(Mystery solved! Alternate universe. Explanation: Kirei killed Tokiomi way earlier and as such, Gilgamesh didn't even have time to get summoned. Who influenced Kirei to do so? Why is Rin younger than she should (34-35) be? Was it even Kirei who did the stabbing? Stay tuned!)

You close your eyes. "Tch," you release a sound of inflammation. "How dare you..." you say. Your eyes open to view your Master's perplexed face. Your face is shaking in fury. "How dare you?! My name should be clear from my appearance alone! This is infuriating!" you scream. Your summoner takes a step back, just to be safe.

You fold your arms and look to the side, once again, closing your eyes for a few seconds. You quietly hyperventilate for a few seconds...

...

You look at her again. "I am Gilgamesh, also known as the King of Heroes. Your lack of knowledge offends me! How come you summon me, yet remain unaware of my true name?" You smell bullshit and point it out.

"Oh... you see, my father was also a Master. In the Fourth Holy Grail War. He died shortly before it started, killed by his supposed apprentice -- a fact I discovered only ten years after that. I was looking through his workshop once and found a box with the skin of a snake. It took me a while to figure out it was a catalyst, but I decided to use it for the Holy Grail War," the woman explained.

"What is your name, age, and current plan for this Holy Grail War? Anything else I should know?" The mood changed suddenly. From simple interaction, you suddenly turned tactical. Even the woman was surprised.

She looked up at you proudly, but not in the same cold pride that you had. She was happy of her pride. "Rin. Rin Tohsaka. I'm 27 years old."

~

Soon enough, you and your Master begin to discuss things you should know. She tells you a little about the modern era, basic things that you should be aware of -- like modern society, or life in general. You are disappointed to know how rare kingship is in the modern era, with many rulers replaced by 'presidents.' You, on another hand share some details of your life. You straighten out your story and abilities. So does she.

You talk like this for two to three minutes. Afterward, you suggest going upstairs to some more pleasant area.

Rin leads you to a living room in her estate. The two of you sit down and discuss further for another seven to eight minutes.

~

Finally, the two of you end your discussion. Soon enough, Rin leaves the room and heads back into her workshop.

You are now free to do what you want for the rest of the day. That's what she said.
  1. Come to think of it you haven't cleaned up your treasury in over 5000 years. Let's go in and organize things. It is painful for a King to perform menial work, but you can trust only yourself to handle your belongings.
  2. You have returned to the world. You are the first-born master of this planet, so go to the nearest market and declare your return, then begin re-organizing and adjusting your kingdom. You dread to think what the vulgar ruffians did with your luscious garden in the lack of your presence. [Tohsaka won't like this.]
  3. Search for the nearest lion. The King will need a companion if he is to last even ten minutes in this offensive parody of a palace! There's not even gold or gems. What kind of living space is this supposed to be? [Tohsaka might not like this.]
  4. Write-in.

The only lion we need is Artoria

But all that exists is ours, meaning even the lower quality lions should be our possession.

What I'm saying is we need to go reclaim all the lions in the world.

You make your way to the back of the mansion and walk out through the door. Your eyes are met by a green garden full of rose bushes and flowers. They all form a natural rainbow on the ground. A pleasant sight, you have to admit. You were never that much of a nature fan, not as much as Enkidu at least, but you admit the place had its charm.

You walk to the very middle of the grassy space and hold your arm out. Golden particles of energy collect through the air and culminate near your forearm, creating a peculiar item the size and weight of which are both roughly that of a hunting knife.

Babilu_zps541ugsai.png

The golden key manifests in your grasp. You hold it tightly and turn it.

Before you, a phantasmal gate opens. A portal to somewhere else. Like a golden ripple in space. You confidently walk through...

~

Oh.

...

Oh. Boy.

As your armored feet settle on the tiles of your endless vault, you look up and see the vast treasures you've amassed in your life. The size of the room is unimaginable. You literally can't see the ceiling nor any horizon. You can go in any direction you want, but it seems that it'd take years of travel to get to a wall. In the distance, you see mountains of treasures. Literal mountains. So tall that they disappear into the ceiling and eventually become invisible to your eyes as they are covered by shadows. There is an omnipresent light that illuminates the ground level to ensure everything can be seen.

The dimensions of the room spread as far as the eye can see, mountains of gold, gems, and other treasures spread out seemingly at random. It seems that not much has changed in your absence, beyond a few knocked-over displays of weapons and a few of the treasure piles collapsing and spreading their contents all over the floor. You always meant to organize all this someday when you were alive, since Enkidu and yourself were the only ones you trusted inside your vault. But unfortunately you never really got around to sorting and indexing your vast collection.

In front of you, you see several useless things: the herb of immortality, or panacea, a cure to all diseases. You placed them there in case of a sudden medical need for either of them. Your favorite weapons and armor are quickly seen too, set up right by the entrance, ready to go in case of a sudden fight. So is the mannequin that bears the honor of wearing your golden armor when you don't need it. The massive form of Vimana is easily located as well, on a golden pad roughly forty meters to the left from your current position -- alongside several other, mystical vehicles. Gathering and coiling the long spiked chain you named after your friend across your shoulders, you set off into the vault.
  1. Search the stacks at random for something interesting.
  2. Start making a serious organizing attempt no matter how hopeless it is.
Do this for...
  1. Less than 10 minutes.
  2. 30 minutes.
  3. 1 hour.
  4. 2 hours.
  5. 4 hours.
  6. 6 hours.
  7. 12 hours.
  8. Until dusk. (20 hours.)
Dice Mechanics:
Searching and organizing will make you face the following rolls:
Roll 1d100+Golden Rule+Collector-Mess for item value and quantity. Then roll 1d5 for item type.
10 minutes = 1 roll. Each roll means a single item.
Overall roll would be: 1d100+10+50-30.
Outcomes:
1-39 - Nothing of real value. A stack of golden ingots, or precious gems.
40-69 - A minor novelty. A magical item of minor power; an enchanted sword or Mystic Code, or particularly weak Conceptual Weapon.
70-84 - Something slightly useful. A powerful and interesting Mystic Code, or intermediate Conceptual Weapon. Perhaps a weak Noble Phantasm.
85-95 - Something actually useful. An unmatched and fascinating Mystic Code, potent Conceptual Weapon, strong Noble Phantasm, and other similar items.
96-100 - Something magnificent. An incredibly strong Conceptual Weapon, a pinnacle Noble Phantasm and other such trivialties.
Items:
1 - Books
2 - Armors
3 - Weapons
4 - Jewelry
5 - Other
Mathematical Note: Each 10 minutes means one roll. Thus, 30 minutes means three items. 1 hour means 6. 2 hours means 12. 4 means 24. 6 means 48. 12 means 96. 20 means 120. Remember that there's a lot of other things you can still do today. Spending a whole day just to find and memorize you have 120 magical items is a bit trivial.
GM Note: I will automatically proritize finding a lion, since that's what you guys want.

1. I honestly don't feel like actually sorting this stuff. Now, where did that menagerie land?

8. There's quite of few interesting things we've forgotten about in here. It'd be nice to find some of that stuff. Hopefully this isn't as distracting as that Civilization 5 game the throne told us about.

Two. The Vault should reflect the Master's perfection

Three, but include a quick mental notice to our master about our task. They should know to not bother us unless there is an issue with our true waifu. They should be treated properly. Also grab Durandel, as it is a decent weapon for us to use. Degrading, but it is weapon among peak worthiness.

Your mind instantly shifts. You remember how much great stuff is in here among the less worthy stuff. You decide to look around for items of interest. But before that, you make a quick mental note to yourself. You need to inform your Master Summoner first. Your mind reaches out through the contract you formed. Your willpower focuses in a simple train of thought and sends it to your Master telepathically.

START!

You look to your right and notice a minor pile of treasures. It looks promising.

Roll: 48 - 3
It wasn't nearly as promising as it looked. It was a small bunch of decorative swords covered in gold and gems, a third of which had minor magical effects, like glowing, or hurting the opponent with fire and ice. Useless! And so, you wasted ten minutes of your precious time.

Roll: 64 - 3
The pile next to it was also a complete waste of time. Several spears, bows, and arrows. All were made out of pure, magical metal with roughly the toughness of iron, yet the weight of wood, while it looked more like gold. Honestly, why did you bother to collect these?

Roll: 82 - 4
Finally, something more eye-catching. You stumbled upon a small pile of ancient jewels, but underneath the hefty stack, you found a beautiful necklace of 4 rubies, 4 sapphires, and 4 garnets all connected with the finest, white gold carved with protective cuneiforms. Each individual gem carried a spell of protection against a particular threat; rubies against fire, sapphires against water and ice, and garnets against lightning. Although by itself rather useless, especially to you, it looked very nice.

  1. Give it to the Tohsaka girl as a gift.
  2. Toss it aside. It's pretty, but ultimately useless. Besides, what are the odds someone would shoot fire, water, ice, or lightning at her?
Roll: 53 - 2
You stumble upon a small row of mannequins that wear different armors. Five of them in total. Each one was equally uninteresting, but one of them had a particular enchantment that protected the user from... forest goblins, apparently? You're amazed at how useless some of the things in your own treasury are. So much so, that you don't throw it out, because of the sheer value of laughter it gave you.

Roll: 124! - 1
Finally, you found something truly worthy of you. Lying on the ground in loneliness, you found an ancient scroll full of arcane lore. Although of little value to you, it could give a modern magus the equivalent of a Caster Servant's Item Construction skill at rank B or above. In particular, the scroll puts emphasis on brewing and alchemy. If the Tohsaka girl was able to translate it, she could create a cure for cancer, or a cube of yellow jelly of nutritious value that is so immense it could feed a man for a few days. Unfortunately, you haven't the slightest intention of standing next to Tohsaka as she scribes this on her note for another five hours. You toss it away, like the trash you just decided it is.

Roll: 74 - 2
You stumble upon a random helmet. Wearing it forms a shield around your face and automatically supplies you with oxygen. It seems its meant for diving. Unfortunately, you aren't diving right now, so you toss it to the side.

Roll: 118! - 1
Once again, you stumble upon some magician's notes. Like with the scroll of arcane lore, you do not intend to give it to Tohsaka since she'd ask you to translate it and you do not want to bother with doing such menial work worthy of a scribe. This particular 5-page pseudo-book contains construction plans for the ancient Babylonian equivalent of a submarine. Except its very golden. In-fact, you just realize giving this one to Tohsaka wouldn't even yield any results on her part. The materials are impossible to obtain in this era.

Roll: 112! - 1 (damn, you guys just have some kind of luck for finding ancient scrolls.)
Next to it, you find a similar construction plan, this time for an airplane instead of a submarine. It appears to run on pure magical energy, and although a promising design, you haven't the skills to construct it. Actually, knowing yourself, you're pretty sure that the airplane described here is somewhere in the vault. Emphasis on somewhere.

Roll: 50 - 5
Ah, finally, something out of bounds. You find a small 120x120 meters space contained by 5-meter tall golden walls. You approach from one side and walk up the stairs to find yourself on said walls. Down below you, you see lions. This particular mini-zoo seems to be maintained by a reactor connected to it. The reactor produces magical energy that is then made into food for these animals. You dread to think how many generations of them managed to survive in this small space while you were gone. And then you remember the cage has special pheromones that keep the animals relatively happy, sane, and always trained. All of them have a peaceful disposition toward you. You jump down and scoop up a cub in your arms, deciding that this animal will thereafter be your companion.

Name it.

  1. Write-in.
Is it a boy, or a girl?
  1. Boy.
  2. Girl.
  3. Both??? "What did you do to my lions, Enkidu!?"
Roll: 108 - 2
Interesting. You and your newfound companion find a prototype for your own Golden Armor. It looks basically identical, but its magical protection is a bit weaker. Now, you remember. The court magicians needed a few tries before they correctly crafted a good match for your body. Since they just could, they improved the magical resistance with each generation of the golden armor. Regardless, it is useless to you right now and no matter what you'd do to her, it will never fit on Tohsaka. Besides, its made from gold! She doesn't have the strength to carry it.

Roll: 97 - 5
Amazing. You find an ancient golem. It is an exact statue of your grandfather; Nimrod. Or, was he your great grandfather? You don't exactly recall. Regardless, it is a statue of a man older than you that somewhere before you in the family tree. Nimrod was a sorcerer-king. He practiced magic and this golem is of his making. It is made out of metal and even carries a replica of Nimrod's favorite sword. It stands roughly thirty centimeters taller than you, and the power exuding from it seems to indicate that it has physical abilities comparable to yours. A fine craft. Your grandfather was talented. In addition to the normal abilities that Nimrod gave it, it can also breathe fire, because Grandpa was just like that sometimes. You remember that he died when he fell off of an even larger golem called the Tower of Babel, or something like that. He died by the point where he was at 99.9% of finishing its construction. Only the top of its head remained slightly unarmored. Of course, to honor him, your father; Lugalbanda finished the craft. It now rests somewhere in the vault. If you could only find it...

Ah, back to the golem before you. "
Arise," you order. The golem stands up in a swift movement. "I am Gilgamesh, will you obey me?"
"Yes," it even has the voice of your grandfather.
Impressed, you reply. "
Remain in the vault and organize my treasures. I want the swords with the swords, the armors with the armors, and so on. I want you to arrange them by magical power."
"Understood." The golem started picking up emeralds and sorting through things. Even if it took hundreds of years, at least now your vault is in good hands.

Roll: 68 - 3
Back to boring stuff. You pick up a mystical javelin with the ability to cause explosions comparable to an E- rank Noble Phantasm when thrown. Not really anything interesting. You toss it back behind you. Boom! an explosion goes off, collapsing a small hill of emeralds.

Roll: 113 - 2
You stumble upon a Noble Phantasm. An armor with the concept of "destroying damage." In other words, when a sword struck it, no matter what sword it was, the sword would crack, or perhaps even bend or break into two. This applied to all Noble Phantasms below rank A+ which is the armor's own rank. Despite that, it was useless to you, as you already had an armor you were comfortable with.

Roll: 56 - 2
You find an ornate crossbow that creates new bolts from prana after being fired. Boring.

Roll: 31 - 1
You find a tablet of cuneiforms about biology. More specifically, it looks into the ecosystem of the "local" forest and its mystical properties. Why at all you thought to take it remains a mystery to you. You throw it onto the ground, breaking it, since its beyond worthless.

Roll: 125 - 5
Oh, interesting! A shiny compass-like device. When you state the name of a location, direction, or anything at all, it points toward said thing. It can be used on anything as precise as "Rin Tohsaka," to "nearest Servant," or as loose as "nearest body of water with tadpools in it," or "an item with more than 12 units of magical energy in it." It looks promising. The range of the compass seems limitless.

  1. Take it.
  2. Don't take it. It's cheap and so is using it.
Roll: 98 - 3
A sword Noble Phantasm. It is semi-sentient and can fight on its own, as if wielded by the hands of an invisible ghost. It is an interesting weapon that you ache to check out, but for now, you have no reason to do anything with it. You leave it where it is.

Roll: 73 - 5
Several unicorn embryos in suspended animation. You are kind of disgusted by them, but you can understand that they are worth something and belong to your vast treasury.

Roll: 113 - 1
You find a book Noble Phantasm. When opened it draws knowledge from the local spirits to provide a summarised history and general present status of the current location, alongside with a 100x100 meter map of it.

  1. Take it.
  2. Don't take it. It's cheap and so is using it.
Roll: 67 - 5
You find a small door. When mounted on an appropriately-sized door frame, it becomes a portal to the nearest equivalent of a toilet. Why you have this remains a mystery.

Roll: 83 - 4
You find a magical bracelet that creates a protective field around the user. When worn, it grants the equivalent of the Protection from Arrows spell at rank C.

  1. Take it.
  2. Leave it.
  3. Give it to Tohsaka. Women deserve jewelry like this.
Roll: 96 - 5
A perfect sphere that fits in your hand. It is embedded with diamonds and etched with arcane formulae. The elaborate hieroglyphs radiate with magical power. It appears that this orb is an extremely potent Mystic Code - it holds mana inside of it in unspoken quantities.

  1. Keep it for yourself in case Tohsaka dies. It will let you manifest for as long as you want.
  2. Give it to Tohsaka.
Roll: 124 - 1
This tome seems like a boring, dog-eared agricultural text, but it can be used to grow any plant - including magical or sentient ones. Unfortunately, you aren't Enkidu, and you surely aren't a gardener, so you lay it back to the ground where it belongs... get it?

You have some time left, but you eventually grow bored. You finish your search an hour and twenty minutes earlier than you were supposed to; after four hours and thirty minutes of hefty adventuring through your treasuries.

You've spent four hours and thirty minutes in the vault. You walk out and close the portal behind you and your lion cub companion. It's currently about 9AM. What do you do now?
  1. Go out and find some modern clothes to wear.
  2. You feel bored. Go and pester Tohsaka. Maybe scare her with the lion cub?
  3. Taste the wines in the Tohsaka manor. She better have some high-quality drinks, or you'll be mad.
  4. Write-in.

Part 1

The Grand Lord Gilgamesh goes to the darling Tohsaka, and offers her the necklace. He offers it with caution, asking her to take good care of our treasure.

Part 2

Gilgamesh finds this lion cub. They are named 'Shamhat' for some odd reason. We believe it is due to a relationship with the woman in our Epic tale of Glory. They are obviously female.

Part 3.

We need no Divine Compass. It was most likely made by a God. We don't need a damnable Divine Item.

Part 4.

Knowledge is Power, and even we know such. The ability to understand our Kingdom far more is always useful. We shall strap this item to our hip.

Part 5.

We shall take it, and figure out if we should give it to our Master.

Part 6.

Write In.

We shall go to our Master, and ask them what they have in the ability of Magecraft, and their basic talents. We wish to understand how the Modern Magus works.

If they prove worthy, we shall give them the Gem.

However, they must prove themselves worthy of ourselves first.

Part 7.

We go to Tohsaka, with the lion cub with us. We pester them not, but truly we merely ask them to sit down, and inquire what they believe they are capable of, and what support they may give us as the most Glorious King of All.

  4. Write-in.
Necklace: We should give it to the Tohsaka girl. She is but a mere mortal, and you never know when some foolish mage will try to use one of the elements to attack our future harem member.

Lion Name: We shall name it Nimrod, after our grandfather. Thanks to him, we may finally get this place in some sort of order.

Lion Gender: It's seems Enkidu has done something to our lions, as Nimrod appears to be a hermaphrodite. Though, thinking on it, it would allow those lions to create a tad few more generations due to the possible combinations. We wouldn't want any disgusting mutant lions in our treasury, after all.

Compass: Take it. It will allow us to slay these fools who would dare challenge us all the more quickly, and reclaim our treasure. Of course, the Tohsaka girl will hold on to it, as it is far to lowly an item for one such as ourselves to use.

Book: Take it. We know little about our surroundings, and we would not want to somehow be surprised, like when we faced against the mad dog. As with the compass, the book is far to menial and lowly an item for us to use, so Tohsaka may hold onto it for us. FOR NOW.

Bracelet: It will look rather pretty against her flesh when she is lying on our bed among the other members of our harem.

Sphere: Keep it for ourselves. We are loathe to even consider the thought that our future concubine could die before enjoying all the pleasures in which we could give them, but you never know.

Outside: Show the Tohsaka girl our glorious companion Nimrod. She will surely make an entertaining face at the sight of the rather cute hermaphrodite lion.

I agree with him.

(Welp, I guess we'll go with Dalamus' version since Gabriel votes on it.)

You decide to name the gender-ambiguous lion cub after your grandfather; Nimrod. You find it an appropriate way to honor him. Ah, what memories. Before he died, Grandfather would always lecture you on what it means to be a King and ruler of men. You never truly paid attention though, given how young you were. Back then you just wanted to roam the countryside and slay horrible monsters in tests of arms, much like how your Grandfather did in his free time. Thinking back, you truly wished you had paid more attention to the old man's words since it would have probably helped you achieve your epiphany on the nature of life much earlier and would have no doubt helped you during your early reign before you met Enkidu.

You've prepared several items to be deployed; a protective necklace, a compass, a book, and a protective bracelet. On another hand, you took with you the magical sphere of mana. It is roughly the size of a large marble and fits in your hand, therefore you decided to take a string of gold and put it around Nimrod's neck. That way, you don't have to carry it, yet it remains close by when you need it. You feel like a genius.

You walk back inside the mansion...

You search for Tohsaka...

...

Not in the living room...
Not in the entry corridor...
Not upstairs...
You try in her workshop next. You proceed downstairs to the area you were summoned in. She's sitting by her workbench and performing some kind of planning by a map. Perhaps she's preparing for the war.
"Woman!" you call out. Tohsaka barely has the time to turn around before Nimrod jumps onto her.

"Wo--" the woman catches the lion cub in her hands and holds it. "--ah. Where did you get this?" she looks up at you suspiciously. You reply by grinning smugly and folding your arms. "Trivial question! My treasuries contain the finest of things, including mini-zoos. I decided I will require a companion. Their name is Nimrod, after my grandfather."

"Their?..." Tohsaka rises the cub by its arms and glares at its private parts. Her face reddens in shock, incapable of understanding how this happens. She looks up at you after lowering it onto her knees. Nimrod gently licks her cheek to show affection and she just stares at you. In seconds, Tohsaka returns to reality and realizes a cute lion is on her knees. She pets Nimrod and shares affections with them for a few seconds.
  1. "So, what is the plan for the Holy Grail War?" you return to a serious expression. And propose the following course of action:
    1. Raid the Three Great Families.
      1. Einzbern.
      2. Matou.
      3. Tohsaka.
    2. Check the primary leyline spots and power nodes for the bases of Masters. It's obvious they'd want to live somewhere where energy is plentiful, so suggest this to Rin. However, you'll only have time for one part of Fuyuki city in one night.
      1. Check out Miyama Town. Prioritize the areas around the Tohsaka Residence.
      2. Check out Mount Enzu. Prioritize Ryuudou Temple, the lake behind it, and the areas around it. The Grail told you this when you were summoned: It lays on a major node, and legends tell of dragons training monks in martial arts behind the temple near the lake.
      3. Check out the Shinto Area.
      4. Check out the harbor line.
    3. Entice enemy Servants to do battle.
      1. Simply attract attention by letting your presence by detected by other Servants. Stop suppressing it and go ahead.
      2. Carpet-bomb the city.
    4. Don't do anything battle-related tonight. Simply wait and watch the moves of your enemies.

We need to add Shinji to our harem

No I meant Shinji.

We must acquire Shinji and Kirei for our harem. Sakura can be spared tho, she is a good cook.
You are right, but you are wrong.

Kirei is best girl. We NEED him in tha harem. Him and his mapo tofu. But Shinji is a piece of shit. He'll be a slave. I agree with Sakura, though. She's a good girl.
