It wasn’t a Soviet weapons platform that could accelerate to M1 and fire an ICBM to hit any target around the world…
It wasn’t multiple bipedal walking tanks that could host an arsenal of firepower and be virtually indestructible to conventional munitions; able to raze entire militaries to the ground and bring nations to heel.
It wasn’t a parasite that would eliminate the entirety of spoken language in 100% of Humans.
It wasn’t a multi-faceted AI that went on to govern the world in the shadows like a modern day INGSOC…
It was one hippy-stoner man in a green shirt with an insatiable appetite who happens to own an alien masquerading as a Great Dane.

I’ve been thinking this too. Due to Snake’s nature, I think interactions are going to be somewhat disjointed at first. Almost like how John Wick speaks to a certain degree. Courteous, polite, mission driven but there’s a marked absence with small talk. Someone’s going to have to be annoyingly persistent (looking at you skeleton man 
to get the man to talk, but there will be moments of outreach from him to the people he gets to know.
