Azura Cunobelinus
Azura giggled.
"I was thinking of giving the students a good scare. I would want to avoid Himegami's group if possible but any other group is fair game. My idea was since I could become like water, sneak up on a group of students, come out of the water with my hair over my face. Possibly saying something very hoarsely before screaming loudly, sinking back into the water and watch. But I will by no means try to touch them or anything."
She said to Headmistress Reese.

Misaki looked at Oliver and nodded her head. She didn't care much for being in the middle or not. If anything outrageous happened, she would and will defend herself if needed if Walter was preoccupied. Walter also agreed, having Misaki in the middle gave an advantage as she could sense, through the contract, whatever movement was happening on the trees. Earth wasn't just the soil. It also encompassed plants as well since they made up a large portion of the Earth powers, she just didn't have access to it like he had but she could sense through them, just faint pulses.
"I think it best to move, now. We do need to cover a lot of area to find the place where the flag is being located. I can direct us in a certain direction when on the trees but its faint."
Walter said.

The "girl with the funny accent" was having a rather rough time, having just found herself sudenly dumped into a swamp, loosing something in the murky waters, and having absolutely no clue why she was there.

If the courtyard with only a dozen student had been a headache, then the cafeteria was a full blown migraine. There were so many people in there, each with their own unique aura of all shapes and colors, mixing together with everyone else's, that she actually came to a dead stop in the door. How was she supposed to get through that? What others saw as a straight shot to the line, to Willow was an obstacle course, one she was not interested in navigating. Besides, she told herself, she wasn't really that hungry.

So she went back to her room, where no one could talk to her, bump into her, or bother her in general. But there wasn't much for her to actually do. The room was practically empty, sans the furniture, since being homeless had left her with few belongings. She did still need to empty her backpack, having decided to sleep yesterday rather than unpack, so she set about doing just that. Again, she didn't have much; a few sets of clothes, a water botle, a half empty first-aid kit, and a book she'd read so many times the pages were falling out.

She put her stuff away, tossing a torn and bloody hoodie in the trash, before sitting down on the bed and pulling out a locket. It was old, Victorian in design, yet in surprisingly good condition. It was something of a family heirloom, supposedly having been passed down through her mother's side, so she was very attached to the thing. More than that, there was something inside it. She could see an aura glowing through its cracks. The problem: she couldn't open it.

She was still fiddling with it, like she had for the last nine years, when suddenly the world folded in on itself and she was no longer sitting on her bed but in a swamp. She shrieked at suddenly finding herself soaked and scrambled out of the water, only to realize that she had dropped the locket. "Nonono!" She cried out, jumping back into the murky water and digging around. She managed to find it after a couple of minutes, only to nearly lose it again when Oliver decided to scare the hell out of her.

And that was how Willow found herself wading through a swamp in her socks with probably a priceless artifact hanging around her neck. If that wasn't bad enough, she had been dragged into a group with the jerk with the arms, the boy, with the metal thorns, and a girl with a dark cloud around her.

Marie's brown eyes darted between the group until two of them answered her questions. She sighed in relief, finally knowing why she was there. One of them introduced themselves to her as Walter, the butler and bodyguard to a girl named Misaki. She waved back timidly at the girl who waved super excitedly towards her. "Nice to meet you, I'm Marie Lavenza." She said to the girl before the other person who explained why they were there paired her up with a guy named Soren. Marie turned around to face the one named Soren. Now that she's looking at them, she recognized the face. She saw them at what Marie was told, the demonstration of their powers. She didn't get to watch this person demonstration, and didnt learn their name until now, but she at least remembered their face from a distance.

Marie nodded towards the person who told her to pair up Soren. They didn't notice her nod though, the male leaving with his group. All she heard before he left was that he hoped that she would be some type of use. That made Marie grimace. She didn't know her power, nor how to start it. If the people who mentally survived her power while she "blacked out" she would learn, but so far, no one who experienced it was mentally stable after. The girl shook the thoughts out of her head before walking over to Soren with a smile. "Hi! I'm Marie. You're.. Soren? As I heard?" She said in a question. She didn't want to go up to the wrong person and say the wrong name.

→ Unsure how they had ended up being ordered around by somebody they suspected was a member of the undead, (Oliver), Soren found themselves in charge of a pack of strays. They could only assume they were in charge, since somebody had to take the lead and they weren't afraid to volunteer. Briefly, they surveyed their group: Willow, they had encountered before (although she'd been cleaner then), Will, they knew vaguely, but the newbie they weren't even sure they recognised. Additionally, Soren wasn't sure about any of their abilities aside from Will's and they had heard Oliver mention something about Willow being able to see better or something. They weren't sure when good eyesight became a super power but whatever.

"Yeah, that's right," Soren told her, "Nice to meet ya, Marie, but we ain't got much time to stand around chitchatting. I'm thinking maybe they're giving us a headstart or something and I don't wanna miss our chance. Willow! Will! You're with me too, if you don't mind. Let's go, team."

They weren't sure whether being in a group of four was going to play to their advantage or be their downfall but there wasn't time to stand around thinking about it. Without hesitation, Soren started pushing their way through their way through the trees, presuming the others would follow them. Already, they were thinking about how good it would be if they ended up being the team that got the flag. No doubt it was a quick way to prove yourself. This was a game of survival and Soren was confident they could come out on top. As long as nobody on the team got themselves killed or tagged or eaten by an alligator or whatever.

"I know I'm a dumbass so this might sound fucking stupid but strategy wise; I'm thinking that I'm the offence, Will is the defence, Willow is our lookout, and Maria-" They paused as they thought, pushing a branch aside, "What exactly can you do, Lavenza? Better be good."

Isroh nods his massive head crowned with horns, deciding it'd be good to go ahead and start. Best to cover as much ground as they could before they run into anyone. Wendigos were relatively mobile creatures when dealing with thick woods. The beast kept his head high and crooked forward as to nudge tree branches out of the way with his antlers before they hit the girl on his back. Saddly, although it was mostly effected, a few branches would occasionally sweep by them and brush across Natasha's shoulders and legs.

His gate was relatively swift with long strides but not at all rough before he drops his head to the ground, attempting to get a scent... nothing. Seemed this would be harder than he thought. Isroh sets his clawed front feet down into a muddy bank, eyeing the water for a moment. There was another strip of land if he waded through the water and he was sure it wasn't more than 4 feet deep. An easy passage as the water would only be up to just below his rib cage. Although a moment of hesitation struck him as the water was murky, anything could be swimming around in there.

Isroh supposed all the wildlife threats where cleared so with that he steps down into the water, heading across, just hoping Natasha would be fine with it. Water shouldn't touch her if his estimate on the depth were right.

Will shrugged, completely fine with having a fun group of four. Although it did feel like a bit of an estrogen party... well wait... did Sorren count? Will just counted them as neutral in that regard. I can be both offence and defense if need be. I didn't show all my secrets on the first day. The skater smirks, 8 blades swirling around behind him, out of the way for now.

Will blinks, looking around for a minute. The other groups may struggle through the thickets, Isroh could handle just general ground coverage pretty well, so seems the heavy foliage would be a common issue for everyone except him. I think we need to tackle the dense shit. I can clear it without issue. Probably wise for such a large group to stay out of the open anyway and the four of us can probably handle it. Ya'll do the looking and I can cut us a path. Will offers, blades suddenly rotating their sharp sides outward and lashing outward at the edge of the forest, slicing away brush and branches with ease. We'll be a bit slower, but we'll be going through a difficult area.

→ Mostly, Natasha had been focusing on clinging to the Wendigo to prevent herself from tumbling off his back and hurting herself. She occupied her mind by chattering a mile a minute, unbothered by the fact that Isroh didn't respond. She wasn't always bothered about having people respond to her when she talked as it meant she wouldn't be interrupted. Occasionally, she would interrupt herself to proclaim "ouch!" or similar when a sharp branch brushed against her leg or when a twig caught her on her shoulder. The injuries were small, though, and didn't bleed. One scratch she received on her hand did bubble with blood along the line of the wound but she stuck it in her mouth without hesitation and was glad Isroh hadn't attempted to eat her.

When Isroh stopped, Natasha tried to calculate what he might be doing or thinking. Were they lost? She hoped not, crossing her fingers as she removed her hand from her mouth. When he headed towards the water, she was more confused still until Isroh eased them down the muddy bank into the water. She hoped he knew what she was doing and that there wasn't anything out here that could kill her. Natasha didn't know much about Florida- except that it was so hot that her hair had been sticking to the back of her neck from the moment they arrived- or the wildlife there. There might be alligators, right? She wondered if the faculty would have removed the dangerous animals for their safety or if that would just be considered part of the exam.

"Careful..." She warned Isroh, her grip tightening on him involuntarily. The water was murky and dark, meaning she couldn't be sure of the depth and whether they may or may not suddenly dip into the water. The water was deep enough to soak into her shoes and socks, which made her flap with discomfort and make an odd, discontented humming noise; the sensation was unpleasant.

Marie made a face when Will, from what the others called him, said they should go through the dense parts. "Wouldn't that slow us down? If it's a head start, we might try to get through it as fast as we can, not spending time finding holes or clearing thickets so we can get through." She said to Will. In all honesty, the girl didn't want to travel through it. A headstart is a headstart. You gotta make the best of it. "I say we get through it the easy way at first, then when the thing actually starts, go into the dense stuff so nothing can follow us." She said. That was her way of thinking anyways. She listened to the next thing that Will said, saying that a big group shouldn't be out in the open, making the girl agree with him. So he wasn't trying to slow them down, he was trying to protect them from the dangers of this trial. Maybe, just maybe, they could actually get ahead of thebother groups. Her head was turned towards the dense area when Sorren asked about what she could do, her heart dropping. She would be no use to this group. Not after she tells them she has no clue what so ever.

Her brown eyes were brought back to the one who asked the question, a look of nervousness in them as she held her left arm in her hand. "I uh.. don't know. No one has been stable enough to tell me uh.. after they experienced it. I can't remember a thing that happens when my powers, or power comes out." She explains to him. She looked down at the ground, hoping that they wouldn't ditch her for her not knowing what kind of power she had. "We should get going now actually. A headstart is a headstart. Should take advantage of it." She said, looking towards Will. "you said you can clear it easily, and if Sorren can too, you guys take the lead." She told them, stepping to the side so they can get in the front. They needed to move, all the other teams have moved away, they needed to also.

Willow frowned when Soren called himself a dumbass. Sure she was a little self deprecating herself, but apparently Soren was an ass as much to himself as to others. She wasn't sure why he thought his idea might be stupid, it seemed sound to her, though she didn't know about her being the lookout. She didn't really see more then anyone else per say, just differently, but as there wasn't anything else she could do either, she didn't argue and just nodded.

She remained quiet and fiddled with her locket as the others discussed their plans, neither wanting nor having any input, even when they decided to go through the underbrush. If she were to speak her mind she would have argued against it, besides the poisonous plants and animals hiding in the brush there were also ghosts and possibly loa that lived of the main paths. Why didn't she say anything? Habit mostly. She learned the hard way that when she talked about the things she could see people would ignore her. Or make her take pills.

It was when the conversation turned to the cloud girl's powers that Willow remembered that everyone else here was as much a freak as her, so maybe talking about what she could see wouldn't be that bad. But did she really want to? Opening up to people meant that they might get close to her, that she might start caring about them, and that was dangerous. So she'd remain silent. At least that was the plan, until Marie revealed that she didn't know her power and looked down, clearly expecting them to abandon her. So sighing, Willow approached the spectacled girl. "Let's seh wha' ah' can't figure out..."

She walked around the girl examining her aura. She was no expert in aura reading, having had little exposer to people with powers before now, but from what she could tell auras tended to be symbolic more than literal (though there were exceptions). First thing she focused on was the obvious. "You're surrounded by clouds. clouds ten' ta symbolize t' win', but ah' dinnea feel a breeze aroun' you..." She ran a hand through the clouds, feeling grains rather than air. "San'? san' tends ta represent time, but it can alsoa refa ta a brief existence... Wha' abaht t' sandman? 'is sands cause sleep- Oh! Clouds are a common motif i' dreams! Sa clouds o' san' represent a powa o'a dreams. But why are theyn black?" At this point she started mumbling to herself, getting quieter and quieter till she stopped talking altogether, all thoughts of sharing her insight leaving as she focused on solving this puzzle.

Will nods, taking all Marie's concerns into consideration although in the end he supposed she'd accepted his thoughts as a plausible plan. Besides. Who would hide a flag out in the open? They're wanting it to be hard so chances are it's hidden somewhere hard to find. Maybe if we never get out in the open, the taggers won't see us. Will reasoned. The ex-skater reaches to his back pocket, setting his glasses upon the bridge of his nose as the blades move back a few feet behind him.

Just a side note. Stay a good 7 feet back. I need to get a good range and it's kind of hard to slow them down once I get started. The rows of sharpened edges split into two cutting edges caused by 4 blades overlaying each other, just as one silvery edge began to taper to an end, another began so it was a continuous sharp edge. One rotated forward, slashing down foliage clockwise in a more downward motion as the other quickly followed in the other direction. Both crossing each other then circling around the back. As one ledge cut the other was making it's trip back around to cut again. Sure enough eventually the momentum was built and the blades began to ring faintly and they traveled a pretty far distance but were completely under control. Rotational velocity made an object immidiately gravitate to the edge of its range, making it incredibly difficult for Will to use his ability so close to his body in an orbital fashion. It was like putting an object in a bag and then spinning the bag, the object wouldn't fall out as it'd be slung against the bottom of the bag instead.

Keep a good lookout for me, I'm fucking blind. That wasn't a lie at all, Will's depth perception was horrible and unless something was relatively close to his face, he couldn't see it. Glasses helped but not to the point that it'd be as good as someone who hadn't bashed their brains out... literally.

Misaki and Oliver make their through a large chunk of the swamp, mostly unhindered. In fact, most of their run ins had been with swamp fauna and insects. Slightly annoying, but fine altogether. Eventually, the two make their way to a small clearing in the swamp that holds several fallen logs. Upon further inspection, the several logs were nice and hollow with openings underneath, allowing them to be used as hiding places if need be.

Willow, Marie, Soren, and Will created a powerful team in terms of moving through the brush unhindered thanks to navigational abilities and Will's blades. Several times some of the brush almost hit the group, yet Soren was able to keep them away thanks to their psychic ability. Due to the amount of brush they were clearing however, they did not get too far from their starting position but are covered in thick trees and overpasses. As Will slices another branch away, Marie is able to see a bit of a splash to the left of the group. Something is in the water and sees them. Judging by the long body and unblinking eyes, it is an alligator.

Isroh and Natasha move directly through the deeper parts of the swamp, ignoring trees and thick foliage but were slowed greatly by the murky and muddy waters. Any time Isroh attempted to navigate with their scent abilities, the swamps overbearing stink would confuse the Wendigo, resulting in a few occasional pauses. Natasha was able to use her projection barrier ability to keep herself safe against any branches that swung her way by accident, although several did get through to scratch up her arm. Sure enough however, Natasha is able to realize the two had been going in circles for several minutes.

Porto is able to get a clear vantage in his bird form, and manages to spot several small groups of students struggling through the swamp. One or two students who attempted to go it alone have given up altogether, and are currently hiding. For the most part, it is obvious they are trying to navigate through the swamp with gusto.

Azura swims through the water quickly, having been given the permission from the Headmistress to play a small prank on a few students so long as it doesn't interfere with the taggers.

Geralt is completely soaked and so are his smokes. Crash landing was not a good idea.

Several student groups have been moving through the swamp as well, but one group has decided to hole up in a small grove of trees and bushes.

Time until the taggers begin (that the students are not aware that it has not begun yet)= 1 minute.

→ After a while, Natasha came to the conclusion that they were going around in circles. Not just in a figurative sense either- quickly, she noticed the pattern of their journey and realised they were stuck in a very literal loop. Isroh must have got confused about the trail he was following due to the overpowering sensory stimulus coming from their surroundings. She supposed that meant they'd have to think of a different strategy to find the flag now; clearly, their the success of their original plan ended here.

"Isroh?" Natasha said, loudly, to get his attention, "Don't take this the wrong way but I think we're lost. We've been going in circles... Literally," She wondered if they'd lost a lot of time; she'd completely lost her sense of how long they'd been here already, feeling they could've been wondering around the swamp for anywhere between ten minutes and sixty, "Did you lose it? The trail? Maybe we should regroup with the others if they haven't gone too far. Either that or we need to pick one direction and head that way. North, maybe?"

She was starting to wish that they'd never split off from the rest of the group; Isroh was great and all but he was following his nose, not his brain, and they blatantly weren't making progress anymore. It didn't help that she wasn't exactly a mindreader, so she had no idea what he could be thinking or if he had realised what was happening already and was just pretending to know where he was going.

Natasha added, a little quieter, "The teachers would step in if we got really, really lost or were actually in any danger, right? They wouldn't just leave us out here?"

Misaki Himegami
"Hm...I believe this would be good stay for now. There's plenty of hiding places but....All we have to do is get a flag. Sounds too easy but there's something more to this than a simple capture the flag. Thoughts, Oliver?"
Walter said, having come upon the clearing with Misaki and Oliver. Misaki immediately began scouring everywhere to ensure place to hide in case something were to happen. A place secure and out of the way so if Walter were to be given the ok to let loose, she wasn't in the fray. Once she found a place, pointed to it to Walter before getting into the hollowed log. The earth rumbled a bit before the the log was partially submerged under the ground, with a hole to allow air flow in. In all it looked it was a natural occurrence, but it was far from the that fact. Whenever Walter mentions things were being too easy with it being a simple capture the flag, Misaki went into survival mode and upon seeing their location knew it was going be very strategic to be out of sight but also on top of things.
"Best find a place to hide, I'll partially submerge the log before trying to hide myself. If worse comes to wear, I'll cover for you both."
But Misaki wasn't going to stay in the log all the time, the log was positioned to allow her to see things but not allow anyone to try to see in.

Isroh
Location: Who TF knows! (You're welcome, Natasha)

Isroh had his nose to the ground for the last ten minutes just trying to find some kind of a scent trail. Something? Anything? Hell the stink of the muddy bog flooded his senses with so much unless someone was profusely bleeding he likely wouldn't smell it. Although that didn't stop him from attempting. And thus... Here they were... Where were they again?

We've been going in circles... literally.

At that Isroh abruptly, and rather roughly, stops dead in his tracks head jolting up in confusion as he looks around at his surroundings. Well fuck me... The Wendigo internally groans, a rather defeated grunt escaping him as he realized they actually where in the exact same place they'd crossed the bank at. The groan carried out into a rather defeated, yet satisfying scream into the fucking heavens because fuck this shit! Isroh out!

Natasha's idea sounded right but if scent wasn't at all going to change things soo why waste energy in this form and risk losing control? Isroh lays down in the dirt again, signalling he wished for Natasha to get off him. Perhaps a less, scent reliant strategy would work a bit better.

Alexandre Porto

Alex flied across the swamp, surveying the battlefield. The kids that were hiding, were they giving up? "I don't think this is going to end well for them... God knows what Reese made for the chase." He sighed, watching a particular wendigo and force field generator walking in literal circles. The creature screamed into the heavens, startling Alex and throwing him off his path. He landed near the two from a bit far, observing Isroh's development.

Oliver WIlliams

Oliver looked at the sky. His power strengthened by a subtle amount, which meant that... "Almost thirty minutes. Our time is almost up." He followed Misaki and Walter towards the logs, all the while looking at their surroundings. "I know that it's not only this. If I'm right, the threat will start right about now. The headmistress's grace period is going to end right about now." He conjured up a ball of light, ready to defend himself from whatever the school is going to throw at them. He then heard Walter move the earth to make a safe spot, and frowned. "Hmmm, we can't risk staying in one place for too long... Besides, we don't know what's lurking in these waters... and we're in broad daylight! The knights might be aware of our presence right now..." He said, starting to mumble again. He retreated towards the logs, but all the while talking about how it was a bad idea.

"I do agree on that. Staying here would leave us very vulnerable to anyone that would be coming our way but we can stay ahead of them. Staying here for now lets us get our baring than we can see what we can do from there. If we need to use full force, Misaki is in your hands to defend and don't breath a word of what you see to anyone once this is done. Once she gives me full access to my earth powers, I'm a very different person than what I am now. I...Must I tell him about this?"
Walter said before turning to Misaki's direction.
"Yes, if we have someone we can trust with your secret the better. Besides, I think the teachers know there's something more to you than what we say. Just don't go overboard if I give you full access. That includes trying to wrap everyone in local flora and squeeze them to death...."
"I suppose your right....Ah, quite sorry. Mistress and I can communicate telepathically, even if she has been rendered mute. As I was saying, I just very different once I have access to my full strength. If you can't tell, I'm under a seal and illusion at the same time, and as the seal releases my strength, the illusion goes away as well."

Good for Marie, the group gave up on what Marie could do and left it with Willows description of "a dark cloud" over Marie's head. She kept a distance away from Will and his swinging blades, the girl keeping her eyes on their surroundings. They didn't see or hear the other groups, which was good, but it seemed like they weren't going as quick as they should be. If they just took the path that was actually made, they could be going through things quicker. Her brown eyes were spotting a lot of nature, and by now they were shin deep In some water. So far, nothing seemed that could harm them, a few birds flying through the tree-tops, a few fish swimming around their feet. She was slightly cursing herself for not studying up on Flordia swamps amd the wildlife there. She wished she'd known the dangers in the swamps. The only dangers she knew of were piranhas, and alligators. Thinking of piranhas made the girl look down at her feet in fear as she felt a fish brush against her leg. She held back a squeal and to jump away from it, her she's resting on a close by alligator.

Her heart started beating quicker as she watched the Alligator swim slowly towards Will, the male not noticing a thing. She looked around quickly for anything to throw at the guy. She wasn't going anywhere near those swinging blades. She quickly found a rock in the murky water and chunked it at Will's back, hoping that the guy would turn around and spot the sneaking alligator in the process. She chunked another rock, this time in the direction of the alligator, the alligator swishing the water around to avoid being hit by the rock, also continuing towards Will. She was too scared to yell out the name, not wanting to attract any other dangerous animal. If anything, there is never just one alligator. There could be another one close by and she didn't want to call it over.

→ When Isroh abruptly let out a shriek, Natasha clapped her hands over her ears in distress. Her hands only dropped back to her sides when Isroh dipped down onto the dirt so that she could slide of him. Natasha hated loud noises, especially when unforewarned, and she had to pause for a minute to calm down before assessing their situation. Their surroundings didn't have anything of note or any indicator of which direction they should be heading in to find the flag. Any possible trail, scent or otherwise, had likely been trampled and would be impossible to find. Natasha circled the small clearing they had come to a stop in for a minute, brushing her hand over the leaves of the trees, as she thought. She stopped in the middle and considered.

"It's the blind leading the blind now, I guess," Natasha said, finally, "It's probably going to be too hard to find our way back to the others and it would be counterproductive anyway. We might as well keep moving to avoid the taggers and hope we find something that points us in the right direction," She was starting to find her feet now that her initial fear was fading and she circled the clearing once more before pointing forwards, "We should head that way. If we walk that way, the sun will be roughly behind us which means we'll be heading North-ish. I think that's our best bet for now. We should think about getting somewhere higher up too, if possible."

Natasha continued, on a roll, "Height would give us an advantage over the taggers and a better to chance to assess our greater surroundings. The key to success here is probably sticking it out as long as possible. Honestly, I'm not even sure this exam is about capturing the flag, that's just the incentive to keep going. It's a survival test, right?" She paused, turning to Isroh, "Gosh, I'm sorry, it's hard to stop once I get going. Speaking of going, we should keep moving, the taggers must be close by now. Let's boldly go."

→ "What the fuck?" Soren demanded, ignorant to the imminent danger lurking nearby. While Marie had intended to throw the rock at Will, her throw had fallen short and Soren had stepped in the way. It resulted in the rock hitting them hard in the back of their neck and turning around to swear loudly at Marie. It took them approximately thirty seconds of looking at her, following her gaze, and seeing the other rock land in the water in their peripheral vision, for them to realise what was happening. An alligator. And it was sneaking up on them.

"Holy shit," Soren hissed, their volume dropping abruptly as they whipped around quickly, lurching forward and grabbing Will by the arm to yank him out of the way, blades be damned; they really weren't the kind of person that thought before acting and paid no attention to any injuries they received as a result, "Jesus Christ."

Alligators tended to leave humans alone, unless they're disturbed or guarding a nest, Soren knew that. Unfortunately, they seemed to have succeeded in pissing this one off. The noise and sudden movement triggered the alligator to move quickly and suddenly. It was seconds away from taking a big bite out of at least one of them when Soren snapped into action and used their ability to pin the alligator where it was. It flailed and protested but didn't move any further forwards. Soren backed up a few steps, struggling to keep the hold the stupid alligator in place- living things were so much more difficult to manipulate than objects.

"Alright," Soren was breathing raggedly, panicked and already realising they couldn't keep the alligator where it was for more than a few precious minutes, "We need to get the fuck out of here. Like now."

It was difficult to have any kind of authority when they were still gripping Will's arm tightly, having forgotten to let go, and were no doubt bleeding- they hadn't checked yet, too focused on the alligator- from thrusting their arm into the circle of spinning blades that Will had explicitly stated not to go anywhere near. Soren's eyes narrowed in concentration as the alligator struggled hard against their psychic hold over it.

"Come on, somebody think of something!" They snapped, a little frantically.

Alexandre Porto
Alex was impressed with Natasha's way of thinking. She was a methodical person, a good duo with Isroh at this time. The taggers had already been "released", so to speak, which made the exchange the more interesting. He wished good luck to them in his head and flied away to check the other students.
He flied around once more, checking the other students, until he saw trouble. An alligator had pinned down Soren's group, and he saw Soren straining himself to stop the alligator in place. As much as he couldn't, he had to intervene, or else the students would sustain major damage, both because of their powers(Soren with his psychic powers and Marie with the nature of her ability, they could either hurt themselves or others in the process), and because of the animal. He swooped down on the ground, changing himself back in his human form and landing between the students and the reptile. He was wearing a more sturdy set of clothes, his default training leather armor for swordplay. He clutched a claymore with one hand, pointing towards the alligator. "Soren, drop the hold. All of you, get out of here."

Oliver Williams
Oliver was impressed with Misaki and Walter's telepathy communication. Such ability would be vital against the Sun, since He could hear everything under its rays. He saw Misaki giving lots of different facial expressions towards Walter and nodded. "That's impressive! Oh, I wish I could talk to people in their minds, it would be so useful!" He looked around once more, wary of anyone who would have overheard him. "You're under a seal... So you're not human? What ar-" He stopped mid sentence, realizing something. Walter called him as... Oliver? "Wait, how do you know my true name? I was sure to hide my identity. If you know it, then... Then the knights followed me to Havenworth... Aw, this is bad news..." He rubbed his hands nervously, looking up. He couldn't deal with that now, there was more pressing matters to deal with, mainly, not getting detention. "Nevermind that, let's deal with that after the test. I'm good with keeping a secret. Anything you might show me will be safe, by the oath of the Sacred Midnight." He extended a hand, drawing a black moon with his power on the back of his hand.

Will

Just barely better than being legally blind, Will hadn't noticed the creeping danger. Hell since he was the one in front, most likely he was the one in the most danger. He perks at Marie's first warning, blades ringing, spinning far more rapidly poised for a deadly counter attack. However... Sorren had grabbed him to pull him back. Good for Will as he didn't at all see the deadly creature before they'd grabbed him... but bad for Sorren. Will's blades had been moving much faster than their brisk, yet sill moderate cutting pace... And they were heavy, at least 1.5 kilograms a piece. Throwing out his arm like that was like reaching out into the blade of a guillotine with no regard for the limb. But what wound up getting cut wasn't the limb.

The cutting edges were thrown off their precise mark and moved back behind the pair, just the edge of the razor biting into the skin behind Sorren's shoulder, slicing cleanly, yet shallowly from shoulder to shoulder. Cutting deep past the skin and into a good bit of the muscle laying beneath. Wouldn't kill... but it'd bleed for a while. Will pauses in horror, the blades freezing in air as he realized he'd just accidentally cut his friend. Shit! He felt pure guilt for a moment before realizing the severity of the danger they were in.

Sorren's grip was fading, not much else anyone else could do. Seems it be up to him to kill this thing. Although with Sorren being so close and having pulled him closer to the rest of the group, that immidiately limited what he could do offensive wise, he couldn't use the space to his advantages to build up speeding with the rotating metal without possibly digging one into someone else... or slashing off a limb. He was running low on non-dangerous options and was starting to have to get risky with it.

Luckily that thought was stripped away as a very familiar, very nice Brazilian man swooped to their rescue. Thankyou. Will breathed as he tugged Sorren back a bit, hoping they would come... hoping they could come. He was unsure of just how deep that gash went. If it was muscle deep, they may have some trouble.

Willow had officially decided that she did not like Florida. It was hot and muggy, the humidity was insane, making her feel like she was breathing pure water, and the mosquitoes! The fucking mosquitoes! On top of everything she was in a sweater and had no shoes. She was wading in a swamp in her socks! Well, one sock. She somehow managed to lose the other one. So yeah, in short: Willow was dying.

Now she was trying to do her role as the lookout, she really was, just not the way most people would. Where others would be listening for signs of movement or signs of other people, Willow was watching and feeling for auras. She had already noticed some, most of them in the trees (probably sprites), another student (who seemed to be hiding), and a dark presence, which thankfully they weren't moving towards since she was fairly sure it was a Swamp Woman. She didn't give these presences too much mind, except the latter one obviously, as they weren't what she was looking out for. It was the teachers that were her concern. She was fairly certain that they were going to be the "taggers". A game where only one person had to touch the goal and everyone would win? Too good to be true. This was clearly a game they were not supposed to win so it only made sense that their opponents would be overpowered, though that would work out well in the end as Willow would notice their massive auras before the teachers noticed them. So when she felt Prof. Porto above them she instantly gave him all her attention, enough so that she didn't notice the alligator until Soren was already mind wrestling it.

The splashing startled Willow and she jumped back with a curse. The hell was that thing? A crocodile? An alligator? She could never remember the difference, though it became significantly less important when she noticed the blood begining to soak Soren's shirt. They needed attention and fast, but they were also the one holding the creature at bay and it looked like they wouldn't be able to do it much longer.

Thankfully the teacher came down and pointed a sword at the beast so Willow grabbed Soren and dragged them to the nearest patch of dry land. "Sit daahn 'n tek you're shot off." She ordered them, not giving them a choice on the first part as she forced them to the ground. Once they were seated she turned to get into her sidebag only to remember that she hadn't been wearing it when she was teleported. No bag meant no bandages, no thread and needle, and no antibiotics. There wasn't much that could be done about the last two, but the bandages... Well, modesty and her sense of security were second to someone bleeding out.

"Ah bugga it orl." She grumbled, pealing off her sweater and tossing it at Will. "Cut t' sleeves up into a few strips 'n t' body into a single long strip, abaht two inches wide." She told him, then asked "Do enny o' you 'av wattah?"

Having donated her sweater to the greater good, Willow was now topless, save a light-blue strapless bra and some bandages; a wrap around her left shoulder and large patch on her back. Also visible now we're her arms, or more specifically the scars on her arms; strait, horizontal lines, going up the inside of her forearms in a long row, each in varying stages of healing.

Now normally she would have been horrified to ever be seen in such a state, but there were other more important concerns. Besides, she wasn't the only one that was going to be shirtless as, if Soren didn't already have their shirt off at this point, Willow would tear it off them herself before using the cloth to soak up the blood, calling Marie over to help put pressure on the wound.

The next thing she needed to do was make sure they didn't go into shock. "Alreight, Soren. Ah need you ta start talkin'. Dinnea matta abaht wha'. You could talk abaht your dog, tell a story, compleeam abaht dis bloody game; jus' keep talkin'. Can you do 'a'?"

→ Before their hold could slip completely, Porto arrived and Soren gratefully let their remaining control over the alligator lapse. They didn't have time to thank him or demand to know how long he had been watching them or say anything at all, actually, because Willow already had a tight grip on them and was pulling them away. Soren really didn't have much choice in the matter as they found themselves being forced to sit down and instructed to remove their shirt. Temporarily, they were confused about what had happened as the rush of adrenaline had numbed any feelings of pain. It was only when they fumbled to remove their shirt and their hand came away sticky, warm, and wet with blood that they realised Will's blades had got them in the back.

"How bad is it?" Soren asked, unfazed by the sight of their own blood, as they peeled their shirt off reluctantly and handed it to Willow. Although, they felt incredibly vulnerable sitting in a sports bra with a group of people that were practically strangers, there wouldn't be any point trying to stop the bleeding with their shirt on. Soren knew that. They folded their arms across their chest and glowered, defensively. Similarly to Willow, their skin was already scarred and bruised but not from inflicting pain on themselves; the results of previous fights they'd gotten into. The injuries they were used to; having somebody else taking care of them had become somewhat alien since their mom had gotten sick several years ago.

"People don't usually do this stuff for me," Soren blurted out, upon being instructed that they had to talk, "You know, I take care of myself. And you guys... You don't even like me that much. We're not even friends or anything," They paused, "I'm saying thank you or whatever. I swear once the bleeding stops, I'll be fine to move again. I really don't feel that bad," That was a more of a half-truth, as they were sweaty and slightly paler than usual, but they were confident they would be able to move, "This is a race, remember? I don't want to lose. We're gonna get caught if we stay here."

GM
(please check out the order of groups, it’s going to be matching my previous post. Still super sick so short version)

Throughout the swamp, about 15 orbs of swirling chaos appeared at once with a large popping sound. From them, several ordinary looking people wearing bright neon vests clammored forth, adjusting their eyes to the light. They were equipped with standard hiking gear as well as radios.

They are all scattered across the area, unfortunately 3 appeared around the clearing for group . They stretched lavishishly, before meeting together near the fallen logs.

One appeared about several feet from group 2, yet his back was turned.

Group 3 couldn’t see anyone nearby, but could still hear the resounding popping nearby.

Misaki Himegami
Walter nodded before grabbing Aizan and putting him in a log, submerging it, before walking away to the north. He wanted to get an advantage on these people in case they were to cause anyone harm. If they caused Misaki any harm...Well, hell would welcome some new residents today. But he wouldn't go that far if he was ordered not to, though he would have to be careful as well. These people were unknowns and he didn't know how capable they were to a person like him or any of the other students.
"Walter, three are near our location. Blend in with the local earth and see what they are after. If they intend to cause us harm, knock them out and bury them up to their necks."
"As you command, Mistress."

Walter said to Misaki as she gave him his orders. He blended with the local trees, making it look he wasn't there, looking at the group headed to the fallen logs. He hoped Misaki would keep Aizan quiet long enough to figure out if they were danger or not.
