My plan is that the two packs will be forced to relocate due to the massive fire, caused by the hunters. They will have to travel together, which will bring up any issues.

Charon is dead, he was killed by a massive flaming oak falling on him during the fire. Before his death, he got into a scuffle with Fuzen, which ended up with Fuzen receiving three gouges across his muzzle, similar to Charon. Yet Fuzen's glow golden.
Fuzen and Clara are sort of in love with one and other, after Clara saved his life from a hunter's trap earlier within the story.
Ayka's pup, Ryka, died during the fire due to smoke inhalation.
We had the NPC characters move to the other side of the river into no-man's land to take shelter from the fire.

By the way, that death was on fucking point, you got his personality down and everything. I loved it.
so much so that returning just so he can shamble his way back to the group and surprise everyone is tempting but impossible
