with her after she moved with family to Morely. He was very skilled with a blade at such a young age, as he grew up in such an environment. He even won the Blade Verbena, an annual sword duel festival, giving him a spot on the Grand Serkonan Guard. Two years later he was sent to aid the Emperor Euhorn Kaldwin, and eventually became the Royal Protector to the Emperor's daughter, Jessamine Kaldwin (and fell in love with her, and she obviously fell in love with him. they tried to be discreet about it but kinda failed).
In 1837, Jessamine was assassinated by The Knife of Dunwall, Daud, and Corvo was framed for it. Six months of torture ensued, to get a confession out of him, yet he never broke. The day before his execution Corvo escaped from Coldridge Prison with the help of the Loyalist Conspiracy. He continued to work with them to take down the former Royal Spymaster-now Lord Regent, Hiram Burrows. Before his first mission, he was branded by the Outsider, and given powers beyond what he could have imagined. Eventually they did take down the tyrant, but the Loyalists (not all of them) betrayed Corvo to take the throne for themselves. Luckily, Samuel saved the former Royal Protector, and he was able to save Emily, and put a stop the three that betrayed him.
Fifteen years later, Delilah Copperspoon (older sister of Jessamine, born from an with the Emperor), Duke of Serkonos Luca Abele and others staged a successful coup against Corvo's daughter, Emily, and usurped the throne. Corvo was able to stab Delilah, but to no avail, as she had somehow made herself immortal. She froze Attano in stone, and stole his mark, removing his powers. Emily was able to stop Delilah in the end, and save him from his stone prison. Unfortunately, he lost his powers, but that won't stop the old man from Serkonos from protecting his daughter.

Character Name: Matthew Adams

Canon: He's an OC!

Age: 31

Attributes: Well, this guy's a scientist, so he's pretty smart. I guess. He isn't too great at fighting, so he ain't that strong. So not many attributes for this guy, just some cool intelligence. I'M NOT GOOD AT WRITING THINGS LIKE THIS OK??

Chosen Ability/Equipment: Well, he does happen to carry around an antidote he made, and the antidote can cure all diseases :D (I think its too overpowered... oh no LOL)

Personality: Erm, find out in the roleplay I guess? I ain't good at making personalities..

Bio: He was born in England, he had an older brother named John. He went to a prestigious boarding school, and he had a happy life. Every Friday, as a treat, he and his brother would get taken out for ice cream. But then there started to be reports of nuclear bombs in the village, so his family had to move. They moved to Millenium City. His childhood was happy again. His brother John was 20 at that time, and he went off to Spain to get a job. Matthew bought a house of his own. And I gonna leave it there.

Alignment:I'm not sure what a D&D alignment is, but I know alignments as "Good, neutral or evil" so I think I'll go with neutral..?

Character Name: Lucario

Canon: [What fictional universe do they hail from? If he/she is simply an OC - just post OC.] Nintendo/Pokemon/Mystery Dungeon (OC)

Age: Presumed 22

Attributes:

Agility: Lucario is a born acrobatic. He has the ability to stay balanced and make rapid movements around enemies and obstacles with zero effort.

Hand to Hand Combatant: Lucario specializes in his up-close fighting ability. In combination with his agility, it makes him an excellent fighter.

Chosen Ability/Equipment:

Aura Manipulation and Detection: Lucario has the ability to sense the “auras” (life force) of people through surfaces and manipulate his own into different shapes. This ability does not detect undead or otherwise anomalous organisms.

Personality: Prideful and energetic, Lucario excels in keeping morale at an all-time high even during the worst moments. However, he does have his weak points and is particularly shy in what such morale-boosting skills would be useful for the most: leadership. He will spout jokes forever, though.

Bio: It was a commonly accepted story that Lucario, then a Riolu, was found abandoned in a forest to be found by a Carracosta. With him laid in the grass were two colorful scarves that seemed to serve no purpose. Carracosta had been kind to the Riolu and had adopted him into his village, raising him as if he were his own child without any sort of hesitation. Riolu was a troublesome child, being very wild and carefree (a personality trait that never disappeared from him). His plans of becoming a part of a “Rescue Team” (teams devoted to taking bounties of criminals and helping others) but his life changed once one of his village neighbors, Nuzleaf, brought in a Cyndaquil of his own. Long story short, this Cyndaquil changed Riolu and finally gave him the push to become a true Rescuer. Their journey never concluded, suffice to say, and Lucario travels the world and communicates with his old Typhlosion friend from time to time. However, that story seems to have more background that the Lucario keeps secret on for a reason…

Character Name: Maxwell the Great (William Carter)

Canon: Don't Starve

Age: Unknown adult

Attributes:
Dapper but frail
Can fragment his mind
Relies heavily on Codex Umbra
Some survival skills

Chosen Ability/Equipment:
Codex Umbra- Shadow magic usually used to make shadow puppets

Personality: After his freedom from the throne and a few blows to his ego Maxwell still remains to be a dapper gentleman. This also means he prefers the finer things life has to offer, but he is able to put his feelings aside to get things done... Usually. Maxwell is also quick to judge others based on appearance and is very judgemental. Despite having had to live in the wilderness Maxwell complains... A lot about things that don't meet his standards and is quite vocal about his frustrations.
To add on, Maxwell is not one in favor of direct confrontation, much prefering to find a way out of a problem that doesn't result in fighting. This is not to say Maxwell won't fight, he simply prefers not to. Maxwell is also aware of his limits and flaws and doesn't bother trying to make himself seem like a better person than he is. He's actually not the worst after one gets to know him better.

Bio: In 1901, a tall and nervous British man named William Carter boarded a ship from London to the US, with hopes of pursuing a career as a magician in New York City. Three years later after his career appeared to be a flop and was in debt from unpaid props for his shows, William decided to move west to San Francisco, California. After his train crashed into a circus wagon, William went missing and was presumed to be dead. After escaping from the accident still alive, William discovers a book named Codex Umbra, which contained knowledge of powerful dark magic involving shadows. While he was deciphering what it read, his mind was opened up to new possibilities for magic. He took this new knowledge of magic and began to incorporate it into his magic shows, and went under the new stage name "The Amazing Maxwell".

After settling down with his newly found alter ego and knowledge, Maxwell met a woman named Charlie who applied to work as his assistant for his magic shows. Their magic shows appeared to be successful, creating very convincing acts using the knowledge Maxwell acquired from the book he discovered. Later in 1906, Charlie went to Maxwell's apartment after not hearing from him in a few days, but instead of finding Maxwell, she discovers his hidden "study room", with various symbols and incantations crudely scratched on the walls. Among these, the phrases "Enough", "It's them", and "Charlie" were also scratched on. She ran away terrified after seeing this, but came back to slide a letter under Maxwell's door acknowledging the room and suggesting that they take a break after their next big act.

Later that night, Maxwell and Charlie were to perform their big final act, wherein Maxwell would pull a shadow from the mysterious book. After making the book appear out of nowhere in his hands, Maxwell reached inside a page, but instead of pulling a shadow out, something inside of the book was pulling him in. After breaking free, a glimpse of the Shadow Watcher appears, the book turns to a blank page, and Maxwell and Charlie are grabbed by shadow hands and pulled into the realm of Them. It's unknown exactly what happened right after they were captured. Ultimately, Maxwell was put on the Nightmare Throne and would transform into the part-human, part-demon creature he is today, pulling people into the DS world. Charlie would become the monster of the night, killing unsuspecting people in the darkness.

However after being trapped on the throne for so long a survivor freed him from it and unknowingly took his place as he turned to dust. However only this lead to him resurrecting in the Constant and having to survive in the world he created, getting a taste of his own medicine.

geralt.jpg

Character Name:
Geralt of Rivia

Canon: The Witcher (light mixture of book and games, mostly using game canon).

Age: Due to the slowed aging of Witchers, he's nearly one century old (according to Vesemir).

Attributes: Geralt is an extremely skilled swordmaster, capable of wading through skilled warriors with ease. He moves with such grace as he strikes that he almost appears to be dancing whilst in combat, cleaving heads and severing limbs. He is almost as skilled with magic as he is with a blade, though he is not a full on arcanist. Geralt himself is a keen, experienced tracker with extensive knowledge of monstrous lore, and he can also read other people quite well. Being a Witcher, dark and mysterious rituals have had the following impacts on his physiology:

1.Sterility (which partially explains selection from the outsiders, as they cannot breed to pass on their traits).

2. Cat-like eyes that grant very acute nightvision - witchers can constrict their pupils to see in blinding light or open them to see in near pitch darkness. This nightvision can be further enhanced with the cat potion, but in general, it is good enough by itself to not require further enhancement.

3. Tremendous resistance to disease (which functions in most cases as complete immunity) and a boosted immune system, allowing them to consume large quantities of potions that could prove easily deadly if consumed even in small amounts by a normal man.

4. Exceptionally increased strength, speed, reflexes, and endurance, far beyond any normal or well-trained human, that allows them to swiftly end fights with minimal effort, and perform physical feats non-witchers couldn't hope to match. A witcher's physical skills alone are sufficient to defeat most monsters single-handedly if combined with extensive training and proper weaponry, whereas regular men could only hope to accomplish this in large groups. Witchers have also been shown to shrug off hits that would normally render normal men unconscious. Additionally, they have been known to survive the strikes of powerful monsters such as giants, or other beings possessing heruculean strength, that would otherwise kill others with a single blow.

5. Having the ability to perform simple yet incredibly versatile combat magic in the form of signs. They also develop a sixth sense that allows them to "feel" things around them, be it items of importance or people's immediate intentions. This explains their uncanny ability to track and hunt people and monsters.

6. Accelerated healing granting quick recovery from injuries.

Nearly a hundred years of being an outcast has left Geralt a very gruff person, though, and, in his more short moods, it's not likely he will tolerate much in the way of annoyances.

Chosen Ability/Equipment: Ability to use Witcher magic.

Personality:
Most of the time, he can be apathetic, cynical, and threatening. Despite his outwardly cold nature, Dandelion notes that behind his exterior hides a fiercely loyal friend, and a man of good humour and as someone not indifferent to suffering. Geralt is shown in the books and games to have many good friends all over the Northern Realms, such as Caldemeyn of Blaviken, Zoltan Chivay, and of course Dandelion. He is also very protective of and loyal to his friends and companions, and is willing to go to great lengths for those who matter to him. He can be kind-hearted and caring to the people he loves.

Geralt is also shown to be extremely adept at allaying intense, and at times bleak, situations and as a man who would much sooner have everyone return home than draw their swords. His experience of at least ninety-seven years in the world makes him a world-weary man, often expressing disdain and circuitous insults to those he considers cruel, foolish, etc. Geralt is consistently shown as fiercely loyal to his friends. Depending on the player's choice in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, he may risk Temeria's future to save Triss Merigold from the Nilfgaardians. In the short story The Edge of the World, he is shown requesting Scoia'tael to spare Dandelion and kill only him.

Geralt frequently shows remorse and has revelations in his life throughout the books. Other times he has complete emotional breakdowns, even giving up being a witcher in general and dropping his morals at one point in Lady of the Lake.

Geralt has a weakness for redheaded women and for sorceresses. In the saga, one such example was an affair with Triss Merigold.

Bio: At a young age Geralt was given to the witchers of the Wolf School to be trained in their ways and mutated. It was at Kaer Morhen where he received his training and changes, in time he went on to go through the Trial of Grasses, as all witchers must. Due to how exceptionally he did during the trial he went on to be put through further mutations along with others, though Geralt was the only one to survive. This turned his hair white giving him one of his most recognizable features. After spending his remaining time at the fortress continuing to progress, he left atop his horse Roach to wander the land and become a monster slayer for hire. One of his first acts was due to circumstance, he stumbled across bandits raping a young girl while beating her father. Geralt approached killing one of the bandits mercilessly and hoped to be given thanks by their victims, however the father fled with the bandits in terror as the girl fainted in fear of him. This prompted Geralt to stop trying to pretend to be a knight or noble man on a quest to save others, sending him on the path of being a cold emotionless witcher like so many others. Another famous task of his was the curing of Foltest's Daughter, Adda, of the Striga curse. This resulted in him going through a grueling battle against the creature and nearly dying due to a serious neck injury, yet Geralt managed the task in the end. He was rewarded greatly and while he may not have realized it at the time this established his foothold in Temeria, which would shape his life greatly. Another important event in his life was his dealing with a group of people in Blaviken, they were a threat to the people of the settlement. Geralt knew of their danger and slew them all violently to protect the town from them, however to the people it appeared as if he just randomly killed otherwise innocent people. This earned him the alias "The Butcher of Blaviken" which haunts him still.

Through his adventures Geralt met with many interesting figures, one such was the poet Dandelion whom which formed a friendship with him. They have twice visited a place known as The Edge of The World where both times they found themselves mixed in with serious groups and events. As well he was hired by the Queen of Cintra, Calanthe. In her service he ended up seeing the resolution of one path of destiny while opening up another. While dealing with the effects of a Genie upon Dandelion, Geralt ended up in Rinde where he met the Sorceress Yennefer, it was then that they first started to fall in love.
