Vetera of Trikru

giphy (33).gif

Vetera hated Azgedans. Her finger tightened in slight annoyance around the shaft of her bow but she managed to let her tension go. She reached up and pulled the man's dagger out of the tree next to her and spiked it into the ground next to the Azgedans feet. He had a point, but he himself was in Trikru territory at the moment so it was very much a concern of his. As Vetera weighed her options she was hit with the realization that her disappearing tribesman had probably been taken by Azgedans. If he was here that meant there were more. Eyeing him, Vetera let out a breath and shook her head incredulously. Even if they hated each other this sky machine was cause for concern. There was no telling what it was capable of and it could very well be a concern to all of their people and not just Trikru. She had to figure out some way to get this man to stand down so she could assess them. The only question was how. How does one calm down a seething Azgedan warrior? The answer was unknown. Vetera's eyes glanced at the Bayleaf man for a moment and she realised that this Ice native was out numbered, but she doubted if her friend there could fight. Vetera knew she could very well loose an arrow into the Azgedan's skull right this moment, but that wouldn't do much good but to anger his tribesman. She sighed and begrudgingly slung her bow back across her back.

"You are correct. But from where I'm standing, you're in Trikru territory yourself." Vetera spoke plainly, "It's very well your concern while you find yourself here. I wouldn't underestimate what these sky people are capable of before we know anything about them. Who's to say they won't cross into your land?" She crossed her arms over her chest, "You have a desire to kill both me and my allied man here, but you cannot pretend to know if those people won't kill you while you're alone." Vetera cocked her head at the man, "You are alone. You ventured here this deep without any of your tribesman. A little eager aren't you? But I'll quit my talking. Make your decision, gona."

Vetera turned to the Bayleaf after he spoke to answer him quickly, "They look like people. Their clothes are odd and they bear no sigils but they appear normal." She couldn't think of anything else they could be so of course she assumed they were people.

Trikru warriors were skilled, Aktobehr wasn't so arrogant as to deny that. Of all the clans and tribes He had fought with, they were among some of the best. Well equipped, well fed, well fortified. They weren't like some of the wild mountain tribes. They were organized and efficient. No doubt, the Azgeda-Trikru conflict would prove to be one of the bloodiest wars since Azgeda's founding. Trikru warriors wouldn't just roll over and give up their lands like some of their smaller neighbors. They would fight and die if they needed to. Aktobehr was a skilled warrior, no doubt, but fighting off two Trikru soldiers would be a stretch, even for him.

Luckily, these were not soldiers.

Aktobehr's eyes rolled back to the boy who had the audacity to speak again. He would go down first. Smaller, weaker, bandages wrapped around his torso. Aktobehr wouldn't kill him, but as long as he was close to the boy, he doubted the woman would fire that bow of hers, not if she wasn't certain that she wouldn't hit her ally. The boy was a bargaining chip now. If Aktobehr could subdue him and control him, he was fairly certain he could get the girl to lay down her bow. At that point, Aktobehr could just kill the boy and rush her before she'd be able to get an arrow knocked. It was a good idea in theory anyways. It all depended on the woman choosing not to just shoot him regardless of the potential to hit her ally. She saved him once already though, it wouldn't make much sense for her to put him at risk again, right?

Confident in his plan, mostly because he really didn't have many other options, Aktobehr turned his gaze back to the woman briefly. Taking notice of the bow slung over her back, Aktobehr couldn't help but shake his head and smirk. This had all just become so much easier! Aktobehr would be right on top of her by the time she got an arrow drawn back. The bow had been the only thing stopping Aktobehr from attacking and now it had effectively been removed from the equation. Kill the girl, let the whelp run and tell the tale. Sky people be damned.

Aktobehr rolled his shoulders back and suddenly sprung like a trap, charging the girl like a raging bull. He swung the axes at her in a whirlwind that would make his gods proud. Aiming didn't really matter at this point, it was simpler to just on rely and speed and brute force to overwhelm her. If he were lucky, his axes would tear through her flesh and bone, leaving her dead at his feet. If he were even more lucky, he'd just incapacitate her. A prisoner could be valuable, especially one that claimed to have seen people come from the sky.

That kind of story, if told to the right people at the right time, could put Aktobehr in a very powerful position...

He moved with the speed of a charging bear, Silas's calves tensing. He hadn't been all that surprised by the action, but he'd been taken aback by the speed of it, the suddenness of the transition. The choice to go after the girl was interesting, Silas had been sure he looked like the main target, but he was apparently wrong about that. His hand gripped the hilt of his shortswort. He had about three seconds to decide what he would do, and during that time, the seconds seemed to pass with a slowness that resembled sap dripping down a tree. Silas was moving before his brain could catch up.

He would not leave the woman alone to fight.

He took three large strides in a run, then leaped into the air, his sword swinging overhead in a large arc. The man had made a mistake by writing him off. Back at home, one of the great rites of passage amidst the clan that lived near the swamps involved hunting beasts-the ones with the long snout, with the rows of teeth. They'd been called something else long ago, something no one remembered the name for, and had mutated into a beast with misshapen scales, with malformed legs that seemed to sprout from random places. Mostly it was the warriors who hunted them, bringing back the skin and teeth as a trophy. Silas could remember the first and only time he'd gone after one on his own, and had finally been successful. It had been during his teenage years, back when he'd carried his frustration and discomfort like a weight and had been willing to do anything to prove his worth as a man. He'd stumbled back to his camp with the creature slung over his shoulder, his own blood running hot down his face, but a fierce grin joining it. He wore the creature's tooth now around his neck, a trophy. A charm for good fortune.

This man was like those creatures, all teeth and burled strength. Silas could handle him.

His sword swung downward, but whether it struck flesh or soil, he wasn't sure. Hopefully, the woman had something for close combat as well as ranged. At least he had a few things to help patch them both up after this was done.

Vetera of Trikru

giphy.gif

Vetera cursed herself for ever think that an Azgedan would pass up an opportunity to kill them. While she’d had a lapse in judgement, she wasn’t stupid. Vetera hadn’t left herself defenseless and while she wasn’t necessarily prepared for a fight she did have a rather large gutting knife attached to a belt at her back. The Bayleaf man offered up a distraction, swinging at the Azegedan and gave Vetera an opportunity to draw her knife. The ice man was strong, there was no debate about that, but she doubted he was as nimble as both she and her ally were in this forest. "Blasted, ice savage!" She yelled as she moved. Vetera was quick to jump away from the man’s charge and soon found herself on the outside of the battle. While her ally swung at the Azgedan, Vetera scanned the place for anything that could be of use. She was better with her bow than she was with close combat but she couldn’t leave to Bayleaf to fend for himself. She cursed under her breath and decided she wouldn’t be much help in the middle of the fight anyway. Without a second thought, she sheathed her knife and scrambled as quickly as she could up a tree. With it’s outreaching branches she was able to get a clear shot at the fight happening down below. Her bow was in her hands in a second and she had it drawn.

She couldn’t shoot quite yet without fear of hitting the Bayleaf man. But, if it came to it, it might be better to nick him with an arrow than to let the Azgedan kill him. The Azgedan was outnumbered and had seemingly underestimated the Bayleaf’s abilities. Vetera took a breath. He needed help and she’d very well have to provide it, whether it injured him or not. It was better to be injured than dead, and he appeared to be a healer anyway and might be able to patch himself up anyway. Vetera aimed her bow. Her ally was in front of the Azgedan from her point of view but she knew she could still hit her target. Three, two, she loosed and arrow it grazed past the healer’s arm and connected solidly with the Azgedan’s arm just above his bicep. It might not stop him but it would sure as hell hurt.

Apologies, ai lukot!” She shouted out to the Bayleaf man. She’d only nicked him, he’d be alright. The Azgedan on the other hand now had an arrow lodged in his arm. It wouldn’t stop him but it might slow him down enough for her ally to get a hit in.

Mags had seen the blonde girl mention her and she was shocked at the authority that this person thought they had. She made her way over to her, sizing her up. Not really a challenge but she definitely had the confidence that bothered Mags. She didn’t listen to anyone when it came to authority. She let out a wry laugh, “Well who made you in charge, blondie?” she gestured around to all the teenagers still shouting excitedly, “Hate to break it to you but I don’t do orders.” Magnolia couldn’t understand how someone thought they could just tell people what to do rather than ask them or even ask their names. “There’s no point in hunting for supplies. Our purpose down here is hopeless. We as a group of people are hopeless. The Chancellor said one right thing and we are expendable, so don’t try and act like a hero, blondie”

Mags moved just a hair closer to the girls face still keeping her words emotionless, “If you want to get lost in those woods, go for it. But don’t order me around like you are in charge. Cause right now you’re on the same level as the rest of us. A delinquent, a nobody.” Mags backed off a few steps still keeping her eyes locked on the girl. She was trying not to cause a commotion but if this girl came at her in the wrong way, she knew she would snap and make sure that this girl knew not to mess with her. They needed everyone alive as much as that annoyed Magnolia and they had already lost twelve. She only said what everyone was really thinking about really being down on the ground, trekking through the woods for supplies was dumb and could easily get them killed, they needed a plan first not just a trek through the woods in hopes for supplies. An actual plan that was thought out. The ground wasn’t their territory, anything could hurt them. She of course didn’t care to say any of that to the blonde girl because that meant caring about the others and having some kind of feeling besides hatred for them.

Ember nodded her head slowly, she agreed. She may have been pardoned for her crimes on the ship as she hadn't ever really done anything bad. It wasn't her fault that she had been born. Her mother made that decision for her, and what kind of life is living under the floorboards. She was a kid who had never seen the outside of her barracks, never gotten to go to school, she had never had the chance to be a kid. Of course she wanted to explore a bit, and the only chance she ever got was when her mother and brother were fast asleep.

The smile that had been plastered on her face fell when Damon started to laugh, she thought that climbing a tree would be fun. Damon however must of thought it was a ridiculous idea as he began to laugh in her face. But he quickly agreed to her idea and as he explained his reason for his outburst of laughter, Ember understood why he laughed at the suggestion. Her smile slowly crept back onto her face as Damon began a count down. 3-2....1? Did he not say one?

Ember took a minute to process the fact that Damon had already taken off at a full sprint. He was only a few strides ahead so it didn't take much for her to catch back up. Ember was running completely on adrenaline, all of her senses working double time to take in the way the ground felt as she pressed off of it with the ball of her foot following as she landed with the other.

She grabbed a hold of one of the low branches, feeling the roughness of the bark below her finger tips. Everything on the ark has always been so smooth, so perfect, where as earth had so many imperfections, the ground wasn't always flat, and the branches weren't evenly spaced. She couldn't have ever imagined a more imperfectly perfect world.

She pulled herself up and onto the first low branch, meeting Damon's eyes. "I think we've already won." She smirked, reaching up continuing to scale the tree keeping up to Damon's pace, occasionally falling behind as his length just gave him so much more of a reach than her. She was sure that maybe had she taken off before him or even just at the same time that she might have been able to beat him.

Slowly she began running out of stamina, "darn..." She took a deep breath in trying to catch her breath. "I didn't realize how tough this would be." She took a deep breath stopping on one of the branches close to the top. Ember wrapped her legs around the branch, leaning back against the trunk.

Aktobehr had underestimated the runt, at least his courage anyways. There had been no doubt in his mind that the boy would turn and run for help, and yet, footsteps charging through the dead leaves and twigs told him otherwise. A moment longer, and the woman would’ve had an ax in the side of her head, but Aktobehr didn’t really have any choice but to let her go and meet the boy charging him from behind. Regrettably, he had to let the woman go. His only other option was to let the kid carve into his back like pork at a feast. Aktobehr wouldn’t be remembered as the man killed by a child a foot shorter and hundred pounds lighter than him. That’d shameful to say the least.

Aktobehr sounds back around to face down the boy again, raising an ax to catch the blade swinging down at him in an overhead arc. The short sword caught in the hook of his ax, Aktobehr only had to guide the momentum to the side to avoid the blow.

“You are no gona. If you were smart, you would have run and hidden in the trimani.” Aktobehr’s words rolled off his tongue with a cold and hateful as he glared down at the much smaller boy. With his sword locked down to to the side by Aktobehr’s ax, Aktobehr’s free weapon could’ve cleaved down into the boy, but The Azgedan was never one to hurry things, not if he didn’t have to.

Aktobehr changed his grip on his ax, so the blunt end would hit instead of the blade, and slammed the weapon down onto the boy’s chest, aiming for the bandages. Rotating his body slightly for a different angle, Aktobehr’s arm suddenly lit up like fire. He didn’t need to look to know that he’d been hit by an arrow, in his dominant arm too. Right through his bicep, missing bone entirely.

The arrow jutted out on both sides, the sharp head right where he could see it. The blood ran dark over the the tip, but it had a strange hue. Lighter than normal, like pouring milk into wine. Thin white whisps swirled in the blood.

Aktobehr didn’t think about it before snapping off the ends of the arrow and throwing to the dirt. A war cry pierced the air, savage and cruel, echoing through the air and ringing off the trees. The Ice Man spun on his heels and sidestepped around the boy, moving to where he could keep both of his opponents in his field of view. “ You carry a cowards weapon!” He roared, glaring daggers at the woman now perched in a tree. Trikru, always running to the canopies when a fight came. Cowards the whole lot of them.

He raised and ax to point at her, the head wavering ever so slightly. “When the boy is dead, I’ll take my time with you! I’ll splay your ribs in a blood cross and let the birds pick at your insides!” He took a step to swing a brutish blow down at boy again, but the moment he moved, the world began to spin. He stumbled, his ax slipping from his grasp. He swung again with the second ax, this time nearly falling himself.

Realization struck harder than any blow. Poison. A weapon suited for midnight assassinations rather than a duel in broad daylight. If a bow were a cowards weapon, than poisons was reserved for only the most spineless men and women.

Aktobehr could feel his hands and feet numbing, like frostbite, only much quicker. His legs gave out quickly, and he fell to his knees. Looking up at the woman, there was no regret in his eyes. Only a loathing detest, a a desire to end her life in the most painful way possible. Revenge, he wanted it more than anything.

“Shoot again gada. End my life.” He challenged. “Watch how quickly the wolves raze the villages without anyone to keep them in check...”

3daabef4285dc94cb5fc43518e3e6d09.jpg"Enough!" Aramintha appeared from an opening between the trees. Her eyes lay upon a small group. One she could determine as part of the Trikru tribe. After some time to look another over, she was a bit surprised to see a Bayleaf man. The other one was an Azgedian, that was apparent to her. Slowly, she strided closer to the group. Confidence and anger illuminating from her. To some, the tattoo's and piercings were intimidating enough. She stood about average height, but was nicely built for a fight if needed. It seemed like embers raged in her eyes, her anger only in a brew. They were fighting each other, at a time like this?

Her arm moved over promptly towards the smoke and dirt reaching towards the heavens. "Why are we fighting each other? When there is something bigger that has landed on our Earth. Something bigger than some petty war." She spat. Aramintha could feel her anger under her skin, her eyes never leaving those in front of her as she walked around them. "Idiots. Have you no care for our own world? Do you not see we need each other to face this?" This was really rash. Aramintha wondered if she should have stayed back from the scene. But it was unavoidable since they were along her walk path. The sound they made would've been loud enough for nearby villages to know to go into hiding. Well, it was mostly the brute with the axes.

A sigh escaped her lips and she pinched the bridge of her nose. From what she was hearing, it seemed the Azgedian was the one trying to start something, and now he was paying for it. "Karma came for you, Brother." She acknowledged Aktobher as she looked over his wound. "Yu gonplei ste odon. Unless you wish to finish it in hell." She taunted him. Despite the multiple people with weapons around her, she made her way in between them all. Defenseless and honorably, she faced the Trikru up in the tree. Aramintha made sure her body was in the way of Aktobher. This would make it increasingly difficult for Vetera to shoot him again. "I can see it within you, Trikru, you want to find out what that was. Who those sky people are." Her words rang into the air. "No one needs to die today."

Vetera of Trikru

The Azgedan seemed very angered about the arrow. Calling it a coward's weapon, and Vetera wouldn't argue. She was not a warrior. This bow was used to feed her people, but she'd use it to kill someone if necessary. This Azgedan had definitely made her feel like it was necessary. But as he went on spouting about how he'd splay her about she noticed his strength deteriorating rather quickly. Vetera glanced at his wound as he hobbled about and realised that th arrow she had loosed on him was poisoned. Damnit. She'd forgotten that that was even in her quiver. An arrow specifically reserved for animals that were hard to take down with less than two arrows. It had worked out in her favor though, maybe not the healers. Vetera realised that he was probably poisoned too and they'd have to work fast to make him an antidote out of something. She was sure he'd be able to do it. Besides, she'd barely grazed him he wasn't nearly as bad as the Ice warrior, who was rather dramatic in his fall.

Just as Vetera was about to speak, another voice rang out. Vetera's head snapped up and she was met with the sight of yet another Azgedan. She tensed and quickly drew another arrow. But this Azgedan, a woman, seemed much more reasonable than her counterpart. She spoke along the same lines Vetera had used to try and reason with the man. Although she was still wary, she jumped out of the tree and landed softly on her feet again. She stayed a fair distance away from the other woman as she spoke, to the man first.

"I did not want to fight you, gona. I am not a warrior, I do not pretend to be something I'm not. This bow is used to feed my people." She spoke, words quick and precise, "Let it be known that you brought this on yourself." Vetera then turned to the Azgedan woman and gestured to the area where she'd seen the sky object.

"I tried to tell your tribesman this might very well be more important than our feud. The people I saw are odd." She turned to the Bayleaf, more concerned about him than the sly people at the moment, "I cut you, the arrow was poisoned, we need to make you a salve of some kind before we do anything." She gestured to his bandages, "You're a healer correct?"

The wheels in his head instantly began to turn, when another guy responded to his request for alcohol. In all honestly, Noah felt grateful someone else had their priorities straight. The delinquents could ponder over potential chronic exposure to radiation, after celebrating their successful landing. Each of them went from the cursed fate of detention in the Sky Box to their new lives on the ground. Suddenly their eighteenth birthdays held more meaning than a potential walk to an air-locked chamber to be floated.

“I wish, man. I’m decent at smuggling, but I’m not that good. The Guards would’ve copped it before putting me on that death trap.” He offered with a mischievous smirk and a nod toward the drop ship. ”Hell, I bet they’re having their own party right now over finally getting rid of the troublemakers.” It also hadn’t helped that Noah Anderson’s proficiency with stealth-related activities had declined over the years. Perhaps he wouldn’t have been caught committing arson on the Ark otherwise ---

Their duo grew to a trio with the appearance of another taker. Their newfound freedom on the ground kept getting better and better. Noah grinned from ear to ear at the girl’s question, and he felt obligated not to disappoint either of them. ”There’s isn’t anything yet, but we can change that. My dad was from Farm Station, so he taught me a thing or two.” He announced as reassurance. ”All we need is some corn, sugar, and a couple other things before you have yourself some moonshine.”

He paused and pondered how the delinquents could acquire the necessary ingredients. Noah racked his brain for another minute before recalling there had been a video message, as the group of teenagers descended. What had Chancellor Cameron been saying about supplies somewhere? Noah hardly paid attention to the message because his life was in jeopardy, but he prayed one of the others had been more attentive.

”Hey, what was the Chancellor saying about going somewhere for supplies? Does anyone know?” He inquired with a loud voice to ask around. ”We can probably find sugar from something green around here, but the corn’s gonna be hard unless one of you can magic up a stalk or something.”

Clayton chuckled at the guys mention of smuggling. He hadn’t forgotten that most of the others he had been sent down with had been in the skybox for way worse than he was. Who knew trying to let everyone know the were dying was such a crime.

Quickly they were joined by a third, a small brunette that he though he recognized as Cassie, furrowing his eyebrows for a moment before remembering the story one of his friends had told him about how she had a secret sister.

“I think there is more to it than that..” Clayton knew that he knew more than most, but he wasn’t going to concern anyone with thoughts of leaving behind their loved ones to certain death. They were the lucky ones, another chance to live on earth. Even if it had been the unknown option.

“We should of landed relatively close to mount weather... We might not even have to make our own moonshine” Clayton’s thoughts drifted off. Realizing that he might have met the the two other teens before, but wasn’t sure who they were. “I’m Clayton by the way..” His eyes met the girls, before continuing. “Not to be insensitive, but you’re Cassie’s sister aren’t you? We had classes together.”

CJ didn’t rush to get off the ship like some of the others did. Why should he? They were going to be here forever now, getting out five minutes later wasn’t going to change anything. Instead, he took his time in the drop ship collecting whatever he could. No reason in particular, it just seemed like it’d be a good idea. By the time he finally went to make his way outside, CJ’s arms were full of scrap metal, a spare pair of shoes someone had taken off, and a bunch of loose wires. He didn’t need any of it, but who knew? Maybe it’d be good to have later.

After reading at least a billion books about what Earth was like, stories about New York City, and Paris, concrete jungles, CJ honestly hadn’t been expecting to step outside into a never ending forest. For whatever reason, CJ had imagined they’d be stuck in the ruins of some ancient metropolis. That’s not to say CJ was disappointed though. He stood there for at least thirty seconds just taking it all in. The smells, all the color, the sky! It was hard to wrap his head around it all. Not long ago, CJ had been looking down on this place from a satellite, and now he was here!

Listening to a few of the others fight and bicker snapped CJ back into reality. This still wasn’t paradise, far from it. They hadn’t been here ten minutes, and people were already dead. How could people be running off and playing, or arguing over who knows what, when there were literally corpses lying around?! CJ was all for having fun and all, but that didn’t mean he was incapable of being rational. There were still things that needed to get done, otherwise they were all going to die down here! Food? Water? Shelter? Did anyone give a damn? This stuff was important!

CJ stopped ranting in his head when he realized he sounded just like all the Adults up in The Ark. It made him feel a little guilty about being so defiant all the time, not guilty enough to apologize mind you, but guilty nonetheless.

CJ sighed and walked away from the drop ship, heading out into the trees far enough to be away from most of the others, but close enough that the ship wasn’t obstructed by the forest. The others could do whatever they liked, but CJ was going to figure things out for himself.

He dropped his armful of junk, looking down at it with a pained look. The scrap metal was really the only stuff worth anything, and even then, it wasn’t much. CJ was sure he could figure out something to do with all the scrap and garbage though. He just had to figure out what.

The fight looked to be over before it had even started-a sudden, burning rain spread over his bicep, an arrow having torn through his skin. Nonetheless, Silas steeled himself against this-Grounders had a remarkably high pain tolerance, and he was no exception to that rule. There was no response to Ahktober's taunts, Silas considering all insults little more than a distraction in the context of a fight. He readied himself for more combat-parrying his swings would be a no-go, with the nick on his arm and with the difference in strength between them, he likely wouldn't be able to rally against the force of the swings. Silas eyed the man, ducking first one way, then another...And then, finally standing still as the man's swings became clumsier and clumsier.

In a flash, Silas understood. Poison. He himself would begin to feel the effects soon. But first, he needed to ensure the safety of both his clan and their allies.

He set his jaw, expression grim, and guided his blade beneath the man's jaw. He may as well ease the passing.

Hazel eyes flashed upwards in response to another cold and jagged accent, as cold as the ice from which this woman hailed. Two Azgedans, in Trikru territory? His suspicion was roused. They couldn't pretend as though they just happened to both be in the same area by some divine coincidence. They were here together, likely for the same vicious purpose. Silas watched the woman though narrowed eyes, feeling his own pulse quicken as he began to feel very nauseous. Whatever decision, they needed to reach an accord soon. The man wouldn't last long, and at this rate, neither would Silas. Though he found himself resenting the high and mighty peace talk from this woman, the woman from Trikru seemed to assent.

Silas stepped away from the man, knowing full well he'd likely be punished if he was seen sparing the life of someone who'd been threatening to bleed him dry not ten seconds earlier. Holding up a hand to motion them both to wait, Silas began to dig through his satchel for a remedy.

After a few seconds of searching, he found it-an oil, pressed from the leaves of a plant which grew near the shadow valley. He poured a bit into his hand, proceeding next to rub the fluid into the Azgedan's wound, his brow furrowed in concentration. He then applied it to himself.

His arm, which had begun to feel hot and swollen, now felt relief as a cold, minty sensation spread through it, sharpening his senses and dispelling the effects of the poison.

"Next time," Silas warned as he rose to his feet, "Think."

Had they come across anyone less merciful, they both would have been dead.

One thing after another kept seeming to fall apart. How was she supposed to know they needed water to bury bodies? Wren had never needed to bury anyone, and it wasn’t like the Ark cared enough to waste resources on people who died. Small memorials were taken place but never burials. Artificial fruits and vegetables being grown so that people could eat was far more important than giving the dead ones a dirt blanket.

Harsh, maybe,

But thousands would’ve went hungry, Wren never agreed with her father’s plans, but sometimes they were necessary in order to survive. “Right. Fine. We deal with the bodies later, if you need an extra hand with medical, feel free to find me.” Wren was training to be a doctor at a young age, deciding to take after her mother instead of making the wrong moves in politics like her father. She could’ve let them know that, but enough people didn’t like her already, it wouldn’t look very good to brag now would it?

A voice yelled out about finding the supplies, Wren glanced around looking for him. Instead of finding the mysterious voice, her gaze landed on someone Wren thought she’d never see again. Dropping the metal hull at her feet, she pushed past the others and ran to CJ, wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug, making them both stumble forward. She didn’t say anything for the first few seconds.

It felt nice to have that familiarity again.

“I didn’t think I’d see you again after I got arrested.” A small chuckle left her as she pulled away from the hug, gesturing to one of the many trees. “Much less on Earth.” Wren’s eyes searched for any sort of injury, scanning CJ from head to toe. Mildly confused at the parts and pieces he’d picked from the ship.

“What’s all this? Tryna sell to the Aliens?”

"You should pray there is never a next time." Aktobehr snapped back. His eyes darted to the Azgedan. She hadn't come into the Trikru territory with him and his raiders, so why was she even here? Aktobehr was fairly certain that if there were other raiding parties he'd know about it. More likely, the girl was just a wanderer, hardly an Azgedan in anything other than name. He wasn't worried about her stabbing him in the back, she didn't really have any reason to, aside from Aktobehr just being a dick. That was probably fine though.

When the little one finally finished with whatever the hell he was doing, Aktobehr went collecting his weapons, moving sluggishly. However long it would take for that antidote to flush the poison from his system, it wouldn't be soon enough. Not by Aktobehr's standards. Until then, he didn't really have any other option but to stick with the Azgedan and the other two. If a patrol were to stumble upon him while he was still weak, he'd be as good as dead.

"If there even are people falling from the sky, what would you have us do? Talk to them? Kill them? Unite to face some new threat? The notion is ridiculous. This war won't end just because people are falling from the sky." He argued, crossing hims broad arms over his chest. "Azgeda won't halt their war for Trikru's problems."

CJ was ambushed by a hug, which normally would've been fine, but given the circumstances he was a little on edge. He jumped at first but the moment he realized it was Wren he eased up and laughed a little. He'd known she'd gotten arrested, but he had never really thought she'd be here too. It was good to have someone else here with him, even better that it just so happened to be a friend and not just a familiar face. When she teased him about his little pile of treasures, CJ shrugged. "Figured it might be a good idea to get everything I could before some meathead with ugly hair declares himself king of the jungle." CJ reasoned before adding, "Plus, everyone knows you're not gonna be much use, so someone has to pick up the slack."

He crouched down beside the junk, lifting up a few pieces of scrap to look at. He could maybe make tools? An ax to chop some wood or something? He didn't really know. He didn't even know where to start with all of this, he just knew that he needed to do something. He wasn't going to be like one of the others and just run around being useless, not until he was sure they were going to be alright down here. Plus, with dozens of criminals down here together, something was bound to go wrong sooner or later, what that'd be, CJ didn't really want to know.

CJ wrinkled his nose like he smelled something. "Jesus Wren, landing scared you so bad you shit yourself, huh?" He teased. To be fair, she started it. CJ needed something else to think about besides whatever mess they'd all just fallen into. Sitting around stumped trying to figure things out wasn't going to help him at all. Either way, it'd been too long since he'd been able to make fun of Wren and laugh a little. There was catching up to do.

Who did she think she was? She clearly didn't even have the courage to venture out but acted like she was tough. It was fake people like this that would end up being eaten alive soon enough.
"If you don't want the supplies then you are nothing but a fool. We won't survive out here so staying here is what is suicidal."
Staying here would be a waste of time and energy. She should be getting somewhere. It was also just impossible to plan out much when you knew nothing about the entire planet they were on.
However It didn't seem like she could convince the girl to come with her. So she'd just have to find somebody else.
"Fine stay here and grovel like a bitch." Schuyler said as she moved away and went to find someone else.
Perhaps she could find somebody who wasn't a complete idiot. Anyone who wanted to die was just a waste of space.

"Sadly I'm not magic," Mae replied to the one lad with a grin, "So we better find some supplies because I want to try moonshine." And heck did she. Looking around she took in the sight of all the other kids getting used to sensation of not being inside a floating metal tin anymore and it made her happy, and also happy that she was getting the be around people who weren't guards for the first time in what felt like forever. "I think that blonde girl over there might have been shouting about supplies you know, maybe she might be able to help get our fun going?" she suggested with a half shrug, "Although not having to make it would make things easier, but hey if we have to all the more fun."

When Clayton's eyes met hers and he introduced himself there was a glint in her eyes at the thought of mischief. That however, quickly faded with the next sentence out of his mouth. "Actually no I'm not Cassie's sister," Mae threw back at him with a slight scowl. "So it seems you're facts aren't all right there mister. Next time check them before you go announcing them to the world as gospel." With that she turned away and walked towards the girl who'd be shouting about supplies, gesturing for the farm boy to follow. "So Blondie, you wanna go find these supplies?"

Magnolia had never in her life felt as pissed with someone as she had with this girl. She was acting like Magnolia was being rude and unfair, but she had approached her and demanded her to do things. Her blood was boiling at this point, and she was beginning to only see red. She tried to shake it out of her system but calling her a fool had already pushed her. Instead of being a decent human she was being the biggest bitch she had ever met, and the blonde chick was a bigger fool than anyone else on the ground so far. Telling people to join her in the forest where they knew absolutely nothing about what was even out there just walking towards their deaths.

As the blonde walked away, she had assumed being called a fool was the worst of it. She was wrong. Blondie had caused a new war and a new rage inside of Magnolia. She could handle most names well and though she hated everyone as long as they left her be she was fine but this girl had to call her not one but two different names. Only one had caused a problem. Bitch. That was the word that set her off and she saw nothing but red in her vision, “Blondie!” her voice rang out above the chaos of everyone, “Don’t you dare act high and mighty when you no nothing!” she yelled as she directed her motions towards the girl, “You are literally the biggest hypocrite here, you know nothing about the ground!” she pushed past a girl with brown hair without saying a word before she was face to face with the blonde girl.

“You want to see a real bitch?” she threatened pushing the girl back. Pushing with all her force, “You want to act tough?” she pushed again, “You are as weak as they come” she pushed harder knocking the girl to the ground, “I have no fear of hurting someone for being rude, for acting like they can walk all over people!” she shouted. She could sense a crowd was around them and she wasn’t planning on stopping. She was ready to fully hurt this blonde chick, “You brought this upon yourself blondie. Don’t dish out what you can’t handle.” Her body was shaking with rage as she spoke her body ready to fully fight with this girl. Sure, she may have wanted to avoid any commotion but now it was time to show someone that they don’t mess with her. She was named after a flower, but she was anything but delicate.

Noah’s brow arched at the ominous words that left the other guy’s mouth. The inquisitive part of him wanted to pry for more information, but he quickly decided not to let anything rock his boat. The delinquents survived their voyage to Earth, despite not knowing if they’d survive landing or exposure to the open air. “You think there’s moonshine up on the mountain? It’s definitely worth a shot to find out.” Nothing intrigued Noah Anderson more than the prospect of an adventure and moonshine.

The girl’s words made him chuckle. “That’s too bad. We could have had one hell of a party tonight. Maybe we still can, but it’ll take a while to find what we need then get the moonshine going. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a good party.” It’s not like they had functions to go to while locked up.

Noah looked on curiously, as the two by his side interacted. His interest peaked with the mention of the brunette girl potentially having a sister, yet the possibility was quickly shot down. He snickered softly at how she reprimanded Clayton for spreading rumors. Something about the Sky Box certainly seemed to make all of them more hostile toward each other. He might have commented on the sibling conspiracy himself, but he preferred not to have his head bitten off for opening his mouth.

Before he could ask more questions, the brunette girl walked over to a blonde wanting to Mount Weather. Noah waited patiently for the pair to return, however, disarray quickly unfolded when the blonde got into it with another brunette. “Woah, woah, woah, what’s going on?” He exclaimed through the commotion, as the second brunette started shouting at the blonde. It became evident that Noah had missed something, but he hardly had the time to figure it out at this moment. There were more pressing matters at hand.

The young man glanced at the first brunette he spoke to then turned toward Clayton. “Is it just me or have girls gotten even crazier, since we’ve been in Lockup?” He asked with sarcasm, though there was some sincerity to his question. Noah felt torn between letting the second brunette release whatever pent up anger she had or stopping the situation from getting any worse. So he chose to tread lightly with the latter option.

“Hey, can you two settle this later? We kind of need the blonde in one piece right now.” He called over, unsure if either girl would even hear him. Noah glanced at Clayton with a furrowed brow. “You got any ideas for that? I’m not trying to hit a girl or get sucker punched on my first day on the ground.”

Schuyler had turned to find somebody else to join her to find these supplies and ended up going right into somebody offering to help.
Another girl had gone up to her with some boy and she asked if Schuyler wanted to find the supplies. Addressing her as Blondie.
“Blondie!” her voice rang out above the chaos of everyone, “Don’t you dare act high and mighty when you no nothing!” she yelled as she directed her motions towards the girl, “You are literally the biggest hypocrite here, you know nothing about the ground!” she pushed past a girl with brown hair without saying a word before she was face to face with the blonde girl.

Sure, she may have wanted to avoid any commotion but now it was time to show someone that they don’t mess with her. She was named after a flower, but she was anything but delicate.

Yet of course, the interaction with the wannabe tough girl couldn't have ended there. Just as Schuyler had begun to respond to the pair, she was immediately shoved to the ground.
The stuck up girl seemed to want to get into a fight. People seemed to think that blonde girls were these soft and weak girls who never got into fights. Schuyler was not one of these girls.
She got into plenty of fights growing up and she got good at fighting. She broke a girl's jaw once during school growing up.

Getting up off the ground, Schuyler had twisted her legs, sliding them under Magnolia's, tripping her onto the ground.
"Don't act tough. How many bones have you broken? How many scars have you left on someone? An eye for an eye." Schuyler said kicking her in the stomach while she was on the ground.
If this girl wanted to play dirty then by all means. Next time she wouldn't go easy on her. She was pathetic. A loud ape trying to fight against a snake coiling around her neck.
"Isn't it lovely, the ground? I think it's in your element to stay there. Well, this has been fun but I really don't have time to deal with this."
Turning back around without lowering her guard, Schuyler then responded to the other girl who had asked her if she wanted to find the supplies.
"I do want to find our supplies, let's go." She said smiling.
The more time she spent fighting people the sooner some animal would get into their supplies and they'd probably die of starvation or something.

Being sent down to Earth with ninety-nine other random strangers was definitely something that bothered Wren, you'd think it was the whole delinquent thing. She was never good at having friends, CJ was her best friend since she was a kid, and it was either pure luck he got sent down here, or her father might've had something to do with it. Wren didn't really care which of those it was, it was just really good to see him again.

That almost faded when he started to throw in his own insults which earned an eye-roll from the brunette. She missed him.

But not that much.

Wren punched him in the arm. Which, probably didn't have much force. She wasn't trying to hurt him after all. "Shut up. At least I don't look like a mess." Granted, after a little while incarcerated and then being sent down to a total different planet at countless miles per second. Wren doubts anyone here would look like a super model. She reached a hand out to ruffle his hair in an attempt to annoy him even further. "What? They didn't give you a hairbrush in that little cell?" Narrowing her eyes as she tugged at his light hair.

If anything, Clayton was confused. He hadn't thought that he had said anything to upset the girl, she looked like a carbon copy of Cassie. He had heard the rumors. Everyone had. Clayton had just figured the brunette wouldn't be looking to keep the Arks secrets any longer, keeping her own secrets private any more. There wasn't a point to hide it now, she was free to be herself... It clicked in his head, she likely didn't want to only be seen as her sister. The ground finally gave her a chance to be someone new. Still why would she want to forget about her family so quickly like that. "We shouldn't be far from Mount Weather.." Moonshine was probably the only answer at solving most of their problems at this point..

He watched her as she left, going to try to join the blonde on her adventures to find supplies. Clay rubbed the back of his neck, definitely not his best first impression. His attention was brought back to Noah as the girl stormed off. "I swear she looks exactly like Cassie." He stated, furrowing his eyebrows at Noah's comment about girls getting crazier. He turned to where Noah's gaze went.

Clayton couldn't forget that rage, not even if he had tried. ".. Mags?" He said softly, he hadn't known that she had been locked up in the sky box. He watched as the blonde knocked her down and walked away from Mags. He could see the furry in Mags' eyes, as she got up Clay knew she wasn't done. Magnolia would never be that easily stopped. "Fuck" He stated, killing each other the first day on the ground wasn't going to look well. "Yea.. I've got an idea." He sighed.

Getting in the middle of a fight that Magnolia was involved in, not his best idea, but he wasn't going to stand there and let her kill someone on their first day on the ground. He dashed off away from Noah as Mags began storming after the blonde. "Mags!" He yelled trying to get her attention. He grabbed her elbows from behind, drawing her backwards. "She's not worth it." He held on firmly, trying to avoid getting an elbow in the gut.

But one thing was for sure, if they all couldn't get on the same page, they weren't going to survive long down here.

Magnolia was livid to say the least as she fell to the ground. She was ready to murder this girl and she knew she would do it. Nothing in her brain told her it was a bad idea. She couldn’t get floated down there so there were no repercussions. She watched as the blonde walked away and she quickly got up. Her body was geared to really cause a scene when she felt two hands pulling her back. Magnolia began to pull harder until she heard the voice and stopped. She turned around and was face to face with him. Clayton Moore. His hands still keeping her from going after the blonde, because she knew the second, he let go she’d be after her again. He knew this too, he knew her well, unfortunately. “Why are you here?” anger seethed through her words.

On the Ark he literally never left her alone once they met. They were thirteen in detention and she had tried avoiding him then and he just kept throwing notes at her and she had ignored all of them. He had continued sitting with her at lunch, telling her different stories about different teens, telling her what his plans were for the weekend, he even invited her to hang out with him and his friends and her mom made her go. He drove her nuts, but she did tell him things because she had known him for three years, she couldn’t avoid not telling anything. She told him about what life was like for just her and her mom, she even mentioned some of her home life issues but she for the most part never talked back in the conversations that they had. She’d listen and always tell him she didn’t like people and yet his friends always sat with her. He drove her insane every day for three years and yet she never felt like hurting him. He was so nice to her and something in her wouldn’t let her hurt him. Now here he was again almost a year later, and he had changed just like she had. Yet, she still couldn’t hurt him even though her anger was coursing through her blood.

Her eyes were still full of anger as Clay pulled her away, “I want that bitch to pay, I’m going to kill her,” she still tried to pull away from Clay and she couldn’t he wouldn’t let her, “Why can’t you just leave me alone!” she raised her voice towards him, “You never help, you only make things worse. I’ve handled myself alone, without you, without my mom, for a year.” Clay had helped her keep out of fights while he stuck in her life but once she was in the skybox she no longer had anyone telling her to cool down or relax and she had managed herself just fine, at least she thought it was fine how she had handled herself. He really had never made anything worse he had kept her out of so much trouble and then once he got more busy she had gotten into more trouble until she had snapped about her mom’s abuser and took it into her hands and now here she was again face to face with the only person she knew well.

"You think I'd leave you on earth alone?" He smirked, laughing lightly he knew this statement would freak her out a bit. "I'm just kidding." Clay shook his head loosening his grip on her arm, but not letting go just yet. She was still on edge and he knew that. Gripping tighter again once she began to pull away. "No you don't." He leaned back pulling her back towards him. He let go of one of her arms turning her to face him before she could run away.

Clayton readjusted his grip for the umpteenth time, his hand slid down holding on to her wrists. "Come on Mags, if you killed her, everyone would come after you."

Mags was more firey than he remembered, but it was still the same Magnolia he had come to know on the Ark. She didn't want to be hurt, physically or emotionally. And she tried to prevent that by being so aggressively out right. Clayton accepted her for who she was, and if she ever wanted help, he'd be there for her. But he know it would have to come from her terms, still even then, he wasn't going to let her go around and kill people.

"You're better than that Mags." He sighed dropping his chin forward to his chest at her attempt to upset him. He wasn't going to let Mags tell him he was wrong for stopping her. He wasn't going anywhere. He lifted his head back up to look at Magnolia, rolling his eyes. "Come-on don't you want your first experience on the ground to something cool?"
