Realistic or Modern All in the Family - Character Sheets

It has been many months since the last iteration of this RP came to an end, but, at long last here we are, with an all-new All in the Family Rp.

I'll be honest, that sounded far more dramatic in my head.

I dunno why, but the idea of making character sheets made me think of this music, possibly because I've just been playing Mario Kart with Idio

This RP is for a closed group of people if you wish to join and are not already in the group then head to our Discord server: Join the Family Slice Of Life Discord Server! (Or if using the discord app enter the code w2BmQZm in the join server box). We will ask you to explain any character ideas you may have as well as possibly asking for other information such as an RP example. We also ask that you only apply if you are able to stay committed to the RP or at the very least can promise to tell us should you have to leave for any reason (be it leave permanently or temporarily), just so that we can work around your absence in a way that works for everyone. Anyone who creates a character sheet without first joining the discord will be declined no matter how good their CS is. If you want to join but don't have discord then PM me and we will see what we can do, though we would prefer that you do have discord just so that we can keep in contact more effectively as a group. The RP will be happening here on RPN, Discord is just really good at making OOC discussions easier. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Before moving on any further, let's get the boring stuff out of the way first

Okay, now that's over, let's get to the more exciting stuff.
Rather than focusing on one, small, time period, this RP will progress at a steady rate through multiple time periods. The RP will begin on Wednesday the 15th of December 1999. The Rp will continue at a steady pace until all RP members are ready to progress onto the next time period. When all members are ready to move on, a time skip shall be performed and RP will continue as normal.

This is where I'd usually post a CS skeleton, but as everyone who this is relevant to probably already knows their characters and some of you may have already prepared your CS I won't put one up. If you have any CS-related questions, come ask us in the Discord!

Current Occupation: Homicide Detective - As a homicide Detective Emily's main focus in investigating and solving homicides. However, she still works on more mundane police work too, especially if there are no currently active investigations. Due to the unpredictable nature of her work, Emily can theoretically be called in to work at any time.
Current Hobbies: Reading, Watching Movies/TV Shows, Anything that gives her time to relax or spend time with her family.

  Emily was born in Glangwili hospital in Carmarthen, a town in the small country of Wales at 08:14 am on September the 11th 1976. She lived with her mother, Angharad, Her Father, Emyr, her sister, Seren, and the family Dog, Dylan. Emily and her family lived in a house on the outskirts of Carmarthen, Angharad, stayed at home to take care of Emily and Seren while Emyr worked as an engineer. Life was simple for the family until January of 1980 when the company Emyr worked for closed their Carmarthen branch. The company offered Emyr the opportunity to keep his job, the only catch was that he would have to work in the Manchester branch. After many nights going over the pros and cons of the move, Emyr and Angharad decided that they could provide a more stable life for their kids if they accepted the offer and moved to Manchester.
  
  By August 1980, when Emily was just 3 years old, the family had packed up and left their life in Wales behind, moving on towards a new life in Manchester. By the time Emily had turned 4, she and her family were all settled down in their new life or at least, as much as they could be, having left so much behind. Seren had been enrolled in a school in Manchester, while Emily was still too young to start school. Emyr started his 'new' job, doing the same thing for the same company, just in a different place with different colleagues. The family's new house was now much smaller, although, with some adjustments, they managed to squeeze 3 bedrooms out of the house. Emily and Seren slept in the 2 bedrooms that were actually bedrooms and Angharad and Emyr converted the attic into a bedroom, though this was a lengthy process.

  Emily's life had barely changed after the move to Manchester, she was only 3 at the time after all and wasn't really old enough to fully comprehend what had happened. As far as she was concerned everything was the same, just in a different place.
  
  Emily started school in September of 1982 at the age of 5 and almost immediately she felt different, this was mainly down to her speech. She could talk well, especially for her age, but she had a rather thick welsh accent, which stuck out like a sore thumb in comparison to her classmates' Mancunian accents. On top of this, despite being bilingual, Emily had learned more Welsh than English which meant that she was quite a bit behind in terms of her language at her new, English only school. As time went on, Emily felt more and more alienated and started to be bullied at school due to her dialect, and so she refused to speak Welsh at all, even when at home with her family. Emily also put a considerable amount of effort into speaking 'normally' which consisted of her spending large amounts of time, sometimes in chunks of multiple hours, in her room alone, trying to imitate the accents of her classmates. Within a surprisingly short amount of time, Emily's Welsh accent was almost non-existent and her Mancunian accent sounded more and more natural. This did greatly improve her bullying situation at school but didn't completely solve it. Emily excelled in her classes and was top of her year in many of her subjects, eventually including English.

  When Emily progressed to secondary school in 1988 any semblance of her Welsh dialect had completely vanished. Unless you knew beforehand that she was born in Wales, by talking to her you would assume that she'd lived in Manchester her entire life. Despite this, her experience with bullies worsened in secondary school. They just no longer focused on her strange dialect. Emily endured the bullying for the entirety of her first year of secondary school, trying her best to keep her head down and avoid any attention. Over the summer holidays between Emily's first and second years in Secondary school, Dylan had to be put down, primarily down to his old age. When she moved up to year 8 (her second year of Secondary school), Emily noticed one of the boys who bullied her on a consistent basis bullying one of the new kids who'd just moved up from primary school. Without pausing for even a moment to consider her actions, Emily Marched over to the boy who was bullying the new kid and in a moment of blind rage threw a punch at his face. She had hit him much harder than she'd anticipated and the boy fell into a heap on the floor. Emily reassured the new kid and walked her to her registration class. Emily's hand hurt from punching the boy but she paid it no attention. Before lessons had even properly begun, Emily was called in to see the headteacher. Who, not knowing the proper circumstances, was furious with Emily for attacking the boy. The headteacher lectured Emily for a very long time, informing her that she'd managed to dislocate the boy's jaw and telling her that it wasn't very ladylike to go around attacking people. Despite Emily's best efforts to defend herself, she was suspended for a week. It later turned out that Emily had also broken her hand punching the boy.
  
  Her lecture on proper ladylike behaviour sparked a rebellious flame within Emily. She had her hair cut very short, which the school did not appreciate. Emily gradually became the definition of a tomboy. Emily's Bullies left her alone following her suspension, she took up sports, found herself a group of friends to hang out with, all of who were boys who thought they were 'hard' and strayed further away from focusing on her education and redirected her focus on to other 'activities'. Emily was consistently getting in trouble for picking fights with other kids on the school campus and her parents would receive numerous letters explaining how she was disruptive in class. Emily also became a nuisance outside of school and was arrested a couple of times under charges of petty crime such as vandalism, which was mainly graffiti related, and shoplifting, though she never stole anything worth much value. Thankfully, due to her age and the impressive diplomacy skills of her parents, Emily never received a criminal record. Emily also changed her name from her original welsh name to Emily, once she was old enough to legally do so, further distancing herself from her Welsh heritage.

  As Emily neared the end of her GCSE's she came out of her rebellious phase. She started to let her hair grow again, refocused on her studies and managed to stay out of trouble. Due to an incredible amount of effort, Emily managed to just scrape a pass in all of her GCSE's which no one saw coming. By the time Emily had finished her GCSE's Seren had already moved out of the family home and had her own place back in Wales. In the summer of 1993, following the bankruptcy of the company that Emily's father worked for, Emily's parents decided to move to New York in America. Emily, figuring that it would be good for her to get a fresh start, decided to move with them, despite having been offered a place to stay with Seren in Wales.
  
  Emily and her parents found a nice little place in Albany, New York and Emily started to think about her future and what she wanted to do with her life. After many hours of research and soul searching, Emily decided that she wanted to dedicate her life towards helping others. She wanted to become a doctor. She spent hours researching what qualifications she'd need and trying to find a course that would take her, but to no avail. One day, whilst trawling through numerous college courses, Emily applied for a medical course in a college located in Michigan, and they accepted her application, though they didn't accept her for her first choice, which was a medical course, they had, however, accepted her on her second choice, Law Enforcement. Considering that nowhere else had accepted her for anything, Emily decided to go and study Law Enforcement in Michigan.
  
  Emily moved out of her parents' house and managed to find herself some small, cheap student accommodation not too far from the college campus. Despite her student loan, Emily decided to get herself a job and managed to find herself a small part-time job in a grocery store just down the road from her accommodation. She dedicated herself to her studies and had next to no social life. As she progressed to her last year of college, Emily managed to find herself a small flat to rent which wasn't super expensive. It was further away from college and from her work but it was completely hers. She rode her bicycle to and from College and work every day. She saved up enough to pay for driving lessons and passed both her college course and her driving test with flying colours. Though, she couldn't afford a car and was unable to get a job with the police due to her age. On top of that, she found herself unemployed as the store she worked at employed students of the college pretty much exclusively.
  
  After some time searching, Emily managed to find herself another job, working as a lumberjack. It wasn't really what she had in mind, but it just about paid the bills. It was tough, to begin with, but she quickly built up the stamina and strength and the job seemed no harder than her previous shop job. Eventually, tired of having to live so frugally just to make ends meet, Emily found herself a second job, working at a hardware store, to help add to her income. She worked chopping wood most of the day and then would spend her evenings at the hardware store. It was tiring and didn't leave her with much free time, but the monetary breathing room it created was worth it.

  In the buildup to Christmas in 1998 Emily found herself stranded inside a book store due to a violent snow storm outside which trapped her and a dew other people inside the building, waiting for the storm to pass, to make matters worse, someone had practically flattened her bike which was her one and only form of transport. That someone was a man called Tobias. Emily and Tobias kept eachother company while they waited to be freed from the book store, discussing authors and playing games. The time they spent together in that store made Emily feel a little bit like a kid again and the two quickly formed a bond.
  
  Emily passed her college course with flying colours and was soon offered a job in the local police department as a trainee, along side her academic success, her relationship with Tobias flourished at an exceptional rate. By the middle of the year 2000, the pair were married and had their first child, a beautiful baby boy called Anthony. Emily had never really seen herself as someone who would be all that family oriented, but with Tobias literally crashing into her life and the arrival of their son, Emily's perspective on that shifted dramatically. She now found that with pretty much every decision she made her priority was how it would affect her family and, while she was still extremely dedicated to her work, she lived for the time she was able to spend with her small family.
  
  Just over 2 years after Anthony, Emily and Tobias had another son, Liam. By which time Emily was a fully fledged police officer which gave her a more stable income and allowed her to quit her part time jobs as a hardware store employee and a lumberjack, which gave her less exhausting hours to work and allowed her to narrow her focus to the one job, her husband and her 2 baby boys. For the next few years things settled down in Emily's life. She worked and watched her boys grow.
  
  Then, in late May of 2006, Emily was offered a promotion to Detective. The offer came with an almost doubled salary among other perks but would require her to relocate to Albany, New York. After talking it through with Tobias, Emily accepted the offer and the search for their new home began. Not long after accepting the promotion, Emily discovered that she was once again, pregnant.
  
  Emily and Tobias eventually found their new home and, despite some complications and an enforced short stay in the hospital, Emily and Tobias' 3rd child, a little girl named Lilly, was born just before their first Christmas in the new house.
  
  Emily settled into her new job pretty quickly and settled into her new routine. But her life still revolved around her, now not so small, family.

Being that she is the picture of Southern Belle, her thick accent is also something that can catch you off guard. Super creative, slightly opinionated (she usually keeps it to herself), bluntly honest, wildly passionate and a rowdy lady to party with. She describes herself as a Baptist Christian, though she doesnt go to a church, and stays home to do studies. She doesnt like too much of her family, so she may seem cautious when she asks to do something as a family.

History When she was born she was born deaf at first her parents couldn't tell at first until she was one month she had a screening test. Her parents found out she couldn't hear out of one of her ears her mother didn't like the idea of her daughter is deaf so when they got home her mother packed her bags and left that day Ellie never really understand why her mother had left her. Sometimes she has trouble speaking she doesn't really like how bullies make fun of her deaf accent she usually uses sign language but with her friends, she speaks she had taken speech therapy it had took her years of therapy to learn how to speak she uses her hearing aid for her friends and father but she doesn't like using it since it hurts her ear it gives her some irritation.

Personality
She's very quiet when it comes to meeting new people but when with her friends and family she tends to be loud. She is very caring, she has a big heart but with a big heart, she manages to get hurt a lot easier than others. She is also very insecure about herself and doesn't think she's pretty enough like her mom or the others girls at school. She is loving to anybody she meets though she is shy and often doesn't know what to say.
