Appearance: Medium build, with lines beginning to show on his face, and thinning brown hair that is beginning to grey. Dr. Howard can typically be seen wearing a dark colored button down shirt covered with an accent colored sweater vest with a pair of ironed brown trousers. His sleeves were normally rolled up to his elbows and his black oxfords shined slightly in even the dimmest light. Around his neck, was a pair of glasses that he only used for reading. His icy grey eyes gave away the false sense of security and warmth that his smile showed. He always has a cane with him for his limp, due to his left leg injury.

History: Dr. Howard has a Master's and PhD in Psychology, specializing abnormal psychology and internal medicine. Transferring to John's Hopkins after finishing his undergraduate schooling at Dartmouth, he not only became the Chief Psychological Resident, but taught several courses at the University in different areas; including developmental psychology, abnormal psychology and English. One day there was a horrific car accident involving Howard and his wife and children, where a drunk driver lost control of his car during a stormy night. The truck t-boned the passenger side killing his wife instantly and slamming the car against a telephone pole, his oldest son's head cracked through the window due to the impact. This impact caused the pole to topple on top of the car and Dr. Howard attempted to struggle to the back seat where his younger daughter was. But it was too late, as he watched her life fade away as her blood drained from the gash on her side, due to part of the door stabbing her. This accident caused the man to throw himself into his work, where his deeply hidden mental illness started to show. Sensing this, he requested to be sent to Alcatraz, that was newly opened. During the beginning years of Alcatraz, several students had gone missing and rumors floated around that Dr. Howard was the cause but it couldn't be proven.

Personality: Before the accident, he was a charming and humble man, who would've given you the shirt off his back if he knew it would have helped. After the accident, he became bitter, cynical and manipulative. Luring one into a false sense of security only to destroy their sense of humanity.

Anything else posed as useful: He obtained his mind-reading powers during the accident, after he lost consciousness and was pronounced clinically dead for five minutes. Miraculously, they were able to revive him and along with minor motor skill damage, leaving him with partial loss of movement in his left leg, it also unlocked a part of his brain that now allowed him to read minds. Due to this, he now experiments on others that show signs of abnormality in order to figure how the powers come about.

Student/Patient: Has been a "student" for a while, he doesn't exactly realize its not a normal place.

Reason sent to Alcatraz: Has delusions of the world, claims to see a different universe overlapping theirs.
He attacked someone in public, and claimed he was killing a demon. People don't take physical assault very well (Who knew?).
Someone at the "school" decided to take a closer look into his delusions, and discovered that they weren't all psychological.

Knesis/Psychic Power: He can see small snippets of other dimensions crossing briefly into ours and react with them physically
(say if he sees an object from another dimension, and grabs it fast enough he can bring it into this reality).

Appearance: Benny is just your average looking teen. He's a little short for his age, but other than that perfectly average. Brown eyes,
light brown hair (kept short except for the top of his head where his hair is a bit wavy and lightly longer), he's pretty pale, but that
doesn't do much when you're already white. He's always wearing a plain t-shirt, sweatpants, and will be barefoot whenever he can.

History: Benny had a decent childhood, grew up with a Mom and a Dad, a little sister too. He started having delusions around the
age of 14. His parents tried their best to be supportive, but the crazy can get a little too crazy. A week before his 15th birthday, he had
the incident where he attacked a middle aged man on the streets while he was on his way to school. Everyone decided that it was best if
Benjamin was admitted, that way he could have eyes on him at all times.

Personality: Before the delusions Benjamin was quiet, and polite. After he became loud, and found it difficult to put a filter on what he was
saying. He may come off as crude, but he's just curious at heart.

When he isn't focused on being a nuisance, he'll be found talking to himself in the hallways, or doing other odd things that don't make too
much sense to others (they may make sense if you watch close enough). Benny also has a knack for sweet foods, usually finding them in strange
places. He might share if asked.​

Appearance: He's about 6'1" and average weight, boasting an athletic frame and thick dark hair. He has a beard that he keeps pretty closely trimmed, but still covers his full face. Blue eyes. While at work he wears a three-piece suit, but when off the job he prefers jeans and a tee-shirt

History: Jim's powers didn't manifest until late in life. He was always an underachiever, something that caused a lot of strain with his type A parents. They would always belittled and heckle him for wanting to work in the humanities or maybe just skip college all together, "You'll never have nay money and you'll just die alone." Now the tipping point of when his powers activated, he isn't 100% sure. He felt odd things happening around him, people acting strangely, and in the way he would want them to. The point at which he realized his powers himself was in a particularly nasty fight fight with his parents, they lost all ability to form coherent sentences. They only regained the ability once he left. While trying to experiment with his powers, he found he could turn them in on himself. While he was always a pretty bright guy, he found he could increase his own intelligence.. With this new power in tow, he set out to get his M.D and become a neurologist, hoping to learn more about how to use his powers. After years of being a well sought after researcher, he was approached by Dr.Howard and offered a job at Alcatraz, one he happily accepted. He is very motivated to learn how these powers work, and what role the brain may play in it.

Personality: Quit and reserved, he carries resentment towards those in STEM fields and notes the irony as his own field of study is considered STEM

However she can only control people who can hear her speak, she must talk, they must be alive, people with a high intelligence are able to fight back)

Appearance: Netanya is 5”3 and rather thin much like a twig. She has brown eyes that match her long brown hair which she always wears in a fishtail braid. She has scars on her body from self harm and abuse. She has gorgeous olive skin that always looks like it is well moisturised and looked after. She usually sticks with converse, black jeans, and a button up blouse. She has no piercings or tattoos although she has always wanted to get her ears pierced and rebel from her parents.

History: Netanya was brought up in a not so supportive family. Whilst growing up with her three older brothers and her parents, she was often beaten and framed for things she didn’t do. She was that disappointment and the accident that happened whilst her parents were on vacation in her mother’s eyes. This of course is not her real family, her biological family had died when their family’s home went up in flames, no one knows why but people have their suspicions. Netanya never went to school, her parents said that they could not afford it after sending their three sons to school but as she grew older she could see that they did have the money but chose for their daughter to miss out on a perfectly good education. At age 12, she began to learn how to read and write. As she was learning these things she became more aware of the abilities she had. It started when she had an argument with her friend, they weren’t that close (in his eyes) but she considered her to be very special. They talked to each other over the fence in their small backyards. Netanya grew to like the boy that she had talked to for months until she saw him have a girl over and he stopped talking. She didn’t like the idea so when he came back to talk to her, she didn’t want to hear it and told him to kill himself. Not a moment later he walked into his father’s shed and shot himself. Sure, you could say that he took it literally and he did it and it wasn’t supernatural at all after all that’s what Netanya had told herself for a long time until it kept happening except on a lower scale. She made people cry, she made people kiss, she made them do embarrassing or stupid things. Until one night when she was 16. She was watching TV when her three brothers and her father beat her and raped her while her mother just watched, this is what made her snap. She had an idea of her abilities, either she was going to look stupid or she could finally stop this. Let’s just say it was violent and when the police and forensic officers came to investigate they were shocked when they found her watching TV in their blood. (May or may not be revealed later on)

Personality: Netanya is rather quiet, she hasn’t found any friends since the family event. She doesn’t smile very often but it’s the small little things that make her smile like seeing little children being happy. Netanya is rather smart for someone her age and with the history, she isn’t the smartest out there but she is among the top few. She prefers to keep to herself, she doesn’t tell people how she feels in case she develops feelings for them. Netanya also has a weird fascination with Africa by Toto, some say it’s the song that was playing when she killed her parents and siblings but she knows the reason why.

Kit grew up in a city in the Midwest. She was abused physically, emotionally, and sexually by her father. Kit grew up in a house that was completely okay with corporal punishment. Her father took a scary stance on corporal punishment. Instead of spanking his daughter or hitting her, he cut her fingertips. This was obviously traumatizing for a young Kit, who saw her blood every time she did something her father didn't approve of. The trauma mixed with the blood triggered her powers, and she learned to control the blood with her mind. She didn't learn to control others until her little brother was born and her father did the same to him. Then she started taking over his body and controlling him. Soon, she had a puppet. She used her then-5 year old brother to kill her father and drain him of all of his blood. She was quickly caught for the crime, confessed immediately, and was sent to Alcatraz.

Personality:
Kit is strong and cold. She plays games with people, either with their bodies or with their heads. She will take control of their bodies and force them to dance for her or play with them, answering their questions in riddles or contradicting herself every time she speaks. Kit isn't crazy, she's bored. She admires people who are intelligent, and tends not to play with people she deems as smart. Kit hates everyone else. However, Kit is still very young. She can get emotional if tired or caught off guard.

Kinesis/Psychic Power: Switching consciousness -his consciousness can enter another person where he is like a visitor and vise versa, he can also overpower peoples minds with that power but it makes him weak and tired and works only on a small number of people at once.

Appearance: has layered light brown hair almost reaching his chin, pale skin, green/blue eyes, is 6’0 tall, 135 lbs, skinny but more in a slender/lanky kind of way. Sasha is a pretty boy type who smiles a lot to hide his thoughts. He loves wearing bright colors (mostly he loves red clothes) and is often seen with a lollipop in his mouth.

History: when he was four years old, he was kidnapped by a psychotic man which then raised him. He lived in a small cellar and rarely got to go out of it let alone outside the house which stood on the outskirts of a medium-sized town. Since he had been taken at such a young age he had no idea that the way he was raised was horrible and cruel, to him the slight torture and bad treatment he received was normal especially since he had no one else to compare it to. Sure he disliked the pain he received whenever his captor or ‘father’ as he called him was in a bad mood or when he did something wrong but with the years he got used to it and saw it as normal as well. He never learned about right and wrong or evil and good so he often did things people would call horrible without him knowing it was bad at all. He would sometimes even do something evil in order to help someone or something good that would, in the end, hurt someone horribly.

When he turned fifteen he was taken outside the house for the first time in years and his ‘father’ even took him out into town since by then he was already listening to every word his father said to him or did anything his ‘father’ told him to do. There in town, a girl flirted with him severely and his ‘father’ invited her to their home. There the man started torturing the girl and explained to him that it was because no one had the right to touch the boy without his permission. In the end, the man ordered him to kill the girl and since he could never bring himself to refuse the man he did what he was told. That was when he first discovered his power, he was curious at what was going on in his ‘fathers’ head and suddenly he was inside the mans mind, like a visitor he could see through the mans eyes and see every thought going through the mans head like a film and later on he realized he could reverse it so others could see the same with him. He often helped his father abduct and kill girls and guys Sasha's age after that, until the day they were caught and surrounded by the police. He was confused since he had no idea that what he had been doing had been wrong, so he of course resisted arrest, which is where he discovered yet another side to his power, he could overpower peoples minds and make them faint. Of course, he was still caught and arrested but his father managed to escape, so subconsciously he is hoping that his father will come to free him from Alcatraz.

Personality: Confused, energetic, amoral, impulsive, direct, can be a bit naive, irrational, smiles a lot, you could say he is also somewhat of a sociopath/psycho,...

Anything else posed as useful: He knows a lot of random facts even if for some he doesn't know the emotional meaning behind them. Despite being raised by his kidnapper he is smart since he had a lot of time to read books but he doesn't like to let people know that so he lets people think whatever they want to.

Teacher/Orderly: Miss Wilson is a nurse for Alcatraz, she has been for a
long while.

Nurse Tilly was hired as an aid for helping control the kids who lose their
control. She has no other powers, and has spent her life training with her
powers (ethically of course) to the point where it almost always will work on
the younger patients (15 and under) and has a 60% success rate with helping calm
and influence the rest of the children. Anyone above the age of 19 has too
much of a developed brain for her to use her powers.

Appearance: Nurse Tilly stands tall at 5"9, and is of average weight. She has
red hair (with some greying throughout) that is always put back into a messy bun. She has
brilliantly colored green eyes, and a smile that could give you cavities (so sweet!) She has
some defining wrinkles, mostly smile lines, and crows-feet. She can be seen wearing light
pastel colored button up shirts, along with black slacks. She speaks with a soft Scottish Brogue.

History: Tilly was very young when she found she could influence people. But because of how she was raised she vowed to never
use her powers unethically. She was in her early thirties when she moved from Scotland (she was a teachers aid at a local school)
and was hired by the school. Even before it was changed, she was a well liked worker. Even children at boarding schools can lose control.
She was never married,nor has any children of her own, but she doesn't mind because the school is her life.

Personality: Tilly is kind, thoughtful, and very stubborn. She has an amazing sense of empathy, and plenty of compassion to hand out.
She is very tentative, and has a knack for calming people down, even without her powers. She is well known for being great with younger
children, but she loves working with all ages. Tilly is also very hardheaded, and persistent. When something needs to be done, she will see to it.
She usually is smiling, but she does also have a "no-nonsense" stare.

Appearance: Jennifer is 5'4", and has a fair skin tone. Her hair is blonde and is cut short down to her chin. She usually has her hair down, and wears square-rimmed glasses. Her usual attire is in a lab coat and jeans.

History: Jennifer has been mentally unstable since her childhood, undermining her incredible intellect. Her father was a typical drunkard, while her mother was insane. She was sexually abused by her father, while she was forced to listen to her mother's screaming hysterics every single night. She tried to kill herself many times, but always failed, only succeeding in covering her dresses with blood. When she was 12, she met a stranger that offered her a chance at education in exchange for her body. She was able to finish college at 18, a PhD at Education, Major in Communication Arts, Minor in Psychology. When she finally found a job, she found the joy of teaching.
One night, when her guardian was using her, she found a sharp knife on the bed and, in one slash, bathed in the blood of her benefactor. She felt a new surge of power course through her, breaking down all her mental barriers. She found that she loved this feeling, the sight, the scent, the afterglow.
She continued to teach, but one of her students refused to obey her. She sat him down and tried to counsel him, but to no avail. So she assailed his mind with a large flux of information on his actions and their consequences. She did not realize she was doing so until the child was mentally broken, murmuring silent bits of trivial knowledge.
To protect her students, she requested to be sent to Alcatraz, which was readily approved due to a rising number of cases that was similar to what she did, but no one has ever proved it was her.

Personality: A bubbly woman with a switch. She is kind and caring to everyone, but when she is angered, she turns berzerker and should be kept away from sharp objects and unprotected minds.

Spent his childhood in LA , when he was only 12 years old his mother got killed by a mexican gangsta named "Richardo", his father tried to take her revenge from him, his father killed that person but he got arrested by cops with reason of killing people. Lucho lived with his big brother "Domingo", he was 25 years old and put him in the gang to sell some drugs and earn some money, till the age of 20 he did many illegal jobs without getting arrested, his brother one day planned for an armed robbery in LA from a jewelry store, they got problems with cops while escaping from the store, lucho shot one of cops and killed him, they continued chasing him and got him somewhere around LA, from that time he didn't hear anything from his brother.

Personality: Smart, friendly, likes to get respected, sometimes rude.

Appearance: Break has black and white hair and is almost always sent wearing dark clothes with a long old English styled trench coat. His hair covers the left side of his face, barely hiding the eye patch covering his left eye. He has pale skin and long arms.

History: Break grew up in an abusive household. His father always bringing home 'clients from work' or 'friends' both men and women. His mother a run down housewife, no longer good for her husband and beaten at a moments time for no reason. Once his father deemed his mother no longer worthy of his 'love' he set his sights on Break. Break was abused and raped for years until he turned 17 and he couldn't take it anymore. He had set fire to his high school and then to his home, which included his mother and father both, within minutes of each other. He spent a year on the streets before officials from Alcatraz found him and brought him to the school.

Personality: From the outside, Break seems like a carefree character, never serious and always smiling. When needs be, however, Break shows his dangerous and evil side. He dislikes large crowds, group projects, being told he is wrong and loud people. He like to read, write, being left alone, and cats.

Anything else posed as useful: He often finds cats in the wild and sneaks them back into the dorms. The voices in his head often leads him to starting small fires, and stopping time in order to fuck with others.

Appearance: very thin and pale, their skin is always freezing to the touch. Ian has pink/white hair that falls down to their jaw, their hair cut unevenly giving off a choppy, unkempt look. Their eyes are a bright yellow with blue specs around the pupil. Julian rarely has clothing that fits them, often wearing shorts and a large shirt of some kind hiding their bony body.

History: Julian being an ambiguous looking child wasn't very popular with their fellow students and often bullied. One day as Julian was walking home they were grabbed and pushed into a wall, Julian slipped between the attackers arms and ran into the crowd crying for help only to be caught and held to the ground and beaten. A crowd started to form around the children's fight Julian pushing back but not accomplishing much against their stronger foe. Julian began screaming trying to move away they let out a shout "ENOUGH" the student attacking them fell lifeless on top of Julian blood pouring out of his mouth. It turned out that Julian had filled the attackers lungs with so much air they expanded and popped against the rib cage. They showed remorse and guilt for the incident and were immediately sent to Alcatraz for observation, and evaluation.

Personality: Kind, emotional hates raisins and loves sweets. Julian thinks of themselves as a villain due to the incident they were involved in therefore isolates themselves from other people. is quiet and shy at first.

Anything else posed as useful: Julian is extremely flexible, and very nimble. They have amazing knowledge when it comes to combat, but they physically lack the strength in order to use it.

History: Raised in a seriously emotionally abusive home and was abandoned at 15 by his drug addicted mother, lives in the streets but does his best to attend high school before being arrested after being found guilty of the murder of one of his classmates. Has an intense fear of being hated and there fore does his best to be in everyone's good graces. When he was ten years old he discovered a manga called Psyren in which he discovered a power called "The Door of Melchsees", after finding it he wished he could have it or something similar, through his wish granting ability he was able to inherit the ability as well as it's limitations as he saw them in the manga.

Personality: Shy, empathetic, sensitive, closed off, not very trusting, attentive, very kind, always wants to help

Appearance: Kitty has porcelain pale looking skin that's absolutely flawless. She has Choppy blonde hair that she mostly wears tied up with a red ribbon and had strikingly blue eyes that seems to pierce through ones soul. Her outfit mostly consists of a white tube top with blue seams and ties around her neck, short denim shorts with a black belt wrapped around her waist, a tight red leather jacket, and a pair of black boots that go past her ankle by a couple inches.

History: She has spent most of her time avoiding law enforcement due to an incident that had happened when she turned 10 years old. On her 10th birthday, the voices in her head starting getting louder and more aggressive to the point that she'd pass out. When she woke up, Kit was covered in blood and standing over her parents lifeless bodies. Her parents weren't very nice to her to begin with. They went so far as to claim she was the spawn of satan all because Kitsune threw a picture frame at her father with her mind. In the past, they've even tortured her to try and uncover the truth. So when she saw her dead parents, she started laughing histarically while clutching the side of her head. The voices in her head were praising her for being such a "good girl" as she made her escape and left town. But she couldn't run forever. She just about murdered a couple kids because they were making fun of her. But before she could do anything, Kitty was tackled by an older man that was apparently undercover and was tracking her down. And that's how she ended up at Alcatraz.

Personality: Kitsune is a very unstable person who doesn't take kindly to people telling her what to do. She is an extremely intelligent person and usually thinks before she acts, unless one of her 2 personalities take control. Kira is the worst one. History: Has been passed around throughout the system since she was 8 before landing in Alcatraz. 'Trust no bitch' is her motto. Very aggressive and sarcastic, always clashing with the other students and faculty. She is half Korean on her mother's side and a quarter Spanish and Scottish on her father's.

Personality: Edge lord. Will cut you. Don't touch her hair. Trust issues. Black coffee.

Anything else posed as useful: her shadows can serve as pocket dimensions where she can hide things and people indiscriminately. She can also use them to fight, lift things for her and to transport her places. They are frighteningly fast but can be dispelled by turning off any shadow casting lights. (So like complete darkness.)

History: Ryn doesn't remember much about her life before her crimes but what she does remember is that she once had a brother, it was just them out on the streets most of their life. After losing control of her powers and committing her crimes she lost track of his location and seems to think she has killer him.

Personality: Ryn usually keeps to herself and can be seen looking fearful most of the time (Mostly scared of herself). She will always flinch away from physical contact and likes to keep her distance from people. She can sometimes be kind, clumsy, creative and a bookworm when she feels safe or at a point where she feels like she is not a danger. Overall she is a broken person who wants nothing more then to just disappear or lose her so called 'powers'

History: Hecate was.. raised differently than other children. At the age of 3, he was sold of to the mafia as his parents were in so much debt. At 5, Hecate was starting to be trained to be a killer later for the Mafia. Over those next 5 years, Hecate was taught to use almost any weapon, it being guns or sharp objects, to kill or incapitate people. The only way he could learn all of that, is because of some special things that helped him. A few months ago, however, Hecate was caught and stored in anything that could hold him. After him almost escaping at so many prisons, he was finally sent here.

Personality: Very quiet, and whenever he speaks it’s in a whisper; doesn’t convey emotions very well, as he was taught to hide them when killing as they got in the way

History: Niko was raised by his aunt and uncle because his parents left him at their front door as soon as he was born. They took good care of him but in school he was always bullied because he was a skinny kid as well as a loner, so in school he had a very hard time, it went so far that he almost died as a prank went too far and he almost got run over by a train. He then discovered his power when the next day he jelled »Adam Brice! I hope you die in a horrible car crash that's gonna leave you in pieces so even your mother won't recognize you!« at the boy that had caused Niko to almost die and just an hour later everything he had said happened. Of course people had heard about what happened and Niko had to run away so they wouldn't have turned him into the police. He lived on the street for a while and used his power of persuasion to survive, he even had to use his Necrokinesis a few times since life on the streets was rough, until he made a close friend and moved in with him. One day he and his friend had a horrible fight and in his state of pure anger Niko said something he could never take back again, that friend died just a few minutes after the fight and Niko was so distraught over it he tried to end his life by jumping of a bridge. The cops found him in time and send him to Alcatraz.

Personality: He is a bit scard from his past and so tries to avoid people he thinks might anger him enough to forget himself (he has very little control over his powers), He is a bit shy with people he doesnt know yet but once he gets to know them he shows his true self, he doesnt care much about lives (not even his own) unless its the lifes of people he consideres close to him (friends, lovers, etc...) they mean a lot to him and every time they are hurt or mistreated he feels horrible or angry and wants to help. He has moments where he just does something without thinking and once he knows someone well enough he likes to talk to them and spend time with them while otherwise, he doesn't mind to be alone (as long as it's not for too long). He recently started to stand up for himself when people try to mess with him and so while he is usually kind he can also be your worst enemy (because of the lack of control over his powers).

Anything else posed as useful: He likes to talk to himself under his breath when he wants to comment on something but doesn't want to draw attention or interrupt someone. He is good at sneaking around and sometimes likes to sneak up on people to surprise them or simply to ’spy’ on them (listen to their conversations and such) since in his mind information is power, a way of thinking he picked up on the streets, especially since he is physically less strong than most guys his age.​

Appearance: James is deathly pale, has blood red hair with dyed dark pink stars on the sides, and his eyes are ice or royal blue depending on the lighting. He's slim, and only 5 ft 4. He typically wears red jeans, a white shirt, and a pink and red jacket. His shoes are usually white or black depending on the day.

History: When James was only 5 it started. He was out on the streets, shopping with his mommy when he looked up at the sky and said "Mommy! Mommy! That building is burning!" He looked terrified, but when the woman looked nothing was happening. She took it as her little boy just being over active with his imagination. Five days later, the building burned down, and collapsed.

They tried to get James to grow out of his 'phase' and they thought he did. In reality, he'd just stopped telling them. Stopped reacting to the nightmares that constantly woke him up at night. By the time he was eleven his mind snapped, not being able to talk about all the things that he saw took a toll on him.

He would constantly mumble about events that'd come to be, and tried as hard as he could to be normal. He stopped sleeping, as the nightmares grew too great for him to handle at all. He didn't think it could've gotten worse.

When he was 14, he saw his own parent's murder and tried to warn them but they wouldn't listen. He was left alone and after an hour or two tried to find them, but he couldn't, not until he saw them getting gutted.

He ran away and hid in his room, until he saw the same two people outside his window. He tried to get out through the back door, but the men had moved quicker and one was at the back. He panicked and grabbed a knife stabbing both of them to death when they came too close. He was found on his own the next day, crying and whimpering about his visions. They were only able to hold him for a year or two before he was sent away to Alcatraz.

Personality: James is quiet, and mumbles incoherently sometimes, he is capable of being kind, but chooses to only care for those who need it. His silence can be misinterpreted as being rude.

Anything else posed as useful: If James is in a situation serious enough he can see some (but not all) traps or set ups.
