Pandora Ambrose
Location: Sabbat Castle
Pandora finally found the source of the blood, though she may have taken a while because te fighting has already begun. It probably didn't help that she had to kill every cultist in her path and she even made a few detours just to makr sure she purged this place of those scum. What, the blood may supply their doomsday weapon? So what, Pandora will just crush that next. Anyway, Pandora was also quite slow due to her armor, so even if she hadn't taken those detours she would still have been late for this.

Well what do you know, as soon as she got there, Azazel ordered her to take the others, wherever they may be, and flank the enemy. Oh okay, so what he's saying is for Pandora, the slowest person right here, to find the others who may e scattered around the castle or even back in yhe forest when she would e the most useful person to pit against a demon? Oh yeah, fuck that. "No way!" She shouted as she charged towards the demon.

"Stand back guild master!" She called out to him to warn him as she casted her magic. "Heaven's Wrath!" She shouted as her magic was completed. The clouds were parted as a burning beam of light soared down and struck the demon. Whether the spell killed it or not, it would have taken a huge amount of damage since the magic was of the holy and light attribute that the demons are weak against. "Well hopefully the guild master dodged it." She said as she headed towards the demon, her guard up in case it survived.

@Birdsir Kylesar1 Kylesar1
Since the demon was moving and spinning, it didn't take as much damage as one would've hoped from the massive spell. It did get out before the spell vaporized it. While most enemies would've stopped, the demon was in a berserk rage. It was like an angry Polar Bear (who's been said to have charged into direct gunfire if mad enough). It took a lot of damage, but not enough to stop its movements

The ground underneath her gave way suddenly, sending her plunging right into an ocean of blood. Her heavy armor, while certainly not helping her get out of the blood due to its extreme weight when paired with the rest of her armaments, could give her a bit of protection by slowing her drowning down by just a bit. Blood is also much thicker than water, so the further down she went, the greater the pressure, thus the faster she sank, so the harder it was to escape.

If she could get out of her armor, she could swim her way out, but if not, and no one could dispel the blood enough for her to escape, she either had to rely on someone else, or pray someone hurt Hemos enough for it to dispel

Hemo's Chamber

a portal appears behind Azazel and James floats out. "Ah sir... I finally found you..." James held out his hands and scanned the demon. "Oh dear... here... let me assist you..." James pointed his palms towards the demon's oncoming blade... the blade went into a portal avoiding Azazel cleanly. portal appears behind the demon... sending its own blade rushing towards it's neck.

"While I'm here... I hope you don't mind... I do hate to butt into fights..." James aimed his palms on the lava... making it recede back into its magical circle. The magical circle then shattered. "He shouldn't be able to use that particular spell from now on... no need to thank me..." James said telepathically.
The demon was moving and spinning the entire time, effectively making the portal spell useless as the blades missed its neck. If anything, after the demon moved past the portal, it'd

Another Lavafall magic circle appeared above each of their heads and lava poured out. This time, the magic circle followed each of them from above. This was an alteration of the spell, thus making it different than the one he just disabled. While the demon wasn't intelligent, it wasn't a complete idiot

The demon was dying, but gimmicks like that were useless. The demon had an arsenal of spells at its disposal

"I commend your teamwork," he said as Shade blocked his attack. Shade just probably saved her life. He didn't bother trying it again, as they'd see it coming this time and be able to counter it more effectively.

5 Blood bubbles rose up around them both and surrounded them. Hemos kept his distance and slashed. The bubble to their right slashed at them at their right sides. Hemos kept slashing. Every slash came from a random place, and he started speeding up. If she could sense magic buildup, she'd sense a slight buildup in a bubble, which would help tell where the attack comes from. However, Hemos was starting to speed up, which would make the slashes harder to dodge or block

They could charge at him, but he'd obviously see them charge and be ready to dodge or block

She monologued as the atmosphere around Artoria got, all of a sudden, glorious and triumphant. the golden particles all gathered in the sword, as an enormous magical buildup could be sensed by any mage within a 10-mile radius. She took a deep breath, channeling all of her mana into the sword. She stepped forward, that one step producing shockwaves all around the armored woman that could easily knock off a normal man off his feet. "EXCALIBUR!" She yelled out, bringing down her sword, as a huge burst of energy came out of the sword, destroying anything in its path. It was directed towards Hemos and, due to his distance, it'd be very hard for him to dodge. The golden, magical blade traveled forward, ready to purge her foes.

Pandora Ambrose

Location:
Sabbot Castle

Pandora clicked her tongue when the demon managed to get out of the spell radius before it got fully vaporised. As expected, it was quite a powerful demon to have even survived that long without being obliterated by the spell. It had suffered extreme injuries but instead of being weakened by it the demon intead lashed out in fury, becoming stronger and faster in order to kill its foe before it gets killed.

Pandora charged towards the demon, her shield raised as she was aiming to bash it with the shield to put it off balance. However, before shr could even get close to the demon the ground gave way underneath her and plunged her into a pool of blood. It wasn't too deep, maybe just barely able to engulf her, but the armor made it hard to reach the surface. At this rate she would suffocate underneath the blood.

"Armament Off!" She could barely chant before she plunged underneath the waves once more. Thr heavy armor immediately disappeared from her body, allowing her to swim up the surface and take a gulp of air. She had to get out of here, and swimming would be hard with her hammer and shield in her grasp. She had an ingenious plan in mind however.

Instead of swimming to the edge, Pandora swam down towards the floor. Enduring as the blood stings her eyes and entering her ears, Pandora planted the shield firmly on the ground. As she supplied it with mana, the shield suddenly expanded in size, growing to more than thrice its size in an instant. Pandora was rocketed out of th pool of blood, letting go of th shield to fly out of te pool.

Being disoriented and slick with blood, Pandora flopped towards the floor with a loud thud. Pandoa coughed and retched as she vomited the blood she swallow. "Fucking hell." She said as she slowly stood up, covered in blood and with only a hammer in hand. Pandora barely stood up when a burst of bright light surged towards the blood mage. "Hope that killed te fucker." She muttered as she spit out a glob of blood stuck to her throat.

She turned around to face the demon, her eyes burning with anger and hatred. "Time to end this." She said as her hammer enlarged in size, turning into a warhammer nearly as big as her. "Raaaaggh!!!" She screamed in primal fury as she charged towards the demon, her hammer burning with holy flames.

Damian Vi Lasombra
Throne Room

Damian knew the basic rules of fighting with knives. You wouldn't believe what living on the streets ever since you were eight gave you. The golden rule was to never use your hand to shield yourself. It was counter-productive, as a knife would cut through and hurt your hand instead of your chest and face - but it would still hurt you. The risk was that the possibility of having your cartilage pierced was too great, as a lot of blood under pressure flowed through the hand and could lead to quick death if one used their arm as cover. The same rule applied here, except that not following it would bring greater consequences. Damian relaxed his stance and went with the flow, fluidly dodging the slashes, by stepping to the sides and slowly retreating, but changing the direction of said retreat when near a wall to not get cornered.

After roughly 20 seconds of this, Damian smiled and jumped back. "You think you've mastered the shadows just because you made a deal with some crossroad demon? Hmph. You are nothing but a sad puppet. I was born into darkness, you merely bought it. Face your demise, YOU IDIOT!" he yelled out. He rose his hand, as all of the shadows, including the one surrounding the headmaster, moved into one, concentrated spot, forming a ball that was roughly 50 centimeters (20 inches) in diameter. The ball of pure shadows and darkness was under Damian's control, as the Arts of Obtenebration he learned were honed for all his life thus far; he had an edge in experience over the headmaster. "EAT IT!" he yelled, as the ball thrust itself toward the headmaster, splitting into streams of pure, materialized darkness, as cold as the night. If it succeeded, the shadows would go through his nose, mouth, ears, and other orifices to enter his body and slowly make his systems drown in them, disabling their workings.

The following part applies only if his attack was successful...

Unless the headmaster was some form of purely spiritual being, this would quickly kill him, but Damian decided to clean up the evidence as a bonus. He had the shadows burst and contract once within the headmaster's body. The amount of pressure within his body could crack bone and tear through flesh, and again; unless the headmaster had some protection; this would make his body explode like a bloody bomb.

The following part applies only if he didn't survive...

"They ripped you off," Damian joked. The pun was bad, but it actually had some meaning behind it. Apparently, as the headmaster said, his deal cost him 500 souls, which was a complete ripoff. Damian could get the same power as him for no more than 10. 'What an incompetent,' he commented in his thoughts, now in control of the Sabbat. "But... I think I'll take that knife. Death magic like that is quite neat, I do have to admit," he said, nearing where the body used to be and taking the death knife, then hiding it underneath his robe.

EQUIPMENT ADDED: Death Knife: The thaumaturgical marks of death magic are so thick that this knife emulates a reaper's death scythe. Instant death if it hits, to all but another Reaper or a God, giving no chance to come back as any form of ghost. By extracting souls and instantly delivering them to the other side, this knife can get rid of ghosts and demons as well in just a single slash. All the wielder has to do is get close.

Azazel Rofocale
Hemos' Chamber

Azazel emerged from the cloud of dust, managing to have dodged to the side. "Damn it, Pandora! Are you trying to kill me?" he asked.

Being weakened from the holy energies in the room, Azazel felt a grandiose pain all over his body. He couldn't help but stand in place half-conscious for several moments. He could not process what was happening and by the time he had come to his senses, he saw her shoot out of the blood. Azazel strode forward, slowly, but menacingly, commenting on Pandora's words. "It is unsightly for a Paladin or even a lady to use such language, Pandora," he said, trying to keep track of her behavior and making sure she doesn't derail too much. "Pandora?" he looked to his side, but she was gone, already having run toward the demon to hit him with her warhammer. Azazel sighed. 'Remind me to sign her up for yoga and meditation classes. She needs to calm down,' he thought to himself, again, walking forward slowly, but menacingly.

Well Sir that just made me feel very useless... bravo!" James clapped his hands. He watched as his allies managed to defeat Hemos and his demon. "Splendid show, magnificent. And judging by the way you simply ignored my presence and disregarded me in any of your plans, I would say that you could have very well done all of this without me..." James shrugged. "I did detect a portal from the demon world open up... but since the writers of this story prefer this plot to be untouched, I guess I will ignore it... I mean they roleplay as the good guys and the bad guys after all... It would be a shame if a being that detects magic spoils their devilish plans!" James said sarcastically as he shook his head. MALCOLM MOORE
Cultists Grounds > Sabbath Castle Lobby

Malcolm growled with annoyance. He's right, I can't stay here any longer. Malcolm didn't release the man from the cage, hopefully it would hold him for a little bit until he came back. Malcolm sprinted towards the castle lobby but with a frown on his face. He was quite disappointed in himself; he didn't get to do anything except for run into some creepy man with a mask. Hopefully he could just lie low to avoid shame. Malcolm jumped over a corpse of a mage and looked behind him. The cage of hardened sand was falling to the ground, leaving the masked man free. He wasn't paying attention so of course the one thing he probably did right, went wrong. It didn't matter anyway, Malcolm thought, shaking his head. The man would have probably just sliced through the sand with ease... he looked like he knew what he was doing.

He had arrived just in time to see the girl with the owls 'arrest' a man who was being held up by her flying pets. It was quite an odd sight. Everyone looked tired or at least scratched up from battle. He scratched his head and sighed.

"I missed it, didn't I?" Malcolm said with disappointment.

Sabbat Castle (Rooftop)

The armored drifter didn't flinch at all as the structure of sand fell all around him. Not a word was said as he trudged forward towards the castle. Piles of human corpses littered the floor as the Drifter stepped through. He entered the castle, avoiding the conflict within, and made his way up the stairs. He climbed up the walls and reached the rooftops. The warm wind blew his cape and silver hair as he stared longingly at Bowerstone Castle from the distance. "Daisy... Conrad... Master Fred... Mephisto... Aegis..." The angst filled metallic voice spoke softly as he watched the sunset dropped behind the castle. "Why... am I allowed to live... when all of you had to perish? What god is cruel enough to make me watch all of you suffer a horrible death?" The Drifter said quietly. His cape flapped wildly in the wind as he quietly watched the view of the castle. "What... should I do... Conrad?" He asked the wind. "This world... I don't belong in this world... Is it even worth saving?" He looked at his open hand and crushed his fingers quickly into a fist. He moves his eyes from the sunset to the long fall beneath him... contemplating taking his own life. The act sounded quite tempting in his mind... to abandon all responsibility and be reunited with his old comrades. "I can't die yet... not yet..."

Siegurd had been too occupied preparing himself for the mission that he completely missed the entire thing, and had only discovered right after the volunteers had left that he had missed it. "Oi! What're you doing, leaving the mascot behind!?" He had shouted after them irritatedly in the courtyard, his squeaky child's voice echoing throughout the fort. He had since spent the rest of the day so far flying around and pouting over his great misfortune. "As soon as that Azazel gets back, I'll... I'll... give him a piece of my mind, that's what!"

Soon wandering into the library, he found himself directly facing an irate James and a pile of books just a few steps away. The... creature was talking to himself, and considering that Sieg had been to the library just moments earlier, and James was absent then, he assumed that James had just arrived. "Hey, James!" He called out, hovering closer to the books. "Did you get left behind, too?"

After the fight outside the castle, Auric decided that he would just sit the rest out. Perhaps it was laziness, but in his eyes, he never signed up for the quest and only ended up in the middle of it because of a poorly-chosen place to sleep. And besides, Auric would've intervened if he was needed, but the rest of the party was qualified enough. Perhaps a little too much.
Auric slunk into the room where it all had went down, as casually as possible given that everyone else was drenched in blood. "So," he said, mostly to Azazel, "What happened here?"

Azazel rallied everyone. "Alright, people. Don't do no more. That's it for today. We're going back. I'll notify the High Lords of Albion about this place once we're back," he yelled out, trying to call all Guild members to one place. No matter where everyone ran off to, the teleportation sigil would still affect them, and so; everyone, including the taken prisoners and Hemos, all started glowing with a faint blue color, then disappeared, only to appear once again in the courtyard. Azazel unsummoned his armor, feeling much better in his robes. After adjusting his helmet, he muttered. "My, that took a while," as he looked back at the 40 prisoners he took being taken toward the dungeon. There was barely place for that many. They'd have to be put in groups of three if not four per cell. And fortunately, the cells had protection against spells, thus none of them would be able to work their fancy magical tricks.

The Guildmaster looked out into the crowd and asked two of the Guild members to come to him. "Artoria, Pandora. May I talk with you both in my office, in... ten minutes?" he asked, then walked off to said location.

It was a derivative of potions that she had read in the library.

Carrying a massive tray of cookies, she locked her cage to her belt and balanced her staff against her shoulders, gingerly walking out of the kitchen. As she walked down the hall, she noticed Artoria. "Ah, Artoria. Welcome back. Perhaps you would like a cookie?" Aureliana presented the tray, "Choose any one of them. As Pandora charged, she could barely hear what the guild master was saying. She was too focused on destroying the demon that she had no time to pay attention to anything wlse. She just wanted to sink her hammer ito that demon scum's face and see it explode like a watermelon then hit it a few more time just to be sure. Then burn it into a pile of wretched and disgusting ash before purifying it and burying it beneath the ground.

Of course, as luck would have it, just as she was about to swing her hammer into the demon, poof!, it was gone like a dream. "What?! No! Bring that fucker back! I want to smash iit into the ground!!!!!" She yelled as she slammed her war hammer into the earth a few times, the ground shaking every time she did. With a murderous glare in her eyes she turned towards the blood mage. "You." She muttered before charging towards the mage. She wanted to hit something sift and fragile with the hammer, and that man would do.

As if the world hates, or loves her if you look at it another way, she was suddenly whisked back to base, where the only thjng she smashed was a beautiful patch of daffodils. Boy, the gardner would not like that. "Fuck the world!!" She let out a scream before calming down. She sulkily chanted 'Armament Off' and the hammer, and the shield back at the castle, disappeared with magic and would return should she need it. This has been a disappointing and frustrating day for her and she wanted nothing more than to sleep, and maybe pray as well.

Of course Azazel hust had to call for her. Fuck that, she wanted to say, but of course she'd need to go there. At least someone else is coming. "Just let me get this blood off me." Come in once Pandora leaves," he requested then walked into his office, closing the door once Pandora walked in.

"Pandora, before we begin this conversation, I wanted to ask you if you learned anything today?" he asked her in a tone that was brimming with 'You know what I'm talking about and you better damn answer the question.' Azazel merely stared at her. His voice was warm and inviting. He managed to find a good balance between the voice of a wise teacher and a sympathetic friend and gave the same impression as well. You could read from Azazel's body language that he was very calm and patient.

With a smile and a nod, Aureliana began walking away. She saw Pandora and Azazel and was bummed out. They had entered the office before she could give them anything. "Artoria, take these cookies and hand it to Pandora and Azazel. She would like these on the top of the tray and Azazel would like the spooky set in the corner." The cookies she alluded to were Chamomile filled cookies and a set of cookies in the shape of a skull and had a black mist coming out of it.

His Room - Fort Black

Damian made his way over to his room to commune with his father via silent prayer. After a quick exchange of words, Damian felt no need for wasting any more time and decided to do his best integrating into the Guild persona. He looked out the window and saw Iclyn under her tree. Deciding it was a good chance of exchanging information, he walked down to her and approached with a friendly smile. His body language was fluid and relaxed, suggesting that a calm, friendly man approached her. "Good morning, I'm Damian Vi Lasombra. I'm new around here. Just thought I'd say hello. Plus, you looked pretty lonely here under this tree. And bored."

"Hello, I'm Iclyn Hajnal Holmström. I'm fine. Just pondering this rune. It's missing an ordinance ring, so I've been trying to figure out what goes there." She said as she summoned a floating image of the rune she was referring to. The man himself seemed pretty friendly, but she was still pretty weary. What's this pretty boy want out of me? Does he know that I'm the Winter Wanderer or is he trying to hit on me? She hoped that giving him the rune to ponder over would trip him up and break character if he was trying to get her. It was definitely a different character from when she saw him this morning.

Oh great, so this was going yo be a one on one? Yeah, like he's about to praise her for how well she did and that he'd let Pandora smitr his demon nephew? Fat chance. Of course she'd be scolded and lectured, what else happens in these cases? One on ones are never good, which she knows since she's been to a frw back in the Order. Heck, she'd been flogged for disobedience a few times so this should be tamer than those one on one in tw Order.

"What, that I messed up? Because that's the only thing that comes to mind." She said to him. "Look, just stop with the mysterious and wise persona okay? Just lay it out in the open and I'll receive the punishment and consequence. Just e straight with me at least." She hates those mentors the most, the mysterious ones who barely teaches you anything. They're so annoying and they only do that for themselves since it obviously doesn't help their students.

"I am a mage-in-training, however, I am not studying runes. I'm afraid I can't help you," he replied with a frown. "Well, either way," he quickly changed subject, trying to think of some beneficial subject he could investigate. "What is life here like? How often do missions like the one today take place?" he inquired. Knowing stuff like that would be useful in case he had to work far away from the Guild. He couldn't just be there all the time, after all.

"Very well then, I will be straightforward. Pandora, you have your heart in the right place, but your mind is gone the wrong path. The amounts of anger and fury you feel on the battlefield are tremendous. You have slain your way through hordes of men. Now, I can understand of the killing of several people in self-defense at most. But these men you faced were nothing but useless cannon fodder to you, but you crushed them mercilessly. That behavior is not appropriate. Even though these men may be damned in soul, they still have a chance to redeem themselves, for a human life is long and full of turns at each corner, Pandora," he gave a short speech about his reasoning.

"I have decided to teach you about the sanctity of life, to teach you how to control your temper, and lastly; to teach you discipline before your lack of manners blows me out of proportion and I turn back into an imp," he said. It was almost a joke, and would have probably been funny had the situation not been so tense and had Azazel's own voice not sounded very reprimanding as his words flowed out of his mouth. Azazel stood up, giving Pandora a keychain.

"These are the keys to the dungeon. From now on, you will work as the Warden from six to fourteen o'clock. You will also partake in meditation classes and try to find inner peace. And lastly; meet me in the forest tomorrow at noon. Then, I will teach you the sanctity of life in a very straightforward way, just how you want it," he clenched his fists and shortly after he was done speaking, he turned around and faced the window behind himself. He stood like that for a few moments, not speaking. In his body language overall, there was much hesitation, but his voice finally broke the silence.

"By the way. The reason I'm different," he suddenly spoke, out of the blue, in a completely different tone. It didn't sound that serious anymore. It was less formal and more personal. "It's love," he slightly turned his head. "Gods wouldn't care about a mere imp like me, I know it from over three hundred years of experience and I know that Gods would never care. Who cared for me was the priestess herself. That day, she had objected to her class about demons being evil - feeling there may be compassion in these fallen, wretched creatures, and moved toward the battlefield to tend to the injured from both sides, even though one of them were demons that I myself knew to be evil," he explained. "Who saved me wasn't favor of the Gods or a miracle. It was a personal miracle, realized by a human, and a human's love and compassion. That is why I put equal faith in those close to me as I do in deities. I hope you can derive a lesson from this Pandora. You may now leave," he returned to his usual, formal tone by the end. You could tell he spoke out of line, directed more by emotions rather than his usual personality of a calm sage and the formal attire of the Guildmaster. Who was speaking was Azazel from the heart, not some cold machine that keeps law and balance.

After that, he simply watched the space outside the window. The beautiful planet this world was blessed with was far too illustrious for words. And he was glad that he could see it. He was thankful to the woman that saved his very existence that day and opened his eyes on the world. Azazel took a deep breath, preparing for his other conversation; with Artoria.

Iclyn eventually settled on stupidly friendly person. "Well, that's ok. Those who practices runes, are rare to come by anyway." With the wave of a hand, the rune disappeared. "I can't tell you much. I just came to the guild some time ago. I'd probably say about anywhere between 3 times a week to once a month depending on severity, and this one seemed quite severe. Life so far has been pretty comfortable. 3 meals a day, an income, places to study and relax, and the library. Oh the library, it's so great, has all the knowledge and runes that would've taken me half my lifetime to find on my own, maybe more." Iclyn stopped herself. Her mind had wandered off without her.

Reina had continued to storm the halls, venturing through in her effort to find the one in charge. She remained oblivious to her 'stalker' Iris as she wandered ahead continuing to beat back any who stood in her way, dealing mostly with light weights unaware of her companions fighting a much more dangerous foe. It was as she was venturing down the hall she felt a familiar sensation as a glow formed around her. "Awww but I didn't even have fun and..." She spoke out as she was suddenly teleported away before finishing her sentence.

"...get any action." Her words finished as she found herself standing in the fort, a frown on her. The blonde pouted, a little frustrated about a lack of finding a 'fun' fight not managing to find the leader in time. She brushed herself off a bit, working on fixing up her dress a bit. The half dragon looked around curiously at the others blinking a bit as she looked to be in some thought. She wasn't sure what to do with herself now that it seemed her plans for the day were foiled. She looked to find Az-sensei only to notice he seemed to pull away two of the guild members away making her pout a bit.

"Nnnn... I got nothing fun to do...." She softly whined a little bit, playing with her fingers. It wasn't as if she really couldn't afford to find something to do. Reina had plenty of money behind her name due to her father and her family name. As isolated as she was from most of her relatives she wasn't isolated much at all from wealth far beyond what any normal person might ever need to do nearly anything they might ever wish to do.
