Fantasy Adventures in Alisar

Silver Wolf

Something Random
fantasy-1465938_960_720.jpg

  • On the western side of the continent of Ravin is a land known as Alis this land is dominated by seas and islands, but the islands come from a mainland empire who had "united" them long ago. Alis is a land where each island or grouping of islands is unique. It is an oddly varied place, but there is a question arising among the islands. Is the empire really stable anymore?

The Alisar Empire has been thriving, but the islands aren't. Demor Island is still in a state of perpetual anarchy full of still dangerous beings and home to a still independent state.

The Kamina islands are falling into decline with the leaders there becoming less and less compitent of ruling people, and Alisar's emperor is thinking of using the islands more than he already is.

To boot even the mainland is having problems, but they're far more complex and harder to notice. Most of them are political issues, but still have potential to wreak havoc.

For the most parts things are calm and it seems like nothing bad could happen, but a timebomb unkown to many is beginning to tick. Once it blows, Alisar will fall to chaos.

Beginning - Arc 1
It was just another day in Kevas, the Alisar Empire's massive trade hub through the rest of the islands. People of all sorts bustled through. Businesses of all kinds were found there as well. Anything from normal stalls to clear signs of the slave trade happening where slaves would be sent to resource-filled areas for cheap labor on highly dangerous work.

No one knew who was wandering the streets. People from all over the empire were there. Traditional dresses of all kinds were shown. The modest and simple kimonos of the Kamina islands, the robes of the various elvish, and even the more odder traditional dresses of many of the other island natives throughout Alisar all mixed in with the mainland's people who wandered the port city.

More guards were walking around though, and rumors of some kind of cultist activity was rampant around the city. Whether it was the Sololei, the Void Eye Cult, or another couldn't be said. Both were issues anyways and both famous for being either underground or dark in nature. Neither was a good option, but for the most part the days of the citizens were undisturbed. Despite being underground, the Sololei were more lawful and the most common.

Taverns litterred the port area still filled with sailors and soldiers of all times looking for a drink or a companion after a long voyage that could last months. A few Jilvan ships littered the coast lines with the dark elves, humans, or beastinari with sand mammal features sitting around the ship. The Jilvans were highly protective of their merchandise and practices out of suspicion of the empire. It was also sensible since they were one of the only independent kingdom among the islands.

The walls aside the ports lead to beaches with large amounts of coves and caves used for various reasons. Many still unexplored at large, so locals were asked to keep away from them. Some ships stocked there, but usually vanished quickly as Alisar didn't like unregistered ships.

The cobbled streets of the city going farther inland were full in the mornings as people departed with carts and carriages for various reasons, but they were smaller lately. It made sense too, since the islands made up most of Alisar's lands, but there was something happening on various islands. Rumors flew around, but they quickly died out. It was beginning to excite people though. Even though they lived by the sea, they got information from everywhere. Any island was subject to gossip and suspicion.

Alaya Lucilia Gladwyn
Port City Kevas, Docks

Boxes of dried meat and spices and a very large package of dried miso were being carried up on to a beautiful and small battleship, the ANS Tempest. Well, we say carried, but about 3/4th of the cargo aren't being carried by men, but by invisible wind spirits. As they go onto the ship, the cargo is being brought to a variety of places. One of the men from the docks climbed up the plank and stepped foot onto the deck of the well known crewless ship. Thankfully there was an actual captain he could talk to and not a ephemeral existence. On the top deck by the wheel stood a young lady clad with fashionable clothing suitable to an imperial captain and a saber.
"Captain Gladwyn! We'll begin boarding the precious cargo." "Thank you. I'll show you where to take it too."

Alaya walked down the steps and led the man past the floating boxes toward the bunks. As she opened the door, the man expected to smell the odor of sweat and poor hygiene, but nothing came out. Taking a look in would reveal that all the bunks have been taken out and that it was turned into a small lounge and storage.
"Just put them in here. Please be careful, the cargo is my life's sustenance." Alaya said with a grin before walking out. The man assumed that the cargo was along the lines of booze and wine, and he wouldn't be wrong, but Alaya also ordered a stock of mana potions and first aid kits.

With that, I should be able to spend the rest of my few days here relaxing. Alaya spoke to the wind as she climbed down onto land once more, "Guard the ship. Feel free to do whatever you want beyond that." With a wave of the hand, she felt the wind around her ship change.

Now it's off to the bar!
(open to interactions)

"Don't you just love the fresh, salty sea air?"

"No...I don't."

"Than you picked a bad place to live my friend." Just arriving in Kevas was a small ship, the Viridian. A primarily passenger vessel that took people between the islands and mainland; today was a little different. Among the people on board were two individuals that, while blended in with most crowds, stuck out a bit in this one. Armor clad and armed to the teeth, was Aurelia and her associate Greven. Below deck, hidden away in a cupboard that no one would check, was the infamous Hacier. Or, who many people believed to be him. A serial killer from a small island just off the southern coast.

Someone would be by the retrieve her in a few hours, so for now, she and Greven were off the hook. With plans to go their own ways for a few hours and meet back at the ship around nine. That's when the guards were spread few as the shifts changed. The two smugglers left the ship with the crowd, mostly couples and runaway in hopes of a better life here in Kevas, Aurelia had one thing on her mind. And that was a drink.

However, there was an oddity that stuck out, making her slightly worried about the woman below deck. An imperial ship, easy to tell apart from the rest of the personal boats and cargo ships docked here. Greven had already wander off after in search of brothel (her company hadn't been enough apperantly ) as Aurelia stood there, lingering for a moment. Her eyes went from where her cargo was, to the other ship, then back again; before she sighed and walked off.

Cloak swaying with the certain way she moved, the young woman glided almost effortlessly through the crowd, lifting a few coin or two as she went along. It's funny how easy it was, but not haha funny. Sad funny. These fools has no idea they were losing their hard earned money to a woman beneath them. And yes, that might be a short joke. Anyway, finally breaking free from the crowd, Aurelia approached her favorite bar in this whole city.

It was like one of those street side open restaurants in the Kamina islands, the ones that sold noodles. It was a bar, then a few tables and chairs out in an open storefront. Aurelia took her favorite place at the bar, and in no time, was enjoying her favorite spiced rum.

Pyldret

A young boy with white hair and grey-white eyes stood atop a small hill, observing as the calm winds of the sky brushed the treetops of a mystical forest. He was no older than nine, perhaps eight, in terms of appearance. Despite that, his facial expression was serious, mature, and radiated with an aura of directness. Of superiority. Supremacy. An air of authority that could definitely make anyone nearby humble, like a wave that forced humility. He wore traditional Kamina clothes; a kimono and a pair of sandals.

"Doi, doi, doi..." A weird sound, like a voice, came from behind the boy. "What is up, kiddo?"

Pyldret turned around, bitterly scowling at the forest spirit behind him. "Who are you?"

The spirit wore an outfit that mixed together the colors of dark blue and black. A somewhat perplexing mixture, but it looked nice. It wore somewhat of a thin coat, with a pair of heavy, leather gloves, a belt, a pair of heavy boots, and a jester's hat. The spirit lacked a face, so it instead had a metal mask similar to a human face that smiled mockingly.

"Cheograh, my young excellence. A forest spirit---" The spirit prepared to bow, but it was interrupted.

"Liar. Your aura is malevolent. Like that of a demon. Are you here to destroy me?" The young boy glared daggers at the spirit. His eyes were cruel and full

"Malevolent? Pssshffft. No! Mischevious? Oh... yes..."

"Mischevious? In what way?" The child's head tilted in curiosity.

"Look in this box, and you'll see," the forest spirit tossed a bizarre, square-shaped device toward the young dragon. Pyldret caught it.

Pyldret leaned in, closer. His eyes looked at the device. He shuffled it in his hands, trying to find some way to activate it. Some way to see what the spirit really meant. Finally, his face was examining each and every single centimeter of the device, and...

Pfffhhhh! The sound of farting. A stinky cloud erupted from one side of the box and hit the dragon in the face.

The forest spirit started laughing.

The dragon child just looked at the spirit. "You... what was that?"

"I call it a fart box. Anyone who looks at it for too long is farted at. A magical prank device!"

"Prank?" Pyldret tilted his head once again, then looked at the box in confusion... finally, he understood the cheap humor, befitting of humans. Despite its immaturity, he liked it. He joined in the spirit in his laughter, and the two had a jovial, somewhat philosophical conversation about the nature of humor.

....

Z-z-z-z-z... z-z-z-z-z... z-z-z-z-z...

The sound of snoring filled the dark cave. Finally, the scaly pockets opened up, revealing crimson eyes with reptilian pupils. The large, monstrous beast that one would identify as a dragon slowly stood up from the pile of gold, treasure and jewelry it called a bed.

It walked out of the cave and took a good look at the same forest from its dream. The dragon then jumped off of the cliff the cave was near. Pyldret spread his wings far and flapped them several times, gaining speed and height, then flew further through the air...

...

Sometime later.

***

Port City Kevas, Docks...

From a dark alley, a man in a white hood and a black outfit walked out into the streets of Kevas. He looked similar to the young boy from the dream, albeit older, at least twenty. He walked through the busy, crowded streets bustling with all kinds of people; humans, elves, beastinari... none were aware that there was a supreme predator among them. A vicious beast walking through the streets, masquerading as a common human and hiding away in the guise of a powerless shell, while it was, in fact, a member of the dragonkind; the unruly, if powerful species of flying, primordial beasts. One of the most ancient and mystical races on the planet.

Pyldret walked into the bar and sat near the counter. Today was just one of those days. One of those days where he felt the urge to immerse himself into the society of lesser beings. Indulge in the masquerade of a mortal.

"I'll have a beer. A normal, cold one." He laid three pieces of silver on the counter, and the barman hopped to the request.

Meanwhile, the dragon's white-grey eyes scouted his surroundings and he spotted who looked to be the captain of a vessel sitting next to him. A youthful lass, possibly a bit younger than him. Deciding the best way to entertain himself by meddling with human affairs was to interact with humans in the first place.

Pyldret politely smiled at the woman next to him. "My name is Pyldret. You must be a captain, right? Forgive my curiosity - where are you from?"

Alaya entered her favorite bar and ordered a mug of beer. Sitting at the counter, she let her aura of wind slowly ventilate the smell of drunkards out of her vicinity. Taking up the mug and placing a few coins, she began to sip a large gulp, swallowed it, and let out a nice sigh. It has been awhile since I’ve been in Kevas, hasn’t it.

While thinking about her latest voyage, someone approached her. Hearing him introduce himself as Pyldret, she decided to do so as well. “I am Captain Alaya Lucilia Gladwyn, but most people just stop at my first name. I’m from the mainland, a small port town on the coast.” She gave him a second look. “I guess it’s my turn to be curious, where you from?

"The Kamina Islands," he replied truthfully. "I might not look like it. Anyway, I don't come from any specific town. My manse is deep in the forest, on top of a mountain. A cozy place, I have to say, but far away from civilization. That doesn't really bother me, though. I have more than the means of travel," he took the mug of beer from the bartender and nodded to him, then took a sip of the beverage. Although not as refined as wine, or with the kick of vodka, the beer definitely had a certain charm to it. The taste wasn't half-bad, too.

"I've met quite a few captains in the past," Pyldret's mind plays recollections of all the pirate ships he stole whole treasure chests from or some cargo ships that he snuck into only to eat all of their food and fly off. "You could say I'm well-acquainted with the people of the sea, but I never sailed too much myself. Only... scarcely," he remembered that one time his wings got hurt and he couldn't fly home. To deal with the problem, Pyldret hijacked a corsair ship, threw everyone offboard with his tail, then blew magical air into the sail. It was quite the adventure.

"So, what's your business here in..." he temporarily forgot the name of the place. Pyldret finished his sentence three seconds later once he remembered, "Kevas? Dealing with pirates? Hunting the dragon?" He didn't mind mentioning himself. It was a rumor, of course. A rumor about the white dragon that steals shipments of golden ingots to the capital, or expensive spices and herbs. A rumor that is too scary to be true.

In fact, probably out of his arrogance, Pyldret decided to expand on the subject, almost as if to boast. "Believe me, though, when I say I've seen the dragon. There's more to it than a rumor," he chuckles. "I've seen it flying near the coast once. It had a crate in its clutches, the thieving bugger." The irony of the joke which she would never get was too excellent not to laugh at, but Pyldret had to keep the laughter inside of him for now and let it die.

A laugh escaped from the silver haired kitsunes lips as she sat across from a rather rugged looking merchant. Her eyes kept fixated on the man as she looked at him. The woman's figure was quite 'robust' and hourglass in shape, starting from her abnormally large chest down to her prominent hips. Her outfit was quite form fitting on her body, allowing each portion of her rather elegant figure to be shown off. her white robe was left loosely on her frame as it seemed as if she didn't bother much for being modest. Her fox ears twitched on her head keeping alert around her., as her currently single pushy tail lightly swayed behind her.

"Oh? That's quite interesting. You really are such an amazing man... I don't know how anyone could ever resist a cutie like you." She spoke with just a hint of sultriness behind her voice as she played to the mans desires. She finished the last sip of her drink, placing it down as she looked over, ushering a waitress over to get another of the rather expensive drinks that was payed paid off fully by the man. All it usually took with the right words, a nice teasing shot of her cleavage and most men tended to become putty in her hands. Heck, despite not being attracted to women herself she managed to snag a few herself in which her charm still managed to work.

As her new drink came in, she smiled at the man before her, taking another drink. Her head turned to glance around the room. From what she could observe it seemed like mostly just common folk. She wasn't above manipulating people to her own benefit, but she tended to shy away from those with little to offer. She might not be above using others to some extent, but she wasn't completely heartless. Besides, the wealthy ones were the only ones able to satisfy her more 'upper class' needs with the more expensive food and drink her picky taste buds enjoyed most. She could see a female captain sitting by the bar, though it didn't seem worth wild to make any real attempt at her as a gentleman sat beside her.

She turned to the wealthy man she was with, giving him a wink. "I'll be back in a few okay... I want to see around the place a lil... feel free to order me something if you like. I'm open to whatever you think might be good, I'm relying on you to help me out." She spoke with a seductive wink. She was naturally playing up to make herself seem a bit helpless, keeping her words specific to more suggest him then to tell him to do stuff. She found that leading them a certain direction tended to be far more effective in suckering people into doing what she wanted. People preferred false choice over being told what to do directly. She stood up, walking away form the man, her hips swaying a bit in step keeping a rather seductive element about her without overplaying it. It wouldn't hurt to check things out a little bit and take a break from her little flirting game for a minute.

"Wait? A dragon?! uwwaaaa~" Alaya widened her eyes before slinking down and hugging her beer. It wasn't a look of fear, but rather one of annoyance. "I hope its a rumor... I don't wanna have to do more work like escorting cargo ships..." After a few moments, she lifted her head and looked at Pyldret. "Have you heard of the Elemental Admiralty? Of course you have... Well hopefully they won't receive some horrid order from the Empire like "go defeat that dragon!" That would be the worst..." After taking another sip, Alaya slowly began to regain her composure but still had a depressing face. "What would be the worst is if the Admiralty just passed it off to me... I mean, what am i suppose to do against a dragon?! I'm an Admiral of Wind, not an Admiral of Fire and Water..." Alaya downed the rest of the mug and pulled out more coins. "Refill!" While magic is equal across all attributes, certain elements are more suited to different tasks than others. Following that line of logic, fire and water would be better suited for engaging in battles than wind. However she knows that the Empire is gonna want some returns from loaning out those magic cannons... "Please don't do this to me, oh spirits of the sea."

"I don't think you have much of a chance to defeat a dragon. Dragons are too powerful," Pyldret said. It was more like an instinct to defend himself and try to seed the idea of it being an impossible task in her mind.

He took a deep sip of his beer while taking a good look around the tavern. The place was rather lively. Pyldret scanned the room. He saw some activity, like a vampire biting into someone's leg, a lunar kitsune extorting some poor, unaware loser and-- wait, a lunar kitsune? Aren't they rare? Pyldret, as a natural explorer, had once been to the seclusive island of Mangetsu. Getting there is difficult even by air because the winds tend to be harsh around that region. He recognized the woman by her unique shape of aura and physical appearance. To Pyldret, seeing auras was like a sixth sense. And even though a sixth sense it may be - he was born with it, and rather than being a magical spell he cast, it was more like a natural part of being himself. He just saw auras and could recognize what they meant easily. It is a phenomenon difficult to explain, like trying to explain how tesseracts work.

Still, seeing someone of her kind is remarkable. And she's shapely, too.

Once Pyldret heard Alaya start praying, he turned back to her, with an empty mug of what used to be beer in hand.

"What's the problem? The odds of you finding the dragon are low. The odds of the dragon finding you are even lower. And the odds of me needing a refill are surprisingly high - Refill, please!" Pyldret looked to the bartender, slapping a golden coin onto the counter. Carrying the draconic air of authority, he ordered the bartender: "Add some honey to it, double-time!"

Pyldret looked at Alaya, then grinned sheepishly. "Anyway, if you need help with the dragon, let me know! I'm kind of a specialist in these things." He was literally a step away from laughing as he said that sentence. Pyldret took his refilled mug from the bartender and took a sip.

Alaya sunk into her seat. She wasn't so much worried about fighting a dragon as having to called upon to fight it. The Admiralty has procedures to follow for any disaster, and she has been in quite a few. She just really didn't want to do work. "Right right... knowing my luck tho, I'll somehow end up meeting this dragon." Alaya continued to drink her beer while she looked around the bar. She started to wonder where the crowd was. It is still light outside, but this bar is a fairly popular bar, that much she knew. Of course there's the few patrons here, most notably the vampire sucking the blood out of some poor fool in broad daylight and kitsune. Damn... I would like to take a bite out of her... Did I drink too much beer again? Its only been 1 1/2 mugs...

Kevas - Bar

Through a door behind the bar, a case of magic was being performed. It was a risky time to use magic in such a busy time as now but it had to be done. In the back two women, one flat on a bed and the other performing the magic, a man who looked wealthy, and a giant beast of a wolf. The man looked extremely nervous as he stared at the mage, he had on a gold ring with some engravings and the woman on the bed had the exact same ring.

The mage had long braided red hair with a black feathered dress that showed some wealth to her. She had on her some jewelry like a silver necklace with a single large piece of ruby, some rings of varying metals, and a bracelet. The mage had her eyes closed as she concentrated on the process. The man took a step towards her and immediately the Wolf made a low snarling sound which forced the man back. A few more minutes passed before the spell ended and the mage stood up.

The man was about to speak but the eyes of the wealthy woman on the bed opened. He rushed to her side with tears falling from his face, and the woman too shed her tears.

"Oh Triss, how I feared for your life! Now we can be together like I promised!"

The man turned to the mage and wiped some tears off his face.

"There must be a way to repay you my dear, oh here, have some gold. Should you ever need anything from me and my fiancé you can have it! I would give all my treasures to repay you! Thank you so much again!"

The man shoved a sack of gold into the girls hands and him and his fiancé went out the door. The man turned to the bartender and smiled at him, no words were spoken but a sign of gratitude passed between the men. Soon the man and woman left the tavern and out of sight.

Soon afterwards, the mage walked out with her walking stick. Her eyes were light grey, revealing that she was blind as grey eyes were usually a sign of blindness. Right after her though came out a hulking beast of a Wolf, and if anyone who came from the mainland or read a beastiary about the mainland would immediately recognize that that wolf is an Alpha Wolf a large one at that. The girl walked elegantly towards an empty table, or at least one was being emptied as people got out of the way of the giant wolf.

The Bartender talked with a waitress and soon the woman and her companion were given water and food. The wolf was staring directly at Pyldret, smelling the scent of Dragons on the man. It's ears were perked, it's teeth were showing slightly, and the beast gave off a vibe that it wasn't afraid of the man and that any move the man made towards the girl would trigger hostility from the wolf.

Aurelia Fonteyn
Kevas - Open Front Pub - Bar

"What do you mean closing up early?" Her voice raised, and filled with disappointment, only half way through the drink being taken from her hands.

"My daughter's gone into labor, and I plan on being there when her wee baby comes to the world. Sorry lassy, but you'll have to find another place to drink for the night," The bartender replied, giving her back the money she spent on her drink with a small grunt. Aurelia waved him off, but smiled as she went along, disappointed still, but happy for the old orc.

But now where the hell was she supposed to go? Half the places around this area of Kevas were hot spots fro thieves and bad booze, and the other half didn't have anything good and very little action. The young woman muttered something about the taverns back home in Demor, but to even those passing by, it was unintelligible. Reguardless, Aurelia starred making her way through the crowed syreet to her second favorite place.

It was popular, so that meant a lot of foot traffic and again, it's a hotspot, but it was cozy and severed the drinks she liked. Surprisingly, her drinking choice was a Spiced Rum that was normally smuggled in from her home town. There was just something about it that gave her a fuzzy feeling. Probably the how strong it actually is, but who knows what it really was.

After a short disgruntled walk back towards the dock, her disappointment of her first choice fadded as she walked in the door. And to her surprise, there weren't that many people inside. A wealthy man she's seen a time or two in the market, a vampire and his unlucky victim, a very attractive kitsune that made Aurelia want to sin, a woman with a wolf, a white haired guy and an Imperial woman sitting at the bar. Of course, there were other people, but they werent nearly as interesting.

Deciding not to linger any longer, She took a set at the bar next to who she assumed was an unconscious drunk. "The usual please," She told the bartender, who was already poring her rum. From her left, she heard the drunk man chuckle. Ignoring him for now, She took the first sip of her drink, when suddenly, the man was drapping himself on her. He was much older than her, and the smell radiating off him was more than just the alcohol. "Goddamnit," She muttered, half her drink now on the counter.

"Yer purdy," The man said, with another chuckle, "Wes could have sooooome real fun." Here we go. "How much?" There it was. Aurelia said her mug down, and shoved the man back onto his seat, "I'm not a hooker, and this isn't a brothel. Fuck off." But, you know how some men handle rejection, and this one decided to try and grope her breast. Of course, her leather breastplate would protect her from his hands actually feeling anything, but to bad he didnt have any face armor.

Grabbing the back of his head, Aurelia slammed it into the counter not only breaking his nose and possibly his jaw, but knocking him unconscious. He fell onto a heap on the floor, unmoving. Aurelia wiped off her hand, "Some people," She muttered, taking a sip.of her new drink.

Pyldret
Kevas Port City - Bar

"Yeah, you maybe you will..." Pyldret smirked. "Maybe you already did..." he whispered to himself.

Pyldret took a sip of his beer and looked around the bar again. What's that? He looked at a creature staring back at him. 'An Alpha Wolf? And it can sense I'm a dragon. Not good.' Pyldret looked at the beast calmly and drank some more of the beverage in his hand. For now, it looked like the beast wasn't about to attack. In normal circumstances, Pyldret would rip apart any other predator feasting on his territory - but first, there were humans around, and second - this wasn't his territory. Pyldret gave the wolf a mean look, radiating an air of superiority with his eyes as if trying to send the creature a message of the 'Don't mess with me,' kind.

Pyldret turned forward, to the bartender. "Another one," he laid two silver pieces on the counter and slid it over to the other side. A piece of silver was a bit too much for a beer, as you could probably buy two pounds of iron for that, or even sleep a whole night at some inns. Typically, a single mug cost four copper pieces, sometimes more. This, of course, depends on where you live.

The disguised dragon took the mug in his hand and tilted his head backward. He poured the sweet alcoholic beverage into his throat, then, once the whole mug was empty, he laid it on the counter with a gasp of satisfaction. The dragon looked up for a moment, his cheeks turning red.

"Another," he threw a pouch onto the counter. From the leathery skin, pieces of silver poured out like an elegant rainfall of glistening circles. Everyone in the bar either stopped what they were doing or continued doing what they were doing, but they looked in the direction of the dragon disguised as a human. The number of silver coins on the counter was definitely above eighty, perhaps ninety. You could buy a whole cow for that amount, or stay lodged in a very nice inn for a week and several days. "I'll spend some time in here."

...

Pyldret continued to valiantly empty mug after mug for almost a minute.

...

Pyldret took hold of his new cup. The taste of ale was something he was becoming accustomed to. He took a big sip of the beer, then looked around to his right and left. He looked as some woman knocked a drunk 'gentleman' out cold by smashing his head into the counter. "He's not--*hick*-- waking up for a while. I bet is-is... I bet his wife... like... left him, and now 'es... he's looking for new--*hick*-- experiences~~..." he made an educated guess about the drunk's romantic life. Pyldret forced himself to drink another sip of the beverage, slowly getting smashed.

A drunk was no good. A drunk dragon was even worse. The last time Pyldret got crunked, he accidentally decimated a whole village of innocent peasants after one of them asked him if he'd like to buy an apple. The drunk dragon misinterpreted the question for an insult involving breadcrumbs and empty bottles--a weird combination, yes.

This is probably where the saying 'boiled as a dragon,' comes from. Or was that an owl?... Whatever. Pyldret eyed the fallen man in a vicious way, while contemptuously drinking beer and brooding.

Alaya began to wonder if he was alright, chugging down all those mugs. After he finished and spoke in a very drunken fashion, Alaya giggled just a bit before covering her nose from the awful stench of not one but two complete drunkards were making. Flicking her free hand toward the already downed man, she sent a burst of wind and pushed the unconscious man on the floor to the corner of the place, leaving a loud clunk sound and a trail of drool. She then proceeded to raise a slightly stronger gale around her to clear out the smell of alcohol emanating from Plydret. “You should probably stick to water, buddy.

Alaya sighed as more and more interesting people were entering the bar. She wondered why the beast was snarling towards Plydret, but she gave up trying to understand. “G’day” she said to the newcomers at the bar. She was worried about the number of silver coins that were on the counter, but gave up after deciding that there’s no point in doing Imperial work while she’s on break.

Kiyomi watched as more colorful figures had found their way into the bar. Her tail flicked behind her back as she dismissed the vampire quite easily for being rather boring. They didn't tend to bother you if you didn't bother them after all. Her eyes couldn't help be drawn to the giant wolf as it seem ed to be accompanying the girl. It was a bit troublesome of a creature should she want to use illusions... granted she hadn't really any need to use such abilities. Most of her charm didn't require the use of any of her magic abilities at all.If she really needed to do an illusion for some reason, she would just have to take in consideration the creatures senses and ensure she did some more elaborate ones t account for the creatures nose.

Her head turned just as a man's head was smashed into the counter. She blinked looking on. She could only assume he likely being a bit too pushy or started to feel the girl up. It was a a shame in a way for her, those types tended to be the easiest... though in most cases those types were either poor sods or just complete low lives. The poor didn't have any money to really extract from them nor she had any desire to take what little they had. The scum she would likely end up treating in a similar way to what the girl did. She wasn't the type to just resort to violence or anything nor even be super harsh to criminals, but those who tended to steal or commit terrible acts upon others didn't get much sympathy to her.

Her eyes couldn't help but shift over noticing the stack of coins over by the guy who had sat by the captain started to grow in size. She blinked, tapping her chin lightly. It did seem like he had more wealthy then is rather poor exterior hinted at. He seemed almost to be purposely flaunting it off... or just being too much of an idiot he wasn't realizing how he was practically asking for some thief to wander up and snatch some coins off the counter. She glanced back towards her 'date' a bit obscured as of now from view though still a bit visible. She moved beside the dragon, looking him over. She could tell something was 'off' about him though her abilities weren't quite as astute as the wolfs in being able to tell exactly what it was.

"She has a point you know cutie, its not very fun getting sick. Though I do admit it is quite fun drinking a lot. You gotta pace yourself a little so you can spend more time drinking up."
She spoke placing a hand gently on his shoulder to rub it lightly. It didn't hurt to talk with him.. .it could be fun and she could milk some potential coins off of him. She wasn't a thief to just take his money but she wasn't about being given something. \

Pyldret
Kevas Port City - Bar

"But there's no fun in water, especially if it extinguishes the fire I've got in me, baa-*hick*-byyy..." Pyldret gave his mug to the bartender, who filled it up with another flask of ale. Pyldret smiled. "Besides, I'm only gettin' started." He took a sip of the cold beer, letting out a sigh of satisfaction.

The truth was - that so long as Pyldret was in his human form, he had the same properties of a human vessel. His liver was much smaller and comparatively weaker than that of a dragon. That is why he was getting hooked so quickly. Had he been drinking the beer as a huge, white, scaly monster, he could probably take in a little bit more than he already had without so much as a hiccup or burp. Therefore, as soon as he is about to go off and return to his cave, he will turn into his dragon body. And as such, the alcohol in him will no longer have such a debilitating effect. Pyldret felt no fear or shame in getting drunk, because for him - it carried little consequences... that said, should he find several barrels of beer, turn into a dragon, and begin drinking - that's where problems arise. That's the kind of stuff that leads to villages getting burned. That's exactly what happened the last time he got crunked using this method. Three barrels of ale are his utmost limit in his dragon body.

He saw the lunar kitsune approach and rub him on the shoulder. Pyldret crossed his legs and smirked at her. "So what could--*hick*--a lunar kitsune like you be doing... in a place like--*hick*-- this? You're just extorting one sucker after another, aren't----*hiiick*----youu~...?..."

Alaya Lucilia Gladwyn
Kevas - Bar

Alaya stared in a bit of amusement. Taking another gulp of beer, she was already beginning to forget the worries about the dragon rumor. As the kitsune approached, Alaya put an elbow on the counter and propped her head up as she prepared to watch whatever chaos Plydret was about to release through his mouth. Already there was a guy knocked out on the floor by the woman by the two, so it would be interesting to see what happens here.

Oh fuck. He said it, he really said it, and to a hot chick no less. As he said those last words, Alaya's eyes widened just a bit and raised her hand up in the air, bringing forth all the wind power she could muster in that instance to defend herself against the high probability of already ingested alcohol flying through the air.

Her eyes focused on him, hearing him speak. She watched him cross his legs, blinking at the gesture as she tilted her head to the side in response. It was a bit strange though she could tell something was off about him... she just couldn't exactly put her finger on it. Something was amiss about him, she just didn't know the extent. She lifted her hand up, brushing her fingers lightly through her bangs. His drunken words make her smirk a little bit, not at all seeming offended by them as he blurting them out at her quite boldly.

"Quite cruel accusations... its not really extorting someone if they are the ones offering it... it would be like telling the orphanage to not take random donations since it was 'extorted' from them to support some poor children in need." She spoke pulling a coin out from her cleavage, twirling the coin between her fingers and placing it down as if it order her own drink. She smiled a bit as she was given a drink of her own, lifting it up to take a sip, her tail swaying behind her as she put down the glass. She noticed Alaya using a form of magic, smirking a bit in entertainment by it as she seemed to keep calm not at all seeming fazed by what would be considered an insult by most.

"Curious you know the species I am specifically. I guess I don't really do much to hide it though, I suppose there are methods to change my hair color in particular to obscure that fact but it isn't that relevant to most people. Even if most people knew to me it seems like a rather childish thing to go about disguising your true identity away from others... wouldn't you agree?" She spoke lifting her glass up with her voice quite smooth and sultry as she spoke. A light smile was on her lips purposely toying with telling him the fact he was in some sort of disguise. She didn't know what exactly he was though she figured her rather passive statement would likely get him suspicious she knew something and make him overestimate her knowledge, all without making it to obvious to anyone else nearby she was aware.

Silus Valiste

Kevas - Streets-Bar

Not a lot of things happened in Kevas for Silus. It was a process for him usually. Go home, go back to traveling. There was one thing that bothered him though. The Magi had assigned him an investigative mission. While it was his sister who gave the order, the association knew he traveled a lot. How damning this was, he had seen his sister for the first time in three months since exploring the mainland, and now she dumps work on him.

He was receiving a few stares from the locals, which wasn't odd. Not many people of nobility much less mage nobility casually strolled around, but that's only if he wasn't the first mage they saw. Typically the reaction was curious, but this seemed rather suspicious. He ignored it though. He was by a port bar when he noticed a few Jilvan ships, straight out of Demor. Typically they weren't seen at all, but as he looked curiously at the ship, a sand cat beastinari gave him a very suspicious look. His eyes dilated noticeably at his presence, and Silus decided to move on. Demor was a terrifying place, and the last place he wanted to be.

He found a bar quite fast. It was full and loud, but that was all he needed to know. If he came back after a while with no information, he could lose some power in the magi. It wasn't like he mattered as an individual anyway.

The first sight he walked into was an old man's head being smashed on the table by a young woman. Not a position he wanted to be in. An imperial captain and a white-haired individual were also making talk with a kitsune. He looked over to the other area of the bar to notice a rather....unsavory looking group of individuals who were eying him. He took his chances and sat over to the stranger group.

The moment he sat down he pulled out a small stone with some rather edged markings facing in several directions. It pointed to the north, which was the same direction he got earlier. Although, a new person entered the bar with a rather large wolf in tow. It snarled at the heavy drinker who was now hiccuping, and the kitsune talked. Shortly after she said something, the white-haired man did and he was getting more curious. A lunar Kitsune? That was a rare sight. Such people rarely left the kamina islands, but it wasn't his business. He was now more curious about the conversation.

"Get me some of your good, but strong stuff," Silus asked the bartender. He was quickly treated with a drink of some kind, but as to what it was he didn't know. There was only one way to find out. He took a sip and turned his head back to the strange group after deciding he liked the drink.

Aurelia Fonteyn
Kevas - Bar
"He defiantly won't be," The woman chuckled, replying to the drunk white haired male sitting near by. Taking another sip of her drink, Aurelia decided to observe the ones sitting near by. She liked to do this when people were intoxicated, it was like watching bumbling animals. Her little stunt with the man still slumped over on the floor seemed to impress most of them, if not all of them aside from the bartender, who had to clean up the mess.

The lunar Kitsune was trying to seduce the young man, stealing his money most likely, but it was amusing none the less. She couldn't he'll but chuckle at the back and forth banter between the small group, and was in the middle of her second, though technically third, mug of spiced rum when another man walked in. He seemed nervous, probably having seen her handy work before anyone noticed him. He walkednup to the bar, and asked for something strong. "I recommend this. Straight from Demor." Wendy Coppress
Theodore

Kevas - Bar

So much was going on that Wendy became a bit disoriented. The first instance happened while she heard a loud crashing thud which made her spill her drink. She jumped at the sound not expecting it at all, sadly whatever made the sound seemed to have escaped her vision. It was then at this time the wolf began snarling at someone, a man? It was hard to tell from her mana vision but she assumes it's a male. She turned and began petting the Alpha Wolf and shaking her head with a stern look saying no.

Some people seemed to be making some noise up near the bar, she was nervous but she had to get another drink. She slowly got up and walked very carefully up to the bar with her walking stick. The wolf was right behind her and he watched Mr. Dragon Boy tensely but no more sound came from the wolf, he would watch him the entire time he was in the vicinity of the girl. The girl was beside the whole party with a beastinari? Well the girl with the animal ears, the drunk male, and another female next to him. To her right was another girl and a man, the man whom she noticed was a new arrival. She looked at the barkeeper and spoke in an elegant and soft way.

"Um... Excuse me? I seemed to have spilled my water, could I get a refill please? I can pay for it. Oh and Theodore needs some Turkey and water if you've got that."

She placed some silver coins on the after searching for her bag for quite some time, she had magic vision but she was still blind. Once the barkeeper took the money and went into the back, the girl saw an unconscious man in a corner of the room. He seemed to be injured by the way his jaw looked, or at least it seemed like it was.

"Oh dear... What happened to that man?"

The girl whispered this to herself without even realizing she said anything. In a moment she walked to the man and knelt beside his unconscious body and placed her hands on his jaw and nose. If anyone paid any close attention, you could possibly the faint glow of green of healing magic. After about a minute or two the girl stood up and walked back to the bar. On closer inspection of the man, his jaw and nose was completely healed though it would be assumed that when he wakes up he will be sore.

The girl stared blankly across the bar as she waited for her order to arrive. The way she move is curious, it's almost as if she could legitimately see yet her eyes are light grey and misty proving that the girl is blind.

Aurelia Fonteyn
Kevas - Bar
Watching the blind girl, Aurelia couldn't help but feel a sudden surge of anger. "Why'd you heal him?" She asked, turning on the stool she was sitting on to face her. Not that it mattered much, "Fucker doesn't know how to keep his hands to himself, He didnt deserve it," Aurelia said, with a bitter, bitter bite. "He wakes up and grabs you for "repaying your kindness, it'll be your fault." Some people needed to learn to not be as nice, especially when it came to people like that." Archdemon Archdemon

A small sailboat came to a slow halt as it pulled into the docks of the Kevas. The boat was tiny compared to the rest of the large vessel's that resided at the bay, and on it were only two people; the captain and his passenger Asami. The young samurai had just finished a job on a small island not far away from Kevas and decided to return here to look for more work. It was a simple task that she had to complete, guarding a family of farmers as they transported their goods from one village to another. According to locals people had been getting mugged by thugs looking to make some easy money. Fortunately for everyone involved they decided not to show up, making it rather uneventful. But that was fine. After the goods had been dropped off Asami was paid and underwhelming amount of money. It wasn't nearly enough to live off of, which forced her to come to a populated and busy place such as this. Stepping off the boat she dropped a couple of coins into her ferryman's hands and left quietly into town. Her goal was to find the nearest bar. Although not a heavy drinker it was the perfect place to find a suitable job. One that would pay for more than 2 meals. Fortunately for her she didn't have to wander far as her eyes quickly rested on a rather busy pub. It was the perfect place to snoop around.

Asami pushed open the doors and moved inside, taking a moment to check her surroundings. There seemed to be an interesting cast of people and a lot going on. One man who caught her attention was some drunk bum who had a jacked face. It seemed that a brutal bar fight happened not long before she arrived and that he lost the brawl badly. She watched as a young lady came to his aid, placing her hands gently on his face and returning it back to a healthy state. Asami couldn't help but feel a twinge of disgust at the public display of magic, her sharp eyes stabbing at the healer. The samurai never got used to her discomfort of magic. She absolutely hated the sinister phenomenon even in a world seemingly dominated by it. She does not know the origins of it, but surely they must be evil. With a displeased sigh the girl moved forward to the counter, sitting only a stool away from a captain, a kitsune, and a white haired boy. She sat silently, watching the three from the corner of her eyes while fiddling around with the remaining coins in her hand. Although not a daily drinker, she longed to have a little alcohol in her body. Yet she couldn't afford it. Perhaps if the stars were aligned, some drunk man would buy her a drink. But for now, she would just sit and listen.

Leon George Servellis Vanariem
"Hail, Lord of Celderes!"

Port City Kevas

Usually, nobles don't like exposing themselves to the outside. They often prefer to use carriages when travelling, since their presence would definitely attract a number of people, some who revere them, and others who do not. The question of their safety also comes to mind when traveling.

But Leon isn't your usual noble. This pompous lord walks with pride and grace, showing himself to everyone who dares glare upon his majestic presence. Alongside him is a female attendant named Nowe. Surrounding the two as they walk are a bunch of armed men, guarding their precious master and preventing any crowd from blocking his path.

As expected, a generous amount of people tried to swarm the exposed noble. Alas, his trusty guards do their job extremely well, preventing their efforts to reach him, whatever their intent is.

"Hahahaha!", Leon laughed boisterously. "Look at them all, desperately wanting for my attention! Me!"

"Yes, my lord.", the female beside him nodded. "They seem to be quite excited."

It's been a while since Leon was in the Port City Kevas, but it was just like always. Packed with people from all over the Empire's reach. A grand chaos that was almost beautiful to the proud noble's sight. However, Leon's arrival on his own ship, the Aeolus Grande, was just recently - almost simultaneously docking onto the city with famous ship ANS Tempest. Though he had heard of such a name, he didn't bother comparing to the beauty that was his.

All of a sudden, the lord stopped walking. "I thirst, Nowe.", he said.

The woman beside him, Nowe, pointed to a nearby bar. "There's a bar close by, my lord. I think there'd be some refreshments that would please you."

"Come then, let us go to this bar!"

And off they went, heading towards the bar.
