The young male made his way to the previously mentioned area in pure silence. The nagging feeling of his own incompetence had quickly dissipated after the mental fit that he had had just moments earlier. While he was a little unhappy that he would have to share the disappointing news of failure with his parents, he made a note to take the maze as a learning experience and was therefore, now fine with it. He stared through the small crowd of students that had gathered in the area. Ahead, a rather tired looking blonde began to speak. The pro hero, Ace. Manabu thought to himself, proceeding to blank out once the individual began talking. Although he didn't watch much television, he knew that this man was quite big in hero society. He was their new homeroom teacher? It seemed as if they were going through those like water...

At the mention of a tour, Manabu gained renewed interest into what their homeroom teacher was saying. Not knowing where everything was and just wandering around in hopes that someone would guide him to his destination was quite the pain, as he so unfortunately figured out this morning when he had first arrived. As the group walked, he made a permanent mental note as to where everything was, knowing that the knowledge would be extremely useful for the entirety of his time here.

After the group had stopped and Ace had finished talking, Manabu found himself standing just inside the door to the dorms, a little to the right as to not get in anyone's way. An intense growl emitted from his stomach area, probably loud enough for anyone near him to hear. Just as he was about to walk to the dining area to collect some sweet, sweet, pizza, he was approached by his new roommate.

"Matthew Pille." He said, begrudgingly stopping his dining room escapade. While he really wanted some pizza, he figured just walking away would be a rude start to their relationship. Although he wasn't a very considerate being, he didn't want his living area to be corrupted by a tense relationship with his roommate. "What a coincidence that we've become roommates." While it definitely wasn't the most optimal living arrangement, seeing as Manabu wasn't happy with how he had performed in front of the blonde in the maze, and the fact that Matt's friendliness made him slightly uncomfortable, it would do, for now. Perhaps the overly friendly individual would teach him about those video games that he and Emvi were talking about earlier.

The young teen stood silently for a moment as he thought of a way to approach a conversation. Ace had said to get to know your roommate...but he had never really done that before. "I guess we should start by...asking each-other about things we like?" He said awkwardly. Another growl rang out as Manabu looked towards the dining area. "Do you...like pizza?"

Elena continued to stand outside in the meeting area waiting for the rest of the students to gather around. She happily smiled as she continued to hold her hands behind her back, rocking back and forward on her heels as she watched the others come outside. Elena happily followed the teacher and the other students as they are shown around. Noting all the things he had to say though her attention was mostly focused on the scenery around her.

Elena stood up on her tippy toes trying to figure out who her roommate was going to be when the names were being called out. When the names were called out she noted that she would have two roommates, Tokihana Ellion and Aruka Datsukaeru. She only thought they would be getting one roommate, but it seemed a few of them would be rooming with two people. She did not mind having to share as she grew up sharing a home with three older brothers. After asking around one of her classmates pointed out to where her two roommates were. With a smile she happily made her way over to them, skipping her way over. She stopped behind them and gently tapped both of their shoulders, smiling as they turn around to face her. “Hiya!” she said happily waving both of her hands “I'm Elena Marina Willis, I'm very excited to meet you both”

Mathew looked at his new roommate remembering him from the maze. He helped him out by holding the doors open with him. Matt smiled as his new roommate said his name. "What a coincidence that we've become roommates." Matt's smile stayed shining as he responded "It's a pretty big coincidence but I'm happy it's with someone I knew." Matt wasn't lying but he also would have been happy with someone new so he could get to know everyone. Matt wanted to talk about something but he remembered that Manabu wasn't totally caught up on... everything? Matt recalled when Manabu was asked about video games and he had no clue what they were talking about. They stood there in awkward silence for a moment.

Luckily Manabu broke the silence, though he broke it with the obvious. "I guess we should start by...asking each-other about things we like?" Matt's expression lightened again as he was excited to learn more about his roommate. Matt was going to ask a question when he was inturupted by an earthquake sounding rumble of Manabu's stomach. Manabu then asked "Do you...like pizza?" Matt chuckled lightly as threw his arm around Manabu "I love pizza, they got my favorite too, pepperoni." He laughed as patted Manabu's back and pulled out his phone.

Matt pulled up Biveo and looked up a pro HHR video. "So this is a video game called Hyper Hero Rumble, you play as pro hero's and the objective is to get the other hero to zero health..." He explained the plot of the games and how to play as they walked over to the pizza table. He paused the video as they grabbed there plates and pizza and walked with Manabu keeping an eye out for Emvi or Kimi. Matt wanted to talk and get to know Manabu but he also wanted to hangout with Emvi and talk to Kimi to apologize and make sure she was okay.

Oh, no no no. This was definitely the worst possible outcome. Even worse than the maze incident. Of all the girls in the class, what was the chance that her 'junior' would end up being her roommate. It had to be one in a million. Well, it was probably closer to one in ten, but...

But. Still. this was definitely unfair. Karma worked way too quickly nowadays. Did it not have any hobbies?

Egh. How was she supposed to get out of this? A mental slurry of lies, er, cover-ups was already flowing through her mind. Held back a year. A first-week-live-in-plan. An article on the life of first years. Maybe that could be a tradition. The school board could have started it to... Get a gauge on the students' first impressions. Or, maybe, she could try to flatter her and say that she'd be learning about the most promising student in the class.

Man, this really was going to be hard to pull off. The chances of her not blowing it might have actually been one in a million. Unless Emvi was dumber than she looked, at least.

Especially since the proper answer of just coming clean hadn't occurred to her even once.

"Okay, okay, okay..." Muttering under her voice, Stella could feel something coming together. It wasn't like she had to deal with this right away, despite the unfortunate pairings. If she went and hid in the bathrooms until the next class, she'd definitely have a good chunk of time to think things out. Great plan. Or at least it would have been, if all that running around in the maze hadn't gotten her hungry. Really hungry. Was this what she got for skipping breakfast? This was a harsh first day. But, regardless of the difficulty, her stomach was definitely the boss of her right now, so she resolved with a compromise. Grab something to eat, and then go hide outside somewhere.

Operation Primary School.

Taking very special care to avoid her new roommate, Stella made her way to her new dorms as quickly as she could. They really were impressive. Bigger, newer, and waayyy better kempt than her parents' ratty old building. It almost made her feel uncomfortable, but she was neither here to gawk nor complain. She was here to connive. Making as short an appearance as she could, Stella swept through the kitchen in a paper plate in hand, and her eyes darting across the pizza boxes at maximum speed. Pineapple spotted. Extraction started. Three pieces attained.

And then, right back out the door. Their classroom should be empty right about now.

ClaudiaRebecca Black. Who the heck was that? It didn't matter, for now. Claudia didn't feel hungry. She rubbed the scars on her arms, and stepped out of the communal space, heading straight for the dorms instead, alone. She had always stood alone, walked every path alone. Anyone she fought for before she came to Whitegate were always behind her. Did any of these people have to stand behind her? Did they need her protection? Probably not. They were hero aspirants, each and every one of them. Perhaps she ought to give them their own space to grow, give them the benefit of the doubt. She clenched her fists, and hardened her resolve. No doubt, her heart and will would be tested against the others here. She couldn't afford to lose sight of the justice that she sought, and she couldn't let these people drag her down. She had to get better. To have fallen like that, even if she didn’t remember what ‘that’ was, was a sign of her weakness. Her hand subconsciously reached for her scars, running her fingers across the red lines that coursed through her arms. Her muscles tensed, and her face contorted into one of anger. Damn it all.

She reached her room, which was the first one in the hallway. A blessing, and a curse. This meant that the traffic was heavy here, and there was a chance she’d be constantly distracted by the sounds of tromping feet. She scowled and slid the key into the door, and turned the door knob, passing the threshold into a sizable, cozy room. It was, of course, nothing like the much more spacious room she had back at home, but it had its commodities- a shelf, electrical plugs, two desks, one for each of them, presumably, and a shelf on either side of the room for decorations, books, or decorative books. A television set sat right in the center of the room, in between the tables. It was well-furnished, and the colouring was fairly comfortable. Claudia dropped her bag, then herself on the bed. She took a few moments to compose herself, breathing in and out slowly, before setting to work on her belongings.

She worked in silence, stacking her clothes in a neat order in the wardrobe provided, sliding the more formal dresses and clothing into clothes hangers and lining them up according to type. Her underwear went into the drawers provided, and her training wear went to a different stack from the rest. Her books, the academic ones, were arranged into stacks of sizes on the desk, while casual reading went on the shelf. She hardly understood the topics presented in those books, but they did make for great decorations. She gingerly lifted a black narrow box from her bag and looked furtively around. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to bring this along, but she couldn't afford to skip out on practicing for whenever the next EVO dropped. She had a title to defend, damn it. She plugged the wires into the console, and connected them to the TV set and a nearby wall socket. She brushed the wires behind the table on which the TV sat on, and pushed the console to the back underneath the same table. Satisfied with the arrangement, she pushed her bag, now empty with the exception of her games and her controllers under her bed. She dusted her hands and looked around her side of the room. It felt alright. Certainly comfortable.

Perhaps she should ask Matthew and Emvi over for a match or two once in a while.

She held that thought for a moment. How uncharacteristic of her to think that she should bring people over. She was fine with flying solo. Why should she involve people with this? She frowned. Then again, there was no proper wireless connection her, and with all these people here, it’d probably suck too. Human players were required for her to improve. She nodded slowly to herself, and stopped halfway, deeming it a silly action. Still, calling them over once in a while was a purely strategic action. Yes. It was to help her improve. They seemed like they knew what they were talking about, and she would like to see just how much of casuals they are.

She sat back on the bed, and steepled her hands. The reality of her being her, in one of the most prestigious hero academies sank in again. The silence of the room filled her ears, loud and ever so familiar. It was the same sound she heard every day whenever she stared up at the ceiling of her room, with no one at home, and just herself. She could just barely make out the murmurs of the other students in the far off distance from the open window. That was the only difference. She closed her eyes and rested her chin on her fingers. The thanks she received, no matter how flippant and casual they were, from Emvi and Matthew earlier, riled up something inside her. How very curious. How very strange. Did she really help them? Did she really work together with them? Just what was this strange stirring? She ruminated over this.

How would she walk this road?

Toujou Makoto

Toujou walked around the large complex with the other students, noting the locations of specific buildings that would be in a normal schedule; mainly classrooms, cafeteria, and living quarters. As he walked with the group, in the back alone, he began to reflect on the day and what had happened to him. He had noted three embarrassing things that happened to him today, all of which made him afraid that his classmates would look down upon. The most notable thing was coming in late, mainly due to traffic and aiding a small child with getting her pet down from a tree. That incident could technically count as a fourth since the little girl noticed that his one of his tails was out, causing Tou to get flustered and helping the girl. He would have done it regardless, knowing that his guilty conscious would have forced him to go back to the spot in question, but the way it went about brought more embarrassment for him. He then arrived late, after initial introductions were finished and everyone going through their first test as students. He was directed towards the area and given his items before arriving at the maze, entering after everyone had one in but before the maze spat out the first student. He entered inside and chose the second path out of the three, and once he entered the regret of choosing that path set it.

The walls were rearranging constantly like someone trying to solve a Rubix Cube, but unable to find the right combination. Not only that but there were claws, crushers, and punching objects coming out of the walls striking at students in front of him. If it were just the protruding obstacles he might have been able to use his quirk's mobility against the maze, but the rearranging walls made that exceedingly more difficult. He then trod carefully through the maze, making sure to move between the morphing walls and dodging the obstacles. By the time he was now halfway caught up with some students ahead of him, the difficulty increased heavily, forcing him to move slower and be more precise with his movements. Regardless, the obstacles were beginning to strike at him forcing him to concentrate more on defending rather than moving around. As the space around him became smaller, he made an effort to just at least catch up to the other students. To be fair to himself he hadn't known where they were but he wanted to get as far as possible.

This is where the second moment happened, during his desperate run through the changing maze. As he was moving through, avoiding obstacles and objects striking him, he felt a quick jab in his abdomen. Looking down he had seen one of those punching objects gotten through his tails defending him, landing a solid blow in the stomach. He only saw it for less than a second as Tou was sent back, into one of the moving walls. It caught him, causing damage to his back which forced his tails to disappear from sight. He winced at the pain, before realizing that the walls were moving him back towards the entrance. He tried to recover but this hell of a maze was one a mission to spit him out like rotten meat. It successfully accomplished its mission, as about a minute later he tumbled out near the beginning. By then he was slightly bruised and his back hurt from the impact. He had lost the confidence to enter back into the maze, seeing as how he would just get spit back out again at that point.

As he walked out the third moment came as he began to feel as though he could have tried something else instead of just ramming his head through it. As he walked out he went to the infirmary and got his wounds treated before sitting by his lonesome once more. During this time he had pulled out his phone and read a book on it, beginning to read it, studying every word of the story he was reading. Sometime later, he was called up and soon gathered with the other students. He turned off his phone and began the tour with them. This is where we are at now, inside the dorm building near the kitchen. Toujou listened to the instructor's words and feeling hungry, took up on the offer of going into the kitchen and grabbing a slice before heading to his room. He had seen the list, already getting nervous of meeting new people he had never met before. Toujou headed up to his dorm room and, using his card, opened the door to find a neat room with three beds and a desk on the other side of the room. He looked to his right and saw the bed closest to the washroom, which is the one he wanted. He wanted it not because he had a bladder issue, but it would reduce the amount fo noise for his roommates so he thought if he were to share a room with them he could at least to this much. After setting his things down he sat at the side of the bed, pulled out his phone, and began reading his ebook again.

Ryuu followed the teacher around the school grounds. He had already explored a bit as he had arrived a day early and had a general sense of where they where going. When they arrived and looked up at the dorm room Ryuu stayed outside, already having been inside and setting up his room at the recommendation of the principal. He lit up a smoke and puffed back on it on the corner of the building. It was a dirty habit to have, and a new one to him. He coughed a bit and continued to puff back on the cigarette he had lit until it was finished.

As he went inside he looked at the room mate pairing list that the teacher had posted. he would be bunking with this Dante kid, hopefully he was someone who respected other peoples things and kept to himself, he couldn't deal with living with a nosy room mate. Also he had hoped Dante liked music, Ryuu had brought an acoustic guitar with him into the academy, as he had learned a bunch of instruments when he was younger being part of a wealthy family and all he could play quite a few, but the guitar was one that Ryuu mostly stuck with as it was his favorite. He walked into the kitchen and bumped into a guy carrying pizza.

"Ah sorry about that" Ryuu said as he walked past, but then did a quick 180 turn. "You wouldn't happen to be Dante would you?" he asked with a smile, hoping he didn't just piss off his maybe new room mate by bumping into him and already making a bad first impression.

It was interesting how friendly Matthew was being. Not that Manabu disliked the way he was being treated, but this was certainly not a normal occurrence. As the physical contact began and they walked over to the savory pizza, the boy studied the video in front of him very intently. "Why would heroes ever fight heroes?" He asked as the video continued. Weren't heroes supposed to work together? While he hadn't watched much tv so he wasn't recently caught up on the the pro scene, but he was sure that heroes wouldn't ever fight each other. Wouldn't that make one of them a villain...? This video game thing was only confusing him. "So...people can just...control these characters?"

The very confused boy sat down at a lone table, expecting his companion to sit down with him. He took a remarkably huge bite with his pizza, managing to somehow chew with his mouth closed even with such a large amount of food stuffed inside his face. It wasn't often that he got to eat pizza. Most of the time his meals were home cooked by his mother. She was always pretty adamant about him eating healthy, but she wasn't here, now was she?

He politely swallowed his mouthful of pepperoni pizza before speaking again. "Is this video game thing something that's given to heroes in training? I suppose it's seems to...somewhat simulate combat."

"Why would heroes ever fight heroes?" Matt chuckled as he pointed to the face cam of the Biveo Creator. "This guys name is, well his username is 'TeeBaggin'. It's kind of a lame username but he's good at the game. Anyway, each hero has different moves and you use the moves to get the other player to 0 health." Matt paused to the knowledge set in and to peek up on his toes to try and find Emvi or Kimi to invite them over to sit with him and Manabu. "So...people can just...control these characters?" Matt reared his head back to his new friend and accidentally let out a laugh and quickly smiled and pointed to the Creator in the corner and then to the character he was playing. "Tee is playing Glint, and right now he's fighting a bot practicing a new combo, but normally you'd fight someone else, whether it's online or LAN."

Matt looked away for a couple seconds scanning once again for the nearest friend. When Matt looked back, Manabu was sitting down at the table and chowing down on his pizza. Matt took a final look back to the crowd and AHA, there towards the middle left was a sheepish looking Kimi. Matt set his plate down when Manabu asked a kind of weird question. "Is this video game thing something that's given to heroes in training? I suppose it's seems to...somewhat simulate combat." Matt froze. He looked back to Manabu with visual ocnfusion. He seriously didn't know anything about video games. "Uh, no... They're just for fun. Learning how to play and then using those skills to win matches. It's also a good time killer." Matt smiled and glanced back to Kimi and quickly looked back to Manabu. Matt sat down in front of Manabu, he can always meet with his friends later.

I'll have to bring Kimi something to apologize with. Maybe I should bring her chocolates or something. Wait... No, that's weird. What does she even like. Matt shook his head and smiled back to Manabu. Matt took a bite of his pizza. It was the first thing he'd eaten all day, and it was delicious. Matt swallowed his bite and decided that asking his new roommate would be good. "Hey Mana, if someone got hurt because of you and you wanted to apologize for it should you get them something?" Matt shrugged and then quickly took another bite of his pizza. He was hoping Manabu didn't mind the nickname. But Manabu was long and Mana sounded cool.

"Hmm...I have no idea who Kimi is.."
To be honest I really don't care about roommates, nobody could possibly bother me. Whoever I ended up with would be fine with me. I however
was ignored entirely. What a shame. I'll have to find him again and then find Stellla. I need to see everyone's quirks.

Tsurei headed to find Dante again. She found him eating Pizza.
Time to make a impression. If I can even make a good one. People always look at me like I'm depressing.
"Mind if I sit with you? I'd like to talk to you. I promise I'm not rude."
"What do you think about Heroes? I personally find the idea of fighting villains abit self-righteous."
"Do you have many friends? We could be friends. I think I only have one here at best so far."
"Can we make a deal? I show you my quirk, you show me yours?"
"I'm afraid I have no way to contact you. No phone or anything, but I'll see you around. Have you seen Stella?"

He's a lot less interesting up front. But he had a good quirk. Perhaps I can see it in action. Now where's the freak with the camera.
We have a conversation past due. Time to strike. You won't even see it coming.

Tsurei got up after the conversation and went to find Stella.
"Well you're not at your dorm... And not in the cafeteria...Well might aswell head back to the classroom..

Tsurei found a lonely Stella... Guilty as charged.
"Hello. You seem busy though...So I guess I'll leave.
Different Strategy...You're smarter and less direct. If I can peak your interest...Maybe you'll stop me or at least feel bad.

TeeBaggin?
What an odd name. Matthew had said that it was some kind of username so...like a code name? This game could be played over the internet? Manabu that it to be pretty odd to do such an activity with random strangers. People who you couldn't see or hear. People whose names you never even knew. What if these people had malicious intent? He had heard that people could hack you over the internet and get all sorts of your personal information. Like your name and address. "You and Emvi must be very brave." He said out of nowhere. He had just determined that gaming was an extremely dangerous activity. It was interesting that there were people who sought out malicious foes for fun.

The boy was about to continue to ask questions about these video games before the conversation took a turn. Oh well, he would probably learn more about these video games later. Would Matt play them in their room? Was his newfound 'friend' willing to put Manabu in danger as well just for his own pleasure? That would be something he'd have to worry about. For now, he would focus on whatever Matthew was getting at. He had been constantly looking over his shoulder for someone. So perhaps he was having issues with another student

Mana...? He thought. That was something only his mother ever called him. It felt a little weird but...he oddly liked it. He'd let it continue, for now. "Gifts are just meaningless objects. Getting someone a gift and assuming that it'll make everything alright is ignorant." The boy said as he nonchalantly took another large bite of his pizza. He swallowed as he analyzed the subject in front of him. "You don't seem to be a person with malicious intent, so I'm sure it was either not your fault and you're overthinking it, or it was some sort of accident. If you're really worried about it just go tell them everything that's on your mind, there's no point in just stewing in your own, possibly made-up, guilt."

At this point, Manabu had already, sadly, finished his pizza. He wondered if they were allowed seconds. "I don't really have much experience with sadness, anger, guilt, or most feelings, really, but that's how I would approach the situation." He paused. "Is this about Emvi? If it is, I guarantee that she did better in the maze because of you. I'm certain that all other students, including myself, would have just left her when she became unable to walk."

"She lied to me, I can't believe this," Emvi fumed, mostly to herself as she glared at the disappearing Stella, "why would she even do that? What could possibly be the reason!" The girl took in a sharp, deep breath, letting out as slowly as she could in an attempt to calm herself down. Surely there must be some kind of reason for her to--no, forget that! How could she possibly justify this! I can't believe it!

Alone with her festering thoughts for the time being, Emvi stomped off, glaring along her route as she searched for Stella. Seemingly, her "senior" likely knew that she was going to make a beeline for their common space, and had resolved to move a great deal quicker than Emvi had planned to. By the time she navigated the new dorms and found the way to her room, Stella's signs of habitation had long grown stale. Huffing, she hastily unpacked her material, practically throwing clothes into the available drawers and shoving her modest collection of coats and jackets into the provided closets. Of course, she wasn't too rough with anything, since re-folding clothes is always a pain. Her brief bit of physical venting calmed her down somewhat; though frustration still bubbled upward through her more immediate thoughts, she could manage herself for now. Good thing too, since the last thing to leave her bags was her treasured game console. There was no way she could ever be rough with something like that.

Struck by a hit of curiosity, Emvi flicked her brown eyes toward the window, pacing towards it before unlatching the lower pane and pushing it open. She stuck her head out, hair hanging down over her face as she looked down at the ground below. It seemed like a surprisingly decent fall, all things considered. Not that she was going to jump right now, of course; not only would that be extremely painful, she was also more than sore enough already. Maybe someday, though, when she grew more accustomed to the pain of her Quirk...

Emvi shook her head, and moved to shut the window. Don't be stupid, she thought to herself, the mental note nearly coming out verbally. Sighing, she moved to exit her new dorm room, before stopping just short of the door. She glanced down, blinking as she noticed that she was still in her training clothes.

...Did we have another activity today? Should I change? She looked back to the drawers she had claimed for herself, and paced back to her claimed half of the room by the far window. Pulling out the topmost drawer, she looked within, letting out yet another sigh as she noted the nearly perfectly folded nature of her most comfortable clothes.

...Well, after all of that normal stuff, there's no real harm in relaxing, even if it's just for a little while, right?

A few moments' delay later, and Emvi finally emerged from her room, no longer clad in her training clothes. Instead, she had shifted to a loose set of sweats, seemingly particularly baggy, as per her tastes. She certainly seemed like she was at home, at least, though she'd definitely encounter a few problems if they were forced to go outside again. Not only was it punishingly hot out, her clothing was definitely not within the confines of the dress code. The tail end of summer would be giving way for colder seasons soon enough--at least supposedly--but there was no doubt that Emvi's choice of attire was specifically catered to the air-conditioned dorm environment.

Though she repeatedly swept her eyes back and forth along the hallways in her continued search for Stella, her blond-haired roommate was nowhere to be found. Shaking her head, she made her way to the kitchen, taking two plain slices for herself. Everything else looked a little too interesting for her tastes. The pizzas had become somewhat lukewarm during her absence, but that was fine; she'd eaten colder pizza before anyway. Spotting Matt and Manabu clustered around a phone, she strolled over, food in hand, and mouth full as she watched.

"Mm," she said, pointing at the phone with a free finger as she moved to swallow, "that's a good clip, I remember seeing the stream of that."

Somehow, Dante knew Revy was up to something when she came towards him. There was something in the way she looked at him, a mischievous gleam in her eyes that told him she was gonna do something.

"Guess you'll have to go back to get some more"

Yep, she swiped a slice of his pizza and taunted him by sticking out her tongue. She did seem quite pleased with herself, the little thief. Then again, Dante wasn't exactly mad about it. He'd just remember to get even with her in the near future. Such was the nature of these sorts of games after all. He was cut off from his thoughts as something caught him in the back of the knee and almost sent him to the ground.

"Oh, I apologize! Blinky is a bit clumsy. C'mon Blinky, get a move on"

Who the hell was Blinky? Wait... Did that chair have eyes... Oh.... Well now, it seemed like class 1-A had no shortage of spooktastic quirks. He was a vampire, Revy could vanish in darkness, and now, we had someone possessing chairs to carry them around. Halloween around here was sure to be a scream. They'd have to do a haunted house at some point. With these kinds of quirks they'd make a killing!

One of the other students walked up to him, Tsurei, if he recalled the name right.

"Mind if I sit with you? I'd like to talk to you. I promise I'm not rude."

"Oh, sure, go ahea-"

"What do you think about Heroes? I personally find the idea of fighting villains abit self-righteous."

"In a way maybe it is, but on the other ha-"

"Do you have many friends? We could be friends. I think I only have one here at best so far."

"Sure, I don't see why not." It seemed like the questions were slowing down so he could actually take time to answer them now.

"Can we make a deal? I show you my quirk, you show me yours?"

"I don't see why not" He paused, holding up his free hand as the blade popped out from his ring. Dragging the blade across his palm, he formed the blood that flowed forth into a small, European dragon in his palm. "In a nutshell, my quirk is all about blood" He smiled a little sheepishly.

"I'm afraid I have no way to contact you. No phone or anything, but I'll see you around. Have you seen Stella?"

Just as soon as the conversation began, she was heading off as soon as he shook his head regarding Stella's whereabouts. Not that her lack of a phone mattered. He didn't have one either, so the point was pretty much moot. He watched her go, trying to figure her out when a third bump once more snapped him from his thoughts just as he reabsorbed the blood and the wound closed. Seriously, what was with people and bumping into him today? Granted, Revy did it on purpose, but still... It's not like someone his size was easy to overlook....

"Ah sorry about that. You wouldn't happen to be Dante would you?"

Dante looked over his shoulder at the guy, turning to face him as he finished the bite of pizza he'd been chewing on. "Yeah, that's me. I don't suppose you're Ryuu, then?" He seemed... Shorter... than he recalled from the infirmary, but maybe that was just his imagination. If this was supposed to be his roommate for the semester, he should probably be upfront about some things. "So... I hope you don't mind music.... I'm... kinda in the school orchestra so I'll need to practice some nights, though I promise I won't practice when you're trying to sleep..." he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly with his free hand. Ultimately, it was something that was gonna come up sooner or later, so he figured it'd be best to get it out of the way up front in case it's a point of contention. He really hoped it wouldn't be. Last thing he needed was to get into two fights on his first day....

Matt took the last bite of his pizza. He did something that some people considered dumb. He left the "best part" of the pizza. But sadly Matt wasn't a fan of the crust. He always ate the whole pizza and just left the crust. Matt chewed on his last bite when Manabu said something weird. "You and Emvi must be very brave." Matt swallowed his bite and cocked his head to the side showing visible confusion. When Matt changed the subject he thought feedback would be good. And it was good feedback but it was surprisingly pessimistic. "Gifts are just meaningless objects. Getting someone a gift and assuming that it'll make everything alright is ignorant." Matt lost his smile and quickly threw it back on. "Well I didn't think it would make everything okay, I just thought it would be nice." Matt scratched the back of his head. Manabu quickly took a bite and continued with his advice.

"You don't seem to be a person with malicious intent, so I'm sure it was either not your fault and you're overthinking it, or it was some sort of accident. If you're really worried about it just go tell them everything that's on your mind, there's no point in just stewing in your own, possibly made-up, guilt." Matt looked down at the table and perched his hands together palms facing the table. His head was leaning on them, his lips kissing his knuckles. He truly though that he could have helped more. He could have just grabbed Emvi and waited for Kimi. Or tried calling her over. Anything could have changed it. "I don't really have much experience with sadness, anger, guilt, or most feelings, really, but that's how I would approach the situation." Manabu talked about himself so negatively. Or maybe not, but it seemed sad. "Hey, I'm sure you get mad and sad about things, feelings are a human thing. I think I just use mine too much." Matt said sheepishly as he gained a slight shade of pink on his face. "Is this about Emvi? If it is, I guarantee that she did better in the maze because of you. I'm certain that all other students, including myself, would have just left her when she became unable to walk." Matt looked up at the Manabu at the mention of Emvi. His face flushed full pink.

"I think I could have helped her more. I could have carried her to the end. But no, this is about someone else. But speaking of Emvi, I wonder where she is." Matt said holding the phone. "Mm, that's a good clip, I remember seeing the stream of that." Matt quickly threw his head around to see who was talking, but when he finished his turn around and saw who was in front of him. Matt's face was maybe an inch away from Emvi's as she was leaning over commenting on the video. Matt froze and his face flushed red. He might not have had blood anywhere else but his face.

Well, this wasn't so bad. A whole room to herself, pizza on one side of the desk with her phone and some paper on the other. A perfect chance not only to figure out her next move, but gather her thoughts too. As she munched away at her lukewarm lunch, Stella's vacant hand darted between a pencil and her phone. The former scrawling down a series of rough diagrams and sketches, and the latter filling its memory ever so slightly more with notes upon notes of her day's experiences.

The matter of Emvi still lingered in the back of her mind, but the surprisingly homely atmosphere her lunchtime brainstorming session provided worked well to quell her worries. Emvi seemed the reasonable sort, at the very least. If she got caught in her lie, then she suspected that the girl couldn't be that mad. At least, she hoped so after seeing her performance in that crushed incident.

Speaking of, maybe she should add Claudia to her 'Avoid List'.

Aha. What grand first impressions she was making! It was probably fine. They were important and everything, but she had three whole years to build her brownie points back up. Assuming that the pair of them weren't the types to hold grudges, at least. Or spread rumors.

Putting that aside, she had a guest.

"Ah, Tsurei? No no, don't mind me. Just uh, getting away from the hustle and bustle or something like that. First day nerves, maybe?" That was almost definitely not true. "Let's start from square one."

She cleared her throat.

"Welcome to my happy home! Feel free to come in, take a load off, yada yada. You get the picture. So, as for small talk, how'd you do in the maze anyway? Get beat up at all? Hiding some ugly bruises under those clothes? I think I remember seeing some stone branches or something at some point... Didn't know throwing rocks could accomplish that." That sounded a little standoffish, but at this point she was already establishing herself to be some sort of inconsiderate mook, so why not go all the way?

Or maybe she just needed to learn to think before she spoke.

As Dante made a small European dragon out of blood, Tsurei decided to make a replica of Archimedes holding a flower pen and a notepad out of rock.
I can create and control rock. I can only create things. Once I make something. it's there forever unless it gets destroyed somehow.
After the conversation Tsurei left leaving the replica there.

………...

"Nerves, huh.'

"I did fine I think but who knows how long the maze was. I didn't sustain any wounds, other than my patience."
That and the amount of time I wasted in that hellhole.Throwing rocks? I never said that. Well then. A indirect answer for an indirect question.
"Stone branches? Well it's all in the wrist I suppose"

Emvi blinked, then pushed herself backward with equal speed, taking on a slight tint of her own, though hers was more on the subtle side. She pushed a few strands of hair from in front of her face, then reached down to pull lightly on the bottom of her sweatshirt. "U-Uh, sorry! I, um, I shouldn't have been that close, uh..." Following her short stammering period, she reached up to shift her hair again, clearing her throat as she looked from Matt, to the phone, then back to the boy himself, briefly sparing a glance to Manabu somewhere in-between.

Silence ensued, and it was terrible.

"S-So! Um--" Emvi racked her brain for just about anything she could use to break the silence, and maybe even change the subject. It was unclear to the other two just how much she had heard before waltzing up to them; for Emvi herself, it was clear that she hadn't really been paying attention at all, instead busying herself with her own internal monologue until game footage snapped her out of it, but hopefully she didn't seem like the sort of person that didn't pay very much attention to things. "We, um, we're doing other things before the end of the day today, right? Like, they're going to make us do more exercises, right? Um, what do you think they're going to be? Hopefully it's nothing like that maze, at the very least."

The girl had faith that the teachers would be wiser than to put them through two grueling gauntlets within the span of a few hours. Surely, that initial salvo must have been for the purposes of breaking them in, getting them used to the myriad demands that were sure to follow any would-be heroes. Yet, even so, something about the school as a whole left Emvi slightly worried that the maze was just the beginning. After all, they had been promised an exceedingly rigorous curriculum.

Emvi briefly shifted her legs; the dull ache had nearly dissipated entirely at that point, instead replaced by a very slight amount of confidence.

Oh. Confidence. That's a word.

Blinking, she looked back to the two for a moment. "...Hey, um, weird question, I know, but have either of you seen...Claudia around?" It took her a minute to remember the classmate's name, having only heard her name a single time. "Or do you know what room she's in, maybe?" Anyone who had been paying attention during the room read-off would have known the answer to that question. Well, there went her air of attentiveness.

Manabu Moto

As Matthew mentioned something about emotions, Manabu waived his hand to convey a 'meh' attitude. He knew that emotions were quite human and everyone had them, but the male always thought that he felt them quite a bit less than others. Most of the time, the emotions of others didn't even make sense to him. Perhaps it was just because he hadn't been in many emotional situations. He let Matthew continue talking before butting in with his own two cents. "Impossible. That maze was too difficult for a student's skill level. You couldn't have made it to the end by yourself, let alone with Emvi on your back." The young boy said, hoping to calm his roommates worrisome spirit. Too bad that he didn't take into account that his words could be interpreted as an insult.

He looked back to Emvi as she suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Manabu supposed that he had in fact been too focused on the fact that his food was gone. There was some heavy silence as both Matthew's and Emvi's face turned a light shade of pink. He stared for a moment, wondering what that was about. Perhaps they were having trouble breathing...or something. It could always be some sort of visual communication that Manabu didn't know about. Kids these days.

"Hi, Emvi. We were just talking about you." He said, not knowing or caring if Emvi had heard their little talk. The boy took an up and down look of the girl. "Good to see your wounds healed nicely."

Manabu paused for a moment. "They said something about exercises, which is a little irresponsible considering so many of the students were hurt today. Would probably have been better to give the students some rest, but I'm sure the exercises won't be too hard, unless they're looking to kill us." While he knew that the school was meant to prepare them for vigorous hero work; Over working oneself was no joke. "Don't know who she is, so I haven't seen her. But from what Ace said she's in Room 1 on Floor 2."

Just in case he needed to converse or find any of his fellow classmates to talk about this 'teamwork' thing or whatever, he had already decided to memorize the names associated with each room. Of course anyone who had paid any attention to Ace's words would know the names and rooms, the pro-hero did have a rather tired and bored tone, so he understood if some of the students didn't pay attention. All of a sudden, Manabu had a pretty great idea. "Emvi, you seem kind of good with people. Matthew here thinks he hurt someone and wants to apologize. How do you think he should go about it?"

Matt's face shone pink. He couldn't move as he watched Emvi bolt back. Matt then quickly threw his head down staring at his lap. "U-Uh, sorry! I, um, I shouldn't have been that close, uh..." Matt's face went a slightly deeper pink as he spoke. "N-no, you did nothing wrong, I shouldn't have looked so quickly. Sorry!" Matt then put his chin onto his palms resting his elbows on the table. "Hi, Emvi. We were just talking about you. Good to see your wounds healed nicely." Matt looked up to Manabu and then looked back to Emvi. He scooted over and patted the spot next to him with a smile. "Wanna sit?" Matts face had gone back to normal, and his smile returned. He grabbed his almost empty plate and pulled it over to him.

"We, um, we're doing other things before the end of the day today, right? Like, they're going to make us do more exercises, right? Um, what do you think they're going to be? Hopefully it's nothing like that maze, at the very least." Matt pointed and rested his finger on his lips. He couldn't recall what else was supposed to happen today. He was just happy to be taking a break. He looked back to Emvi and shrugged. "I don't remember, I just wanna know if we get seconds or not." He smiled and chuckled a little. "They said something about exercises, which is a little irresponsible considering so many of the students were hurt today. Would probably have been better to give the students some rest, but I'm sure the exercises won't be too hard, unless they're looking to kill us." Matt let out a sigh after hearing that.

"...Hey, um, weird question, I know, but have either of you seen...Claudia around? Or do you know what room she's in, maybe?" Matt scratched the back of his head and smiled looking at Emvi. "I only kept track of Kimi's room, your room, and our room." Matt smiled and put his phone in his pocket, the video was paused so there was no point in having it out. "Don't know who she is, so I haven't seen her. But from what Ace said she's in Room 1 on Floor 2." Matt looked at Manabu again. Man, he's really smart. How did he remember all of that. Matt turned his head to the side and then looked back to Emvi. "Actually I need to truly thank her. Maybe I should get her something too." Matt tapped the table with his finger thinking what she might like. "Emvi, you seem kind of good with people. Matthew here thinks he hurt someone and wants to apologize. How do you think he should go about it?" Matt looked back to Emvi. She was a girl. She would hopefully know.

"The wrist?" The was definitely an innuendo there that was probably better left unsaid. "But uh, yeah, I know what you mean about the maze length. I get a feeling nobody even made it past, like, the first tenth. Cool, right? I already wanna dive back into that thing and see what else it has in store for us, but..."

She sighed. Looking back on the experience, it was pretty clear that they were being hazed. Even when the day came when she got to tackle the thing again, the chances of it being scaled down to some piddly-diddly difficulty level for the sake of 'fairness' and 'realism' were almost definite. Maybe if she asked one of the teachers to let her poke around in the proper experience on her own it'd be fine, but she also doubted her ability to make it any further than ten feet into the thing by her own power.

She'd just have to settle on what she had for now.

Her voice having long since trailed off, Stella turned her attention back to her work. Architectural traps like the maze's could only help her so much on the mechanical level, but there was more than a lick or two of inspiration she could take from them at the ideative end of the creative process. Shifting halls, crushing walls and flying fists. Maybe she could add a little oomph to her busters. That'd really been a one and done project. A rarely easy success! She'd been satisfied with it and labeled it finished pretty quickly, but, that first trap raised a decent idea. A little mechanical aid. The things certainly helped against overzealous street thugs, or at least, it did if her sister was any indication; But against anyone with a strengthening or hardening Quirk, she was pretty confident it'd fall flat.

But if she could motorize it to add even more of a wallop...

She grinned, leaned into a fresh sheet of paper, and began to sketch with a newfound fervor.

Sorry, Tsurei.

Rebecca had gotten bored of sitting around on the couch by her self, she had noticed a few video game consoles hooked up to the tv there as well as a wide selection of movies placed on a book shelf next to it, she thought about it and most people used video streaming apps now a days, not many people had dvd's any more. She began to scan through some and noticed some of her favorite classics on the shelf, she would have to watch them some time if she could get a few other people into the idea of watching them.

She decided soon after that to head up to her room and pack things away. When she got there she scanned her student card on the scanner right next to the door and she head the lock click. She walked inside and saw the tall blonde in the room, she hadn't gotten a good look at her before but seeing her now Becca thought she was looking at a sight of true beauty. She had completely forgoten about the insult that the girl threw her way when they were in the infirmary and Becca walked up to her. "So I guess your Claudia, My names Rebecca, but most people call me Becca for short" she said with a smile.

She began to pack her clothing away, "so I guess we will be living together for a while So maybe we should get to know each other, what kind of things do you like?" She asked as she continued to pack her stuff up. She hooked up a small black box to the rooms tv and turned it on to make sure it worked alright, connecting it to the buildings wifi. It was a streaming device she used to stream movies from a account she payed monthly for, which she could also get on her laptop but it was better to have it hooked up to a television. She continued packing away some books and other little things, "so whats your quirk?" She asked Claudia, trying to have a bit of a conversation.

Ryuu smiled at the fact Dante wasn't too upset over the fact that he bumped into him. "Yeah I'm Ryuu" He said offering his hand for a hand shake. "As for the music I brought along a guitar with me, growing up I learned how to play a few string instruments Piano, bass, violin, the mandolin..." He said trailing off for a minute "Any ways I learned at least the basics for a few of them but the only one I ever stuck with was the guitar, I doubt I could even remember how to play most of them now, but then again playing instruments is kind of like riding a bike, you never really forget hahaha" He said laughing a bit cause he was still a little tense from his meeting earlier in the morning.

"Anyways, the noise is no trouble for me I have a pair of noise canceling head phones if I need them anyways" he said. "But any who, I guess I should get to know you a bit and tell you about myself" He said. a opening opened up in his hand and out came a small bone spike that split off and he held it in his hand as his hand closed back up. "My quirk is bone creation and control, Basically I can use the bones in my body to make new bones that can be used for all sorts of things and any bones I create I can control" he said as the bone in his hand crumbled and turned to dust, "For example I just lowered the calcium and vitamin D content in the bone I created to the point where it became too weak and crumbled in the air" He explained. "Dont worry though, I can only do this to my own bones and no one else's so you don't have to worry about me making your skeletal structure fall apart while you sleep" He said with another laugh. "I also got in here based off recommendation, I still had to do the entrance exam, but basically I skipped the whole application process and went straight to that" he said.

"I'm also from Canada, Half Japanesse on my mothers side, but I've been living in New York for a long while now. So what about you, Whats your quirk? Where are you from? Anything weird I should know about you? Also Whats with the bird?" He said Sending a barrage of questions Dante's way.

Emvi blinked a second time, this time a little puzzled that someone would really care to ask for her advice when it came to social matters. Not that she was particularly bad at such things, or that she didn't have anything to say at all about them, it just seemed...unexpected, to put it simply. Offering a light shrug, she decided to shift into a nearby chair once prompted; even if she wanted to find Claudia--or, alternatively, go after Stella, wherever she may be--it seemed like she was going to be here for a bit of an extended conversation. She didn't particularly mind that either; she had talked to both boys earlier on, and now that Manabu seemed a little warmer after the business in the maze, maybe talking to him would be something of a pleasure instead of something vaguely off-putting.

In that moment, relaying Matt's dilemma to her, he almost seemed like a completely normal person.

Thinking on that problem in particular, Emvi let out a quiet, thoughtful hum, rubbing at the back of her head, displacing her already somewhat-messy hair. It looked decent enough at the start of the day, but the maze clearly got in the way of her initial appearance. She wasn't particularly unique when it came to seeing a little worse for wear after their initial activity, and Emvi herself didn't seem to mind at all. "Well...I guess it kind of depends on what you did, and how you hurt them specifically, and stuff. I mean, an old-fashioned apology where you just go up to them and whatever usually works fine enough, I don't think you really need to do anything super special or anything like that unless you really messed something up..."

She trailed away, looking over Matt for a few moments, creating a few seconds of potentially awkward silence. Emvi herself did not notice, instead falling into her own set of thoughts, seemingly reflecting further on Matt's issue. He doesn't really seem like the sort of person that would do anything bad like that, she thought, her hand once more rubbing at the back of her head, did he really do something bad already? He was with me the entire time, and I didn't see him do anything bad at all.

Emvi cleared her throat, seemingly bold enough to ask the obvious question. "...So, uh, what'd you do?"

Dante

Dante shook his roommates hand when it was offered, listening politely to the other boy as he spoke. so much information in such a short time, it was hard to keep track of it all, to be honest. At the very least, though, they seemed to have a lot in common, given their shared love of music.

Then came time to answer...

"I'm from a small town in Maine.. I'd tell you the name but, even if you had a map you probably wouldn't notice it" He chuckled softly as he remembered his ass-crack-of-nowhere hometown. "As for my quirk..." He held up his hand, the blade showing on his thumb ring as he split his hand open. Once more, the blood flowed and took the form of a small violin. "I'm able to manipulate any exposed blood that's near me. I can also absorb or drink blood to heal, but don't worry, I don't bite without permission" He smiled a little sheepishly, aware at that point the vampiric connection would be rather painfully obvious.

"As for those last two questions..." he glanced around to make sure no one else was in earshot. "They kinda go together. I got jumped when I was younger, long and the short of it, as a result my sense of direction is damn near non-existent. You could say I have spatial dysphoria. That raven, Archimedes, well.... this probably sounds fucking stupid but he keeps me from getting lost." He scratched the back of his head. "I can eventually find my way around places, but it takes me significantly longer than most people, and I don't have a GPS I can use so, Archimedes fills in" He explained, hoping it didn't sound half as stupid to Ryuu as it did to Dante to say it out loud.

Even he had to admit, it sounded like a freaking charity case.

"I can't say I got a recommendation to get here, but I did get a conditional full-ride scholarship, the condition being I sit in as first chair violin..." he scratched the back of his head. He wasn't used to talking about himself so much, but given how much Ryuu had told him, it felt only right to at least give as many details back, right?

"Speaking of, I should probably head up to our room and be sure my violin got here in one piece.... It's kindof a family heirloom..." He murmured. "If you want, I can show you a few songs, if not, well, I guess I'll see you later" He flashed a bit of a grin, grabbing another couple slices of pepperoni to take with him as he headed towards his room. If Ryuu followed, maybe they could even have a jam session, but, well, what were the odds of him having two amazing encounters in one day?

First, there was Revy. Holy hell was he lucky she liked that name. That could have gone south so fast.... But instead, he'd found someone he could relax and be himself around. Hell, she knew from the get-go he was a vampire, and even went so far as to give him blood. She'd shown firsthand that she wasn't gonna judge him. Maybe that was why he felt so at ease around her.

And now there was his roommate for the year, who seemed to share his interests and overall be an actually good guy. Everyone here seemed so... nice...

Well, except maybe Claudia, but he had said he'd give her a second chance. Maybe that whole hardass persona of hers was just how she acted... In hindsight, it didn't seem nearly as malicious as the stuff he was used to. Eh, he'd wait and see, but for now, he was on the fence with that one.

For now, he wanted to be sure his violin had made the journey in one piece.

Aruka's face slightly drooped as the dorms were read out. One of the three bedroom dorms just meant another potential victim in her mind, she was already afraid to get near others, and having two others made that all the more difficult. It couldn't be helped, she supposed, the lessons were what she needed to focus on.

Lifting an eye toward the approaching familiar face, it wasn't long before Aruka remembered where she had heard the name from. "My care?" She thought to herself, before lowering her eyebrow with a short smile at the notion. "I'm not too sure..." Aruka responded in a curious tone, staring upward as she attempted to recollected the names and faces she had come into contact with so far. "Wasn't she..." Aruka was about to take a guess, before a sudden feeling made itself present on her shoulder. A feeling, that for most, would mean little, yet for Aruka it brought a sudden burst of fear at the possible consequence.

The green skinned girl almost tripped as she leapt away from Elena, her hands recreationally positioning themselves in front of her own chest as if to indicate a desire for distance. Her facial expression quickly changed from a calm, deadpan tone to one of shock, and slight anger. "What do you think you're doing!?" Aruka bursted out, while not loud, the concern in her voice was obvious. If her fingers were uncovered, Elena would feel slight discomfort in the tips of her finger that had tapped Aruka's shoulder. Realising her clearly strange reaction, Aruka quickly attempted to recollect herself, crossing her arms over her chest and calming her expression once more, though her quick breaths made it clear she wasn't so. "Haven't you heard of personal space before?" She questioned, with slight sass, her emerald eyes which had been fixated on the girl moving back toward Toki for a short moment, before looking back to Elena.
