Fantasy Shake Your Chains [Open World RPG] OOC

I don't think it matters, as long as whatever race it is is not so exotic that Rudolf wouldn't find the mother attractive (like an amorphous blob woman or something) and as long as they're not so genetically different that it's unrealistic to expect offspring.

oh my god stopp haha i was thinking of like a demon/part demon or something so princy could have a lil' demon blood so i could mess w potential abilities

Hey, question regarding the three character rule mentioned in the interest check's OP. Are we allowed to return to the sign-up page and post new characters that we want to use, or do we have to post them all from the get-go?

Sounds good to me. A bastard who had otherworldly powers due to demon blood would certainly stand out from all the other bastards. Rudolf might take interest in him from an early age for that reason if for no others.

I have a question about kor magic. The lore makes clear how it is accessed and what it is, but I'm not as clear on what its effects are. Is it purely offensive magic? Like shoot fireballs and lightning bolts and what not? Or does it have other uses like healing, defensive barriers, shapeshifting, illusions, teleportation, etc.?

I was curious about that too. I just sorta went with it since A Awakening AKIRA seems pretty open to anything. Let me know if I went too far though, and I'll change things. C:

i'm such a bad co'gm idk anything

i would imagine that it would be a mixture, and just up to how the individual chooses/knows how to use it. since it's rage and serenity, i get offense and defense vibes.

Ah, alright. Just trying to get a feel for what a high level practitioner of this magic would be capable of doing.

As Dover Dover said, I'm super open to anything - if you have a really cool idea for soe intricate building for Kor, feel free to throw it out here and I'll likely add it to the official Lore.

If you want some guidance, I was kind of using Kor as the emodiment of the winter philosophy, honed into magic - the balance of rage and serenity, which I imagine it must take to have such a military focused dedication. It would thus likely be a mix of defensive and offensive magic, as Winter is very good at isolating and repelling the unwanted (especially during a seige, psychic or physical) but they're also a brutal military force - focus would likely be on defense, but that's certainly not to say that they can't be physical.

If you've ever seen Avatar: The Last Airbender, I imagine them closest to a mix of Water bending and Earth bending - the moulding and sculpting and defense of the Northern tribe and Earth bending in general, but also the brute strength of Earth.

The biggest hurdle to all Kor users would be a) getting in tune with whichever emotion they find hardest to contro or attune to, be it rage or serenity and then b) balancing them. Using Kor (I imagine) magnifies these emotions, forcing them to experience very intense version of them during use, and periods of emotional fatigue and numbness after.

If this sounds acceptable, feel free to use it, if not, I look forward to what you come up with!

Sorry to bother you folks, just a quick question whilst I'm harassing you all about plot etc.

For IC roleplaying, the primary plan was to have a separate threads for Summer / Winter / Midlands + Dragon's Rock / Spring Isle. I'm currently tempted to combine them a bit to have Summer, Spring, DR /// Midlands + Winter. Or we could just have one big thread.

For having them separated, it would help people feel less left behind, and be easier to sort through what is potentially relevant to your character or not (note, tagging will be a must with this). But at the same time, it might be too fiddly for some people.

So yes. This is a question: what would you guys prefer? I hope it is not too irksome.

A Awakening AKIRA I'd still be okay with separate threads for each location. The idea is for people to RP in whichever location their character is currently in, right?
