    We have a couple festivals planned, plus a judged evaluation thing, and maybe some pep rallies. I'd definitely like to improve with the guitar, and I'm dedicated enough to keep the nails on my left hand short and the nails on my right hand long.

    School got cancelled for tomorrow too because of the fire that started yesterday. It has covered about 65,000 acres now, with 0% containment.

    School got cancelled tomorrow because some road caught on fire, and the smoke and ash is so bad that it's blocking the sun and tinting everything orange. This is why schools in the desert should give everyone gas masks.

    It happens more often in the desert where I live. We have very low humidity, tumble weeds, winds etc. A single cigarette can catch fire, and the road will get shut down for days.

    Lol thanks. People who aren't from California always seem to think that there's LA, San Francisco, and everything else is some sort of surfing paradise, but they forget that a lot of Southern Cali is desert, and it's no paradise  :(

    The only thing is that now I actually own one, I can't just return it if I decide I don't want to play the sax after all. But I guess that's more of an incentive to keep playing.

    It gets worse. The band teacher is technically retired, so he can only work a certain amount of hours, which means he'll only be at the school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The rest of the time is being taught by the "general" music teacher, who doesn't know much about specific instruments.

    I love those kinds of teachers, when you can tell that they actually are passionate about what they do. Luckily, my school is full of them. Now, my elementary school is an entirely different story...
