History: A man that edited the local newspaper was walking back home to his apartment when he found a baby left abandoned at the corner of the street where he lived. The baby came with a note, which read 'Please, take care of my child, for I regrettably can't. Do this, my love, and I will cherish and reward you for the rest of your days. Yours truly, your secret admirer.' The man didn't know what to think. He took the baby to a local hospital, and after running some tests, it was indeed his child. He was confused, let alone incensed, as he was a single man, and hadn't done the deed with anyone for a while. But he had a golden heart, and took in the child as his own, raising him strong and teaching him all he knew. He sent him to school, taught him about his job at the newspaper, and even hired him at the age of 14 to be a delivery boy. Jesse was constantly badgered by girls as he went about his business for his good looks during his childhood, but none interested him, until high school, where he fell in love with a girl named Angelina, a golden girl with a smart mouth and a load of opinions. He fell hard, and began working his charm. It worked, and they loved each other...until he found her cheating in their junior year. That hit him hard, and he fell more quiet and reluctant to love after that. Nothing too interesting happened to him after that, until he received a strange letter from a school called Starlight Institute, and a bus shrouded in golden light appeared the day after...

Starlight Info: Constellation Bloodline- Taurus, AKA The Bull. Dorm- Dungeon. File/Reputation- Jess is a good student, and always has been. The only thing that he's gotten in trouble for was eating in class.

Abilities: Powers- Supernatural strength, he can lift dozens of tons with ease. Divine Attributes- Bull horns, ears, and tail. Strengths- His strength, obviously. He also can ram into people and things with his horns, which are super tough. He also has advanced hearing.   Ximena's birth is unknown. It was rumored, of course, that the previous heir of Vulpecula, her father, had an affair with a beautiful yet poor young waitress in Barcelona, Spain. But nobody knew for sure, as those of Vulpecula's bloodline are known for their ability to dissuade and fib. All anyone knows is that Vulpecula had a daughter, named Ximena. Ximena doesn't remember much about her early life, and she was NEVER close to her mother, so she would never know. The only times Ximena's mother, Miranda, got close to her was to smack her around. Rey would show up to school with an empty stomach and fresh bruises. The kids of her school were either confused, pitiful, or merciless. She had close to no friends, nobody to talk to, nobody to turn to for help. It kept getting worse. cigarette burns, scars, and swelling plagued her body. She was terrified to go home. Her mother, after a long day of working, would turn to alcohol, and then take out her sorrow and and anger of her situation and the realization that she may never escape, on her helpless daughter. Why Ximena's teachers never said anything, we'll never know.
  Rey began stealing at the age of 13. Shoplifting. Playing hooky. She didn't have money for anything, nor did her mother buy her anything extra that she might want, so she stole. Mostly food, clothing, etc. She rarely got caught, and even then, she always escaped the authorities.
  She stopped going home shortly after. Why would she want to go back home to her mother, who was probably waiting to beat the shit out of her?? Instead, she roamed the streets at night. She tried her best to continue with school, with the idea that an education would help her escape the hell that was her life.
  However, in her freshman year of high school (perhaps too late), her history teacher called Child Services, since a minor student of hers was seemingly living on the streets, and it seemed that she was never at home.
  Ximena was ordered to appear in court 2 years later. She testified against her own mother. Her mother was found guilty and sentenced to 8 years in prison.
  Justice was served.
  Ximena spent the rest of her high school life living on her own, in a tiny apartment, once she was able to secure a job. She knew she'd never go to college, as she didn't have the money. She was just content on being her own person and trucking through life by herself.
  Until a bizarre letter and even more bizarre public transportation appeared in her life a few months after the end of her senior year...
  
  
  Family-
  Miranda Antonia DeFuente- Ximena's mother. Evil? Trapped by circumstance? Desperate? Who knows. Whatever the case, Ximena hates her with a burning passion.
  
  Ladrao Teixeira Reyes- Ximena's father. The previous heir of Vulpecula. Some perceive him as charming while others perceive him as a good-for-nothing fink. Ximena will form an unusually close bond to him, perhaps because of their similarities (and also because he's her last remaining parent).

Cleo, is, in a word, a shut-in. Inclined to keep to herself and her interests and block out the rest of the world, she can be a bit of a challenge to deal with. When it comes to other people she would feel far more comfortable watching and waiting for a chance to leave, rather than engaging. When she does interact with others, such as when she had to at school or the store, she frequently uses sarcasm and attempts to maintain an air of indifference to cope with the anxiety. She is the kind of person who would much, much rather text or call you than meet face-to-face. She only feels like herself when she’s alone in her room with her computer and games, in a comfortable, familiar space where the outside world can be forgotten.
There are very few strong opinions she holds and if hearing a good argument she will quickly change her mind regarding most things. The one thing she is set in is that no matter what, she will avoid having to ask someone else for help or rely on another to do something she could do herself. Either she will manage on her own, or she will fail. In most other instances, a sound argument is enough to change her stance, if not her actions. Doing things and believing things are not very closely connected in her mind.
All of this is not to say that she is a mean or self-centered person, despite being generally anti-social. While the urges often clash with her desire to avoid being involved with others, she does find an unfamiliar sense of satisfaction in helping out from the sidelines when people need it. She may be a poor speaker in general, she is a very good listener, and would likely give tough but honest advice if she ever formed closer bonds. Despite not really even admitting it to herself, she loves the idea of being so comfortable around another that she can stop overthinking and just enjoy the company. Routine is her lifeblood, but she finds the idea of trying new things very exciting, if terrifying. It’s far easier to stick to what she knows, though, and she’s content to do just that if the situation allows.

Cleo is a bit of a perfectionist and knows how to focus hard on a task, putting her all into it until it is complete. She has an endurance honed by long late hours of raiding and a disregard for normal sleeping hours that let her get things done, if potentially at a cost to her health. She is also highly self-sufficient, able to look out for and keep herself content without needing anyone else around for either help or company. Her mind has an intuitive inventiveness that helps her find creative solutions to (admittedly typically mundane) problems that others likely wouldn't bother with.

History: Cleo can't remember what her childhood was like, because she didn't have one. Her fathers formed her to be about the age of twelve, as she was beginning to go through puberty, imparting a spattering of vague memories along with her core self to make sure she wasn't starting from nothing. She only learned this recently, and still can't fathom their reasoning for it. Regardless, she had to learn very quickly in order to figure out how to function around people who had had a decade more to learn what the world was like and how to interact with it and the people that inhabited it.

Her fathers were never around, really. She knew that they both had busy and lucrative careers, even if they never talked about them even when they called; her caretaker, Marguerite, had mentioned that Augustus was involved in intelligence work, and Callum was an executive in some field involving animals. The most she knew about the two of them was how much money they sent back to her, enough to live a cushy life in a high-class Chicago apartment. She could afford just about anything she wanted, and with her parents never around she was free to do as she liked.

The one person consistently in her life was Marguerite Pearson, her caretaker and the one who kept the apartment together. She came for the better part of the day to cook, clean, and make sure any important business regarding the apartment was attended to in a timely fashion. When Cleo was younger they used to interact quite a lot more, but as she grew older Cleo began to feel less comfortable around her and took to staying in her room the majority of the time she was in the house. It was easier than having to constantly answer questions about how she was feeling, and if she was eating enough, what she was planning to do after school and all those things. She would never admit to Marguerite how isolated and lonely she felt.

What Cleo preferred to do with her time was escape into games of all kinds. She could afford all the new consoles and a high-end PC, plus whatever games she wanted, so she never lacked for new experiences. Here all that mattered was your ability to learn and master new forms of play, and she was a pro at it. While she enjoyed games that put her head-to-head with others in PvP, she always preferred the option to play something away from others, where she didn't need to worry about communication or competition. She could just play and be content in the moment.

School was always a chore for her. By the time she has figured out how social circles worked, how to make friends, etc., it already felt too late to find anyone. Nobody bothered to reach out, while she never could figure out how to do so herself. The only time she was really noticed was when she was bullied for doing well in math and science. It felt meaningless and dumb, so she started more and more often skipping school so that she could stay in the comfortable safety of her room and game far away from all of those confusing things. She went enough to avoid failing any classes, at least (failing would only create more trouble) and even though she was forced to meet with the school counselor over her growing "issues" she refused to talk and continued on as she was. When she finally graduated, near the bottom of her class, despite her clear intelligence, she thought she could finally be done with it and stay at home like she wanted. That was, until an unexpected letter appeared on her keyboard one day several months later, and a yet more unexpected bus shrouded in golden light appeared outside her large windows.

Abilities:
Powers- Incredible insightfulness in the form of invasive thoughts, flight, dark vision, ability to attract animals and have them understand her speech, pulling a shepherd's crook out of thin air
Divine Attributes- A pair of deep black wings sprouting from behind her shoulders, and black feathers growing alongside her hair wherever it grows (head, eyebrows, etc.)
Strengths- Can size up people and situations very quickly, and solve many simpler problems with a glance. Can have animals help her with things if she can tolerate them being around. That crook is super helpful for propping things open or barring doors, too.
Weaknesses- Her insights are very hard to control and often overwhelm her mind without her even wanting to have them. She can't command animals if there are none around, plus she just feel uncomfortable around them in general. That crook is a normal-ass crook, not something that will be protecting her very well nor hurting anyone with her experience.

  Finn is what you'd call a golden child. In high school he was the star quarterback, the popular jock, but with a heart of gold. Instead of shoving nerds into lockers, he was always the type to stand up against the delinquent bullies if he had the opportunity to do so. He's outgoing, outspoken, altruistic, laidback, and from any outside perspective, seems to be the perfect golden boy, set to be the most popular student both among the professors and his peers. But there's a lot more going on below the surface that Finn won't let show to just anyone. That's his underlying layer of doubt and insecurities.
  
  He worries about being a burden often, and does his best to apologize ahead of time if he anticipates being a hassle or a burden to anyone. He doesn't allow himself the luxury of resting, and doesn't often take well to forced rest either. He's surprisingly quick to anger, but incredibly adept at hiding his temper. He doesn't hold grudges, though, and overall is a team player, willing to let bygones be bygones for the sake of having more allies and friends.   Finnegan was found as a baby on the doorstep of a fire station late one night, supposedly surrendered by some mother who didn't want him. Finn didn't have any note or any form of identification, so the firefighters who found him named him and the government assigned him the day he was found as his birthday. He was put into the system, and quickly adopted by the Oswalds. Patricia and Adam Oswald always wanted a son, but were struggling to conceive, so they opted to adopt baby Finnegan instead. Finn was beloved by his adoptive parents. They never treated him different because they weren't genetically related, and always took good care of him.
  
  Things shifted in the family when Finnegan was five, and Patricia announced that Finn would be becoming a big brother. He wasn't used to being a brother, much less a big brother, and the transition into being not his parents' top priority took a toll on young Finn. Laila Oswald was born early and sick, and the stress of a sick young baby weighed heavily on the family. One night, Finn found his mother crying quietly in the living room, so he decided right then and there that he would be the most perfect and problem-free child so his parents wouldn't have to worry about him like they worried about Laila.
  
  As the years progressed, Laila did get better, but the memory of her rough start never left Finn. He'd go through his schooling with straight A's and many extracurriculars, making it onto his high school's varsity football team and being one of the most popular kids in school. Calliope is a very gentle soul. She's fond of animals, more so than people, and it shows in her social skills. She didn't have many friends growing up, which furthered her drive towards being an animal person. Given how she has very few friends, it's likely that whatever friends she does make, she'll stick with loyally and do her best to keep. This can wind up getting her into some pretty toxic relationships, as she'd often stick around through abusive friends who don't actually care about her, just so she can have "friends" to be around. Calliope wouldn't say she was lonely, though, even if she has no friends, as she always has her animals. Friendly to a fault, most insults or jeers go right over Callie's head. History: Calliope Smith was found on the fire escape of an apartment building, and taken in by the woman who found her. Abigail Smith was an accountant who had found her life dull and uneventful up until Calliope's arrival. The little baby brought much joy and excitement to her life, as well as stress and confusion. Abigail had never considered herself fond of children until she started raising Calliope. Callie proved to be a mostly easy baby, seemingly happy to just exist. As she grew, Calliope started showing an interest in animals, often begging Abigail to take her to the zoo, or to get a puppy from the local shelter. Abigail declined most of the time, as money was tight and her landlord wouldn't allow pets, but that didn't dissuade Calliope. She started using her small allowance to buy cat treats for the local strays, and would go to the park often to watch the geese and swans in the lakes. When she was old enough, she started volunteering in the shelter and took up jobs as dog walkers or pet sitters. Her academics were good, so despite her mother's protesting that she should go into a field that pays better, Callie was set on going to vet school for college. That was all put on hold, however, when she received a mysterious letter.

With a tiny and sweet appearance, Noxolo has a ferocious personality unlike anything ever witnessed. She shuns modern society and all it has to offer, choosing to forge ahead based on her own moral code. Her delicate visage often earns her the underestimation of her peers, thinking that one of unicorn blood would be a picture of beauty and grace. Just like unicorns, she is an intense force of destruction that rips through everything in her path. Her absentminded nature can make her seem unapproachable, ignoring strangers that come up to her in favor of continuing her own thing. Noxolo finds pleasure in being an unpredictable woman, always having you question her next move.

She is confident and proud of her heritage, where she comes from and can grow deeply offended if someone were to mock either of those aspects. Her instinct is fight over flight, fists over words; an eye for an eye is her general life rule which can make her all the more dangerous. Noxolo keeps a limited amount of friends to associate with, more out of laziness to keep in contact with others and less out of distrust towards people. She has a leisurely -almost childish- demeanor when around people she trusts and cares about. Noxolo was just an infant left in the African drylands, alone beneath the moonlight and surrounded by sounds of the wild. She was found at dawn by a woman returning to her village. Her frail body had been wrapped in a bit of patterned cloth and was peacefully enveloped by a lone zebra. The woman who found her, Kholiwe, was astounded and saw it as a good omen from the gods. Noxolo was taken back to the village, her circumstances explained, and was welcomed with open arms. Her blonde hair but otherwise African features was seen as "marked by the gods" which gave her a beautiful and blessed childhood. Kholiwe's home was where she slept at night but her days were spent raised by everyone in the village. Food from her neighbors, games with children across the way, teaching from the shaman and affection from the chief, she was the girl who had it all. The wisdom attained from her elders allowed her to roam the savanna freely around the village borders, often shocking others when she could be seen playing with wild animals. She found herself closest to the zebras, running among them and looking as wild as the equids.

When it reached time for school age, Noxolo became an odd student. She was clearly intelligent, beyond her peers, but had no ambition to be anything with her smarts. She would finish her schoolwork easily and spend the rest of her day cloud watching, drawing on houses with soot and imitating her favorite animals. A group of doctors sent from the US came to the village around her fifteenth birthday, offering check-ups and medicine to the people that was otherwise difficult to attain. Noxolo, being the curious teenager, asked doctors all sorts of questions and within two hours, she was giving basic check-ups to village children. This got her noticed by Dr. Bell; this got her an option to travel somewhere new and exciting. The prospect outweighed the anxieties of a new country so with the help of Dr. Bell, Noxolo got a visa and was enrolled in one of the most prestigious academies for gifted kids like herself. She learned English with the doctor while going through school with flying colors. Intellectually, she was pushing the top three spots among the student body, but behaviorally, her bizarre behavior and lack of ambition was getting her into trouble.

With high school graduation as the valedictorian, she missed her own graduation and received instead rode in a bus shrouded in golden light.

  On the other hand, Niko suffers from a poor temper, as well as perfectionism when it comes to his ideals. This can make him irritated and melancholic at times. He's also a bit of a loner at times, because he needs time out of the spotlight to recharge. His detachedness can be nice at times, but it can also be a vice, as you could be telling him something really personal, and he'll just be a blank slate. Sometimes he just has his head in space.   Mari was left inside a hospital in an unmarked crib. The nurses didn't know what to do, and nobody claimed the child, nor did they have any records of the child being born there. So, one of the nurses decided to raise him as her own, to the joy of her husband, who was unable to have children. He was raised in a home by the shore, so he was always close to the water. He surfed, swam, he was attached to the water. His father was a journalist, his mother a nurse, and they were both very different, yet still loved each other dearly. However, they wanted their son to fit their molds. Atticus, his first name, was picked by his father, who adored writing and all written works. The name was from the novel To Kill A Mockingbird. Mr. Marino wanted his son to follow his footsteps. Nikola, his middle name, was chosen by his mother, who had an affinity for medical science. Of course, Nikola came from Nikola Tesla, the famous scientist. However, Niko didn't find either medicine nor journalism interesting, and this caused a bit of tension between his parents. What he really wanted to be was a marine biologist. After much toil with his parents, he finally went to a choice academy and got his diploma in biology. He spent his summer in celebration, sunshine, and surrounded by hotties on the beach near his home. Bobby's life began in the most unexpected way. He was found on a frigid, snowy night in the dense forests of Minnesota. The cold had left him shivering, wrapped in nothing but a thin blanket. It was Harold Berger, a kind-hearted man, who stumbled upon the abandoned child. He took the baby home to his wife, who was initially hesitant about taking in a stranger's child. But as they gazed into the innocent face of the child, they both knew they had to take him in as their own.

As Bobby grew up, it was clear that he was the spitting image of his parents in looks, but they couldn't help but wonder about his biological family. They raised him in a big family of 2 brothers and 3 sisters, all of whom were talented and skilled at hockey, which was the family's biggest passion. Bobby, being the youngest, felt a strong desire to catch up to his siblings' abilities. This fueled his determination to work hard and practice tirelessly to improve his skills.

Bobby's dedication to hard work was evident in every aspect of his life. He learned from his family and those he considered close to him, eagerly absorbing their knowledge and insights. Whether it was mechanical skills from his eldest brother or thoughtful teachings from a trusted teacher. There was also a darker side to Bobby's personality. He would go along with his friends picking on people justifying it as "messing around" with the person. He was willing to do anything to help his friends, including playing dirty in hockey. He believed that as long as he was helping his team win, it was the right thing to do. Despite his flaws, Bobby was a talented hockey player, and his coach appreciated his willingness to do whatever it takes to win. His coach saw a potential star in Bobby, not just for his skills but also for his tenacity and loyalty to his team.

After graduating high school with decent grades Bobby had plans to pursue a higher education in history. Fate had other plans for him. He received a mysterious letter, and although skeptical he soon he found himself on a shimmering bus.

  Backstory: Grew up in a small mining town in the middle of nowhere, making friends with stray cats more than people. Sure, her parents were around... When there wasn't some trip involved. And there was a trip every other day. Truthfully, she didn't hold anything against their trips- they usually asked if she wanted to go, and she declined. Orion had full faith that El would be alright by the time she was 12, though Valorie had her doubts. As a result, Valorie usually ended up staying home inspite of Orion's requests for her to join him. El learned to grow up pretty quickly, running errands for people while similarly using her dad's techniques to gather fresh food. She was certainly no wild animal; she even had a few friends who also liked to jump into hay bales, drink hose water, and scare birds into giant flocks. Her friends had always known she was uncanny as a hunter; many times she showed off, catching a bounding rabbit with a well-placed trap, or snagging a boar in rope. At one point or another the spectacle wore off, but her skill only improved with age.
  
  As Elspeth got older, so too did her parents seem to care more and more. Her dad, Orion, would come home for practice, ushering her on days long hikes for especially rare finds. Even despite them rarely speaking, those memories are cherished by El to this day. Her mother, Valorie, would also come to dote, though this wouldn't last. The war is exactly what took Valorie from Orion and El. The young huntress's mother was murdered, simply because she was an easy target. And the father, Orion, was not. She was taken down in order to weaken Orion, who in his grief left El with nothing but a knife and a simple note. "I will find who killed your mother." El hasn't seen her father in 3 years now; she doesn't want to give up hope on him, but her confidence in him wanes by the day. More than anything, she misses him...

  Elspeth doesn't have many connections, but knows her mother would want her to make some.
  
  Orion, Her Father (Orion): Presently, has been missing for 3 years now. A very stoic individual, valuing actions over words in almost every situation. His parents weren't creative with his name, but that seems to rarely bother him. He uses a lot of body language to convey what he means, usually signing in his own personal 'sign indicators'. A very passionate man, and when he does use words they are typically layered and filled with meaning. Those who don't know him don't understand him well, but Val and Elspeth had no problems. He was the sort of man who wasn't afraid to cry when he felt it necessary. Or to kiss his child's head.
  
  Valorie, Her Mother (Ara): One of the most dedicated and faithful people that Elspeth ever encountered, which made her death all the more tragic. Granted, she was a bit of a helicopter parent and worried herself sick, but El much preferred this to the reality of the situation. She talked dreamily of when she met Orion, and how he had made her warm clothes and made the finest meals known to man or constellation alike. In turn, she gifted him an animal that was incredibly difficult to hunt, but not impossible. Elspeth still wonders if this is true. Quick to anger and slow to placate, once Remi gets going, there's no stopping them short of overpowering them. They'll readily fight anyone who gets in their way, teachers included. Highly competitive, they're willing to fight dirty if it means they'll come out of the encounter the winner. They take everything seriously, so things like sarcasm tend to go right over their head. They also solve their problems with violence rather than words, so insults will typically earn you a black eye - or worse. Remi is very straightforward with their words when they do decide to talk things out, and can come off as quite blunt. They're not very good at expressing or feeling their emotions, and tend to get more angry and frustrated with things like that.   Remi was gifted to their father late one night while he was out stargazing - Remi's mother had fashioned them from the flames of the campfire and her own ash and soot. Remi's father, Alexander Beckham, did his best to raise his only child, but being a single father was difficult. He worked two jobs and didn't make much, but it was enough to get by on. Because Alex was constantly working, only coming home to sleep, he wound up not really having much time to raise Remi, making their relationship rather strained. As soon as Remi was able to take care of themselves, they'd been alone, as Alex couldn't afford a babysitter forever. Remi wasn't the best student in school, and often got picked on by the other kids for having messy, secondhand clothes or no money for lunch. This constant bullying led Remi to lash out back at the kids, and frequently they'd get into schoolyard scraps with the other bullies at the school. This continued on into secondary school, until eventually the bullies that used to pick on Remi had come to respect them and even became something of a posse with them, ditching class to roam the halls or go smoke outside. Their antics didn't stop at school, however, and the band of delinquents would often roam the streets in the bad part of town, looking for easy money - shops to steal from, people to pickpocket, the like. It wasn't until Remi was arrested one night that Alex felt he had to step in - they were failing school, and if this pattern kept up, they'd be in jail most of their life. It was a serious problem of what to do with them, as they were quickly reaching adulthood and barely listened to him regardless. But when she was born, he thought it best that he not drag his daughter into the complicated life of being what he was. But he visited often, always watching from a distance. He came to her swim meets, races, and games. She just never knew he was there. When her mother had told her father about the manifestation of Aria's powers, she was sent a letter in the mail...
  - Family: As far as she could remember, Aria's father was never a part of her life. So instead of letting it bother her that he abandoned her and her mother after she was born, she simply chose to ignore his existence. I mean, it wasn't too hard since he was never around anyway, but she tried to forget about him. She definitely has some pent-up anger towards her dad from when she was younger though, wondering what was so wrong with her that he'd decided to leave. She doesn't know anything about her father besides the fact that he's a douchebag.

Azul is widely known by those that know them as an expert on having their head on the clouds, with their gaze fixed on nothing at any chance they have. Despite seeming a bit like an airhead, he is very kind to those he considers friends, and loyal to boot, becoming easily affectionate once they're sure they're close with someone. He often has a laidback, lighthearted and relaxed air to him, caring little about anything that might happen or leaving it to luck or fate, which used to make him seen like an approachable upperclassman during highschool and led to him being the go-to when newer kids needed help with something.
Despite this, Azul is also a reckless child who cares little about his own well-being when it comes down to it and has a rather gray morality, being known to steal anything from snacks and food to anything shiny that catches his eye. He is rather nonchalant about his shoplifting habits, sometimes getting petty and saying that it's not his fault that owners don't have proper security methods and shamelessly sharing any food he steals.
Beyond this, Azul is well versed in talking without saying anything and subtly keeping people at arm's length, effectively bottling up all their problems or deflecting with humor. Although they hate talking about it, childhood bullying and being constantly dismissed or demeaned by adults has left them an insecure mess that prefers the company of animals rather than people their own age.

History

20 years ago, the previous blood of Lepus fell in love with a nurse while visiting a small town down in Argentina, and both of them soon got into an odd relationship. It was certainly not ideal, since the Lepus heir had periods of disappearing for weeks or months at a time. The last time she showed up was 2 years later, but her lover was not home, and when he came he found a small infant that looked like an exact copy of her with nothing but a note pleading for him to take care of it. For all of 3 years he tried to care for the child as his own, yet whether it be because of the bitterness of having to be reminded of his past lover while looking at the infant, or something else, he gave up and put the child for adoption.
Azul does not remember much of their early life, but the memories of how they just didn't fit with many of the kids at the orphanage, who for years would make fun of them for being abandoned and take his things away; and the clear dismissal of the workers who would tell him the others were just playing or to deal with it by himself still live with him to this day. Eventually, one way or another, Azul found himself stealing snacks and other food from shops and sharing it with the younger kids at their orphanage, becoming a sort of protective figure over them and in the process learning to put up a more positive facade.
It was when they were nearly 15 that Azul finally got adopted by a kind woman that, after some time, Azul claimed to be his only mother, refusing even the idea of meeting their biological parents.
Life was finally going well in Azul's eyes, becoming more honestly positive and relaxed. For their mom's new job as a hotel receptionist they had moved to North Carolina. It was only a few months after that they found an odd letter addressed to them, which they thought to be a joke from their mom since their grades were certainly not high enough for any institute to reach out to him. They couldn't really think it was a joke anymore with an even odder bus coming over the very next day...

She created Azul from clay and dandelion seeds before leaving them with Daniel as a sign that she still loved him, despite not being able to be with him.

Daniel Rojo

Azul's "father", a nurse working for a big hospital. Whether he was unable to, or simply didn't want to care for a child is something that Azul doesn't really care to find out.

Rosa Romero

Rosa is Azul's adoptive mother, but for him, she's as real a mother as any. She's the one person Azul feels comfortable opening up to and has been trying to stop their bad habits with...moderate success. She's taught him many things and her patience is something that he values most of all.
