Ok i am off.

Now normally i just allow relationships and friendships in my RP's to develop organically. However this one in particular has us starting as a squad. Meaning some of us have been at it for a while. For example Thomas was in the third Scout squad for 20 years before he made it to captain. Now he leads the team. So a few important questions.

1. How long have you been with the Nomads. Some have been with them since birth like Mark and Cole

2. How long have you been a scout. Fresh faces are welcomed, but experience is valuable as well.

3. Who do you know? Both Mark and Thomas are great mentor characters. Mark being one of the worlds leading experts in survival and strategy, with Thomas being the Nomads leading expert on otherworldly beings and their realms.

AliceNWeb AliceNWeb @Casmir Landrikson @ChunkyBeef @Rusty of Shackleford @Jennifer Rose @Shog Abientot Abientot

1. Since birth

2. Since he could hold a gun

3. Mark, Cole, Thomas - Abientot Abientot would you want to collab?

Also if anyone would like to collab with John I'm open to it

Hhhhmm, well, it doesn't say but the closest guess is a tarantula. Probably Arizona Desert Tarantula I could be wrong since I'm not an arachnoexpert.
Mmm idk if it's a normal sized spider it seems microscopic and the eyes aren't fully developed and the fangs are not... they're... odd.

Anaïs has been living with the nomads since she was 13, so nine years and she was convinced into being a scout the moment she was 17, so 5 years in total. She knows pretty much knows everyone who gets themselves injured often, (so hey if that sounds like your character, let me know). But she truly does look up to Mark and wants to lean medicine from his side of things.

AliceNWeb AliceNWeb what was your collab idea? He has the time magic immunity so should we be more friends? Or more uneasy about each other? Honestly Anaïs would probably be more friendly.

I was thinking that Anaïs would be a kind of Mentor to John, interested in the process of making medicine. Since John is detective/combat oriented he'd have a lot to learn from her. So it would be more of a friendship I guess? I think it'd be the opposite with the time immunity he'd probably be pretty comfortable knowing he couldn't be effected by it.

So with the time immunity, when she uses it she seemed to be going at super speed at the moment, by just slowing it down. So like if it's a medical emergency she would treat people faster. So is he also able to know she is using it? Or like when she is using it does it affect him too?

Mark would find some solidarity with her. That said with the exception of birthing and caring for children where he is an expert, your character probably has more medical knowledge than Mark does. Though he would have much to offer in Psycology.

Also on a side note...and this may be creepy. But since he can see spirits an physical matter...technically Thomas could see peoples souls.

No he'd be unaffected by the time freeze he'd perceive time just as she does, possibly making him a valuable nurse for her. He also can't bleed to death and is immune to anything that damages over time, such as drowning, poisons, etc.

Okay so when time changes he goes with it! Good to know! No questions. I think it would be good for them to be friends and they could use it together like he combats and she tends wounds or vice versa.

Yeah or he can even help with medical procedures. Like she can walk him through how to use herbs or bandage certain wounds... stuff like that.

Yeah, so should she have already started teaching him some pain management techniques? And maybe basic first aid?

1. 6 years.

2. 4 years.

3. Mark and Cole obviously and who else... will whoever wants to collab.

Morning y'all.

Those who mentee under mark would find him to be pretty lax, he doesnt tell you how he does things, he gets to know your skill set and then builds a strategy to train you accordingly.

Cole is much more fun to train with but he doesnt really teach you so much as be a punching bag for fists, weapons, and even powers. He does suggest what he called "Wicked cool combos" where he will suggest ways to optimize powers weapons and skills. Despite his stunted intellect he is pretty smart when it comes to fighting.

Since we are explaining our characters... Here we go.

Sam is usually a quiet and reserved individual, however he is open to any chitchat if people approach him, he does listen in on conversations and will participate if he finds the topic interesting. He really prefers the lookout role because of his skill with a rifle, and it helps him improve his powers' ability for accuracy. He has been found practicing his aim with not just his weapons but with anything he can get his hands on, he also practices his MCMAP and says he has some bumps to iron out of his locks and pins. He prides his skill of accuracy but that also brings a burden on him to preform better as his missed shot could mean the death of a squad member.

John - to put it simply, has seen a lot of shit during his 4 lifetimes; this one being his 5th. All of those experiences have been retained throughout each reincarnation.

His personality... well it can be a bit all over the place at times. Usually he's laid back, a bit too carefree about things and somehow everything works out for him. The only times this air about him changes is when the Scout Group is fighting or when he gets a bit too intoxicated. At times with intoxication his demons get the better of him and the sociopath with psychotic tendencies manifests. When he's fighting he's as calm as a rock and extremely focused.

When he's interested in a topic he's also extremely focused and retains the knowledge easily.

Lastly he views the nomadic group as his family, because they are. Despite heated disputes that may arise or even a physical fight now and then he would lay his life down for any of the scouts in his group.

John and the Captain (Thomas) are extremely efficient together in both strategy and ability - together they could probably put some pretty good damage into a demon.

John, Mark, and Cole have sparred/fought on many ocassions both physically and verbally abusing each other. Pretty much fighting like wolves but it grows the bond between them. WeaselThor WeaselThor

John could also have sparred with Sam, since Sam always seeks to improve his fighting ability.
Sounds good to me, it would be very unrealistic hand-to-hand since 1. I don't personally know all that much about martial arts and 2. he was part of a super-soldier program during his 3rd lifetime through the People's Liberation Army (China). Somewhere in the CS he's stated to be able to disassemble another person's weapon during active combat.

They might not be on even ground in terms of experiences but here is a link to Sam's martial art scroll down to techniques, black belt first degree.

I found some vids to help you visualize what Sam's capable of.

I'm not sure how I feel about that particular fighting style it seems useful against muggers and insurgents but against another trained military personnel - it seems most of the combat is focused on catching the other person off guard because they're being stupid with their hands/arms. I'm having a hard time imagining what a fight between say... Marine and a Green Beret would look like.

Also when I said I didn't know much about martial arts it mostly has to do with terminology of moves and the break down of said moves; I couldn't describe the mechanics of a grapple take down for instance.
