  hello out there, all you beautiful, terrible people. my name is Lan, but feel free to call me cap, marv, dumbass, or whatever else you feel like. it's been a hot minute since i've done one of these, but recent life events have resulted in me having a large confidence boost in a number of areas, and i've recently discovered that heading up group rp's isn't really something i'm good at. so i'm hopping back into the 1x1 roleplaying scene, because why the hell not? hopefully i'll be able to make some new rp partners and site friends, and just have an all around fun time.

  i've been an active roleplayer for five years: two years offsite, and three years here. i have also taken numerous writing classes and workshops, and read several guides on how to write a good story, so i like to think i'm at least reasonably experienced in writing. my post length varies, with the average being around 3 paragraphs, and i write mostly in third person past tense. though i certainly can write longer posts, and will more often than not strive to match my partner's own post length. don't be discouraged by the all lowercase letters here; these are just for aesthetic and i promise i can properly capitalize. i can also roleplay here or on discord (pm me for my discord id).
  
  with settings and plot, i adore worldbuilding and drip-feeding small details. i have no triggers at all, so darker, mature, or taboo themes you suggest are okay with me. with characters, i love clashing personalities, character development, and organically integrated romance. when it comes to character pairings, i can play m/m, m/f, and f/f platonically. however, i will only play m/f and f/f romantically, as i can't write m/m romance without risking it being offensive. i use character skeletons, have no preference for which gender i play, and am open to using either anime-style or realistic face claims.
  
  oh, and i'm also super ghost-friendly. you don't like the way things are going, or have lost interest entirely? don't let me stop you. go forth and find fresher pastures.

  in fandom settings, i prefer to play an original character against another original character. i can be convinced to play a canon character against a canon character, but i will not play an original character against a canon character and vice versa.
