Sung Hyun Ok

Basics & Appearance
Age: 17

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Bisexual (closeted)

Group: White Tigers, ranked second

Hair color: Naturally black, dyed slightly brown

Eye color: Black

Weight: 154 pounds/69.8kg

Height: 5' 6''

Clothing style: Hyun Ok usually wears airy, light clothing in pale colors and shades. She prefers clothing that doesn't restrict her movement and allows her to run around comfortably. Because of this, she rarely wears high-heels and hates skin-tight clothing because it doesn't let her move as freely. Many of her clothes are long and cover most of her skin as she has been raised in a somewhat traditional household and believes that women should hold themselves in a modest way, though her thoughts on this are slowly changing as she is exposed to more of the world.
Personality

tumblr_inline_nsmbhxqq7N1sc3ygs_500.gif
tumblr_inline_nsmbinTjZ91sc3ygs_500.gif

A sweet girl that means no true harm, Hyun Ok often finds herself seen as a naive, innocent little flower. What they don't know is that meaning well doesn't always translate to doing something good all the time. Hyun Ok maintains a strict set of morals: Never lie to anyone you care about; always protect those you hold dear, even from themselves; and try to judge people fairly, even if this means letting go. As a result, some of Hyun Ok's words turn out crueler than they intend, as she is intent on telling her friends and her family exactly what she thinks. While some appreciate this, her words can be sharp especially when it comes to appearances as she is not willing to hold anything back. Hyun Ok also tends to be brutal in giving her opinions about other matters, from relationships to what she thinks of the latest celebrity gossip. She is also a guardian to many of her friends and her younger siblings, quick to jump in and defend and protect them physically or verbally, though she may seem frail at first. Hyun Ok often gives even adults a piece of her mind, especially if she thinks a punishment is unfair for her or her friends. She fights for what she stands for and what she stands for is honesty.

While Hyun Ok is loyal to those she holds dear, she is not above severing ties if the situation calls for it. She understands that toxic relationships are dangerous to all those involved and will often leave one if she believes that it is damaging her. She often encourages friends who are in dead-beat relationships to leave and find someone worthwhile, often shattering rose-colored glasses in the process. Hyun Ok values self love and appreciation more than definite loyalty and believes that caring for yourself and putting your own needs in front of others, especially if you have done so repeatedly, is a not selfish at all. In a place and a culture that tells her she cannot be confident and demand the best, Hyun Ok has grown up to believe that if people do not think she deserves what she has earned, then they do not deserve her. Confident, brutally honest, and protective, Hyun Ok may seem pure and innocent to some but is a true storm underneath, determined to see her own goals, hopes, and aspirations through til the end.

Biography

tumblr_inline_nsmbhjQF661sc3ygs_500.gif
tumblr_inline_nsmbhkAD8Z1sc3ygs_500.gif

Hyun Ok's parents had been raised very traditionally and believed that they ought to have at least once child before they became thirty years old even if they did not believe they were prepared to have one. Hyun Ok was born on July 17th, 1998 in Seoul South Korea as a result to two recent graduates of college, both struggling to find occupations in their respective fields. Hyun Ok's mother especially struggled, as her father tried to pressure her into staying at home and raising Hyun Ok but the financial strain was too much for one source of income. As a result, her mother eventually landed a job in a towering building writing reports and serving as a secretary. For a while, her childhood was happy. Her grandparents spoiled her to bits with pretty dresses and bright toys designed to catch the attention of a young child and her parents treated her like the center of the world. However, her father wanted to have a son in order to carry on the family name and legacy, though Hyun Ok's mother opposed this. She was watching women rise up in the world, and those that she worked next to were getting promoted, climbing higher and higher up the ladder. Mounting pressure from her family eventually won and the two had a second child when Hyun Ok was five, though this was also a girl. The spotlight shifted from Hyun Ok to her sister, Da Hui. At first, she did not mind and the two grew close, bound by their insatiable curiosity.

It wasn't until Hyun Ok was seven that her parents had another child and the cracks in their relationship were beginning to show. A slow cultural revolution was blooming and many women were becoming more and more focused on their careers and finding "modern men", ones that were accepting of their wants and needs to succeed in the workplace. Hyun Ok's mother never quite forgave or forgot her family's push for her to abandon her own aspirations to have another child and raise them, leading to bitterness towards those that she watched pass her in the workplace. This was reflected in the house, as she spent less and less time tending to traditional duties, inciting anger within her husband. The two never argued in front of their children and after Hyun Ok's brother Hui Jun was born, her father became more complacent with their mother's desire to focus more on her occupation than the family. As a result, Hyun Ok took the role of caretaker in the household, often looking after her two younger siblings and entertaining them when she got off of school and walking them to their own schools in the morning. While her mother realized that she needed to do this in order to help her parents keep up with three children, well over the average amount in a household, she did not want her daughter to believe that her life would be bound by children and the household chores that once reigned over women in Korea.

Hyun Ok's mother pushed her to study and do well in school, to reach for the stars. Her father, while never directly interfering, did not like this and preferred Da Hui, who was quiet and did as she was told. Their mother, at one point, attempted to show Da Hui that she had no need to listen to everything her father said, but she never took the lessons to heart. As a result, their mother pinned all her own dashed hopes and dreams on Hyun Ok, who became the star child in her mother's eyes, intelligent and strong. Her father and grandparents continued to want her to become similar to her sister while spoiling her brother and allowing him free reign, infuriating both Hyun Ok and her mother. She saw the different way she was being treated compared to Hui Jun and was angered that he could run amok and break things and was not expected to learn how to cook or clean. Her mother continued to fuel her desire to be a unique person outside of the reign of typical expectations and never chastised her sometimes rude and blunt behavior. In school, Hyun Ok won over many other female students with her kind smiles and polite manners that had been instilled in her by her father and grandparents but also shocked them with her sharp tongue, forged by her mother. Those who knew her underneath saw her as a conflicted girl, one who wanted to do good and please her mother but also wanted to break free of the chains that had been put on her for so long.

She was first told of Sevit Academy by her father, who wanted her brother to go there and succeed, carrying the family name. Her mother, who had begun to resent her father's constant attempts to push only their son and not their daughters, invested money to send Hyun Ok instead. The two clashed over this revelation and eventually, her mother won, determined to see her own former dreams come to light. Hyun Ok enter the academy with flying colors, determined to find her way in the world like her mother wished. She joined the White Tigers her freshman year, a blossoming girl that wanted nothing but the best for herself after being told she couldn't have it. Determined to reach the stars her mother told her were hers, Hyun Ok is willing and ready to leap and land among them in her last year at the Academy.

Family

Sung Jin Un, father, age 40 -- A man set in his ways, he and Hyun Ok clash often. However, he loves his daughter and the fact that she has brought so much light into his life. He wishes to see her settle down with a good husband and to have children so that she may live happily.

Sung Mi Cha, mother, age 39 -- Hyun Ok is the closest to her mother who has encouraged her to strive to be the best and has always been the guide to lead her. She wants Hyun Ok to succeed for a few selfish reasons, such as seeing what her life could have been and to prove to her husband and parents that women can do well, but she mostly just wants to see her daughter fly among the stars.

Sung Da Hui, sister, age 12 -- Da Hui and Hyun Ok are very different people. Da Hui is content to never step outside of the box and remain quiet and complacent. The two don't argue, partially because Da Hui hates arguing with any of her family but Hyun Ok sees her sister as somewhat weak and far too complacent for her own good.

Sung Hui Jun, brother, age 10 -- These days, Hyun Ok does not interact much with her youngest sibling. She finds him abrasive and spoiled at times though she does care for him and his well being. She believes that he can be a good "modern" man if only her father would stop pandering to his every desire and whim.

Hui hummed a tune she had picked up somewhere, tapping her fingers on the bar as she twisted the straw in her coke with the other hand. The bar was rather empty for a Friday night, the perfect place in Hui's opinion. There were few people jostling around, pushing to get to the bartender, scrabbling to get drinks or a number. She was there with a few of her co-workers, smiling and laughing and talking. Glancing up at the clock, she realized that it was part eleven-thirty. Eyes widening, she bade a quick farewell to them, taking her purse and slinging it over her shoulder.

"Come on," one of them told her, his face in a frown. "We always stay here til at least midnight on Friday."

There was a round of murmured agreements that Hui shook her head to. "I have to go back and check up on my daughter."

"Isn't your husband home?" another person interjected, their frown deeper. "Can't he look after her?"

"Well, yes," Hui said, adjusting the strap of her purse, a nervous habit whenever people started questioning her about her personal life. "But she likes me more and it's easier when there's two of us."

Her co-workers exchanged glances but said nothing, frowns forming and she knew that if she didn't leave quickly, more questions would come.

Why is it easier?

Why do you have to go home?

Isn't he also a responsible adult?

They would always ask why, why she had to go home at this time, why she couldn't go to parties, why he always seemed to glare from the corner, frown etched into his face and eyes cold.

"He's not abusive, is he?" someone had asked.

She had hesitated in saying he wasn't.

Hui set the thoughts to the back of her mind, smiling and waving as she got into her car and drove off, peering out into the dark streets. She would usually go home at around nine, but it had been a stressful day and they had just helped close a case. She deserved a moment or two in celebration.

She parked the car in front of the quaint two-story house, tiny and squished between two houses, equally as small and compact. She sighed as she exited, locking the door and entering the house as quiet as possible. She frowned at the light still on in the foyer and the sounds coming from the bedrooms upstairs.

Hui placed her keys in the designated bowl and hung up her purse before slowly making her way up the steps, her fingers grazing over the top of the handrail. It seemed that the noise was coming from the bedroom she shared with Alexander and her pace quickened slightly, listening to the sound of fabric and wood.

Before she entered her room, however, she poked her head into her daughter's room, watching her tiny chest rise and fall and her clenched palms unfurl slightly, dreaming of something sweeter than this world. Hui smiled slightly; it had been a horrid pregnancy and labor, alone and frightened, but Min made it all worth it.

Turning her sights back on the person that had landed her with the horrid pregnancy and labor and who she had to beg to stay, Hui made her way cautiously to the bedroom and stared.

Her clothing was strewn across the floor and the wardrobe was flung open, her dresses and shirts and skirts ripped from their hangers. The desk that she worked at seemed to have lost its contents in a tornado of clothing, the pencils and papers replaced by a few of her belts and socks.

"What are you doing?" she hissed at Alexander, making out the shape of his body in the dark, reaching over to flick on the light and shut the door behind her cautiously, unwilling to wake up Min.

[Appearance]

Dyed Hair, Pale Skin. Doe Eyes, Piercings. A plump pout, A devilish smile. Yes, these contrasting features belong to Byeol-Ho, one of the most peculiar looking girls in the school. Some say she is a gorgeous and cute girl and others don't even dare to look at her. Want to know more about her features? Let's look at her.

Byeol Ho has a fair skin tone, but not too pale of course. With all the sunshine she gets, her skin is subtly tan, but not too tan. She wouldn't at all mind getting darker, but her mother disapproves of it. Despite having a desired a skin tone of most Asians, she is not too careful of herself and is rather careless which leads to cuts and bruises, but thankfully, her sister takes care of her cuts so they won't lead to mean looking scars. She does have the subtle mole here and there, but has a special mark on her shoulder; a light pink birthmark. The birthmark is almost like a tattoo to Byeol-Ho, despite it not being a tattoo. Why is it almost like a tattoo? Because it is star-shaped birthmark that is passed down throughout all the girls in the Choi Household. So yes, that's her complexion when you fist see her, whenever, wherever and however you meet Byeol Ho.

On to the facial features, shall we?

Byeol Ho'e face is quite exotic beside most Asians, especially because of her eyes that quite western-like, with a protruding double eyelid and a wide and cat like eye. Her eyebrows follow trend as they are natural and are straight with little to no plucking or waxing done on them. Her nose has a tall nose bridge, but with a sort of wide and child like nose being set on her face. She also has some the best lips. Byeol Ho's lips are plump pout, often seen parted a rosy peach or pink, or with slight lip color on them. She also has many unique add ons to her face which lead many to believe she is careless and is seen as a rambunctious and moronic youth for this. What are the "add-ons?" Well, for starters, Byeol-Ho's hair is naturally a dark umber brown, but has been dyed into a lighter, more metallic purple and silver-white. She also has piercing on her lip and nose, making her seem more imitating than most girls. While she has a fake septum piercing, she has a real nose ring and lip ring and is even planning to get more. She also has piercings on her ears like many girls out, there, sporting earrings and a real earcuff. The piercings are gold which pair really well with her multicolor hair. Do you think she is a unconventional beauty? Or a menacing and imitating girl? Well, choice is up to you, not me.

Byeol Ho is also a bit taller than most Asian women and standing at 174 cm, she is quite happy to be tall in a a small world. However, she body is mature than most girls, a lot more mature to be specific. She is busty and is known to have a larger chest that is a over average than the normal girl. However, She is not at all embarrassed of her mature and can take advantage of her figure. Even though she has a full figure, she dances a lot with her peers which leads to a healthy lifestyle. On her weight, she is rather blunt about it and says directly to anyone. Weighing 54 kgs, it is quite normal for a teenage girl her age.

Exiting her silhouette and to her sense of style.

Byeol Ho's sense of style is eclectic and mixed, but loves casual styles and comfortable clothes. She doesn't wear tight and show skin often and wears often her "own thing." It really just makes up Byeol Ho, defining the her instead of them.

[Personality]

Byeol Ho is a intriguing girl, no doubt. With dyed purple and silver-grey hair and brown eyes paired with piercings, she can easily become a girl you will want to meet. Here's the thing though, If you try to say hello to her, Byeol Ho will throw shade at you and walk away or flick you off and then walk off, whichever one she chooses. Will you be curious about her, or will she leave a bad impression? Oh well, too late to answer that. She is just known as a bad influence.

Ah yes, The bad girl of the school, or is she? Anyways, Byeol Ho is blunt and quite frankly rude to others. She is never seen interacting with others whom she doesn't know. She only talks to her closest friends and her dance crew, the only time she talks to people where she doesn't knock them down with crude remarks and blunt and piercing words. She is cursed with a resting bitch face with a raspy and deep voice, making her seem even more rude than she already is. Sometimes, her state will leave you in awe and will leave you questioning beast or beauty.

Despite her crude and frankness, she doesn't bully or harass anyone. Although, She is known to be rotten and venemous for her rude and strict words, she can be blunt and rather frank than malevolent. On top of her bad attitude, she has a horrible wrath.

Byeol Ho can get to be explosive when angry and can become violent and be able to injure someone with fighting skills, so imagine what she will do to a silver spoon. Fortunately, She knows how to vent her anger to words to make a person cry without getting too physical with people.

Despite all of her blunt and venemous words and actions, Byeol Ho is a loud and blood girl with a heart of gold. She is generous and takes pity on a lot of people, but subtly of course. She is benevolent and quite kind, with a bit of profanity and sarcasm in the middle. She is called crazy and easy going, her friends even calling her Super for her large outputs of energy that is put into dancing and crude jokes.

Byeol Ho is also quite comforting and is generous and is probably one of the best human beings you will meet under all her layers of armor. She can turn from The Evil Queen to Snow White with a bit of patience and heart. Well, maybe not Snow White, maybe the Mad Hatter.

As said before, Byeol Ho has a heart of gold which can get broken easily and can lead to weeks of brooding greyness about her or scorn written in her eyes. She will try to get revenge and will get very depressed and deprived with the world. However, She has a group of friends and a slight armor built around her and drowns it out with anything she can. She just gets on with the world but, with the moment forever posted in her head forever. She is also quite forgiving and is know to forgive but never forget about anything you do.

Byeol Ho is a pretty person despite her crude and disrespectful demeanor, and probably one of the people you'll be interested in first in the year.

On the summer day of July 29th, Byeol Ho was born to circumstances that might be unfortunate to some, and even shameful to some people. Want to know? Of course you do.

You see, Byeol Ho was born to an 18 year old mother and her father seven years her mother's senior. Her mother, Chaeyeon was not at all shamed by it and stood proud with Byeol-Ho's father, Yong Ju. Byeol Ho wasn't an accident either, she was a planned birth; well almost anyways. She was born two months early and aas thought to be a weak baby with problems all over her tiny body. Fortunately, She kept fighting and made it alive to be a healthy and strong baby girl which earned her name Byeol-Ho, her name meaning "Tiger Star or Fierce Star." Some people looked down on Byeol-Ho's parents for being so young and having such an age gap, but it was their choice and didn't care what others said.

Unfortunately for Byeol Ho, both of their families came from middle class and poor families, making it hard to for them to raise Byeol Ho all on their own.

As Byeol Ho was kept in her parents arms, many people looked own on them for having a child so early and suddenly, sometimes calling Chaeyoung and Yong Ju insulting slurs just because of their youth. Some people supported them, always having their back when they were cut short. However, it was many people who insulted them and just not some. Now on to Byeol Ho's side of the story.

Byeol Ho was a pretty normal child, having average tendencies and patterns for a child; she didn't even seem premature. Many people thought of her as a quiet and mischievous child, always rambunctious and happy, however another person came when Byeol Ho became about 3 years old. That was her twin sister and brother. Despite being different genders, The twins, Ji-min and Ji-Hyun were peas in a pod and acted the same in many ways. At the time, they were living in the city, so now insert the suburbs. Byeol Ho became a bit territorial and distant than other kids, making some of them think of her as intimidating. Not to mention that she was the cousin of Byeol-Su, one of the most toughest kids on the block. Byeol Ho was always given the special treatment because they were relatives and because of her mischevous and clever mind, she was accepted to be one of the big guns at school. When news caught out, kids laughed at her and thought it was a joke because she was a girl, but it easily made her angry. Because, Byeol-su was older, he wasn't always with Byeol Ho, so he taught her to to tell kids to leave her alone. Unfortunately, it didn't work. A rival block came to the school after renovations at another school which made both schools clash. Why? Because one of them was rich and the other was middle class. Byeol Ho was at the middle class school with Byeol Su and her siblings while the other more cocky rich students were taunting them. They made fun of Byeol Ho just about everything they could think of, for her hair, her gender, her voice; just about everything. This made Byeol Ho's vision of most students and rich students combined to be mean which made a frank and rude side to her personality show up. While Byeol Su saw it as progress, her parents and siblings did not.

As Byeol Ho grew older,

The more she controlled her actions and words before toward some students but then earned a reputation for being a sort cool kid with a bad temper. This was only elementary, so let's start middle school.

Middle School made Byeol Ho a boss when it came to fighting, arguing and controlling. She was notorious for being expelled and suspended because of all the bullying that was being made towards her and her siblings. Because she was tall and developed, kids started to think of her as fat and her siblings as heirs to Byeol Ho's reign, so they bullied Ji-min and Ji-Hyun. For little things, Byeol Ho fought and made it clear that she was leader and no one could change that. However, This impact made it hard for Byeol Ho to control her feelings which is where music and dance is introduced.

Byeol Ho's parents were aware of the fighting and instantly started looking into the fights by asking her siblings to keep a eye on her. Her parents also tried to interfere with Byeol Ho's life of fighting by signing her up on hobbies she could focus the anger in. Of course, that didn't work; she disliked it and since others knew of her reputation, they would often bother her with questions which eventually led to Byeol Ho hitting them. Her parents didn't know what to do after that and eventually bought her a Music Player and Headphones to help her calm down with music. There, she figured out about EDM, Electronica, Hip Hop and Rap. Soon after, she discovered break dancing.

After discovering break dancing, hip hop and EDM, she instantly focused her every energy more on words and danced when ever she had the urge to fight anyone. She was so engrossed in these genres of music that she became a make-shift Disc Jockey when it came to introducing music to older kids and "cool" kids that were around. They became her friends unknowingly that they were a bad influence. She developed their behavior and was instantly worshipped in her district of school, that is of course until she was expelled from the school because a fight that broke out with someone. The fight was caused by by the person taunting Byeol Ho and calling her a male and also calling her out about her body. Of course, Byeol Ho wasn't the person to accept this. The fight was between them and was being encouraged by other students. The person kept harassing Byeol Ho and laughing at her for fighting even though she was a girl. Byeol Ho then exploded in anger and punched the person so hard, that her fell to the ground. The person tried to get up and walked backwards to escape, not knowing there was car coming towards them. The person was hit and suffered minor injuries and had nausea.

In other words, The person wasn't dead. The school was outraged and the family was pressing charges against the school. The school was sued 10,000$ and then kicked Byeol Ho out because of this incident and because of her violent behavior in the past.

When Byeol Ho's parents were notified about this, they were disappointed and thought that it was maybe in the environment she was in since the school was known to be separated into Middle-Class and High-Class which often led to fights in the school. So, They kept at home until they founded their restaurant. This led to new opportunities in The Choi's family's life. More money and more opportunities to for their children. But of course, they had to move somewhere else because they lived in a rather poor and a high crime rate city and had to go to a different school district for Byeol Ho. So, they moved back to the city.

Byeol Ho's parents were to move city to open up a restaurant in the city. When Byeol Ho moved into the city of Seoul with her parents, she instantly started to adore the city. With flashing lights, more people and more clubs, Byeol Ho wanted to become a music producer or DJ. But, first she needed to finish school for her parent's sake. On her parents side of the story, They wanted a good school for Byeol Ho that would have good students, good faculty and most important of all, a good environment. That's when they found Sevit Academy.

They enrolled her Byeol Ho almost instantly to Sevit Academy, hoping she would shape up to become a smart girl. Byeol Ho instead felt isolated with not that much friends and a rather ruthless grading system. But she was trapped here anyways so, What could she do about it?

Byeol Ho then discovered Real King and began to dance their with the group. However, All of them including Byeol Ho had the worst grades in the school. This is where her hate for the White Tiger's came in. Byeol hated their guts for being cocky and arrogant just because they were one of the smartest of the school. Instantly, Her urge to at least give on of them a punch began, then began to hate their mere presence on Earth. And that's the back story to now.

Bong Cha wasn't a person to be late and push her snooze button dozens of times but, during times like these, she wishes that she could just stay in bed forever and forget there were such a thing as School. Although she had only been there a month, She wanted it to be done. Bong Cha hadn't met all of the students, so she was a it clueless about how the school worked, especially because it drained out of her mind during Summer Break. Oh well. The year was new and there was a lot more sarcasm.

As Bong Cha got up and out of bed, She stretched and groaned and cursed under her breath. She was't at all too eager to start the day. Her Step-Father, Kang Dae was already at her office and her mother, Haneul was in the living room, sorting her stuff out before she left to her office. Right now, Haneul was eating breakfast ordered by her nutritionist. "You better eat too, Bon-Bon." Haneul said as she ate a few more bites of meal. "Ha-Ha. Very Funny." Bong Cha Sid platonically. "Whatever, I have to go. Bye, Bong Cha." She said as she kissed her daughter's forehead and left, leaving her with only her and the staff. "I don't wanna." Bong Cha uttered, walking back to her room to get ready for the day.

Bong Cha got out of her room, wearing her uniform with an add on with the exception of her makeup. That "add-on" was sneakers instead of loafers. Such rebel. These sneakers were brought from the U.S from her Father, In-Su, the only gift brought by from her birthday. The sneakers were black with white and had wedges, suited for her taste. Of course, It wasn't so much of a rule breaker, especially because they were really just shoes. "Ah, letting my feet breath." She said sarcastically as she walked to the dining table where She was served by one of her staff members. The breakfast was served with a platter and everything, normal for her. Everything was at its normal until Bong Cha left for school.

When Bong Cha was finished with her meal, she grabbed her stuff along with an sweater and had walked out the door, feeling the morning breeze caress her face. As soon as Bong Cha stepped on the tiles of where a path was set, Her driver was in the front of her leading her to the car. Bong Cha groaned and asked, "Can I not ride in the car, please?" He driver sighed, but allowed it, letting Bong Cha go. Bong Cha had then gone into a garage where she found a motorcycle. She had smirked at it and ran her fingers over its sleek frame as she skipped along and got ready for the bitter start of school, If you were wondering who had given this opportunity to her, it was Haneul. She bought the bike for her for her first year of high school. She had got it out and grabbed her helmet and put on her sweater, using the minutes to get to school as free time until school started.

Bong Cha finally had reached Shinhwa, She slightly pinched her arm and cursed under her breath. "Damn it.." She mumbled as she got out of the bike, grabbing her stuff and taking off the helmet. She had been here before, so it felt familiar, although it was not a positive feeling. As she walked along the halls, she had hoped for no one to talk to her or recognize her from the month she had been here.

Personality - Ryu Bi is to be seen as the quiet one in the group and keeps most of her opinions and thoughts to herself unless she's been asked to speak her mind honestly, but she's actually the opposite. She's seen as the flirt, daredevil, and/or the party animal. She's definitely not lady like, but she's not a total tomboy. With her charismatic body language and appearance, she's quite the heartthrob and could possibly ruin your life. She can't really keep up with acquaintances because they can't handle her "hotness". That's how she received the nickname "Fox", because the males that she "flirts' with or party's with, their females get jealous and call her a fox. The nickname caught on pretty fast. She doesn't really keep up with romantic relationships because she's lazy and doesn't want to put the effort in, unless she's fallen head over heels for a guy. But that was quite a while ago.

With friends, her behavior is a bit different between genders. With males, she's more carefree and go with the flow kind of person. She also likes to tease her close male friends, cause why not. With females, she acts more like a sister and a slight bit more lady like.

Biography - Ryu Bi was born into a middle-class family with a pair of loving parents in Moscow, Russia. She moved from Moscow to Korea (I suspect) at the age of eleven. Both parents both tried their hardest to make money in the house, so they both lectured her daily to make sure the same thing doesn’t happen to her when she gets older. She's been tutored by many teachers a day for each subject, allowing her to be the smartest in her class. From kindergarten to seventh grade she was always on top of her class. Oh what went wrong? How has she become into this, fox like creature?

Eighth grade my friend. She started to hang out with the wrong crowd. Her grades dropped, her clothing became shorter and more revealing, and she started to care less about her behavior. Her parents have warned her about these things since she was a child, but it obviously slipped from one ear to another. She could care less about her future, all she wanted to do was to have fun. She had a younger sister, who's eight years younger than her. Huge age gap right?

Ryu Bi has been like this for entire high school life, including her last year of middle school. After sophomore year, her parents stopped caring and started to wonder where they went wrong. They thought that they've raised her the perfect daughter, being by her side all the time, but that's where their wrong. Her parents were always away making money, or attending wine tastings and fancy parties, instead of caring for their own daughter. Their parents stopped caring about Ryu Bi's activities and started to focus, and only focus on their second daughter, Mei Li. Ryu Bi doesn't depend on her parents anymore, she earns her own money and pays for her own insurance, school fees, etc.

The Selection Excerpt

It was past noon, the sun shined above Elise and her radiant copper brown hair. Her hair was tied neatly in a fishtail braid and loose strains of her hair was too be seen. Her long, skinny fingers wrapped around her book and her head was slightly tilted towards the book. A cup of tea was placed onto the table that stood before her. Her white laced dress covered her torso, shoulders and the skirt looked like an A.

"Your Highness, her majesty has asked for your presence." A royal guard has said as he slightly bowed. Elise smiled gently and thanked the guard. She followed him into the castle and out of the garden. Her book was held closely to her side as she followed. Her white pumps echoed through out the castle, letting everyone know she was in the castle.

The guard opened the door for Elise and allowed her to enter. As she entered, he gently closed the door and Elise was standing before her sisters and her parents. All of the attention was on her now.

"What's wrong on Mother?" She curiously asked her mother as she placed her book onto the coffee table and stood there silently, along with her sisters.

"Nothing's wrong, dear. We just wanted to announce something important to all of you." Her mother replied.

"What could possibly be so important that all of us have to be here?" Diana asked in an annoyed tone.

"You know your mother and I met..." Their father replied.

"No...no..." Diana nervously chuckled at her father's words. "We are NOT hosting a Selection." She refused.

Elise turned her head to face Diana. "What's wrong with the Selection?" Elise asked Diana.

"What do you mean what's wrong? It's just playing with men, and entertaining our country. We're wasting our time on being in romantic interests and not attending our study sessions." Diana stated.

"Now...now. There's no need to rowdy about this." Their mother tried to calm this environment.

"Mother, I'm afraid I'd have to agree with Diana. I don't think a Selection is appropriate at this time." Elise said gently.

"You, all of you are eighteen. It's the perfect timing." The king responded.

Elise sighed and wrapped her arms around herself. "Fine, do what you want." Diana was the first to leave the room. The king sighed and closed his eyes for a little bit.

"It doesn't really matter if you host it or not. Just make sure that they don't bother my study sessions. I plan to be a successful woman, not a 'used to be royal whore'." Elise spat back to her parents. She hurried her way out of the room and letting her heels make its noise through out the castle. She had to stand strong on this. She needed to be intelligent to become successful when Diana takes the throne. She didn't want a Selection to be hosted, but it would be fun to play around with some boys. She slightly smirked and continued the path towards the garden.

Straight forward, harsh, and sometimes just plain out rude, Sora's quite infamous for her poisonous tongue. A nicer word for her would be honest, but that would just make her sound like a good person. Her honesty, and most probably her lack of putting sprinkles on top and found others to find her brutal. It takes a person who's either too dense or stupid to get her sarcastic, condescending comments, or a very patient or thick skinned individual to deal with her.

She can't help it, sarcasm is her middle name. Eye rolling is natural for her, and she would pop in her ear buds 24/7 if she could. She had already tried doing so. After having three of her ear buds confiscated she figured it was a loss cause to continue to try. That's another thing about her, she tends to give up easily when she finds it to be a waste of time or loses interest.

Given this aspect of her personality tends to overshadow the rest. After all most would only look at the most dynamic pieces of her. Rather than having no drive at all with her aloof nature on the outside, there are things she's interested in, though expressing them is a little bit too much for her. She doesn't find confidence in pursuing her own goals and aspirations, rather working hard seems to be embarrassing for her.

She was born right here in Korea. More accurately, Busan. Though this little country in Asia is not where her most littlest memories are locked up. Right after she was born her family had immigrated to the States where the first page to her story was made. When she first went to school she was a quiet girl. Not because she was shy, it was more of a communication problem.

The kids at school only spoke English, and being from a Korean household she had been mostly taught Korean. It was only a couple years later when she was now completely fluent has she made friends. Sadly, after an incident in her second year of middle school her parents decided to move back to Korea...wip
FROM TIME TO TIME • I LOSE MY MIND • BUT DON'T WORRY

here i am, just a lot of broken pieces

When she came back to, she had realized that the townsfolk had been following her. At first she thought she was over thinking it, but as she kept on walking, making a left, then a right, then a left again, she could tell they were still on her tail. Reaffirming her worries, she turned back seeing, the same faces closing in on her. When she stopped, they stopped. It was like that until for one time she paused again, they did not, and soon, closed in on her. "W-Wait, just what the hell is going on?!" Finally voicing out her worries, she tried to find a way of escape, but couldn't. In the end all she was capable of doing was to grip the handle of her sword on her back. She did not like where this was going.

She then heard a voice, a voice in which she recognized immediately. It was the voice in that room. Her body moving on it's own, it had tried to grip her mask, as if she knew what was going to happen next. Alas, she was too slow. Before she knew it her mask had been taken away, and what was faced with was herself. Her nightmare.

---

Jumping up from her bed, she was sweating profusely, trying to catch her breath. She was in her own room again. Which had been painted a light gray, and covered with tons of books, clothes, and snacks on the floor, or what used to be the floor. You were lucky if you could find a clean spot on it.Her laptop was in front of her, she concluded that she fell asleep while chatting online again. *
...So it was just a dream* She thought relieved. But at the same time she felt grief, she had finally thought she had found the place of her longing, a place in which she had belonged, where she was strong, and needed.

But apparently that won't be happening anytime soon, deciding to wash up for the day, she tip toed out of her room and into the bathroom. The house was quiet. After all they had both left on a business trip, they probably wouldn't return until another week. Turning on the sink, she repeatedly splashed water on her face to make her fully awake. It was only when she finished and looked in the mirror she noticed the mask still on her face. She didn't under a sound, she was too scared for that, and lost the ability to speak. She...just stood there and looked at her other self in the mirror, rarely blinking. Her heart thumped as she began to recall last night, with the same repeating words ringing inside her head, and that wouldn't get out. With the fast increasing beat of her heart, her breath became ragged, as she couldn't calm herself down. Using the sink as support, she tried, to relax herself, but to no avail, she was nowhere near composed. She needed to do something, anything, to get all of this out.

Blanking out, she only came too as she felt pain stabbing in her right hand. She was still in the same position as before, leaning on the sink, except it was covered with countless shards. Her hands were in the shape of fists, with her right hand, covered with blood. Though her hand stung with pain, the pain within her mind had resided, as both her breath, and heart beat went back to normal. The mirror in front of her was smashed, to the point where anything reflected on it had become distorted.

Outside of school, Chan-Yeol almost always wears a button up shirt, long sleeve or short, often with a T-shirt underneath and his trademark denim jacket as the outermost layer. He sports casual long pants or knee length shorts, opting for the comfortable option of a t-shirt and loose fitting pants when he's at home.

In Depth
Personality -Sharp tongued Chan-Yeol has often rubbed people the wrong way with his harsh and blunt words and habit of pushing tasks he doesn't want to do and has no interest in to others. He's a brooder who is extremely passionate about dancing and devotes himself fully to it but his perfectionistic tendencies and the disapproval of his parents makes him very easily frustrated when a dance doesn't turn out the way he wants it to. He becomes bossy, controlling and very harsh on others and himself due to his frustration and desire to be a dancer no one, not even his parents can complain about but on the regular day, he's a laid back and indifferent guy with a general calm about him until his tension puts him on edge and makes him reckless and testy. Chan-Yeol has an almost nauseating confidence in his abilities, especially dancing and believes himself to be the best dancer but works very hard in his pursuit of being the perfect dancer, nitpicking at the tiniest of details. He's a proud guy who is not afraid to clash with others and takes out his frustration with life at home on others and intimidates people into doing things for him when he's really upset and can't be bothered with anything. Chan-Yeol can be intimidating but he doesn't consider himself violent and avoids physical confrontations in part due to this and his desire not to harm his body and affect his dancing. He looks out for others he cares for though he doesn't show it outright and is protective of them in his own way. Behind the angsty teen he is at school and the foul mood he is usually in due to the tensions at home, Chan-Yeol is actually nice and helpful in the rare moments that he's in a good mood. His cold and closed off side was something he developed after he fell out with his parents to protect himself. Due to his parents lack of support and his sister who always worries about him, Chan-Yeol is very independent, self reliant and conceals any weakness and difficulties he has best as he can. Chan-Yeol is a hypocrite, disapproving of his mother's constant interference in his life despite him doing the same when he keeps problems from people that concern them and tries to handle the situation for them believing that what he is doing is in their best interest much like his mother. While Chan-Yeol has his fair share of nasty moments being mean in large due to the conflict at home, he doesn't go out of his way to look for trouble and just takes it out on others because he has difficulty suppressing all the negative emotions built up from what happens in the house and his low tolerance for a lot of things doesn't help. He's more dedicated and disciplined than most believe as many have come to assume he is just a bad influence. Chan-Yeol is a very private person and doesn't open up easily with most not knowing much if not anything about his home life and why he is the way he is. He's actually a kind and considerate guy but it doesn't really show because of his bad mood. Trusting others is something Chan-Yeol has had difficulty with ever since the kidnapping incident that caused him the life of his best friend.

History - Chan-Yeol was a winter baby born in late December on Christmas day to loving but controlling parents who were more often absent than not due to their busy careers as their second child and only son with a sister 6 years his senior. The absence of his parents early on made his sister his closest and dearest companion with Sun Hee taking it upon herself to care for and play with her baby brother. His parents formed expectations and plans for him from young and took every opportunity to evaluate and assess his capabilities to see which career path they desired for their son would best fit him. He was quickly introduced to a very structured and disciplined lifestyle that was meant to prepare him for the life his parents desired him to live. At school however, Chan-Yeol attracted the attention of a teacher when he displayed a knack for dancing which had him placed in a talent development program. His interest in it grew after a clumsy reenactment of the dance routine senior students were practicing put the brightest smile on her face. As time passed and he danced more, Chan-Yeol's love for it grew immensely to be more than just a means to make his sister laugh and smile. He enjoyed the thrill it gave him when he executed a difficult move and time flew right by when he danced, allowing him to relax and enjoy himself. The bond between the siblings had also deepened during the time they spent together and it became normal for Chan-Yeol to tell his sister just about everything and his free time was split between her and dancing. He learnt just how fragile his older sister's condition was when the two of them were involved in a car accident. The two were taking a taxi home after watching a concert as their parents were too busy to fetch them when they collided with another car while making a sharp turn. It left him with a fractured shoulder and put his sister in critical condition then a coma for several weeks and a wheelchair when she eventually woke up and got discharged. The incident worried Chan-Yeol and planted in him the same fears as his parents of losing her but instead of distancing himself emotionally like his parents had, Chan-Yeol started to treasure the time they had together. With his fractured shoulder, Chan-Yeol took a break from dancing and started to hang out with his best friend, a boy who like him had been selected for the talent development program for dancing during which they forged a strong friendship as the only kids from their class selected but he switched to painting not long after. It was after lessons when they were kidnapped in their last year of elementary school while on the way to their favourite hangout, an ice-cream parlour that they frequented on their free days. The kidnappers had been a gang of street thugs, one of whom had worked with Chan-Yeol's parents until they ruined him when he was made to take the fall for a botched surgery. Having recognised Chan-Yeol from photos he had seen of the boy and hungry for money and revenge, the man convinced them to kidnap him for ransom then kill Chan-Yeol after they got the money. The man, Jun Ho whom Chan-Yeol had met at the hospital once or twice before approached the two boys enroute to the parlour making use of his connection with Chan-Yeol to convince the boy to board his car. Chan-Yeol's friend Min Jae was apprehensive due to his parents warning him not to board the car of a stranger but Chan-Yeol convinced him that all would be fine and not to worry about it since he knew the man. Neither boy realised what was happening until a worried Min Jae looked out and interrupted the conversation when he saw the surroundings were unfamiliar following which the boys were knocked out. When both were awoken by a splash of cold water, they were tied up and in an unfamiliar place with Chan-Yeol's parents on the phone with Jun Ho who threatened them and allowed them to hear his voice before giving a final warning and terminating the call. Chan-Yeol was left permanently scarred by the event when Min Jae was killed before his eyes after the kidnappers determined there was no point trying to obtain a ransom from his parents and he was just extra baggage since their original target was Chan-Yeol with his wealthy parents. In the time that followed, the ransom was delivered to the appointed location and a tracking device carefully hidden within it for police officers to trail them from a safe distance. Having gotten the money, Jun Ho contacted Ji Ho and Hye Jin to arrange the location for them to collect Chan-Yeol, calling after the call ended that what they'd get back would be a corpse. The men set up a video camera and put on masks while taunting Chan-Yeol and promising to include a video of his last moments in the delivery box they would send him back in when the police ambushed the place and apprehended the men before they could commit the act, putting them behind bars for murdering Min Jae and saving Chan-Yeol's life. After he was rescued, Chan-Yeol blamed himself for his best friend's death and for months, he withdrew into a shell and isolated himself from others, traumatised by what happened. He shut out the attempts of anyone to reach him, even his sister but eventually came back out when he learnt of the distress it was causing others around him when his sister collapsed from the stress and worry over his health and behavior. Chan-Yeol did his best to convince her everything was alright as his behavior slowly went back to normal but nothing was quite the same again. The months of isolation, new environment of his middle school and the loss of his best friend had left him a loner with a small social circle and for a while after the incident, dancing was more of a coping mechanism for the loss than a passion he engaged in for fun, taking advantage of the fact that he could get completely immersed and lost in it, forgetting about all his troubles. Chan-Yeol continued to tell his sister of his daily activities as normal but hid his problems and difficulties with other students and teachers at school and downplayed the issues he was starting to have with their parents as much as he could. He also left out any other issue he felt his sister did not need to know even if it was related to her so she wouldn't collapse again from worrying over him, doing his best to settle the problem for her without her knowledge. This bad habit soon spread to his relationships with other people and ended some of his friendships. After his dancing senior made him realise that his dancing had lost the passion and liveliness it had once had, Chan-Yeol forced himself to visit his friend's grave and make peace with the incident that had tormented him for so long. As he eventually got over the guilt of being responsible for his friend's death following a conversation with his best friend's grandmother who was also at the grave, dancing slowly started to become fun again. The incident made him realise how important dancing was to him and he didn't want to do it as a just a hobby he engaged in in his free time while he worked a career he had no such passion for. Chan-Yeol became even more isolated and misunderstood at school after his mother began to interfere more in his life when he expressed his desire not to become a lawyer or pursue an equally respectable and secure job. It immediately lost him their support and what little affection they had shown him. They take every opportunity to voice their objections and disapproval to their son, leading to tensions in the house and his often bad and angsty mood. He was forced to attend Sevit as it was the only school he had applied for and was originally going to attend in accordance with the plans his parents had for him. Though he knows that it is unlikely as he betrayed their hopes and expectations and he will never admit this out loud, Chan-Yeol secretly longs for the support of his parents in his endeavors. He has since focused much of his time on dancing to become very good at it and wants to become a professional dancer, neglecting his studies in the process which his parents perceive as a purposeful act of defiance and has further worsened their relationship. Chan-Yeol stays out of the house as much as possible but makes sure to still return at a fairly early hour because of his sister. Though he himself hasn't fully realised it, Chan-Yeol no longer enjoys dancing as much as he used to due to his pursuit of perfection in it so that he will succeed and prove his parents wrong. Like many of the other things in Sevit, Chan-Yeol thinks that the cheerleaders program is stupid especially since its for the White Tigers who he dislikes due to it being the elite group his parents had wanted him to be a part of when they had him apply to Sevit, the group now representing everything that he rejects.

Family

Lee Ji Ho - Chan-Yeol's father. Like his wife, he is a prominent doctor but no longer performs surgeries due to his failing eyesight. He is very strict and disciplined with an air about him that commands respect from others. Though his relationship with Chan-Yeol has gone sour since the start of high school, Ji Ho loves his son. A man reserved in his display of affection, their interaction became more formal and cold after Chan-Yeol rejected their plans for him. He is proud of his son's talent for dancing but his fear of his stricter wife and that it will cause him to suffer in the future leads him to refrain from showing his support, hoping his son will come around. The two rarely interact nowadays as Ji Ho buries himself in his work and Chan-Yeol stays out longer hours to practice his dancing.

Lee Hye Jin - Chan-Yeol's mother is a fairly famous cardiac surgeon and very professional in the hospital but less so at home often leaving her more organised husband to clean up after her. She is extremely cautious, always preparing for the worst and taking measures to avoid the worst due to her daughter's health, her son's kidnapping and their car accident. Hye Jin puts up a strong front for her children and like her husband, she only wants the best for them though they both have very fixed notions of what is the best. She is harsher on Chan-Yeol than Ji Ho is and often pushes her son in the hopes that it will make him stronger while sheltering her daughter out of fear of losing her. The hours she works limits their interaction and the time she spends at home is often used to check on her daughter and catch up on much needed rest or lecture her son. She and Chan-Yeol have a tense relationship with most of their interactions resulting in arguments and tension since Chan-Yeol decided not to become a lawyer or pursue another respectable career. She disapproves of him dancing as more than just a hobby and believes she knows what's best for him and that he's just in a rebellious phase, confused by silly dreams and a passion that won't last, refusing to acknowledge his conviction or determination. Hye Jin often meddles and interferes with her son's life to prevent him from making the stupid decisions that come with being a youth which he will regret later on and Chan-Yeol doesn't appreciate her trying to control his life and decide things for him. He shows her little affection because he believes there's no point since she only approves of and shows him the slightest bit of love when he does what is acceptable in her eyes.

Lee Sun Hee - Chan-Yeol's older sister. Sun Hee was born with a weak constitution and her poor health limited her greatly, especially after the accident that put her in a wheelchair. The fragility of her health has made Chan-Yeol very protective of his older sister and changed their close relationship from one where they shared everything to one where only what was deemed safe for sharing was shared. Sun Hee is the only one who fully supports Chan-Yeol's love of dancing, encouraging his efforts and enjoying his performances. She is a very big presence in his life and has a greater influence on him than their parents, often keeping him in line and being the mediator. The company of his sister is one of the few human relationships he enjoys and Chan-Yeol always remembers to make time for her if nothing else. Sun Hee is more lighthearted and easy going than Chan-Yeol, often teasing and poking fun at him so that he will ease up and feel less stressed in the house. The affectionate and warm side of Chan-Yeol comes out around his sister and he goes along with what she wants most of the times even if it's something stupid or embarrassing if it will make her smile. The siblings support each other in the house in the absence of their parents and the lack of affection they face, Chan-Yeol because of his disobedience and Sun Hee because of her health that makes them fearful of losing her at any moment. Sun Hee is more understanding of their parents than Chan-Yeol and as his voice of reason tries to show Chan-Yeol their parents side but Chan-Yeol often changes subjects to avoid the conversation or just leave because he doesn't want to turn sour in front of his sister.

"Well if it isn't little Chan-Yeol, what happened to your arm?" Chan-Yeol and Min Jae slowed and looked over their shoulder to see a grown man with a scruffy beard and dark sunglasses approach them, a cigarette in his mouth. "Who's that?" Min Jae asked in a hushed whisper as he gripped his bag straps. Chan-Yeol shrugged his shoulders slightly as he kept his eyes on the man approaching them, brow knitted as he tried to recall a face that matched the one before him but nothing came to mind. As if reading his mind, the man removed his sunglasses as he apologised and knelt down in front of them. "Sorry about that. I forgot about my sunglasses. We met once or twice at the hospital when you came to visit remember? I'm Uncle Jun Ho." Chan-Yeol's eyes lit up when he recalled the kindly man he had been introduced to who offered him candy and let him spin around in his chair, seeing the resemblance now that the man had shed the glasses that were obscuring his face. "I remember! It's nice to meet you again Uncle Jun Ho. This is my friend Min Jae, we're on our way to an ice-cream parlour now. The lady there is really nice. She gives us an extra big scoop! Especially since I broke my arm in the car accident." Jun Ho frowned as he took a closer look at the cast. "Car accident?" He repeated, shaking his head. "I didn't know Ji Ho and Hye Jin were such careless drivers."

"Ah no. I was riding a taxi when it happened." Chan-Yeol corrected as he shifted his bag. "I see. That makes more sense. Do you and your friend want a lift to the ice cream parlour? My car's just round the corner." Min Jae stiffened and pulled back slightly at the suggestion, the discomfort showing clearly on his face, a sharp contrast to Chan-Yeol who brightened up at the offer. "Really? Won't we be troubling you Uncle Jun Ho?" Jun Ho let out a lighthearted laugh as he tossed the cigarette and rose to his feet. "Not at all. Let me treat the two of you, it's been a long time since we met and I have a others of things I want to ask you."

"Awesome! A car would be much faster than just walking! Let's go Min Jae!" Chan-Yeol turned to his friend, wide eyed and bouncing with excitement when he noticed the fear and apprehension in his best friend's eyes. "What's wrong?" He asked, peering at his friend's face up close, startling Min Jae slightly. "Nothing," Min Jae replied hesitantly as he took a step back and cast a quick glance at the man. "It's just mom and dad told me never to board a stranger's car so I would rather walk..." His voice trailed off and Chan-Yeol frowned at his friend's response. "It'll be alright. Uncle Jun Ho is a good guy and I know him. We can trust him." The confidence in Chan-Yeol's voice made Min Jae waver in his decision not to board the car. His friend was trustworthy but there was something about this man that made him uneasy but Chan-Yeol didn't seem to pick up the same vibes judging by his cheerfulness. "Alright." Min Jae agreed hesitantly and Chan-Yeol let out a small whoop as they followed Jun Ho round the bend. Chan-Yeol could understand why Min Jae would feel a bit uncomfortable since he didn't know Uncle Jun Ho but there was absolutely nothing to worry about. Uncle Jun Ho was a good guy who was friendly and kind and he was certainly that Min Jae would pick up on that quickly given how perceptive he was. Yet ten minutes later, Min Jae was still quiet unlike his usual talkative self and wouldn't stop fidgeting inside the car or join in on the conversation despite he efforts of Uncle Jun Ho to include him. Chan-Yeol was very confused by how needlessly cautious his friend was being. He knew Uncle Jun Ho. The man had entertained him in his office during his break and took the effort to talk and spend time with him when his parents had left him alone. He was certain that nothing bad could come from hitching a ride with him until Min Jae tugged sharply at his sleeve, jolting him out of his conversation with Uncle Jun Ho. "What is it Min Jae?" There was a hint of agitation in his tone as he turned his attention to his friend who was pointing out the window. "This isn't the way to the parlour. In fact I don't recognise these streets at all Chan-Yeol." Chan-Yeol frowned them felt his heart start to sink and his blood run cold when he saw that his friend was right. The car slowed to a stop and Jun Ho removed a taser from the pocket of his jacket as he turned around to face the boys. "Uncle Jun Ho where is this?" Chan-Yeol squeaked out, voice edged with fear and uncertainty as he met his gaze and froze up at the meaning gleam in his eyes and smile. "You'll find out soon Chan-Yeol. Now then it's about time for you boys to take your nap." The taser struck Min Jae first before either could react and Chan-Yeol was filled with despair as the taser knocked him out cold next and his body hit the seat. His friend had been right.

Kung Jeong Sin

Basics & Appearance
Age: 17

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Homosexual (closeted)

Group: Real Kings, the "bully"

Hair color: Black

Eye color: Brown

Weight: 187 pounds/84.8 kg

Clothing style: Jeong Sin prefers comfort over style and never fusses about what he is wearing. As such, he wears T-shirts that are easily tossed on regardless of their logos or their graphic designs and sweatpants. He has a favorite leather jacket that he wears in order to perpetrate the idea that he is frightening and should not be approached. He wears sneakers at all times, even in school and insists on carrying his headphones wherever he goes in order to drown out any attempts at conversing with him. On occasion, when his father demands so, Jeong Sin will slip into a suit and scowl the whole time he is wearing it.
Personality

tumblr_nghtblqdUD1u3wrv1o7_400.gif

Most who see Jeong Sin at school notice his explosive personality, triggered at any moment due to seemingly arbitrary reasons. A mention of his father's company might bring a shouting rage down on someone's head. A note about some couple or another might gain a scowl and a clenched fist. A pointed comment about an upcoming test or project might cause a snarky and agitated response in reply. Many who have been his peers know which topics to avoid when around him or speaking to him and most do their best to stay out of his way. Many find him strange; his parents are wealthy and he did well in middle school before coming to high school. His sharp change in the first two years of high school make many think that something happened out of school that changed his entire attitude. In truth, the simmering rage that always seems too close to the surface these days stems from deep seated insecurities within Jeong Sin that have been fanned for years.

Being homosexual in a family and a country where it is not accepted has worn Jeong Sin down tremendously. Ashamed of the feelings he carries for other boys and his dislike of the "proper" job his father has has caused a rift inside of him. His father hopes for him to become a successful businessman but he finds no joy in pushing papers all day, preferring to be free and out and about. Having always been vocal about his dislike of the office space, Jeong Sin has found himself constantly being taken there over his high school career, reminded of what he is not and what he has to be to please his family. He has wanted to make his father and mother happy as he truly does care for them but his own aspirations and feelings come in direct conflict with them. As a result, his rage has bubbled up over the years, a mix of self-deprecation and frustration at the cards he has been dealt. Greatly unhappy, Jeong Sin's insecurities force themselves out onto others in his rage and unhinged attitude many see today.

Biography

tumblr_inline_naj1kvk7Ul1spgawi.gif
tumblr_inline_naj1kyMA591spgawi.gif

Born in Seoul, South Korea during the spring of 1999, Jeong Sin was the only child of a wealthy businessman and his socialite wife. From the beginning, all attention was focused on him and him alone. His mother doted on her precious son and his father dreamed of the day that he would carry on the legacy of running a successful industry. These dreams were imposed on Jeong Sin from an early age as his father often took him to his office and showed him the towering glass structure that rose above him, promising him that one day, it would all be his. At the time, Jeong Sin didn't understand the implications of the statement and simply agreed, happy to be in his father's arms.

It wasn't until he was enrolled in school that the cracks began to show. Jeong Sin entered an elite private school to further his studies and carve him into an upstanding young man. The school had a dance team whose coach his mother knew and she enrolled him in it. At first, Jeong Sin was apathetic towards dance, following the commands and motions with little regard for what was truly going on. It wasn't until their first showcase that he was exposed to the thrill of the art and the way it made him feel. From that moment on, Jeong Sin found himself a passion and continued to practice daily. However, his father disapproved, viewing it as a feminine pursuit and warning his mother that if she permitted him to continue, he would become like his uncle. His mother dismissed the remark, saying that her brother was just weak and that Jeong Sin would not be.

Jeong Sin realized that they were referring to the fact that his uncle was homosexual for the first time when he entered middle school and his world started expanding. His father and mother were traditional people who viewed his uncle's deviant sexuality the result of feminine pursuits in his youth, specifically a joy of fashion. Around the same time, Jeong Sin began to have doubts about the path his father was laying out in front of him, finding the stage more exhilarating than the hours spent at a desk, combing through text and letters. At first, he simply shrugged off the work, promising his father he would do it another day. As the pile began to build up, his father turned wrathful, striking him for the first time when he was eleven. His mother chided him as well and Jeong Sin's unhappiness began.

His father pulled him from the dance group in his middle school in an effort to force him to concentrate. Jeong Sin went against his father's wishes and continued to attend practice and meets, finding a small glimmer of happiness in the hours he spent next to those who shared his affection for the stage and the pounding music. His father struggled to discipline him as Jeong Sin's own temper grew, lashing out at the man trying to stifle him. In the end, Jeong Sin won the battle as his own stubbornness prevailed. His father's wrath and disapproval did as well. The physical violence had long dissipated as his own strength was quickly outmatching his father's, built through his love of dance.

His parents still wished to have their own aspirations for a glorious son come true and enrolled him in Sevit, even if he did not wish to be there, preferring to stay at his private school with his friends that he danced with. In high school, Jeong Sin found another bump in the road in the form of his deviant sexuality, something that he had subtly feared ever since he heard the whispers of his forbidden uncle. He found himself more drawn to boys than girls as his mother took him along to parties, introducing him to her friends' daughters in an attempt to make a smart public match. Jeong Sin was more intrigued by the sons and their glittering smiles and sharp suits than the daughter's batting eyelashes and curving dresses. His temper continued to simmer and eventually spilled over when a teacher suggested he try harder in his academics than his dance, a statement he had heard from his father far too many times. Frustrated with a lack of understanding at home and out in the real world, Jeong Sin retreated into himself and his wrath to keep him safe and somehow rooted to his own true desires. The True Kings is the only thing he has to call his own and he is determined to follow it through the last years of his high school career.

Family

Kung Chil Hyeon, father, age 42 -- A businessman first and a family man second, Chil Hyeon has always seen the money before the family. Growing up, he has always thought that business, money, and success are the hallmarks of a strong, successful man. As a result, he has tried to instill these same values in his son to no avail. Some say Jeong Sin's violent temper comes from him and at times, Chil Hyeon can see it. He regrets the way he has raised Jeong Sin and the fact that he so clearly pushes him away.

Kung Hye In, mother, age 39 -- Hye In loves her son and her husband but hides it behind glittery clothing and polished nails. She wants to put forth the image of a successful woman and housewife and looks to her husband to provide for the family. Somewhat lazy, she finds her son's dislike of business thoroughly disappointing. She has been getting into fights with Chil Hyeon over Jeong Sin's deviating behavior, wishing that there was a way to "fix" him.

Joo Min Seok, uncle, age 37 -- The uncle that Jeong Sin has never seen but relates to, Min Seok has struggled to find his own place in society as well. A smart man that happens to love other men, Min Seok has always been the ridicule of his older sister and his brother-in-law. He wishes to meet his nephew to reassure him that what they think is not the end of the world, as he has been in closer contact with Chil Hyeon due to Jeong Sin's habits as of late.

Real Kings

Hwan Mi Rae -- The person Jeong Sin has the best relationship with, Jeong Sin joined the Real Kings due to the fact that he wanted to continue dancing. She gladly let him in due to his skill and since then, Jeong Sin has been aiding her in designing choreography. He deems her kind and doesn't see her as a "threat" to himself, given that she hasn't pushed for more information than he has given her. She is aware that he is struggling with his parents, though she does not know the truth depth of the struggle.

Bom Hae Ya -- Jeong Sin is agitated by Hae Ya easily. Her tendency to just keep going in a conversation irks him, as he prefers to avoid certain subjects that she can't seem to stop talking about. He perceives her as somewhat dull due to her feeble-mindedness and does his best to avoid her, lest he be roped into having a conversation with her for hours on end.

Choi Byeol Ho -- While Byeol Ho might see Jeong Sin as someone relatable, Jeong Sin feels almost nothing towards the other. He is aware that they are linked through explosive tempers and aggressive tendencies but he knows her reasons for it, or at least has been told by a few others. As such, he is slightly envious that she has had good parents and a happy household compared to his own. He understands her rage and simply lets it lie, believing that their anger stems from very different sources and for very different reasons.

Chil Hyeon -- Jeong Sin appreciates Chil's presence in the Real Kings, finding his organization and decision making skills important in keeping the otherwise wild and untamed group together and actually above water. Other than that, Jeong Sin usually just yells at him when he messes up and forgets the moves. He slightly annoys Jeong Sin through this and he tends to be snappish towards Chil after practice as a result.

Will be filled in later

White Tigers

Jin Tae Gan -- Hate can be a strong word but for Jeong Sin, it is too weak to describe what he feels towards Tae Gan. Their lives are similar in many ways and at the same time are nothing alike. They both grew up with wealthy fathers and with expectations laden on them and were introduced to one another at an early age, becoming friends through their fathers' connection. However, as time went on, Tae Gan blossomed, intelligent and smart and a lady's man, while Jeong Sin floundered. He was the perfect son compared to Jeong Sin and the comparisons never quite stopped. During their middle school years, they drifted apart, spurred on by Jeong Sin's personal troubles and the shadow Tae Gan was casting over him. Jeong Sin has resented Tae Gan for being one of examples he will never live up to and making his life miserable when it once was joyous.

Myo Kyu Min -- If Jeong Sin hates Tae Gan, then he might borderline like Kyu Min. It's only the occasional glances that the other boy tosses Jeong Sin's way that cause him to resent the other in any way, uncomfortable with the attention. Other than that, Jeong Sin doesn't interact much with Tae Gan and sees him in the hall occasionally.

Jeon Min Hwan -- Jeong Sin has no idea why the other two males of the White Tigers seem to be watching him at times. It's irritating more than enduring and he usually just snaps a "What?" at them when he sees it. Min Hwan's apparent lack of care about dance almost offends Jeong Sin as he has had to fight to earn the right to do so while Min Hwan doesn't seem to give a damn about it.

Sang Ji Eun -- A simple presence in the halls that Jeong Sin occasionally sees, the only reason he knows of her existence is the fact that she is part of the White Tigers and dislikes the Real Kings. Supposedly, that's his grounds for disliking her.

Pang Hyun Mi -- Jeong Sin and Hyun Mi have had quite a few loud altercations in the hallways, usually over one of them yelling at another from their respective groups. Whether Jeong Sin has snapped at one of the White Tigers or Hyun Mi makes a remark about the Real Kings, they usually end up at each others throats verbally. They have a distinctly openly foul relationship.

Dae Areum -- Aerum, as far as Jeong Sin knows, is another little girl, the kind that appear in twos and threes, with a pretty face and fluttering eyebrows that they use to have their way with anyone. He sees her as vain and not very interesting. As such, he harbors nothing more than the typical angry apathy he has for most students at the Academy, seeing her as someone with more luck than he has.

One, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four--

An exceptionally loud crunch broke Edrea's train of thought, causing them to pause as they glanced down at their laced-up combat boot. Lifting it up cautiously, they saw that it had been nothing more than a tree branch, gnarled and dry and grey, with twigs that looked like fingers reaching for the sky. They glanced up at the sky, clear blue with not a single cloud above and thought that perhaps the tree that the branch had come from had been reaching for the great blue dome, to touch it and relish in it while the world around it died and withered away and that this branch had reached a bit too hard, wished a bit too much, and fell.

Edrea dipped her head back down and started the drum beat in their head again, feeling slightly less burdened. Their coping mechanisms were strange and sometimes, Edrea wondered if they were sick in the head with how they had dealt with everything. A drum beat by day to keep the memories away allowed them to focus on tasks such as scavenging for food and supplies and examining the world about. By night, they would stare into the dark and allow the memories to dance around in their head, memories of gunfire and blood and of red, red, red. Red skin, red soil, red rage.

Everything was red nowadays.

Sometimes they would spot something like the tree branch, something that they could allow their imagination to capture and play with for a little, to make them feel normal for once. Edrea liked those moments; even though their imagination was dark and tainted by memories, it made them feel silly and free. They could make up stories, turn simple patterns of mushrooms into delightful stories about fairies spinning around and around and around, dancing until they turned to ash like in the nursery rhyme. It was morbid and they sometimes entertained the thought of living through a normal life and becoming a writer, to share the runaway thoughts that they could no longer pin down to paper.

These days, Edrea focused on
surviving. People who wanted to stop and rest and exchange stories were not people who they enjoyed speaking with. It was tedious and boring and more often than not, those people were simply desperate and Edrea did not need more desperation in their life, not after the faces and the screams and the tears that they had already seen.

They frowned as they walked, approaching what appeared to be a paved road, still being reclaimed by nature. In some way, the grass that grew in the cracks and the roots that dug under asphalt and ripped it up from its base made them feel calm. Like things were returning to how they used to be; with overgrown nature and animals flouncing about, a circle of life and death that humans did not come into and muddy up. Of course, humans
had attempted to muddy it up, or at least that had been a rumor. Whatever the case, nature had taken its turn and had spat in the faces of those that thought that they could conquer it.

Their eyes traveled the broken road, trying to see if anyone else was around. Their hair blew momentarily in their wind, matted curls that were coated in dirt brushing by their cheek. Edrea tucked a strand quickly behind their ear, growing out their bob so that they may find it easier to pull up completely. Their clothing was dirty and dusty and brown, salvaged together from camps and bodies and stitched together to aid in blending in. They had hardly seen another person in weeks and weeks, but it was always a niggling thought in the back of their mind; stay low, stay hidden, or the dead find you with their red skin and sickly hands.

Edrea spotted someone up ahead, trudging down the street in clothing that they did not recognize. Were they part of a cult? A government worker? (Did the government exist anymore? They couldn't remember, almost didn't care. They had not heard a whisper about it or seen a flash of a badge or a gun or the glint of a trained officer in so long that it seemed a myth that there used to be something overhead, watching over them all.)

They crept closer, their hand reaching for the gun at their side, holstered to their fraying belt and watched the stranger walk.

Where were they going? Where could one possibly go, except to the grave anymore?

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Hyun-Mi's appearance is quite a contrast to her personality, looking rather sweet and approachable, which is honestly why Hyun-Mi even has friends in the first place. She's comparable to a porcelain doll, though her persona couldn't be more far from that of a fragile and dainty girl. Her dark and messy tresses are worn down on most occasions, complementing her pale and spotless skin perfectly. Hyun-Mi's brown eyes are rather large, with dark, thick lashes and under certain lighting, reveal the girl's everlasting struggle to sleep at appropriate timings. Other than that, Hyun-Mi's button-like nose and light pinkish mouth are almost perfectly proportioned, and honestly, her face is pretty symmetrical if you look at it carefully.

Hyun-Mi's fashion sense is something you can't use words to describe accurately. It changes everyday, and she wears almost everything, while still making it look effortless and casual. Her style ranged from Homeless Chic to Rich Brat, from Innocent Sweetheart to Street Rat, and everything in between. Hyun-Mi typically doesn't wear much makeup, though it varies depending on what she chose to wear that day. The only thing you need to know, is that you'll never see her don the same outfit twice in a week. And you always have to get ready for a surprise.

PERSONALITY

Skeptical, sarcastic, blunt... There are a lot of words that can be used to describe Hyun-Mi. Problem is that most of them aren't very nice. Though her appearance speaks otherwise, Hyun-Mi's persona is one of a cold and heartless strategist. She plans everything out, and when I say everything, I mean everything. She'd plan her damn funeral if she had the chance. She doesn't like to react on instinct, claiming that it causes problems that can't be fixed. Hyun-Mi doesn't like to be kept in the dark about most things. Be it the answer to a Math question or a close friend's deep dark secret. This makes her seem a little nosy at times, as she often pokes and prods at subjects that most would realize was a sensitive topic. Why doesn't she see it as a sensitive topic? Well... Because Hyun-Mi isn't a sensitive person, whether you like it or not.

But underneath that cool and calculative facade, lies a girl that just wants to fit in like any other person. The only reason why Hyun-Mi really acts like this is because... Well, it makes her seem strong and capable, and to her, it keeps her out of harms way, when in reality, she's setting herself up for rumors and gossips galore. But if you have enough persistence, or maybe you're more stubborn that a bull, Hyun-Mi has the capability to be the best companion in the world. Why? Because she will stay loyal through thick and thin, and will never, ever rat you out or bitch about you behind your back, since she knows how back that feels.

But don't think that means she won't sever her ties with you if you hurt her. If Hyun-Mi is nice to you, don't even think about acting mean or being a backstabber, because once that trust is gone, it'll never mend itself. Hyun-Mi surprisingly also has a soft spot- For people who are just like her. Hyun-Mi leans towards socializing with those that she knows have experienced being gossiped about, knowing that they know how bad it feels to be betrayed by people they called 'friends'. So all in all, Hyun-Mi is a girl trying to fit in, but doing it wrongly. Her facade of being calm and strategic makes her a bit of a laughing stock, though she isn't afraid to shove it in the face of the people who think their better than her that truthfully, they aren't.

BIOGRAPHY

Pang Hyun-Mi, the result of a drunk night out between two intoxicated teens who were involved in underage drinking and substance abuse. She's never had a happy family... She's never had a real family at all actually. Her father and mother were sent off to juvie almost at the exact moment Hyun-Mi was born. She's been under the care of her grandmother for as long as she can remember. Sure, they were pretty rich, but maybe that's why her parents even decided to start drinking at a young age, because they wanted to be rebellious, and look where that landed them. This was the reason Hyun-Mi often came to when she thought about this subject, so from a young age, she vowed that she'd stay a 'good' and 'normal' child. She vowed that she'd stay out of trouble, or she'd end up like her parents.

So Hyun-Mi didn't mix around with the people she thought were going straight to hell, just like her parents. This surface judgement of hers grew, and grew, until she let almost no one talk to her, and shied away from social interaction as a whole. Those few that were brave enough to approach her were often turned down, as she saw them as people who'd betray her after a while, as people who would never understand where she came from or why she acted the way she did.

But one day, when Hyun-Mi was about 14, there was a girl, who had such persistence that she managed to break through Hyun-Mi's shell. She was smart, sweet, and Hyun-Mi though that she'd never betray her. But oh, how wrong she was.

Hyun-Mi made the mistake of spilling her secrets to that girl, and the next day at school, everyone knew about her past, she was the laughing stock, with people pointing, giggling and whispering in small groups, as if Hyun-Mi didn't even realize. Sure, her story isn't as tragic as getting beaten up everyday, but it still hurt her. And so, Hyun-Mi decided to focus on her studies, and eventually scored top in the class a few times, and she even once topped the whole level. The rumors died down, but they didn't stop completely of course.

Enter Sevit Academy, the academy of Hyun-Mi's dreams. It was known for having a pristine and clean reputation, and it was Hyun-Mi's goal to get in. It was further away from her old school, so no one from there would be in the academy, and the thought made Hyun-Mi even happier. And so, she was accepted into the school, and even better, she was known as one of the school's elites. The top 5% in academics. She was happy for that, but her social life is still a little shaky. So, who knows, she might get a chance to fix it.

FAMILY

| Grandmother | Sa Hyeon Joo | 70 |

Hyun-Mi has always appreciated her grandmother for raising her since birth in place of her irresponsible parents. She's never had the closest of bonds with her elder, but Hyun-Mi knows that she can always count on her grandmother for moral support.

| Father | Pang Jae-Kyeong | Unknown |

Hyun-Mi doesn't know much about her father honestly. Her paternal grandparents are no where to be found, so there was never anyone to tell Hyun-Mi about what her father was like before he was carted off to juvie.

| Mother | Sa Deok Hee | Unknown |

From what Hyun-Mi's grandmother has said, Deok Hee was a smart and capable woman. No one knows what drove her to alcohol. Maybe it was just the thought of rebelling. Hyun-Mi's mother is her main driving force for studying hard and staying on a straight path.

Fab Five

The sound of Harley's alarm clock made the female jolt awake, shocked for a few seconds before she flashed The Finger to the startling device and stuffed her face back into her pillow. Harley was never a fan of the mornings. But let's be honest, which sane eighteen year old was a fan of mornings. Her slender arms wrapped around her soft, fluffy blanket while the roadkill she called her hair buried itself deeper into the light and warm comfort that was her pillow.

"Harley... Harley... HARLEY!" Harlequin's mother's shrill and tired voice rang in her daughter's ears and as if something flipped in her brain, Harley shot up and got ready, realizing it was her first day of Senior Year. Harley strolled along to her bathroom after tearing her wardrobe apart to find the perfect outfit for today's activities, which would of course include, ruling the entirety of the student body. You know, important stuff. The shower was refreshing and allowed Harley to have those few moments of peace before her skin got all wrinkly and her hair was too heavy for her head, which meant that she was practically being forced out of that warm and silent paradise.

After drying her hair, Harley stared at herself in the mirror before applying some makeup. She was never a huge fan of dolling up to the maximum and spending hours afterwards to cleaning up, so she kept it simple and used what she used everyday. The female walked downstairs after dumping the previous day's clothes in the laundry basket and managed to snag a chocolate bar on the way out the door which she proceeded to stuff into her bag and leave untouched till none of the Fab Five was around. There'd been a text from Hadlee earlier, to meet at the parking lot at 7:45 sharp. Harlequin had no wish to be kicked out of the group and complied by driving at breakneck speed and making several sharp turns that had almost cost both her and her precious motorcycle.

After parking her precious vehicle, Harley realized a slightly younger girl looking a tad bit lost in the parking lot, as if she were searching for someone or something and upon closer inspection, it was Summer, that new recruit that was invited to join the F5... She was nice, a bit naive though. "Sup." Harley greeted, giving the younger girl a quick grin that disappeared just as fast as it came. Shaking her head and taking off her aviators, Harley at that moment looked like no short of a badass really. "And now... We wait." She murmured, scanning the parking lot for her friends.

Dae? ??? ?????Areum

"SOLITUDE"

nickname(s) : sunny ; dae areum-ah ; aroma

age : seventeen

gender : female
grade twelve ; white tiger - "clueless best friend"

- pansexual -

@Kawaii |
Choi Byeol Ho

- She knows that she is disliked by this Aggressive King, but she admires her from afar. Areum was naturally kept inside, so stepping out into this brand new environment causes her eyes to become large. Hair dye, music, punk, aggressiveness. There is so much that she is vulnerable to, yet curious about, and she knows this, which is why she keeps a well intended distance between her and Choi Byeol Ho. Not because she wants to, nor is it because of Byeol Ho's detestment, but because she doesn't know what to expect in the future.

@tinkerbell |
Hyeon Chill

- Areum's people innocence gets in the way of things, simply because everyone has different personalities. Hyeon Chill is one of the very few people in Real King that she personally finds herself attracted to; whether it be romantic or friendly, it all depends on future interactions. His blond hair with candy colored pink on the top is what she stares at a lot, seeing as Areum wants to have blond hair too, but she doesn't know how to. That and she isn't sure how to get that done. If anything, if White Tigers and Real Kings got a long, putting petty things behind them, she could most likely see Chill as a big brother, or best friend figure. *Areum is catches subtle hints that Hae Ya is attracted to him because she pays attention to facial expressions, but she has never experienced attraction up front, so Areum makes a couple of mistakes here and there. This also does not take away from her naturally flirt-istic behavior; this is a type of behavior trait she isn't aware of due to her promiscuousness.*

@MissAlice |
Hyun Jae Min

- Areum is not quite sure how she feels about Hyun Jae Min. One could very easily say she was either comfortable or uncomfortable. She likes to talk to him, yes, and she doesn't mind his flirtatious behavior because she responds by making goofy faces. However, there are moments when his smiles and his eyes make her squirm, so she shies away from him. Anyhow, the only times she has talked to him is when they were in class, in-between classes, or those slight coincidences in the hallways. She doesn't want Ji Eun to fuss at him, or her, for associating. They were in two rivalling groups, so Areum chose to keep her distance at most.

White Tigers

@Ambivalence |
Jeon Min Hwan

- To put this rather bluntly, Areum finds Jeon Min Hwan absolutely amusing. Yes, he can hold a grudge for however long, and yes he's intelligent, but that doesn't matter to her. He, as well as others, keep things interesting. She could almost say that his presence adds a lot of liveliness to the already crowded atmosphere, and she's anxious for the future when he speaks.

- To add on to this, Areum also admires how he is still caring and willing to listen to a person pour out whatever is bothering them. He has an abstract essence beneath the bitterness of his attitude.

@Chibii |
Pang Hyun Mi

- A vast majority of her relationships with White Tigers and Real Kings fall under Friends or Acquaintances, and Pang Hyun Mi is no different. Hyun Mi is Ji Eun's best friend, the one that Ji Eun often associates with the most between the two of them. Knowingly, Areum keeps her distance because she is a tad bit afraid of Hyun Mi more than she would be of others. Hyun Mi unintentionally attacks Areum's security in the beauty department, and she keeps that to herself because who wouldn't? There are many moments where Areum wished she was closer to Hyun Mi in order to feel like a better friend with the both of them.

- On a side-note, Areum associates herself with Hyun Mi when it comes to studying. She is at her most confident, as well as comfortable, when she is studying with both her Best Friend and Friend with all feelings set aside.

Dae Areum wants to form a relationship with just about anyone that welcomes her.

All crushes and romantic attractions will naturally be determined through out the role-play; due to the administrator behind the character having a difficult time determining solid, possible, relationships with any of the characters. (There are too many ships.)

Chill

Chil-Hyeon "Chill" ?

18

Demi, leaning towards A

Realking; aspiring singer/dancer
Chill has always been rather oblivious, to animosity, a lack of genuineness and romance from the start. Later in life he started to catch on, as everyone was encouraging him without any real care for what he was doing, cause there wasn't any faith in the beginning - his parents always had a plan B, which was really plan A and they just let him believe he was carving his own path; his care takers and tutors had been similarly programmed by his parents, to let him attempt and then come in with what'd seem like the real solution, but was really their way of catering to their ordinary child. He lacked connection with everyone and still does - not from a lack of effort, but with him being so sunken into his own desires and no one else finding his particularly worth their time, nothing substantial has really every evolved, much to his disappointment. Being labeled as 'easily forgettable' at a young age, however, seemed to add this intensity he tries to give off that may come off superficial, sad, or just obnoxious - he's extremely confused regarding his own identity, but while he experiments with different dyes and song styles, he always seems to revert to his genuine self which is, typically unbeknownst to him, collected, easily entertained, mindful and authentic.

H e often feels like the audience of his own life, watching things go by like scenes without really feeling engaged in what he's doing - he's not really included in the groups and cliques of theater productions, musical performances or just school in general, but always makes an effort to be there and get to know everyone, cause he wants to. He wants to be the lead, sure, but to be a part of something, not to take it over. He's a bit flighty - doesn't have the best memory, might run a few minutes late, can't seem to maintain interest in a conversation very long and does show up with the occasional bruise he can't explain, but that's a rather endearing and lovable quality of his. He's persistent enough to annoy his superiors - but it also shows his genuine desire to be involved; he does, however, deal with immense surges of pessimism and discouragement, and often has no one to turn to.

His childhood seemed to have gone by without trouble, he lived in the heights of Seoul, surrounded by brilliant minds, the best provided academics, little towns were just passing scenery, most city folk were just silhouettes filling unexplored streets. Everything was sleek, contemporary, upgraded, the latest - honest to God he felt bested by even his own wardrobe. He never failed a class (but wasn't at the top, either), he'd entered every musically inclined competition within both the school and the community theater (he never won or landed a leading role, though), he took up nearly every popular instrumental lesson available but never would be the next Yiruma. It seemed like a consistent balance of just enough, which was eerily relevant to his parent's flighty presence; they were there enough to rule out neglect, but not enough for him to recollect a
favorite memory. He recalls a lot of praise for his ordinary acts as a kid, luckily he was a self motivated child hell bent on improving even when those around him said he'd achieved enough, a constant phrase that he'd come to realize meant you should just give up now as opposed to you've mastered this skill when he got older.

He could remember quietly studying music books in the corner of either of his parent's big wig offices, listening to them expertly execute business calls and throughout the day bosses and co workers alike would praise their work, their ethics, their
natural talent. He wanted genuine recognition like that. They took a lot of long winded business trips with out of the country, especially around holidays, so he'd traveled most holidays to high class areas, spending days around kids who could play the piano with their eyes closed, were on their way to silicon valley or tokyo at seventeen, or recite Shakespearean novels from memory; he tried to share what he was interested in, poetry - specifically the rap songs he could make out of what he wrote, and could play nearly every song under the sun via guitar, just not quite like Bon Jovi, he could sing, but not like Houston. Mostly though he was spending long days with several overly attentive nannies walking on eggshells, aware of the weight a review from his parents had on their career, more interested in getting the rating than actually forming a relationship with the kid they spent ungodly hours with.

The self-defining moment of his youth came when he auditioned for a traditional korean play in his hometown, something that brought in large audiences and held a lot of sentimental value within his culture. He wanted the lead role - that's what he always sought, even if he was instead given the role of a tree he aimed for the top and humbly accepted second best (or, in his case, sixth or seventh). This time, though, he really gave it his all - he had years of experience under his belt, his parent's nearly robotic support, and genuine passion - and when he awaited the director's reaction, the dead look in his orbs mixed with the careless toss of his portfolio left him completely dumbfounded.

"Thank you." Was all he said, and in that moment, having already lost the spot - he just knew it - he had to ask, "What about my performance did you not like?"

"Your performance was fine. It's just you as a person - you're easily forgettable."

He wore that statement like a tattoo out of the building, taking notice for the first time in his life how silent his parents were - he wanted a response from them, too.

"Maybe now's a good time to be thinking about a
business career, all you need is work ethic, and you've always had that!" His mother told him with a smile.

He later asked them, "Why did you let me entertain the thought, if you didn't think I was any good?"

"You have such spirit," they told him, "we didn't want to crush your dreams. You've always been average in everything you do, that's why we already have a job at (their company) for when you're ready to... well, think realistically. There wasn't any threat of you playing with the idea of being in the entertainment industry, when you were guaranteed to come work with us when it all fell through."

When, he remembered, interesting choice of words.

Much to their dismay, he didn't stop there. It was a sad drive he had to be, well, memorable - so he joined Sevit. It was their persuasion and his insistence that even got him in the school, considering they hadn't found him particularly impressive during enrollment - he'd change that. He wouldn't settle with ordinary. He wanted to be unique and remembered.

Chill has a look that reflects his true nature, it's relatively conservative, of a rather high quality and has an aesthetic appeal with a more neutral or pastel oriented palette as opposed to crazy colors, patterns, etc. He has a thing for ties and collars, usually has his clothing dry cleaned and pressed - he messes with the cuffs of his button downs often enough to bother someone. He prefers a bit of class and formality, and doesn't really have a relationship with casual clothing aside from crew neck, cashmere sweaters, which he has dedicated a whole side of his closet towards - with those, navy blue or a snow white are his preferences. Dislikes access fringe, graphics or the discomfort that comes with leather.

Jin's most common outfit of choice is skinny jeans and either a simple t-shirt or a comfy hooded jumper. When he feels like putting more effort in, you can usually see him in more eccentric clothing, but for the most part, he keeps his outfits fairly low key and basic. Depending on his hairstyle, and mood, Jin sometimes wears baseball caps.

Personality

personality |

Jin is a confident, outspoken person. He loves to have a good time, playing pranks on his friends or making jokes with them. However, that being said, Jin is also a quiet person when alone. You can often find him sitting alone, with his hood up and earphones in, listening to music or writing songs. Being alone often gives him the most inspiration for writing. In general, Jin is relatively care free and chilled out. Avoiding confrontations is not in Jin's nature. Loyal and protective, Jin will lash out at anyone who threatens to hurt himself or those close to him. Though he likes to be calm and care free, Jin can loose sight of this in situations where people close to him are hurt. On that note, Jin can be a hot-head in certain circumstances and has a violent side which is rarely ever seen. Despite his care-free, chilled out side, Jin can be over confident and loud, especially around his friends. Often being the 'life of the party', Jin loves to make people laugh and his charismatic nature lets this be done fairly easily. To people who don't know him, Jin's appearance can sometimes make him seem like a typical 'bad boy', with his hood up and earphones in he can look unsociable and rude. And whilst part of this is true, he is in some respects a 'bad boy', his personality goes much deeper and he is actually a fun loving, care free person. Jin sometimes wishes he was the kind of guy to go out and graffiti buildings, sleep around and break rules but in reality, he respects everyone around him and cares deeply about other people. Sometimes, he takes a while to see other people's emotions properly; for example, in arguments he will be prideful and stubborn, but after a while, he will slowly realise what he has said and more often than not, will suck his pride up and apologise.

Background

1998-present |

A young couple, together since high-school, gave birth to Seong-Jin Park on the 18th of November. Named for his hopeful success and exciting life, Jin was introduced to education and studies from a very young age. He was average in school, never an exceptional student whilst not failing or dropping out at either. Instead, Jin focused on his work and put a lot of effort into his studies. His reasoning being that he didn't have any dreams or hopes, no career goals and his parents only expected him to grow up and do well. They didn't have any plans laid out for him, so Jin floated through the early years of school just following the rules and doing as he was told. He happily listened to his teachers and parents, obeying their requests and keeping them happy, always respecting them.

As Jin grew older, he found himself getting bored with school. Some of it was too easy for him, causing him to not put as much effort in as he should. Other parts of school simply disinterested him. Through out the day, Jin often found himself doodling on his notebooks, scribbling lyrics down over the pages. Jin would regularly get in trouble for not paying attention, for drawing on his work and day-dreaming in class. This only pushed his interests further until it developed into a full blown dream, to sing and rap and write songs.

His parents disapproved. Even though they had always been supportive of Jin's interests, they disliked the idea of Jin following his dream whole-heartedly. With that being said, when Jin persisted and showed his talent to them, eventually they agreed to help him follow his dreams. After finding out about Sevit Academy, Jin's parents agreed to send him there to continue his studies as well as his rapping/singing and to also pursue his interest in dancing.

Once at Sevit Academy, Jin fit right into the Real Tigers group, evolving into the confident, self-assured and talented young man that was being held back by his parents and teachers. Here, his talent is embraced and accepted, and Jin can finally feel as though he is in the right place.

02:34am

Hana shrugged her jacket off and threw it onto the kitchen island counter. Tired, stressed out and intoxicated, Hana reached for a glass. She filled it to the brim with water and knocked the whole thing back in one go. Placing the glass back onto the marble counter top, she sighed and walked over to the fridge, pulling on the freezer door handle and swiftly locating the vanilla ice cream. She grabbed a spoon from the dishwasher, swivelled the stool around and put her bowl of ice cream down. It had taken Hana half an hour to get home, Lee had been asleep when she rang earlier and so she assumed he'd have fallen back asleep by now. None-the-less, she texted him.

Home now. Having ice cream then off to bed. Night. x

Hana finished her ice cream off and pushed the bowl away from her. She dropped her head into her hands, closed her eyes and wished it to be the morning; with no hangover. Thinking of ways to avoid going to bed, Hana pulled her phone out and checked her social media sights. Unwillingly, Hana started thinking of the party and the events that had unravelled. She thought of Darius and what he had told her, she thought of Thea and Octavia and the guy who grabbed her shoulder; of whom she still didn't know the name of.

Frustrated and wound up, Hana launched herself off the chair and soon found herself in her bed. She plugged her earphones in to her phone and played some music whilst she laid in bed. Soon enough, she fell asleep.

--------------------------------------------------

The next morning - 11:21am

The earphones she had put in her ears the previous night had fallen out, Hana could hear the music faintly as she opened her eyes. Hana laid in her bed, ignoring the music, and just stared at the ceiling. She hadn't changed out of her clothes and started to feel how uncomfortable sleeping in a skirt was. After a few minutes laying still, Hana looked over towards her bedroom window, the sun was blaring through her curtains, blinding Hana. She lifted her hand to her eyes and frowned. The hangover had started.

"Ugh." Hana lifted herself out of bed and made her way over to the plywood desk, she looked at herself in the mirror. "Oh god." Disgusted at the makeup halfway down her face, smudged with tears and sweat from the party, Hana headed towards her bathroom. In an effort to sort her self out, she got a quick shower - most of which was spent staring at the wall and enjoying the heat - and got changed into her outfit for the day. She opted for a more comfortable style today, feeling a need to just be herself for one day before school started.

She eventually found herself in the kitchen, had a glass of orange juice, holding the cold glass to her forehead in an attempt to stop her pounding headache. When that didn't work as intended, she reached up and grabbed some painkillers. Ever since her admission to the therapy program, back in Sweden, her parents hid any form of medication up on the top shelf of the kitchen cupboard. They didn't know that she knew, however. Hana swollen the painkillers, took another large gulp of orange juice and shoved her shoes on. Her plan for today was to go into town, she wanted a coffee from what was apparently the best place to go for coffee, located inside a fairly large mall. Hana didn't know the names of any places, she was still relatively new to the place and her main focus was following the map on her phone correctly.

--------------------------------------------------

The mall was full of people. It was the day before school, so everyone was out, enjoying the sunshine and their last day of freedom. A lot of parents were out with their young children, presumably buying last bits and pieces for their first day back at school. Hana sighed and made her way through the crowd of people, she tried to follow the vaguely worded signs pointing to the food court and various other hughstreet stores. After going around in circles roughly three times, Hana gave up and perched herself on the stone edge of a water fountain. The breeze from the nearby exit was nice and the water fountain gave her a nice relaxing sound backdrop. She pulled out her phone and checked her social media, updating her statuses and sending various cheesy Snapchat's to her brother. She decided not to bug him with calls and texts today, after barely being able to remember what she'd spoken to him about last night, she thought it was best to try and deal with today on her own.

Tired of feeling hopeless, Hana got up to look for the coffee shop she had set out to find earlier. Pushing her earphones into her ears and her phone back into her jacket pocket, she slowly started to walk in the general direction of the food court. She was hesitant to go into the food court itself, she imagined the smell of McDonalds and KFC would only frustrated her and make her anxious again. So she stayed towards the edges of the numerous restaurants and fast food areas, walking around the fabric barriers that separated themselves from the rest of the mall. Hana could feel herself getting stressed out, she paced back and forth. Had Lee got the wrong mall when he told her about the coffee shop?

Hana made a quick decision to get a coffee from one of the fast food places, she picked KFC; she hated chicken and so opted for some fries and her drink. After paying for it and collecting it from the little side counter, she found herself a seat and poked at her fries. Hana's phone buzzed, it was an update from one of her many social media accounts. Ignoring the notification, Hana sat flicking through the large selection of music and occasionally taking sips of her coffee.

I wonder if anyone from last night is here.

Jungwoo Han.

Age:

18.

Gender:

Male.

Sexuality:

Homosexual.

Group:

White Tigers – Second in Command.

htbv4p.jpg

ad15x4.jpg

Appearance
Eye Colour:

Dark brown, almost black.

Hair Colour:

Chocolate brown.

Height:

178cm.

Weight:

70kg.

Clothes Style:

Jungwoo likes to wear stylish clothes who sit comfortable as well. You could see him walking around with a white shirt and black skinny jeans matched up with combat boots or sneakers. Other times you could see him wearing a loose shirt, a blazer, shorts and boat shoes. It depends on how he feels that day and what weather it is. You would only see him wearing a training suit when he is exercising for a dance routine and even then, he still tries to put his effort in it being presentable to the people around him.

Personality
Positive Traits:

+ Optimistic and Energetic.

He is usually up to his elbows in some project or something else. Cheerful and good-natured, he rarely gets stressed out, preferring to go with the flow.

+ Creative and Practical.

He is very imaginative when it comes to practical things, mechanics, and crafts. Novel ideas come easily, and he loves using his hands to put them into action.

+ Spontaneous and Rational.

Combining spontaneity with logic, he can switch mind-sets to fit new situations with little effort, making him a flexible and versatile individual.

+ Knows how to Prioritize.

This flexibility comes with some unpredictability, but he is able to store his spontaneity for a rainy day, releasing his energy just when it’s needed most.

+ Great in a Crisis.

With all his hands-on creativity and spontaneity, it’s no wonder that he is a natural in crisis situations. He usually enjoys a little physical risk, and he isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty when the situation calls for it.

+ Relaxed.

Through all this, he is able to stay quite relaxed. He lives in the moment and goes with the flow, refusing to worry too much about the future.

Negative Traits:

- Stubborn.

As easily as he goes with the flow, he can also ignore it entirely, and usually moves in another direction with little apology or sensitivity. If someone tries to change his habits, lifestyle or ideas through criticism, he can become quite blunt in his irritation.

- Insensitive.

He uses logic, and even when he tries to meet others halfway with empathy and emotional sensitivity, it rarely seems to quite come out right, if anything is even said at all.

- Private and Reserved.

He is notoriously difficult to get to know. He is a true introvert, keeping his personal matters to himself, and often just prefers silence to small talk.

- Easily Bored.

He enjoys novelty, which makes him an excellent tinker, but much less reliable when it comes to focusing on things long-term. Once something is understood, he tends to simply move on to something new and more interesting.

- Dislikes Commitment.

Long-term commitments are particularly onerous for him. He prefers to take things day-by-day, and the feeling of being locked into something for a long time is downright oppressive. This can be a particular challenge in his romantic relationships.

- Risky Behaviour.

This stubbornness, difficulty with others’ emotions, focus on the moment, and easy boredom can lead to unnecessary and unhelpful boundary-pushing, just for fun. He has been known to escalate conflict and danger just to see where it goes, something that can have disastrous consequences for everyone around if he loses control of the situation.

History
When was he born?

He was born on the tenth of August. He had been born and raised in Seoul as it was close to his parents work. It was troublesome to go live in a more calm city for them so they just stayed there, only moving to another (bigger) house so they could live more easily with each other and not be cramped into one tiny place.

Who are his parents?

Yusang Han is his father, a 45 year old man who is working in quite the well-known company. He is the vice president of a popular gaming company, one that is in the top three of this industry.

Seongyoun Han is his mother, a 42 year old woman. She is a make-up artist for musical actors and actresses. Because of this, it is not unusual for her to not be home for a couple of weeks whenever the musical she is working for then goes on tour.

Why does he attend sevit?

He attends sevit because his parents wanted him to do so. It was not exactly his choice, but it was the best he could do since he did not feel like going to any high school as it meant he would need to focus on his studies again. It was better to just get through this and because the school was quite famous for being prestigious, it would also be nice to put that on his cv for when he would look for a job.

Any traumatizing events that happened in his life?

He did not exactly have any traumatizing events that happened in his life. He had just been going through life day by day and made the best out of it. However there do have been some events that were not as pleasant for him but not as to say that it was actually traumatizing.

What would he want to change?

He would like to change his home situation as his father’s expectations are only getting bigger with the week that passes, it gets more and more difficult for Jungwoo to keep up with them. Because of this he could overwork himself at times to the point of fainting on the spot.

What would he like to do but can’t?

Go travelling around the world. He would really like to explore several countries and get to know their culture however his father wants him to succeed the company despite Jungwoo not having interest in doing that at all.

Relationships
Family:

> Yusang Han – Father – 45. They don’t exactly have a good relationship as Yusang always wants more of his son than he can give. Because of this, Jungwoo can become quite stressed out which is not exactly in his nature. His father just makes him like that.

> Seongyoun Han – Mother – 42. Jungwoo has a more normal relationship with his mother. They are friends with each other and they could talk about things that he could not do with his father. However because his mother is not always home, they’ve grown apart a little.

Akito listened intently towards the words that came out of the mouth of the principal. They were fierce indeed and somewhat scary as this camp could mean the end of him completely if he did not make it through it. It was also the fact that if he slacked off even once, he could be expelled immediately and who knew what his parents were going to do after that. Well, maybe he could find another job aside from the culinary industry but that was something that he did not want to think about at all. Something that he wanted to avoid at all cost.

It had not been long since he was in this school either and he already had to go on a training camp which seemed to be fun but he knew the truth behind from the second and third years. It was completely different than one would imagine and now this had been stated true by the principal himself.

Once the speakers were done, he made his way into the classroom where the teacher was at. The male stated his name, which was Yochi Naitomea. A name that was well-known in this business, someone he should not mess around with. He could get the chills from only thinking about the possibility of doing something wrong and the consequences of it. Mostly the ones who seemed the most innocent were the ones you needed to be most aware off.

He calmed himself down however as he did not want to freak out about nothing. He only needed to prove himself, he needed the proof that he was actually a pretty good chef and not some fake person who managed to stay in this school with sheer luck. Standing behind one of the working tables as he awaited for further instructions from the chef.

He can seem vain because of his want to always look good and his seemingly endless confidence but his confidence is merely a façade used to hide his flaws.

Bora absolutely loves dancing and singing , he would dance anywhere and everywhere with or without music. He hates not being able to dance , his way of releasing stress that is product of constant war to stay high up on the academic level.

Bora doesn't not get angry easily but his constant use of sarcasm sometimes makes it seems like he is angry. In his words ' Am I supposed to hold back this witty and sassy comment because you are way too emotional or offensive.' When he does finally lose his temper he will instantly want to break the person who angered him's bones , he does care if he hurts someone badly as long as they don't die or have a life threatening injury. In short don't piss him off or else you'll get yourself pushed down the stairs.

Kyoko tried his best to help get people out of the village. His legs ached as he ran until he saw a child right in the wall of one of the titans. Kyoko's eyes dilated and his mind went blank as Hiro was grabbed by the giant creature. " N.....o " Was all he managed to get out as Hiro smiled down at him. " I love you. Kyoko's were lifeless, his hair was a absolute mess while his clothes were tattered and his feet were bruised from running none stop. The once happy boy was seemingly gone.

GROUP: White Tigers, Clueless Best Friend

Personality
tumblr_nnal7fbEwf1ut5q2ro5_r1_250.gif

There is only one word that people think of when they think of Hyo Ri; simpleminded. She is pretty much regarded as the dumb pretty girl stereotype. She is also known to be an airhead. Around 75% of what she says are completely random and ridiculous. She often confuses people because she shortens a lot of her sentences for her own convenience. She even messes up her grammar sometimes. There are times where Hyo Ri will even start speaking in third person. Hyo Ri is just an eccentric girl who isn’t afraid to put herself out there. If she wants to be silly, she will and doesn’t care that people are watching her. She often uses hand gestures and body language to help express her emotions, but most of the time, they become over exaggerated. She doesn’t get embarrassed easily, but people tend to get secondhand embarrassment from her.

Want to know something else? She's honestly just a curious little bug. Hyo Ri can ask the most randomest of questions that pop into her head. She likes exploring the what ifs and you don’t really have to answer her seriously all the time. One of her most common question is ‘Can I eat that?’ Yes, I know, that’s a little strange, but that is her go-to line when someone is talking to her about something she knows nothing about. A variation of that question is ‘What’s that? Is it something I can eat?’ Hyo Ri doesn’t even know much slang, so if you try to use street slang with her, you’re going to get a very confused Hyo Ri.

Just looking at how Hyo Ri acts regularly, the other students don’t understand why she is in the White Tigers. Of course she has good grades and so she is part of the group, but her personality just doesn’t show that she has the intelligence. What her classmates doesn’t know is that Hyo Ri spends a lot of her free time at home and on the weekends studying to keep her grades up. She is diligent when it comes to her academics and always makes time for it. She’ll stay up all night if she has to. Hyo Ri is good at organizing and scheduling her time well. She often spaces out in class and has even been caught sleeping a few times. She tends to space out because once she thinks of a story, she tends to play out the plot through her head, causing her to space out and not pay attention to anything around her. Once she’s in her author mode, it’s hard to get her out of it. Especially when she’s writing. Having such an active imagination has given her a job as a popular author, but that same imagination causes her to have some problems differentiating fantasy from reality.

Hyo Ri constantly believes that there is a happy ending to every story. This is where her naivety comes into play. She believes that no matter how bad things get, it can get better if you try to make it better. No matter how terrible her life is, which it is, she will endure it and eventually get her happy ending, just like in her own books. This is probably where you think that Hyo Ri is just a simple and naive girl, but there is much more to her than she leads everyone on. Her optimism on life isn’t really to make other people feel better. She stays optimistic so that she herself doesn’t break down. Deep down inside, she battles her own demons and uses positive thinking to drive them away. She doesn’t show it, or tell anyone about it, but she often contemplates about ending her own life. She thinks how relaxing it would be to just end it all, but she never attempts to do it because she doesn’t want to feel pain and she was afraid of death. How ironic huh? She thinks about ending her life, but she’s afraid to die.

Hyo Ri often bottles up her emotions, well, only the negative ones. She believes that people like her outgoing self, and so she only shows that side of her. There was like a dam that held back her negative emotions and at this point in her life, she was holding back so much for so long. She’s afraid of what she might do or become if the dam were to break. It has already become a habit for her to bottle up her negative emotions and she feels that even if she did try to vent, no one would understand her feelings. She no longer thinks there is a point for her to express those negative thoughts of hers. If she were to vent, she would do it where no one could see, hear, or bother her. Venting her feelings out from time to time really does help her drive the negative thoughts away.

Another thing about Hyo Ri is that she’s a pushover. Like seriously, this girl can’t say no to save her life. Hyo Ri does care a lot about her family and her friends, and would do anything for them to be happy, but it goes even further than that. She wants to get along with everybody and be well-liked so she pretty much tries to agree with everybody. If you ask her to do something for you, she’ll most likely do it. Of course she has her limits, but Hyo Ri has yet to come across a request that she just can’t accept. This leads to her being a hypocrite sometimes. Well what can you expect from Hyo Ri when she was pretty much raised to do as she was told by her family or face the consequences? She pretty much integrated that into her social relationships. This need to get along with everybody also comes from the fact that she has a strong fear of being alone. She absolutely hates it. She tries to get along with everyone so that she doesn’t risk becoming alone. Although it doesn’t occur to her that her hypocritical ways of trying to get along with everyone, makes her lose friends rather than keep them.

History
tumblr_ngunvhU3T51s52tx6o1_500.gif

Hyo Ri was born in the cold winter of December 2nd. She was born into a wealthy family. Both her parents owned their own companies respectively and she had the ‘perfect’ older sister. I guess you could say it was a pretty good setup for Hyo Ri. Her father, Chae Jeong-su, came from a prestigious family and lived his whole life in comfort. He inherited his uncle’s travelling agency and turned it into the must go place to plan any trip whatsoever. Jeong-su has never felt any struggle in his life and everything was handed to him on a silver platter. He does not understand or have empathy towards those with unfortunate situations. Hyo Ri’s mother, Chae Chan-mi, lived an opposite lifestyle to Jeong-su. Chan-mi was born into a lower middle class family and worked hard to get where she is today. She is now a proud owner of an international marketing and design company. Chan-mi always strive to be perfect and wanted her own children to be perfect as well. She believes that being perfect will make her and her family happy.

Jeong-su and Chan-mi were arranged married after they both graduated from college by their parents. It wasn’t too bad though. They both fell in love with each other within the first year of their marriage. I guess opposites attract. Not long after that they had their first child, Hye Rim. Chan-mi took a break from work to raise Hye Rim to become the perfect daughter and Hye Rim did turn out to be as perfect as Chan-mi hoped; however, there were some setbacks that Chan-mi knew and some she didn’t. Jeong-su did take time off work to help with raising Hye Rim and Hyo Ri, but it wasn’t as much as Chan-mi. He wasn’t around all that much and spent most of his time at work. Hye Rim was seven when Hyo Ri was born and at first Hye Rim was the greatest older sister anyone could ask for.

However, Hye Rim slowly started to change when she noticed their mother started treating Hyo Ri differently from her. The mistakes Chan-mi made with Hye Rim, she made sure she didn’t make them with Hyo Ri. Chan-mi was technically an experienced mother and wanted Hyo Ri to be just as perfect, if not more than Hye Rim was. As the years went by, Hyo Ri was given privileges that Hye Rim didn’t have, and Hyo Ri was starting to become seemingly better at everything Hye Rim did. Hyo Ri was like the golden child and learned everything very fast. Hye Rim became jealous of her golden little sister. Hyo Ri was outdid anything she ever did and got all the attention. Funny thing is Hyo Ri really looked up to Hye Rim as her older sister and thought of her as a role model. Hyo Ri wanted to do everything her amazing older sister did and often followed Hye Rim around like a little duckling.

When Hyo Ri was five, her mother left her alone with Hye Rim while she went to work for a couple of hours. As always Hyo Ri was following Hye Rim around the house and kept asking Hye Rim to play with her. They were on the second floor of their house and Hyo Ri was dragging Hye Rim to go play with her downstairs. The two were finally alone in the house and with Hyo Ri constant whining to play with her, Hye Rim snapped. As Hyo Ri was about to take the first step down the stairs, Hye Rim pushed her. The last thing Hyo Ri saw was of Hye Rim staring coldly down at her before blacking out.

Luckily for Hyo Ri she survived the fall, but at the cost of something else. She woke up in a hospital bed with her head bandaged up and a cast on one of her legs and one of her arms. On the side of her bed, she could see her crying family. In joy, they all hugged her, even Hye Rim. At first, Hyo Ri tried to get them to let go of her, finding the tight hug painful. She tried saying something, but couldn’t hear her words. In fact, she couldn’t hear anything. Hyo Ri could feel her mouth moving and she thought of the words in her head, but she couldn’t hear her voice come out. At that moment her doctor came in to break the news to her family. Due to the head trauma Hyo Ri suffered from the fall, she has Sensorineural hearing loss. Everyone was at a complete loss at what to do next and the doctor suggested that Hyo Ri should get a hearing aid. That way she will be able to hear again and that’s what her parents did.

While Hyo Ri was waiting for her hearing aids to come in, she was enrolled in a couple of therapy classes so that she could still learn despite being pretty much deaf. Once Hyo Ri received her hearing aid, she felt extreme happiness to be able to hear again. In the week she had to go without hearing, it took her a few days to find her voice again. She remembered that Hye Rim pushed her down the stairs, but her older sister acted no different. Hyo Ri tried to tell her mother what had happened, but she didn’t believe her and even grounded Hyo Ri for making up such a lie. It turns out Hye Rim told their parents that Hyo Ri tripped and fell down the stairs. Hyo Ri constantly tried to tell them the truth, but they just wouldn’t believe her.

After a couple years of trying, and a bunch of punishment grounding later, Hyo Ri basically gave up trying. There was no longer a point in trying. Basically at that point, her parents no longer believed anything she says anymore and taking the words of Hye Rim as the truth. With a new sense of power, Hye Rim often abuses it and tell things about Hyo Ri to their parents, none of which were true. Hyo Ri became the golden child to the disappointing daughter even though she didn’t do anything wrong. Hye Rim admired her new found acting skills and decided that she wanted to be an actress since she was so good at it.

Unlike her mother, their father was still nice to Hyo Ri and cared for her. Hyo Ri often took refuge in him from Hye Rim and her mother, but when she turned ten, she saw his true colors come out. Chan-mi and Jeong-su had gotten into a big fight that lasted for weeks and Hyo Ri happened to overhear their heated conversation. They were fighting about her and she almost started to cry when she heard her father shouting how much of disappointment and a horrible child he thought she was just like her mother did. At that point Hyo Ri didn’t know what to believe anymore and decided to take new refuge in her fairy tale books. She didn’t confront her father about what he said, afraid that the magic would wear off if she told him she knew how he really felt about her. Hyo Ri couldn’t take two faces of disappointed parents.

Throughout the years, Hyo Ri tried to be useful to her family and tried not to see her parents disappointed faces. She worked herself to the bone to become worthy of her mother’s love and affection again and did anything Hye Rim asked of her. Hye Rim had spent her time trying to live as the perfect daughter and it brought her a lot of stress. Most of the time, she would take her stress out on Hyo Ri, that’s why Hyo Ri did everything she was asked to do. She was afraid of her older sister's wrath. Hyo Ri has the right to be afraid. When Hyo Ri was in elementary school, to blow off steam, Hye Rim would take Hyo Ri’s hearing aids and then locked her in a dark closet for hours. She lives with her motto that as long as she is obedient, she will not get hurt. Just picture Hyo Ri as Cinderella, and Hye Rim as the evil stepmother and stepsisters combined.

Hyo Ri first got introduced into her current job, when a publishing company wanted to serialize and print one of Hyo Ri’s short online stories. During her free time, she liked to write down the stories she had created in her head during the day. She had fun creating the plot and characters and living her life through them while she was writing. With only a small amount of stories posted online, she had become a popular online writer and the publishing company wanted to sign her as an author under them. Being only a third year middle schooler, she had to get permission from her parents. After a little bit of persuading, Hyo Ri was able to live her realized dream of being an author on the condition that she would be enrolled in Sevit Academy and must stay in the top 5%. To this day, Hyo Ri still can’t believe she is able to live her dream of being an author, but she doesn’t know how long it’s going to last. Knowing her mother, she wouldn’t just easily let Hyo Ri become a full-time author and write for a living, no matter how popular and how much money Hyo Ri is making right now off her books.

FAMILY:

Chae Jeong-su || Hyo Ri still loves her father and cares for him very much. He is barely ever home nowadays, but she cherishes the little time she has with him. He is always very nice to her, but Hyo Ri doesn’t believe a single word he says anymore. She used to think that at least he believed her words over Hye Rim’s, unlike her mother, but the truth was that he believed Hye Rim’s words. In multiple fights with her mother, Jeong-su had time and time again mentioned that Hyo Ri was just a troubled child. He was told that he has to treat her with kindness or else she will lash out. She doesn’t try to confront him about this. Hyo Ri would much rather have the fake kindness over another disappointed parent.

Chae Chan-mi || Hyo Ri would be half lying when she says she loves her mother. She is conflicted because she is told by society that Chan-mi is her mother and so she has to love her, but why does Hyo Ri have to love Chan-mi when she never believes a word Hyo Ri says. Chan-mi constantly sighs whenever she looks at Hyo Ri and is always disappointed in whatever she does. Hyo Ri hates it when her mother picks at everything she does. She always finds a way to make Hyo Ri feel bad about herself. No matter how much Hyo Ri has accomplished, her mother will always pick out the things she did wrong or her faults. She never gives Hyo Ri praise, even when she deserves it. Hyo Ri tries to avoid her mother as much as possible.

Chae Hye Rim || Hyo Ri is absolutely terrified of her older sister. She was scarred because of so many things Hye Rim has did to her. It has been engraved into her mind to fear Hye Rim and to do whatever she says. Hye Rim is 24 and should be a mature adult right? She should have moved on from all of this right? Wrong. Just like when they were children, Hye Rim still takes her stress from being the perfect daughter on Hyo Ri in multiple forms. She relaxes by using Hyo Ri’s fear of her to get Hyo Ri to do whatever she wanted. She even threatens and blackmails Hyo Ri, when she already has so much power over her. Hye Rim doesn’t make Hyo Ri do anything extreme, but that doesn’t really justify the things she does do to Hyo Ri. She is now the golden child, so Hyo Ri tries to stay on her good side.

Friday Night Lights

Elizabeth was extremely worried that Jake was going to drop Stefani and not long after completing her flip routine, her fears had came to life. As her heart jumped out of her chest, she could see their co-captain, Stefani, falling to the ground. Soon after Stefani's impact, Elizabeth abandoned her pom poms and ran to the large crowd that already gathered around her. Pushing her way through the circle of students, she was able to make it through in time to see Audric pick Stefani up and take her away, Vanna following soon after. Although she heard Vanna say they were having practice the rest of the day, it felt like it went through one ear and out the other. She couldn't believe an accident happened during their first pep rally and it happened to their co-captain. She always thought, if anything, she would be the one to get hurt because of her flip routines. Stefani was being lifted into the air and that has it's dangers as well, but Jake never dropped anyone, well, at least until now. While the students dispersed and payed attention to Gwynn, Elizabeth continued to stand still, completely frozen because of the accident. She didn't snap out of it until Briar came onto the mic to say that they would have practice the rest of the day and to go get changed. She no longer had her fake smile on and as she walked towards the locker room, she took a glance towards Briar, taking notice that she wasn't heading to the locker rooms. Elizabeth almost gagged when Briar kissed their quarterback Corbin.

Walking into the locker rooms, she could already feel her frustration building up. Sitting on the benches, she grabbed her phone alongside her practice uniform and noticed she had gotten a text message. 'I'll pick up the kids today' the message read and the sender was her uncle. Elizabeth typed and sent a quick 'Thanks' before putting her phone back into her bag. To make things easier for her to change, Elizabeth took off her shoes and at this point her frustration was at its boiling point. She had already took off her left shoe, and putting it on the floor. After taking off her right shoe, Elizabeth continued to hold onto it and gripped it tightly. She suddenly raised her shoe into the air and slammed it harshly onto the floor, letting out all her frustrations and stress through the throw. She was panting a little as she went to get her shoe. Picking it up, she placed it next to her other shoe and quickly got changed. 'Uncle is right. I should try to find other ways to deal with my anger and stress rather than taking it out on inanimate objects.' she thought while fixing her ponytail.

After she finished getting changed, she walked out of the locker rooms, only to sigh in annoyance to see the crowds of people in the hallway. Elizabeth walked towards the boys locker room and waited outside the entrance, which also counted as an exit. She had seen Jake went towards the guys locker room not long after Stefani fell and she assumed he doesn't know that we had practice. She had waited there hoping he would come out through those doors so she could tell him that the cheerleaders had practice. It's his choice whether or not he wanted to go, but Elizabeth just wanted to at least let him know that there was a choice. As she waited, and students continued to pass her in groups, towards the exit. She could see the looks on their faces and she didn't like it; they were looks of pity. Elizabeth could hear pretty much what they were trying to say too. It consisted of 'he was bound to drop someone.' and even worse a group who was standing across from her were saying stuff like 'I'm so disappointed.' She couldn't believe her ears. The same students that originally ridiculed Jake for being a cheerleader were disappointed that he didn't do well as one. They even had the nerve to then laugh as they started making up reasons why Jake messed up. Elizabeth couldn't take it anymore and yelled out "Stop talking shit about something you know nothing about. So shut the fuck up and go home." As soon as she screamed that out, the group looked at her in fear as she glared at them and they ran away. When she had yelled that out, the rest of the students that were in the hallway were much quicker to leave, not wanting to face Elizabeth's wrath.

?Personality?

Quiet , serious , stuck up and bitchy are traits that people who don't know Jihye will describe her as. She acts rude to people who bother her or attempt to talk. But this is a act , walls she built for people to avoid and not get her emotionally attached. Jihye dislikes social interaction and would gladly take her subjects online if she could so she would be able to stay in the comfort of her bed. Anyone who can break down Jihye's walls would find a selfless , intelligent, cheerful , sweet , funny and somewhat airheaded girl with a passion for dance. She would be one of the most loyal and protective friends you could ever wish for.

She is confident in her abilities and looks as well as her intelligence but it can come off as if she is vain and stuck up even when is trying to be.

Jihye doesn't trust easily and its hard to get her to trust you. These trust issues developed because of her past.

Jihye has a dislike for her former best friend Bora , with who she shares the same passion for dancing and methods of releasing stress, after he left dance studio as well as not standing up to his cruel mother.

Jihye doesn't get angry easy and when she does , she doesn't use force and uses her intelligence to belittle and take away the other person's will to fight with her words. She can easily manipulate others when in this state except for people who knew when she was younger.

Biography

tumblr_inline_o085kaEUTq1slg7m6_500.gif

Dance. That was something that had been Jihye's life ever since she was baby. Her mother was lead dancer on the swan lake and her father was a very famous choreographer. They met after Jihye's father was hired as choreographer to teach Swan Lake to the dancer. The beautiful woman who danced with grace and elegance akin to swan had instantly caught the man's attention ,leaving him oblivious to the woman in the thick frame glasses and over sized sweat shirt and pants. On the day of the big show , Jihye's father finally noticed the shy woman with the glass , the way she moved as if she was one with the music. The way she looked so happy even though she wasn't in front in the lime light. Needless to say many others noticed the women's grace and she soon was placed in front the new star of the show.

After a few dates and a couple of phone calls , the two fell helpless in love. A love that brought a baby in the world , Jihye. Jihye had been introduced to dance at a very young age , her parents inciting their love of dance into her at a early age. Jihye soon joined her father's studio when she was 2.

Jihye was never good with social interaction because of the kids in class. They only wanted to talk to her because of her parents, this caused to start thinking everyone her age were fake and didn't want to be friends with causing her slowly start building her walls. But the walls construction was halted when a boy her age joined the studio. The boy was shy and hardly ever talked so one day went to talk to him and her friendship with the boy named Bora blossomed.

They inseparable within a matter of days , even making a promise they would always be together even with Bora saying ' When we marry our husbands let's have a double wedding. " Only for Jihye to continue by adding. " Heck , lets have our graves next to each other' . But their friendship soon ended. When Bora left the dance studio , Jihye was furious. She had known about how her former friend's mother treated him and that caused Jihye to boil with anger. Jihye always told him to stand up for himself but he never did. This caused her to feel betrayed and her walls were built.

Jihye became more antisocial than ever , immersing herself in her studies. Only one thought was on her mind, it was to enroll in Sevit Academy, get into a good college so she could get her dancing degree and become a world famous dancing akin to the likes of her parents and beyond. Over time Bora was locked in the back of her mind , the pain of losing her first real friend had faded until now.

When Jihye had enrolled in Sevit Academy , she was content with the whole thing until she noticed a particularly familiar face. Instantly she and her friend turned enemies were at each other so throats.

Relationships

  • Kim , Fei (Mother)- Jihye absolutely adores her mother , seeing her as the perfect human being because of the woman's gentle kids ways and her beauty.
  • Kim , Hosaek (Father)- Jihye's father treats her like a princess but he is more strict between his wife and him. Jihye loves her dad greatly.
  • Mangyeol , Bora(Best friend turned enemy)- Bora and Jihye were once like twins , eventually close to each other and knew eachother's every secret. This bond however was broken once Bora left the dance studio , leaving a sad Jihye who felt betrayed.

Kyoko walked down the road at leisurely pace with a smile gracing his beautiful face , his long blonde which was pulled into a high pony bounced as he walked. He had just finished help a elderly woman cook food and was now heading to the market to get food to eat. As he walked he registered the rumbling in the ground , a sense of foreboding rested on the shoulders making him stop and look around. It seemed as though no one cared as they continued their business or briefly stop to wave at him promptly him to wave back with a smile albeit slightly forced.

He took a deep breath , trying to shrug off the nervousness he was feeling before he began walking again. Once he arrived in the market he was greeted by everyone , adults waved at him and children begged him play which politely declined. He given a free items before he bought everything he would need for dinner , soon waving goodbye and leaving the area to go to his home.

As he arrived at the door he felt a strong arms wrap around his waist from behind and a chest pressing against his back causing him to scream out and drop his bag as deep laugh sound right by his ear. " Kyoko , not only do you look like a girl you scream like one too. " The familiar deep voice said as the arms let go of Kyoko letting the man turn to see a tall muscular male teen who seemed to be two or three years older than Kyoko.

" Shut up Hiro. " Kyoko growled as he glared at the boy named Hiro but there was small smile on his face showing he wasn't really mad. Hiro laughed loudly before walking into the house followed by Kyoko. " You act as though this is your house. " Kyoko said as he placed the bag on the table while Hiro sat down. " We've known each since we were toddlers , we practically live with in each other's houses. " Hiro said making Kyoko sigh. " You are like the village's child , hence that name of yours Mr. Child of the city. " Hiro said using Kyoko's nick name.

Kyoko rolled his eyes and walked into the kitchen Hiro followed him. " You making food , good wifey . " Hiro teased before dodging a spoon aimed his head. " Woo there lady. " Hiro said this time nearly getting a pot to the head. " So violent. " He said making Kyoko huff before he felt the rumbling getting louder and louder , the sense of foreboding coming back .

Kyoko and Hiro ran outside and were shocked at the sight in front of them. " Oh no. " Hiro said as Kyoko was silent staring in shock before reality hit him. " Everyone. " He muttered before he bursted off , his sole intention to get everyone out of the village. He registered Hiro's screams for him to come back but he ignored them , he loves this village and everyone in it and he'll be damned if he didn't save them.

WRITING SAMPLE

He woke in a daze. Light, muted by the cover of blue curtains shimmered at the corners of his vision, though it did little to light up the room. His limbs ached as if he'd been running all night, and the small vestiges of light that made their way through the curtains were enough to burn at his already light-sensitive vision. Wiping at his eyes hastily, Lucas sat up with much effort, and felt the room spin, this stress accompanied by a brain-scrambling headache.

First Impressions

Eye Color - very dark brown

Hair Color - whichever color she feels like dying it but it is naturally black

Height: - “5 ‘2

Weight - 95 pounds

Complexion - pale

Distinguishing Marks/Tattoos - has various scars from fights she has been in (mostly on her arms & legs)

Usual Attire: Chan-mi likes to keep her clothing modest and simple though that’s not to say she doesn’t like to dress feminine. She prefers sweaters in pastel colors paired with skirts or jeans, depending on the weather. Dresses, however, are her favorite to sport though they must be at least half-sleeves. Chan-mi is very self-conscious of the scars on her left arm as they’re pretty nasty. It’s mostly the reason why she wears baggy sweaters or sweatshirts besides the comfort factor. And she admittedly looks adorable in loose clothing due to her small stature.

Hair-wise, Chan-mi doesn’t really do much… Dyeing or curling it is usually as far as she’ll go unless she wants to impress somebody. The same goes for makeup. She doesn't like people who wear so much that you can't tell if they're truly pretty or not, therefore, the most she'll do is eyeliner, lipstick and maybe some blush.

Getting Personal

Personality -- When people think of Chan-mi, they think cute, innocent little Mimi. It’s accurate… to an extent. She's a bit shy at first, especially around men, but once you get to know her she’s the fun-loving girl that she wants you to know her as. If she likes you, you'll see the Chan-mi that acts like a cartoon. She’s bubbly to the point of being hyper, easy to laugh and not afraid to fly her freak flag. Most people bring her along because she can make any situation a fun one. You know, the girl who really has no substance but she makes you laugh and knows how to have fun? That’s Chan-mi when she’s trying to get you to be her friend. If Chan-mi happens to not like you… Well, she certainly isn’t fake about it though she isn’t mean about it either. You just won’t see much of her and she won't show off for you.

However, Chan-mi isn’t all rainbows and giggles. She's fiercely loyal to those whom she trusts or loves and if you threaten those people in any way you better watch out. Chan-mi fights like a street cat. Underestimating her is probably the worst mistake you'll ever make. She's also extremely defensive so if she herself feels threatened, she's plain dangerous. She can be a bit of a thug when she's upset, saying nasty things she doesn’t really mean and… well… beating the shit out of people but if you stay on her good side, Chan-mi truly is a sweetheart.

Chan-mi is a fierce girl outside just her aggression towards others. Whenever she does something, be it her passion, dancing, or helping you with your homework, she fully dedicates herself to the task. Chan-mi likes to say she doesn't know failure therefore, when she decides to do something, she becomes obsessed with it. Most of the time she'll need someone to step in and tell her to chill otherwise she'll wear herself out to the point of exhaustion. This kind of fierceness is also the main reason why Chan-mi gets her heart broken. Once she trusts you, she trusts you wholly and expects your loyalty in return. She gets it in her head that that person will never betray or hurt her. Everyone knows this is certainly not reality but it’s what Chan-mi believes even though she's been hurt before. However, when she does trust you, you’ll see the true Chan-mi.

There’s much more to Chan-mi than the ditsy, cartoony front she puts up but only those closest to her will see that side of her. Truly, Chan-mi is a laid-back girl with a witty sense of humor and is actually quite intelligent. She enjoys simply talking with anyone willing to have a conversation. As long as you pay attention and listen, it doesn't matter who you are. She also likes relaxing almost to the point of being lazy. Acting a fool and entertaining others takes it toll on her both physically and mentally and when she's with her close friends, she just wants to chill. Cuddling is one of her favorite past times as well as laughing so if you’re a good cuddler and can make her laugh, you’ve won her heart. You'll have to work hard to see this side of Chan-mi as she doesn't trust easily but once she does trust you, you'll have a friend for life. Some pretty good indicators that she feels close to you are she'll drag you off when she's getting overwhelmed or emotionally tired for some one-on-one time, she'll tell you anything and I mean anything. Sometimes the things she tells you are things you never wanted to know but, hey, you've got yourself a great friend so deal with it. Also, she’ll ask you how your day was which is a question that she takes very seriously. Though people wouldn’t think much of it, it means Chan-mi cares about you because when she asks this, she wants to know
every detail – how you felt, what you did, what you ate. If your answer is a simple “good” it’s not acceptable and she will poke you until you answer to her standards. And, yes, literally poke you.

Likes - walks talking laughing cuddling music dancing genuine smiles making people laugh

Dislikes - fake people ignorance the dark being alone noise loud people being dirty failing

Hobbies - dancing writing song lyrics cooking reading listening to music

The Past

History - Chan-mi grew up a scared little girl. She was born to a bi-polar mother and business man father on the rainy day of May third that seemed to foreshadow her entire life. Her father never had time for her and to be honest, never wanted a child. Her mother on the other hand, thought Chan-mi was the answer to cure her depression. Meds didn't seem to be helping so why not have a baby? It made sense to her mother until Chan-mi cried for the first time. She quickly realized that her new daughter was a responsibility and she didn't do well with responsibilities. She turned to drugs and drinking when Chan-mi reached three years old to cope with the stress of having a young child. Then Chan-mi’s father returned home from a business trip. It wasn’t hard to see that his wife had wasted away while he was in Seoul. In fact, he came home when she was wasted and high on heroin. He was outraged to say the least and swiftly kicked out young Chan-mi and her mother.

Of course, Chan-mi doesn't remember her father now, just the fact that he sent her and her mother money from time to time. Sometimes he’d even send three hundred though it was never enough. Her mother promptly spent the money on drugs and alcohol and by the time Chan-mi was five they were living on the streets. It was then that she realized her life was far from normal. She saw other children playing with their parents in the park with clean clothing and actual meat on their bones. Chan-mi on the other hand, had shoes with holes and ribs that show through her skin like the bones of a ship. Those children didn't look scared either and Chan-mi was always scared. Her mother protected her from nothing. She couldn't in the state she was in. Therefore the five year old was basically alone in life.

When Chan-mi began school, she truly was alone. Her mother told her to stay at the corner while she went to buy liquor and never came back. Chan-mi stayed there well into the night, not wanting to believe that her mother had truly left her. When the sun began to rise, she broke into shoulder-shaking sobs. She had no one and her fear turned crippling. At school, she tried to make friends just to have someone. There was one girl named Eun-chae who took Chan-mi under her wing so to speak. She shared her lunches with her and took care of her, buying her clothes and things of that such. Soon the two were inseparable. Eun-chae didn't realize Chan-mi's clinginess as they were so close but once Chan-mi moved into her spare bedroom, it became pretty clear. Chan-mi was desperately scared to lose the one person who ever cared about her. She didn't realize what a pest she was being and Eun-chae didn't tell her either. In fact, she’s still like that today even after Eun-chae told her she needed to find somewhere else to live.

Chan-mi did the only thing she could think of doing. She contacted her father. Much to her surprise, he agreed to let her live with him after much convincing that she was nothing like her mother. So at the age of fourteen, she began living in the posh loft that was her father’s home. It was more like living with a business partner but Chan-mi was more than happy to be there. She had regular meals and clean clothes though nothing came easy. She got a job, low paying, but still a job and once she got her first paycheck, her father expected her to pay for her things including food. He also pushed her do something with her life. He gave her two choices: doctor or lawyer. Dancing had been her passion since she was twelve and neither of those choices were an option for her. It was the only thing she had ever fought her father on. Chan-mi told him that she wanted to attend Sevit academy and in response he told her that she needed to pay for it herself which he knew was impossible. That night, the weight of the world grew too heavy for Chan-mi's shoulders to carry. She cried in her room until she thought herself a pathetic loser for doing so. Crying would get her nowhere so she went to her father and showed him her talent. He must’ve been impressed because he agreed to send her to the academy though he told her if she fails, she’ll have to pay him back with interest.

River tapped her fingers against the cool glass of the cab window, peering out at the miserable sky. She had the hood of her batman sweatshirt up and her earbuds in, the melancholy voice of Lana Del Rey lulling her eyes to close halfway. If it wasn’t for the anxiety tightening her chest, she’d be asleep.

She honestly didn’t even know
why she was working herself into a panic. It wasn’t as if she hadn’t chosen to go to Wintercrest. Of course she had. River thought anyone in her situation, anyone who had made such a horrible mistake, would chose this: a change of scenery. Anything to get away. Portland just held too many bad memories.

River sat up straighter as the Wintercrest campus came into view. Even from afar the academy was gorgeous. It reminded her of the manors described in one of her English novels and River couldn’t help but gasp, despite her gloomy mood. She was certainly in England now.

The cab came to a stop and River gathered her rather meager belongings; a backpack stuffed with her art supplies and a duffel bag containing more books than clothes. She couldn’t exactly have many belongings considering the way she lived but River was quite content with what she had. It was all she needed in her opinion though she thought it would be interesting to see what the “prestigious kids of Wintercrest” packed. She supposed she was one of them now, though. River scrunched her nose at the thought as she climbed out of the cab and made her way through the grounds.

She kept her head down, her chin tucked into her oversized hoodie. The sky was darkening, ugly masses of black and slate grey clouds that made River quicken her pace but voices close-by made her stop and glance over.

There were three students, two of whom she didn’t recognize, but the third… River tilted her head. Something about the girl was startling familiar. It wasn’t her blonde hair or really even her face that jolted River into recognition but the way she was covered in mud. She’d always been covered in mud when they were younger.

“Lena?” she couldn’t help but say her best friend’s name. Ex-best friend, she reminded herself. Surely Lena wouldn’t want to be her friend or even acquainted with her after all the rotten things she had said and done. And then it began to rain. River almost laughed. Almost. It was like being in one of those drama movies where the couple did horrible things and then finally made up in the end and of course it was pouring rain for dramatic effect. Or maybe the world knew she couldn’t deal with this, not today, and the raindrops pelting her were tears. Either way, River knew she couldn’t stay here. So she bolted. She had no idea where she was going, just that she couldn’t be near the girl that she had hurt so badly.

TBD
