Shiloh Caswell

Shiloh followed Abe without question, he found himself confused but the man did gesture to come near. He could only describe what he saw to be an acidic pool and chunks of the thief's lunch, he found it disgusting. Not that he hadn't had his fair share of pukes but still, it was nasty all the same. Abe caught his attention when he mentioned the word "bounty hunters" to Shiloh, but that was all buried under the confusion that came with the commentary on him and Fiona. He was about to protest when he realized what the man meant but all he received was a dismissive hand and an assurance. Their disguise were made to be lovers, which is far different from their true selves where a line separates them: the Sworn Knight and the Princess.

There was a worry that Shiloh couldn't help but show Abe, he wasn't wrong. Their time spent with the Captain had been short but the old man was kind enough to let them join their crew. "That is... Unfortunate." He was at a loss for words, he knew that the man was practically family to most people on the ship. "Fiona and I are well, I'll probably have a couple of bruises on my back but it's fine. Others might need your attention more, and maybe yourself."

Shiloh led the both of them back to the ship, just in time to see Fiona wipe Azure's tears. "I'll get the wood for you," He chimed into the conversation, wanting to lessen the burden that their helmsman would have to take. "As for food, Dom might have some in the kitchen." His eyes glazed over to his female companion and offered her an encouraging smile, as he could see that she was trying to comfort Azure at that moment.

He noticed how Azure leaned over to Fiona, making Shiloh tense by their side. Azure was tall, taller than Shiloh, and the woman he was leaning towards was... well, was not. Every moment the helmsman leaned further, he was there ready to catch him but alas. "I've got Abe with me, I'm sure he'll check up on you in a b-" He has fallen, hearing his last words Shiloh's eyes go over to Aries. "Oh, dear."

The ground rumbles, the sharp sound of trees being split before they hit the ground. It were sounds that foreshadowed an impending doom. Shiloh turned in the direction of the sounds and remembered that it was where Jin and Hush had gone. "I think we should get the others to safety first rather than repair the ship." He said to no one in particular but his voice could be heard by everyone around them.

"I'm gonna go look for Jin and Hush. They went in that same direction of the rumble," Shiloh stated as he reached for his gunblade that never left the side of his hip. He didn't wait for any objections, if there would be any, and made his way to the two's general direction. "I'll come back as quick as I can!"

FangAvatarrp.png

Fang scratched the back of his head, trying to put two and two together to figure out what was going on. After some listening and stating out the obvious, he understood the situation they were in. They ship needed to be repaired and ready to go as soon as possible. While he was no mechanic, engineer or cook, he was handsome, talented and a great janitor. There was probably a mess all over the place after they crashed the way they did and if people were going to be moving about trying to get everything running, he needed to make sure there were no obstacles for them to accomplish their goals. He tightened the gloves on his hands and adjusted his ponytail, the ship was about to be cleaned like it had never been cleaned before.

"Step aside everyone, I can't be responsible for any damage I do if you get in the way of my super cleaning." he said to absolutely nobody.

Fang went for the biggest mess his eyes caught a sight of first, a corpse caught in one of the rails of the boat. Normally, he would be disgusted and ask Dom if her dragon could eat it, but this time he was focused, besides the cook probably had to, well cook. He walked up to the body, poking it with the heath of his sword first, making sure it was completely dead. To his surprise, the man gurgled a bit and Fang thought he heard the man whisper, "help.", but he didn't have time for that, he had a mission. With his super better than Azure's strength, he grabbed the most likely dead man by the collar of his outfit, dragged him up against the rail and then threw him overboard. Fang clapped his hands a few times, admiring his great work, when he heard a moan, and not the good kind.

The master of the sand in his bottle made his way to the back of the ship, where he found another body. This time, the man was more on the heavy side, almost twice as big as Fang. That didn't matter though, nothing could stop him, unless Linsie was around to eat it. He stopped and looked around, hoping to see the dragon flapping about, but nothing. "Does it even eat people? I'll have to ask Dom." He told himself as he crouched down and began to slide his hands under the big man.

"Oh? His fingers moved!" Fang proclaimed as he watched the fingers of the man twitch, "I hate dead people spasms, always freak me out." He shook his head with a silly smile as he attempted to lift the man, but failed. "Hmmm, looks like I'm going to need... Physics!".

After a few moments of shuffling around in one of the storage rooms, Fang returned to scene, looking a bit confused as it seemed someone had moved the body a bit. "Very funny guys!" he called out, laughing a bit to himself. He had brought a long plank of wood and bucket with him, his idea was to create a lever with it, while he jumped on the other side and send the dead man over the rail, easy. It failed.

As soon as Fang landed on his side of the wood, it snapped in half and cracked the bucket. He took out a small notebook and scribbled, new bucket, on it. He needed time to think, he couldn't work under all the pressure placed on him. He turned around and leaned his head against the ship's walls, asking the big transport to provide him with the answer on how to overcome his current obstacle. While he did so, the man behind him stood up, tumbling, trying to regain his balance. He reached for the rail to try and hold himself up, only for it to brake and cause the man to fall overboard.

Fang turned around at the sound of metal snapping, only to see he had finished cleaning the dead body. "Ah, of course, sometimes the effect of impact takes a few moments to work, he must've been sent flying overboard." With victory in his mind and motivation through the sky, Fang grabbed his trusty mop and got to work, cleaning the halls of the interior of the ship, whistling and smiling, trying to keep a friendly and positive face for anyone who walked by, even if he was crying for his captain deep inside.

Once Azure seemed to compose himself Red felt his body grow less, with slight relief to know his words had some type of impact on his crewmate. He shook his head as Azure apologized and stayed close as he slowly rose to his feet, ready to help if he lost his balance. "No need for that Mr. Hitch," he said in a calm, hushed voice as he kept a careful eye on his crewmate's progress towards the ship. He would pause however as one of the recent additions to the crew appeared to comfort Azure, wiping away his tears and giving assuring words. Fiona Shreka, alongside her companion Shiloh Caswell, were the latest additions to the Infinity. Red hadn't agreed with the Captain's decision to allow them to travel aboard the Infinity, and still had his doubts about their presence, but he would not go against his Captain's wishes and hold his tongue. It was odd though to see Fiona try and tend to Azure, and even offer to assist in the repairs an act of kindness he was not expecting. A brief, small frown spread across his lips as he glanced at her but quickly fell back into a neutral expression as Azure spoke up.

His words were still strained, and his emotions clearly still competing against him. As he acknowledged Jin's and Aries, Red flashed his eyes downward, once again being reminded of the tight nit group the Captain had created. There was a brief tightness in his chest before quickly ignoring the feeling and looking back to Azure to see a tear run down his face as he prepared himself to pretend to be fine. Red's gaze hardened and resisted the urge to speak up, knowing he would be a hypocrite if he told Azure not to. Keeping his emotions hidden from the world was one of his unfortunate talents. He was soon brought out of his thoughts as Azure began to climb back up the ship, remaining close by on the ground to insure and listening to what he would need assistance with to begin making repairs. A frown once again came to his face as their helmsman struggled up the ladder but sighed as he practically whined about needing food. "It will be done Mr. Hitch, just recover for now," Red called up before pinching the bridge of his nose as he heard him flop onto the deck above. With a quick breath through his nose, Red soon glanced at Fiona, calmly staring at her before giving her a slight nod of gratitude for her help.

"Thank you for your display of kindness to our helmsman Ms. Shreka," Red would say before turning from the ship to let his eyes scan the wood lines surrounding them. "But perhaps you should return to your courters now. You are the ship's Scholar; you do not need to assist in her repairs. We have plenty of professional hands to tend to her wounds," he would state plainly before glancing back at her. "Though, if you wish to keep an eye on Mr. Hitch to ensure he doesn't strain himself any further, that would be much appreciated," he said before snapping his gaze back to the surrounding forest line as the distant sound of falling trees crashing into the earth reaches his ears, his hand quickly gripping his sword as his body grew tense. "That blasted fool, I should have stopped him when I had the chance," Red muttered with an irritated frown as he remembered Jin heading out into the forest earlier. He had seen Hush hurry after him from the corner of his eye when he was tending to Azure and had no doubt she'd be able to handle herself, their past hunts together being a great form of training for them both, but even with that knowledge a wave of doubt and unease filled his chest.

His attention was soon redirected to Shiloh as he stated his intention to go after Hush and Jin, a heavy sigh escaping him as more people decided to enter the forest. Though his intentions to help were good, Red could only grow slightly irritated. Situations like these should be left to those with experience with forest terrain and wildlife, like the ships Hunter! "Mr. Abraham, please tend to Mr. Hitch and make sure no one else follows us! We can't afford to spread out too much!" he called out to Abe as he hurried after Shiloh, quickly catching up to his side and keeping his eyes forward towards the approaching forest line.

"Do not rush forward Mr. Caswell, whatever our Quartermaster and Scout have run into is possibly dangerous. Let's keep our distance, observe, and intervene when needed," he told Shiloh as the two made their way to the forest, his mind running through strategies and tactics that may be needed.

Shortly after Linsie left, a blue head poked through the same exact door. Dom flipped a steak without having her eyes set on it. Instead she looked at the First Mate of the ship. Lindsey, a rather quick head when it came to explosions or chaos in general. To see her rather calm– as calm as Lindsey could be– didn’t bother or surprise Dom the slightest.

"Hey Dommy, come up to the deck when you're done. Thanks!"

She was gone before the demoiselle could open her mouth. Another glance at the meat told her they’d be ready soon. The pans were heated and burnt enough to keep sizzling them for a good while. Dom didn’t want the others to be waiting for her. She drew the gas close. Within her fires died. A small something inside her winced at the sight– it was always watching her, waiting for a moment to break out. She refused to let history repeat itself. Strictly refused and fought day after day.

Dom stretched. Her head still burned and she didn’t get a minute to wash the dried blood around her nose either. With a long inhale, the chef whirled around the white counter and headed for the door. She grew more weary each step. What happened out there? Was someone badly injured? A short debate whether or not to bring her bottle shot through her head, but quickly dissolved again. Her head rattled enough from crashing into the door.

Within a minute the cook came outside, her eyes blissfully hurting at the sun’s illumination. Dom had the windows to her kitchen always shut and preferred the light of a lightbulb. However, once some crew members craved some food, she ended up opening them. The flash of the dragon passed her as she freaked out due to a huge boy laying flat on deck. “Azure,” she chimed, her hand grabbing for Linsie. “Go get him something,” she whispered to the dragon before finally crossing the distance to the helmsman. Her gaze fell upon the rest of the attending crew. She gave them a nod of greetment before turning to the helmsman.

Her attention was clipped due to some nasty sounds erupting from the tree line. Just where the fuck were they?
Before she could ask herself any of that, Linsie had been back already holding one of the freshly made, breezing hot steaks. Good for her not having actual biological teeth. But yet again, Linsie spewed fire. She must have had a high tolerance for heat then. Just like Dom, then. With ease she took the meat from her pet and loomed over the boy.

Well, if she was a mess with that bloody nose, he looked like an exploded balloon. Azure’s red circles under his eyes extinguished her question if he was well. As far as Dom was concerned about the crew-history, Azure had been here the longest as he was, in fact, born on the very thing. How close had he and that old geezer been? Dom clicked her tongue. It was obvious at this point.

“Hey there,” she finally spoke, one hand sinking into the pockets of her jacket. “Figured you might be hungry.”
An Azure Hitch was always hungry, such as an Abraham Rozant. Their abilities drained them a lot and thus their hollow stomachs that reminded her more of a void than anything else. Dom sighed and crouched down, holding the steak above him. She couldn’t offer him a smile. In fact, she could only watch and feed him. Dominique has never been a woman of fancy words like a certain Red or their local ship librarian, who happened to also be the niece of the old man they now had to collect like a child.
Linsie landed on her shoulder, her gaze following Dom’s suit to look down at Azure. “Where are the others? I thought Lindsey called us all here. They couldn’t be already in a fight, right?” Didn’t they just arrive? Or had she been passed out longer than her mind wanted her to know?

Dom shrugged it off and glanced over her shoulder. They were on an island, good. There was a forest, which meant life and somewhere some cooking supplies. However, her fellow crewmates had somehow managed to tangle into a fight already! Without her! So, so rude. She’d cook burned vegetables tonight if this continued!
Perhaps Dom would have gone to check it out only for the sheer fun she’d get out of it. Exploring new things was her thing. Maybe whatever they were fighting tasted good, too. Yet she remained on deck, still offering Azure his meat. She started to look around as well. Who was with them and who not. A few remained missing. No one made a big deal of it, though. At least they weren’t lost idiots like the grandpa, who decided to take a whole ship out almost by himself.

Yeah, she’d not cook his favorite meal for a few weeks. How dare he leave them?

Hush
Father Silas? Hush raised a brow inquisitively. The harrowed look plastered on Jin's face told her all she needed to know. They were a problem. She wasn't sure whether her words benefitted Jin or not. She supposed that drawing his attention away from the mopey atmosphere he created for himself was a decent start. Crying wasn't going to bring the captain back. As he said, it was time for them to head back and start planning their next move. Then, as if on cue, the forest rumbled.

Hush was wary when the Moosebear™ appeared, but she wasn't all too frazzled. She'd seen worse during her hunts with Red. The acidic spittle did make her nauseous, though. When Jin asked for her knife, she was hesitant. She had kept the blades since her time in the Church of Eternity. Hush never found the strength to toss or replace them, so she clung to them, much like the past that weighed on her shoulders. She pursed her lips before speaking.

"Don't lose it."

She threw the blade at his feet, its purple edge sticking in the dirt. Swiftly, she left his side and ran toward a nearby tree, scaling its branches until she gained a better perspective of the scene below. While Jin was likely capable of handling the beast alone, Hush practically heard Lindsey's nagging voice if she dared to return to the Infinity without him. So, the assassin opted to wait. Unholstering the revolver on her hip, she naturally blended into the tree's foliage. If he needed her assistance, she'd be there. That was how her hunts with Red went, at least. She respected his resolve, but there was no way she was going to leave another member of her crew behind. Not anymore.

Much like what Abraham had expected, Shiloh did not have as adverse of a reaction to the news as the others did. The Captain had been a good man but they were still new. They hadn't been able to really connect with the guy. Maybe that was a bit of a shame— he could really teach them a couple of things. He looked over Shiloh as he was alerted that he might have some bruising before nodding. "If it starts to be any more of a bother, feel free to drop by to get it healed. I don't mind." He let out a chuckle, shaking his head. "And I'm fine. Just a small side effect. I really shouldn't have overexerted." And he was telling the truth. Over the years, Abraham learned how to pace himself. It was just in situations like this, he could afford to overexert.

He followed the officer back onto the ship alongside the others, giving a glance to Lindsey who had summoned all of them on the deck. Right. Since Jin had gone off to check the perimeter, she would be the one barking orders. At the back of his mind, Abraham wondered if she was up to the task— emotionally, of course. Had she experienced loss before so that's why she could shake it off? Or was it her trying to keep it together so there was still some semblance of order within the ship? All good questions. All questions he dared not voice out.

Abraham's attention was swiped by Marie as she ascended from the depths of the ship. He was never sure where he could reliably find her. He just trusted he would be able to when she needed help. "The Captain went down with the, uh, other ship. He... He blew it up himself so, I guess because he wanted us to get a chance to..." He gestured idly to the island. "Escape..." Somewhere on the deck, Fang had continued his clean up like nothing had happened. And you know what, that was fair. A job was still a job. And he should also do his own job as his attention came back to the collapsed Azure.

Azure had also completely spent himself. As everyone began to crowd around their helmsman, Abraham observed quietly for a moment. The exhaustion from stopping the ship must have finally taken a toll on his body as well as coming to terms that their Captain was somewhere miles away alone. He moved forward to begin his assistance when the ground shook and trees falling could be heard. He turned to Red who quickly ordered him to continue tending to Azure while he and Shiloh were to check it out. Abe stifled a sigh, wondering if the crew would find themselves injured once again and resting in their beds. Knowing the stubborn idiots would likely not like being in bed rest, he really did hope that they would be able to handle the monstrosities of this island. Distantly, he knew that he would simply stay up to heal all of their injuries anyway so that they could be operational within the day even at the cost of his own energy.

"Don't let that thing get you all, Red! I can heal but I certainly can't handle four people at once!" He shouted after the hunter as he and Shiloh disappeared into the forest.

Abraham made his way to the collapsed helmsman, nodding at Fiona as he knelt down on the other side of Azure. "Thank you." He muttered towards Fiona. For what, he wasn't sure. For helping Azure, he guessed. Dominique had arrived as well, now with a piece of cooked meat for the helmsman and she dangled it almost in front of him. "The others are looking for Jin and Hush. Looks like they encountered something... native to this land." Potentially highly dangerous. Maybe it's going to be the thing that kills them instead of the bounty hunters. Maybe the Captain's sacrifice was all for nothing. Or maybe it was something they could defeat between four combat-competent people with powers that complement said skills. Without the power of clairvoyance or future telling, he would never know. So, instead of worrying about that for the moment, he looked down at the helmsman.

"You know Azure, I think... there are other ways to you know, stop a ship... other than, well, jumping in front of it yourself. Now if you'll excuse me..." The pretend doctor claimed as he folded up Azure's shirt to reveal his abdomen before pressing his hands on it. His powers had always been more effective when he was touching the wound directly. Unfortunately, physical exertion wasn't exactly an external wound so starting in the middle was his ideal route. Even the nicks and scratches around Azure's body slowly began to stitch themselves under the aid of Abraham's Eternum-given power and warmth began to spread from his hand and throughout Azure, the power slowly working its way around his body to remove his physical ailments. Unfortunate as it was, Abraham could not use his powers to heal emotional scars. That was up to the person to be able to work through themselves. Thankfully, Aries was a person you could talk to about those sorts of things and her power does help for creating a safe space.

For a moment, he glanced at the blue-haired librarian. A sweet and mellow girl. Maybe she would be unavailable for a few days to work through her own emotions. She had lost her uncle. Abraham could imagine the grief she was going through, being one of the few family members she had left around her. The pain of that, especially if she hadn't felt it before, would probably be soul-crushing. He opened his mouth but nothing came out. He worked his jaw and looked back down at Azure. Abraham wasn't sure how much help he could be to her at this moment. He'll talk to her later or something. Maybe others would be better at that comfort thing.

"Dom... I'm sorry for asking this of you right now but erm..." He started as he looked back up at the chef and her metal dragon. "May I... may I also have some food?" Between losing his lunch and now healing exhaustion, Abraham wasn't sure how long his own energy would last.

Despite Infinity having experienced a somewhat reckless driving by the helmsman, Aries is still thankful to not have suffered any more loss aside from her uncle. Still, she clings to this hope that the Captain is alive and breathing. With the crew separated, it was concerning not having Hush and Jin in her line of sight. Not to mention being alone in this group whom she felt a bit distant with, the lady was troubled. Should she help in rebuilding Infinity? But how though? People call her smart and is indeed knowledgeable about a lot of things, but her physical capabilities were her limit. Her pale and petite body says it all.

Her running thoughts weren't getting her anywhere. She could at least do something. Anything. At least it would keep her busy from having her mind filled with the captain. The blue haired lady then examines some of the crew's current situation. There she sees fang, cleaning. Not that surprised about it since that's what he's been doing all this time. Though, she would avoid helping with this certain duty since her clumsiness was not to be taken lightly. Especially handling glasses and all that. Aries would either hurt herself, or add more mess. And... which one would the crew like better? Of course neither. The least she would want is become another patient that the doctor needs to tend to. The woman sighs as it's been minutes and she's still stuck in her place. The Library is surely a mess right now.. maybe I should just arrange some books back to its shelves? She thought to herself, as there seems to be nothing she could do for the group at this moment.

Just as she was about to walk back in to the library, the lady's eyes shifted to where most of the members were gathered. Taking a closer look, there she saw Azure which appears to be the center of everyone's attention right now. He was injured, and maybe unconscious? Aries felt that panic and it didn't take long for her to approach the others. The chef, Dominique, was kind enough to feed him, seeing that he was in no condition to do so. There she also saw Abe treating his wounds. Aries could never be more thankful having such a reliable person aboard. Walking past the others, the fair lady kneeled down close to Azure's face and pinched his cheeks with little annoyance behind it. She released a shaky breath and held his hands tight. "Thank goodness you're okay." Aries did feel somehow furious against her childhood friend. Seeing how he went ahead and stirred the ship away, only to leave the person who has been taking care of them ever since. But she knew there must've been a reason. There should be. But she wasn't present before the whole chaos even started. The woman knew she can't just blame people unknowingly like that.

"Ms. Dominique? I can take it from here" Aries says, gently taking the utensil out of the lady's hand. Seeing Infinity's current case, for sure there are other stuff that the crew needs to tend to. At the least, she knows how to feed a patient for them. Nonetheless, her mind was released of those worrisome thoughts about the captain. However, another danger might've been happening somewhere. The shaking of the ground caused the blue haired girl to barely catch the bowl she was now holding. Which made her think... Jin and Hush is still not back. "I wonder what happened to those two?"

FIONA SHREKA
Fiona felt a spread of warmth throughout her chest when Azure welcomed her gesture. The solemn expression on her face perked up as she felt a slight flush reach her ears. She was glad to have been able to do good towards the man, her unseen shackles shaking at the small act. At the corner of her eyes, she caught glimpse of Shiloh supportively smiling at her. It made her feel a little conscious as she felt her heart skip a few beats. She couldn't help but tuck a few strands of hair behind her ear.

Soon enough, the helmsman began picking himself back on two feet. She could still sense his weakness, but she couldn't say anything else as he proceeded to tell them what the ship would be requiring. Everything Azure listed was something Fiona had no experience in, but she was still very much determined to help as she eagerly nodded at each one. However, her fervor was quickly fractured when Red faced her with his cold yet factual words.

Fiona almost flinched under his gaze, memories swamping back in her mind after Red suggested she return to her quarters. It was a familiar line thrown her way. People had always been quick to dismiss her offers of help. It was almost as if they all believed she has nothing to contribute. The truth was Fiona had long felt like a doll on a shelf. She thought that embarking on this expedition would give her a fresh start, but now, she has found herself once again being told to sit by the side.

Her fiery gaze lingered on Red for a moment too long as he made his way towards Shiloh. She'd be damned if she listened to the words of a man who could easily turn his back on someone who genuinely cared for him! Besides, Azure was already well taken care of by Abe, Aries, and Dom. Adding herself to the mix would be an overkill.
"Don't worry, I'll search for the two of them."
Fiona assured after hearing Aries' question.

Then, the scholar decided to take a few steps away from the small group. A rather strange sight followed as Fiona stretched her arms to the sides and emitted a flash of hot white. At its wake, her feminine form has been completely replaced by that of a large avian, with feathers of ivory and gold arranged to form its majesty.

The bird released a loud cry before flapping her wings and flying past the two men. She then soared high above the cerulean sky, maintaining the altitude and scanning the parameters with its great perception thereafter. Fiona easily took notice of the fiasco between Jin and the hulking creature attacking him. While she didn't spot Hush anywhere, she believed the girl was safe and sound as she has a natural talent for hiding. Besides, she doubted Jin would let anything happen to their dear friend.

Fiona then casted her gaze to the East, where her attention was fetched by the sight of what appeared to be another crashed ship. She flew closer to the site, its intricacies becoming much clearer and more familiar to her as she closed their distance. The vessel looked like it has been sitting in the island for over a year as plants had conquered most of its exteriors. Upon closer inspection, Fiona discovered that most of the ship's parts were still in a relatively good condition despite signs of collision, striking her odd. Common air vessels would degrade rapidly if unintended for a long time, she has read about it back in the royal library. With this in mind, she curiously scrutinized the ship's design until another realization hit her, causing her to immediately turn around and fly back.

She eventually set her gaze on Red and Shiloh who were now past the forest's entrance. She dropped her altitude to their head level, circling both of them as a signal to stay put. The shapeshifter would then land in front of the pair, squawking once before emitting another flash of light as she reverted back to Fiona. Well, if Fiona has a big beak instead of lips.

"Mr. Jin is fighting a Moose-Bear ahead, but it seems like everything is under his control. I didn't see little Hush from above, but I feel like she's safe hiding behind covers."
She reported as she rose from the ground and dusted herself, clearly oblivious to her new mouth.
"Additionally, I saw another crashed vessel to the East. Judging by its overgrowth, it looks like it has been in the island for over a year or two. I think its parts are still intact and we can scrap them for the Infinity."
She then slowly alternated her gaze between Red and Shiloh, a drop of sweat rolling down her temple. She has more to say, but she was unsure whether she should do so or not, and she could only hope that her face wasn't reflecting her hesitation.

Unfortunately for her, she was blessed with a very expressive face.

Little old me in a big world

azure hitch

The nearly passed out male would be on the deck, having rolled over and looked up to the sky, everyone watching over him as another guilt had begun to wash over him. Maybe this was even too much for Azure to try and fake through. Red and Shiloh had run off but at least Shiloh had promised to get him some materials. Of course, Azure later would need to say how much after all, Azure never measured but got pretty good at guessing the right length and such. There was a point and time when Gramps was growing tired of Azure breaking things due to his strength. While most of the time it's Unintentional it was still a lot so Gramps told him. 'You break it, you fix it! It's a good kill to learn my child.' That was how Azure became so good at fixing things, to an extent. As his thoughts began to spiral, they were quickly pulled back to reality to the smell of the steak and he darted his eyes to Dom.

His body was refusing to move, begging for food yet unwilling to try and expend energy to get it. As Dom held the steak over him, Azure was debating the best way to even begin to eat it, his mouth-watering. But before he could try and lean up and possibly slurp it out of her hands, Abe had come over, removing the other's barely fitting top and would begin to heal the other. With Abe's ability and Azure's ability to just heal faster seconds and he was already feeling much better.

"I had no other choice Abe, she was trying to slow down but whatever extra speed was added to her was too much too soon," Azure spoke to Abe's question and looked to Dom, their wonderful chef.

Dom was one of Azure's favorite people. Though he could say that about many people on the ship, except many of the two newer people. Again, nothing against Shiloh and Fiona simply, just not knowing them as well. However, Dom was always busy with making food for him and Abe and really, he couldn't be more appreciative. His two abilities to heal faster and his inhuman strength require a lot of energy, on on top of just working out, many like to compare his pit of a stomach to a void or a black hole, and honestly, Azure couldn't blame them. It was insane the amount he could eat in a sitting before even thinking he might feel truly full.
"Yeah, what Abe said. Jin and Hush left earlier. Red and Shiloh went to check it out. Everyone else is here." He added to Abe answering Dom's question before.

That's when Aries had come over and Azure glanced at her for a moment, checking to make sure she was physically okay before looking away, not able to look at her in the eyes knowing, she knew Gramps even before him, even before he was born. Before his thoughts could spiral once more When Aries would take the food from Dom. It was at this point that Azure would bolt upright, snatching the steak from mid-air and begin to eat it, chomping and slurping the steak in with his mouth alone, as he would eat what was in his mouth and the rest would comically hang out of his mouth as he looked towards the forest, then around to the crowd that had formed around him.

Azure would then pull his legs in and now sitting criss-cross apple sauce, and was holding the meat in his hands, looking down at the beautiful medium rare steak as he finished the large bit now taken out fo it. They all deserved to know why Azure left, the ones who weren't on board. But, Azure simply, needed a moment. Yes, a moment to actually gather and organize his brain filled with thoughts. Azure would watch Fiona shift and well, fly off, confused but really, didn't want to question that ability. There was already so much in his mind that he would simply accept whatever Fiona just did as fact.

"Even as a bird, she is still a princess huh?" Azure joked lightly, as it was beginning to become a crew joke to call Fiona princess. Azure then would look around at the group that was helping him and then to the forest but would turn back to look at Lindsey, who was trying to take charge but people were leaving and coming back, it was a mess, to say the least, and figured, if he left now it wouldn't do anyone any good. He still needed time to recover.

"I...once everyone is back I'll...I'll explain myself...but I'm sorry guys....for everything. Leaving the scene so soon, the unexpected boost, the crash landing...just, all of it." Azure said softly, his voice trailing off as his eyes began to water again. Now that he was feeling much better, the beast of a man would shove the rest of the meat in his mouth, using both his hands to get up, wiping his watery eyes with his arm once he had stood his full 6'8. Many were familiar with the sight of Azure being topless as he often tore shirts that he wore, and somehow didn't this time around, but in the end, it was still of his body. On the right half of his torso, a tree covering the majority of that half, and all over his body, faint scars on the front and back due to Azure's clumsy nature but also, well-defined muscles, as Azure always tries to stay in the best shape, and undeniable so to the rest of the crew, especially of those on board. A fairy majority was covered by the tattoo, the branches of a tree used to cover up scars, but there were faint scars on top of the tattoo, showing a time difference between the two, yet one of the bigger scars, was the two on his chest, covering up to horizontal scars from his accidental but convenient top surgery.

As the Moosebear approached ever closer, Jin stood his ground while his gaze had remained locked upon that of the white orbs that had been the creature's eyes as it approached the duo ever closer. If Hush were to refuse to hand over her dagger, the least they could do was to defeat the beast together. Attempting to battle this monstrous beast without a proper way to draw his own blood while avoiding actual direct physical harm from the creature would not be impossible for Jin but it surely would be more inconvenient more than anything else.
Finally, as one of Hush's daggers was thrown and now sticking out of the ground beside him, Jin shifted his attention down towards the strange design of the weapon. At first, he was prepared to bend over and pick up the dagger, however with a closer examination of the weapon, a familiar symbol on the weapon caused him to practically freeze in place. At the end of the handle was a circular engraved symbol of the Church of Eternity, the sight of the symbol alone caused hallucinations to run rampant through his head as the sounds of distant screams, the mumbling of church prayers, the whirling of surgical tools, all of which echoed through his mind as he continued to stare down at the dagger.

During this time, the large beast continued to approach until it had finally arrived in front of Jin. Suddenly, as the sound of the creature letting out a bloodcurdling roar filled the air, Jin was quickly snapped out of his trance-like state. Just as the beast lifted one of his paws to swipe downwards towards its prey, he quickly dropped himself down into a crouch simply to roll out of the way while grabbing a hold of the weapon that he despised. With being able to slip behind the large animal, Jin had once more taken his eyes down upon the weapon in his hand before tightening his grip around the purple handle, why did Hush have a weapon from the church, was she someone sent from the church to spy on him, were the bounty hunters there due to her slipping information, was she the reason why the captain was now possibly dead. All these thoughts and questions filled his mind, the possibility of Hush being a traitor enraged him.

All the while, after the Moosebear had missed its prey after just the first strike, it was quick to turn around before charging forward with much more ferocity. Each time the beast's paws stomped downwards, the ground itself had trembled and shook as it roared and twisted its head in rapid motions causing its acidic saliva to splatter in every direction, melting away any and all flora that was unfortunate enough to be touched by it. By the time Jin had taken his gaze once more upon the large animal, rather than hold the weapon towards the creature, he'd bring the tip of the dagger to his forearm. As he prepared himself to draw his own blood once again, the sight of the church's engraved symbol yet again caused him to hesitate. For a split of a second, all he could see was a bright white light in front of him and the feel of a cold metal surface against his back. The next moment, as he blinked, Jin found himself sent flying due to the Moosebear's claws. Hitting his back against one of the large trees, he winced and coughed from the agonizing pain while still firmly gripping onto the dagger.

"Get it together Jin...you've dealt with worse with the Captain, this should be nothing..." Attempting to get his mental state under control, he cursed under his breath for being caught off guard. As the beast once more charged forward, this time extending out its paws and claws forward to attempt and tear its prey in two, Jin gritted his teeth while his cat-like ears flattened against his skull. "Not again...Never again...!" With a low whispered shout under his breath, the male ran the blade of the dagger along his shoulder and quickly sliced downwards along his arm causing a massive portion of his skin to be sliced off exposing muscle and tissue as blood came rushing outwards. In an instant however, the blood that ran down along his arm began to move and swirl like tentacle-like appendages before they came together to form a massive scythe-like blade sticking out of his arm. The sheer size of the blade alone was enough to jab itself deep into the center of the Moosebear's large frame only to come out the opposite end of its body, the large creature froze in place while hanging limply onto the glistening crimson blade before falling off onto its side while Jin's arm began to give off a slow sizzling sound of his skin healing itself rapidly.

Helping himself to stand against the large trunk of the tree, Jin dusted himself off of the dirt while taking a gander down at Hush's dagger in his hand once more. 'Hush has a lot of answering to do...' With his mind set on what his next task was going to be, he approached the corpse of the Moosebear only to end up cutting through the fur, skin and bone of one of the beast's large arms. While Jin didn't exactly have the same amount of physical strength as Azure or Fang, he was still strong enough in his own right to be able to carry back a large portion of the creature back to the ship for Dom to cook up. Even if they already had restocked on plenty of supplies earlier at the port, more food was never a bad thing.
Stowing away Hush's dagger onto one of his belt buckles that he normally would use to hold his own sword, Jin swung the Moosebear's arm over his shoulder before proceeding to head back towards the direction he originally came in.

On his return trip, he ended up coming face to face with some familiar faces oddly enough. It was Red, Shiloh, and Fiona. With a raised brow at the sight of other members of the crew out in the forest, Jin couldn't help but chuckle as he waved his free arm towards the trio while his other held onto the large chunk of meat that was the Moosebear's severed arm. "Heey guys, what're you doing out here? Shouldn't ya guys be helping repair the ship?"

So far everything was coming along nicely people were slowly gathering on the deck. She waited and watched as everyone appeared one by one. Fang had started cleaning which yeah that needed to be done so she didn't stop him. Once everyone had made it on the deck Lindsey began to speak up and get everyone's attention until suddenly there was a sudden tremor. Lindsey lost her balance for moment but manage to keep where she was. She turned her head towards the forest and wondered if Jin and hush ran into something. She wondered if she should go check for herself and bring a extra person while someone else take control of the ship. As she stood there trying to decide what to do next she suddenly saw Shiloh running into the forest with Red trailing behind him.

"Hey! Wait min! Get back here! Guys?! You know you can't just run off like that! At leas tell me first!"

Lindsey crossed her arms annoyed. Though after thinking about she supposed it wasn't a big deal. She had planned on sending two people anyway. Though one of them was going to be her freaking self! Well whatever it was fine. She turned back to the group.

"Alright everyone listen up! I know everyone is in their feeling right now but we don't have to time wallowing in our sadness. There is a 50% chance that ou-..."

Lindsey stopped in the middle of her sentence when she saw Fiona suddenly turn into a bird a fly off towards the direction of the others. Lindsey stood there for a moment with a blank expression on her face. Now the new girl was going to up and fly away. What could she not live with out seeing her boyfriend for a few seconds?! Could she not say hey Lin mind if I go help out the others? Nope just running off like EVERYONE ELSE. Suddenly smile appeared on her face.

"You know what."

Lindsey hopped off the railing. She crossed her arms and glanced at the others still here.

"Alright look Azure when your healed get whoever you need to help you fix the ship. I'm going to my room to check and see if any of the weapons are damaged. Everyone else.....go frolic in the forest and fight monsters and shit. I don't know. Do what you want."

Lindsey said all of this with a seemingly unbothered with a bright smile on her face but well if the crew knew her well enough it was very clear she was not happy. In fact she was very very annoyed. And the smile probably came off more unsettling if anything. Was she over reacting? Maybe. Did she care? No she felt it was justified to be annoyed. Lindsey then turned around and headed straight to her room. To check on the weapons. She thought about heading out to the forest. But she thought best to stay on the ship. Once she made it to her room she opened her door and saw that it was pretty much a mess. Not that it wasn't already a mess but her original mess had order. She scratch the back of her head looking around. This was definitely going to be a task. She wondered why she just didn't come to do this in the first place. This would of been way more worth her time then trying to deal with the crew. Maybe she'd prank someone later. That always put her in a good mood. She started picking up everything and putting it back in place and gathering all the weapons that needed to be fixed.

Hush
There was a moment when Hush doubted her decision to leave Jin's side. She winced the moment the Moosebear swatted him against the tree. He was being sloppy, clearly lost in thought. Was his indecisiveness her fault? She said some rather harsh things earlier, and while she was trying to help, the loss had taken a heavy toll on the man. She supposed an apology was in order. She planned to sneak one in when asking for her dagger back.

Soon enough, the beast was defeated. Hush made sure to keep herself camouflaged while Jin began his return to the airship. Leaping from tree to tree, she felt a slight wave of relief wash over her when she saw Red, Shiloh, and Fiona in the distance. This is good enough, she thought. They were going to be safe while traveling in a group that size. Hush still felt uncomfortable around Shiloh and Fiona, and she had already told Jin she had gone on ahead of him. It was better to be left unnoticed, so she left them behind and headed for the Infinity alone.

The deck was crowded when she made it back. A quick scan of the area and she noticed that Lindsey was nowhere among them. Her eyes eventually fell on Aries and Azure, watching as the librarian fed the exhausted man. It looked like her worrying was unwarranted. Hush thought to join them, having promised herself she would visit Aries when she returned, but she hesitated. She was partially to blame for Pops' disappearance. Her past continued to hurt others, even now.

It was best to create some distance.

With a small 'hup,' she hoisted herself on deck. Gingerly, she walked to Dom and Abe, speaking up from behind the doctor. "Where's Lindsey?" The request was simple. She had a job to do. Her personal feelings were unimportant. There was no need to complicate things further with her presence.

Seeing Azure full of appetite as he finished the steak almost in one bite, it gave Aries quite a relief. Though something felt off as the once injured man who seems to be back at his own two feet can't even meet her eye. As a girl who is typically quiet, she mostly observed people from afar. It wasn't THAT hard to notice the difference in treatment. She would've at least appreciated any sort of explanation, or just simply asking how she is. Anything would've been enough. The two has been in each other's company for so long. At times like this, shouldn't they be there for each other? Isn't that how it works? With the sight of Azure leaving, the lady didn't even bother to stop whatever he was planning to do. As she was once again filled with conflicted thoughts, their newly welcomed crew, Fiona, was considerate enough to help with another set of her worries.

"Don't worry, I'll search for the two of them." Fiona answered.

Aries felt that assurance in her tone. The librarian gave her a simple nod, her gaze following the scarlet eyed lady as she took off from Infinity. In mere seconds, a flash of light emitted from a distance, seeing as this majestic and almost familiar specie had began soaring through the skies. I've seen that somewhere.. The fair lady thought, as she stood near the railings, her eyes still following the white avian. It was that moment she catches on another familiar figure approaching the ship. "It's Hush!" Aries shouted as she waved towards her direction. She waited as her so-called little sister had joined them at the deck. "Where have you been? I was worried?" The fair lady asked, her arms open, longing for that physical comfort she always received from Hush. Still, she was yet again greeted by another distant behavior. Slowly putting her arms down, the woman let out a soft sigh. There was this pain that she felt from her body. Was it the bruise? Or was it her heart? It could be both. Either way, the awkward position she's currently in was something she didn't want to prolong. With their second in command leaving, feeling awfully annoyed as she seems to keep on failing from gathering the whole crew, the librarian decided to leave as well.

"I'll just... be at the library." Aries voices out, not bothering to look at anyone as she left the remaining crowd.

The lady then decided to go back to the room where she is at peace and away from that uncomfortable situation. Just then, she felt a rather strong pain in her rib, which her body seems to have been ignoring with all that has happened recently. The lady approached the nearest restroom she could find. Facing the mirror, she lifts up her top garment only to find a large darkened bruise, covering most of her left rib. It must've been from the turbulence. She whispered under her breath. Dropping back her clothing, she noticed tears coming out of her eyes. It all started to fall gently, until.. it became uncontrollable. She couldn't stop it. The warm liquid, now enveloping her young and weakened face. There she felt most alone. "What am I supposed to do now?" She says as her voice starts to break. What she truly feared happened again. Abandonment.. first by her mother... next was her sister.. and now? She has none to rely on.

Abraham raised his shoulders in response to Azure. Maybe there was some other way but he couldn't really tell the helmsman off. After all, what he did was effective and efficient and he wasn't actually dead. "Marie outdid herself this time with that." The ship had gone so dangerously fast that he wouldn't have been surprised if they were flung off just like that. It was certainly a terrifying experience and he doubted he would have been fine had he been any weaker. He was sure that he would be sore once he started to rest. Expending energy for healing whatever injury the crew had would also leave him hungry and tired.

Aries had come over to check on her friend and he gave her a nod of acknowledgment. Much like what he had decided before, he kept his mouth shut. Of course, he had expected the others to say something. They were all much closer than he was to her. But people seemed to avoid her gaze— an admittance of guilt perhaps? He hummed before taking his hands off Azure once he sat up. "I'd tell you to get some bed rest for the next few hours at least but... but I really doubt you'd follow that. But please, pace yourself." He gave the younger man a pat on his back as he stood up himself. "Give yourself time. Everyone needs to give themselves some time to process."

Before their very eyes, Fiona had transformed into a bird in a flash of light. "W-Wait I-!" He called after her before letting out a defeated sigh as she had already taken flight in search of their other crewmates. "Nevermind. If she can do that, she's probably fine then." He muttered to herself with a shake of his head. Shiloh had mentioned that he had a few bruises. Perhaps he was there to protect her during that time. The idea itself made him smile on the inside. Despite what he thought of their standing in society, it was always important to have a loyal companion beside you— be it your lover, in their case, or a friend.

That seemed to be the last straw as Lindsey, who was trying to keep the crew in check, stormed off. Despite the smile on her face, she seemed thoroughly annoyed with what had transpired. He rubbed the back of his neck, unsure of what he should say in such a situation, so he elected to keep silent once again. He always found it best to keep his mouth shut than even trying. Once Lindsey had disappeared below deck, he made a cursory glance at everyone. He clapped his hand once to catch their attention. "If anyone feels that they had been injured earlier, please... please come and see me so we can, uh, do something about it. I'll... I'll be around here." Aside from Azure, no one seemed to have any visible injury. Visible unfortunately did not mean that there were none.

It wasn't long until Hush returned from looking for Jin. No reports, merely asking where Lindsey was. Abraham gestured towards the stairs leading down to the lower decks. "Her workshop." Abraham was going to let Lindsey explain herself instead of saying it himself. Hush wasn't in a moment of distress so he could assume that no one was hurt.

Aries was there to welcome Hush but the young girl looked away. Oh. Abraham turned his attention to the librarian who muttered that she would head back to the library. He scratched his neck, watching her carefully before making one more cursory glance at the others and letting out a sigh. "I will visit the kitchen later." Abraham voiced out to Dominique before making his way below deck as well. There was a strained look on the young librarian's face and he wondered if it was because of emotional distress or a physical one.

Abraham reached the library and opened the door, her name on his tongue to call her out before noticing that he couldn't spot the blue-haired girl. Then sobs. He followed the sound and found himself looking through the bathroom to see Aries sobbing to herself. He could leave. He doubted she had seen him. He was about to turn around when he heard her talking to herself and he found himself looking at a younger version of himself. Lost. Alone. Feeling like the world had caved in on her and hope seemingly lost.

He took a deep breath and approached her, kneeling down beside her but keeping his hands to himself. "Hey." He said softly, not wanting to startle her. "Do you want a hug? And we can talk it out. A lot happened and I'm here to listen." He paused momentarily. "You're not alone, I promise."

Shiloh Caswell

Shiloh was quick with his feet, he had already entered the forest when Red came to his side. Had it been anyone else his jaw wouldn't have clenched unintentionally. Negative feelings have resurfaced, emotions that were nothing strong but annoyed him to no end. "Rush? I have no intention of going in blindly. Only to assess the situation, then bring them back if I can." Shiloh turned to face his newly arrived companion with reassuring eyes. "Apologies if my words seem rather blunt, Mr. Red. I simply worry for the crew, with the Captain's whereabouts unknown, losing two more of its precious members would not bode well for everyone else. I will fight for them if I have to, it's the least I could do after welcoming us in but nothing reckless."

He knew his capabilities, he didn't become what he is at such a young age if he wasn't skilled. Jin seemed pretty capable too. The only reckless thing Shiloh had done was to fall for someone he knew was too far from his reach. His thoughts were broken by a squawk from a very familiar bird of prey. A Gigamin with golden to gray feathers enveloping its body accompanied by two blushes at each side of the beak. It wasn't a surprise to him that the bird had become Fiona after a flash of light, the beak too. It took him everything not to laugh, he even bit the inside of his cheek, fondly remembering their first meeting.

He's not exactly happy that Fiona ventured out on her own but she was still her own person. Besides, it's hard for him to be angry with her. Frustrated yes, but never angry.

He looked to Red then to Fiona, a dread forming at the pit of his stomach. He ignored the feeling away, and asked, "What is it? It looks like there's more you want to say." It was then that Jin had trudged out of the forest, a section of the Moose-bear in his arm. "Good to see that you're okay, we were about to see if you needed help but it seems you got things covered."

Shiloh let out a quiet sigh and stepped closer to the woman, "Fiona mentioned that there is an abandoned boat just East of here. It could be helpful in repairing the ship, would you want us to check it out?" He simply wanted to be closer to her, even when things were still unclear between them. He hoped that later, their conversation from earlier could continue when they finally have their time alone.

Little old me in a big world

azure hitch

With the final straw from Lindsey, everyone would begin to disappear, Azure sitting on the deck, looking at the wooden floorboards as he heard the many footsteps of people leaving. Lindsey went somewhere, Dom went back to her room, Aries and Abe soon disappeared as well and the big man would eventually pull his knees to his chest, wrapping one arm around his legs, his other resting on the wood of the infinity as he simply looked out the forest. He would have given small waves and nods as people spoke to him or said they were leaving, the silence around him finally as those from the forest would appear, with really only Azure waiting for them with his still red and glassy eyes. The male would offer the forest group a small smile but his thoughts were elsewhere when they arrived.

What the hell was he going to say to those who didn't hear the orders given? What was his excuse for listening to the orders instead of diving down to gramps right then and there? The truth was, Azure didn't know himself. At that moment, he was truly just moving his body, doing as he told, barely even thinking as his hands and feet moved on their own. Would that even be enough of an explanation? Azure doubt it, he was never good with words or explaining, that was a known fact for many. He at least needed to tell the other two why. The other two are, Aries and Jin, at the very least.

As Hush hopped on deck as Abe answer her and Azure nodded, getting up again and looking down at the smaller person now on deck. "Everyone else has...well, gone to their rooms I guess. I was waiting for everyone to get back to....explain myself," Azure said softly, strange for the usually loud and tall man to be talking so softly and so feminine, something clearly still upsetting him despite the smile that Azure would keep on offering, trying counter or balance his red eyes. Hearing the forest grow quiet, it seemed that whatever was out there was dealt with and Azure sighed heavily as he would look around at the pretty much empty deck.

"Hush, you'll help me with some repairs, right? I'll need someone small to look under the ship as I lift her up," he said, his voice still as soft and feminine as before as he would begin to walk around the deck and note the places that will need patching up. Occasionally bending down to touch some spots that were created by himself and JIn and ended up back at the railing that he had broken to jump off the ship, peering over the edge to see if there was much battle damage, making mental notes of the damage.

"Most of the deck, sections of the railing, reinforce sections of the sides of the ship, check the bottom of the ship, replace the boards broken in the front, repaint, reseal and stain..." The male would mumble, crouching down to the broken railing, looking at how it was broken off and if it was best to just repair all of it. Honestly, this was the best way to distract himself for the time. Then Azure would get up and eventually for a moment leave the deck and go to the store where they keep all these repairs supplies and tools that he uses. Not that Azure knows the name of any of them but boy does Azure know how to use them. A few minutes would pass as Azure collected the variety of tools he would need, stopping by his own room to grab a bandana that would be put on with his hair pulled back as he returned to the main deck, holding an ungodly amount of woodworking tools and such in on hands, and scrap materials and a few extras already finished boards in the other, carrying more than any human should. Yet that was normal for Azure, this was barely a sack of potatoes for him. Azure then would jump down off the side of the ship at the front, as he would set up his working area as he knows he needs to cut down some trees and finish them up to replace everything fully.

Soon a table with all the tools was set up, the spare few planks were set to the side, and Azure would get to work. If he was working, then he wasn't thinking. That or at least he could talk to the Infinity at least. Azure would decide to start at the front of the ship, hammer in hand as he would begin to pull off the broken boards to be ready to be replaced, memories flooding his brain again.

When Azure was younger, as they were beginning to wonder if they were a girl, they had gone through this phase of rebellion as a way to hide the fact they were struggling not only with their identity but also with their strength.
Lashing out for them was them getting out their anger, their frustration, being unsure of how to use their words, not having their parents to go to, and not wanting to bother Jin, Aries, or Gramps about whatever they were feeling. So they didn't lash out, and for them, it caused a lot of destruction.

On this day on the ship, it was a bright sunny afternoon but it was very windy, and they were just about to dock, and Azure was at the helm as usual, fighting against the wind. When trying to dock the ship, a strong gust of wind was caught in their sail, Azure freaked out as she tried to keep the ship steady and well, and ended up snapping the entirety of the helm. That wasn't just it, as it also wasn't the first time it happened. With tears in her eyes, she would hold the freshly broken off helm and slam it into the ground, the crew on the deck looking at her with concern as she gritted her death, the ship crashing into the dock as the people inland were now too in a panic. Everything was loud and a blur to her as Gramps would storm up to the helm, shouting about something, picking up the wheel to see the damage done to the floorboards beneath.

"Azure, Azure! Are you even listening to me, my child!" He shouted, Azure finally snapping their head to look at their captain, breathing heavily as they tried their best to not scream.
"My child, this is the 4th time! Thats it! I am not letting you and your outburst cause any more damage! We can't leave and won't leave until you learn how to fix it! Do you understand?"

Azure wanted to scream, wanted to shout, want to cry. It wasn't like she was trying to break it! She just...couldn't control her strength! That was it, she couldn't control it, folding her arms and flipped her head the other way, visibly shaking now as her hair that was tied up flipped around her. It was at this point that she felt something drop down her face, reaching a hand up to see blood on her hand. A piece of wood must have flung up and hit her face. Rather than being yelled at more, a gentle hand would turn Azure's face back to face gramps, seeing his face soften.

"Azure...my sweet girl. You are gifted with incredible strength, such as myself. I faced this same problem when I was younger. I'm...I'm not mad at you, just the situation okay? I'm sorry for yelling my child." the gentle voice of gramps would speak, Azure's body tensing up more. "You will keep on breaking things, I know this. So, let me help you teach you how to fix it so you can keep on breaking things on accident with no fear, okay?"

Azure eyes widen as she looked directly into Gramps's eyes. So she can keep on breaking things? He expected this. Her own body language soften and her lip quivered but turned into a smile as a single tear fell. "Y-yeah. Okay," she said softly.

A single tear would slip down Azure's own face as he would finish pulling out the first board, and would lean his head against the ship for a moment before setting the board aside.

"I really put you and gramps through a lot huh girl?"

Hush
Hush gave a curt nod to Abe's reply. The answer was to be expected, Lindsey being the type to retreat to her workshop whenever one of her 'fantastical ideas' struck her. That never seemed to bode well for the little assassin. Still, a job was a job. She planned to give her report and leave just as quickly. The idea of staying in an enclosed space with the ballistic nutball had to be avoided at all costs.

When she turned to head off, she came face-to-face with Aries. Their large smile and opened arms were like a ray of warm light, washing over Hush unrelentingly. There was a pause. Then, another gap of silence. It became clear that Hush had no intention of giving in to the girl's desires. She stared blankly at them with glazed eyes. This was for the best. When Aries' face turned to disappointment, a bitter feeling stung in the pit of Hush's stomach.

Their resigned proclamation to leave for the library was not lost on Hush's ears. Her hand suddenly reached out toward the fleeing librarian. Aries, wait--. She worded the sentence, but her voice fell short. They had left. Hopelessly, Hush's arm fell to her side. She watched as Abe went after her instead. How many bridges did she need to burn before she was content? Not even she knew the answer to that.

Everyone had left, save for Azure. The youngest on the ship watched as the behemoth of an individual approached her and made his request. Her eyes trailed over to see Abe turn a corner, deciding to let him handle the aftermath. "Okay," she agreed. Lindsey would eventually learn that Jin was safe with the group, anyway. The report wasn't the biggest concern currently. With the ship in dire straits, it would be foolhardy for Hush to deny Azure. "Lead the way."

Waiting for Azure to gather his supplies, Hush stared at the bright sky above. The day had felt much longer to her than she thought. The crew loses Pops for less than a day, and everything is already up in flames. She crossed her arms over her chest and squinted. Now that the initial shock was gone, why did she feel so empty? Unlike Jin, Azure, and Aries, she expressed very few emotions over the ordeal. Was it a needless optimism that the captain was safe and sound, or did she not care? Her mind lingered on the possibility of it being more of an inconvenience than a topic to be sad over. She frowned. Had she always been so calloused?

Azure returned with his tools and some spare wood. Even Hush could recognize they needed much more than what was on hand, but she kept it to herself. There wasn't much she could do, so she patiently watched the helmsman begin his work. They were quiet, lost in thought. A common trend that she had seen many times today. She wondered what caused them to be so deeply invested in the meticulous work. His tear caught her eye. Then, Azure had his odd habit of speaking with the ship.

It reminded her of the first month she arrived on the Infinity. It had been late in the night, and while everyone else was sleeping, she had decided to get some fresh air. Back then, she was still suffering from her lack of faith. Her life went awry, and there was no scaffolding to grip onto. She was lost in a sea of thoughts, just like Azure was now. That night, Hush first experienced Azure's tendency to speak with the ship. It was also the night she learned about his transmasculinity.

Of course, she had no clue what that meant. It led to some odd conversations between her, Pops, and Aries. Even then, the concept was still lost to her. What she did understand, however, was the pain and confusion that it sometimes caused him. A lack of identity. An obscure purpose. Mulling on it, it was similar to her loss of faith. Hush gingerly put her hand on his shoulder, looking away shyly.

"You're a good person, Azure," she whispered. It was more than she could say for herself. "It's not your fault." A part of her knew her words meant nothing. It's one of the many reasons why she hardly ever spoke. Even so, Hush realized the mistakes she made with Jin and Aries. Another apology was in order. "How can I help?"

"I stay out too late, got nothin in my brain, that's what people say, hm, hm." Fang splashed the wet mop on what he could only guess was a mixture of rum and water with a pinch of juice from somewhere.

The cleaning process seemed infinite, it always did. But, every now and then there was that one beautiful moment when Fang had nothing to clean, it was perfect. The satisfaction of having finished such a heavy task always brightened up Fang's week. He always used that free time to socialize with his crewmates, playing cards, drinking, eating and even trying to choose a good book, which he never does since reading and cleaning is a difficult combination, but he tires to at least want to get into the habit of reading. So, once again he was focused, aiming to clean the uncleanable, to reach the unreachable to overcome the unovercoma-

"Screw it." Fang tossed the mop to the side and placed his hands on his hips, "Yeah, not feeling it today. I mean look at all this, I had this place shiny clean a while ago and now look at it. I can only imagine the rest of the ship, I'm tired." He sighed loudly, picking up the mop and starting to walk down the hallway.

He reached his own little Janitor's closet, opening it up and tossing his utility belt, mop and rags inside. He kept his trusty katana, placed it over his shoulder and walked away whistling. He felt fresh being relieved from his duties and if they were going to save the captain, he needed to be prepared. The will probably get dirty again attempting to save the old man, so there was really no rush. He just needed to avoid Hush, so she wouldn't make him clean her part of the ship, easy.

Knock knock! Fang stood outside Lindsey's room, humming his favorite Taylor Swift song while looking up at the ceiling, the nice clean ceiling. Knock knock! "Yo! Lindsey! Teach me how to shoot people!" he called out.

Fang couldn't rely on his sand too much, all though he was good with it, the small amount he could handle wasn't great for taking out opponents and while he could increase its size, it also made moving it a lot slower the bigger it got. So, he figured he might as well learn how to use a gun, until he could face Hush again.

Song that's currently playing in her room:

After Lindsey separated everything she walked over to her cd collection deciding she wanted music to drown her thoughts out. After choosing one she went over to her player and popped the cd in. She turned the volume up and and put it on repeat. It just so happened to be one of her favorite songs. Something about it spoke to her. She didn't have it up to loud to where she wouldn't be able to hear someone knock but it was loud enough to drown her thoughts out. Jinx then sat down her desk with a broken gun in hand and started working on it. She had only been working on it for 5 mins when she suddenly heard a knock on the door. Had the others come back? She thought to herself. She stopped for moment turned out it was Fang. Asking if he could teach her how to shoot. Lindsey sat there for moment wondering why she thought it was one of the folks that left. It's not like any of them was going to bother announcing their return....well Hush might with a report. Whatever they were fine she didn't care.

"Teach him how to shoot huh?"

A mischievous grin appeared on her face and she got up and opened the door the music still playing in the background. She gave him a friendly smile but she couldn't hide the mischievousness in her eyes that she was feeling. She leaned one arm against the door frame and but her other hand on her hip.

"Wanna learn how to shoot huh? Surrrre I'll teach ya. But I need to know exactly what you need help with and!....your going to have to be willing to use live targets. Or otherwise your not worth my time. So tell me green eyes,"

Lindsey put her hands behind her back and leaned in closer to Fang with very slight hint of flirtation.

"Are you worth my time?"

As Red kept to Shiloh's side, letting his eyes scan the forest surrounding them as they moved, he would glance over with a curious look as he assured Red he had no intentions of rushing forward. The two of them have not had many chances to speak in private, but it was a relief to know he had enough sense not to charge head-first into danger without thought. After Shiloh admitted his worry for the crew and determination to fight for them Red felt a small, amused smile slip onto his face as he looked forward. At least he had a sense of honor to pay his debts. "Very well then Mr. Caswell. I'll make sure to pass your enthusiasm to serve to the captain once we recover him," Red said, keeping his gaze forward as they continued through the forest, the foliage slowly becoming dense the deeper they traveled.

Soon the sound of flapping wings caught Red's attention, making him look up with an arched brow before ducking instinctively as a gold and gray feathered bird swooped down and began to circle them "Blasted flying pest!" Red shouted in annoyance as he glared back up at the flying creature, waving his hand at the bird to shew it away. Before he continued his shouting at the bird he watched as it landed before them, chirped, and then become enveloped in a bright light that made Red briefly look away to spare his vision. After the light faded he looked back to where the bird was and raised his brows slightly in surprise. "Ah, it's you Ms.Shre-pfft!" Red failed to finish his sentence as his voice sputtered to a stop, covering his mouth to hide an amused smile as he quickly noticed Fiona's current condition. More specifically, the fact her lips had been replaced with a beak instead. For a moment Red struggled to contain himself, shaking slightly before realizing his sudden outburst.

Quickly he cleared his throat and ran a hand over his hair as he regained himself, looking away to hide a slight tent of red on his cheeks as he forced down his embarrassment. "A-apologies," he muttered before letting out a small breath. Luckily Fiona began to report her findings as he turned his attention back to her, informing them Jin seemed to have the situation under control, Hush was nowhere to be seen and of another shipwreck in the distance. A small frown came to his face as he sunk into his thoughts. Knowing Hush, Red knew she was somewhere close by in hiding, and to know Jin had things handled was a comforting relief. This wrecked ship though had caught his interest. It would be a good chance to salvage materials for the ship's repairs, but perhaps it held something else of use for them. Bringing his hand to his mouth and slowly stroking his chin, Red let his mind wander in thought before noticing Fiona's slight hesitation.

He arched a brow, slightly curious as to what she wanted to say, but remained silent as Shiloh questioned her first. Might as well let him prod seeing as they arrived on the crew together. Before he could get an answer out of her though Red quickly looked up as he heard someone approaching and felt slight relief to see Jin emerge. "Mr. Aethor," he greeted with a firm nod before glancing at the bounty of his victory. "I see you've managed to secure us tonight's dinner," he noted as he recognized the appendage he carried under his arm. A Moosebear, impressive.

As Shiloh informed Jin of the wrecked ship towards the east Red gave a nod as he rested his hand on the hilt of his sheathed blade. "There might even be something else of value we can use. Lost wealth, weapons, and ammunition. It wouldn't hurt to inspect," he said before looking between Fiona and Shiloh, thinking for a moment before looking back to Jin. "The three of us can investigate the scene and return before nightfall if you would allow it," Red said, respecting Jin's position before patting down a bit of dust from his coat. "Besides, after today's rather unfortunate turn of events, I'd prefer to stay on solid ground for a bit."

"I am all the time you're ever going to need." Fang replied with a cocky smile, while deep inside knowing it was true, he was never going to finish learning unless Lindsey had two life times worth of time. "Moving targets is perfect, the faster they move, the more dangerous I am." Which was true until proven wrong, "So what ya say? I can help clean up your room in return."

Fang placed his hands in his pockets, puffing up his chest and nodding towards her room. "Gun powder can permanently stain your bed and clothes, even walls. My chemicals are top notch, I can even leave your bed sheets smelling like flowers, lemon or even bubble gum. My skills for a nice clean workshop in exchange for your skills to shoot people who move, what ya say?"

He held out his hand, not too far since Lindsey was pretty close, and grinned proudly. At this rate, he was going to end up cleaning everyone's room...

FIONA SHREKA
"W-What? I have nothing else to say."

Fiona had always been akin to an open book under the gazes of Shiloh. It gave her conflicted feelings, for there were some secrets she'd like to keep - even from him. No matter how much they wanted to burst out of her chest and scream its truth for the world to hear.

Unfortunately, Fiona couldn't read others as well as Shiloh. If she did, she would understand Red and his actions much better. Like earlier, he could barely keep his composure after one look at her. It was a behavior of his that she was familiar with- fond of, even. Though, that was before everything happened, beyond all the hurt. When they still treasured a fate-forged bond. The very one Red chose to sever himself - another action of his that she failed to comprehend. Though... knowing he could smile again brought joy to her heart.

The maiden's mulling was cut short by another's appearance. It was Jin, carrying a chunk of flesh from what she could only assume to be the Moosebear he defeated. Fiona waved back, a big smile on what she thought was her lips but was actually just her beak hanging open. She felt glad that the ship's Quartermaster was safe and in good cheer, though she knew better than to doubt his martial skills despite their short acquaintance.

"Mr. Jin! You're back! Where is Hush? Is she okay?" She clasped her hands together and looked at him with wide eyes resembling those of a doe. Hush was someone she could consider a good friend within the ship. Albeit the girl would usually keep to herself, she would never shy from confiding in Fiona through her lengthy and insightful stares. They were practically silent cries for help; Fiona would rather walk the plank than let a clueless girl take the path of maidenhood alone.

Beside her, Shiloh began explaining to Jin her latest discovery. She eagerly nodded along to his words, giving him a thumbs-up after he drew closer. Red spoke up after, in support of exploring the abandoned ship which caused her face to brighten. "Yes, yes! I've scouted the site from above. It appears to be safe. I can lead the way!" She gestured towards Red and Shiloh, almost like a child showing off her responsible friends to receive permission from her guardian.

EIREN BRACKUS
STATUS: OPERATIONAL | BEWILDERED
LOCATION: DECK OF THE S.S. INFINITY

Alone. It wasn't an abnormal feeling for the automaton, but he had suddenly found himself in such a state. Alone. Reported for duty, awaited orders, and then... nothing.

It was honestly a pleasure for the automaton. He usually managed to slip from notice if he stood still long enough, and it seems that he had once again managed to find himself slipping into such an illusive state that he had simply been standing where he was for the past few minutes without a single eye upon him.

For anyone else, they might have been sad at not having gotten the attention they believed they deserved, but for Eiren, he was nothing but pleased.

He always imagined that he was getting better at his stealth skills. He can recall times where he moved by a step every hour or so and managed to get from one place to the other with nary a glance in his direction. As if he was just an object in place that was for some reason moving ever so slightly. One of those scenarios where you could swear that your cup had moved ever so slightly, but you could not be absolutely sure until it was suddenly gone.

Well, cups don't move like that, but an automaton had the patience and capability of movement that a cup might not have. He didn't bother taking so long to move from one place to the other this time around though. No point. People just seemed to naturally be moving to their own little spaces which means that no one might have seen him slip off the ship like a ghost into the... late morning? Midday? It was difficult to tell, but it did not stop Eiren.

This island was new to him and he was determined to explore. Perhaps away from others. Fleshlings tended to be overdramatic with every little dent that he might get on his exterior.

"Oh, Eiren. You're not up to shape! What's that dent on on your face?"

Eiren mocked a bit to himself as he began walking.

"Eiren! Your arm was torn off! Why are you just walking about like that didn't happen!?"

Perhaps because automatons could not feel pain. What was losing an arm for a machine compared to a being of flesh? It's like missing your hairpiece. Something that you could easily change out if you had it on hand. Well, it was not like Eiren had a spare arm lying around on the ship, but he could go without for a while before he became concerned with its absence.

Anyways, enough of the droning on about his existence and the complicated thought processes of his crew. He was free. Always free, for it was that which was most important to him. If the ship was bound to the ground of the island for a while, then it was the island that he would explore. After all, that was all there was to adventure upon at the moment.

So long as there were different visuals to catalog and store in his memory then he was content, and he has sure never seen this island before. From the sound of it, there are dangerous creatures out here. Something very big as well, from the talk shared amongst the crew.

Well, if he did find anything like that out here, he could just sit in place and not move at all. Usually mindless creatures would just think him a skeleton or something. Nothing with meat to be eaten that is. Thankfully, at the moment, he did not have to worry about such things.

Just a walk. A simple, lovely walk.

He kept his hammer on him, but that was just normal. Necessary even. He wondered if he would encounter anything out here.

Little old me in a big world

azure hitch

Before the taller guy would get lost in his own thoughts any further, he was pulled back to reality, patting the side of the ship as he looked down towards Hush, forgetting she was with him. Hush was always quiet and sneaky, something that Azure could never be, at least anymore due to their size. He quickly wiped away the tear on his face and smiled at the small girl. Getting to know Hush was hard when she first joined. She always looked lost, and Azure wanted to, well, help her be less lost having, and maybe still is lost himself. Once Azure commented on his tree tattoo, it was the jumping point for the two to bond in some way. Bond in one of the strangest ways too, in Azure's mind at least. Religion. Azure never really had faith, never really believed in anything religious, to begin with, he wasn't raised that way. However, knowing of and hearing of the World Tree did pique their interest. While it wasn't the inspiration for his tattoo, he couldn't deny some of its influence on the choice either. So having someone who was connected to the faith more closely was, nice. Hush would attempt to teach Azure prayers and about the religion and Azure was always happy to sit and hear Hush talk, whether or not he remembered what he was just taught, was questionable.

"Thank you. I..I know. I was just following orders," he said to her first comment, staring at the infinity and looking at the board he just removed. "As far as help, I'm currently removing the boards that need to be replaced, hoping to salvage some of it to repair other smaller sections of the ship that needs to be fixed up, like the railing I broke, and some other minor things I've been keeping an eye on. Gotta replace a few handles on the helm, beginning to wear down again. I'll wait until everyone is off the ship as well before we check the underside...if the group from the forest comes back yet." he said, going back to trying to focus on his work, beginning to pull out the 2nd board he ruined stopping the ship in the first place, another question coming to mind and thankfully, Hush was just the person to answer it.

"Say...is there...Is there a prayer for protection or guidance for like, the captain, that we could do? I...I don't think he could have...died easily but...I just wanted to make sure he is extra safe...if the world tree could help with that," he said, his voice soft and feminine, hurting his spirit that it could still sound so, woman-like but, sometimes it can't be helped.

The reason Azure was interested in religion and faith was the idea of community and knowing something might be out there to look out for those you can't reach, or those you want to make sure can be safe or have luck on their side even just a little. After the loss of his parents. Azure always felt, well loss. He didn't want to burden the crew at some point but didn't have anywhere to turn to, except inward, which is probably why Azure had his rebellious faze, where the only person who know what Azure did would be Aries. Azure wasn't as innocent as he let on but, likes to pretend he is for the sake of others. It was sometimes better for the stronger person to be sweet and dumb at times but, Azure knew more than he let on, hidden by a sweet smile. Yet that was in the past.

That's right, the past. It's all in the past, I have to keep going forward they would think to themself. With one arm, he just finished pulling off the other board, tossing it into the small pile of scraps, and head back to the deck, knowing Hush would be following in their usual quiet manner no matter where he went, and Azure, hammer in hand, would begin to pull out the boards that Jin had scratched up.

ARIES DAINA | ABRAHAM ROZANT
Collaboration post w/ AI10100 AI10100

Aries flinched at the question as she heard this deep yet familiar voice just beside her. It was Doctor Abe. One of the members she actually respected and admired for his expertise in medicine. They’ve exchanged a few conversations before, discussing about certain books both of them found engrossing. Still, the lady felt embarrassed as she was caught off guard in this state.

Seeing as the man sat beside her, perhaps it was his kind aura that didn’t give her any difficulty in answering back. “Oh.. Doctor Abe.. I must’ve forgotten to close the door.” She answered in this husky, almost breaking voice. “A lot did happen. It’s just..” The lady wanted to continue but words can’t seem to form in her mouth. A therapist they say. But not like this! She was not used to this heart to heart thing. Not to mention, in the bathroom? Is this really the right place to.. talk about this stuff? The librarian thought, questioning her current case.

She decided to let out a series of deep breaths, but it wasn’t helping. Aries then stood up, thinking of the best way she could discuss her problems without hardship. And there, a lonesome unfinished bottle of wine sits on top of the tub’s rim. Oh what perfect timing. The Gods must have left this just for her. Or maybe not. Surely Dominique did another one of those bubble baths and “treat yourself" nights. Still, Aries couldn’t care less as to why there is a mysterious bottle of alcohol inside the restroom. Not even a second thought, the fair lady pinched her nose and began chugging down the whole thing. With noticeable force, Aries placed down the bottle and turned to the doctor.

Just then, her kept emotions started bursting out. “WHYYYYY… Why do I have to go through this? Why do people always have to leave me alone?” The fair lady cries out, holding Abe by his collar and banging him against the wall. The sound of her wailing echoes through the bathroom. Might there be someone near, for sure they would have heard it too.

Abraham wasn't really expecting anything but it certainly wasn't Aries suddenly grabbing a bottle and chugging the entire content. "Uh? Aries? I don't— oh…" He didn't want to grab the bottle and throw it away and stop her from doing what she wanted but he also didn't think downing an entire bottle of alcohol was good for one's health. She practically slammed the bottle down and the next thing he knew, she had her hands on his collar and was shaking him so vigorously that he was hitting the wall.

What the fuck.

He placed both hands on her shoulders, pushing her a bit so he had space to move and stop hitting the damn wall as she shook him. "Okay, okay, pause, please don't slam me repeatedly onto a wall." Abraham said even as she continued to shake him. "And you're not alone. I know that your uncle has… er," he paused, wondering if there was a good way to phrase 'disappeared, most likely died' without sounding rude but he just trailed off, knowing that Aries would catch on anyway.

"Anyway, you still have the entire crew with you here. Captain always said we're family. So no matter what, we're still here with you."

“You.. YOU DON’T THINK HE DIED.. DO YOU?” Aries asked, still not losing the grip on his collar. Her wails continued on as the thought of that reality may not seem so far off. If anything, it would only make sense that the captain would not survive that crash. But she refused to accept it. “Yeah right. A family. Azure couldn’t even look at me in the eye… WHILE MY ADORABLE HUSH SEEMS TO BE AVOIDING ME! WHAT A WAAAAYY TO TREAT A FAMILY.” She voiced in an irritated manner.

The ship’s sole librarian was clearly offended. Being on the receiving end of that treatment is something one would never want to experience. They weren’t even trying to hide it! Well.. if they were, at least give it some effort. She was no child, she’s twenty-one for God’s sake! A therapist has their limit too. Perhaps this was what she really needed. Something to vent on her frustrations with. Unfortunately for Abraham, it had to be him.

“I shouldn’t have fed him the steak! Now I’m the one hungry!”
Aries, still crying with visible snot coming out of her nose, she took Abraham’s sleeve and blew at it.

"Well, most likely, yeah…" He replied in a much calmer and quieter tone than Aries's yelling. He wondered if someone else was hearing them. He hadn't expected the usually mild-mannered librarian to be so loud under distress. "But I think they're thinking of looking for him anyway. Considering the Captain's special abilities, I wouldn't exactly rule out that he survived." Though, if that was the case, they left their captain for the fishes. Time would be of the essence to get to him. Who knows how injured he might be despite being alive?

It wasn't like he didn't notice earlier. So the hurt that briefly flashed on her face was emotional distress. He shouldn't have come down here. "Have you considered it's because they feel guilty over what happened? We did what we had to do. We don't know if there were more ships waiting for us to ambush us, sure, but Azure was still the one to pull the trigger. I'd have trouble talking with you too if I was in his position. Just give them time, I'm sure they'll come back around."

Or maybe not. Maybe he would harbor the same amount of guilt but continue anyway. He had spoken to enough people about what happened to their loved ones to really despair over guilt.

"No, use a tissue!?" Abraham practically yelped as she grabbed his sleeve and blew her nose on it. He grimaced at the now wet sleeve. "You're gonna do the laundry for this shirt." He muttered. "We can grab some food in the kitchen later. I'm hungry as shit too." He admitted, now in more comfortable territory. "You're not injured, are you?" He finally asked.

The doctor’s words were straightforward. Well if he wanted his point to come across this drunk lady, it was pretty much needed. Or else, it would just be minutes to hours of debate. The fair woman, seeming to have calmed down, slowly loosened her grip towards the man’s clothing. “Yes.. you’re right. Just like uncle would always say, never give up!” She said with slight determination in her tone. As Abe’s explanation went ahead, she could only sit there and listen, contemplating on her past actions. It could be that it was actually her who was misunderstanding the situation. Having known Hush and Azure for quite some time, it is to be expected that they are facing this with difficulty too.

Seeing the slight disgust forming in Abraham’s face as his once dry sleeve now had discharge of mucus all over, Aries couldn’t help but chuckle at the scene. “Oh- Sorry..” She didn’t expect to be forgiven, but she said it anyway. Somehow, the heaviness in her heart seems to have faded away. Perhaps the alcohol helped.. Or maybe just having the doctor listen to her rants, oddly enough, it comforted her. Though it really was odd. Aside from the helmsman and the ship’s trusted scout, Aries did not mind his presence at all. If anything, he was rather.. calming.

Abraham leaning closer as he asked his question, the librarian couldn’t help but get lost in his gray eyes. She couldn’t even make up the words. It all seemed vague. There was this sudden pause. The lady just sat there, staring at the man’s features. It took her a few moments before realizing that their faces were too close to each other. Not that it wasn’t at first, but she was definitely sobering up.

“W-w..What? Injured? Wh-wh-who’s injured? Are you injured?” With obvious stuttering, she didn’t notice a flush of red had formed in her cheeks.

Never give up. Those words echoed in his mind since so many years ago, one of the few threads keeping him going. "Yeah, exactly." He moved his hand from her shoulder to her cheek and pinched it with a snicker. "But that doesn't mean you won't talk about it. Follow your own damn advice sometimes, yeah?" He let go of her cheek, a smile remaining on his face. "It'll be better for everyone for the air to be clear instead of having a tense atmosphere because of a misunderstanding." He certainly wasn't going to be looking forward to days of people walking on eggshells around each other. That sounded like hell.

"It's fine," he muttered, finally letting her go completely as he took a handkerchief from his pocket and pressed it to her hand. "Use that next time." He leaned over to grab a few wads of tissue from the bathroom and began wiping down his sleeve to at least free it from loose mucus.

Aries took a while to respond before stuttering out a flustered response, red forming on her cheeks. Abraham tilted his head to the side. "You're not a very good liar, huh?" He said, pulling away from the librarian and giving her a bit of space. "Come on, show it so we can get it taken care of. It'll take a minute or two max since I doubt you're harboring a broken bone." The doctor paused, looking away for a moment before leveling his eyes back at her. "You're… not hiding a broken bone, are you?"

Unable to look up straight, she felt a slight sting when the man pinched her soft cheek, rubbing it afterwards. Still, Aries tries her best to calm her heart which was beating ever so loudly. Abe giving some space helped her a lot as she was worried that he might hear it. Taking the handkerchief, she gently pressed it against her face, trying to dry off parts of it which were covered in tears. Yet again, another question follows. “Not a good liar? What do you mean?” A bit confused, her brows furrowed. “Ohhh…”

There she realized that the question earlier was pertaining to her health. Though something didn’t sit right, as she feels like she’s the only one getting flustered by herself. Maybe it’s because she hasn’t been that close to anyone before. Nonetheless, she decided to perk herself up and shrugged off her thoughts.

“Well, it’s not that severe. I also noticed it just a while ago, even before you came.” The librarian answered, seeming to have averted back to her calm and collected self.

Since Infinity’s best healer is here, might as well have him treat it. The lady was set on showing him the bruise, but then.. she stopped. “W-WAIT! I’m not sure if this is okay.” She says, crossing her arms. Her heart was certainly not prepared for this. I mean.. revealing that much skin to another male? Just the thought of it made her want to just disappear into ashes. Ohhh.. of all the places I could’ve gotten a bruise, why did it have to be there?! The librarian thought as she found herself caught in another dire situation.

Abraham patiently waited for her to show him her injury. Now that he really thought about it, this would be the first time he was treating her, wasn’t it? He had been on the ship for barely a year but Aries wasn’t the type of person to get into a physical altercation herself. Her powers allowed her to be in an acceptable distance from the battle while still contributing. That also meant that she was on extremely low on the list of the people he typically looked out for.

He cocked his head to the side, confused, as Aries began to refuse. “Why not?” He asked, eyes trailing downward. Ah. It must be that, isn’t it? “I guess you aren’t really used to being treated. Don’t worry, I won’t do anything untoward with you! That much I can promise. And it’ll be really quick but if you really don’t want to, I can give you a few things that could help the pain and the healing along but it won’t be as quick.”

The librarian once again flustered, was caught speechless and surprised as to how calm the doctor has been handling things. While she’s over here, sweats trailing off her body and.. well, you could almost compare her face to that of a person who has been sunburnt. Aries’s mind has been all over the place that she forgot that Abraham is indeed a doctor. Of course he has treated wounds all over, even in the strangest places. In short, he has probably seen it all!

The lady then gave up and took her deepest breath yet. She could only think of one thing that could end this situation in the fastest and most comfortable way for both parties. Aries scooped closely to Abraham, lifting one of her hands and covering the male’s eyes. While for her other hand, she took his arm and led it to where her injury was. Feeling the warm touch as his hand made its way to the bruise, the only thing her body could do was to tremble. Not in fear but of embarrassment. “There! Make it quick!”

"Hm?" Aries had closed the distance between the two of them once again before his sight was effectively robbed from him. Before he could even properly react to that, his hand was also taken and pressed against something warm. "Well, it's one way to do it."

From what he could feel, there was no grievous scarring. It was most likely something that was like bruising then? She probably bumped into something hard while the ship was shaking. Having no sight on the injury didn't help with knowing how much healing energy he should pour out but he started anyway. Warmth began to transfer from his hand towards the site of the bruising— a faint blue light overlapping the injury. He couldn't see it but Aries certainly could as the dark coloration of the bruise faded away to her regular skin color and the sharp pain when touched dissipated.

"I think that should be good? I'm not feeling anything wrong anymore." He pulled his hand away, not wanting for it to be more uncomfortable for Aries. He then placed it on her hand slapped against his eyes and gave it a light tug. "Alright, come on, off." He knew he shouldn't be making light of the situation but he couldn't help the smile on his face as he said that.

Aries couldn’t help but be in awe of the doctor’s healing powers. It was a sight that she never got used to, despite having Abraham aboard for almost a year now. She could feel the pain slowly disappearing as the coloration of the bruise reverted back to its old form. Soon as she felt the tugging, she put her hand away and quickly fixed her upper garment which was still showing her stomach.

She felt her heart skip a few beats as she saw Abraham’s gentle smile. Still, she did her utmost best to stay composed, not wanting to make it anymore awkward as it is. “Thank you.. Sir Abe.. for everything.” The lady replied as she got back on her own two feet. “Also uhh.. Your handkerchief, I’ll wash it for you.. And umm your clothes? A-anyway I’ll make it up to you!”

The lady gave him a quick bow and hurriedly took her leave as her heart couldn’t handle being alone anymore in the man’s presence. She felt as if her chest would burst if she even thought of staying longer. She darted towards the library, finally making her escape and closed its doors.
