@Kaerri If I have been using a GM only subforum in my RP for secret plotting, and if roles are likely to disappear, would you consider it prudent to hide those secret plotting threads? I just don't want my players to see what twists and turns I have planned ahead.

It would be a good idea, yes.  I don't know what will happen to permissions and the like.  Moving them (copy/paste?) to your private workshop would work also.

I'm usually a premade style I purchased from the xenforo store for the default style since xF2 is around the corner, no point in massively investing time in something new from scratch. Been slowly editing it to make something decently unique.

Trying to go with google material philosophy in mind here. Certainly feels a lot cleaner to me, but then again I can see the whole thing, thats just a small screenshot.

That's...interesting. Not bad, just different. Usually, I've noticed a seamlessness to the coloring, like a uniformity. Are the colors how they might be (subject to change obviously) but of similar to what you're aiming for? Or will they be made a uniform color?


I like it, though, organization wise it's fairly simple and easy to navigate, user-friendly and such.

There will be a night life style yes, But it won't have this many colors. It will be pretty standard like the one we have here.

Honestly, the ultimate true goal is to get art done for each section of the site, so the colors could ultimately become just placeholders. One of @Ghan's friends did a ton of the Monster Drawings for DnD's latest monster manual.

Until that is done however, I don't have an issue with leaving the default style colorful, regardless, anyone who hates the light style, will always use the nyte life theme.

Theres no way I can create an option to control the color of the boxes before xF2. A dark style like we one we have now is coming, depending on what happens if I need a surgery or not later down the month, I'll see if I make it a dark version of this one instead .

I'm dyslexic, the colors would probubly be helpful for me to find the things I need easer.  Like I could just learn that orang means interest checks for 1x1, which is all I really use.

i hope you don't mind me chiming in with my thoughts and being a bit blunt: i really don't like these colors. to be honest, i don't think they go together at all, and the lack of borders around everything makes everything look especially, offensively loud. i think maybe if they were more muted or they had more of clear palette, the layout would be workable, but to me, as it is, it's downright unpleasant. everything's vying for my attention in an obnoxious way, and it's a stark, frankly nasty contrast to the much quieter colored site around it.


i do like the general idea, though! if it used different colors or the icons, i think this would be a very clean, modern look? i just feel very strongly against it as it is.

I LOVE that style. But I too think that the colors could be different. Just maybe not so...bright. It is a bit loud.

Honestly, I think I'm going to proceed with the colors (will alter them for the final product most likely) just so that this doesn't hold up everything. Who ever doesn't like it can switch to Color me (a traditional looking style that lets you change the colors of the background of the site to your whim, like it does here now on this site) and Night Life.

Because the other two are exactly the same thing you get here.


The colors for the default are not set in stone, I was just show casing it .

I am confused. If they are exactly the same, then what is the point of having three themes?


The colors on what is shown do not seem to go together at all. And if the colors do not match in one, I am concerned that they would not match in the others. Will the actual colors differ from one theme to another and can there be a theme where they are all the same or close to the same?

They are the same as to the ones you get here on IPS..........They are traditional styles, nothing is special about them...



They aren't boxes like this one. Go to the bottom of the site and switch to Color Me and The Night Life and see what they do.
