Penelope tilted her head to the side curiously at Melody's response. She still seemed shook up about something, but it wasn't like she could really push the matter, not since scent was the key factor she was using right now to determine Melody's state of mind. "Well," she said with a smile, "if you wanna talk, I'll listen." She offered, deciding to leave it at that.

"Vacation day?" Ariao muttered, puzzled. What would cause Mr. Fractris to need a vacation day right at the first day of school? Sick day, sure, she could believe that, but this? Was there something else going on? She was so deep into her thoughts at the news that she didn't even hear Leo stand up and head to the front of the room.

"Ha! That's what everyone thought of her father until the murders came to light. And who WOULD believe it? The most respected DA between here and Wyland having a penchant for murder? She's learned all his tricks and is playing them out right before everyone's eyes. My friends and I are the only ones who know the truth while she spends the days setting up the front of hers so that no one suspects a thing." Jonas said darkly, his eyes relighting in fury the more he talked about it.

"I appreciate the gesture, but it's nothing," Melody replied back gruffly, slumping back down in her seat and reassembling her desk for class. Her heart raced in her chest as she waited for another voice to sound through her head, beginning to sweat.

"Thank you, young man," the sub thanked Leo.
"Oh, uh... Leonardo Inlustris. That's my name. But most everyone calls me Leo," he replied to the sub with a charming smile. The sub met his gaze and was nearly mesmerized by it. "Oh... Well, thank you for the... Polite introduction," the sub responded to him, then turned and made his way back to the desk.
Leo glanced up every row, making sure to count everyone in each one, and counted out the copies to pass back. Once he was finally done, he kept a copy for himself, returned the extras back to the desk, then returned to his seat. He looked to Ariao and grinned at her.

Rana hummed, almost smirking now as she watched Jonas curiously. "And what proof do you have that Ariao Gavin is, hiding behind her own facade, as you say it?" Her eyes continued to glint. She was almost convinced.

She raised an eyebrow in confusion. "I don't really watch the news, but I don't think I've seen anything about her." Her golden brown eyes watched him intently. It was strange that this was the first she was hearing of any sort of trouble around Ariao. She paused for a moment, before it suddenly smacked her. Jonas had made a comment about her father, so it was probably something revolving around him. At first she was trying to think of any articles done on a teenage girl, but she was going about it all wrong. "What did you say her last name was?"

"Gavin. There's no way you haven't heard. It's been all over everywhere. I'm sure some assholes around this school are gossiping about it, too. Ariao's had it rough this past summer, alright? I... I need to be there for her..." Spencer replied, blushing a bit as he shrugged his backpack higher onto his shoulder. "So I had to have Rosalie schedule me to be in all of her classes, but I don't really meet the requirements for those classes, and so that's where you came into play." He turned away from Brandy to hide his face. The hood helped a great deal, thankfully.

She gave a small nod at the last name. Gavin was the last name of the guy who had been arrested for murder recently. Brandy had heard slight whispers, but never paid attention to them. Honestly, the only reason she reacted the way she did today was because he had simply thrown mud at a girl's father, something she was all too familiar with. An almost heaviness sank in her chest as she watched the way Spencer's face changed when talking about Ariao. Was it an envious feeling? Maybe. After all, she had spent a number of years on her own. Though the feeling didn't seem to fade away soon enough.
She continued walking along him before reaching their new class room's door. "I understand." She gave a slight nod, talking more like an employee at a new firm more than anything else. She gave once last look at him, her brown eyes glazed over. "Shall we?"

Spencer finally looked back to Brandy, relieved the blush on his face had faded away. He gave her a small smile and opened the door for her, trying his best at being a gentleman.

(It's all good)
She gave a small nod as thanks before entering the room. The teacher at the front, a man who didn't look like a Daemon, looked over at the two. "We were at the office." Brandy told him, earning a nod as he then pointed at some empty desks. Making her way across the room, Brandy plopped down at one of the empty seats. Quickly she retrieved her newly printed schedule to determine what subject this was.

Spencer let Brandy do the explaining, dreading his last year of high school already. He reverted back to his moodiness from before, not even greeting the teacher as he turned and searched for Ariao. When he saw her settled at the back next to Leo, his inner wolf's fur bristled. However, he took a deep breath and kept it at bay as he moved to join her. He saw Brandy out of the corner of his eye going for a cluster of empty desks at the back and suddenly felt split. He glanced over to Ariao, then to Brandy. It didn't seem like the girl had too many friends, but he also knew Ariao needed his support. He sighed and looked to Brandy. "Hey, I'll sit with you in the next class," he called over to her, then started once more for the desk next to Ariao.

She gave a small salute, suggesting she really didn't care, but it did hurt a little. What did she expect though? She had just formally met the guy. She growled to herself, tugging her ponytail into a tighter grasp. This is why she didn't have friends. She got too attached too quick. She was better off hanging by herself. No expectations and, therefore, no disappointments. Quietly, she reached for her bag, aiming to pull at some sort of notebook for note taking, but was met with nothing. Wide eyed, she looked down to see her bag wasn't there. She had left it in Ms. Magia's room. Another low rumble escaped her as she slumped back in the chair.

Spencer watched Brandy with a bit of concern before he settled into his seat next to Ariao. "Hey, it worked out. I was able to get into allllll of your classes. But... there's a catch..." He sighed heavily and looked back at Brandy, still feeling guilty. He may act cold and careless... but in reality, he cared too much about others.

Okay DD. Is there anyone else you want to rp with? We could have another of your characters be in the same class as Brandy, Spencer, Leo, and Ariao. Maybe they can sit next to Spencer or Leo))

Also, my characters Mavis and Vivian are roaming the halls currently searching for Leo's class if you want someone to run into them))

(I totally missed those messages! I didn't get notified. Let me see, cause my other two are in there twenties lol. You added Mr. Fractis in at one point right? If he isn't being used for bigger plot/busy I thought he and Isaac could be friends/acquaintances. Or I might make up another character lol)

Even though the link was dimmed, Travis could feel a sense of nervousness from his mate. Smirking, he leaned against the tree on the other side of Hitaka. *You know, if you wanted to hear my voice that badly, all you had to do was ask.* He looked over at the few sparse trees that dotted the roadsides. "School is only supposed to be a half day today, so we'll stick around here for now. Once Genta and Melody get out, we'll start looking for a more suitable place to wait closer to the school."

Ariao saw Leo smile in her direction and turned her head away quickly, hoping the faint heat she felt in her cheeks wasn't showing. "So you prefer Leo...." she mumbled just as Spencer came in with Brandy. Grateful for the distraction, she looked over at them as they came into the room. Seeing her friend look, what she thought, longingly over at the other girl. "You found yourself another friend finally?" She asked in a whisper, though she felt a tightness in her chest as she asked, she tried to force her tone to be cheerful. At his other words, she frowned. "What catch? And how did you manage to get into all of mine so easily?"

"Have you seen those little guard dogs of hers?" Jonas asked with a scoff. "Friends stick up for each other, yes, but those three take it beyond that. They've never left her side since middle school and they won't let anyone close to her. Now, what comes to mind when you think of someone like that? Bodyguards. And why, pray tell, would anyone need people like that? Especially now that her father's been imprisoned? During the trial period? Sure, I could see it, but now it's just excessive."

Just got off of work. I'm gonna shower then I'll be on. And DD we can have Isaac and Daemon meet up, sure. He should be on his way to his and Haemon's home from the market. He's in Varana right now but they live in Cywood))

(One reset later and the internet is magically back. Must have had a power surge out here with the most recent storm.)
