The Seven Kingdoms are in disarray. The Mad King has been killed and his children/family have been slaughtered, kidnapped, or have run off for their own safety. The next Monarch is to be crowned.. but who? Kingdoms begin to question if rulers should be crowned based solely on heritage, thus scrutinizing honor and tradition. Conflict between kingdoms certainly arise, and one House is even rumored to be protecting some of the Targaryen children. Not only is a war over the Iron Throne in the midst, but so is the threat of the North becoming independent from the Iron Throne.
Violence, poverty, politics, and drama run rampant in Westeros, but hiding amongst that is rare magic thought as myth, supernatural beings only in stories to scare children, and even the rise of dragons..?
What will you make of this mess? Do you contribute to peace or to violence? Are you fighting for the Iron Throne or your own independence? Do you search for merely love and family? Knowledge? Power?

Also, just because they're not a Great House, it doesn't mean that they won't be powerful/influential ! The great houses still need the support of the lords and ladies of their land!

› No 18+, no smut, whatnot, and absolutely no incest, despite the fact that it's rather... prevalent in the show/book. of course, implying is alright.
› Be nice to each other ooc !! No bullying, racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc !! if you do that, you're not cool at all !
› To keep activity up, at least one post per week! This may be changed for special roles (magic users and head of house)
› Semi-Lit and above is the expected level of this rp! (So at least one-paragraph per response. of course, writers block is an exception)
› Anime is very pog, but would not like it as faceclaim for your ocs!
› Gore is allowed, but don't go overboard with it. i.e. 'his blade sank into his skin, splitting him clean in two. blood splattered against ivory skin and the cobblestone ground' is fine.
› For those that want to be the head or lady of a Great House, must be able to consistently type at least one, literate, paragraph (six - seven sentences) for rp.
› Everyone must either have: a detailed backstory or a writing sample. A backstory is still required, but if it's detailed enough, I'll let it pass as a writing sample!
› If the main family of the house is taken, you're allowed to be the cousins and whatnot - though you won't have as much power. Keep in mind that there are other epic minor houses wink wonk
› Of course, you can have deceased parents, siblings, w/e, but talk about it with other people in the house.
› The age preference for ocs is late teens and beyond. There may be some exceptions.
› If you want to be someone who deals with magic or is not from Westeros, you must have watched the series or read the books (not it entirely, but enough to know the different magic users). The magic users south of the ice wall will be limited.
› Unfortunately, marriage between man and woman (yawn) is the only marriage recognized in Westeros, especially for the noble and great houses. I still encourage same-sex relations and it's also prevalent in the series - but it's also kept secret, sadly.
› talk to whoever the character is and the head of house to see if you can set up arranged marriages.
