Mysteries. Lies. Murders. Trickery. Only a few of the words that describe the town
of River's End. You moved here for whatever reason. Job openings? Adventure? Ma
ybe you think the houses here are cheap enough for you to afford. Maybe you're ju
st looking for new experiences? or maybe you're doing an internship for an area of
work you're interested in? Well, one thing you will definitely get is a new experien
ce. This town...isn't...normal. Nor is it ran by normal people either. This town, you
see, is special. There is a curfew, you know? and, well.... if your out past curfew,
and you don't have your bracelet/wristwatch, you might as well consider yourself a
late-night snack. Oh, what are the bracelets and wristwatches, and what are their
significance well...how to put this... they kind of act like protection. The people
who run this town are vampires. They also make up the majority of the upper-class.
Humans...well...we're the livestock, in a sense. kept in this town by the vampires,
not allowed to leave. We can have jobs, have lives, but.... our taxes are paid in
blood- two pints a month. Also, any vampire can hurt us, and feed on us, unless we
have protection. For women, it's a bracelet with a silver image on the top. For men,
a wristwatch-type band. If a vampire chooses to bite us, (if it's not one taking advan
tage of us not being protected), we will then receive our respective wrist accessory
engraved with that vampire's symbol. It means we can not be harmed by other vamp
ires. Those who are born in town are protected by their family's respective vampire.
So, your new here, trying to survive. Refusing to believe in vampires, trying not to be
bitten. Good luck. Especially when the vampires are trying to take over the world,
and some of the humans are trying to rebel and overthrow the vampires. good luck.
